- 0:01Speaker 1: Hey, I was going to get into this article I
- 0:02Speaker 1: saw about millennials are confused by Gen Z's dating habits.
- 0:08Speaker 1: And the first thing it says, and I'm just going
- 0:10Speaker 1: to go off this one thing and peel back the layers.
- 0:12Speaker 1: It says, Gen Z gets the ick over the smallest things.
- 0:17Speaker 1: It says, sure, if something's a deal breaker, you would
- 0:20Speaker 1: want to be that person, but ghosting someone over something
- 0:23Speaker 1: silly is very weird to me. And they made me
- 0:25Speaker 1: think about Halloween. And I want to know if there's anybody...
- 0:29Speaker 1: that immediately gets the ick by a Halloween costume.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Oh.
- 0:33Speaker 1: And why? Huh. All right, so 877-937-1047. Oh, I feel
- 0:39Speaker 1: like I... You got one?
- 0:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like if, like, in general, like, if
- 0:42Speaker 3: you dress up as someone that, like, people don't like
- 0:45Speaker 3: or hate just to get a reaction out of people, like,
- 0:48Speaker 3: your costume gets on my nerves.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Like, you know what I mean?
- 0:51Speaker 3: Like, if you, like, dress up as, like, Dahmer, why?
- 0:53Speaker 3: He's gross.
- 0:55Speaker 1: But when you get the ick, like let's say you're
- 0:56Speaker 1: single and Kadeem walks into the party and he's dressed
- 1:00Speaker 1: as Michael Phelps in a Speedo. You get the ick
- 1:03Speaker 1: and go, oh, God, I'm not going to go that guy.
- 1:04Speaker 1: I don't know. I might like what he's packing.
- 1:06Speaker 4: It just depends on what it looks like.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Chloe, what Halloween costume is immediate ick for you and why?
- 1:15Speaker 2: It's that inflatable T-Rex.
- 1:19Speaker 1: We did that one year.
- 1:20Speaker 5: We did.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Those are funny running videos.
- 1:22Speaker 5: Yeah, it's fun.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Well, let's find out why. Why is that the ick
- 1:26Speaker 1: for you?
- 1:26Speaker 2: Okay, I hooked up with this guy, and he was
- 1:28Speaker 2: wearing one. And then the next morning, he refused to
- 1:32Speaker 2: take it off. I was a little, like, baffled by it,
- 1:36Speaker 2: but he was serious. So he wore it, just disclosure,
- 1:39Speaker 2: he wore it while we hooked up. Somehow, he made
- 1:42Speaker 2: it work that night. It was kind of awkward, but
- 1:45Speaker 2: it was fine.
- 1:45Speaker 6: And then.
- 1:47Speaker 2: He said he wanted to just like keep the bit
- 1:49Speaker 2: going in the morning. So he was still inflated when
- 1:52Speaker 2: he walked into his kitchen to make his breakfast.
- 1:55Speaker 7: And I was.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Literally holding back tears.
- 1:57Speaker 8: I'm like, this can't be serious.
- 1:59Speaker 2: But he couldn't reach for anything. He kept knocking over
- 2:01Speaker 2: stuff like water and like closing cabinets.
- 2:05Speaker 3: I mean, eventually he got.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Like stuck sideways in the hallway and he refused to
- 2:10Speaker 2: take it off. It was crazy. And it just went,
- 2:14Speaker 2: it kind of went from like funny to being weird,
- 2:16Speaker 2: you know?
- 2:17Speaker 3: Yeah. And especially too, because those inflatable like costumes, they
- 2:20Speaker 3: have that like really annoying fan that goes the whole time,
- 2:24Speaker 3: the whole time.
- 2:25Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:26Speaker 2: He kept it on when you were sleeping?
- 2:32Speaker 8: Ew.
- 2:33Speaker 1: That's not even comfortable for him.
- 2:35Speaker 5: Like, it's hard to breathe in those things.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I'm sure that thing stunk. You said he wanted to
- 2:39Speaker 1: keep the bit going, so he was still inflated when
- 2:41Speaker 1: he walked into the kitchen. When you say inflated, do
- 2:44Speaker 1: you mean the costume, or do you mean he was
- 2:46Speaker 1: excited to see you?
- 2:47Speaker 9: Oh, geez.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I wish it was the latter, but no, it.
- 2:51Speaker 6: Was a costume.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Okay, so then you guys got intimate, and he kept
- 2:54Speaker 1: the dinosaur costume on. That's what you're saying. Yeah, nighttime.
- 2:57Speaker 5: I mean, I was a little tipsy.
- 2:59Speaker 7: I mean, it was a little weird, but I was.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Like, okay.
- 3:01Speaker 1: And it made it work. It was fine. It made
- 3:02Speaker 1: it work. So that would be like, if he made
- 3:04Speaker 1: it work, because I remember when we had those costumes on,
- 3:06Speaker 1: I'm assuming then he didn't have to wear a condom. No,
- 3:09Speaker 1: he did. Okay, good. Yeah, you would need to. Because
- 3:13Speaker 1: if you unzip it, the air comes out. Maybe he
- 3:15Speaker 1: cut a hole? I'm saying he used the costume as
- 3:17Speaker 1: a condom if it stayed on the whole time. Yeah,
- 3:19Speaker 1: there's no hole. How would it hurt? The air comes out.
- 3:21Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to figure out how the logistics...
- 3:24Speaker 1: That is twisted. He cut a hole.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I didn't even know where your brain went there.
- 3:27Speaker 1: That's interesting.
- 3:28Speaker 6: No, there was.
- 3:30Speaker 5: extra protection then.
- 3:32Speaker 1: So hard to visualize this whole thing.
- 3:34Speaker 5: I know, I know.
- 3:34Speaker 3: I'm very confused.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Now, also, I know that there are people that had
- 3:37Speaker 1: these weird latex fetishes. Have you seen that?
- 3:39Speaker 6: No.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I wonder if he's one of those guys. Look it up.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Look it up. It's quite crazy.
- 3:43Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 3:43Speaker 5: I'll just take your word for it.
- 3:45Speaker 2: There's inflatable T-Rex or plastic.
- 3:47Speaker 7: Like, latex at least would feel.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Well, I said latex, but maybe he has a plastic fetish.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Maybe he has something... I mean, that's weird. I mean,
- 3:53Speaker 1: it is very, very weird to do that. What was
- 3:56Speaker 1: your costume?
- 3:57Speaker 2: Yeah. I was a French maid.
- 3:59Speaker 5: Oh, good.
- 4:00Speaker 1: All right. Classic.
- 4:01Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh.
- 4:03Speaker 6: John Jay.
- 4:03Speaker 1: What? There's an inflatable fetish. Oh, see, there you go.
- 4:07Speaker 1: It's called inflatophilia.
- 4:09Speaker 8: Ew.
- 4:10Speaker 1: See, there you go.
- 4:11Speaker 5: When you add a philia, it makes it creepy.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I mean, it's her that has it.
- 4:14Speaker 5: She's the one who hooked up with it. It makes
- 4:16Speaker 5: it worse.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I mean, I knew there was something. See what I mean?
- 4:19Speaker 1: That's a new one for me. And I'm the one
- 4:21Speaker 1: that told you about the latex fetish.
- 4:25Speaker 2: You found it.
- 4:25Speaker 1: All right. Well, thank you for calling in and sharing
- 4:27Speaker 1: that with us, Chloe. Lydia, good morning.
- 4:30Speaker 10: Good morning.
- 4:32Speaker 1: All right, so we want to know what Halloween costume
- 4:34Speaker 1: immediately gave you the ick and why.
- 4:37Speaker 10: Guys dressed as vampires.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Why?
- 4:41Speaker 10: And the reason, this is why. Because I was at
- 4:45Speaker 10: a Halloween party one night and I hooked up with
- 4:49Speaker 10: this guy.
- 4:49Speaker 2: That was dressed as a vampire.
- 4:51Speaker 1: We go back to my place. He's kissing me.
- 4:53Speaker 10: He's like, I've been told I leave a mark.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, whatever.
- 4:56Speaker 10: So we're making out. Go to sleep. I wake up.
- 4:59Speaker 1: He's already gone.
- 5:00Speaker 10: I get dressed and I look in the mirror and
- 5:03Speaker 10: I have hickeys on my neck all over my body.
- 5:07Speaker 10: I didn't even realize he was on my.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Calf, sucking my calf.
- 5:11Speaker 2: And I had, yeah, they were everywhere.
- 5:14Speaker 10: I had brunch with my mom that day. I had
- 5:18Speaker 10: to wear like a turtleneck and covered pants.
- 5:21Speaker 3: And I'm like, oh, I'm just cold. Oh, my gosh.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Hiding Yankees from your parents is like a nightmare in itself.
- 5:29Speaker 5: Also, not knowing many of them are happening because it
- 5:31Speaker 5: sounds like there were many.
- 5:32Speaker 11: She was just like, it was a wild night.
- 5:35Speaker 1: She was all over you.
- 5:36Speaker 5: It was a wild night.
- 5:37Speaker 1: The visual of the Catholic is pretty exciting. Wow, very nice. Okay,
- 5:43Speaker 1: so now you see a vampire like, no, forget it.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I would think it'd be the other way around. That
- 5:46Speaker 1: was a lot of fun. Let's go.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Don't we have the freakiest listeners?
- 5:49Speaker 1: We do.
- 5:49Speaker 3: At least he was just sucking and not biting because
- 5:51Speaker 3: that would be like a bruise. Like, you know?
- 5:53Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 5:54Speaker 5: All right, Lydia.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Well, thank you very much for calling in. Should I
- 5:58Speaker 1: go over the rest of the list of the ick?
- 6:00Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Sure. It was like millennials are confused by Gen Z's
- 6:04Speaker 1: dating habits. Number one, Gen Z gets the ick over
- 6:06Speaker 1: the smallest things. Gen Z will call something a red
- 6:09Speaker 1: flag when it's actually a green flag just because it
- 6:11Speaker 1: gives them the ick. They'll turn around and celebrate actual
- 6:14Speaker 1: red flags is what they say. The whole exclusive but
- 6:18Speaker 1: not official dating phase that Gen Z has normalized just
- 6:20Speaker 1: seems like an excuse to avoid commitment. Gen Z men
- 6:23Speaker 1: feel like they need to fake confidence, act serious, and
- 6:25Speaker 1: be nonchalant all the time. There's no need to put that...
- 6:29Speaker 1: act on just to seem attractive. People don't want to
- 6:32Speaker 1: deal with someone's minor flaws anymore. It's easy to reject
- 6:34Speaker 1: John or Mary over something like being untidy or impatient
- 6:38Speaker 1: when you think there's a perfect person waiting just a
- 6:40Speaker 1: few swipes away.
- 6:41Speaker 3: I just feel like these are all, I don't know,
- 6:43Speaker 3: maybe having standards.
- 6:46Speaker 1: And you're Gen Z. Boundaries maybe? Millennials say there's way
- 6:48Speaker 1: too much therapy speak and way too much expectations from
- 6:51Speaker 1: people who barely have any life experience or any real knowledge.
- 6:55Speaker 5: That's why you just.
- 6:56Speaker 3: I'm like, everyone needs to step up their game is
- 6:58Speaker 3: what I'm hearing.
- 6:59Speaker 1: So that's just some stuff about millennials that are confused
- 7:01Speaker 1: about Gen Z dating habits. And of course, we'd be
- 7:04Speaker 1: more than happy to continue talking to you about what
- 7:06Speaker 1: Halloween costumes give you the ick.
- 7:08Speaker 6: 877-937-1047.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Halloween costumes that give you the ick. Caitlin, good morning.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 7:30Speaker 5: What do you got?
- 7:33Speaker 9: Okay, so I've experienced this multiple times and unfortunately also
- 7:39Speaker 9: an ex-boyfriend. But any guy who dresses like the Joker,
- 7:45Speaker 9: like specifically from the Heath Ledger version.
- 7:49Speaker 8: It's, like, they think that they are also Heath Ledger-level actors.
- 7:55Speaker 8: And they just, like, it, like, also, they just have,
- 7:59Speaker 8: the costume comes with this, like, really gross persona.
- 8:02Speaker 1: And, like, that they are good enough to, like, do that.
- 8:06Speaker 8: And it usually, like, the guy will do the tongue thing.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Do you know what I'm talking about?
- 8:10Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 8:10Speaker 5: We don't like that. Or he's kind of slobbering through
- 8:12Speaker 5: his speak.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:15Speaker 8: Yes.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Like, why?
- 8:17Speaker 8: I think it's only go audition for a play or something.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Not here, not now.
- 8:22Speaker 1: All right, Caitlin. That's good. That's good. All right. Thank you.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Thanks for listening. Thanks for calling in.
- 8:27Speaker 9: Of course.
- 8:28Speaker 5: Hi, Carrie.
- 8:30Speaker 1: What's a costume that gives you the ick?
- 8:32Speaker 6: Good morning, guys.
- 8:33Speaker 3: How are you?
- 8:34Speaker 1: Good. How are you?
- 8:35Speaker 11: Not too bad, thanks.
- 8:36Speaker 5: So I am.
- 8:39Speaker 11: an emergency room nurse.
- 8:41Speaker 9: So anytime I see someone in a sexy nurse costume,
- 8:44Speaker 9: it gives me the ick because I can tell you
- 8:46Speaker 9: no nurse feels sexy ever.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Hey, being an emergency room nurse, have you seen some
- 8:53Speaker 1: crazy stuff?
- 8:54Speaker 3: Oh.
- 8:54Speaker 1: You have no idea. Give us a little bit. Like what?
- 8:59Speaker 11: Oh, I mean, I've seen people hit by trains.
- 9:01Speaker 3: I've seen gunshot wounds.
- 9:04Speaker 1: You name it, I've seen it. When someone gets hit
- 9:06Speaker 1: by a train, What do they look like when they
- 9:08Speaker 1: come in?
- 9:11Speaker 11: Not like a human.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Do they survive? Have you seen people hit by a
- 9:15Speaker 1: train and they survived?
- 9:17Speaker 11: No, unfortunately not.
- 9:19Speaker 1: What about wounds, like anything awkward that's different? Like I
- 9:22Speaker 1: would assume you get hit by a train, you go
- 9:23Speaker 1: to the emergency room. What's something that someone's come in
- 9:25Speaker 1: there for and you're like, whoa, this truly is a
- 9:29Speaker 1: bizarre emergency?
- 9:30Speaker 11: Well, anything that's a foreign object in a hole that
- 9:33Speaker 11: shouldn't be there is always fine.
- 9:34Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Like what? What foreign object have you taken out of
- 9:38Speaker 1: a hole like that?
- 9:41Speaker 11: We had a wrench once.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Oh.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Yeah. They fell on a wrench in the shower.
- 9:45Speaker 5: Happens all the time.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I get it.
- 9:46Speaker 5: Probably trying to fix the shower.
- 9:49Speaker 1: What else?
- 9:49Speaker 5: Oh, chopsticks.
- 9:52Speaker 9: Oh.
- 9:53Speaker 1: You're eating food in the shower. It was in the
- 9:56Speaker 1: back end.
- 9:57Speaker 9: It was in the front end on a male.
- 9:59Speaker 6: Oh. Oh.
- 10:01Speaker 1: My goodness.
- 10:02Speaker 5: That's just making bad life choices.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Holy smokes. That just messed up the way I'm sitting. Yikes.
- 10:08Speaker 1: All right. We'll leave it at that one right there, Carrie.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Thank you very much.
- 10:12Speaker 5: She scared me half to death.
- 10:14Speaker 1: You're welcome. Holy smokes.
- 10:16Speaker 9: Oh, my gosh.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Wow.
- 10:18Speaker 5: I did not like that visual. That was painful.
- 10:20Speaker 1: That gave me the ick.
- 10:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Diana's got a spooky job, right, Diana? So we've been
- 10:25Speaker 1: doing this all week. So we want to get into
- 10:27Speaker 1: you share with us, you describe your job in as
- 10:30Speaker 1: little words as possible, but make it kind of sound
- 10:32Speaker 1: mysterious and creepy. Okay, Diana? Okay.
- 10:37Speaker 11: Are you ready?
- 10:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Okay.
- 10:40Speaker 11: I'm trapped in a 40-foot box full of really needy people.
- 10:46Speaker 11: For several hours during the day, there's screaming and crying
- 10:51Speaker 11: and possible body fluids everywhere.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Great school.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Take care.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:58Speaker 11: School bus driver.
- 11:00Speaker 5: School bus driver.
- 11:05Speaker 7: Okay.
- 11:06Speaker 1: That's good. Yeah, that's good. Well, thank you for doing
- 11:08Speaker 1: what you do.
- 11:09Speaker 5: And thanks for listening to us on the bus. That's
- 11:10Speaker 5: got to be nice for the kids.
- 11:14Speaker 11: Yeah, I turn it down a lot.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Well, considering the last call, I kid why.
- 11:20Speaker 5: Chopsticks? Probably turn it down a little for the chopsticks.
- 11:23Speaker 1: All right, Diana. Drive safe. Thanks for calling in.
- 11:25Speaker 11: Hey, thank you.
- 11:28Speaker 6: Bye.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Michael, what's your spooky job?
- 11:30Speaker 7: Can you guys hear me well?
- 11:33Speaker 4: Because I'm going to whisper for this one.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Okay, go ahead.
- 11:37Speaker 4: Through my screen, I can see dead people.
- 11:40Speaker 1: You can see dead people? That's your job? Through your screen.
- 11:44Speaker 1: So what was that?
- 11:46Speaker 4: I'll say it again. Through a screen, I can see
- 11:49Speaker 4: dead people.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Through a screen, I can see dead people.
- 11:52Speaker 5: Through a screen.
- 11:53Speaker 12: Oh, he works at a cemetery for security.
- 11:57Speaker 6: Nope.
- 11:58Speaker 4: This one's not a gimme, but it's not impossible.
- 12:01Speaker 5: Through a screen, I can see dead people.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Do you play Call of Duty? Are you a Call
- 12:05Speaker 1: of Duty test market person?
- 12:08Speaker 6: That's a good one, but no.
- 12:09Speaker 12: I got it. I got it. I totally got it.
- 12:11Speaker 12: You must do life insurance. So people die and you
- 12:15Speaker 12: pay off life insurance, but you got to see it
- 12:17Speaker 12: on screen.
- 12:18Speaker 9: Okay.
- 12:18Speaker 4: Three strikes, you're out.
- 12:19Speaker 6: Do you want to know?
- 12:20Speaker 1: Yeah. What is it?
- 12:21Speaker 4: So I'm a consultant for a large electronic health record
- 12:25Speaker 4: software company. And through my computer screen at work, I'm
- 12:30Speaker 4: quite often in deceased patients' medical records.
- 12:33Speaker 5: Yeah, we wouldn't have gotten that one. So fun. I mean,
- 12:37Speaker 5: you described it. That's the whole thing.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Thanks, Michael. Thanks, dude.
- 12:40Speaker 6: All right.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Have a good day. Bye. Nate, good morning. Go ahead.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Describe your job using as little words as possible. Make
- 12:47Speaker 1: it sound creepy and spooky and mysterious. All right.
- 12:51Speaker 7: I make soup out of your skin. I peel your
- 12:55Speaker 7: liver and I squeeze the jelly from your eyes.
- 12:57Speaker 1: All right. Let me tell you something. You did a
- 12:59Speaker 1: really good job of making it creepy and mysterious and spooky.
- 13:02Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 13:02Speaker 1: You make soup from our skin?
- 13:06Speaker 7: Yep. Squeeze the jelly from your eyes and shave your liver.
- 13:11Speaker 5: Do something in.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Like the medical field with people like donors.
- 13:15Speaker 1: You're a cannibal.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Are you a butcher?
- 13:18Speaker 1: I'm Shrek.
- 13:20Speaker 3: You're an ogre?
- 13:22Speaker 7: You remember, I said this completely as a joke. I
- 13:25Speaker 7: didn't think it would actually go. But you remember in
- 13:28Speaker 7: the movie when the, in the movie Shrek, the very
- 13:31Speaker 7: first one, they come to try and attack Shrek. He
- 13:34Speaker 7: scares all the guys coming to eat him. And then
- 13:37Speaker 7: they're like, oh, no, ogres are much worse. You know,
- 13:39Speaker 7: I'll make soup from your skin.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 13:42Speaker 6: Maybe it's flopped.
- 13:43Speaker 5: I thought it was cute. You got us. When everyone
- 13:46Speaker 5: comes in with some fish forks, yes.
- 13:48Speaker 1: You're not even going to give us a real job.
- 13:51Speaker 1: An ogre's a real job. You're trying to pull one
- 13:53Speaker 1: over our eyes. Okay, thanks, Nate. He has to protect
- 13:55Speaker 1: his work. I appreciate that.
- 13:56Speaker 3: No problem.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Thanks, Nate. All right, Justice, I hope this is a
- 14:00Speaker 1: real job.
- 14:00Speaker 5: Yeah, we were being serious.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Justice, give us a real job. Describe it. Describe it,
- 14:04Speaker 1: you know, mysteriously, using as little words as possible. Go ahead.
- 14:08Speaker 6: Okay.
- 14:08Speaker 9: All right.
- 14:09Speaker 6: I hope people thrive. with parts of their intestines sticking
- 14:13Speaker 6: out of their bellies.
- 14:15Speaker 5: Gross.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Okay, say it again.
- 14:18Speaker 6: I help people thrive with parts of their intestines sticking
- 14:23Speaker 6: out of their bellies.
- 14:25Speaker 1: I'm assuming you're a surgeon.
- 14:26Speaker 5: Yeah, maybe fixes hernias? Does hernia surgeries?
- 14:31Speaker 6: No. No.
- 14:37Speaker 5: Something with an umbilical cord, maybe?
- 14:41Speaker 6: Um, no, no, nothing to do with umbilical cords. It's
- 14:44Speaker 6: like something with.
- 14:46Speaker 12: The colon, colonoscopy things, gastrointestinal person, the person that does that,
- 14:50Speaker 12: the person that does the, that does the, the, the
- 14:52Speaker 12: sleeve over their stomach so they can lose weight.
- 14:56Speaker 6: Um, well, no, are you ready?
- 14:58Speaker 1: Yeah. Ready. Okay.
- 15:01Speaker 6: I am actually the president of the United ostomy associations
- 15:06Speaker 6: of America. And, um, That's what we do. You know,
- 15:10Speaker 6: people have surgeries and they have ostomies, if you know
- 15:14Speaker 6: what that is.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I don't.
- 15:15Speaker 6: It's an opening. It's like if you have colon cancer
- 15:19Speaker 6: or bladder cancer, something like that, they might have to
- 15:23Speaker 6: remove part of your colon. And so they make a
- 15:27Speaker 6: stoma that comes out of your belly.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 15:31Speaker 6: And you glue a bag onto your belly to hold
- 15:34Speaker 6: the waste together. You maybe heard of colostomies?
- 15:38Speaker 5: Yeah, you didn't even have to make that sound creepy.
- 15:40Speaker 5: You were just telling us what you do.
- 15:41Speaker 1: You know, hey, Justice, Justice, I was watching the Matthew
- 15:45Speaker 1: Perry documentary on Netflix. It's number one on Netflix. Exactly.
- 15:49Speaker 1: And I didn't know this happened to him. He got
- 15:51Speaker 1: rushed to the emergency room. His colon ruptured, and he
- 15:54Speaker 1: was in the hospital for three months. And they had
- 15:57Speaker 1: to put a, yeah, he had to wear a colostomy bag.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I mean, it gets pretty descriptive of what happens with
- 16:01Speaker 1: the colostomy bag. But is that something that, did he
- 16:04Speaker 1: have a colostomy bag forever or can you get rid
- 16:06Speaker 1: of it? Do you know?
- 16:08Speaker 6: Well, you know, it depends on the reason why you
- 16:10Speaker 6: got it. I had prostate cancer and the radiation burned
- 16:17Speaker 6: holes in my large intestine. So they had to isolate
- 16:22Speaker 6: that for a while while it healed. And so I
- 16:25Speaker 6: had a, it was called an ileostomy, where the small
- 16:29Speaker 6: intestine was out through my belly for about four and
- 16:33Speaker 6: a half years while my large intestine healed. And then
- 16:36Speaker 6: I had it reversed. But there are other people that
- 16:39Speaker 6: have cancer and diseases, things like that, that once they
- 16:43Speaker 6: get them, they're there for life. But they're lifesavers. Nobody
- 16:48Speaker 6: wants one.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Right. No, of course.
- 16:51Speaker 6: It's, you know, and I mean, if you can imagine being,
- 16:55Speaker 6: let's say you're 16 years old or maybe 20 years
- 16:58Speaker 6: old or 75, you know, and you have one of
- 17:02Speaker 6: these and you want to date again. And it's like,
- 17:06Speaker 6: holy cow.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Right.
- 17:09Speaker 6: How do I tell this person about this? When do
- 17:11Speaker 6: I tell them?
- 17:12Speaker 1: Yeah, that's tough, man.
- 17:13Speaker 6: You know, and people, I was almost a hermit before
- 17:17Speaker 6: I found this organization. And even though I've had mine reversed,
- 17:22Speaker 6: I'm sticking around because these guys saved my life.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Right on.
- 17:26Speaker 6: And it's not really a job. I'm a volunteer.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Okay. Unless you called into the wrong segment. We wanted
- 17:33Speaker 1: you to, if you're a volunteer, call us.
