And I can tell you guys, I learned a lot from my first job

in the sports betting industry. I'll take a little trip down

memory lane. I was, I was 22 years old, I

believe, 23 maybe, but it was 2011.

I was working in restaurants and I applied to a Craigslist ad and

it was for a customer service position.

I didn't know it was a sports betting company, but it said you

know what, you have to have a few prerequisites.

Basically you have you have to have some writing background and

experience. And I wrote for, I was an

English major UVMI wrote for the UVM cynic, the Vermont cynic.

It also said you needed a passion for sports and it also

said you needed to be able to work nights and weekends.

So at the time I was working in restaurants.

I said, OK, I love sports, let's give this thing a shot.

I was looking to get out of, you know, the hospitality industry,

try to start a career. Little did I know that that was

the business called Sports Insights on the North Shore of

Boston where I learned everything that I now know about

sports betting. It created a incredible

foundation for me of sports betting knowledge.

This is where I learned how to be a data-driven contrarian

better. Obviously over time I've, you

know, kind of tweaked and, you know, kind of moved on and not

moved on, but learn more basically, since I started

working at V sin, working with, you know, sharps and wise guys

in different ways to attack the market.

But really it was a it was a thing to me where at one point I

was saying, you know, should I go to grad school?

You know, but then I was worried about tons of student debt and I

kind of said, hey, we'll, we'll see where life takes me.

But I always kind of think about sports insights as my Graduate

School when it comes to sports betting.

Now, why do I say that? Because I'll always remember I

had a mentor at Sports Insights who always told me, try to

maximize your edge. You know, obviously we all want

to be well-rounded betters. We want to be winning betters at

every single sport and every single bet type.

But I don't think that that's totally, you know, realistic.

I think you want to maybe isolate specific sports that

you're good at, specific bet types that you're good at.

And when you have all these different sports going on right

now and maybe you're really good at college basketball and you're

not great at NBA and you're terrible at hockey or whatever,

you don't just continue to beat your head against the wall just

to be quote UN quote well-rounded.

I think what you want to do is try to maximize your edge.

If you feel like you have an edge, that's where you want to

place your action. So why do I say that?

Because I've had a lot of people last few days say like, you

know, why aren't you talking about NBA nightly best bets or

NHL? And my answer has been, hey, we

got an edge right now in college basketball, so let's maximize

our edge. We'd hate to continue to do well

in college basketball and then, you know, have losing nights

because we're forcing NBA or NHL plays.

So I wanted to kind of just mention that.

But then also have you guys always remember maximize your

So with that being said, on a hump day, on a big Wednesday,

Now last night we kept our winning ways going two and one

I had a great come from behind win with Southern Miss.

They looked kind of sunk there late and they really turned it

on were able to beat Coastal Carolina, which was really great

to see. Lola Maryland was in a beat off

which was nice. The only loser was Tulsa and

So let's set the stage. Talk some line movement system

So Pittsburgh comes in on the year 16 and 13, but they've

struggled as of late. They've lost three in a row.

They just fell to Louisville 79 to 68, didn't cover as a 10 1/2

They lose by 11. That would have been a brutal

Remember, they went to the, what was it the final four with the

Maybe they remember NC State from the Wolfpack's deep NCAA

tournament run last year. But either way, we got a 5050

Theoretically, a line shouldn't move at all.

Oddsmakers have balanced action, no need to adjust the price.

That's important to me because it tells me that even though the

more respected money is taking a position in favor of whichever

direction that line is moving. And that line is moving toward

And I love these splits at DraftKings.

Pitts only getting 51% of spread bets, but 94% of spread dollars.

And then you look at Circa Pitts getting 50% of spread bets, 66%
