- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, we know that Local Fish show, well, local Fish
- 0:03Speaker 1: shows are certainly very much supportive of the wonderful charity
- 0:08Speaker 1: Max's Cast for a Cure. If you've been listening to
- 0:11Speaker 1: this show for a while, you'll know that we've had
- 0:14Speaker 1: quite a bit to do with both Lincoln and Naomi
- 0:17Speaker 1: Kirby who lost their little fellow Max a while back,
- 0:21Speaker 1: and they have indeed created Max's Cast for a Cure.
- 0:25Speaker 2: It's a wonderful, wonderful charity.
- 0:27Speaker 1: In joining me on the line to tell us a
- 0:29Speaker 1: little bit more is Squizzy Taylor, who you will know
- 0:33Speaker 1: from the MURFHWS Fishing TV series and he's going to
- 0:36Speaker 1: be doing the honors in actually presenting a generous donation
- 0:41Speaker 1: to that amazing charity, Max's Cast for a Curity.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Joins me on the line right now. Good morning to you, Squizzy.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Hello Katy, how are you going?
- 0:49Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 0:49Speaker 1: Good, great to have you on the show. Tell me
- 0:51Speaker 1: a bit more about this donation.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Thanks for having us ill. Look, how good is it
- 0:56Speaker 3: the Cast for a Cure for Max? I made a
- 0:59Speaker 3: mind sitting around the table here and he was going
- 1:01Speaker 3: through the through the Murvy Fishing Facebook page and we
- 1:05Speaker 3: saw that we did some work with the cast for
- 1:08Speaker 3: Max and he works for a company called l Trad
- 1:11Speaker 3: who worked through impacts Johnny's I'm going to say later Johnny.
- 1:14Speaker 3: And he said they raised money every month for a
- 1:18Speaker 3: different charity in Darwin. And he said, would you, uh,
- 1:21Speaker 3: would would be interested in a five thousand dollars check
- 1:24Speaker 3: for a cure for them for the taf for mats.
- 1:27Speaker 3: No worries, mate, So how good was that? So we've
- 1:29Speaker 3: got the we've got the presentation to night at the
- 1:31Speaker 3: Parlatan Game Fishing Club and they're going to turn up
- 1:34Speaker 3: with the big check and and it all goes to
- 1:36Speaker 3: the you know, the brain research answer for to help
- 1:40Speaker 3: out young Max. You young Max Love Love is fishing.
- 1:43Speaker 3: But yeah, look it's just it's just a it's a
- 1:46Speaker 3: great larity and the money goes to where it's meant
- 1:48Speaker 3: to go. And the fishing industry and the local businesses
- 1:52Speaker 3: have just been terrific. As you know, He's just given
- 1:54Speaker 3: so much money and so much time. They raised the
- 1:57Speaker 3: raised on hundred and fifty thousand before before the last
- 2:00Speaker 3: fishing companies.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I can't remember exactly how much it was, but you know,
- 2:03Speaker 1: like I think the thing is everybody has just really
- 2:06Speaker 1: wanted to, you know, to support Max's cars for a kill,
- 2:09Speaker 1: because little Max was all he was a lovely little
- 2:12Speaker 1: bloke and his parents are absolutely incredible. They're such a
- 2:17Speaker 1: beautiful couple and such a beautiful family. So I'm not
- 2:21Speaker 1: surprised that everybody is still getting behind getting behind them
- 2:25Speaker 1: and supporting this fantastic charity that they've created. So tell me, Againstquizzy,
- 2:31Speaker 1: exactly how much money is that.
- 2:34Speaker 3: It's a check for five thousand dollars from this company,
- 2:37Speaker 3: this company Ultrad that they do work for impacts. And
- 2:40Speaker 3: what happens is they raise money through their safety issues.
- 2:44Speaker 3: You know, they don't have a safety problem or a
- 2:46Speaker 3: sick day or whatever it is. That that money accumulates
- 2:49Speaker 3: and they give it to a charity every month.
- 2:52Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 2:53Speaker 3: I think. I think the next to their next charity
- 2:55Speaker 3: after this is the Parmersan Boxing Club. Yeah, the young
- 2:58Speaker 3: kids at a party hanging up a bit of boxing,
- 3:00Speaker 3: but they do it all the time. To be honest
- 3:02Speaker 3: with the darling, I had no idea, ah, and now
- 3:05Speaker 3: I found it, and now I found out about it.
- 3:06Speaker 3: It's just so good and just lovely people. You know,
- 3:08Speaker 3: we talked to as I said, Johnny and Steve. Yeah,
- 3:14Speaker 3: it was Naomi and Nami doing the press release for
- 3:17Speaker 3: NC News on the weekend, which is which is just
- 3:19Speaker 3: more exposed exposing for it and as I said, it
- 3:21Speaker 3: just it just goes to a good cause.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Absolutely, Well, what wonderful, what a wonderful good news story
- 3:27Speaker 1: for us to hear today.

- 3:31Speaker 3: It's has six thirty and at Parmatan Game Fishing Club
- 3:35Speaker 3: And that's that's gonna be my first visit out there
- 3:37Speaker 3: that before. They sounds terrific. They've got a couple of
- 3:39Speaker 3: couple of cold ones on the bar and we're gonna
- 3:41Speaker 3: have a few photos and with the check and have
- 3:44Speaker 3: a laugh on the joke. So it'll all be good.
- 3:46Speaker 3: And I'm actually looking for I'm actually looking forward to it.
- 3:48Speaker 3: It's just it's just a good story.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Isn't it.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it really really is.
- 3:52Speaker 1: And you know, the last time I went out there
- 3:54Speaker 1: to the Palveston Game Fishing Club was actually after they'd
- 3:57Speaker 1: had the fishing competition for Max's Cars for a You
- 4:00Speaker 1: should have seen it, Squizzy. It was absolutely packed in there, mate.
- 4:04Speaker 1: It was so wonderful to see everybody really getting behind
- 4:08Speaker 1: Max's cart for a cure and supporting what is a wonderful,
- 4:11Speaker 1: wonderful charity.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Well, I'm meeting up with Megan the bush Choks. He's
- 4:15Speaker 3: going to be out there. And now listen, there's a
- 4:17Speaker 3: bit of a whisper out there that they said this
- 4:19Speaker 3: Katie Wolf knows who this million dollar fish is.
- 4:20Speaker 2: That I wish, mate, I wish you go on around.
- 4:26Speaker 3: You've got an inside, inside, inside word.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I got no idea, Squizzy, I got no idea. I
- 4:33Speaker 1: don't even know how to fish properly.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Mate.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Someone's going to have to teach me. So I've got
- 4:37Speaker 1: no chance of knowing whether the million dollar fishes or.
- 4:40Speaker 2: How to catch it.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Just throw one of those readies lures on and throw
- 4:44Speaker 3: it behind the boat. You every cand there off this

- 5:18Speaker 1: It'd be so good to be amazing though as well
- 5:21Speaker 1: for Northern Territory tourism and for the industry, wouldn't it.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Like everybody already knows that we have this wonderful fishing competition,
- 5:28Speaker 1: but if someone caught the million dollar fish, it would
- 5:30Speaker 1: just go worldwide.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Well, I can assure people it's out there. We released
- 5:35Speaker 3: a few, but when we do, when we do shows
- 5:38Speaker 3: around Australia, nerve.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:40Speaker 3: The first thing they asked about is his cricket, is
- 5:42Speaker 3: his quicker career. The second thing is the million dollar
- 5:44Speaker 3: fish in the Long Territory. Like nothing that they're the
