Latest / The Epstein Chronicles / Mega Edition: Ghislaine Maxwell And Her Attempt To Manipulate The Direction Of Her Trial (8/4/26)

- 0:00Speaker 1: The third week of the Galain Maxwell trial, with the
- 0:04Speaker 1: prosecution resting its case last Friday on the back of
- 0:09Speaker 1: some really powerful testimony given by Annie Farmer. Now, we
- 0:16Speaker 1: heard from four accusers overall during the first two weeks,
- 0:22Speaker 1: and the testimony given by those accusers has been very,
- 0:27Speaker 1: very powerful and very strong in my opinion, And when
- 0:32Speaker 1: you look at what they had to say, the stories
- 0:34Speaker 1: that they told, and you look at the charges that
- 0:38Speaker 1: have been brought against Maxwell, it's very obvious that these
- 0:44Speaker 1: testimonies are supporting the accusations that have been made. Now,
- 0:51Speaker 1: is it going to be enough to convince the jury?
- 0:54Speaker 1: I would hope so. I would think so, But we'll
- 0:57Speaker 1: have to see this week what the defense plans on doing. Now,
- 1:02Speaker 1: there was a point in time when there was discussion
- 1:07Speaker 1: that the defense wasn't even going to call any witnesses whatsoever,
- 1:12Speaker 1: and now it's looking like they plan on calling thirty
- 1:16Speaker 1: five defense witnesses. So Maxwell's defense gets under way starting Thursday,
- 1:24Speaker 1: and according to her lawyers, they expect thirty five witnesses.
- 1:30Speaker 1: So Thursday, Friday, both of those days, you could almost
- 1:35Speaker 1: guarantee that there's going to be witnesses on the stand.
- 1:38Speaker 1: But I would think that it's going to bleed into
- 1:41Speaker 1: the next week as well, considering we're talking about thirty
- 1:45Speaker 1: five people that have to come up and give their testimony.
- 1:50Speaker 1: So it's going to be pretty interesting to see how
- 1:52Speaker 1: quickly these witnesses are moved through as far as the
- 1:58Speaker 1: defense goes. Now, it could end up being a drawn
- 2:03Speaker 1: out process, right Who knows how long it's going to
- 2:06Speaker 1: take for each one of these witnesses on the stand,
- 2:09Speaker 1: And in fact, we don't even know who these witnesses are,
- 2:13Speaker 1: so it's going to be interesting to see who they
- 2:16Speaker 1: trot out to try and drum up some support for
- 2:20Speaker 1: Glen Maxwell's side of the story. And honestly, I don't
- 2:25Speaker 1: know who the hell is going to come out as
- 2:28Speaker 1: a character witness for Glen Maxwell. But there are reports
- 2:32Speaker 1: that several people are going to give testimony but anonymously
- 2:40Speaker 1: in fear that their lives would be ruined for supporting
- 2:43Speaker 1: Gleanne Maxwell. So that's what's on the agenda as far
- 2:48Speaker 1: as the defense and what they're going to cook up.
- 2:52Speaker 1: As far as with these witnesses, well, that's anyone's guess. Now.
- 2:57Speaker 1: One thing we have learned from the defense is that
- 3:01Speaker 1: they are not afraid to stray into scumbag waters. Now,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I get it. It's their job, right, They got to
- 3:11Speaker 1: do whatever they possibly can to try and get their
- 3:14Speaker 1: scumbag client off. I understand that's how it works. I
- 3:17Speaker 1: also understand that it's scumbaggery. I also understand that it's gross.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Now that being said, it's up to the prosecution to
- 3:29Speaker 1: stamp that shit out. It's up to the prosecution to
- 3:32Speaker 1: make sure that they point out that it's scumbaggery, that
- 3:37Speaker 1: it's gross, and then it's up for the jury to
- 3:41Speaker 1: decide what they think. Now, so far, the defense of
- 3:46Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell, they haven't brought any receipts to the table.
- 3:50Speaker 1: All they They've hinged their whole entire bet on the
- 3:54Speaker 1: fact that they can destroy the credibility of these accusers.
- 3:59Speaker 1: And while they they've done the best job that they
- 4:02Speaker 1: can to destroy the credibility of these accusers, I keep
- 4:06Speaker 1: referring back to the fact that these people weren't drug
- 4:09Speaker 1: addicts before they met Maxwell and Epstein. They were just kids.
- 4:15Speaker 1: They became drug addicts to deal with the trauma that
- 4:17Speaker 1: was put upon them by Maxwell and Epstein. So when
- 4:21Speaker 1: they go and attack these accusers credibility and talk about
- 4:26Speaker 1: the drug issues and stuff like that. I just shake
- 4:29Speaker 1: my head. I know if I was sitting in a
- 4:30Speaker 1: jerry box, I would be thinking, well, wait a minute,
- 4:33Speaker 1: there were kids when you abuse them, or when they
- 4:36Speaker 1: first came in contact with you, and now all of
- 4:39Speaker 1: a sudden, after those events, they have these drug problems.
- 4:44Speaker 1: How about causation and effect? And as a juror, I
- 4:49Speaker 1: know for sure that I'd be sitting there thinking that
- 4:51Speaker 1: to myself, like, wait a minute, here, hold on, So
- 4:53Speaker 1: you're going to attack the credibility of these people who
- 4:55Speaker 1: are accusing you. Yet they were children thirteen, fourteen, fifteen
- 5:00Speaker 1: years old when they were in your clutches, and then
- 5:03Speaker 1: they develop drug issues and you hammer at home on
- 5:06Speaker 1: them again about the drug issue that quite possibly was
- 5:11Speaker 1: caused by the trauma inflicted upon them by your client. Yeah,
- 5:15Speaker 1: that's a winning strategy. So I don't really know what
- 5:22Speaker 1: else they could possibly have up their sleeve, because you
- 5:25Speaker 1: would think that if they had real, hard solid evidence,
- 5:28Speaker 1: we would have heard or seen something about it by now.
- 5:33Speaker 1: All they really have, though, is to try and crush
- 5:36Speaker 1: the credibility of these accusers, And as much as they've
- 5:41Speaker 1: tried to do that, as hard as they have went,
- 5:45Speaker 1: I don't think they've done a good enough job as
- 5:47Speaker 1: far as the defense goes to sway a juror or
- 5:51Speaker 1: jurors to their side of the story. I think they're
- 5:54Speaker 1: going to have to do that with evidence, and their
- 5:58Speaker 1: chance is going to be this week, thirty five defense witnesses.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Let's see what they bring to the table. But you
- 6:05Speaker 1: better bring receipts. We don't want any nonsense where I'm
- 6:09Speaker 1: not interested in more demeaning of people's character. Let's see
- 6:13Speaker 1: the evidence. You got witnesses, you got DNA evidence. What
- 6:17Speaker 1: do you guys have that proves to us that gland
- 6:20Speaker 1: Maxwell is innocent of these charges? Because so far all
- 6:24Speaker 1: we have is powerful testimony from accusers and a lot
- 6:28Speaker 1: of maybe sos from the defense. So that might work
- 6:34Speaker 1: if you're looking to gaslight some people, but usually that
- 6:39Speaker 1: kind of thing falls flat in the court of law.
- 6:43Speaker 1: So I'm not sure what the defense is thinking here,
- 6:49Speaker 1: and I'm certainly not sure what they have planned for
- 6:51Speaker 1: this week, but one thing you can be certain of,
- 6:55Speaker 1: they definitely have something up their sleeve. What it's going
- 6:58Speaker 1: to be, if it's going to be impactful, I don't know.
- 7:00Speaker 1: But when you're dealing with people like Christian Everdell and
- 7:03Speaker 1: Bobby Sternham and Laura Meninger and Puglicia and the rest
- 7:09Speaker 1: of them. You know that they're going to have at
- 7:11Speaker 1: least one more scumbaggery trick up their sleeve come this week. Now,
- 7:19Speaker 1: the thirty five witnesses. I found that to be pretty interesting,
- 7:23Speaker 1: considering the fact that, like I said earlier, we were
- 7:27Speaker 1: being told that they might not bring any witnesses up.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Now the question has to be asked, is Maxwell herself
- 7:33Speaker 1: going to take the stand? You want to talk about fireworks? Now,
- 7:39Speaker 1: I highly doubt that they're going to have Maxwell take
- 7:41Speaker 1: the stand, but boy, would that be something. My guess
- 7:46Speaker 1: is that she would end up looking like Prince Andrew
- 7:48Speaker 1: on that stand when Prince Andrew was doing the interview
- 7:52Speaker 1: with Emily Maitlis where he got absolutely rocked by her. Now,
- 7:56Speaker 1: imagine a real interrogator asking those questions, somebody who does
- 8:01Speaker 1: it for a living. So I don't know if the
- 8:06Speaker 1: defense is going to test those waters. And my opinion is,
- 8:11Speaker 1: and remember just my opinion, if we do see Glene
- 8:14Speaker 1: Maxwell on the stand, it's a hail mary attempt by
- 8:17Speaker 1: the defense to try and get their client off the hook. Here,
- 8:22Speaker 1: we have an article this morning that goes into this
- 8:24Speaker 1: a little bit. It's from Bloomberg Quint and it talks
- 8:29Speaker 1: about Maxwell's plans for the week and how she plans
- 8:34Speaker 1: to call thirty five defense witnesses. This is an article
- 8:38Speaker 1: that was authored by Tina Davis, and we're going to
- 8:41Speaker 1: dive into it real quick and take a quick look
- 8:44Speaker 1: at what she has to say is coming up for
- 8:47Speaker 1: the week ahead. Glenn Maxwell's defense team has listed thirty
- 8:53Speaker 1: five witnesses that they plan to call in her defense,
- 8:56Speaker 1: according to a court filing. The identities of the witnesses
- 9:00Speaker 1: is not public, but prosecutors revealed the number in a
- 9:04Speaker 1: letter to the judge on Sunday. So again, thirty five
- 9:10Speaker 1: defense witnesses. Thirty five. I don't know how they think
- 9:17Speaker 1: that that's going to happen in two days. But again
- 9:19Speaker 1: I'm not some kind of court reporter or anything like that.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Maybe this is the usual process to roll through these
- 9:25Speaker 1: witnesses quick as hell. But if they're thirty five witnesses
- 9:30Speaker 1: and they want to get done by say Friday, like
- 9:32Speaker 1: they talked about, it's kind of what fifteen witnesses of
- 9:35Speaker 1: a day roughly seventeen witnesses a day, so that's a lot.
- 9:39Speaker 1: So I don't know. Maybe this bleeds over into the
- 9:43Speaker 1: next week right as the defense continues to formulate their strategy,
- 9:49Speaker 1: it might end up being a little bit longer. Three
- 9:54Speaker 1: of the defense witnesses have asked to testify under their
- 9:58Speaker 1: first names or a pseudonym, but the prosecutors oppose this.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Maxwell's lawyer, Bobby Sternham said in a filing late Sunday.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Maxwell's four accusers were allowed to testify against her over
- 10:10Speaker 1: the first two weeks of the trial with pseudonyms or
- 10:13Speaker 1: using only their first names, So I think that it
- 10:17Speaker 1: would be fair right to let people anonymously come here
- 10:22Speaker 1: and testify. If that's something that the court usually does,
- 10:25Speaker 1: and they're not making any special request favors for Maxwell's team,
- 10:30Speaker 1: then I don't see a problem with that, I guess.
- 10:33Speaker 1: I mean again, look, if there's procedure that's already on
- 10:36Speaker 1: the books for this sort of thing to happen, then
- 10:39Speaker 1: that's something that any defendant should have access to, right.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I'm not in the business of vigilante justice or people
- 10:48Speaker 1: not having access to all of their rights. I think
- 10:54Speaker 1: that all of us, even the most monstrous amongst us
- 10:57Speaker 1: deserve those sorts of rights if we get into trouble.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I think that it shows what sort of society we
- 11:03Speaker 1: live in when we treat the most disgusting amongst us
- 11:08Speaker 1: as you know, human beings for the most part as
- 11:11Speaker 1: far as their punishment. But I'm not one of these
- 11:17Speaker 1: people who is pitchforks and torches at somebody's house for
- 11:22Speaker 1: vigilante justice type shit. So if this is something that
- 11:25Speaker 1: is done usually for witnesses at a trial as far
- 11:29Speaker 1: as the defense goes when it's a touchy subject, then fine,
- 11:33Speaker 1: if they can work it out and the judge okays
- 11:35Speaker 1: it and the prosecution school with it, whatever, Because really,
- 11:40Speaker 1: at the end of the day, it's going to come
- 11:43Speaker 1: down to the testimony, right, and what are these people?
- 11:47Speaker 1: What could you possibly say to bolster Glehn Maxwell as
- 11:52Speaker 1: a human being? Oh well, we were at the cavier
- 11:55Speaker 1: of the Caviare party together and you know, she gave
- 11:59Speaker 1: me some extra cavit are. I don't There's really nothing
- 12:02Speaker 1: you're gonna be able to say about this lady that's
- 12:04Speaker 1: going to bolster her image. So the court's ruling on
- 12:10Speaker 1: this issue may impact the willingness of these witnesses to testify,
- 12:14Speaker 1: thereby compromising mix Miss Maxwell's right to present her defense
- 12:18Speaker 1: and may affect the witness order. Sternham wrote to the judge. Now, also,
- 12:23Speaker 1: what this could do is set it up for some
- 12:24Speaker 1: kind of retrial later on or basis for appeal. So
- 12:29Speaker 1: that's another reason why I think they should just go
- 12:32Speaker 1: ahead and let these people testify, even if it's uh anonymously,
- 12:37Speaker 1: these three people, because I don't want the I don't
- 12:40Speaker 1: want Maxwell to have any wiggle room when all of
- 12:42Speaker 1: this is said and done about how it wasn't done correctly,
- 12:46Speaker 1: or people were you know, cutting corners and the prosecution
- 12:50Speaker 1: didn't file this piece of paperwork, or we didn't get
- 12:53Speaker 1: to hear from this witness. I don't want to hear
- 12:55Speaker 1: any of that. I want this lady to go to
- 12:58Speaker 1: prison and I want to that to be the end
- 13:01Speaker 1: of her right. None of this is drawn out nonsense,
- 13:04Speaker 1: how the court didn't do things correctly and end up
- 13:07Speaker 1: with like a bill Cosby cit prosecutors had complained to
- 13:10Speaker 1: the judge that the defense didn't tell them the order
- 13:13Speaker 1: in which the witnesses will be called. Sternham wrote that
- 13:16Speaker 1: the defense has provided a tentative order, but that it
- 13:19Speaker 1: is still trying to make travel arrangements for defense witnesses,
- 13:22Speaker 1: many of whom are coming from locations out of the
- 13:25Speaker 1: district and abroad. So I guess Glanne Maxwell has a
- 13:31Speaker 1: train full of people that are showing up from abroad
- 13:33Speaker 1: and outside of the district to the tune of thirty
- 13:36Speaker 1: five witnesses. Now, I'm very interested to see this witness list.
- 13:41Speaker 1: I'm very very interested to see who they have dug
- 13:45Speaker 1: up to come out and play witness for Gallainne Maxwell,
- 13:49Speaker 1: because boy seems like everybody's running from the hills when
- 13:54Speaker 1: it comes to Glane Maxwell and their relationship with her previously,
- 13:59Speaker 1: and it doesn't seem to be any different now, right.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Have you heard anybody coming out in the press to
- 14:05Speaker 1: her defense? Not really not for the most part. When
- 14:09Speaker 1: she was arrested, you had like a Heraldo Riviera talking
- 14:13Speaker 1: about how she should be bailed out, a couple of
- 14:16Speaker 1: other studentods, But for the most part, nobody has been
- 14:21Speaker 1: here championing Glenn Maxwell's cause. So it's interesting to me
- 14:27Speaker 1: that they're going to have thirty five witnesses. Now, how
- 14:30Speaker 1: many of those witnesses are going to be paid for professionals.
- 14:33Speaker 1: That's another question that's on my mind. I'm guessing a
- 14:36Speaker 1: lot of them, or at least a good number of them,
- 14:39Speaker 1: are going to be professionals in certain areas forensics, memory experts,
- 14:45Speaker 1: like we know they're talking about calling, you know, a
- 14:49Speaker 1: bunch of different things in that vein as well as
- 14:53Speaker 1: far as testimony. So they're going to get underway on
- 14:58Speaker 1: Thursday and get this whole entire thing kicked off from
- 15:01Speaker 1: the defense perspective, and it's going to be very, very
- 15:04Speaker 1: interesting to see what they come up with. Also, before
- 15:08Speaker 1: we go today, I wanted to touch on another article
- 15:12Speaker 1: from Reuters and this article was authored by Luke Cohen
- 15:17Speaker 1: and it talks about how the accusers place GALLAINN. Maxwell
- 15:22Speaker 1: at the center of Epstein's abuse and it's definitely something
- 15:25Speaker 1: we've touched on here as well. The picture that they
- 15:27Speaker 1: have painted during the past two weeks by the survivors,
- 15:31Speaker 1: by the accusers giving the testimony has been damning. It
- 15:35Speaker 1: has placed Glenn Maxwell at the center of the nexus.
- 15:38Speaker 1: It has made Gallaine Maxwell not just a bystander or
- 15:42Speaker 1: somebody who's along for the ride. It's put her directly
- 15:45Speaker 1: in a leadership role where according to these abusers, she's
- 15:49Speaker 1: also engaged in the abuse herself, as well as the
- 15:53Speaker 1: grooming and as well as the whole entire setting up
- 15:58Speaker 1: the abuse. So I think that the testimony from the
- 16:03Speaker 1: accusers has been absolutely strong and very damning for Gallainne Maxwell,
- 16:09Speaker 1: and it has been certainly the foundationally the building blocks
- 16:16Speaker 1: have been set that Maxwell was there, She paid out money,
- 16:19Speaker 1: she was involved, making phone calls, doing introductions, all of it.
- 16:26Speaker 1: So when it comes to putting Glane Maxwell at the
- 16:30Speaker 1: quote unquote scene of the crime, she seems to be
- 16:33Speaker 1: there quite a bit when all of this abuse takes place.
- 16:38Speaker 1: So let's take a look at this article from Reuter's
- 16:40Speaker 1: Real Quick and let's see what they have to say.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Two weeks of emotional explicit testimony at Glane Maxwell's sex
- 16:47Speaker 1: abuse trial from four women who said the British socialite
- 16:52Speaker 1: co conspirator, general, all around, scuzbag, bipedal serpent, you mean,
- 16:56Speaker 1: groomed them as teenagers for deceased financier pedophile Jeffrey Epstein
- 17:01Speaker 1: could largely undercut the defense's argument that prosecutors are using
- 17:05Speaker 1: Maxwell as a scapegoat. Legal experts said, yeah, pretty much
- 17:10Speaker 1: what I said too. Look, you don't need to be
- 17:12Speaker 1: a legal expert to understand that Maxwell's at the scene
- 17:16Speaker 1: of the crime here over and over and over again.
- 17:19Speaker 1: You don't have to be a legal expert here to
- 17:21Speaker 1: understand that the stories that these girls are telling are heartbreaking,
- 17:26Speaker 1: and all of them involve Glene Maxwell and some form
- 17:30Speaker 1: of abuse or grooming. The women who say they met
- 17:36Speaker 1: Maxwell at different times in places as far flung as Florida,
- 17:39Speaker 1: New Mexico, and London all portrayed her es central to
- 17:43Speaker 1: the sexual encounters they had with Epstein, And there's no
- 17:47Speaker 1: doubt about it. And remember, this is just a small
- 17:50Speaker 1: handful of people who have accused Maxwell and Epstein of
- 17:53Speaker 1: this behavior, a very small scope. So when you think
- 17:58Speaker 1: about all of the whole, entire, overall operation that they
- 18:03Speaker 1: were running, it is obscene obscene that it was able
- 18:10Speaker 1: to a go on for as long as it did,
- 18:12Speaker 1: and b that so many people are still shielded by
- 18:16Speaker 1: the NPA for the crimes that they obviously committed. Maxwell's
- 18:22Speaker 1: attorneys did rattle three of the four accusers during during
- 18:26Speaker 1: tough cross examination, and scored two favorable rulings from Judge
- 18:30Speaker 1: Alison Nathan, who said that two of the four women
- 18:33Speaker 1: prosecutors called victims were old enough to consent at the
- 18:37Speaker 1: time of the alleged encounters. But as the defense prepares
- 18:41Speaker 1: to mount its case, persuading jurors that Maxwell was not
- 18:44Speaker 1: involved will be difficult. Some experts said one hundred percent.
- 18:49Speaker 1: And let's remember here, Okay, I don't care if you're
- 18:52Speaker 1: fourteen or forty five. If you're being trafficked for sexual purposes,
- 18:58Speaker 1: that's not okay. The fact that she was sixteen in
- 19:04Speaker 1: New Mexico is absurd to me that we would sit
- 19:09Speaker 1: here and act like well, legal age of consent. There
- 19:12Speaker 1: was no consent there. It wasn't a nineteen year old
- 19:15Speaker 1: guy with a sixteen year old girlfriend. We're talking about
- 19:18Speaker 1: two super powerful people who brought Annie over state lines
- 19:23Speaker 1: to New Mexico with the explicit purpose in mind of
- 19:26Speaker 1: abusing her because they knew the age of consent in
- 19:29Speaker 1: Mexico was sixteen. Now, chew on that for a minute.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Tell me it doesn't make you want to vomit, because
- 19:38Speaker 1: that's exactly what they did. Go back to the episode
- 19:42Speaker 1: I uploaded of Jeffrey Epstein chose New Mexico for a reason,
- 19:47Speaker 1: and it's all right there. The government has done a
- 19:52Speaker 1: good job keeping the jerry focused on Maxwell, said Sarah Chrisoff,
- 19:56Speaker 1: a partner at law firm Dave Pitney and former federal
- 19:59Speaker 1: process The government will argue that the fact that each
- 20:03Speaker 1: victim has a different story and didn't exaggerate Maxwell's role
- 20:06Speaker 1: in that story demonstrates the credibility of those accounts. Prosecutors
- 20:11Speaker 1: who say Maxwell recruited and groomed four teenage girls for
- 20:15Speaker 1: Epstein from nineteen ninety four to two thousand and four
- 20:18Speaker 1: rested their case on Friday in Manhattan Federal Court. And look,
- 20:24Speaker 1: it was again powerful testimony. The article goes on to say,
- 20:31Speaker 1: when you skip down a little bit, the remarkable, the
- 20:34Speaker 1: remarkably similar accounts of the accusers could help undermine that argument,
- 20:38Speaker 1: experts said. And they're talking about her being a convenient
- 20:43Speaker 1: stand in for Epstein. And again, these girls didn't know
- 20:46Speaker 1: each other, they didn't all show up together and cancoct
- 20:49Speaker 1: this story. So you're telling me all of these girls
- 20:52Speaker 1: they're all connected with telekinesis and they figured out the
- 20:55Speaker 1: story like that. Here's an idea, here's something to chew
- 20:59Speaker 1: on from Maxwell and her team. How about this, how
- 21:02Speaker 1: about it's all true? How about all of this really happened,
- 21:05Speaker 1: and Glen Maxwell was a central part to all of it.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Massages in Maxwell's central role in them came up repeatedly
- 21:15Speaker 1: during the women's testimony. Now we all know that massages
- 21:19Speaker 1: for Jeffrey Epstein and his crew was shorthand for sex.
- 21:23Speaker 1: That's what they call them massages. Oh, Jeffrey needs to
- 21:26Speaker 1: have three massages a day. Jane, who said she was
- 21:33Speaker 1: fourteen in nineteen ninety four when Epstein first abused her,
- 21:36Speaker 1: testified that Maxwell would sometimes participate when massages later escalated
- 21:41Speaker 1: into sexual encounters. Prosecutors said the women's testimony provided them
- 21:46Speaker 1: with details which are crucial to prove charges that Maxwell
- 21:49Speaker 1: enticed the girls to travel across state lines and in
- 21:52Speaker 1: some cases paid them for sexual activity. And here's where
- 21:56Speaker 1: I don't get the fact that there's not the man
- 21:58Speaker 1: Ax slapped on her. Isn't she being smashed with the
- 22:01Speaker 1: man Act. That's what it was created for for state lines,
- 22:06Speaker 1: for sex trafficking over state lines, But yet she's not
- 22:10Speaker 1: blasted with it. It's absurd, just like her not being
- 22:14Speaker 1: it with RICO is absurd. So the article just goes
- 22:19Speaker 1: on to talk a little bit more about some of
- 22:22Speaker 1: the things that occurred over the last couple of weeks,
- 22:25Speaker 1: and we're not going to rehash all of that. I
- 22:27Speaker 1: just wanted to touch on a few points in this
- 22:29Speaker 1: article and it's going to be interesting to see where
- 22:33Speaker 1: the defense goes, folks. And as we sit here on
- 22:37Speaker 1: Monday waiting for Thursday to roll around, one thing's certainly
- 22:41Speaker 1: obvious that the defense is going to actually have to
- 22:46Speaker 1: amount some sort of tangible defense. That just attacking the
- 22:51Speaker 1: credibility of these accusers is not going to be enough.
- 22:56Speaker 1: So now the question remains, what exactly does the defense
- 23:02Speaker 1: have left up its sleeve. If you'd like to contact me,
- 23:06Speaker 1: you can do that at Bobby Capucci at ProtonMail dot com.
- 23:10Speaker 1: That's bo bbuy c ap you Ceci at ProtonMail dot com.

- 23:20Speaker 1: underscore cap U c CI. The links that we discussed
- 23:24Speaker 1: can be found in the description box one and welcome
- 23:27Speaker 1: back to the Epstein Chronicles. Today marks the seventeenth day
- 23:32Speaker 1: of the Glaine Maxwell trial, and yesterday was the first
- 23:36Speaker 1: day that her defense took center stage. We heard from
- 23:40Speaker 1: several witnesses yesterday, but I think the most impactful witness,
- 23:46Speaker 1: or should I say cross examination of a witness happened
- 23:49Speaker 1: when doctor Loftus was on the stand. Now we know
- 23:54Speaker 1: that Ghleane Maxwell on her team have had a specific
- 23:57Speaker 1: strategy this whole entire time, and that strategy has been
- 24:02Speaker 1: to go after the memory of the witnesses as well
- 24:06Speaker 1: as go after their credibility as a whole. And what
- 24:09Speaker 1: they were hoping was that doctor Loftis would further those ambitions.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Yesterday she did not. In fact, it seemed to me
- 24:19Speaker 1: that the prosecution had its best day, at least procedurally,
- 24:23Speaker 1: since this whole entire thing started. They had a couple
- 24:26Speaker 1: of nice one liners. A couple of times they got
- 24:29Speaker 1: the room to laugh, like when they were doing the
- 24:33Speaker 1: cross examination of Kimberly and when asked if she had
- 24:38Speaker 1: ever been to Palm Beach, she says no, and then
- 24:41Speaker 1: they just you know, they end their cross there. That
- 24:44Speaker 1: elicited some chuckles from the courtroom. And besides that, I
- 24:49Speaker 1: think that they did a fantastic job punching holes in
- 24:54Speaker 1: doctor loftis Her testimony that was supposed to be strong
- 24:59Speaker 1: testimony for the defense. Glenn Maxwell's team. They were hoping
- 25:04Speaker 1: that doctor Loftis would show out and make it seem
- 25:08Speaker 1: like all of the stuff they have been talking about
- 25:11Speaker 1: false memory and the rest of it is actually legit.
- 25:16Speaker 1: But in reality, what happened was they kind of got
- 25:20Speaker 1: in their own way. Doctor Loftis seemed to be more
- 25:26Speaker 1: useful to the prosecution yesterday on the stand than she
- 25:30Speaker 1: was for the defense, and coming into this, I kind
- 25:33Speaker 1: of thought the same thing was going to occur. I mean, look,
- 25:36Speaker 1: this is somebody, this lady, she's a hired gun. She
- 25:40Speaker 1: does this for profit, and there is no scumbag scummy
- 25:45Speaker 1: enough for her to avoid. And I get it right, Look,
- 25:50Speaker 1: if you have the money and you're fighting for your
- 25:52Speaker 1: life at a trial, I would employ all the specialists
- 25:55Speaker 1: that I could afford as well, but maybe I would
- 25:58Speaker 1: find some specialists that aren't involved in people losing. You know,
- 26:03Speaker 1: there got to be a couple out there, right. But
- 26:06Speaker 1: what it really comes down to, and I know this
- 26:08Speaker 1: is going to be groundbreaking what I'm about to say,
- 26:11Speaker 1: but here's an idea. Don't traffic children, don't abuse children,
- 26:18Speaker 1: don't hurt other people, and don't commit crimes, and you
- 26:21Speaker 1: won't have to worry about any of this shit. But
- 26:26Speaker 1: maxwell her and her friends, you know, they were able
- 26:28Speaker 1: to get away with it for so long that it
- 26:30Speaker 1: was normalized to them. So when they get caught and
- 26:35Speaker 1: they find out they have no friends left to protect them, well,
- 26:39Speaker 1: it's a big shock to the system. Meanwhile, the rest
- 26:42Speaker 1: of us are sitting around looking at each other, like,
- 26:45Speaker 1: how weren't these people arrested when Maria told the FBI
- 26:50Speaker 1: about them in ninety six? How aren't they arrested? Insert
- 26:55Speaker 1: a million times here. But now that Maxwell is finally
- 27:03Speaker 1: facing a jury of her peers, it's not looking good
- 27:07Speaker 1: in my opinion for now. Obviously, they still have today
- 27:10Speaker 1: to go and remember they said they had a witness
- 27:13Speaker 1: list of thirty five people, So who knows what's coming
- 27:17Speaker 1: down the old shoot here, But they would have to
- 27:22Speaker 1: have something earth shaking, like ground rattling, earth shaking, existential
- 27:29Speaker 1: world elimination event. Because what has been provided so far
- 27:36Speaker 1: as testimony in defense of Glenn Maxwell, I haven't seen
- 27:40Speaker 1: anything that would make the testimony of what those survivors
- 27:45Speaker 1: had to say look any less impactful or make me
- 27:50Speaker 1: question myself saying, ah, man, you know, maybe none of that.
- 27:56Speaker 1: There has been no material witnesses, just a bunch of
- 28:01Speaker 1: what ifs, right, That's all that Maxwell's defense has provided
- 28:06Speaker 1: us what ifs, well, what if the memory is faulty,
- 28:09Speaker 1: what if this? What if that? Meanwhile, the survivors are
- 28:13Speaker 1: sitting there across the table from Glenn Maxwell and saying,
- 28:17Speaker 1: this is what you did to me. So I have
- 28:22Speaker 1: found that to be way, way, way more impactful than
- 28:25Speaker 1: the honestly nonsensical witness list that was brought forward yesterday.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Now there might be something more to it, right, some
- 28:34Speaker 1: of the other witnesses that they brought up yesterday, the
- 28:37Speaker 1: guy from the supply company, and they might be setting
- 28:41Speaker 1: all of that up for some sort of closing that
- 28:45Speaker 1: they have prepared, But as of now, it just doesn't
- 28:49Speaker 1: really make all that much sense their witness lists so far.
- 28:54Speaker 1: If you're going to try and you know, prove that
- 28:58Speaker 1: your client is innocent, shouldn't you have a couple of
- 29:01Speaker 1: actual character witnesses and people who are like, there's no
- 29:04Speaker 1: way this happened. I was there at the time. But really,
- 29:08Speaker 1: what you have when it comes down to it, is
- 29:11Speaker 1: for women who were girls or young ladies when they
- 29:16Speaker 1: were in the clutches of Maxwell and Epstein, who are
- 29:19Speaker 1: now saying, look, this is what happened to us, This
- 29:23Speaker 1: is what she did, And to me, that is way
- 29:26Speaker 1: more powerful than some quote unquote expert coming up there
- 29:31Speaker 1: and telling me some what ifs or hypotheticals or about studies.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I don't need to see any studies, to be honest
- 29:38Speaker 1: with you. I've read what happened here, i have seen
- 29:42Speaker 1: the evidence. I have heard what the police department in
- 29:45Speaker 1: Palm Beach has had to say about this from the
- 29:48Speaker 1: very beginning. So I don't need a mis Looftis to
- 29:53Speaker 1: tell me about false memories. And I think that the
- 29:58Speaker 1: jerry is going to see it that way as well.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Whereas the jury just got done listening to the testimony
- 30:04Speaker 1: from the survivors, which was absolutely horrible and gut wrenching
- 30:11Speaker 1: to listen to, and then that anchored by the testimony
- 30:15Speaker 1: that Annie gave, you would think that the defense is
- 30:19Speaker 1: gonna have to come correct because what the jury has
- 30:22Speaker 1: seen so far, as far as a picture being painted,
- 30:27Speaker 1: is that Glenn Maxwell was at the nexus of all
- 30:30Speaker 1: of this. She had her dirty little fingers on the controls,
- 30:35Speaker 1: and she was right there with Jeffrey Epstein for the
- 30:37Speaker 1: whole entire thing. And as far as the defenses go,
- 30:43Speaker 1: so far, we haven't seen anything from them that would
- 30:47Speaker 1: make me or I would think the jury take a
- 30:50Speaker 1: step back and say, oh, maybe we've looked at this
- 30:53Speaker 1: the wrong way. Maybe we've missed something throughout this whole
- 30:56Speaker 1: entire thing. And this has been the key piece of
- 30:58Speaker 1: evidence that proves that well, I had nothing to do
- 31:01Speaker 1: with this. I've been waiting for that piece of evidence for, oh,
- 31:05Speaker 1: I don't know, three years now, and I certainly haven't
- 31:08Speaker 1: seen it yet. So I really wonder what the plan's
- 31:13Speaker 1: going to be for the defense today. And if they
- 31:18Speaker 1: don't have something monumental, I honestly don't see how Maxwell's
- 31:23Speaker 1: going to get off here. The mountain of evidence is
- 31:27Speaker 1: that high, folks. And remember we're only talking about this
- 31:30Speaker 1: small scope. If this was the actual full scope of
- 31:33Speaker 1: what went on, forget it, absolutely forget it. This would
- 31:37Speaker 1: be the trial of trials with all of the people
- 31:41Speaker 1: that would be wrapped up in it, even just on
- 31:43Speaker 1: the fringes, right. And I think a lot of people
- 31:46Speaker 1: were hoping that that's what this was going to be,
- 31:50Speaker 1: and I've tried to tamper down those expectations because I
- 31:54Speaker 1: knew exactly what we were getting into here. This was
- 31:58Speaker 1: never going to be the full month, the full exposure
- 32:01Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein and his cohorts. That was never going
- 32:06Speaker 1: to occur unless there was a Rico case. Now, the
- 32:10Speaker 1: only other way that this can happen, where we can
- 32:12Speaker 1: really get to the bottom of all of this, is
- 32:14Speaker 1: if that non prosecution agreement is thrown out by one
- 32:17Speaker 1: of the higher courts, which would have to be the
- 32:20Speaker 1: Supreme Court at this point. Now, if that happens and
- 32:23Speaker 1: all of those protections go away, then it will be
- 32:27Speaker 1: a brand new day, if you will, in the world
- 32:32Speaker 1: of bringing down the scumbags hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein.
- 32:36Speaker 1: But that non prosecution agreement, it was put in place
- 32:39Speaker 1: for a reason. They knew what they were doing, and
- 32:41Speaker 1: they were looking to provide themselves protection in the future
- 32:45Speaker 1: as well. And here we are all these years later
- 32:50Speaker 1: and that non prosecution agreement still looming large. When they
- 32:55Speaker 1: were going through the process to try and get that
- 32:59Speaker 1: thing away with it was I was very hopeful that
- 33:03Speaker 1: they'd be able to do that, but unfortunately the panel
- 33:09Speaker 1: ruled seven to four not to do it. What I'm
- 33:13Speaker 1: gonna do later is I'm gonna post an episode about
- 33:16Speaker 1: that that whole entire situation with the NPA and what occurred,
- 33:21Speaker 1: because it's a big deal and it's a big part
- 33:23Speaker 1: of the overall story. Right. But when we moved back
- 33:29Speaker 1: to what we saw yesterday and what we're expecting to
- 33:33Speaker 1: see today, I would hope that the prosecution keeps up
- 33:38Speaker 1: their good work that they really dove into yesterday with
- 33:43Speaker 1: the procedure anyway, it was nice to see them handle
- 33:47Speaker 1: business from their end, short and sweet. They didn't get
- 33:52Speaker 1: into any kind of like long drawn out nonsensical bs
- 33:55Speaker 1: and they just hammered home their points and getting doctor
- 33:59Speaker 1: Loftis to agree about the memory stuff at the end.
- 34:02Speaker 1: That was a master's stroke, very very good work. And
- 34:07Speaker 1: just about everybody that I've talked to who is hip
- 34:10Speaker 1: to how these things happen in the courtroom has said
- 34:13Speaker 1: the same thing about what the prosecution did yesterday and
- 34:16Speaker 1: how well things went for the prosecution. So I hope
- 34:21Speaker 1: that we can see some of that today as well.
- 34:23Speaker 1: I hope that carries over. But before we get there,
- 34:26Speaker 1: let's take a look at some of the headlines from
- 34:29Speaker 1: overnight that have to do with what we should see today. Now.
- 34:35Speaker 1: One of the first headlines we're going to look at
- 34:37Speaker 1: is from ABC News, and it's about how the judge,
- 34:43Speaker 1: Judge Nathan, She denied the request for anonymity for the
- 34:48Speaker 1: witnesses for Maxwell. Let's jump in here and see what's what.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Defense attorneys for Glenn Maxwell, the longtime associate of serial
- 34:57Speaker 1: sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, began to present their case on
- 35:00Speaker 1: Thursday after a judge denied their request to allow three
- 35:03Speaker 1: of their anticipated witnesses to testify under a pseudonym or
- 35:08Speaker 1: using only their first names. Now, when this was all
- 35:12Speaker 1: first talked about, I said, hey, whatever, who cares. If
- 35:15Speaker 1: that's the way the court rolls, then fine. You know, look,
- 35:18Speaker 1: I don't want to reinvent the wheel here, right, and
- 35:20Speaker 1: I don't want Glenn Maxwell having any kind of out
- 35:23Speaker 1: because of procedurals. But it is a very odd request
- 35:27Speaker 1: when you talk to people who are in the know here,
- 35:29Speaker 1: and I'm certainly not a court reporter, folks, I'm not
- 35:32Speaker 1: even a journalist, But when you speak to people who
- 35:36Speaker 1: follow this thing, this is this kind of thing. I mean,
- 35:38Speaker 1: this is a very odd request, I guess, and not
- 35:41Speaker 1: something that is granted very often by the court. So
- 35:45Speaker 1: you could see why Judge Nathan wouldn't allow it. This
- 35:49Speaker 1: article goes on to say in her decision, Judge Allison
- 35:52Speaker 1: Nathan of the US District Court for the Southern District
- 35:55Speaker 1: of New York wrote that the court, after significant independent research,
- 36:00Speaker 1: could not identify a single case in which a court
- 36:03Speaker 1: has previously granted the use of pseudonyms to defense witnesses,
- 36:07Speaker 1: leading her to believe that the request was unprecedented. So
- 36:12Speaker 1: there you have it, right, if it's never happened before,
- 36:14Speaker 1: certainly not bending any rules for Glenn Maxwell. Why would
- 36:18Speaker 1: anyone want to do that. The rules have been bent
- 36:21Speaker 1: for her for way too long anyway. So that's why
- 36:24Speaker 1: Judge Nathan denied that request. And that's why we're not
- 36:28Speaker 1: going to see any of any of these people come
- 36:33Speaker 1: and give their testimony anonymously. That's not going to happen.
- 36:39Speaker 1: So let's see what else do we got here. We
- 36:43Speaker 1: have about Glenn Maxwell's ex assistant, Kimberly Espinosa, and how
- 36:54Speaker 1: she was called up and how she was gushing about Maxwell,
- 36:57Speaker 1: and this that the other thing. You know, out of
- 37:00Speaker 1: all of the people that have worked with Maxwell and Epstein,
- 37:03Speaker 1: this is the only one that they have found that
- 37:05Speaker 1: could come up there as a character witness. So Kimberly Espinoza,
- 37:09Speaker 1: she was the first witness called yesterday and she told
- 37:12Speaker 1: the Jerry about her time working side by side with
- 37:16Speaker 1: Maxwell from ninety six to two thousand and two, and
- 37:19Speaker 1: like we talked about yesterday, she at first thought Maxwell
- 37:23Speaker 1: and Epstein were a couple, according to Espinoza's testimony, and
- 37:28Speaker 1: then she worked at the Madison Avenue office with Epstein,
- 37:35Speaker 1: and then she worked as Maxwell's assistant right now, Espinosa
- 37:40Speaker 1: claimed that Epstein asked her to send flowers to another woman,
- 37:44Speaker 1: Selena Middlefart, during that time behind Maxwell's back. What that does,
- 37:50Speaker 1: That goes to show you and why I'm bringing that
- 37:52Speaker 1: up is just to punch home the fact Maxwell and
- 37:55Speaker 1: Epstein were never an exclusive couple, right like you or
- 37:58Speaker 1: I would be you and your significant other where you
- 38:01Speaker 1: would never think about being with somebody else or hurting
- 38:04Speaker 1: them or anything like that. That wasn't what Epstein and
- 38:07Speaker 1: Maxwell were. It was a business arrangement. And I know
- 38:12Speaker 1: the official narrative doesn't state that, but the official narrative
- 38:15Speaker 1: doesn't state a lot of things that have been proven
- 38:17Speaker 1: to be correct. And I would think that after all
- 38:22Speaker 1: of these years that people would be hip to the
- 38:25Speaker 1: fact that the legacy media is being lapped when it
- 38:29Speaker 1: comes to this story. The stuff that they bring up,
- 38:31Speaker 1: the stuff that they talk about, we have literally talked
- 38:34Speaker 1: about years ago. For instance, Shelley Anne Lewis, gwendolen Beck
- 38:41Speaker 1: those episodes. I uploaded those episodes a year and a half,
- 38:46Speaker 1: two years ago in some cases. So we've been talking
- 38:49Speaker 1: about these people for a very very long time. And
- 38:52Speaker 1: to see that some of them are being brought up
- 38:54Speaker 1: here in the proceedings, it's certainly a step in the
- 38:56Speaker 1: right direction, but they need to go further because there
- 39:01Speaker 1: are so many other people that were involved in this
- 39:04Speaker 1: that it's insane to me that we're not seeing people
- 39:08Speaker 1: like Sarah Kelln Vickers, or Adriana Ross or Leslie Groff.
- 39:15Speaker 1: It's just almost impossible for me to understand how people
- 39:21Speaker 1: who had such a huge role in what went on here,
- 39:24Speaker 1: and people who have actually been fingered by survivors have
- 39:28Speaker 1: been able to stay out of the firing line. And
- 39:34Speaker 1: again it goes back to the scope, right, but at
- 39:38Speaker 1: the very least these people should have been called up
- 39:41Speaker 1: by the prosecution, should have been hit with some kind
- 39:46Speaker 1: of indictment or pressure to come up and speak. Now,
- 39:52Speaker 1: that's not what this turned into, though, this is you know,
- 39:56Speaker 1: this is very specific when it comes to the crimes
- 40:01Speaker 1: that they're talking about, and the fact that it is
- 40:06Speaker 1: just being brought up now. The fact that Glenn Maxwell
- 40:10Speaker 1: was able to avoid prosecution for so long is really
- 40:17Speaker 1: one of the biggest issues with all of this, and
- 40:20Speaker 1: one of the biggest issues that has to be discussed
- 40:22Speaker 1: even after this case ends. This trial's over, because the
- 40:26Speaker 1: implications for what occurred here are gigantic. The fact that
- 40:32Speaker 1: there were so many people who were hip to what's
- 40:35Speaker 1: going on here and people that are in positions of power.
- 40:40Speaker 1: The fact that Acosta was left holding the bag when
- 40:44Speaker 1: there are so many people above him that should have
- 40:47Speaker 1: been clipped as well, the fact that the prosecutors in
- 40:51Speaker 1: Florida the first time around worked with the defense attorneys
- 40:55Speaker 1: to undercut the testimony and the credibility of the witnesses.
- 41:03Speaker 1: This is the kind of thing that has been happening
- 41:05Speaker 1: in this case since the very beginning. So when people
- 41:11Speaker 1: are worried that things are going to continue to go
- 41:14Speaker 1: that way, it's a legit concern, right. But what I
- 41:18Speaker 1: will say is this, folks, so far, when it comes
- 41:23Speaker 1: to this specific trial, this specific case, I don't think
- 41:27Speaker 1: Maxwell has done enough as far as her defense team
- 41:31Speaker 1: and the legal arguments that they have brought forward. I
- 41:34Speaker 1: think that what they have so far is really nothing.
- 41:38Speaker 1: They're hoping that the playbook from the early two thousands
- 41:42Speaker 1: is going to be relevant now. But just like Urban
- 41:47Speaker 1: Meyer found out down in Jacksonville, these are the pros.
- 41:52Speaker 1: This is in college anymore, and it's the same for Maxwell.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Things have changed. The whole landscape has changed. The way
- 41:58Speaker 1: people look at these kinds of crimes has changed. And
- 42:02Speaker 1: whenever there is a woman involved in a manner such
- 42:06Speaker 1: as this, people are not very happy about it, right,
- 42:13Speaker 1: and people are not willing to look the other way.
- 42:18Speaker 1: It becomes even more heinous when a woman is involved,
- 42:21Speaker 1: and a lot of times when the jerry sees that,
- 42:24Speaker 1: they go hard in the paint. So I'm expecting, unless
- 42:29Speaker 1: there's some sort of super bombshell that we can't anticipate,
- 42:33Speaker 1: that we're going to get a little bit more of
- 42:35Speaker 1: the same today, and that the prosecution is going to
- 42:38Speaker 1: set themselves up for another great day. I just don't
- 42:42Speaker 1: see how any of these witnesses that Maxwell's going to
- 42:46Speaker 1: call are going to be enough or have enough knowledge
- 42:50Speaker 1: of what went on here to punch holes in the
- 42:53Speaker 1: argument of the for survivors and the testimony that they've
- 42:58Speaker 1: brought forward. Their stories are all locked in together, and
- 43:02Speaker 1: everything that they talk about, you can see the pattern
- 43:06Speaker 1: in each separate case, how it lines up. You could
- 43:10Speaker 1: see how Maxwell and Epstein groomed them, you can see
- 43:14Speaker 1: how they brought them into their orbit. And those are
- 43:16Speaker 1: those foundational blocks that have been built over the first
- 43:20Speaker 1: two weeks of testimony. And I think that as we
- 43:25Speaker 1: get closer to a judgment on Glenn Maxwell's future, I'm
- 43:30Speaker 1: getting a little bit more confident as these days go by. Now,
- 43:33Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, I really wasn't all that confident
- 43:36Speaker 1: last week when the defense, I mean, when the prosecution
- 43:39Speaker 1: rested their case. I really, you know, it took some
- 43:43Speaker 1: time for me to sit down and really say, all right, well,
- 43:47Speaker 1: we'll see what's going to happen here. But now, after
- 43:50Speaker 1: yesterday and seeing how doctor Loftus's testimony really didn't play well,
- 43:57Speaker 1: I don't see how they're going to be able to
- 43:59Speaker 1: bring anyone forward to punch holes in the memory argument here.
- 44:05Speaker 1: If their doctor, their big shot professional couldn't do it,
- 44:09Speaker 1: I doubt any of these other witnesses are going to
- 44:11Speaker 1: be able to do it, so today we're going to
- 44:15Speaker 1: see what's up. We know we have three witnesses that
- 44:18Speaker 1: the defense is talking about calling one of them Eva,
- 44:23Speaker 1: another Michelle, and I believe one is Kelly, and for me,
- 44:27Speaker 1: the most interesting out of those names is Eva. I'm
- 44:30Speaker 1: wondering if it's Eva Dubin, but I highly doubt it,
- 44:33Speaker 1: So we'll see in a little while, I guess. Anyway, folks,
- 44:37Speaker 1: I'll be here same as usual, taking notes, getting ready
- 44:41Speaker 1: for the evening update so we can go over a
- 44:44Speaker 1: little bit at least of what went on in the courtroom.
- 44:48Speaker 1: All right, everybody, Until then, I hope you all have
- 44:51Speaker 1: a great day and I will be back later. If
