- 0:00I think that is also another aspect of being in partnership
- 0:04with horses is that deep invitation to be more in
- 0:08connection with nature and to to be in more presence with our own
- 0:11nature. They're always going to show us
- 0:14what's true. Stevie's a good example of this.
- 0:17I won't know that I'm tired and maybe feeling a little bit spicy
- 0:21until she checks me, whether she nibbles me on the side or slows
- 0:25down the process and then you're OK.
- 0:28I'm actually not feeling good right now.
- 0:30I always say horses are like tuning forks.
- 0:32They're going to show you what's out of alignment and then help
- 0:35to bring it back into alignment. You're willing to meet them
- 0:37there? There are healers on this planet
- 0:40with the power to soften the suffering of mankind if they
- 0:44have remained in the recesses of the world, abused, discarded and
- 0:48labeled as trash. This is the touch of a Mustang.
- 0:51I am your host, Shalise. Clough and I'm here.
- 0:55To tell the story of wild horses, Mustangs and the humans
- 0:59who are discovering and sharing their gifts while working to
- 1:02protect their well-being and preserve their spirit so this
- 1:05divine power won't be lost. Join us on this quest with the
- 1:10Wild Mustang. Chloe, thanks so much for being
- 1:18here at the podcast today. Yes, thank you for having me.
- 1:21It's nice to connect and meet you.
- 1:23I'm excited to learn more about what you do and the horses that
- 1:27you have in your life. To start with, can you give us a
- 1:30brief rundown for anyone who doesn't know you, isn't familiar
- 1:32with you? Sure.
- 1:33Yeah. And I love, I just noticed that
- 1:35we both have like sort of the corners of our art are just like
- 1:40horses, Yeah. I just actually redecorated
- 1:44because this is what you see in the podcast.
- 1:46I mean, this is it's from the Calgary Stampede.
- 1:50I was born in Calgary in Alberta.
- 1:52And I mean, yeah, it is sort of relevant to to my story because
- 1:58I was born actually during the Calgary Stampede, which is a
- 2:01very big rodeo in, in Canada. I was born obsessed with horses.
- 2:06Like, you know, like many horse girls.
- 2:07It's like out of the wood, like horses.
- 2:09And I in Calgary, horses, like it's a very big cow towns.
- 2:13There's basically horses everywhere and you're in the
- 2:15Rocky Mountains. So I had this like very strong
- 2:18influx of horse energy when I was born and grew up.
- 2:22But we moved to Malaysia when I was 5 because of my dad's work.
- 2:26And it was interesting because like I kind of had, you know,
- 2:31this contrast because in Canada I got really exposed to a more
- 2:36kind of natural relationship with horses.
- 2:38We had friends who had like big acreages and their horses were
- 2:42just like very happy and, you know, would run free and like
- 2:45have all this space and live in herds.
- 2:48And then moving to Malaysia, it was very different.
- 2:51You, it was basically you're either doing equestrian, riding
- 2:55your horses and stables and they're all in little stalls or
- 2:58you're not hanging out with horses.
- 3:00So that was kind of my exposure as a kid and that we would go
- 3:04back to Canada every summer and I would spend time.
- 3:07We ended up buying a property in the foothills of of Alberta when
- 3:11I was 12 and I got my childhood horse, adopted him from a kill
- 3:16pen auction. And like my, it was just like
- 3:18the best experience a a person could have with horses.
- 3:21Like I would just spend all day out in the field with him, jump
- 3:25on his back bareback, go riding in the Rockies, like he was just
- 3:29my everything. And then I would like leave
- 3:31Canada, going back to Malaysia, like kicking and screaming
- 3:33because I felt very contracted and restricted there.
- 3:38But yeah. So I live in Austin, TX now with
- 3:41our herd of five. I'm a psychic medium.
- 3:45I worked as a psychic medium since I in my 20s and always
- 3:49worked with humans for a long, a large portion of that time, like
- 3:52specifically. But animals have always been
- 3:55like front and Center for me. They've always been like the
- 3:58most important beings in my life and my greatest teachers.
- 4:02Like every initiation or growth, big growth moment in my life has
- 4:06been led by animals, whether it's like an animal entering my
- 4:09life or an animal transitioning. And so my dream was always to
- 4:13live as an adult, live on land with horses.
- 4:16And I never really had a specific agenda or vision of
- 4:20what that was going to look like or what we were going to do.
- 4:23I just knew that I needed to be with horses.
- 4:25And it was interesting because in my, for like 10 years or so,
- 4:29I sort of like, I felt like I would always try to get there
- 4:32and then life would be like, no, it's not time yet.
- 4:34Or I would get like rerouted or detoured.
- 4:36And it was very hard because there would, there would always
- 4:39be that part of me that would be like, is this ever going to
- 4:41happen? Like maybe this is not going to
- 4:43happen. Like maybe I'm just like, you
- 4:45know, this is just like a crazy dream that will never come true.
- 4:48So when we bought this property in 20/20/2023, it was really
- 4:55like a huge metamorphosis transformative experience for
- 5:00me. And then bringing our horses or
- 5:02really just like watching them show up kind of and the herd
- 5:05being built. And so now what we do here is
- 5:08what I call horse medicine. So really retreats and
- 5:12experiences where people come and stay with us or come and do
- 5:15like an immersive day experience where we're really just being
- 5:19with horses. And it's kind of a blend where,
- 5:22you know, I will teach and guide and like just talk about horse
- 5:29language and herd behavior and learning how to safely share
- 5:32space with horses and what it looks like for horses to be
- 5:35sovereign. I don't ride any of the horses
- 5:38that we currently have. It's just intuitively not felt
- 5:40right anymore. And like, for me, the most
- 5:42important thing is that my horses feel like safe and heard
- 5:46and seen and just being able to be horses.
- 5:49And they're all rescues. So they've definitely come from
- 5:51a life, previous life that wasn't that.
- 5:54So yeah, we kind of do a blend of like animal communication,
- 5:57healing with horses, just working with the herd, observing
- 6:00the herd. And, you know, I kind of bring
- 6:02in psychic medium stuff like readings and whatnot.
- 6:04But yeah, it's a it's a good time.
- 6:07Your videos from Instagram look so peaceful, just so really
- 6:12beautiful, like having a little bit of time or life with the
- 6:14horses in the way that you do. And I love the setup that you
- 6:18have because when I first moved here, I thought because we moved
- 6:20to the mountains like five years ago from, you know, big change,
- 6:24I thought, oh, we're going to have these nice pastures.
- 6:26And like, we ran out of money on the House because it was during
- 6:28COVID, so that the horses just have a big enclosure on all our
- 6:32property and they're just right around the house.
- 6:34And I absolutely love it. Now I'm like, oh, I, this is so
- 6:37much better. And I didn't even know to do it
- 6:39this way, but yeah. So I love that your videos look
- 6:41really peaceful. Tell us a little bit about that
- 6:45journey from even like into working as a psychic medium into
- 6:49changing that down the horses. Obviously horses were a big part
- 6:53of your life that you always want to get back to, So what was
- 6:56that journey getting from there to there?
- 6:58Yeah, that it was I'm a I've got a lot of fire in my chart, so
- 7:04change tends to be like fast and furious and intense.
- 7:07Like, you know, I feel like people always say how someone is
- 7:10born is quite representative of maybe who they are.
- 7:13And I like was born before the doctor came and like almost came
- 7:18out when my mom was like going pee so like no one was ready for
- 7:21me, you know, So yeah, that's kind of how I roll.
- 7:24So when we moved to this property and we adopted our
- 7:29first, well, we basically adopted my first horses as in
- 7:33Stevie from Sweet Mercy. I don't know if you know them.
- 7:37They're rescue here and. I've heard of them.
- 7:40Yeah, so I would always like donate and support to, to Sweet
- 7:48Mercy and all seated in the barn were the ones that I was really
- 7:50drawn to back in 2022, 2021-2022.
- 7:54And so I knew that like I, my, my feeling was that I would
- 7:58always, I would adopt from Mariah.
- 8:00I just loved her energy. And I could feel that she was
- 8:03also very intuitive with how she chose the horses or how, you
- 8:07know, when she would go to the Bowie auction every month.
- 8:10And so it's kind of funny because I had been donating to
- 8:14her regularly, so she knew who I was and we were looking for
- 8:18properties, but we hadn't found 1 yet.
- 8:20And so I just, you know, felt called to message her one day as
- 8:25I was dreaming up my vision. And I was like, hey, you just
- 8:29planting a seed, Like we're, you know, hoping to find land and
- 8:33close on it within this year. And I would love to adopt two
- 8:38horses from you. And I sort of just told her a
- 8:40little bit about myself and what I what I envisioned, and she
- 8:44sent me a picture of Raz. It's like she basically just
- 8:47like immediately sent me a picture.
- 8:48Of Raz. She's like, I already have him,
- 8:50he's here for you. Have your horse like he's he's.
- 8:53I'm very specific about who we would go to.
- 8:55He's very sensitive and as soon as I saw his I was like shit.
- 8:59All those pictures, yeah. So I went to meet him and we
- 9:05ended up putting him in because he was at the time in a paddock
- 9:08with two pony like mini, mini ponies and like no shade, love
- 9:14them, but I just knew that they weren't supposed to be a part of
- 9:16the my vision. And so and he was just kind of
- 9:19like paired with them for a couple weeks.
- 9:21And so I was like, well, you know, can we see who else you
- 9:23have? And I so I grew up with
- 9:25Arabians, like Arabians are really popular and and stuff.
- 9:29And so they had just gotten Stevie from and the buoy auction
- 9:34like 2 weeks prior and she was, yeah, like maybe 2, still very
- 9:39small and young, but she had a fracture in her hind and an
- 9:43infection. So they were, it wasn't ready to
- 9:46be adopted yet, but they were like still treating her and
- 9:49hoping for the best. But I was just, I was like, I
- 9:52feel drawn to her. So once she got better, we tried
- 9:56her and Raziel out together and they were like immediately like
- 10:00lovers. Very sweet.
- 10:02So as the story goes, like I got the horses before I got the
- 10:05land, which I feel like can happen because the horse, yeah.
- 10:10Like horses are live on horse time.
- 10:12And and for them, often times, I feel, you know, they don't
- 10:15perceive timelines in the same way that humans do.
- 10:19And often times, like, even in the process where I knew that
- 10:22they were going to be mine, but we still hadn't closed on the
- 10:25property. And you know, with buying
- 10:26property, there can always be obstacles and like hiccups.
- 10:30And there were moments where I was like in a lot of self doubt,
- 10:34like, is this actually going to happen?
- 10:35And I would like connect with them.
- 10:36And they were just like, hurry up.
- 10:38Like, you know. We're ready.
- 10:40We're waiting. Yeah.
- 10:41So what, as soon as they arrived and I arrived, I still kind of
- 10:46was working in the psychic medium space, but I could feel
- 10:49that it was going to change. I had done training in horse
- 10:52medicine, leadership and a bunch of things behind the scenes, but
- 10:55it wasn't. It was when my third horse
- 10:58dreamer arrived and he's a Medicine Hat really a magical
- 11:04like deep horse, deeply sensitive horse.
- 11:06When he arrived, it was like he just like press.
- 11:10The acceleration is what it felt like like as soon as he got
- 11:12here. It was like, you know, it's like
- 11:15when you really have no choice. Like all of a sudden all my work
- 11:17like clients kind of completed things or you know, bookings
- 11:21would stop. It's like these are just like
- 11:24this is done and you're moving into this wave.
- 11:26So it was like I felt supported. But I also, you know, horses
- 11:31aren't cheap buying properties. Yeah.
- 11:33So there was definitely like I remember specifically because
- 11:37Tuesdays were always my busiest day for bookings and stuff.
- 11:41And I remember I had this Tuesday where I, I had nothing.
- 11:45I remember I just was like, had a moment of panic where I really
- 11:48had to like, go sit outside with the horses and be like, what's
- 11:51happening here, guys? Like, yeah, I need some, I need
- 11:54some help because this is like a little bit scary.
- 11:56But yeah, I feel like that day was like the precipice of my
- 11:59fear. And then I just stepped into
- 12:01trusting. And, and then things really
- 12:03unfolded like quite beautifully in terms of the way that stuff
- 12:07started to kind of pour in. So.
- 12:09Yeah. Yeah, it is neat how things
- 12:12happen. Maybe not how we would have
- 12:13planned it, but when you look back you're it kind of makes
- 12:16sense. Yeah, you see the beauty later.
- 12:19Yeah, the way it all aligns, of course.
- 12:21So talk to us about your herd and kind of how you you said you
- 12:25don't really ride them anymore and they some of the things that
- 12:27they're doing and things you're learning from them or
- 12:30experiences you've had with them.
- 12:31Yeah, so there are such a like dynamic collection of beings.
- 12:37Like whenever people come here, they always notice that they're
- 12:40each so unique, which is, which is just fun, you know, because
- 12:45especially with what I do, they each bring something so
- 12:47different to the, the space, whether, whether it's like their
- 12:51story, what they look like, but also, you know, who they are,
- 12:55their personality, their their medicine is what I call it.
- 12:58And with horses, like the medicine is sort of, you know, I
- 13:01always, I love the phrase your story is your medicine.
- 13:04It's like when we take something thing that, you know, when we
- 13:06take the entirety of of our story and what we've
- 13:08experienced, good and bad, hard and easy, painful and joyful,
- 13:14and we sort of allow that to then become something that is in
- 13:16service, right? And because I it's like when we
- 13:20hear someone else's story or we see ourselves in someone else,
- 13:23right? And horses are such natural
- 13:25mirrors and reflectors because they are so present and so
- 13:29attuned to the space, but also so big, right and so expressive
- 13:34and responsive. So we have so Raz and CV were
- 13:39the first to come. And I mean Raziel, he's just a,
- 13:43he's a stunning, like very striking horse.
- 13:46He's very powerful. He's like a Pinto.
- 13:49He has like really unique markings though, where I call
- 13:52him kind of like I was joke around and gives call him the
- 13:54international man of mystery and like a British voice because he
- 13:57kind of reminds me a little bit of James Bond because he's very,
- 14:00you know, people are always like very drawn to him.
- 14:02And he does like he's not a stallion, but he kind of feels
- 14:06like a stallion. But he's also he's so he's so
- 14:10deeply sensed. I mean, they're all so
- 14:12sensitive, but he's definitely like an empath.
- 14:15And he's one who will oftentimes, if someone's like,
- 14:19if someone comes and is navigating fear or anxiety,
- 14:22he'll just step right, like really come right up, right,
- 14:26right up to you. And almost like offer his
- 14:28physical presence of like, you can lean on me.
- 14:31I'll support you in this. So yeah, he's like a true gentle
- 14:35giant. What what is that reaction like?
- 14:38If it's people who are anxious and then you have this big
- 14:40magnificent being kind of coming towards you, what is that like?
- 14:44It's interesting because I feel like Raziel immediately
- 14:47immediately disarms because it's like like he really has such a
- 14:54heart filled presence where even though he's this like big horse,
- 14:58it's just like he softened. He just softens you and it's
- 15:01interesting. I had a woman here last week for
- 15:03a retreat and he's in in the paddock with Dreamer, who is
- 15:08different. Dreamers not going to do that.
- 15:09Dreamers sort of like will show you your fear and a bit more
- 15:15edgy and like, you know, he's got like more kind of like a
- 15:18dragon in him. And so Dreamer came up to her
- 15:22and that brought stuff up up. And then Raziel just like step,
- 15:26literally just like ushered himself in, moved dreamer.
- 15:30And then I saw the woman's like her fear kind of came up and
- 15:33then it was just like, and that was like even something that she
- 15:36talked about was like how powerful it was to literally
- 15:40watch that energy move in her body and, and have the two very
- 15:44contrasting experiences. So I feel like he, I, I've yet
- 15:48to see someone not sort of like just totally soften in Raziel's
- 15:53presence. And it is interesting because he
- 15:56is he is a horse who if he doesn't feel safe, then he will
- 16:01be like quite spooky and like kind of get a little like get
- 16:05really big, but also. Active.
- 16:08Yeah, So I feel like he reflects that, You know, he's like, for
- 16:13him, safety is so important. And if he feels safe, which for
- 16:17me is like for Raz, if a person is just there to be there, then
- 16:21he's like, I can do this. But if what's coming in with an
- 16:25agenda or like a plan, then he's like, OK, I'm not doing.
- 16:29Yeah, I'm out. I'm not doing this so but yeah,
- 16:32he's, he's definitely, I always say like he's kind of the one
- 16:36who started the vision, like he was the first horse for this
- 16:40herd. So he I always feel like he's
- 16:43kind of the visionary for for what this what our life is.
- 16:47And even I, I felt him kind of bring some of the horses in.
- 16:51So I and I, I feel like he's like, my feeling with Raziel is
- 16:55that he 100% incarnated in this lifetime to be, to do this, to
- 17:01be a horse, not like, to really not be ridden, to not have to do
- 17:05the song and dance with humans in that way.
- 17:08Like, I feel like he's so deeply passionate about just being in a
- 17:12space of connection and like receptivity with with humans.
- 17:18And he love, he loves humans, which is really sweet.
- 17:20Like, he'll definitely be the one who's, like, comes up to
- 17:23connect if someone's in that space in that way.
- 17:26So yeah. Is this kind of the vision that
- 17:29you had when you thought about, you know, yourself grown with
- 17:32horses and land, or is that something that evolved as you
- 17:35just learned and experienced with the horses?
- 17:37I feel like it's, it's always so hard because I to go back, you
- 17:41know, because I feel like we were there.
- 17:43We remember through a different lens, I feel, and I was actually
- 17:47writing about this. I was thinking about this last
- 17:49night because it's not that I'm I'm not against riding at all.
- 17:53You know, I think that and I certainly loved riding when I
- 17:57was younger, but it was definitely like when I really
- 17:59feel back to and sort of try to find the truth in it.
- 18:05When I really, the times where I loved riding was when I was at
- 18:11our property in Alberta, when I could really like me and my
- 18:14horse had such a deep relationship and I could just
- 18:17like go and hang out with him in, in the, you know, a huge
- 18:21acreage and lie on the ground or just like even just connect to
- 18:25him from afar or swim with him in the in the lake with just
- 18:28like a lead rope around his neck.
- 18:30So for me, but like in any experience that I had where I
- 18:35was riding where I didn't feel that sense of like freedom and
- 18:39truth, where maybe there was like a little bit of ego or
- 18:42performance or restriction or contraction, then it didn't, it
- 18:46really didn't feel good. So I think that I couldn't, I
- 18:49didn't know exactly what the dream was, but I know that when
- 18:53I would when I was younger with my horse, I would like that was
- 18:57all I wanted. That was like the only
- 18:59experience that I just wanted to continue having all the time.
- 19:02And I am super, super grateful that I got to have that type of
- 19:06foundational experience with horses because I do feel like it
- 19:09really anchored that into my energy system to know the
- 19:13difference. You know, Like I think about if
- 19:15I had only had those experiences in Malaysia, I would know that
- 19:20it didn't feel great, but I wouldn't have anything to
- 19:23reference it to or relate it to. And so when I was, so I was, I
- 19:29moved to Canada for college and went to university in Canada.
- 19:33And I got connected to a woman, Hilary Schneider, who is now a
- 19:37good friend of mine. And she was the first person
- 19:40that I met who was, who was actively living out what I was
- 19:46like, this is what I this is what it is.
- 19:48You know, she teaches horse medicine and like has a, a
- 19:52beautiful property and she is a guardian of about give or take
- 19:56at any given time, like 20 to 30 horses.
- 20:00And the way that her horses live is, is so is like as close to
- 20:04wild horses that I would say as possible.
- 20:06The relation, just the relationship and the way that
- 20:09she lives with them and the way that they are like that was, it
- 20:11was like a really powerful moment for me to be, to be like,
- 20:13OK, this is, this is the vibe. This is, you know, so I think
- 20:17that it's like the vision was there and.
- 20:21And I'm, I'm such a feeling based person.
- 20:23So I think that I felt the dream and the vision, but actually
- 20:27knowing what that looked like and tactically was tangibly was
- 20:31and took some experiences to bring forward.
- 20:33Yeah. So did you end up studying with
- 20:36Hillary? I did, yeah.
- 20:37Yeah. What?
- 20:38Are some of the things that kind of stand out from that period of
- 20:40time? So I ended up so when I met
- 20:43Hillary, I must have been in my mid 20s.
- 20:46And so I, I went and spent like a good port because I was living
- 20:50in Vancouver and she's like interior BC.
- 20:53So it was like a six hour drive. So I would go and spend time
- 20:55with her and her herd again, with no intention of like doing
- 21:00that or having my own herd at that point, but really just like
- 21:03knowing that I needed to be immersed in it.
- 21:05And then we kind of got like disconnected and, you know,
- 21:09life, life took me other places. Life happened.
- 21:12And then I actually reconnected with her when we bought this
- 21:15property. And then I ended up doing her a
- 21:19horse medicine leadership program.
- 21:20And for me with the with her program, it was like, I mean, it
- 21:24was like a coming home. Like everything that was she
- 21:27taught and that I experienced, it was not like new.
- 21:32It was like it was just kind of like permission and confirmation
- 21:35of the things that I was sensing and feeling.
- 21:38But I mean, the pieces that I love about what Hillary teaches
- 21:42is really the horses come first and like, and this is definitely
- 21:48something that I'm that's really important for me as well.
- 21:51I'm a cancer. So I'm like very protective.
- 21:53So it's like my horses, they the fact them having full agency and
- 21:58choice in terms of how they interact with people.
- 22:00If people are coming into their space, like really establishing
- 22:04safety, what safety looks like, what safety feels like for the
- 22:07human, but also very much for the horses, especially because
- 22:11like when we come to horses for anything, right, the horses
- 22:15being able to be safe, safe in their own home, like it's their,
- 22:18it's their home, it's their space.
- 22:20And so when we come into a horse of space with stuff, especially
- 22:23if we're not even fully aware of what that is, they're already
- 22:26picking up on that. They're already feeling it.
- 22:28So for me, like the foundation of getting really clear in our
- 22:32bodies, establishing safety, learning about how to safely be
- 22:36with horses and honor and respect them is like
- 22:39fundamental. And I loved that Hillary really,
- 22:42really like, that's like a very important part of what she
- 22:46teaches, I'd say. Yeah.
- 22:48And it's like, you're not like, you're not looking for these
- 22:51like massive moments, which I, I always don't, I'm not a big fan
- 22:56of in the healing spaces. You know, when people are
- 22:58looking for like big cathartic moments and attic experiences,
- 23:02it's really like the softer, more subtle, more quiet
- 23:06experiences that happen when we can like attune to the space
- 23:10with horses. Because you know, horses can
- 23:12have like, of course they can have big moments, but like so
- 23:16much the time when you spend like a long time period of time
- 23:20with horses just in observation, it's a lot of the time it's
- 23:23quiet. It's like non verbal, you know,
- 23:26like you'll just see horses standing together, right?
- 23:29And it's like there's a lot that's happening, but they're,
- 23:32they look like they're just sleeping or something.
- 23:35Yeah. So in your experience, have you
- 23:37found that it's more of a process, or that it can be an
- 23:40instantaneous thing, or some of both?
- 23:44Yes, my. Feeling.
- 23:46Goes yeah, I always say to people that you really like.
- 23:50So because to me, horses are multi dimensional beings, you
- 23:55know, so like you when you're in when you're with horses is just
- 23:58one horse, but like in a herd that like amplifies times,
- 24:02right. But to me the experience with
- 24:04horses is such a multi sensory experience.
- 24:08So oftentimes in the moment, you're really just having like
- 24:12the potentially the physical experience experience where
- 24:15maybe you notice a feeling or you see something or you hear
- 24:19something or you know what I mean.
- 24:21And it's often times like to me after where you start to process
- 24:26actually what was shared in the space or what moved or what you
- 24:31saw, what you felt, what you heard.
- 24:34So I feel like and I, and to me with horses, they're, they're in
- 24:38the present moment, but they also don't live in time and
- 24:42space in the same way that we do.
- 24:43So oftentimes I feel like the work, like the, the transference
- 24:47with horses will continue sometimes for days, weeks,
- 24:50months, years, you know what I mean?
- 24:52Where you're like, that horse is like staying with me like.
- 24:55Going back to that moment and taking my things away from it.
- 24:59Yeah, so I feel like it's both. And like I think that sometimes
- 25:03people, you know, and I'm, I'm such a big, big supporter of
- 25:07like allowing things to, to allowing things to take time.
- 25:12And so you may have an experience where you're with
- 25:15horses and you're like, nothing happened.
- 25:17And I'm like, OK, you know, we'll we'll leave it there for a
- 25:21little bit and we'll see what happens.
- 25:23And, you know, I have a lot of background in that because even
- 25:27in psychic work, sometimes someone does a reading and, and
- 25:31it's like nothing came through or like, I didn't really get
- 25:34anything from that or whatever. And it's like later on stuff,
- 25:37it's like, you know, sometimes I'll hear from people years
- 25:40later, like, oh, that thing that you heard that really didn't
- 25:43make sense. Like yeah, it makes sense.
- 25:45Now it does. Yeah.
- 25:46Interesting. I feel like horses are the same
- 25:48because, yeah, when, when we're not looking for proof of
- 25:53something, then we went, then we can open to like really allow
- 25:56what's supposed to happen or what or what we need to have in
- 26:00that moment. So yeah.
- 26:01Yeah. Tell us if you want to a little
- 26:04bit about how did you get into psychic medium work.
- 26:07Is that something that was like you grew up that was normal to
- 26:11you? Is it something that kind of
- 26:12developed over time? So I was, I think that we're
- 26:17becoming more and more we're understanding so much more about
- 26:23like human emotions and human psyche and developmental stuff,
- 26:27You know, like we're really like so much is starting to come come
- 26:31up. That makes a lot of sense.
- 26:32But I was definitely a very, very sensitive child.
- 26:37And I was very aware of a lot of what was going on.
- 26:42Some of it was hyper vigilance because I didn't feel very safe,
- 26:46like, you know, beautiful, lovely life, family.
- 26:49But my parents argued a shit ton.
- 26:53And sometimes it was like, extremely emotionally chaotic
- 26:55and we, you know, moving. And my mom didn't really feel
- 26:58safe. And I just perceived a lot of
- 27:00that. Having.
- 27:01Kids like I'm not safe, Yeah. And I was always, it was very
- 27:05empathic, sensitive, psychic child.
- 27:08So I would sort of pick up on stuff.
- 27:10And then, you know, a result of that, which I find happens a
- 27:14lot, is that I had a lot of night terrors and sleepwalking,
- 27:19sleep talking like really like a not a relaxed system.
- 27:24Really unsettled, yeah. Yeah, so I saw a lot like I
- 27:29would see spirits and, and had a lot of spirits talking to me and
- 27:33there were a lot, I mean in Malaysia especially, there's a
- 27:35lot of spirit, spirit activity. There's, you know, a lot of
- 27:39reasons why that could be. But this is just like a
- 27:42disrupted, disrupted field. So there's a lot of sort of like
- 27:46activity that would happen. And so I was really aware of all
- 27:49that, which was kind of present from like my dad would always
- 27:54talk that like I would sit with my dad and have these like just
- 27:57tell him all sorts of create like wild stories about certain
- 28:01things. And you know, like my mom had
- 28:04family that she didn't know about that no one had ever
- 28:07talked about. And I would tell, I'd like told
- 28:10her all this stuff about them that like that lived in
- 28:12Australia and, and she didn't know about that until like 20
- 28:15years later. So there, you know, it's kind of
- 28:16like a mixture of like that hyper vigilance of a disrupted
- 28:20system with actually like really tuned in kind of abilities.
- 28:25But it was very intense for me, obviously.
- 28:28And so I ended up like, the way that I understand it is that I
- 28:32actually developed eating disorders was in my like very
- 28:36early teens and it was pretty, really quite severe.
- 28:40So I, you know, it was like pretty bulimic and anorexic for
- 28:44about 10 years. And to me it makes total sense
- 28:47because eating disorders is like you're trying to control what
- 28:50you feel. And so that was like the best
- 28:54way for me to like shut it all down so.
- 28:56Yeah, the one place in all that chaos that there was order,
- 28:59probably the total. Order total, total and obsessive
- 29:03control and like, yeah, controlling your body, right.
- 29:05And so that was really very present for me until my early,
- 29:10when I moved to Vancouver. And then I ended up studying
- 29:13holistic nutrition through like a very synchronistic way.
- 29:17Like I was exploring, I did my undergrad in psychology and then
- 29:21I was kind of like figuring out what to do next.
- 29:22And I was working at Whole Foods.
- 29:24And there was a woman that I was really good friends with and she
- 29:27was like, and she was like, you know, I feel like you would
- 29:29really enjoy this program that I'm doing.
- 29:31And she was studying holistic nutrition.
- 29:32And so I went and like met the school director and like the
- 29:37program was starting in like 3 days or something.
- 29:40And I already know I told you, like things happen quickly with
- 29:44me. It's like.
- 29:45Thing so keeping the pattern going.
- 29:47Yeah. So, yeah, I just like had a
- 29:50meeting with this their director of the school and it was like, I
- 29:53think we were we had a previous lifetime together because we it
- 29:57was like we were like, come on, like we know each other.
- 30:00Like this is very familiar. And so I just I signed up there
- 30:04on the spot for the two year program.
- 30:05And then and that really made a huge like totally change the
- 30:09trajectory for me because that really allowed me to heal, like
- 30:12really heal the the nutrition, the food side and start to
- 30:16rewire my brain and around. Yeah.
- 30:19So kind of through that, it's actually, it's kind of funny to
- 30:24watch the journey. But I ended up moving to Dubai
- 30:28for a while and was working for a juice company as their head
- 30:32nutritionist. And I had a lot of high profile
- 30:35clients and I would be sitting with them, talking to them about
- 30:39their, because The thing is that like emotional stuff is so
- 30:42connected to nutrition, right? And like health and Wellness.
- 30:45And so I would be like talking to them about their nutrition,
- 30:48but then I would like know a lot of other things about them.
- 30:51And because the, and you know, for me, as my eating disorder
- 30:55started to really leave, like that energy left, it was like
- 30:59everything kind of started coming back in.
- 31:02I would be like, I would just know things that I really should
- 31:05not know about these people. And so I started to kind of like
- 31:08just unknowingly develop that muscle again and then moved back
- 31:15to Vancouver and again, like synchronistic events, ended up
- 31:19connecting with a Doctor Who ended up who was a intuitive and
- 31:23taught intuitive intuition. And so then I kind of started to
- 31:27like go on the journey of training in psychic work and
- 31:32doing all those things and mediumship training.
- 31:34And so then I worked in that and then I followed that trajectory.
- 31:37For a decade. And then how does that now merge
- 31:40with what you're doing with horses, if it does at all?
- 31:43Yeah, I mean, I, the way that I, it all kind of works now is
- 31:47that, you know, I've, I, I feel like I use, I say that I'm a
- 31:50psychic medium because that's like the easiest, that's the
- 31:53easiest way to kind of describe what I do.
- 31:55People understand that. But it really is.
- 31:57It's just so integrated to into who I am now that it's all, it's
- 32:02like all, it's just it's me, you know?
- 32:05So we'll come and work with me. They're not just working with
- 32:08the horses, they're working with my energy field.
- 32:11I don't pop in and out of the hats or the rolls.
- 32:15They're just all. So if something, if it's a space
- 32:19of permission and safety, then I I'll just share things as they
- 32:23come. I think this is like a thing
- 32:24that is becoming again, more of a thing that's just like, it's
- 32:27just who I am. And I feel like it's kind of
- 32:29like our journey of life is like becoming who we are, right?
- 32:33And so sort of go through these different experiences and we're
- 32:36like, bring this thing in and we bring this thing in and then we
- 32:39become that. And then but it really it's like
- 32:41we're just kind of like peeling the layers to get to that most
- 32:46true point of who we are, which to me is the same as my horses.
- 32:51Like who they've, who they've been, what they've done, where
- 32:54they've lived, who's owned them. Like my journey with them is
- 32:57like, I just want you to be you. And like, whatever that looks
- 33:01like. Maybe right now we're working
- 33:03with a layer of trauma that's connected to your past and
- 33:07that's actually part of your medicine right now.
- 33:09But like my biggest intention is always just like, I just want
- 33:12you to be you, whoever you are. And it is so interesting because
- 33:16we really like to compartmentalize in our world.
- 33:19You know, we like to put labels on everything including like our
- 33:22own identity. And so that is a really
- 33:24interesting piece to be. And horses too, you know, we put
- 33:27all those labels on horses. So that is really interesting
- 33:31and good to like take in that holistic view to take in that
- 33:35whole view of us and use all the pieces not feel like we have to
- 33:39only have this piece at this time and this piece, this
- 33:42environment. So let's talk more about the
- 33:44horses and just kind of the some of the things you've some of the
- 33:48notes you made about how that relationship is evolving, living
- 33:52with horses, things we can do for them, all that.
- 33:56Yeah, I mean, I think that it's such a gift to live with your
- 34:00horses, you know, because you really, there's no, there's no
- 34:04disconnection. Like you're not really clocking
- 34:07in and clocking out. Like they're just always there.
- 34:09Like before we hopped on, I was just with them and I'll go out
- 34:13and see them right after. So and there's there's a
- 34:16challenges to that, right? Because I think when we're
- 34:19living with our horses and they're so integrated into our
- 34:22lives, then we really do get called out on our shit, you
- 34:28know, because, because they are so they're so present, they're
- 34:32so attuned. So like, you know, for instance,
- 34:35and I, I love that your podcast is called Touch of Mustang.
- 34:39The touch of a Mustang. To me, like that's my herd
- 34:41because we have 4 domestic horses and then Sahara is our
- 34:45Mustang. And so she's like, she's brought
- 34:47in this like a touch of a Mustang energy.
- 34:49And you know, she's such a potent being because like, and
- 34:56part of it is definitely like that Mustang energy where she's
- 35:00just a lot more present to what's going on around her.
- 35:03You know, that survival part of her brain is more active than
- 35:07the others. But like if I'm out of alignment
- 35:10or like not super grounded, she'll just, and she has like a
- 35:13stare. You can be like far away from
- 35:18you, but she'll just like stare and hold it and you'll just be
- 35:22like, I know, I know. So yeah.
- 35:26And, and it's like it's not, you know, we know with horses, it's
- 35:29not judgement, but it's like it's just very clear observation
- 35:33where she's. Awareness.
- 35:34Yeah, she's just like I'm keeping my space from you for a
- 35:37while, you know? Yeah.
- 35:39So I feel like if we can really allow ourselves to have that
- 35:44intimate relationship with them where we are willing to see what
- 35:47they're seeing and not from a place of judgment within
- 35:50ourselves, but really just like reflective awareness can be some
- 35:55be so powerful because they are they're such expanders.
- 35:58You know, like I always think, I think about this even just from
- 36:01the perspective of like how much I've grown since we since all of
- 36:07these horses arrived. And I've been doing this work.
- 36:09Like, it's really quite remarkable when I sit with
- 36:13myself and see how much I've grown because yeah, horse
- 36:16guardianship is not easy. Like from the multiple ways that
- 36:20we can look at it, but I feel like they kind of hold us to the
- 36:25vision. Like and that's what I've always
- 36:27felt with Raziel is he's just like this word, this is what's
- 36:31happening. So and you know, he just holds,
- 36:34I always feel like with him in particular, he holds it very
- 36:36steady. But that's the thing with each
- 36:38of the horses medicine, like they each bring something
- 36:41different. You know, like Stevie, my little
- 36:43Arabian mayor, she just, she had a really, really bad fence
- 36:47accident on December 1st, 1st of last year, just a couple months
- 36:51ago where she kicked. She must have double barreled
- 36:55into the fence. Being playful got her Heinz
- 36:59caught in the top of the fencing, obviously panicked,
- 37:02totally, like lacerated her left hand really severely.
- 37:07So I came out in the morning to feed them and.
- 37:10Yeah, like, full, like panic frozen.
- 37:13It's it's been a journey. She was in the hospital, that
- 37:15hospital for seven weeks. Yeah.
- 37:18So. But you know, she's now finally
- 37:21at a place where she can be out in the paddock.
- 37:23So she's out in the paddock with everyone right now.
- 37:25I'm having a great time. I put a video because, like, we
- 37:29were kind of at that point where the, you know, the vet still
- 37:32wants her to be stalled and bandage changes all the time and
- 37:36stuff. And I'm like, this girl's got to
- 37:39move. Like, yeah.
- 37:40She's probably going crazy. And she's been so good.
- 37:43Like she's just been so good, which is so her.
- 37:46She's just an absolute Angel. But I know it's like that, the
- 37:49holistic, right? It's that balance.
- 37:51Like yes immobilized the leg but for her to heal she has to feel
- 37:55good in her. Body, there's a mental,
- 37:57emotional aspect also, yeah, for sure.
- 37:59I had this moment like 10 days ago where the vet was here and I
- 38:03was just like, can I let her out in the and I could just feel
- 38:07Stevie was like, she was relaxed on the outside, but inside she
- 38:11was like, what this girl, I need to go.
- 38:13And it was just crazy because I like, I knew she needed to, I
- 38:16knew she needed to like shake it off.
- 38:18And so I just was like, Stevie, I trust you, be gentle, don't,
- 38:23don't injure yourself and stay away.
- 38:24From the fence. Yeah.
- 38:26And so for like 10 minutes, she just, like, went wild.
- 38:29But it was like, really so beautiful to watch her reclaim
- 38:33because it's like she hasn't really been able to shake off
- 38:36the trauma of that experience within her in her own body.
- 38:39But, you know, I'm sharing this because the way that she kind of
- 38:43teaches me or holds me, like Stevie's confidence or Stevie's
- 38:47medicine is all about like confidence and really, really
- 38:50deep knowing, like profound knowing she's, you know, young.
- 38:54But when you're with her, you're like, you feel like you're
- 38:58standing with this cute, very beautiful, sweet kind of
- 39:01ballerina Arabian. Yeah, but you're also standing
- 39:05with this like mysterious kind of like older, like elder
- 39:09samurai sword wielding like, you know, magician dragon or
- 39:14something. And you're like, I'm not kind of
- 39:16feel like you're both. And whenever I've been like, in
- 39:19a place of self doubt or resisting growth, I find that
- 39:24she's been the one that kind of like, will come in and sort of
- 39:27push me. And so even with this experience
- 39:30that's been, you know, hard for all of us, but especially
- 39:33Stevie, I feel like she's held me to this place of like, I'm
- 39:37going to be OK, this big growth for us and we're going to move
- 39:42through it. So yeah, it's like such AI
- 39:45always say to people, like living with your horses and
- 39:47being in like intimate partnership with them is like
- 39:50the greatest gift ever and it's gonna totally challenge you in
- 39:56the biggest ways ever as well. Have you found commonalities
- 40:01between breeds at all? Just because I also have an
- 40:03Arabian and so much of how you're describing Stevie is
- 40:08very. Reminiscent of my Arabian, just
- 40:11like she will do anything you ask her to.
- 40:14She will face anything even if she's like you can see if she's
- 40:18terrified inside and she'll still be willing to do it.
- 40:20Not like my Mustangs. They're like, heck no, don't
- 40:24even try. And so it's really interesting
- 40:27to see to kind of like, here's some of what you were saying
- 40:29about her because it seems a lot like my Arabian, where it's like
- 40:32she's very brave, she's very stoic.
- 40:35Yep. And also, you know, has that fun
- 40:38fire and kind of. Playful.
- 40:41Yeah, and also kind of like an older spirit in a way.
- 40:45Yeah. I mean, I think that, you know,
- 40:47of course there's the ancestry, there's the ancestral breed
- 40:52lines. You know, I always feel like
- 40:54with an Arabian specifically, them being like the oldest breed
- 40:59that they have, that they carry that like old, old, old wisdom.
- 41:04And so it does make sense to me. I think that it is.
- 41:08So it's so funny because I feel like it's always, there's
- 41:11nuance. And if we get, we can get caught
- 41:13up, caught up in there, like, yeah, stereotype, you know?
- 41:16So don't make those compartments.
- 41:18Yes, yeah. So like when we brought Stevie
- 41:21to the vet that morning and the vet and the vet text were like
- 41:25gone Arabian like cuz Arabians just stole them or is not.
- 41:30I have a bad Rep. But like at the end, the best
- 41:34Arabian we've ever met in our lives, she's she isn't, she
- 41:39isn't because it's like, and, you know, I think it's like,
- 41:41like our ancestry, like the same, you know, with humans and
- 41:45like where we come from and what lands we're from.
- 41:47But yeah, I mean, definitely like characteristics.
- 41:50Like even with Dreamer, he's a Medicine Hat.
- 41:53So his markings are the traditional Medicine Hat.
- 41:56I have a friend who also has a Medicine Hat.
- 41:58And when she met Dreamer, she's like, yeah, it's totally a
- 42:01Medicine Hat. Like they are going to take you
- 42:04on a journey of spiritual growth whether you're ready for it or
- 42:08not. It's like they're take you to
- 42:11the edge and Raz is a Tennessee Walker and he definitely has
- 42:15similar qualities that I've heard of.
- 42:17They're similar and you know, Mustangs too.
- 42:20I mean, I'm definitely somewhat new to Mustangs.
- 42:23Like Mustangs were not on my radar at all.
- 42:25Like I've always been very in awe of them and you know, have
- 42:30known for some time about the situation with the wild horse
- 42:34BLM and all this. But I think what it was just
- 42:36like, I think cuz I didn't, we don't have a huge property.
- 42:39We've got like 12 acres For me, I'm like, I need like 5,000,000
- 42:43acres for Mustangs. But I didn't Mustang Immersion
- 42:49in April of last year with Michelle Peterson.
- 42:53Do you? I don't know if you.
- 42:54Oh, yeah, yeah. She's a good friend.
- 42:55And George, who he lives in his name is just George.
- 43:00He's got a last name. He lives in Colorado.
- 43:02But he's, yeah, I've seen him. I haven't.
- 43:04I don't know him personally. Yeah, lovely, lovely soul.
- 43:07Very, very passionate about the Mustangs and protecting them.
- 43:11And so he's got a really special herd of Mustangs.
- 43:14And so I went and did an immersion with them and like,
- 43:17didn't really know why I was going.
- 43:18Like love, Michelle was like, yeah, I'll come, but I don't
- 43:22tend to do group stuff. So it was a little bit out of
- 43:24character for me, but I was like, yeah, I'm just gonna go
- 43:28and just follow what feels like. And I had a really beautiful
- 43:30experience with just being with such a big herd of Mustangs and
- 43:35like being in their frequency because they are so different to
- 43:38domestic horses. So I did, I really just like
- 43:41felt in awe. Like that was the feeling.
- 43:43I'm just like just being with these great spirits.
- 43:46Like they just have such a regal Ness about them.
- 43:49And there were two horses in particular that really impacted
- 43:52me. But one of the horses, she's
- 43:54this beautiful, like Sorrel mayor, just like very big
- 43:58presence and kind of the lead mayor of that heard her name is
- 44:02Khaleesi, perfect name. And she, I, I felt a really big
- 44:06connection with her. And she kept coming up to me.
- 44:09And I had this moment where I was just sitting on the ground
- 44:11and she came up to me and the thought dropped into my mind,
- 44:15One of us is coming to you. And I at the time I was sort of
- 44:18like, I don't, you know, I was just there again, like, yeah,
- 44:23horses like you're having the physical experience and then
- 44:26weeks, days, weeks, months later, you're like, what was
- 44:28that about actually? So I sort of like left not sure
- 44:32what that was. And even after was like, am I
- 44:35supposed to adopt Khaleesi? Like, and I even investigated,
- 44:38you know, I just asked a little bit.
- 44:40But every time I tried to envision her with my herd, I it
- 44:44was just a hard no. Like she would totally disrupt
- 44:46the peace because she is such a powerful mare and my boys, I
- 44:51don't know if they would be done with that.
- 44:53So anyways, I let it be totally like let it go.
- 44:57And then about maybe a week later, a friend of mine reached
- 45:00out shared with me about a Mustang that she would thought
- 45:03could be available for adoption and wondering if I would be
- 45:06interested. And like, I was like, no, I'm
- 45:09not trying to get another see a picture and of Sahara.
- 45:13And I just, I was like, I need to know more.
- 45:15I need to know more. Yeah.
- 45:17So, yeah, it's been so, I mean, she it's been so amazing.
- 45:22She came in July. The way just everything about
- 45:25her journey and like her coming to join us and the impact that
- 45:29she's had on the herd and every single retreat that we've done
- 45:34since she's arrived, she has been at the forefront of really
- 45:38impacting people because she's so special.
- 45:41And the way that she holds herself like her presence, even
- 45:44if you don't touch her like, and that's for me, I'm really
- 45:48strict. May not be the right word, but
- 45:49it might be the right word. I'm really clear with people
- 45:52that when it comes to physical touch with horses, they have to
- 45:55choose, and especially in this kind of space where you're
- 46:00coming into their home and their space.
- 46:02Intentional. You're very intentional.
- 46:05Yeah, yeah, there we go. And I have like Dreamer is like
- 46:08kind of not about touch, like maybe sometimes, but most of the
- 46:12time it's just, it's too much for him.
- 46:14So often times people won't touch Sahara and they'll just be
- 46:18like, you know, I had a woman who's came to visit from
- 46:21Australia. She messaged me the other day.
- 46:22She was here in August. She was Sahara's first retreat.
- 46:25And she's like, I can, I just, I think about that horse daily.
- 46:30It's pretty remarkable. And I'm, and I also feel like
- 46:33especially, I mean with all horses, I feel like when I'm in
- 46:36their presence, I'm just like, thank you for allowing me to, to
- 46:39be in your, you know, but with Mustangs in particular, like
- 46:43Sahara was born in the wild. She was rounded up when she was
- 46:47four or five. So I'm just like mad respect,
- 46:50like really have nothing. And that was my biggest thing
- 46:54with her because her previous owner who adopted her from, from
- 46:58holding, you know, I think good intention, great heart, but like
- 47:02not the right person and had a lot of expectation and agenda,
- 47:09like the OR the Mustang challenge sort of thing.
- 47:13And to me when I'm around, when I'm with Sahara, like she's got
- 47:18so much emotional awareness and intelligence.
- 47:21And I feel like with humans, if you aren't fully aware of your
- 47:26emotions, then for her, she's like, I'm good.
- 47:30And not from a place of like rejecting you, but like kind of
- 47:33what I said before where she's like, I see what's going on and
- 47:36I'm gonna give you your, you know.
- 47:37So I feel like with her, it's like truly, there's my biggest
- 47:42thing is like, I really just want you to feel like you can
- 47:45hunt, be yourself. And it's such an interesting
- 47:48thing because she obviously can't be wild anymore.
- 47:52So I feel like that in and of itself is such an interesting
- 47:54thing to navigate, you know, because that that's like, it's a
- 47:57core wound, right? For like every single Mustang,
- 48:00like being removed from their homeland, their home herd, going
- 48:04through such a traumatic experience, being rounded up or
- 48:08chased and then held. It's like to me, when you have a
- 48:11Mustang that no matter who they're being after and how
- 48:14they're showing up is is incredible.
- 48:16And I think that's also a piece that is like such an impactful
- 48:20thing about horses is that they go through so much with humans
- 48:24often times, and yet they're going to be in relationship is
- 48:28so powerful. Yeah, I agree.
- 48:31Yeah, it is incredible that they want to be with us, especially
- 48:33those horses who have not had good experiences as humans.
- 48:37But even any of them, I'm kind of like, why do you want to be
- 48:41around me? Like, I love that you do, but
- 48:43it's surprising to me still. Yeah, I know it is beautiful.
- 48:48You can feel that there is, I mean, to me, it's like there's
- 48:51a, there's a divine partnership between horses and humans.
- 48:54It's like sacred contract is how I see it.
- 48:57And they're they're, they've been willing to go on this
- 49:00journey with us. I mean, my feeling is that
- 49:03they're leading, they're part of like the a consciousness shift.
- 49:07They're actively a part of it. Like you know what I mean in
- 49:10terms of how like clink things are visibly changing, whether it
- 49:14seems like it's slow or fast or sometimes slow, sometimes fast,
- 49:17like things are visibly changing.
- 49:19And I think they're a part of that shift to me, even just
- 49:22watching a whole, of course, like each of our horses when
- 49:26they arrive here, coming from like the sail barn circuit or
- 49:30sail barn world to like feeling safe, like that disassociation,
- 49:34you know, it's like that whole process is so revealing in terms
- 49:40of like how things, how things are starting to shift for them
- 49:43as well. Yeah.
- 49:44So. Yeah, I think that shift is
- 49:46really neat because like when I first got my Mustang, I was the
- 49:49owner that your horse had probably feeling so much
- 49:52pressure that like you needed to be riding them in 90 days or,
- 49:55you know, you need to be out on the trail with them in 90 days
- 49:57and just really destructive to the relationship.
- 50:00So definitely something that I love is shifting that it's like
- 50:03there's people who have horses that don't ride them or that do
- 50:06these other things with them or that do, you know, just go and
- 50:09sit with them and that those are all things that now it's like
- 50:12you can see that. So you don't have to just see
- 50:13the horses, you know, that are developing really cool skills.
- 50:17Maybe they love it, maybe at their detriment.
- 50:19So I love that there is that shift of our relationship with
- 50:22horses that it doesn't have to be any one thing.
- 50:25It can be kind of what feels good for us, what is working
- 50:28well for horses and talk to us a little bit more about work that
- 50:32you are doing with the horses and with people.
- 50:35What kind of people show up? One from your Instagram that I
- 50:38thought was so interesting was that your husband went out there
- 50:41and finally kind of connected with the horses, which I was
- 50:43like, oh, there's hope. My husbands not a horse person.
- 50:47He fits up with him. He came in the other day and was
- 50:49bringing some chicken food or something.
- 50:51He's like, your horses would not leave me alone.
- 50:54We're just over there, like all in his face.
- 50:55I'm like, so maybe one day there's hope.
- 50:58But yeah, talk to me a little bit more about the work that you
- 51:00do with your horses and with other people.
- 51:02Yeah, with the with the husband piece to my my fairest, my
- 51:06husband like really had no horse experience prior to meeting me.
- 51:11And but it's funny, like his name is Arabic and it actually
- 51:16means horseman, which is very interesting.
- 51:20So I'm like it was written. That sounds like destiny.
- 51:23And when we got married on my family ranch in Alberta and we
- 51:28had our neighbors, two horses, beautiful, like very, very happy
- 51:32Clydesdales that hold the wagon with me.
- 51:36And so, yeah, so horses have been around him, but he got
- 51:40luckily got to like get it was like trickle because in the
- 51:43first chunk of our marriage he just had like small moments
- 51:47before he had the full influx of like living with them.
- 51:50But you know, I think that like to me with Ferris in particular
- 51:54in that experience, like my whole, my whole thing has always
- 51:58just been like, you don't have to do anything with them.
- 52:01You know, if you're drawn to if you're drawn to something, feel
- 52:04free to like let me know. But it's been really sweet
- 52:07because of course, like I always I kind of really teach him the
- 52:11foundations around state just safely being around them and his
- 52:14own, like learning how to be in his own body with that and
- 52:18navigating that because because he had no really background with
- 52:21horses. Definitely like a little bit of
- 52:23normal fear, but that was interesting because it was sort
- 52:27of like one day he was just kind of like, hey, can I, can you,
- 52:31can I come with you out there? And I was like, oh, sure, let's.
- 52:35And it was really so beautiful because it was like the horses
- 52:38were kind of waiting for him to come in that way.
- 52:42And from that video that that was such a unplanned moment that
- 52:47would ended up being very, very deeply impactful for Ferris.
- 52:51I think that it's like their own experience that they get to
- 52:55whether they're open to it or not, you know?
- 52:57Yeah, for sure. I think the piece around horses
- 52:59is that like whether we know or not we feel stuff when we're
- 53:05around horses and maybe we don't, we're not ready to feel
- 53:09what we, you know what I mean? I think that that would be a
- 53:11part of it. Like after sure, without knowing
- 53:14the language or the verbiage around what is actually
- 53:17happening that, you know, now everyone knows like horses,
- 53:20heart fields and, you know, coherence and blah, blah, blah
- 53:23around all this. But it's always been there.
- 53:25We just haven't known what to tell what it is.
- 53:27So. But yeah, in terms of what we
- 53:30do, like our our biggest thing is that we host retreats so
- 53:34people will come and stay on our land.
- 53:36We have two cabins in our back pasture and so you'll stay for
- 53:40three nights, 3 or we can customize it for longer and
- 53:44really like you're just being fully immersed in the space.
- 53:47So I really intuitively customize like what we may work
- 53:52with. And I always say like, just like
- 53:55the horses, I really don't do well with agenda.
- 53:57Maybe someone comes with an intention, but really my biggest
- 54:01thing that I hold is that we're just going to just show up and
- 54:04see what starts to unfold. Because again, like we don't
- 54:08need to have the words for it. The energy knows what to do So.
- 54:12And I'm a big supporter of like having time within your own
- 54:19system, within your own energies, the cabin or start
- 54:21sort of like in A located in an area where you're, you're by
- 54:25yourself, which is really which I love.
- 54:29I would always seek out experiences that like when I was
- 54:32younger, I'm a writer and I'm like, you know, I published 2
- 54:36books for me, like having total silence and like being 100%
- 54:40alone. I'm a manifesto in human design.
- 54:42So it's actually like very important for me where it's just
- 54:45like you're just immersed in your own energy and you kind of
- 54:47get to go on a bit of a journey. So that's really the the design
- 54:52of this place. That's kind of hard to find in
- 54:55the world today. You know, it's like always so
- 54:57around pressing and. Yeah.
- 54:59So my thing is like when you come here, you just kind of like
- 55:03you're sort of invited, slash, forced to let go of control,
- 55:08cook like all of your lunch and dinner and I bring it to your
- 55:10cabin. You have everything that you
- 55:12need for breakfast, coffee, blah, blah, blah.
- 55:15The cabins are so very cute design and very homey and have
- 55:19like tarot Oracle cards, books, like all sorts of books.
- 55:22So that you're just like really in that space of not being
- 55:25distracted and being in the energy of a herd, right?
- 55:29Because like the horses are kind of walking around the cabin.
- 55:32And then we do 2 sessions a day for about two to three hours
- 55:36where we're sometimes it's like we're just working on the
- 55:40energy, like within the energy field of the herd.
- 55:42Sometimes we're actually going and being in the space with the
- 55:45horses and seeing what comes up, who steps forward, what they
- 55:48bring forward, mirroring, reflection, like all all of the
- 55:51things, you know, we kind of pull from all of the pools of
- 55:55knowledge and practice around animal communication, psychic
- 55:59work, healing, somatic work, horse medicine, whatever is
- 56:03available. And it's it's beautiful because
- 56:06I always have people arrive the day before we start because I
- 56:10always feel like the integration and just landing is really
- 56:14important to just just have that time where you unplug from your
- 56:17life. And sometimes it's uncomfortable
- 56:19in the beginning, you know, you're kind of like, Oh, yeah,
- 56:21yeah. Jittery.
- 56:23Coming down, what's the plan today?
- 56:26I'm like nothing. You're just.
- 56:27This is that you're doing it, Yeah.
- 56:29That you can read a book, you can go for a walk, you can sit
- 56:32in meditation, you can drink a lot of.
- 56:34Coffee, like, just so good to have, yeah.
- 56:37Cuz yeah, cuz. It seems like always there's
- 56:40something in the world at large. We're supposed to always have an
- 56:43agenda. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 56:45So that's kind of like the nutshell.
- 56:47And, and we all work together, the horses, myself, my dogs, the
- 56:51birds. Sometimes wildlife comes in and
- 56:54plays a roles and or the land itself.
- 56:56And yeah, it's like I, I call it like a medicine journey.
- 56:59Like it's and I I always loved vision quests, like that idea of
- 57:03you going out into the wild, not bringing your comforts and, and
- 57:07like going on a spiritual journey of being guided or LED
- 57:10to for transformation. So it's a little bit of that,
- 57:14but maybe not as intense cuz I was.
- 57:16Gonna say your stuff sound a lot more comfortable.
- 57:19I'm enjoyable to me. Some comfort, see, I'm not just
- 57:23putting you in the middle of nowhere with a rattlesnake.
- 57:26And then we do, we do other sorts of like, like if you wanna
- 57:29just come for the day or you live close and you wanna do like
- 57:32a 2 hour session. That's yeah.
- 57:35So there's lots of different things.
- 57:36But really it's all just like you're working with me, you're
- 57:39working with my herd. And there's like some rhyme and
- 57:43reason to it. And oftentimes we're just like
- 57:45fully in the unknown, diving in and like letting the horses kind
- 57:49of guide the way. And I always say to people like,
- 57:51it's, I love this because, you know, when I was just working by
- 57:55myself, I was still doing that, but it was just me.
- 57:58But now I get to hold the space with the horses and like, the
- 58:02humility of it is like, I don't know anything and I don't
- 58:05pretend to know everything. And so I really pay attention to
- 58:09what the horses are showing me. And because I know my horses
- 58:12quite well, they, you know, I can kind of infer a lot just
- 58:16based off of what they're doing, how they're responding, who's
- 58:19showing up, what they're saying or sharing with me.
- 58:21It's like they're already kind of giving me a lot of
- 58:23information about what is present for this person, where
- 58:27is their nervous system at? What are they available for,
- 58:30what's going to be too much for them, what might what we be
- 58:32going through together. So yeah.
- 58:35Yeah. Do you find the people that are
- 58:36drawn to your retreats, are they often, are there similarities?
- 58:42Are they often going there because they want healing?
- 58:44Are they just feeling overwhelmed?
- 58:46Are they just curious? It tends to be varied find that
- 58:51some people, I mean, yes to everything you just said.
- 58:56I think that some people and I, I find it's kind of 5050, like
- 59:01some of them are, are horse folks who are interested in just
- 59:06having a different experience with horses.
- 59:08And then like some of the folks are like, don't have none too
- 59:13very little experience with horses, but have always been
- 59:16interested, always been drawn to horses.
- 59:18And I think that I, I, I do notice that there's a good
- 59:21percentage of people who have a similar desire or vision for
- 59:27whether it's like home, having a homestead with horses or living
- 59:30in harmony with horses or rescuing, adopting rescues and
- 59:35just being with them. And so, you know, because I, I
- 59:38think that one piece that I've heard time and time again with
- 59:42myself, myself, and I think this is kind of like in my human
- 59:44design as a manifester, I'm the type of person where I don't
- 59:47wait for permission to do things.
- 59:49I just do it. I just really follow what feels
- 59:51right. And I and I and like kind of
- 59:53rebellious, like if someone tries to control me, then I'm
- 59:55going to do the other thing. And so one thing that my energy
- 59:59field does for people is it kind of does a lot.
- 1:00:01It's like I'm an expander where I do offer them permission.
- 1:00:05Yeah, they're, they're like, oh, I can do this.
- 1:00:08I'm like, yeah, of course you fucking can't.
- 1:00:10I'm not saying it's going to be easy.
- 1:00:11Yeah. You know what I mean?
- 1:00:13It's like. Right.
- 1:00:14Yeah. That for me the most like
- 1:00:17authenticity has always been super important for me.
- 1:00:20I, I really detest performance and like again, it's like horse
- 1:00:24people like incongruence. I sense that really quickly and
- 1:00:27it sends me in the other direction.
- 1:00:29I'm like Sahara. Yeah, I don't want to be around
- 1:00:33here right now. You work on that for a little
- 1:00:35bit. Yeah.
- 1:00:37So I feel like sometimes that's something that people, it's like
- 1:00:41when I went to Hillarys, you know, 15 years ago and was like,
- 1:00:45this is this is it, This is possible.
- 1:00:48And I do notice that more and more people are being drunk on
- 1:00:52to a life like this where, you know, it's like it makes me feel
- 1:00:56really excited because I think that more people being called to
- 1:01:01live with horses. Like if we think about
- 1:01:04historically, you know, pre war people MO, a lot of people had
- 1:01:08horses, didn't they more for youth, whether it was for
- 1:01:12farming or transportation, But that was kind of a normal thing.
- 1:01:17Whereas like nowadays it's not very normal to have horses.
- 1:01:19Like if you're in a group of folks and you say you have
- 1:01:22horses, you're usually, unless you're in a horse community
- 1:01:25that's kind of they're like, oh, wow, you have horses.
- 1:01:27Like that's so cool. You know?
- 1:01:29So I feel like to me, horses like a movement can be or might
- 1:01:34be that more and more people buy land and have horses.
- 1:01:38And you know, one of my like something that was coming up for
- 1:01:41me when I was with Frodo, my horse.
- 1:01:43I haven't mentioned Frodo. No, we haven't talked about him,
- 1:01:45Frodo. He just melts me.
- 1:01:48He's my. He's our oldest.
- 1:01:50He he was at the Bowie auction as well.
- 1:01:53He I always say like, he like entered my heart when I didn't
- 1:01:57know that there was no space for him and he was just like.
- 1:02:00Came in the. Yeah, because I was, Yeah.
- 1:02:05I was really not planning to fall in love with him at all the
- 1:02:09way that I did. And he really like he, he
- 1:02:13impacts everyone that comes because he's just, he is just
- 1:02:16like safety. He just like vibrates safety and
- 1:02:20love. Him and Raziel are similar.
- 1:02:22They're both like, and they kind of work together, which is
- 1:02:24really beautiful. So if Raziel is with someone,
- 1:02:28like working with someone, then Frodo will come and hold the
- 1:02:30space for him and vice versa. So they definitely have similar
- 1:02:34systems. But I would say Frodo is like
- 1:02:36even you, you, I, I will, will lie in front of Frodo with no
- 1:02:40worries like ever. You know, he's just like
- 1:02:43complete safety. And he was a trail.
- 1:02:47What I know was that he was a trail horse.
- 1:02:49I don't know where I've that's the thing with auctions, like
- 1:02:52where did they come from? Feel like he came from pretty
- 1:02:55far somewhere, maybe on the East Coast.
- 1:02:57And he had a torn DDFT, pretty severe ring bone, but like
- 1:03:03pretty progressive arthritis. And it was like we were, it was
- 1:03:06unsure. We were unsure or if he was
- 1:03:09going to be OK, you know, not be able to manage.
- 1:03:13So he was with sweet mercy for a little bit and you know, they
- 1:03:17did injections and and PRP injections and all and all that
- 1:03:21and got his and he helped his tendon get better.
- 1:03:23But so he's like has a lot of physical pain and discomfort.
- 1:03:29He manages that, but he yeah, he's just like a total heart
- 1:03:34horse and he gives like all gets very like deep downloads from
- 1:03:39him. I always call him like a drive
- 1:03:41by shaman. Like you'll be you'll just be
- 1:03:45like sitting down with him and then like he'll just like kind
- 1:03:48of come and be with you for a minute and like deep breathe and
- 1:03:51then walk away and then you'll be like what just happened?
- 1:03:54You know what I mean? Like he's like later or
- 1:03:57something, you know what I mean? He's just like, so I just love
- 1:04:00him to death, but he I was sitting with him the other day
- 1:04:04and you know, like crying and I just had this big feeling that
- 1:04:08more people are going to like there's going to be a change in
- 1:04:12consciousness and our belief systems about horses, where it's
- 1:04:16just going to be normal that you have horses and maybe don't ride
- 1:04:20them because it's just like you just get it's like a gift that
- 1:04:24you get to have these beings just outside and that they're
- 1:04:28there and you like Co create life together and they share
- 1:04:32wisdom with you and they help to harmonize the land and they, you
- 1:04:36know, like all of these incredible gifts that they have.
- 1:04:38And it's not even like a thing, you know, of like, do I ride
- 1:04:42them? Do I not?
- 1:04:44It's just like it just is. And I feel like that's a that's
- 1:04:49something, you know, that I like manifest and vision for the
- 1:04:53horse human world, because and again, it's like, no shade on
- 1:04:55riding. I think that's some riding
- 1:04:58horses is beautiful and I'm very grateful for that experience.
- 1:05:02But I think that that's the piece is like, it just doesn't
- 1:05:04even come up for me. It's not even like a thing that
- 1:05:06I think about. I'm like when people sometimes
- 1:05:09like neighbors will go by or like drive by and be like when
- 1:05:12you go and ride them horses. Yeah.
- 1:05:15And I'm like, you know, it's like it's just an interesting, I
- 1:05:20don't know. It's like an interesting
- 1:05:21consciousness shift. So.
- 1:05:23Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:05:23And I think it is interesting because in the past, like we
- 1:05:25kind of talked about horses were used to like help people live
- 1:05:29their lives to get food or to transportation.
- 1:05:32And I think now one of the biggest needs in the world is
- 1:05:35our emotions and our minds are just so broken right now.
- 1:05:38And I've certainly experienced where it's like you go with a
- 1:05:41horse and it's not even that they necessarily do anything,
- 1:05:44but somehow you figure out like how you can settle your mind and
- 1:05:48find those pieces that you need to bring better things into your
- 1:05:51life and to find the peace or to make the changes that you need
- 1:05:54to make. So I can absolutely see how they
- 1:05:58could. I mean, they are so valuable for
- 1:06:00that, right? It's just like people don't know
- 1:06:01yet. Like I want you to know, I think
- 1:06:03that's a big thing. I felt like I wish more people
- 1:06:05knew that, you know, just spending time with horses like
- 1:06:09you will feel better. US totally, totally.
- 1:06:12So many cool, amazing stories. I mean, every every day, yeah,
- 1:06:16every day. I feel like I'm so moved by
- 1:06:18like, and that's I think it's like living with horses.
- 1:06:22It's like there's a repetitiveness to the the
- 1:06:26routine, you know, of like, yeah, feed the horses, pick up
- 1:06:30the poo, do the things, fill the water, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:06:33But there's like it's like constant miracles at the same
- 1:06:37time. And I think also the piece that
- 1:06:40is, you know, kind of like the beauty, the gift, it's like
- 1:06:45even, you know, it's like that the, the idea of like chop wood,
- 1:06:48carry water, right? Like horses are very routine
- 1:06:52based beings, you know, like in terms of the cycles, like
- 1:06:56they're very in tune with nature and they follow this.
- 1:06:58And so I feel like when, when we live with horses, we do get
- 1:07:02brought into that deeper connection with nature, because
- 1:07:05if we're, if we're living with them in a way where we're
- 1:07:08actually interacting with them and, and participating in their
- 1:07:11care and guardianship. I think it's different if you
- 1:07:14just like, they're just out and you not, don't ever really go to
- 1:07:17them unless you're going to ask something of them, which is I
- 1:07:21think sometimes what some folks with horses that have like a
- 1:07:23huge property and they just, they're on grass, they have pond
- 1:07:26for water, That's it. We just go and get them to ride
- 1:07:28or to, you know, for the ferry or for the vet.
- 1:07:31So I think that like that is also another aspect of being in
- 1:07:36partnership with horses is like that deep invitation to be more
- 1:07:40in connection with nature and to to be in more presence with our
- 1:07:45own nature. You know, and that's like, it is
- 1:07:47that piece because like you just said, it's like they're always
- 1:07:51going to show us what's true, Whether it's like, I'm actually,
- 1:07:55you know, like maybe Steve is a good example of this.
- 1:07:58Like all I won't know that I'm tired and maybe feeling a little
- 1:08:03bit spicy until she like checks me, whether she like nibbles me
- 1:08:07on the side or like, you know, slows down the process.
- 1:08:10And then OK, I'm actually not feeling good right now.
- 1:08:14You know, so I feel like they're it's like I always say, like
- 1:08:18horses are like tuning forks, like they're going to they are,
- 1:08:20they're going to show you what's out of alignment and then like
- 1:08:23help to bring it back into alignment.
- 1:08:25If you're willing to meet them there.
- 1:08:29But yeah, we've had it where our horses are right outside our
- 1:08:32front door. So it's like you're just,
- 1:08:34they're just there. I mean, yeah, it was wild.
- 1:08:38How before I really started, before we started the retreats,
- 1:08:43Frodo used to just be by himself.
- 1:08:45So he was in like the house paddock.
- 1:08:47And if I was ever in here doing sessions, I would start to hear
- 1:08:51like, stomping and I'd look out through the window.
- 1:08:54And Frodo has positioned himself like parallel to the wall.
- 1:08:57Only when I'm doing sessions, like reading things.
- 1:08:59And he's like, I'm holding the energy.
- 1:09:02I'm here with you. You know, I was like talking to
- 1:09:05a friend. You go away.
- 1:09:07But it's like if I was in a reading or a session and I feel
- 1:09:10like he's like, bring it outside.
- 1:09:12I'm right here. Come on, you're making this
- 1:09:14harder than it needs to be. He's like, if I could be in the
- 1:09:17house, I would, you know? So yeah, it's, it's just, it's
- 1:09:20so mad. It's like, and I think that that
- 1:09:22for me is like doing this, living this life and and doing
- 1:09:26this in this way is like really about reconnecting to that inner
- 1:09:29child because. Yeah.
- 1:09:31And it's funny how sometimes I feel more, more my younger self
- 1:09:36now than ever before because I really am living the way that I
- 1:09:40I wanted to. And like, sometimes experiences
- 1:09:44of. But then we'll get pulled from
- 1:09:46it. Yeah.
- 1:09:46This is like this is it. This is that inner child dream.
- 1:09:49Or just like the horses are right out the door spending all
- 1:09:52the day in my paddock. Like, amazing, right?
- 1:09:54What we all kind of hope for is to go back to our childhood when
- 1:09:57life felt simple and peaceful and yeah, at least those moments
- 1:10:01in our childhood, childhood. Not that all childhoods are like
- 1:10:03that, but no, totally. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:10:05And just that piece of living with the horses I think is so
- 1:10:08interesting 'cause you talked about picking up manure or
- 1:10:10whatever. Sometimes those are the places
- 1:10:13where I'm like and I just got what I needed, but you know,
- 1:10:16while you're cleaning up poo. Yeah, yeah, picking up poo is
- 1:10:20one of the most meditative and like expanding experiences.
- 1:10:24Yeah, it's yeah. It's really interesting.
- 1:10:27Yeah. How many horses do you have?
- 1:10:29I'm just curious. I have four OK and then three of
- 1:10:32them are Mustangs and then one Arabian.
- 1:10:34And where are you? Colorado.
- 1:10:36You're in Colorado. OK, Tell.
- 1:10:38Everyone where they can find you, how they can take advantage
- 1:10:41of the work that you're doing. I love it.
- 1:10:43Yeah, so my website is channeled by chloe.com and my Instagram is
- 1:10:48channeled by Chloe and our ranch Instagram is 3 Spirit ranch.
- 1:10:52I tend to like share on both if it's like stuff to do with
- 1:10:55retreats and whatnot. But yeah, I'm I'm a I'm a one
- 1:10:58woman show. So like if you message or e-mail
- 1:11:01or whatever like you'll, you get access to me, not a robot, which
- 1:11:05is. Different.
- 1:11:05I know, I know it's. And.
- 1:11:08I it's not like that with everybody.
- 1:11:10It's so funny. I've like always resisted the
- 1:11:13efficiency, you know, like just being inefficient.
- 1:11:15It's just like, I'm old. I'm kind of old school.
- 1:11:18I'm definitely like an old woman and A and a younger person.
- 1:11:22Yeah. Last woman that was here for a
- 1:11:24treat, she was like, you're are you an elder?
- 1:11:26I'm like, maybe, yeah, that as a child.
- 1:11:29But yeah, so and everything that you know, I like, I always will
- 1:11:34share videos and stuff like I love, I've always enjoyed
- 1:11:37Instagram. I've, if you look at my, I've
- 1:11:39got like 8000 posts or something because I've been creating and
- 1:11:43posting on there for, you know, 10 plus years.
- 1:11:45And I always have loved it because it's a really great
- 1:11:49place for me to kind of like download, drop a little piece of
- 1:11:52writing. And I do enjoy sharing, you
- 1:11:55know, for me, being able to like share little snippets of our
- 1:11:59herd and our horses and to know that people like when Stevie had
- 1:12:03her accident, it was really like moving to see how many people
- 1:12:09like love her. You know, even people have never
- 1:12:12met her because her and, you know, they felt her presence
- 1:12:15from afar. And like, I know so many people
- 1:12:17were like sending prayers and like holding, holding the vision
- 1:12:21of her healing and like he's sending Reiki.
- 1:12:23It was so beautiful to receive that and to to witness like the
- 1:12:27impact, the ripple effect of Stevie to be who she is and
- 1:12:31like, share that. So, yeah.
- 1:12:32So everything that is on Instagram, so it's written by
- 1:12:35me. It's such a stupid thing, but
- 1:12:36like, it's kind of a thing nowadays, isn't it?
- 1:12:38Yeah, I know it totally is. You can usually tell, but so.
- 1:12:43I feel like it's getting harder and harder but.
- 1:12:46I, I think it is. I mean, they're trying to get
- 1:12:47more sophisticated. It's a weird, sad, interesting.
- 1:12:51I don't have to change. Time.
- 1:12:52It's an interesting and then I have a shop called Nightwing
- 1:12:57Goods where I sell like all sorts of magical mystical goods.
- 1:13:00So I create a lot of my own candles.
- 1:13:03And so we have like horse medicine candles that are
- 1:13:05representative of each horse and apparel and all sorts of fun.
- 1:13:10I do like a lot of paintings and channeled horse paintings and
- 1:13:14stuff. And I also have my book there.
- 1:13:16If you're interested in reading more about my story, like the
- 1:13:194th, I would say like the first half of my stories, my psychic
- 1:13:23memoir, and it's called Revealed by Darkness.
- 1:13:26So yeah, lots of fun stuff. I always love talking to new
- 1:13:30people because I feel like it opens up, it opens up a space
- 1:13:34also for new information to come through.
- 1:13:36You know, even for myself as I'm speaking, I'm like, yeah, that
- 1:13:39like, that makes sense, you know, So it's always fun.
- 1:13:43So thank you. It was great talking to you and
- 1:13:45I love what you're doing. I especially loved the piece you
- 1:13:48talked about how you kind of give people permission to.
- 1:13:52Yeah. You know, be themselves or
- 1:13:54follow the path that maybe like you can kind of feel inside, but
- 1:13:57everyone's like, no, that's crazy.
- 1:13:59We definitely took some crazy steps in our life that people
- 1:14:02are like, what are you doing? Yes.
- 1:14:04And so to open that up for people, I think is incredible
- 1:14:07because I'm definitely a semi recovered people pleaser, you
- 1:14:11know, trying to like fit in those boxes.
- 1:14:12So to have that space where you can kind of be free again.
- 1:14:15And you kind of talked about childhood and I think that's a
- 1:14:17lot of what child, but is when you're just like outside, you
- 1:14:20know, being open to the world and just kind of being there.
- 1:14:24And I think we lose so much of that.
- 1:14:26And that's really what as you were describing what you offer
- 1:14:28people that seem to be like it's a place where you can go and
- 1:14:32kind of reconnect with yourself. You know, so much in the world
- 1:14:34pulls us away from that or tells us like, no, that part is not
- 1:14:38right. So kind of push that asides.
- 1:14:41I love that you provide that for people and just an opportunity
- 1:14:44for people to see horses and a different way to live with them.
- 1:14:47I think that is I have kind of a love hate with social media, you
- 1:14:51know, with having kids and stuff.
- 1:14:53But I do love that aspect of it that we can see inside other
- 1:14:55people's lives. There are other ways to live
- 1:14:58that maybe is not typical. You're not seeing all the time,
- 1:15:01but maybe that feels what's right for you.
- 1:15:03So it's cool to be able to see that and see the work you're
- 1:15:06doing with horses. And it was great to chat with
- 1:15:08you and thanks so much for being here.
- 1:15:09Yeah. Thank you so much.
