- Shaun: Hello, welcome back to the reset with me Sean Tucker. This is episode 82 So why are you not taking action? already There's so many people out there like yourself right now who's still thinking who's still thinking Hmm today doesn't seem like it's the day. I'm gonna take action Well, what if I told you that someone right now had that thought but instead of continuing to think about it they just went and took action. and not to compare, but If you went and took action right now, you would be one step ahead of that thought. How cool is that? This is how you build momentum, right? Is you just take the next step. You just take the next step. And something that I love ⁓ Charlie Rocket for. And if you haven't seen Charlie Rocket on social media, go and check him out. He's got millions of followers. But I first came across him 2019, 2020, something like that, where he wasn't as big on social media. And the guy is literally a genius. He helped people like 2 Chainz become really well known ⁓ in the industry, in the hip hop. industry and man this guy he's an interesting interesting guy because he's a big dreamer he's a big visionary and his energy is so infectious like you know that there's kind of three people one that will motivate one that will inspire and the other one is an aspirational character and i think charlie rocket he fits into the third one There's a lot of motivational people out there. There's a lot of inspirational people. There are fewer inspirational people than motivational. But then there's that one category further and that's aspirational people. There are far less aspirational people to look up to and to really, they're the people that ignite something within you. Because inspire means you're already ignited within yourself. You see them, see that person as yourself. Right? You're able to tap into their potential. Cause you'll see something about them that it's like, hang on, why can't I do that? It's there's no reason why I can't like you see that they are human too. They just took action and that's the difference. Right? So there's something I've been learning from Charlie rocket through what he's been sharing and it's called a winning streak. Basically it's an amplified gratitude list. So what I mean by that is instead of writing out your list for things that you're grateful, write out the things that you are really grateful for and they can be really, really simple, but then get into the feeling of not just being grateful, but like, I'm winning. I'm on a bloody winning streak. Like, wow. Cause how good does it feel to win? How good does it feel to be making progress towards where you're going? It feels amazing. and especially when you start to reframe your losses. The only thing different between someone who lost and someone who is great at losing is the guy who's great at losing learns how to win. the guy who just loses, right, becomes lost. He loses himself. So become great at losing and you'll learn how to win. That's what I've been learning from that man, Charlie Rocket. Really aspiring, really inspiring. There's just something about his energy that's incredibly infectious. But anyway, leads me to the point of why you're still sitting there and not taking action. What's interesting is thoughts are also action. They're just not in your body. And I think there's a lot of people out there with a lot of ideas, a lot of thinking, but they're not moving. And when you become embodied towards your ideas, this is where it manifests physically. This is where it turns into what you really want. And I think this is the coolest thing because When you're able to show people what you do, not just talk about what you do, it just ignites something deep within them. And I reflect on this actually in the last couple of sales conversations that I've had. And also the statement that I used in one of the conversations was, you know, the pain will push until the vision pulls. And I mentioned that in a podcast episode just either yesterday or the day before. Once you have that really clear vision of what it is you want and what it is you can show other people, it really allows them to see themselves in it. And you have to use what you're strong at. If you're really good at creating models and diagrams and showing people that way, if you're really great at showcasing videos, using it that way. If you're really good at using words to create the visual representation of what it is that you're creating, then use that as well. When you start layering these things all together, you can actually start speaking to your client or your people in different ways. And this even relates to you being a parent or being a dad, right? Because your kids won't buy in to what you have planned until they can picture it themselves. Until they see themselves in it. and think about those times where you've maybe. promised your kid, like, yeah, we'll get to do that later. Like if you stop doing it now, we'll eat dinner and then we'll go and do it. And sometimes you as the adult, forget what you've said, but the kid always remembers. It's like, hey, dad, we do this now? And man, they are good at calling you out. They are so good at calling you up and holding you accountable. I think there's an accountability factor that comes from kids, which is far more potent than kind of any coaching program or any other thing that you probably experienced because the behaviors. that you notice with children? they're actually a mirror representation of you. And so maybe speaking about your goals to your kids and to your family could actually really help you hold you accountable to the direction that you're going. For me, there was a podcast I used to listen to. It was called the Flow Research Collective Podcast and Stephen Kotlar and his co-host. They would go into in-depth conversations about how people achieve flow in their life. And one of the things that they say is don't ever speak about your goals with anyone else, not even the people you most love. Because when you start putting it out there, it's like you're seeking this validation. And the more you're able to just... hold that within yourself, the more true it can become. Which I've experimented with both ways and honestly I think the one that works for me is probably holding it within myself because when you speak about your goals to people and they have really strong opinions about it what does that do to your goals? What does that do to your vision? Unless they're really upbeat and supportive it might change. It might get cut down. It might get... chopped away or trimmed. And we don't want that. If you really care about your goals and you're really sensitive to the people around you's opinions, maybe you need to keep it little bit closer, protect it. Like if you were, if you had a candle. And the flame was just a little flame. Protect it. Because if you go and speak it to everyone, they'll just blow it out. And we don't want that for you. And maybe that's why you're not taking it. So take big bold action, starting to sound a bit more like Tony Robbins, take massive action towards your goals and do it with the people who support you. Be around people who are achieving great things and keep going. I believe in you, keep going. So if you found today valuable, I encourage you to share it with just one person. That's how we grow the podcast. I look forward to seeing you in tomorrow's episode. Thanks for tuning in.
