- 0:25Speaker 3: WCHS the Voice of Charles, and it's Wednesday. That means
- 0:28Speaker 3: it's time for Larry Dawson. Larry Dawson is here. He
- 0:30Speaker 3: still buys cars, and he's here this morning. You give

- 0:37Speaker 3: the show as well. Three zero four non three five
- 0:39Speaker 3: five zeros your eight Lary?
- 0:40Speaker 2: How you doing man? Happy New Year?
- 0:41Speaker 4: Happy New Year?
- 0:42Speaker 3: How you I'm okay man, it's uh twenty twenty six. Yes,
- 0:46Speaker 3: doesn't feel much different than twenty twenty five. Honestly, seems
- 0:49Speaker 3: like just a continuation.
- 0:51Speaker 5: Well, you know the last two years during this week
- 0:56Speaker 5: we've had significant amounts.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right.
- 0:58Speaker 4: I going or.
- 1:00Speaker 5: January fifteenth, which is today the fourteenth, I believe it is. Yes, okay, Well,
- 1:05Speaker 5: tomorrow is the day that I sold to this dealership
- 1:09Speaker 5: to Stevens and decided to take early retirement and do
- 1:13Speaker 5: my thing and semi retire so to speak, and designate
- 1:17Speaker 5: on just buying cars. But I remember when we went
- 1:21Speaker 5: to closing, we come out of mister Peyton's office, it
- 1:24Speaker 5: was dropping golf balls of snow.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 1:27Speaker 5: And then last year I spent this week of my birthday,
- 1:31Speaker 5: which is the twelfth, is on my tractor shoveling snow.
- 1:36Speaker 5: So right now I've got ambitions to go to Florida.
- 1:39Speaker 5: It looks like the weather is going to break in
- 1:41Speaker 5: Florida the latter part of next week. It's been cool
- 1:44Speaker 5: down there, and it's no fun to go down there
- 1:47Speaker 5: when it's sixty and windy.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Yeah right.
- 1:49Speaker 3: I mean you can get that pretty much anywhere. If
- 1:51Speaker 3: you're going to go to Florida, you want as well experience.
- 1:53Speaker 5: Got yesterday that it was a nice day. It was,
- 1:56Speaker 5: it was, it was a nice day. But enough about that.
- 2:00Speaker 5: I've just been out buying cars. Actually it's there's been
- 2:04Speaker 5: an uptick for whatever reason. And I think the reason
- 2:08Speaker 5: is now that I'm just doing the buying end of
- 2:10Speaker 5: the automobile is referrals. I get a tremendous about referrals.
- 2:15Speaker 5: You know, I don't have digital advertising. I don't you know,
- 2:19Speaker 5: don't I don't have advertising. I have word of mouth.
- 2:22Speaker 5: And not everybody wants their news out there or their
- 2:28Speaker 5: information out there to the world, and I don't share it.
- 2:32Speaker 4: You know.
- 2:33Speaker 5: I was thinking about this this the other day because
- 2:35Speaker 5: I knew the show was coming up, and I try
- 2:37Speaker 5: to think it's something to talk about. I can honestly say,
- 2:41Speaker 5: and there may have been a time, but it escapes
- 2:44Speaker 5: me that I went to a house on a cold
- 2:49Speaker 5: call who it is and I'm not going to bring
- 2:51Speaker 5: it up. But in sports, everybody would know his name.
- 2:55Speaker 5: Oh yeah, sure, so I want to leave his name out.
- 2:57Speaker 5: But I went to his house right before Christmas. He
- 3:00Speaker 5: wanted sells car and contacted me, and I went to
- 3:03Speaker 5: his house, and unfortunately he was unable to fight his title.
- 3:07Speaker 4: And when he bought.
- 3:08Speaker 5: A car, there was a lean and even though he
- 3:11Speaker 5: was mailed the title and heat somewhere in his possessions
- 3:14Speaker 5: probably has the title. If you go back to the
- 3:17Speaker 5: DMV and to get a duplicate title, you just can't
- 3:22Speaker 5: walk in and say, well I paid it off.
- 3:23Speaker 4: They don't know that you have to have.
- 3:26Speaker 5: That lean release, and this lean release was by a
- 3:30Speaker 5: lending company of the manufacturer. So it's not like let's
- 3:34Speaker 5: just walk over here to the local bank, you know,
- 3:36Speaker 5: let me get it. That's normally not the case anymore.
- 3:39Speaker 5: It's it's most loans are produced at car dealerships that
- 3:44Speaker 5: are not local that most dealerships have the finance arm
- 3:48Speaker 5: of the manufacturer with b Ford or Ally or christ
- 3:51Speaker 5: or Nies and whatever may be. But I walked him
- 3:56Speaker 5: through it, and I and he's he's very smart guy.
- 4:00Speaker 5: He owns his own business. Quite an athlete, but he
- 4:05Speaker 5: wasn't wearing that field. So I was in a board
- 4:07Speaker 5: meeting last night and he texted me. He asked me basically, doing.
- 4:11Speaker 4: I need take anything else?
- 4:12Speaker 5: Because we've all been to the d m Oh, yeah, right,
- 4:16Speaker 5: you want to take the cat, You want to show
- 4:18Speaker 5: them you got to get, you want to take them
- 4:19Speaker 5: everything because you don't want to go out there and
- 4:22Speaker 5: have to go get Oh my goodness, the worst feeling
- 4:24Speaker 5: in the world.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Yes, it is.
- 4:25Speaker 5: So, you know, I don't know him that well. He
- 4:28Speaker 5: actually knows my older brother. He's been my younger brother
- 4:32Speaker 5: or my nephew and may know my older brother. But
- 4:36Speaker 5: it was a referral, and that's where I think I sell.
- 4:40Speaker 5: I don't have the road frontage with signs in the
- 4:44Speaker 5: TV and the digital and the tiktalk and all that
- 4:49Speaker 5: saying I want to buy and pay too much money
- 4:51Speaker 5: and send a holler off.
- 4:52Speaker 4: That's not what I do. Man.
- 4:54Speaker 3: If there's so many avenues that goes into and I
- 4:58Speaker 3: don't want to go down too far down cabit hole
- 5:00Speaker 3: that doesn't do what we deal with.
- 5:01Speaker 2: But there's so much out there that has to do.
- 5:03Speaker 3: You mentioned a minute ago about you were talking about
- 5:07Speaker 3: this client who didn't want to get their necessarily have
- 5:09Speaker 3: their name broadcasts everywhere. You know, you don't necessarily want
- 5:12Speaker 3: to have to give your email a bunch of times,
- 5:14Speaker 3: install an app on your phone, et cetera, et cetera,
- 5:16Speaker 3: et cetera. Well, one of the things I made note
- 5:18Speaker 3: of the other day that I wanted to just bring
- 5:19Speaker 3: up because we usually talk about this. Just this month,
- 5:22Speaker 3: So just the other day, a California resident sued Carvana.
- 5:27Speaker 3: The c word sued Carvana. And this is a little
- 5:30Speaker 3: different when we've seen problems in the past. I mean,
- 5:32Speaker 3: there's multiple states that have had issues with the title
- 5:35Speaker 3: selling without proper title We've talked about that before. That's
- 5:37Speaker 3: happened a bunch of times payoff issues that's been you know,
- 5:40Speaker 3: these are all documented things that's been problems with carbon
- 5:42Speaker 3: and this one's a little new one. So now apparently
- 5:44Speaker 3: a California resident is suing Carvana for allegedly embedding tracking
- 5:48Speaker 3: software from Google, Facebook, and the Trade Desk on its website.
- 5:51Speaker 3: The collected users personal data and shared it with third
- 5:54Speaker 3: parties without proper consent amen. So this is I mean,
- 5:58Speaker 3: if you're following anything that's going on with data collection
- 6:02Speaker 3: in this country right now, it is there is no
- 6:06Speaker 3: Fourth Amendment left. Basically we're all exposed to everything and
- 6:11Speaker 3: tracking is available at any given time. It's a little
- 6:13Speaker 3: concerning because we've left this constitutional right kind of slip
- 6:16Speaker 3: by one of the ways you can protect yourself though,
- 6:18Speaker 3: and a lot of people are doing. There is a
- 6:20Speaker 3: huge movement to go away from like digital media. Different
- 6:24Speaker 3: things people are going back to, like MP three players
- 6:27Speaker 3: or CDs and things like that. People were there's a
- 6:29Speaker 3: movement to get away from some of this stuff now.
- 6:32Speaker 3: And I think that you don't have to worry about
- 6:34Speaker 3: it with Larry Dawson because you never went that way
- 6:36Speaker 3: to get messed up with all that detail. So again,
- 6:39Speaker 3: if you're looking to keep your broadcast on low and
- 6:42Speaker 3: you just want to do a professional transaction, you can
- 6:45Speaker 3: call Larry and get that taken care of and not
- 6:47Speaker 3: worry about getting tracking software installed.
- 6:49Speaker 2: On your phone without your consentive.
- 6:51Speaker 4: That's ridiculous.
- 6:52Speaker 5: You know some of the things that we're going to
- 6:53Speaker 5: talk about in the next thirty or forty minutes, if
- 6:56Speaker 5: either one of us I discut texts from one monk
- 7:00Speaker 5: people I work with, but is when you go to
- 7:04Speaker 5: your fake book. If you do, it's going to bring
- 7:07Speaker 5: up those ads. I mean, it's a listening Oh yeah,
- 7:10Speaker 5: for sure. And you know, I just I'm old school.
- 7:15Speaker 5: I like privacy. I live a pretty private life though
- 7:19Speaker 5: I have an expanded family and lots of lots of acquaintances,
- 7:24Speaker 5: and I like to Yesterday I was in a board
- 7:26Speaker 5: meeting and I like to be around people. But my
- 7:30Speaker 5: private my private life, I keep to myself because if
- 7:36Speaker 5: you don't, it becomes an open book and more information
- 7:41Speaker 5: you give the more it's shared. And I've said this
- 7:44Speaker 5: and I'll probably say this, However, the entirety of my
- 7:48Speaker 5: radio journey doing this is I do not solicit people
- 7:56Speaker 5: to sell me their cars. I do not send out
- 8:00Speaker 5: I guess leads and ads and things like that. I'm
- 8:04Speaker 5: based upon my forty years of reference, what I have
- 8:09Speaker 5: done all my life. In eighty seven, I opened up
- 8:11Speaker 5: a little used car lot and took white shoe polish
- 8:14Speaker 5: and wrote, we buy cars. I owned a patent on
- 8:17Speaker 5: we buy cars, you know, the Secretary of State's office.
- 8:20Speaker 4: And look at it.
- 8:21Speaker 5: I'm being infringed upon every day because everybody's got these
- 8:24Speaker 5: signs out we buy cars. I can't take the world on,
- 8:27Speaker 5: but it's my you know, I started this, and there's
- 8:31Speaker 5: a lot of people that's duplicated. And there's people opening
- 8:34Speaker 5: up storefronts now and they're called buying centers. But if
- 8:37Speaker 5: you look after, they've got these sciences of we buy cars. Well,
- 8:40Speaker 5: you're fringing upon me because the coffee right plaque is
- 8:43Speaker 5: laying on my desk and I've had it for seventeen
- 8:46Speaker 5: eighteen years and we'll continue to have. Well where I'm
- 8:50Speaker 5: going with that, that doesn't really matter to me. I've
- 8:53Speaker 5: got references. I had a gentleman called me. I'm not
- 8:57Speaker 5: gonna mention his name, but I really I spent time.
- 9:00Speaker 5: I just went down his family room fire. Going in fireplace,
- 9:03Speaker 5: we said to turn and talk. Probably twenty thirty minutes.
- 9:07Speaker 5: We had some acquaintances that we knew together. He's I
- 9:10Speaker 5: don't know, he's probably eighty ish. He's been a professional
- 9:13Speaker 5: man all his life, financials, and I'm sure he doesn't
- 9:19Speaker 5: want to share all this. And we sit there and talked,
- 9:23Speaker 5: and I walked outside and I said, well, I came
- 9:25Speaker 5: to look the car. Let's go out there. We've got
- 9:27Speaker 5: to know each other. Now you know that I'm safe.
- 9:30Speaker 5: I'm here. You invite me in your house. I'm sitting
- 9:33Speaker 5: in front of your fireplace. So we go outside and
- 9:35Speaker 5: we look and we walk around it and he hands
- 9:37Speaker 5: mean key and I made a couple of comments and
- 9:39Speaker 5: he said yeah, and he bought this car new, and
- 9:43Speaker 5: so I said, well, this is.
- 9:46Speaker 4: My opinion of the car.
- 9:48Speaker 5: If you want to try to steak street sellad, here's
- 9:51Speaker 5: a value evaluation. I think it will break if you
- 9:54Speaker 5: want to turn it into money and not go through
- 9:57Speaker 5: everything that people has to go through. Here is my offer.
- 10:01Speaker 5: And he said, well, I appreciate you coming up, and
- 10:05Speaker 5: we shook hands and I left. I never called him back.
- 10:08Speaker 5: I got in texting back I got inaggravate him. Christmas
- 10:11Speaker 5: was coming up, Wars and New Year's was coming up.
- 10:14Speaker 5: Wars and guess who called me?
- 10:16Speaker 4: He called me.
- 10:18Speaker 5: First of all, he apologized, he said, I've been just
- 10:20Speaker 5: a little ill, he said, some things happened, he said,
- 10:24Speaker 5: but I want to sell you the car. And normally
- 10:27Speaker 5: if you don't hear something in the next seventy two
- 10:29Speaker 5: hours you were in sales, you know, it's probably a
- 10:32Speaker 5: dead one. You know, he's took my opinion and my
- 10:35Speaker 5: advice and he's going after the other thing.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Every sales manager ever worked for it would tell me, though,
- 10:39Speaker 3: to pick up that phone and I won't say harassed,
- 10:41Speaker 3: but to remind that person that you had an offer
- 10:44Speaker 3: on the table.
- 10:45Speaker 5: I started to but I'm kind of an old school
- 10:49Speaker 5: and I'm semi retired, and I give people. I think
- 10:52Speaker 5: that's I'm taking the opposin approach. We are being bombarded
- 10:57Speaker 5: in every add everything you can do. I mean, it
- 11:01Speaker 5: is amazing. Anytime you turn around, if you talk, it's
- 11:05Speaker 5: on your phone.
- 11:06Speaker 4: You know.
- 11:06Speaker 5: If if the mailers the TikTok, and I don't do TikTok.
- 11:10Speaker 4: I can barely spell TikTok.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gotten off all that stuff. I don't engage anyone.
- 11:14Speaker 4: I've never got in to get off. I'm not a Twitter,
- 11:17Speaker 4: I'm not an X, I'm none of that.
- 11:20Speaker 2: You're better for it. It's all right.
- 11:21Speaker 5: I do have a Facebook that I started back in
- 11:24Speaker 5: eight when it started. It does have if I use
- 11:27Speaker 5: it as a phone book.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Yeah for sure. Yeah.
- 11:28Speaker 5: Actually I'm going to call guy on a piece of
- 11:31Speaker 5: real estate and I'm going to go through fakebook. I
- 11:34Speaker 5: know them and to make my introduction. I just don't
- 11:36Speaker 5: have this numb So that's what I use for. Other
- 11:39Speaker 5: than that and my business. I have property at least
- 11:42Speaker 5: I just put one on yesterday. But to get on
- 11:45Speaker 5: here and scroll and scroll and scroll, I just don't
- 11:48Speaker 5: do that. But going back to the gentleman, I the
- 11:51Speaker 5: old Larry wanted to pick up phone or text or
- 11:55Speaker 5: say hey, I'm just touching base. But I didn't, and
- 11:57Speaker 5: it came to me. So I finally asked, and I said,
- 12:00Speaker 5: how did you find out about me? He said, well,
- 12:04Speaker 5: actually I was in the service department getting some service done,
- 12:09Speaker 5: and I mentioned to the gentleman that I was going
- 12:14Speaker 5: to sell my car, and I guess said, you call
- 12:16Speaker 5: Larry Dawes and he said, he even looked your number
- 12:19Speaker 5: up for me, and and I'm very appreciative of that.
- 12:24Speaker 5: But those receieds I planted, and I think I might
- 12:27Speaker 5: know who this person is. I'm not real sure he
- 12:30Speaker 5: could remember the guy's name, but I know what store
- 12:33Speaker 5: it was. But that's very often that happens to me.
- 12:37Speaker 3: I mean, I got to tell you, there is so
- 12:38Speaker 3: few interactions like if somebody other than cars, because I
- 12:42Speaker 3: would do the same thing if somebody asked me about that.
- 12:44Speaker 3: There are so few people on a professional capacity that
- 12:47Speaker 3: I trust to that level where if I was engaged
- 12:49Speaker 3: with somebody that I would go out of my way
- 12:51Speaker 3: to make that referral, be like, oh, I know the
- 12:53Speaker 3: exact person you need to talk to. Let me take
- 12:55Speaker 3: a moment out of my time and put my reputation
- 12:58Speaker 3: on the line to give you information for somebody who
- 13:00Speaker 3: I think will help you out. I know so few
- 13:02Speaker 3: people that I would actually do that for.
- 13:04Speaker 5: I am very cautious about referring. Once again, I owned
- 13:08Speaker 5: a few pieces of property. You know, there's always somebody said, Hey,
- 13:12Speaker 5: I'm at my toilet's leak, and you got somebody, you
- 13:14Speaker 5: got somebody. I just don't refer anymore. I just don't
- 13:19Speaker 5: refer now. My little brother is very good and matter
- 13:22Speaker 5: of fact, New Year's Day, I had a ten at
- 13:24Speaker 5: send me a video, and I'm very thankful. Christian, if
- 13:28Speaker 5: you're listening. There was a little water puddle that formed
- 13:31Speaker 5: around her commode in one of the buildings, and I
- 13:36Speaker 5: assumed it was a wax ring. It was a new remodel.
- 13:38Speaker 5: We just did this, not maybe eighteen months ago. You
- 13:41Speaker 5: know those wax rings. Yeah, And I thought, well the
- 13:43Speaker 5: bulls he tightened out. So I text my little brother
- 13:46Speaker 5: and said, hey, you want to help me do a
- 13:47Speaker 5: wax ring tomorrow? And he said, I'm bored. Let's do
- 13:51Speaker 5: it right now. I happen to have one, So off
- 13:55Speaker 5: we go. We go over to Nitro Energy and Wellness
- 13:58Speaker 5: and at four twenty first Avenue and has got great drinks.
- 14:01Speaker 5: So there's your plug, Christian, and we went in. We'll
- 14:04Speaker 5: come to find out it wasn't a wife's ring. They
- 14:07Speaker 5: have new paping outs of plastic I think they called pecks,
- 14:11Speaker 5: and the clamp for the for the service line was
- 14:15Speaker 5: just barely dripping and it was running down the bolding
- 14:19Speaker 5: and out in the floor. And this is vinyl plank
- 14:21Speaker 5: floor was running across their Well, that's just.
- 14:24Speaker 4: No matter lifting commode.
- 14:25Speaker 5: That's called you. You got to catch the wall. So
- 14:28Speaker 5: back to red house, to my brother's house we go.
- 14:31Speaker 5: He's got all the stuff, he's he's mister, he's mcguyver,
- 14:34Speaker 5: he's mister fix it. I'm just a guy that carries
- 14:36Speaker 5: the toolbox and we cut sheet rock. Well, you know,
- 14:41Speaker 5: and he's not a sheet rock guy. So I called
- 14:43Speaker 5: one of my old guys I've sold a dozen cars
- 14:46Speaker 5: to on New Year's Day and I said, hey, Verne,
- 14:50Speaker 5: we got plans to borrow. And he said, what do
- 14:52Speaker 5: you need, Larry? And I told him, he said, I'll
- 14:54Speaker 5: be there. That's how I've operated.
- 14:57Speaker 4: I don't you know.
- 14:59Speaker 5: It's referenced and people I have done business with. And
- 15:03Speaker 5: now that I'm kind of the older guy, the guy's
- 15:05Speaker 5: not out here in the selling game that you feel
- 15:08Speaker 5: pressured if you ask me a question that you know
- 15:11Speaker 5: you feel obligated. Now I'm getting these calls. I got
- 15:14Speaker 5: one and taxed the other day. They're getting ready by
- 15:17Speaker 5: a car, sent me the ven number to ask me
- 15:19Speaker 5: if they thought this was a good car in the
- 15:22Speaker 5: pricing all that and as she screenshot it on a
- 15:26Speaker 5: wet windshield. Why I can't make out the five between
- 15:28Speaker 5: the B. You know, you gotta give me more on
- 15:32Speaker 5: this than a wet windshield.
- 15:34Speaker 4: But that's okay.
- 15:36Speaker 5: You know, I'm sitting there in the leisure my lazy
- 15:38Speaker 5: boy fireplace on watching TV, helping people, and it's a
- 15:45Speaker 5: good semi retirement. I sold my roll back the other
- 15:48Speaker 5: day to a young man. I actually bought a building
- 15:53Speaker 5: that I used to own that I bought and I
- 15:55Speaker 5: sold it to a gentleman and put him in the
- 15:57Speaker 5: service business. And he and I guess I didn't realize it.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Gosh, tell my.
- 16:02Speaker 5: Age, because he paid me off. And I guess he
- 16:06Speaker 5: got to the point he thought, what it's time for
- 16:08Speaker 5: me to retire. So he says it to this other
- 16:10Speaker 5: fellow that's younger than us, and I decided I had
- 16:14Speaker 5: a really nice rowback that I bought, knw just sitting
- 16:17Speaker 5: in one of my buildings that I thought it's time
- 16:19Speaker 5: to sell it.
- 16:20Speaker 4: I think I put like two hundred miles on last year.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Wow.
- 16:23Speaker 4: I mean, I just don't use it because I'm not
- 16:25Speaker 4: doing that.
- 16:25Speaker 5: So I'm glad that I'm going to I took a
- 16:29Speaker 5: very nice Everybody knew that rollback because it was a
- 16:32Speaker 5: very four door. It's a four door and that's rare
- 16:36Speaker 5: red and it had been kept inside its entire life.
- 16:39Speaker 5: And so now I know that a guy just one
- 16:42Speaker 5: street over has it. And I said to him, I said, now,
- 16:46Speaker 5: if I ever need a toe or if I'm down,
- 16:50Speaker 5: because I would use it really more for my farm,
- 16:52Speaker 5: you know, maybe haul of the bobcat down there or something.
- 16:55Speaker 5: And you know, now that's gone, I thinking, well, I
- 16:59Speaker 5: don't have it no more.
- 17:00Speaker 2: He might need it.
- 17:01Speaker 4: Now I might need it, but I know the guy
- 17:03Speaker 4: sold it to.
- 17:04Speaker 5: And I'm glad I sold it to the guy sold
- 17:06Speaker 5: it to because he's going to start a little towing
- 17:08Speaker 5: business incorporated in his service department.
- 17:12Speaker 4: Good move. And it's funny thing I really do not know.
- 17:15Speaker 4: I did not know him. I knew his name, and
- 17:18Speaker 4: I knew.
- 17:19Speaker 5: He was in a building actually one block over. He's
- 17:22Speaker 5: over in Maine. I'm on first, which is should be
- 17:25Speaker 5: the opposite, because we should be made they should be first.
- 17:29Speaker 5: But we thought it's around twenty five. And when he
- 17:32Speaker 5: came up, I mean, he talked to me like he
- 17:34Speaker 5: knew me. And most people do you know, they kind
- 17:36Speaker 5: of know the name I've been around for a while.
- 17:38Speaker 5: We hit it off this real good. And he texted
- 17:42Speaker 5: me and he said, I'm going to come up. Actually
- 17:46Speaker 5: Facebook messaged me and he says, I'm going to come
- 17:49Speaker 5: up and look at your roll robike because I.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Won't buy it.
- 17:53Speaker 5: Okay, this guy, you know, I guess I probably do
- 17:57Speaker 5: have the potential buyer. And we walked around and I
- 18:00Speaker 5: showed him and he knew more about rollback than I did,
- 18:03Speaker 5: and yeah, I've owned it for a long time.
- 18:05Speaker 4: I've just drove it. I don't know. I'm not a mechanic.
- 18:09Speaker 5: And I told him, I said, now there's this lights
- 18:12Speaker 5: came on and let me tell you and Mike or
- 18:15Speaker 5: Greg Taylor fixed and I tried to give him a
- 18:18Speaker 5: history on it. And he never drove it. He never
- 18:22Speaker 5: asked me. I pulled it out and then he left.
- 18:26Speaker 5: Well next day he called me said got your bunny.
- 18:29Speaker 5: I said, well, let me get there. I got to
- 18:32Speaker 5: get stuff out of it. You know, I've got years
- 18:34Speaker 5: of just whatever you put in global departments since there.
- 18:38Speaker 4: And I said, now, if you.
- 18:38Speaker 5: Find anything, it belongs to me, you know. Can I
- 18:42Speaker 5: tell you a funny story? Of course, this is a
- 18:44Speaker 5: funny story.
- 18:45Speaker 4: And so I will.
- 18:47Speaker 5: I've got a Dnali that I bought new. It's sitting
- 18:50Speaker 5: over on Thursday. Now I'm a man.
- 18:53Speaker 4: Okay.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Kim and her daughter and her grandchildren were going to
- 18:57Speaker 5: Myrtle Beach and I let him use by Danali because
- 19:00Speaker 5: it's a three row. Well, a couple of years back,
- 19:04Speaker 5: when I think I turned sixty as a joke, somebody
- 19:08Speaker 5: got me a sleeve of vagra. There's a joke, give
- 19:11Speaker 5: it to me, I thought in the glove department. Never
- 19:14Speaker 5: thought nothing about it. Well, the next year or like,
- 19:18Speaker 5: I don't know, two years later, they're going to Myrtle Beach.
- 19:20Speaker 5: Now you've got my fiancee and her daughter and the
- 19:25Speaker 5: kids I call my grandkids. Somebody needs a napkin. Kim says, well,
- 19:29Speaker 5: I'm sure Larry's got one in the glove department. Oh, Jenny,
- 19:34Speaker 5: she said, Mom, So what I'm going with this was
- 19:38Speaker 5: cleaning out the car.
- 19:40Speaker 4: You don't know what you leave.
- 19:43Speaker 5: And so she looked at that. She said, well, how
- 19:47Speaker 5: may's missing? She said, well, they're all full, and she said,
- 19:49Speaker 5: and we're good. But I remembered at a birthday party,
- 19:54Speaker 5: is a joke somebody handed me when I.
- 19:56Speaker 4: Just threw it in there, never thought much of it.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 19:59Speaker 5: Two years later, I think they're still out there, and
- 20:02Speaker 5: I do. It's a it's a running joke down in
- 20:04Speaker 5: the family. So I tell people, I said, when you
- 20:06Speaker 5: go to trade your car in or sell, you might
- 20:09Speaker 5: want to go through your glove department. There might be something,
- 20:12Speaker 5: you know, it's a little bit more personal than what.
- 20:14Speaker 2: She You wouldn't believe.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Back when I did the rental car business, just when
- 20:17Speaker 3: people would have a car for a weekend or something,
- 20:20Speaker 3: the stuff that they would forget and be like, you
- 20:23Speaker 3: really want this out on when people to see I mean,
- 20:26Speaker 3: there would be stuff and you would have to call
- 20:28Speaker 3: them and tell them they left personal effects in the
- 20:30Speaker 3: car or whatever. And so you have this thing here
- 20:34Speaker 3: that you might want to come pick.
- 20:37Speaker 5: The most left behind the item that I in all
- 20:40Speaker 5: my years is garage or rutners and saying, oh, for sure, Yeah,
- 20:43Speaker 5: I guess when I bought this gentleman's car that I
- 20:46Speaker 5: was speaking of, and I went to his house, it
- 20:48Speaker 5: was it was cold and the boats had been in her.
- 20:55Speaker 4: This is a gentleman I'm buying a car from. He
- 20:58Speaker 4: just goes lean release.
- 20:59Speaker 2: So there we go way.
- 21:00Speaker 4: We didn't have it.
- 21:02Speaker 5: They were kind of froze in there, and I said,
- 21:04Speaker 5: don't worry about it.
- 21:05Speaker 4: I'll take it back.
- 21:06Speaker 5: I'll get those plates off there and i'll bring them
- 21:08Speaker 5: to you.
- 21:09Speaker 4: And the next day I pulled up.
- 21:11Speaker 5: I mean I made so I made three trips there,
- 21:13Speaker 5: one to look, one to get, and one to take
- 21:15Speaker 5: his license plate back, put it in his glove box
- 21:19Speaker 5: and called him or yeah, I called him and I said, hey,
- 21:22Speaker 5: you're you're in your in your mailbox is.
- 21:27Speaker 4: Your license plate.
- 21:29Speaker 5: I don't know who else would have done that. You
- 21:32Speaker 5: know that the plates because the bolts was worn, they
- 21:35Speaker 5: were rather difficult to get off, and I think they
- 21:38Speaker 5: were expired or almost expired, but they were his. And
- 21:42Speaker 5: I told him i'd do something, and so I did it.
- 21:45Speaker 5: I made another trip up in South Hills and wound
- 21:48Speaker 5: around and you know, I didn't go up to knock
- 21:50Speaker 5: on the door. I was putting this mailbox and called
- 21:52Speaker 5: him that it's in your mailbox. And I'm hoping at
- 21:56Speaker 5: his age that there's other people that, you know, said
- 21:59Speaker 5: it's time for me to sell my car. He I
- 22:01Speaker 5: think he had two or three cars and he was
- 22:03Speaker 5: just downsizing and word of mouth, and that's what I
- 22:08Speaker 5: strive for, and that's why I'll go the extra Month's
- 22:11Speaker 5: why I'll come to your house. Matter of fact, I
- 22:14Speaker 5: probably go to more people's houses than they ever come
- 22:16Speaker 5: to me. And I said, make it easier on you.
- 22:19Speaker 5: They feel comfortable, they're in their own environment. We can
- 22:22Speaker 5: sit there and talk. But honestly, Dale, I was thinking
- 22:25Speaker 5: about this the other day. I do not ever remember
- 22:29Speaker 5: going to someone's house that we've had conversation, that we
- 22:33Speaker 5: felt each other out, and I kind of know what
- 22:35Speaker 5: you want and expect out of your car and what
- 22:37Speaker 5: you have that I did not go there that I
- 22:40Speaker 5: didn't buy the car. Wow, Now I may have laughed
- 22:43Speaker 5: like this gentleman here, the sports guy, we're not gonna
- 22:46Speaker 5: mention his name. He couldn't fine his title and it
- 22:48Speaker 5: was Christmas New Year's and the mail slow da.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Da and he had to be walked through it.
- 22:54Speaker 5: But he's texted me, text me yesterday and he just
- 22:56Speaker 5: text me he's got to lean it really so we'll.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Have a title age.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Yeah, but if he in.
- 23:03Speaker 5: His sports world, he's looking in the car world, I
- 23:07Speaker 5: kind of know a lot, that's right. Yeah, we shared
- 23:09Speaker 5: information there, but I did tell him. I said, I
- 23:13Speaker 5: need a few lessons on that golf.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Hey, let's do this. Let's take a break. We when
- 23:18Speaker 3: we have come back, we have plenty more we to

- 24:59Speaker 3: You're listening to us the expert wchs. The voice for
- 25:01Speaker 3: Charles and the experts here today is Larry Dawson. He
- 25:04Speaker 3: still buys cars he can go to call this morning.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Threees are A four, three, four, five fifty eight fifty eight.
- 25:07Speaker 3: If you want to talk to Larry, threes are A
- 25:08Speaker 3: four three four five fifty eight fifty eight. You can
- 25:10Speaker 3: also call Larryot's directly on his cell phone number. That's
- 25:13Speaker 3: threes are A four five four five zero two one
- 25:15Speaker 3: one three zer A four five four five zero two
- 25:17Speaker 3: one one not during the show, though, not during the show,
- 25:19Speaker 3: that would be rude.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Text me you get taxt, I'll call you back a
- 25:21Speaker 2: little bit later on.
- 25:22Speaker 5: That's one thing that I have. And this was stopped
- 25:26Speaker 5: since if you get a telephone call and you're not
- 25:30Speaker 5: sure about that number, because I normally will not answer
- 25:33Speaker 5: if the listener programm didn't I so I'll just turn
- 25:37Speaker 5: What I do is I'll text. I'm on the other line,
- 25:41Speaker 5: text me what you need. If you don't get a text,
- 25:45Speaker 5: it's a scam. Yeah, well they're fishy. Yeah, they don't
- 25:49Speaker 5: know me. They don't want me to come and buy
- 25:52Speaker 5: their car. They're wanting to sell me or hook me
- 25:54Speaker 5: up or link me up. And so I have started
- 25:57Speaker 5: doing that. I'm sure somewhere in there I can this
- 26:00Speaker 5: phone do that automatically by maybe pushing.
- 26:03Speaker 4: But I don't know.
- 26:04Speaker 5: I'm old school. But if I do not recognize that number.
- 26:07Speaker 5: So that's what I shared with people. As I'm out
- 26:10Speaker 5: looking for cars, I said, text me, I did, I've
- 26:14Speaker 5: got a piece of land that I put out yesterday
- 26:17Speaker 5: to lease and my information, I said, text me, I'll
- 26:23Speaker 5: call you back, And that way I kind of got
- 26:26Speaker 5: a grip warn who it is, because if they do
- 26:31Speaker 5: not follow the directions of this texting and then the
- 26:35Speaker 5: repetitive call, then it's probably not what.
- 26:40Speaker 4: I don't have what they need. They're fishing. You know.
- 26:42Speaker 3: It's something I did by accident a couple of years ago,
- 26:44Speaker 3: and now I kind of do it on purpose because
- 26:46Speaker 3: it gives me a leg up on seeing who's using
- 26:48Speaker 3: like algorithms get ahold of me. I accidentally put my
- 26:51Speaker 3: first and middle name in the first name box of
- 26:54Speaker 3: a service I signed up for. This was years ago,
- 26:57Speaker 3: and then I noticed that I started getting not only
- 26:59Speaker 3: stuff from that company, which I sort of expected. And
- 27:01Speaker 3: you know, you sign up for something and you get
- 27:03Speaker 3: solicitation emails, Hey don't forget about this service, which is fine.
- 27:06Speaker 3: I mean, I knew that I was going to get that,
- 27:07Speaker 3: but I started getting other solicitations and messages left on
- 27:12Speaker 3: my like a voicemail that I didn't recognize or a
- 27:14Speaker 3: call I didn't recognize that. I bumped the voicemail and
- 27:16Speaker 3: there would be a message that was left for it.
- 27:17Speaker 3: I go back and listen to the message, and it
- 27:19Speaker 3: was obvious to me that the message was like an
- 27:21Speaker 3: AI voice that was leaving the message. But the name
- 27:23Speaker 3: that it was asking for was my first in my
- 27:26Speaker 3: middle name, and I don't go by my first and
- 27:28Speaker 3: middle name. I go by my middle name. How many
- 27:30Speaker 3: people know my first name even and certainly no companies
- 27:33Speaker 3: will call me and call me by my first and
- 27:34Speaker 3: middle name.
- 27:35Speaker 2: And so that gave me a clue.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Back then, It's like, you know what if I like
- 27:39Speaker 3: use weird ways to put my name into the name field,
- 27:42Speaker 3: as long as it's still egal, you know, because that's
- 27:43Speaker 3: still my name. It's just I put the two names
- 27:45Speaker 3: in the one field. I think that would give me
- 27:47Speaker 3: a leg up on knowing, like when something was like
- 27:49Speaker 3: spam or whatever. And sure enough, Man, I get so
- 27:51Speaker 3: much stuff now because I do that with a lot
- 27:53Speaker 3: of things I signed up for. I get so much
- 27:55Speaker 3: stuff with my first and middle name. And like the
- 27:58Speaker 3: salutation like greening was first in middle name, was like, man,
- 28:01Speaker 3: I know that this is not only do I know
- 28:03Speaker 3: this is spam, I know who sold the information. For
- 28:06Speaker 3: the most part, it's crazy how this stuff is out there,
- 28:09Speaker 3: and now it's so customized with you got the AI
- 28:12Speaker 3: and everything else. You know, they'll they'll leave you AI
- 28:14Speaker 3: messages with your names like Larry, this is so and so,
- 28:17Speaker 3: please give me a call back about And it's just
- 28:18Speaker 3: a computer, you know, it's not even a person leaving
- 28:20Speaker 3: those messages. So if you do a little bit something
- 28:22Speaker 3: a little funky with your name where they accidentally will
- 28:25Speaker 3: say that part of it, it gives you an idea is like,
- 28:27Speaker 3: this is somebody that doesn't know me and is just
- 28:29Speaker 3: reading off of like some third party seller information.
- 28:32Speaker 5: I have bought and sold a few your employee's cars,
- 28:37Speaker 5: and one of them you one of your old long,
- 28:41Speaker 5: long long employees.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Here.
- 28:42Speaker 5: I bought his truck a few years ago. Why I
- 28:45Speaker 5: had to check made out to the name.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, there's a lot of people in this
- 28:49Speaker 3: building that that would work for.
- 28:51Speaker 5: And he called me. Oh, I forgot to tell you.
- 28:55Speaker 5: And Charlie Cooper. I sold Charlie and I miss Charlie.
- 29:00Speaker 5: He when we went in to do it, he says,
- 29:04Speaker 5: Erry here's my real name.
- 29:08Speaker 2: So he was.
- 29:10Speaker 5: He would Charlie Cooper when I would see him in
- 29:13Speaker 5: this building or over at do wop, and we might
- 29:17Speaker 5: go six months to a year. He always thanked me
- 29:21Speaker 5: for selling him that car.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Oh was that right?
- 29:24Speaker 5: When he came to me and when he needed a car,
- 29:26Speaker 5: I'd traded for a really nice Nissan and it was
- 29:30Speaker 5: out by before. We're prep getting read be in a
- 29:34Speaker 5: staging area and I said, come here, Charlie. I got
- 29:39Speaker 5: the vehicle and I walk him around. Well, you know,
- 29:41Speaker 5: it's kind of like you just get out of bed.
- 29:44Speaker 5: That's what the car looks like. You know, you haven't grooms,
- 29:47Speaker 5: you havn't combed your hair, you haven't shired, and but
- 29:48Speaker 5: you know that's what a trade in looks like. You
- 29:50Speaker 5: try not to show those cars. You want them to
- 29:53Speaker 5: go through the beauty spa treatment first. And I said,
- 29:58Speaker 5: give me a day and you can. I believe this
- 30:01Speaker 5: is the car he loved a car.
- 30:03Speaker 2: I mean, we.
- 30:05Speaker 5: Lost Charlie. He's still in the car. But uh, that's
- 30:09Speaker 5: what you know. Once again, I'm not in the selling
- 30:11Speaker 5: game now in a buying game, but I approach it
- 30:13Speaker 5: the same way. I mean, I'm going to get to
- 30:15Speaker 5: know you, and you're going to get to know me,
- 30:17Speaker 5: because first of all, I like for some references, you know,
- 30:21Speaker 5: because everybody has their own circle. The gentleman called me.
- 30:25Speaker 5: He text me, I think I don't know. One day
- 30:28Speaker 5: last week I sold him a truck, actually the first
- 30:32Speaker 5: truck we sold when we opened up after COVID. And
- 30:35Speaker 5: his mother was my second grade school teacher. Okay, and
- 30:39Speaker 5: I hadn't see him in forty years. We made a
- 30:42Speaker 5: deal and I, you know, I don't see him but
- 30:44Speaker 5: maybe once a year. He's more of an older my
- 30:47Speaker 5: older brother's buddy. They hunt together.
- 30:49Speaker 4: Long story short. He texted me he said, I'm.
- 30:51Speaker 5: Thinking about selling my suber Rude, and I said, we'll
- 30:54Speaker 5: send me the ven number in the mileage and we'll.
- 30:56Speaker 4: Talk about it, text about it.
- 30:58Speaker 5: So we've text him back and forth, and I gave
- 31:02Speaker 5: him some figures at least my evaluation dayviol yesterday, I
- 31:07Speaker 5: went to Putnam County back and I had to go
- 31:08Speaker 5: back in my safety to pause the box. Walked back
- 31:11Speaker 5: and said, I'm Larry Dawson. I said, I need to
- 31:13Speaker 5: get in this box. She said, you're talking to my
- 31:15Speaker 5: husband about the subaru.
- 31:18Speaker 4: I said, so.
- 31:19Speaker 5: You're such and such wife and he said yes. I said, well,
- 31:22Speaker 5: my pleasure to meet you. And she said, you know
- 31:25Speaker 5: he talks about you and I said, well, his mother
- 31:27Speaker 5: was my second gradest school teacher. That's the world I'm in.
- 31:31Speaker 5: I'm not into this.
- 31:33Speaker 4: Don't know you.
- 31:33Speaker 5: I'll never see again. You're speaking with broken English. Actually,
- 31:39Speaker 5: about two weeks ago, I inquired about a project online
- 31:42Speaker 5: and kind of made a commitment to buy, and they
- 31:47Speaker 5: transferred me over to Bangladesh. I couldn't understand him, and
- 31:53Speaker 5: I could hear all this noise in the background, and
- 31:56Speaker 5: I said, you know what I'm going to cancel or
- 32:00Speaker 5: does And I said.
- 32:00Speaker 4: No, I just will.
- 32:02Speaker 5: This is gonna work, because if I have a problem,
- 32:05Speaker 5: I now know what I've got to go through. Thank goodness,
- 32:08Speaker 5: my alarms went up. I called another I did a
- 32:12Speaker 5: little bit more research. I got the same product, and
- 32:16Speaker 5: I think I spoke to somebody. Well, matter of fact,
- 32:18Speaker 5: I know I did, because I did it later in Morefield, West, Virginia.
- 32:23Speaker 5: Because I'll ask, I'm not shy. I go house, the
- 32:26Speaker 5: weather over there, Well, where are you at? Well, let
- 32:29Speaker 5: me show you where I'm at. You know I'm in Winfield,
- 32:31Speaker 5: West Virginia where slave says, I'm in Moorefield, and so
- 32:36Speaker 5: we got talking same product.
- 32:39Speaker 4: It just I just.
- 32:40Speaker 5: Got shuffled and I got shuffled to a call center
- 32:44Speaker 5: and I could tell it, you know, and I do
- 32:47Speaker 5: not speak German, and if I had to be very bad,
- 32:50Speaker 5: so you wouldn't be able to hear.
- 32:51Speaker 4: Me or understand me. And there's nothing wrong with that.
- 32:55Speaker 5: I meant it, but I'm not going to try to
- 32:57Speaker 5: tell you something in a language that I've not made.
- 33:00Speaker 5: And listen, they just put it on and I could.
- 33:02Speaker 5: I just I said, I don't offend you. I'm only
- 33:05Speaker 5: understanding about every other word. This isn't going well for me,
- 33:09Speaker 5: and you have a tremendous amount of background noise. And
- 33:12Speaker 5: if I have a problem, I'm sure I'm gonna get
- 33:14Speaker 5: sent right back in this area. So I said, just
- 33:17Speaker 5: cancel my subscription. I'm going to do something else. But
- 33:22Speaker 5: you know what, as soon as I signed up, they
- 33:24Speaker 5: sat my money and guess what, I haven't got.
- 33:26Speaker 2: Back yet your money.
- 33:28Speaker 5: So I'm doing it through email, trying to I got
- 33:31Speaker 5: the same product for the same money, and I feel
- 33:34Speaker 5: much better because I was able to communicate. And you know,
- 33:39Speaker 5: when you have a problem when you have to go back,
- 33:43Speaker 5: as many people has done because they've lost this bill
- 33:49Speaker 5: of sale where I have bought your cars still on
- 33:52Speaker 5: their tax ticket at Kenall County or whatever county is,
- 33:56Speaker 5: and they go in they said, well we sold a car,
- 33:58Speaker 5: Well we have an a proof.
- 34:00Speaker 4: You need to have it.
- 34:01Speaker 5: So they come back to me. I go down to
- 34:03Speaker 5: the archive room and get it. That's not real, uncommon.
- 34:06Speaker 5: I got one laner on my desk right now. When
- 34:08Speaker 5: an envelope they called and needed it. I took my time,
- 34:12Speaker 5: went to another building I owned, went downstairs, pulled the
- 34:15Speaker 5: deal out, came back, laid it. Tare no show, But
- 34:20Speaker 5: that's okay. I did what I told him I was
- 34:22Speaker 5: going to do. I'm not sure they did exactly what
- 34:25Speaker 5: they told me to do, but that's okay. I mean,
- 34:28Speaker 5: no harm, no foul. But try to that one when
- 34:31Speaker 5: was one to eight hundred numbers, Especially if you have
- 34:34Speaker 5: a problem or like this gentleman here you can't find
- 34:37Speaker 5: the title and it was a lean, have them walk
- 34:40Speaker 5: you through it as patiently as I have and instructed him.
- 34:43Speaker 5: And we were texting last night. You know, once again,
- 34:46Speaker 5: do I need to take anything else? Is said take
- 34:48Speaker 5: the pall of the dog. Prove you got a dog,
- 34:51Speaker 5: because the DMV subtives can throw you a curve.
- 34:55Speaker 3: I tell you, it's impossible if you're dealing with a
- 34:57Speaker 3: like a large corporate re tel outlet. At least in
- 35:02Speaker 3: my recent experience, it's impossible to find a number that
- 35:06Speaker 3: will get you to talk to someone at the place
- 35:09Speaker 3: that you're looking at. You can be standing outside the
- 35:10Speaker 3: building and call the number that's supposed to be theirs,
- 35:13Speaker 3: and you can't get to a person inside that building.
- 35:16Speaker 3: It used to be like if it was one of
- 35:17Speaker 3: these places that had like a jewelry department or something
- 35:19Speaker 3: like that, one of the back doors was is that
- 35:21Speaker 3: you could like hit the number to get transferred to
- 35:24Speaker 3: like the jewelry department. There'd be a person there. Then
- 35:25Speaker 3: you could be like, I need to talk to somebody
- 35:27Speaker 3: in the office, and then maybe you could get through
- 35:29Speaker 3: to somebody that way. You don't even have that anymore,
- 35:31Speaker 3: Like it's all like endless. Like I'm convinced the purpose
- 35:34Speaker 3: of the telephony systems they use is to make you
- 35:36Speaker 3: give up, Like it's like they're designed to be endless.
- 35:39Speaker 3: Press one, Press two, Press one. That was the wrong number.
- 35:42Speaker 3: Go back and listen to your prompts again. Press one,
- 35:43Speaker 3: Press two, Press one. It's just made to make you
- 35:45Speaker 3: hang up. It's just barriers to seep you from getting.
- 35:48Speaker 4: There or they'll drop the call.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that happens all the time.
- 35:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:51Speaker 3: Now I worked at AT and now I know this
- 35:53Speaker 3: happens for sure. I worked at AT and T for a
- 35:55Speaker 3: brief amount of time back in the nineties. I started
- 35:57Speaker 3: in the business collections department, which was a really interesting job,
- 36:00Speaker 3: honestly it was.
- 36:01Speaker 2: It was a fun job.
- 36:02Speaker 3: But they closed down that department over here on Davis
- 36:04Speaker 3: Street and they moved everybody that worked in the in
- 36:07Speaker 3: the business department down to like the regular incoming calls.
- 36:10Speaker 3: And this was during the height of the MCI AT
- 36:14Speaker 3: and T, the the long distance war. So the calls
- 36:17Speaker 3: just came in and everybody, can I get ten cent
- 36:19Speaker 3: a minute? Can I get five cents minute? You know,
- 36:20Speaker 3: on and on and on and on. I saw this myself.
- 36:23Speaker 3: People there would be on incoming calls and they would
- 36:26Speaker 3: get tired, and you can't stop. If you log out,
- 36:29Speaker 3: you get you know, audited for it and everything else.
- 36:31Speaker 3: You can't stop. So all they would do is they
- 36:32Speaker 3: would reach over and put their phones on mute, because
- 36:34Speaker 3: it was one of the buttons that was that they
- 36:36Speaker 3: couldn't track. They couldn't track the mute button on your phone,
- 36:39Speaker 3: so they would just reach over and put their their
- 36:41Speaker 3: phone on mute, bring their headsets down, and just sit
- 36:44Speaker 3: there and read a book or whatever. Somebody would be
- 36:45Speaker 3: on the other line going hello, Hello, is anybody there, Hello,
- 36:48Speaker 3: and then they would just hang up and they would
- 36:49Speaker 3: do that for you know, five or ten minutes until
- 36:50Speaker 3: they got their break in, read a book for a
- 36:52Speaker 3: little bit, whatever, and then they would unmute, take the
- 36:55Speaker 3: next call, and go about their business. So there would
- 36:57Speaker 3: be some string of people that would call in. They
- 36:59Speaker 3: would just sit there for minutes like Hello, Hello, somebody there, Hello,
- 37:01Speaker 3: and that was it. And if that was happening back
- 37:03Speaker 3: in nineteen ninety, I guarantee you that it's happening constantly today.
- 37:07Speaker 3: For wherever there are humans, they're definitely doing that.
- 37:10Speaker 5: I'll tell you another A lot of referring I get
- 37:12Speaker 5: from his attorney's local.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Turn Oh yeah, for sure. Well, I know you work
- 37:16Speaker 2: with about everybody.
- 37:17Speaker 5: Is that that has decreased a little bit. But the
- 37:21Speaker 5: reason I think he is a lot of the attorneys
- 37:23Speaker 5: I knew were retiring, Sure has retired and the younger
- 37:26Speaker 5: generation CUMP has came in. So if you're listening to him,
- 37:29Speaker 5: I've got a lot of references with the attorney in
- 37:32Speaker 5: talent that you know you're handling a deal that you
- 37:35Speaker 5: needed expert.
- 37:36Speaker 4: You know I'm here for you.
