Campfire Bans Hit Minnesota This Weekend | Duluth News
Fire danger is real—starting Sunday, July 12th at 8 AM, strict burning bans hit Cook, Lake, and northern St. Louis Counties in Minnesota. No campfires allowed in backcountry, state forests, or parks—only in designated fire rings, cabins, or permanent campgrounds. Brush burning and fireworks outside city limits are also banned. The U.S. Forest Service is enforcing similar rules in the Superior National Forest and Boundary Waters. Stay safe and check the DNR website for maps and details.
