• 2:33
Speaker 1: It is out there, it's a boogie.
• 2:34
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a ways out there.
• 2:34
Speaker 1: Um, and to get out there you go out out i-10 past sealy, and then you take a road to goes north and, uh, that's the best that I can tell you it.
• 2:42
Speaker 2: It's like it was like 50 miles, like 50 miles one way.
• 2:44
Speaker 2: Are you kidding me?
• 2:45
Speaker 2: Well, not off of I-10.
• 2:48
Speaker 1: No, no, it was total from house to house 50 miles.
• 2:50
Speaker 1: Yeah, it took us an hour to get out there, nice area.
• 2:54
  Speaker 2: Beautiful area.
• 2:54
  Speaker 2: Yeah, good country.
• 2:58
Speaker 1: It's just a little distance and I'm wondering if they have cats out there.
• 3:08
Speaker 2: I have cats out there because it is cat springs.
• 3:09
Speaker 2: Well, is it cats springs or cat springs cat?
• 3:11
  Speaker 2: I think.
• 3:11
Speaker 2: Well, cat cat singular, singular.
• 3:12
Speaker 1: Okay, I would believe, I would say, yeah, right well, at any rate, while we're waiting for jackie, um, you know if he has to be in cat springs, that's why we can't get him, because there is no cell service out there.
• 3:25
Speaker 1: You're lucky if you can do cup and string.
• 3:28
  Speaker 1: Well, okay.
• 3:29
Speaker 1: So a couple of recalls for you.
• 3:31
  Speaker 1: Ford F-150, lightning 23 to 24.
• 3:35
Speaker 1: Loss of steering from front control arm separation Ooh.
• 3:42
Speaker 2: Martha, those are two things you don't want to separate.
• 3:44
Speaker 2: No, martha, I think that something you don't want to separate, no Martha.
• 3:46
Speaker 1: I think that something's happened to the front suspension.
• 3:49
Speaker 1: Here we're sitting on the ground.
• 3:51
Speaker 1: Martha went right and I went left.
• 3:52
Speaker 1: Yep, also missing seat mounting bolts.
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: What?
• 3:59
Speaker 1: As you press on the accelerator pedal, you wind up in the back seat.
• 4:06
Speaker 1: Wow, on the Kia EV9 for $24,000 and $25,000.
• 4:09
Speaker 1: And you got the EV.
• 4:10
  Speaker 1: Kia, what Four?
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: No, I got the K4.
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: K4.
• 4:14
Speaker 1: Uh-huh, and I'm telling you it's pretty cool, it's a great looking car.
• 4:19
Speaker 1: Did you check for bolts?
• 4:19
  Speaker 1: I did not.
• 4:20
Speaker 1: I didn't look under the seats, but there's that.
• 4:22
  Speaker 1: I did not.
• 4:22
Speaker 1: I didn't look under the seats, but there's that.
• 4:26
Speaker 1: I will tell you that some of the cars that I get are pretty interesting and I had not heard of the K4.
• 4:35
Speaker 1: As much as I got the ear to the ground on all the new cars, I'd not heard of them, especially EVs.
• 4:41
Speaker 1: And so they emailed me and said we're bringing you the K4.
• 4:44
Speaker 1: I'm thinking I don't know what a K44 is, I'll go out there and see it.
• 4:52
Speaker 1: When I see it go out there, I'm thinking huh, it's a four-door sedan, it's not an ev, because it doesn't have that big door to plug it in yeah and uh, it's got a two liter little four-cylinder engine in it.
• 5:02
Speaker 1: it's not not real fast, but that's not what it's about.
• 5:04
Speaker 1: It's about the price, and this one here is loaded up at $25,000.
• 5:09
Speaker 1: I think you can get in one for $21,000.
• 5:11
Speaker 1: I'm interested when you do the review on what it's comparable to you don't have to spoil it or anything, but it's strictly a four-cylinder turbo, yeah, and when I do the know I try to keep the prices together.
• 5:25
Speaker 1: So what else could you get for $21,000, $25,000?
• 5:29
Speaker 1: You can get the Invista.
• 5:31
Speaker 2: Can you the Buick Invista is like to start the basis $25,000.
• 5:35
  Speaker 2: Interesting yeah.
• 5:36
Speaker 1: So there are some cars out there that you don't have to pay $45,000.
• 5:39
Speaker 1: And look, who's got the?
• 5:40
  Speaker 2: Invista coming up.
• 5:41
Speaker 2: See there, good lead in Michael Is.
• 5:43
Speaker 1: And look who's got the Invista coming up.
• 5:44
Speaker 1: See there, good lead in Michael.
• 5:44
  Speaker 1: Is it $25,000?
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: Pretty close.
• 5:46
  Speaker 4: Base on it.
• 5:46
Speaker 4: Yes, a little bit less actually.
• 5:48
  Speaker 4: There you go.
• 5:49
Speaker 2: See, I know, my Buicks.
• 5:50
Speaker 2: Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick?
• 5:54
Speaker 1: Just saying you know, you're showing your age.
• 5:57
  Speaker 2: I know A lot.
• 6:00
Speaker 1: Me and Dinah Shore going through the.
• 6:02
Speaker 2: That would be see the USA in your Chevrolet, in your Chevrolet, yeah.
• 6:06
Speaker 1: And what was the one for Oldsmobile?
• 6:08
Speaker 1: This is not your father's Oldsmobile, something like that, or grandpa's Oldsmobile.
• 6:13
Speaker 2: Yeah, I have to think about that.
• 6:14
Speaker 2: I'm sure my cousin Doug out there is listening, so he'll probably know why Is Doug an Olds guy.
• 6:21
Speaker 2: Well, no, he's just a car guy.
• 6:24
Speaker 2: Okay, he would know he had a GTO.
• 6:26
Speaker 2: Gto or Le Mans Tempest, something of that nature.
• 6:29
  Speaker 2: Hot rod guy.
• 6:31
Speaker 1: I have to tell you that you know, when you click on these old commercials every once in a while on Facebook, then you start getting more of them.
• 6:39
  Speaker 1: Yeah, oh my.
• 6:40
  Speaker 2: God.
• 6:41
Speaker 2: And then you get focused on wow, that was cool, oh my God.
• 6:41
Speaker 2: And then you get focused on well, that was cool.
• 6:43
Speaker 1: And yeah, I hear what you're saying yeah.
• 6:44
Speaker 1: And I ask Leslie, because I send her all of these reels?
• 6:49
Speaker 1: Poor Leslie, I know I torture her with the reels.
• 6:53
Speaker 1: But there's also some commercials in there car commercials that are pretty cool too.
• 6:57
Speaker 2: But see, we remember the old commercials and the nostalgia things.
• 7:01
Speaker 2: And what do you have today to remember?
• 7:03
Speaker 2: Three cars doing the crab walk on an icy road, that's all choreographed, and you got a dog running slow motion through the snow and all that.
• 7:15
  Speaker 2: Those aren't memorable.
• 7:17
Speaker 2: Those are stupid in my opinion.
• 7:19
Speaker 2: Okay, I don't like them, all right, change them.
• 7:22
Speaker 1: So I guess that your application to the advertising marketing firm?
• 7:26
Speaker 2: is out the door, it's out the door.
• 7:27
  Speaker 1: It's done.
• 7:28
Speaker 1: Well, look who's finally decided to show up.
• 7:31
Speaker 1: Wake up, Ladies and gentlemen.
• 7:33
Speaker 1: Mr Jackie Hansen, Fireman Jack as some people refer to him.
• 7:37
  Speaker 1: Are you outside?
• 7:37
Speaker 1: Are you in the shop?
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: Where are you?
• 7:39
Speaker 1: I'm in the cave, jackie.
• 7:42
Speaker 1: Can you hear us?
• 7:42
  Speaker 1: Apparently not, uh-oh.
• 7:45
Speaker 1: Well, I have done nothing over here for him not to hear us, but that ain't my problem.
• 7:51
Speaker 1: So whenever you get that worked out, just let me know.
• 7:53
Speaker 1: Okay, gotcha, I wanted to bring up the fact that we've got some really cold temperatures coming our way, and if you have a car that sits outside, I really don't think that you're going to have to worry too much about a busted block because it's supposed to touch about 30 32 degrees for a couple of hours on the cusp yeah, on the cusp, but it's a kind of a wake-up call, so to speak.
• 8:24
Speaker 1: Um, to have your antifreeze checked.
• 8:27
Speaker 1: If you're one of those kind of people that really don't pay much attention to that sort of stuff, they make a real, very simple, very cheap little thing.
• 8:38
Speaker 1: That's about that big and it kind of looks like a little a mini version of a turkey baster.
• 8:47
Speaker 1: It's got four balls in it and you look at the ball color on the chart and it basically will give you an obviously variable, but it gets you pretty close to how low your antifreeze is good for, and when they get to the blue one then it's really cold.
• 9:06
Speaker 2: Thank you, and it's like the pool.
• 9:08
Speaker 2: When you do the stuff in the pool, you check the water in the pool.
• 9:11
Speaker 2: For all that, yeah.
• 9:11
Speaker 2: So that means that you have to open up your radiator water supply thing and we talked about that a couple weeks ago for getting your vehicle ready for the winter, and Don's right, you've got to get it done.
• 9:25
Speaker 1: Well, I mean you don't want to.
• 9:26
Speaker 1: If your car is teetering on the edge of whether or not, yeah, whether you've even opened the hood the last year.
• 9:36
Speaker 2: Have you ever pulled a thermostat for the winter on your car?
• 9:39
Speaker 1: No, I never did that.
• 9:41
Speaker 2: You Once yeah, why?
• 9:43
Speaker 2: Well, just because we could.
• 9:47
  Speaker 4: Because, you could?
• 9:48
  Speaker 1: You were what?
• 9:48
  Speaker 1: 18?
• 9:48
  Speaker 1: Teenagers?
• 9:49
Speaker 1: I was just going to say, let's do that.
• 9:50
Speaker 4: That ain't so easy to do nowadays.
• 9:52
Speaker 2: I put a freeze plug in the left side of a 350 motor in January.
• 9:57
Speaker 2: What a total pain that is.
• 9:59
Speaker 2: Oh, tell me about it and your hands are cold and you're under there with a hammer.
• 10:03
Speaker 2: I put headers on a car in the middle of the winter in an unheated garage.
• 10:07
Speaker 2: Oh God, in Detroit.
• 10:10
Speaker 2: Yeah, my mother-in-law's house, yeah, no, that was fun it took me forever.
• 10:16
Speaker 1: Did the garage have a concrete floor?
• 10:18
Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, Concrete dirty Because it was constant.
• 10:24
Speaker 1: in my era, most of the garages didn't have a concrete floor and you had the trouble light.
• 10:29
Speaker 2: You had to hang.
• 10:30
Speaker 2: It was always facing the wrong way, right in your eyes, and you busted your knuckles.
• 10:36
  Speaker 1: We had rocks.
• 10:37
Speaker 1: I don't know why those crushed rock Pebbles.
• 10:39
Speaker 1: No, these were crushed.
• 10:41
Speaker 1: This was crushed rock that was in the garage, dirty, nasty, oh yeah, cold.
• 10:47
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, cold, yeah, and very cold because the dirt was frozen and then you fire it up and the negative cable from the starter was laying on the header.
• 10:58
  Speaker 2: It melted.
• 10:59
Speaker 2: You got to drink.
• 11:00
Speaker 2: It's just a yeah, but it was cool when you had it.
• 11:03
Speaker 2: You don't do that stuff anymore.
• 11:04
Speaker 2: No, no, I mean, I'm too old to do that.
• 11:07
Speaker 2: I can't get on crawling around a car.
• 11:10
Speaker 1: No, well, I can, but I can't on the Corvette because it's too low to the ground.
• 11:14
Speaker 1: No, you can't do that.
• 11:15
Speaker 1: I can't even use those hydraulic jacks that you know.
• 11:20
Speaker 1: You slide under the side and use a little electric motor and it pumps it up.
• 11:26
Speaker 1: It don't fit under there.
• 11:27
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, because you're on your vet.
• 11:29
Speaker 2: No, I agree, we got Jackie.
• 11:33
Speaker 4: Well, I can see him and it says he's unmuted, but I don't think he can hear us yet.
• 11:41
Speaker 2: Jackie, can you hear us no?
• 11:44
Speaker 4: Hold up a sign, Jackie.
• 11:45
Speaker 1: He can see that he's waving.
• 11:46
Speaker 1: Put him up there, jeff.
• 11:47
Speaker 1: This is what we're looking at, while he he doesn't have any clue that we're even talking about him.
• 11:53
Speaker 1: He's looking at his phone with these texts that mars is sending him.
• 11:59
Speaker 1: Well, I don't know what I'm doing out here.
• 12:02
Speaker 1: We love you, jackie.
• 12:05
Speaker 1: Yeah, we do, and since this is all a big mess, we can make fun of you and you can't even hear us.
• 12:12
  Speaker 1: That's right.
• 12:12
Speaker 1: You can't talk back.
• 12:13
Speaker 1: Okay, there was something else that I wanted to bring up what you need in your garage, those tools in a DIY garage.
• 12:23
Speaker 2: You sent that to me and I didn't really plug it into anything recent sent that to me and I didn't really plug it into anything recent.
• 12:32
Speaker 1: Those tools in a diy garage are permanent items.
• 12:33
Speaker 1: Your socket, set floor, jack not need a replacement every few uses.
• 12:36
Speaker 1: However, tackling a project regularly, some of the things you might need a tub of chassis grease oh yeah, I've got a tub of grease in that cabinet right there.
• 12:51
Speaker 2: From when you hid your Edsel.
• 12:52
Speaker 2: I was waiting for you to see your Model T.
• 12:54
Speaker 1: Yeah, something like that Do you have a tub of grease in the garage, morris, not anymore you threw it out.
• 12:58
Speaker 2: Yep Got one in the kitchen called Crisco.
• 13:01
Speaker 1: Crisco yeah, that'd be one of those that would.
• 13:05
Speaker 1: It's a cooking oil yeah, right, but be one of those that would it's a cooking oil, right, but you'd have to really worry about the rats and stuff eating it away from the.
• 13:11
Speaker 2: So is the grease the red bearing grease, or is it the black grease or the rear end?
• 13:15
  Speaker 1: dope.
• 13:16
Speaker 1: No, it's dark grease.
• 13:18
Speaker 1: Yeah, that you'd slather.
• 13:21
Speaker 2: You know you used to pack bearings with yeah well, bearing grease is red, isn't it?
• 13:24
Speaker 4: No, no, it's almost a green, okay, Kind of Kind of a really dark, oily green.
• 13:32
Speaker 1: How about a medium-strength thread locker?
• 13:34
Speaker 1: Do you got any of that in your?
• 13:36
  Speaker 3: tool chest.
• 13:37
Speaker 1: Medium-strength, so you can hold the threads, keep the thing in there, but it's not so tough that you're going to break the head off of it when you want to undo it.
• 13:46
Speaker 1: Medium stream how about dielectric grease?
• 13:50
Speaker 2: got some you got some of that.
• 13:51
Speaker 2: I got a tube of that wd-40 and penetrating all that graphite too.
• 13:55
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, how about starting fluid?
• 13:58
Speaker 2: Uh, I probably need to get a can, but I haven't.
• 14:01
Speaker 2: Occasionally I'll use it on the mower, if the you know.
• 14:04
Speaker 1: Just seasonal changes for yeah yeah, am I even talking to you?
• 14:08
  Speaker 1: You?
• 14:08
Speaker 4: threw all that stuff out no, no, I've still got like the starter fluid.
• 14:12
Speaker 4: I use that because, like jeff said, you know if it's a month, two months sometimes before hairspray works pretty good too, but I know kind of gums thing is up I never tried hairspray.
• 14:21
Speaker 1: Well, tell me about anything in an aerosol can?
• 14:25
Speaker 1: Yeah, generally speaking, it will fire right up, so to speak.
• 14:29
  Speaker 1: Probably darn.
• 14:29
Speaker 1: How about white lithium grease?
• 14:32
Speaker 2: I do, I've got some of that Yep Got a small can of that.
• 14:35
Speaker 2: Okay, what do you use lithium grease for?
• 14:37
Speaker 2: Last time I used it, I think, was for lubricating a hinge or something like that.
• 14:43
Speaker 4: I use it on my garage door.
• 14:45
Speaker 1: Door handles, dash parts and hinges white lithium grease.
• 14:50
  Speaker 1: Carburetor cleaner.
• 14:54
Speaker 4: Do we even have any?
• 14:54
  Speaker 1: carburetors anymore.
• 14:54
Speaker 4: That's kind of a universal thing, yeah, but that's a really good cleaner though.
• 14:57
Speaker 2: It's for hands, it's almost as good as brake or gasoline.
• 15:02
Speaker 1: I've been known to wash my hands in gasoline Not in a long time, it's been a long time.
• 15:06
Speaker 1: Then you dry it out.
• 15:07
Speaker 1: That's what gasoline is, isn't it?
• 15:12
Speaker 1: No, well, yeah, it is, but that's not what wax and grease remover is.
• 15:16
Speaker 2: Well, you got a degreaser you can put on your engine, but not for no, no, no.
• 15:21
Speaker 1: It's a wax and grease remover.
• 15:22
  Speaker 1: I don't know about that.
• 15:24
Speaker 1: If you sanded down a part or just cleaned something up that you want to put a fresh coat of paint on, even a quick wipe down with a good wax and grease remover will leave the surface ready for paint.
• 15:37
Speaker 1: Brake cleaner oh my God.
• 15:40
Speaker 1: We use brake cleaner for everything.
• 15:44
Speaker 1: I love brake cleaner, yeah.
• 15:47
Speaker 2: In the aerosol, can Drop a couple down the carburetor to clean it out, smoke it, brake cleaner.
• 15:52
Speaker 2: We use transmission fluid, transmission fluid, same thing.
• 15:55
Speaker 2: And then you can put it on your tires to make them dark.
• 15:57
Speaker 1: Problem with transmission fluid.
• 15:58
Speaker 1: But now they have catalytic converters and it really screw up the catalytic converter.
• 16:03
Speaker 4: Well, but you don't have carburetors to pour it down either.
• 16:05
  Speaker 4: That's true.
• 16:06
Speaker 1: Engine degreaser we just talked about that.
• 16:08
Speaker 1: Glass cleaner got some up there.
• 16:10
  Speaker 1: Plenty.
• 16:12
Speaker 2: Interior cleaner got that up there too Plenty A little vinyl cleaner and detailer.
• 16:16
Speaker 1: Yeah, so those are just some of the things that you might want to have in your supply of stuff for the car In your repertoire, in your repertoire for the car.
• 16:27
Speaker 2: You know people do carry that stuff, like when you go on the hot rod tour.
• 16:30
Speaker 2: You go on one of the excursions, you keep a little box or a little tool kit for safety and other things.
• 16:36
Speaker 2: Keep a couple of small case box.
• 16:39
Speaker 2: They, yeah, they make smaller cans of that.

• 17:32
Speaker 1: Yeah Well, why would you carry a lime around?
• 17:35
Speaker 1: It may be, needed.
• 17:36
  Speaker 4: You never know.
• 17:36
  Speaker 4: That's right.
• 17:37
Speaker 1: If you've got a shovel and a bag, the DPS would really be interested in that if they found that in the truck.
• 17:42
  Speaker 1: Hey, I'm a construction worker.
• 17:44
Speaker 4: Hey, it's for the yard.
• 17:45

• 17:46
Speaker 1: Yeah, uh-huh, poland, that you got there.

Speaker 1: And the lime, keep the stink down after you get whatever it is that you're burying.
• 17:56
  Speaker 1: Buried, no Psycho.

Speaker 4: Of course you get over there where I'm at the swamps, you just kind of take your flat bottom boat.
• 18:07
Speaker 2: Let the gators take care of it.
• 18:10
Speaker 1: Actually, I don't know, as if I've ever been to Nederland or Niederville, you got close.
• 18:15
Speaker 4: I know you've been to Beaumont.
• 18:16
  Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
• 18:17
Speaker 1: Yeah, been down to Winnie and all that area over there, kind of in your deck of the woods I think we should do remote from your place.
• 18:23
Speaker 4: Well, I'm thinking the Tailpipes and Tacos has talked about doing one from Beaumont.
• 18:28
Speaker 1: Yeah, no, we're talking about your house, oh, my house.
• 18:33
Speaker 1: We want to see where you live, mars.
• 18:36

• 18:39
Speaker 4: Well you, got to bring lime.
• 18:40
Speaker 4: I got fiber now.
• 18:43
Speaker 2: And you got to bring lime.
• 18:45
  Speaker 4: That's right.
• 18:45
Speaker 4: Bring your own shovel and lime.
• 18:47
Speaker 2: What is it they say, if you want to get rid of something, get rid of it and then put some endangered plants around it, because they'll never be discovered.
• 18:59
Speaker 2: We'll be digging them up there you go.
• 19:00

Speaker 1: We hope to see you then.
• 21:05
Speaker 1: Hey, thanks for joining us today on the In-Wheel Time Car Talk Show.
• 21:09
Speaker 1: Time now for Jeff's feature of the week.
• 21:16
  Speaker 2: There we go.
• 21:16
Speaker 2: Hennon, farina GT and Enigma, here you go.
• 21:17
Speaker 2: So what's going on here is it is an Enigma.
• 21:19
Speaker 2: This vehicle measures 14.8 feet long.
• 21:20
Speaker 2: It's 6.4 feet wide, 4 feet tall, and it is the Enigma GT.
• 21:25
Speaker 2: Standout features lie in its wheelbase.
• 21:27
Speaker 2: Just the wheelbase alone is 10 feet.
• 21:30
Speaker 2: It's the 2 plus 2 interior, with hydrogen fuel internal combustion engine nestled in a central rear area, enhancing aero dynamics, paired with an electric motor up front, this prototype boosts all-wheel drive traction for a sporty ride.
• 21:45
Speaker 2: But what it really catches is your eye.
• 21:48
Speaker 2: It's the unique cabin entry.
• 21:49
Speaker 2: While it may look like your standard scissor door setup, the entire roof lifts, offering an unparalleled panoramic view for occupants.
• 21:59
Speaker 2: The Pininfarina hasn't revealed a new car.
• 22:02
Speaker 2: It has revealed everything.
• 22:04
Speaker 2: Check that out the Italian coach builder with a long list of chassis In their classic designs.
• 22:11
Speaker 2: The new entry is contemporary.
• 22:13
Speaker 2: It's a GT capable of blending unique characteristics.
• 22:16
Speaker 2: The dash and windscreen all lift as one and once on board you'll spot the OLED screen an aerodynamically inspired dash.
• 22:25
Speaker 2: Sustainable material choices augment the reality in the windscreen.
• 22:30
Speaker 2: There's lots of AI, of course, and lots of driver assistance Proving necessary, considering the unique characteristics of the powertrain the 2.5-liter V6 engine on board, powered here not by petrol, but by hydrogen, mike.
• 22:47
Speaker 2: The petrol is gas.
• 22:48
Speaker 2: On your end, I'll just let you know, thank you.
• 22:50
Speaker 2: The engine alone kicks out 435 horsepower and has but one job the power.
• 22:57
Speaker 2: The rear axle only, so you're only going to get the power from the ice engine to the back.
• 23:02
Speaker 2: Powering the front axle is a 200 horsepower electric motor powered by a 10 kilowatt battery, which together gives the new Enigma that's right, all-wheel drive, because that's what you want in it.
• 23:15
Speaker 2: Together gives the new Enigma that's right, all-wheel drive, because that's what you want in it.
• 23:18
Speaker 2: It also features the lower, the height of the bonnet, which is the front area of the vehicle, because the e-motors are smaller than the engine and thus the car with optimum aerodynamic coefficient.
• 23:29
Speaker 2: So it's not too massive.
• 23:31
Speaker 2: The long wheelbase, the truth, is fraction bigger than the BMW 3 Series, which should give you an idea of the size.
• 23:37
Speaker 2: It's not too heavy, the concept weighing in at around 3,726 pounds.
• 23:42
Speaker 2: So lots of expectation atop the streamlined physique.
• 23:45
Speaker 2: On one hand, it nods to the reimagined kind of car we all want to rediscover.
• 23:50
Speaker 2: We talked about that for auto shows.
• 23:52
Speaker 2: That's where this should be.
• 23:53
Speaker 2: So there you go.
• 23:56
  Speaker 2: It's a very cool car.
• 23:57
Speaker 2: Hopefully they'll build it someday.
• 23:58
Speaker 2: Uh, I'm excited they ain't gonna build it.
• 24:01
Speaker 1: No, but it's, it's something it sure is nice to look at.
• 24:04
Speaker 1: Yep, absolutely all right time now on the in-wheel time car talk show for this hour's car review.
• 24:10
Speaker 4: Mr mars driving the buick invista everybody pay attention, yeah, pay attention this is the 2025 buick invista comes in three trim levels.
• 24:21
Speaker 4: It comes in the preferred, the sport touring and the avenue avenue avenue, and we were driving the sport touring.
• 24:29
Speaker 4: Now all trim levels are front wheel drive.
• 24:31
Speaker 4: All wheel drive is not available in this vehicle.
• 24:33
Speaker 4: Now it's classified as a small station wagon.
• 24:36
Speaker 4: Now in marketing terms that's called a small SUV.
• 24:39
Speaker 4: Now it seats five people.
• 24:43
  Speaker 4: It's sculpted.
• 24:44
Speaker 4: It's kind of a sculpted car.
• 24:46
Speaker 4: It's one of those.
• 24:47
  Speaker 4: It's not really a hatchback, it's not really a liftback.
• 24:49
Speaker 4: It's got a very sloped back to it.
• 24:51
Speaker 4: But the passenger area the front passengers in particular, they set.
• 24:59
  Speaker 4: It's very tall.
• 25:00
Speaker 4: It's got a lot of headroom in it, so it's kind of a tall car in that regard.
• 25:02
Speaker 4: It's got a great body color, the one we happen to be driving.
• 25:05
Speaker 4: The the door handles were body color.
• 25:07
Speaker 4: It's got black trim all the way around it.
• 25:10
Speaker 4: It's got the thin design led headlighting up front, daytime running lights, taillights, all LEDs.
• 25:18
Speaker 4: Now it does have a manual liftgate on it.
• 25:20
Speaker 4: So that was kind of different concerning the things that we've been driving, but it's no big deal and it does have the new logo up front.
• 25:28
Speaker 4: A lot of people noticed that.
• 25:29
Speaker 4: I'm not really sure why.
• 25:31
Speaker 4: It's basically the same one.
• 25:33
Speaker 4: They changed the coloring, but a lot of people really noticed that we had the 18-inch black aluminum wheels, so it was a nice contrast.
• 25:39
  Speaker 1: The Tri-Shield logo.
• 25:41
Speaker 4: Yes, One thing I did notice.
• 25:44
Speaker 4: I wanted to notice that on we were drooling, like I say, the 18-inch black aluminum wheels.
• 25:48
Speaker 4: The Monroney said we had a compact spare wheel and we had a compact spare tire.
• 25:56
Speaker 4: Two different listings on the sheet.
• 25:58
Speaker 4: I'm not sure why A tire and a wheel, and a wheel.
• 26:01
Speaker 2: I bet you they go together.
• 26:03
Speaker 4: Well, I don't know, but it was kind of unusual to read that they're separate.
• 26:07
Speaker 1: Here's both of them.
• 26:08
  Speaker 1: Put them together.
• 26:09
Speaker 4: You can buy one or the other when you buy the car.
• 26:10
  Speaker 1: That's it Okay.
• 26:15
Speaker 4: Had the leatherette seat seating trim we had.
• 26:16
Speaker 4: The optional front seats were heated.
• 26:17
Speaker 4: The rear seat is a 60 40s folding that folds down, uh, the vent, the monitor that goes across the dash it's actually two, but the way they've got it set up it looks like one 19 inch screen across there.
• 26:29
  Speaker 4: It's 11 inch touchscreen.
• 26:30
Speaker 4: That's got all your nav, your convenience controls, your infotainment system, but the driver out of that has an eight inch driver uh information center right in front of me, but it kind of rolls together across the dash to look like one big one.
• 26:44
Speaker 4: The other thing I noticed about in the technology the.
• 26:46
Speaker 4: It is bluetooth, apple carplay, android, but the bluetooth will connect two devices on bluetooth.
• 26:52
Speaker 4: A lot of cars won't do that.
• 26:53
Speaker 4: So it's, you know, you got your one, that's it.
• 26:56
Speaker 4: This one will do two and it's got front USBs, rear USB charging.
• 27:02
Speaker 4: Only One thing I liked about this particular thing a lot of cars, particularly the last two EVs, I've been driving.
• 27:08
Speaker 4: When I got out of it I came back to it.
• 27:11
Speaker 4: I had to log back in my phone, log back into Apple CarPlay.
• 27:15
Speaker 4: This one, it's still in my pocket.
• 27:19
Speaker 4: I hadn't done anything, I hadn't even backed out of the driveway, and it found it and I thought that was very intuitive on the part of the system.
• 27:25
Speaker 4: Under the hood we had a 1.2 liter turbo, three-cylinder, 137 horsepower, 162 pound-feet of torque, backed by a six-speed automatic transmission.
• 27:36
Speaker 4: Now this vehicle only weighs 3,060 pounds.
• 27:40
Speaker 4: Epa says you should get 28 miles to the gallon in the city, epa 32, combined 30.
• 27:45
Speaker 4: Now I drove 307.5 miles and I got 30 miles per gallon average across that.
• 27:50
Speaker 4: Nice it was really, and there was highway miles included.
• 27:54
Speaker 4: Now I thought to me it had sportier handling than what you might expect from a Buick.
• 28:00
Speaker 4: It's not a race car by any means, but you could drive it Round curves pretty good.
• 28:05
Speaker 4: Felt like you were really driving something.
• 28:07
Speaker 4: It's relatively quiet out on the road.
• 28:09
Speaker 4: Even with a three-cylinder it's got its own little noise to it, but it's nothing you can't live with.
• 28:14
Speaker 4: Just talk to somebody and everything's all good.
• 28:18
Speaker 1: Here's what the motor sounds like hey, don't be dissing it Not quite like that.
• 28:24
  Speaker 2: Yeah, come on.
• 28:25
Speaker 4: But all in all, I was very happy to be driving this vehicle.
• 28:29
  Speaker 4: I'm glad you're happy.
• 28:29
Speaker 2: It's very pleasant to drive.
• 28:30
Speaker 4: Now the base model on this is $23,700.
• 28:34
  Speaker 4: That's amazing.
• 28:35
Speaker 4: Base trim price is $2,400.
• 28:36
Speaker 4: Now, as tested, $2,780.
• 28:42
  Speaker 4: Still Nice.
• 28:42
  Speaker 4: As tested 27,780.
• 28:45
  Speaker 4: Still nice.
• 28:46
  Speaker 4: Now.
• 28:48
Speaker 4: This includes a six-year 70,000-mile roadside assistance warranty and one year of free maintenance on that thing.
• 28:51
Speaker 4: Now you're looking for something to compare it to.
• 28:53
Speaker 4: The Chevrolet Trax starts at about $20,400.
• 28:56
  Speaker 4: Mazda CX-30, $24,995.
• 28:58
Speaker 4: Kia Soul at $22,900.
• 29:00
Speaker 4: But the things that you're going to find in this vehicle, the little bit of technology that it's got, the way it works, the way it drives I was really impressed with this vehicle.
• 29:11
Speaker 4: In fact, I showed it to two of my kids my daughter and one of her granddaughters.
• 29:16
Speaker 4: When you get ready to buy a new car, you need to look at something like this for this price.
• 29:20
Speaker 4: Don't be out here looking at $50,000 cars Straight out of college.
• 29:24
Speaker 1: Yeah, because daddy's going to buy that.
• 29:27
Speaker 4: Yeah, or grandpa Somebody.
• 29:28
Speaker 4: But I thought, you know, I could see this being something that somebody coming out of college, a family just getting started, this would be a car you could buy.
• 29:37
Speaker 4: You could afford to buy it, make the payments and you're going to get a nice vehicle out of it.
• 29:40
Speaker 4: The payments and you're going to get a nice vehicle out of it.
• 29:41
Speaker 4: It's got that Buick level of quality in an SUV or a station wagon, excuse me as your government calls it.
• 29:48
  Speaker 4: I love mine.
• 29:50
Speaker 4: That's my review of the Buick Invista.
• 29:52
Speaker 4: Thank you, look at it, check it out.
