Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, it is week four of college football.
- 0:02Speaker 1: Absolutely dialed slate. Six top 25 matchups. It's going to
- 0:06Speaker 1: be absolutely incredible. As always, the commissioner of college football,
- 0:08Speaker 1: Josh Spade, is here. Will he see? Will he come back?
- 0:11Speaker 1: Will he not? Time will tell, but I will say
- 0:13Speaker 1: history says Willie C is never down. Now, last week, FanDuel,
- 0:17Speaker 1: it's your most rewarding season ever. We absolutely love that.
- 0:19Speaker 1: And they're giving bonus bets to the fans that watch
- 0:22Speaker 1: the show and comment their Twitter username in the comment section.
- 0:25Speaker 1: So it's beautiful every single week. We got three winners here.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Let's go with the first one. It is going to
- 0:30Speaker 1: be the Lou 08, probably from Missouri. All right. At
- 0:35Speaker 1: the bottom, you see 100, 1,500, 1,250, and a re-roll. $ 1, 000!
- 0:41Speaker 1: Let's go! $ 1, 000 from the FanDuel Sportsbook. The next person
- 0:49Speaker 1: up is Kip Kripler, 90. All right. I kind of
- 0:54Speaker 1: got this little board dialed right now. Here we go,
- 0:59Speaker 1: three for three, ladies and gentlemen. You need some money.
- 1:03Speaker 1: You need some money. Bailey, but Cam is your next
- 1:06Speaker 1: winner right here. Let's see what bonus bet you will
- 1:09Speaker 1: be getting. $ 1, 000, three in a row. Got to have it.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Come on, boys.
- 1:15Speaker 2: $ 100.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Listen, still $ 100.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Still $ 100 in bonus bets.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Good to see you, FanDuel. Your most rewarding season ever, boys.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Let's have a hell of a show. You guys have
- 1:24Speaker 1: been watching. We've been enjoying the hell out of it.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Let's get after it.
- 1:43Speaker 4: Welcome back to another episode of The Locker Room. The
- 1:46Speaker 4: boys are back. We're going to get into the four
- 1:48Speaker 4: leaderboard here in a second. But just a reminder, we
- 1:51Speaker 4: are brought to you by the number one sportsbook in America,
- 1:53Speaker 4: the FanDuel Sportsbook. Papa Payton, if you are watching right now,
- 1:56Speaker 4: I'm going to need you to buckle in so you
- 1:59Speaker 4: can feel the passion of this ad read. So you
- 2:02Speaker 4: can feel this love of the FanDuel Sportsbook. Before we
- 2:05Speaker 4: get into the gaming aspect of it all, just a reminder,
- 2:09Speaker 4: gamble responsibly. They have a bunch of tools, a bunch
- 2:12Speaker 4: of resources.
- 2:13Speaker 5: Just go to.
- 2:14Speaker 1: FanDuel.com slash gamble.
- 2:16Speaker 5: Play with the plan.
- 2:17Speaker 4: There's also a responsible gaming section in the app that
- 2:19Speaker 4: you can go touch that tab to learn how to
- 2:21Speaker 4: gamble responsibly. Now, guys, every week, this is free, what
- 2:27Speaker 4: I'm telling you. This is free, this is free, this
- 2:30Speaker 4: is free. FanDuel is doing a college football pick-em, where
- 2:34Speaker 4: the boys... We bet against the spread on 10 games.
- 2:38Speaker 4: 10 game spread.
- 2:40Speaker 5: You can, for free, go pick against us.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Bet against us. If you go 10 for 10, you're
- 2:45Speaker 1: going to get a share of a $ 500, 000 jackpot. Again,
- 2:47Speaker 1: free to play.
- 2:47Speaker 4: You go 10 for 10, you get a share of
- 2:49Speaker 4: a $ 500, 000 jackpot.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And last week, we had 192 customers do just that
- 2:51Speaker 1: to where they got $ 2, 605 in their account. A piece?
- 2:53Speaker 1: A piece. Wow. A piece, Josh. For free. Our board
- 3:04Speaker 1: doesn't even have that in the back there.
- 3:06Speaker 5: I didn't even read that. I felt that.
- 3:07Speaker 1: The fun doesn't stop there. It doesn't?
- 3:10Speaker 5: If you beat just one of us, just one of
- 3:13Speaker 5: us three in our 10 games, you're going to get
- 3:16Speaker 5: a profit boost token that you can play with.
- 3:18Speaker 1: On average... If you just get four games right, you
- 3:22Speaker 1: will get a profit boost token on average.
- 3:24Speaker 4: After last week, five. On average. I went four out
- 3:28Speaker 4: of ten. Josh Pate went seven out of ten. Excellent
- 3:31Speaker 4: performance by Josh Pate. Good week for Josh Pate. Right
- 3:33Speaker 4: behind him, six for ten. And Willie C went four
- 3:36Speaker 4: for ten. But if you just pick five of those
- 3:37Speaker 4: against the spread picks right, you would be getting a
- 3:40Speaker 4: profit boost token. And that is all for free, ladies
- 3:42Speaker 4: and gentlemen.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:43Speaker 4: But bet with FanDuel, the number one sportsbook in the game.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Am I missing any more fun to be had? Dropping
- 3:49Speaker 4: your name or giving away money at the top of
- 3:51Speaker 4: the show?
- 3:52Speaker 1: Can I say one thing about FanDuel? There's a new
- 3:56Speaker 1: little tab in FanDuel, the community section. If you go
- 3:59Speaker 1: to that and you spell T-A-Y-L-O-R-L-E-W-A-N, you can follow my
- 4:04Speaker 1: picks every single week. And I, Klump told us about
- 4:08Speaker 1: it yesterday. I got to be honest, I'm juiced up
- 4:10Speaker 1: about starting a little community in the FanDuel app. I'm
- 4:12Speaker 1: juiced up about having a little community, put one there,
- 4:14Speaker 1: and the first bet I put in there, there's no
- 4:16Speaker 1: guarantees in life. I feel so great about that one.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I'll get to it later in the show, but it's
- 4:21Speaker 1: my favorite bet.
- 4:21Speaker 5: Of the week. Just tickle our balls and tease us
- 4:23Speaker 5: a little bit.
- 4:23Speaker 1: A little something there. A little something there. Get to
- 4:25Speaker 1: it later in the show. Later in the show. I'm
- 4:27Speaker 1: going to call you right now and look at it.
- 4:28Speaker 5: What's that?
- 4:28Speaker 1: You share your bet slip on there. They can call
- 4:30Speaker 1: you right now. Yeah, I'm going to share my bet slip,
- 4:32Speaker 1: but I'm telling you that first one that I put
- 4:33Speaker 1: in there. Yes, Josh Payton.
- 4:35Speaker 5: That means you all win together, right?
- 4:37Speaker 1: Always. Oh.
- 4:39Speaker 5: Does that also mean you lose together?
- 4:41Speaker 1: That's a great question, Josh. Let me ask you a question.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Have you ever played cards before? Yeah, with Meemaw. Okay,
- 4:47Speaker 1: you played cards with Meemaw. We've played craps. We've done Baccarat.
- 4:50Speaker 1: We've done Blackjack. We've all been at a Blackjack table
- 4:53Speaker 1: before where we sit there and there's five people and
- 4:56Speaker 1: Will wins, you win, I lose, Klomp loses. And then
- 4:59Speaker 1: it's kind of like this awkward, like, oh, man. Yeah,
- 5:02Speaker 1: it's good for them, but I wish I would have
- 5:03Speaker 1: won something. This is essentially Baccarat. This is craps where
- 5:06Speaker 1: we can sit there, have a vibe, hang out, and
- 5:09Speaker 1: we win and lose together. And we're doing it responsibly.
- 5:12Speaker 1: So at the end of the day, we walk away
- 5:13Speaker 1: with great box. So what is there to lose?
- 5:16Speaker 5: You felt that.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I needed that.
- 5:17Speaker 5: I just wanted you to feel it.
- 5:18Speaker 4: But it's also a little bit against the Baccarat because
- 5:21Speaker 4: to me, it'll be faders that are following me. It's like, oh,
- 5:23Speaker 4: Willie C's got a profile. It's time to go win.
- 5:27Speaker 4: So mine's more of a community. Yours is more of
- 5:30Speaker 4: a war.
- 5:30Speaker 1: A war that takes place on a daily basis.
- 5:32Speaker 5: Yeah, because I'm down.
- 5:34Speaker 4: This Ford Leaderboard segment is brought to you by Ford.
- 5:38Speaker 4: A hard day's work happens when there's someone willing to
- 5:42Speaker 4: do it. And where there's a Will, there's a Ford
- 5:44Speaker 4: F1 series truck.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Let's get into the segment. Let's take a look at that.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Let's look at the Ford leaderboard real quick. It seems
- 5:50Speaker 1: like Josh Bate had the biggest weekend. Had an eight-unit weekend.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Round of applause for Josh Bate. And the tale of
- 5:57Speaker 1: two cities. Will had a negative nine-unit weekend. All good.
- 6:01Speaker 1: We'll golf clap that. We'll golf clap that. The live
- 6:04Speaker 1: studio audience is not into it as much. Dude, it's
- 6:07Speaker 1: early in the season. There's nothing really to... worry about
- 6:11Speaker 1: just yet. I was saying before, maybe take a bigger
- 6:13Speaker 1: swing at those parlets.
- 6:15Speaker 5: He says no.
- 6:15Speaker 1: He says he's one weekend away. He's going to nickel
- 6:17Speaker 1: and dime, dude.
- 6:18Speaker 5: He's one weekend away.
- 6:18Speaker 1: You're running the football.
- 6:21Speaker 5: We got to respond.
- 6:22Speaker 2: He's Mississippi State. He's down 16-0. He's not panicking.
- 6:25Speaker 1: We lost the weekend.
- 6:26Speaker 5: You were nasty.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Don't wink at me after you said that. You know
- 6:29Speaker 1: who's sitting in this audience right now.
- 6:31Speaker 2: I was winking at someone through you. I want you
- 6:33Speaker 2: to deliver the wink because you know I can't look
- 6:34Speaker 2: him in the eye and do that. I love him
- 6:36Speaker 2: too much.
- 6:36Speaker 1: That's what we're doing.
- 6:37Speaker 5: Hey, JP.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I want you to know how Josh Pate acts on
- 6:40Speaker 1: this show has nothing to do with your and I's relationship.
- 6:43Speaker 1: And I'm sorry that happened to you. Who is Josh Pate?
- 6:46Speaker 5: Exactly. That's blood money he won this last week.
- 6:48Speaker 1: JP, we've moved on.
- 6:50Speaker 5: We've moved on.
- 6:52Speaker 1: We lost the weekend. Texas A & M lost. You
- 6:55Speaker 1: think they packed it up? Two years ago, Notre Dame
- 6:57Speaker 1: lost to Northern Illinois.
- 6:59Speaker 5: Made it to the playoffs.
- 6:59Speaker 4: If you've got a competitive bone in your body, the boys,
- 7:02Speaker 4: we've moved on, man.
- 7:03Speaker 5: We're going to the next weekend. We're not going to
- 7:05Speaker 5: sit here and piss and moan about it.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Yeah. We lost the weekend. The problem is. We still
- 7:08Speaker 1: got 75% left.
- 7:09Speaker 5: In the season.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Yeah. Josh Payton went in like Michael Myers because Spooktober
- 7:12Speaker 1: was right around the corner and stabbed JP in the
- 7:14Speaker 1: back week one or last week. This week, he could
- 7:17Speaker 1: take multiple bodies with him based on how he picks
- 7:20Speaker 1: this one of the games on the slate. In fairness,
- 7:23Speaker 1: he did say he helped South Carolina one by three points.
- 7:26Speaker 1: In fairness. In fairness.
- 7:27Speaker 5: That was nothing.
- 7:29Speaker 1: I know it means nothing to you. I'm just, you know.
- 7:31Speaker 2: But I guess in retrospect, you would far prefer that
- 7:34Speaker 2: to what actually happened.
- 7:35Speaker 5: No, man, I prefer reality.
- 7:36Speaker 1: We needed this. There's a reason for this loss.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I want you to look me in the eye and
- 7:39Speaker 2: tell me you would rather have lost last weekend than won.
- 7:42Speaker 5: I want you to say that again for everyone.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Oh, live in the past, man. Of course.
- 7:46Speaker 5: I watched Beamer's press conference.
- 7:48Speaker 1: You don't have to recite the transcript of his press conference.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I saw it. I want to know how you feel.
- 7:53Speaker 5: I mean, I want to win every week.
- 7:56Speaker 1: And this week is Alabama. Last week doesn't do anything
- 7:59Speaker 1: for me.
- 8:00Speaker 5: Fair enough.
- 8:00Speaker 1: You're right. This week is Alabama. I guess I wanted
- 8:02Speaker 1: to win last week and I would have won by three.
- 8:05Speaker 1: We had Darius Rucker on the show. I saw that.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Dolphin shirt.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Dolphin shirt. Bigger South Carolina fan. And he speaks the
- 8:12Speaker 1: exact same way as JP. Like all of Cock Nation
- 8:15Speaker 1: operates the way JP does. He is a voice of
- 8:16Speaker 1: the nation.
- 8:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:18Speaker 1: It's insane to see. It's a big one this week.
- 8:20Speaker 1: We got Peyton versus... Huge one.
- 8:22Speaker 5: Versus JP. This is like a little bus and bowl.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Is it over? Feel.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Huh?
- 8:27Speaker 1: Is it over between... I thought we were done. Josh
- 8:29Speaker 1: and JP, the feud is over. Their teams are going
- 8:31Speaker 1: at it this week. Well, I just heard that you
- 8:32Speaker 1: guys have moved on. Yeah, we will.
- 8:34Speaker 4: I've moved on from being down nine units. Yeah, that's
- 8:38Speaker 4: a fart in the wind.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely. You take the rear view mirror off your
- 8:40Speaker 1: car when you drive around this week. You don't look
- 8:43Speaker 1: behind you. I got a question. How about your boy,
- 8:45Speaker 1: Joey McGuire? He's going to have that pressure. And I
- 8:49Speaker 1: kind of didn't know how to read it for a second.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I'm like, I think it's all love. I guess. But
- 8:55Speaker 1: it didn't feel like it. I guess. Did he mention
- 8:57Speaker 1: you by name?
- 8:57Speaker 2: I just put positivity out into the world. And then
- 8:59Speaker 2: this is what gets returned to me. Yeah, he mentioned
- 9:01Speaker 2: me by name.
- 9:02Speaker 5: I was a little aggressive. I'm sorry.
- 9:03Speaker 2: You didn't do anything wrong. Yes, he mentioned me by name.
- 9:07Speaker 2: I picked Houston to cover. I picked Texas Tech to win.
- 9:11Speaker 2: It plays out precisely as I predicted. I feel good
- 9:14Speaker 2: Friday night. I'm going to bed. We've got a big
- 9:16Speaker 2: day Saturday. I wake up. First off, Joey has texted me,
- 9:19Speaker 2: amongst several others. His text is just verbatim what he
- 9:23Speaker 2: said at his press conference. Everyone else is, did you
- 9:25Speaker 2: see Joey's press conference? So I'm like, I don't have
- 9:28Speaker 2: contact lenses in yet. I pull up the Texas Tech
- 9:30Speaker 2: press conference.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Boom.
- 9:32Speaker 5: Calls me out. Keep picking against us.
- 9:35Speaker 1: He's my buddy and all. Keep picking against us. Keep
- 9:37Speaker 1: it up, Peyton.
- 9:38Speaker 2: And then Rich Eisen clipped that and sent it to
- 9:40Speaker 2: me as a text tone for when Joey texted me
- 9:42Speaker 2: from now on.
- 9:42Speaker 5: Oh, no. I don't even know. What am I supposed
- 9:44Speaker 5: to do?
- 9:45Speaker 2: I said they don't look like they've looked so far
- 9:48Speaker 2: through three games that they looked like last year.
- 9:49Speaker 5: I'm right, I think. Yeah.
- 9:52Speaker 2: I said the Big 12's fairly wide open. I'm right,
- 9:54Speaker 2: I think. We're third of the way, quarter of the
- 9:57Speaker 2: way through the season.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Yeah, just a quarter. So yeah, it's just.
- 10:00Speaker 5: It's not icy. It's just frosty.
- 10:02Speaker 1: You've always said you'd rather be right than make friends.
- 10:05Speaker 1: And it seems like you're doing that.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe I need to go the route of, I
- 10:09Speaker 2: think I'd just rather lose. I'd rather lose than win.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Maybe I need to go that route.
- 10:14Speaker 1: It's a good route. It's a fun route. It's a
- 10:19Speaker 1: fun route. A lot of faders. A lot of faders
- 10:21Speaker 1: hanging out in the community. A couple callbacks. This is
- 10:23Speaker 1: where I kind of bow out because my eyes are terrible.
- 10:25Speaker 1: You guys are going to have to read these.
- 10:26Speaker 5: I got you right here.
- 10:28Speaker 1: There's no way anybody can read that.
- 10:29Speaker 5: Aaron Walsh, 72-25. William B. Compton, getting his LinkedIn headshot
- 10:35Speaker 5: taken today. Got me ready to draft an executive summary.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I don't know what that, I don't know. It was
- 10:41Speaker 1: because you were wearing the Nebraska polo last week. Okay.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Don't apologize for looking good. Don't ever apologize.
- 10:46Speaker 1: You're a professional.
- 10:47Speaker 5: He clearly whiffed. You know what I mean?
- 10:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:50Speaker 1: And he had to do it on the show. Usually
- 10:52Speaker 1: whiffs just don't make it to the show. That one.
- 10:54Speaker 5: His girlfriend's sitting next to him watching right now and
- 10:56Speaker 5: she's like, I don't know if that went.
- 10:57Speaker 1: And he laughed and showed her and she goes, oh yeah. No, no,
- 10:59Speaker 1: the boys like me. The boys just have fun.
- 11:03Speaker 5: They just don't laugh a lot.
- 11:04Speaker 1: They're always like that. Can you actually read that? from
- 11:08Speaker 1: this far away? Yeah, Hot Minuto. Hot Minuto. Such a...
- 11:14Speaker 1: Hang on. That's not on you. That's not on you.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Let's get the thing right.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Such a fun show to throw on while getting errands
- 11:21Speaker 4: done or knocking out a workout. Taylor does his homework,
- 11:23Speaker 4: which I respect. Will is the vibes guy. And Josh
- 11:26Speaker 4: feels like... Josh feels like that Brad Pitt scene in
- 11:29Speaker 4: Ocean's Eleven where he's teaching the actors at the table
- 11:32Speaker 4: how to play poker.
- 11:33Speaker 1: It started so nice. It started so nice. It started
- 11:36Speaker 1: so nice. It's kind of true, though. That's good. No
- 11:40Speaker 1: notes for me. Yeah. I mean, the way that references
- 11:43Speaker 1: you to Brad Pitt, it's like, yeah, you'll take it.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I'll take it. I'll take it. Perfect.
- 11:46Speaker 5: No problem. Josh makes everything sound very good.
- 11:48Speaker 1: He does. Yeah, he speaks politically.
- 11:50Speaker 5: And I am vibes. Made that Auburn under sound great
- 11:52Speaker 5: last week.
- 11:53Speaker 2: And there we are with the winner in the mid-40s.
- 11:56Speaker 1: I feel the same way about Mississippi State in Minnesota
- 11:58Speaker 1: a couple weeks ago.
- 11:58Speaker 4: But also, like, if you're telling me Florida's going to
- 12:02Speaker 4: run the ball over 50 times and they're going to
- 12:04Speaker 4: have 16 penalties, that feels like an under game.
- 12:08Speaker 1: And this, you have Jaden Baugh. And Jaden Baugh is
- 12:11Speaker 1: the best back in college football right now.
- 12:13Speaker 5: Really? It was only two carries that popped.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Really? He had another touchdown, a 60-yard touchdown that got
- 12:19Speaker 1: called back via another penalty. Oh, so that one didn't count.
- 12:22Speaker 1: He has the most broken tackles in all of college football.
- 12:25Speaker 1: And he's playing against a team this year that has
- 12:27Speaker 1: the most missed tackles.
- 12:28Speaker 5: What I'm hearing is I was basically right.
- 12:30Speaker 1: What you're hearing is you were wrong. But their stats,
- 12:34Speaker 1: and I'm starting to feel like stats lie.
- 12:36Speaker 2: All the time, and the kids and coaches screw up
- 12:38Speaker 2: all the time.
- 12:39Speaker 1: That's fair.
- 12:40Speaker 5: It's going to happen again this year.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Is it?
- 12:42Speaker 5: Looks that way.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Do we want to get into the game? Should we
- 12:44Speaker 1: start talking a little bit of all?
- 12:45Speaker 5: Let's talk some more.
- 12:46Speaker 1: It's loaded. The first one I'm looking at here is
- 12:49Speaker 1: Texas at Tennessee. This is where Buston and Payne on
- 12:51Speaker 1: campus will be from 2 to 3 Eastern on Friday
- 12:54Speaker 1: before this game. This is where the don't tread on me,
- 12:56Speaker 1: don't tread on Saturdays.
- 12:58Speaker 5: Tour is going.
- 12:59Speaker 1: I think we move away from this one. I think
- 13:01Speaker 1: we hold this one. Don't start with that one. Don't
- 13:03Speaker 1: start with that one. Let's go to Oklahoma at Georgia.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Georgia's favored by 13.5 points. The total in that game
- 13:09Speaker 1: is 48.5. Where are we sitting, boys? How are we feeling?
- 13:17Speaker 2: Pass. So last night, we were breaking this game down
- 13:21Speaker 2: on my show, and I had Jesse click on the
- 13:24Speaker 2: more wagers part here because I wanted to know what
- 13:26Speaker 2: Oklahoma's team total was. And last night, I believe it
- 13:30Speaker 2: was at 14.5. And I'm asking myself, self, how does
- 13:35Speaker 2: Oklahoma score 16 points? Because that's essentially what we're saying
- 13:38Speaker 2: they're going to get to here if they hit the over.
- 13:40Speaker 2: And this is kind of like when Oklahoma played Michigan
- 13:42Speaker 2: a couple of weeks ago. The first half total is
- 13:45Speaker 2: still 14 and a half. The first half total was
- 13:47Speaker 2: over under 21 and a half, which I thought was insane.
- 13:50Speaker 2: So like my favorite bet on the game was the
- 13:53Speaker 2: first half under. I think my favorite bet on this
- 13:55Speaker 2: game is probably Oklahoma team total under 14 and a half.
- 13:58Speaker 2: and just take all the nonsense out of it, but
- 14:01Speaker 2: that's not how we roll on the show.
- 14:03Speaker 1: So- But you kind of just got your bet out
- 14:04Speaker 1: there for people.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Well, I did.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Are you going to bet the bet you just said
- 14:07Speaker 1: that we're not going to roll that way on the
- 14:08Speaker 1: show on?
- 14:08Speaker 5: I already bet it.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Okay, so it's already bet.
- 14:10Speaker 5: As soon as I got off the show last night,
- 14:11Speaker 5: I bet it, yeah.
- 14:12Speaker 1: That was how to get done right.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I just have no confidence. There are two teams
- 14:14Speaker 2: going on the road this week in the SEC. One
- 14:16Speaker 2: of them we'll get to later. One of them we're
- 14:17Speaker 2: on right now. It doesn't really take a whole lot
- 14:20Speaker 2: of analysis. I don't really know how you dive deep
- 14:23Speaker 2: in the X's and O's right now. Oklahoma's bad- There
- 14:27Speaker 2: are several instances of returning quarterbacks in the SEC that
- 14:31Speaker 2: seem like they've regressed. They didn't even stay the same.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Nope, nope, nope. I didn't mention anybody by name. I
- 14:38Speaker 1: didn't mention anybody by name.
- 14:39Speaker 5: You didn't.
- 14:40Speaker 2: I may have given an accurate scouting report, which led
- 14:42Speaker 2: you to believe I was talking about someone, but I
- 14:44Speaker 2: didn't mention anyone by name.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Except for John Mateer. Well, look, I was all in
- 14:48Speaker 1: on John Mateer.
- 14:49Speaker 5: You were.
- 14:50Speaker 1: You loved him.
- 14:52Speaker 5: And he's screwed up so far this year.
- 14:54Speaker 1: So far. And so.
- 14:55Speaker 2: because of him, I look bad, which is not fair
- 14:58Speaker 2: to me.
- 14:58Speaker 1: But I gotta wear it.
- 15:00Speaker 2: So I'm gonna take Georgia minus 13 and a half.
- 15:02Speaker 2: I'm gonna take two units on that. And I think
- 15:05Speaker 2: Georgia could probably handle that by scoring 24, just to
- 15:09Speaker 2: be safe.
- 15:10Speaker 5: Get 24 on the board.
- 15:11Speaker 1: So you are fully off John Mateer. Yeah, I'm out. Arbuckle,
- 15:16Speaker 1: you're done with it. I don't even know if it's
- 15:17Speaker 1: been Arbuckle. Maybe it is.
- 15:19Speaker 4: I lean that it's, when I'm watching their film, I'm
- 15:25Speaker 4: starting to lean a little bit more Arbuckle than I
- 15:27Speaker 4: am Mateer. Mateer, like accuracy issues, they're very much there.
- 15:31Speaker 4: But even against New Mexico last week, I clipped through, dude,
- 15:35Speaker 4: every third down twice. And they just line up and
- 15:40Speaker 4: run a play. There's no motion.
- 15:42Speaker 5: There's not anything to try and get your guy who
- 15:45Speaker 5: is a little inaccurate, but do anything to schematically get
- 15:48Speaker 5: somebody open.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Because they're blocking for him. It's not like the O-line's
- 15:51Speaker 4: that bad. They hold up for him most of the time.
- 15:54Speaker 5: When I'm looking at this game, it's not, you know,
- 15:56Speaker 5: obviously they have a lot of issues on offense, but defensively,
- 15:59Speaker 5: like this will be the first front that Georgia plays
- 16:01Speaker 5: where somebody can hold the point of attack, where you
- 16:03Speaker 5: can stack the line of scrimmage. Yeah, where you can
- 16:05Speaker 5: stack the line of scrimmage. And stop the run. You
- 16:08Speaker 5: can rush the passer. They're successful on third down. I
- 16:11Speaker 5: think this is going to be a big, like, second
- 16:13Speaker 5: and long, third and medium game. I trust Gunnar Stockton
- 16:16Speaker 5: way more.
- 16:17Speaker 4: But, again, Oklahoma's defense will be able to get Gunnar
- 16:19Speaker 4: to operate in a phone booth a lot of the
- 16:21Speaker 4: times versus getting out there and beating them on the perimeter.
- 16:23Speaker 4: I like the under in this game, 44 and a half,
- 16:26Speaker 4: because if Oklahoma does cover, then that means their defense
- 16:28Speaker 4: is going to be playing out of their mind. They're
- 16:30Speaker 4: still probably going to, you know, whether it's 14 points,
- 16:32Speaker 4: 17 points, 21 points. That's, it's a low scoring game
- 16:37Speaker 4: for me. So I'm going to take the under, I'm
- 16:38Speaker 4: going to go total on this game.
- 16:39Speaker 1: I like Georgia.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Georgia is a buzzsaw. They can, they, I mean, they
- 16:44Speaker 4: run through your face. Gunner Stockton, they are what? 66%
- 16:47Speaker 4: on third down. They stay ahead of schedule. Their defense
- 16:50Speaker 4: is good. And they'll look damn good against Oklahoma's offense.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Yeah, but the thing that worries me is they haven't
- 16:56Speaker 1: really played anybody to the point where they're an SEC
- 16:58Speaker 1: play last week and they're doing defensive line drills in
- 17:02Speaker 1: the fourth quarter during TV timeouts.
- 17:03Speaker 2: They didn't even do it for show either. They didn't
- 17:05Speaker 2: make a big deal about it. Someone happened to bring
- 17:07Speaker 2: it up, so Kirby had to acknowledge it. Otherwise, that
- 17:10Speaker 2: would have just been them going about their business.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Kirby goes, listen, if you're going to do that, you
- 17:13Speaker 1: have to talk to the D-line coach. They just feel
- 17:14Speaker 1: like they're not getting enough work. And that is one
- 17:16Speaker 1: of the more disrespectful things that have ever been said
- 17:18Speaker 1: that wasn't even intentional about being disrespectful. I agree. I
- 17:22Speaker 1: think Gunner Stockton, like you put on the Arkansas game.
- 17:25Speaker 1: He looks like he's playing the game and everyone just
- 17:28Speaker 1: seems a lot slower than him. He's able to see
- 17:31Speaker 1: the defense well. If he knows pressure's going to get
- 17:33Speaker 1: to him at a certain point, he gets out and
- 17:35Speaker 1: it seems like he jogs for 30, 40 yards. But
- 17:38Speaker 1: on the back end of the defense, there's a lot
- 17:40Speaker 1: of missed opportunities that Arkansas had. And I'm not saying
- 17:43Speaker 1: Arkansas could have been in that game because the talent
- 17:45Speaker 1: is just such a big differential there. But there's a
- 17:48Speaker 1: lot of things to be had. And the thing that
- 17:50Speaker 1: made Oklahoma successful last year were the X plays that
- 17:53Speaker 1: John McTeer was able to have. with deep shots down
- 17:55Speaker 1: the field, Satania, and him running around. I think they
- 17:59Speaker 1: need to be more creative pre-snap, like you were just saying.
- 18:01Speaker 1: They need to have more motions. They need to kind
- 18:02Speaker 1: of see a better picture pre-snap before they can kind
- 18:05Speaker 1: of dissect everything else. But I would go back to,
- 18:08Speaker 1: and this is kind of weird, but I would go
- 18:09Speaker 1: back to more of a backyard style football and material,
- 18:11Speaker 1: give them one or two reads. And if it's not there,
- 18:13Speaker 1: go make something happen with your legs. Because when you
- 18:15Speaker 1: make it happen with your legs, you can gain yardage
- 18:17Speaker 1: that way Or there can be breaks that happen in
- 18:20Speaker 1: the back end of the defense, where Satania has been
- 18:22Speaker 1: extremely successful. I think at the end of the day,
- 18:24Speaker 1: it comes down to this defense, and this defense is incredible.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I think they are going to be able to rush
- 18:29Speaker 1: the passer. I'm a huge fan of Georgia's offensive line
- 18:32Speaker 1: from a run-blocking standpoint. Speed is not their friend on
- 18:35Speaker 1: the edges when it comes to being able to play
- 18:39Speaker 1: in space, play a little bit of basketball in a
- 18:40Speaker 1: pass-rush situation. I think Georgia will win this game. But
- 18:44Speaker 1: this is like a true agap scenario where Venables on
- 18:47Speaker 1: Monday does his press conference. And he probably got asked
- 18:50Speaker 1: four questions and the whole press conference is 32 minutes.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Like he is breaking down everything. To Stone, he was hurt.
- 18:57Speaker 1: He got his knee banged up in a walkthrough. He's
- 18:59Speaker 1: going to be just fine. Yeah, Kip Lewis, he's out.
- 19:02Speaker 1: But Cole Sullivan, he's going to be in. This is
- 19:04Speaker 1: what he does well. Like he is breaking down essentially
- 19:07Speaker 1: the entire game plan because you can see the frustration
- 19:10Speaker 1: and the culture that he's trying to instill in these guys.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I think as dead as John Mateer seems, I think
- 19:18Speaker 1: he's got a little bit of fight left in him.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I don't think he's going to go out like this.
- 19:21Speaker 1: He was in my A-gap last week. He is more
- 19:23Speaker 1: than ever in the A-gap. I can see them holding
- 19:26Speaker 1: on to plus 13 and a half here. So I'll
- 19:28Speaker 1: take Oklahoma to cover. And I'm going to put two
- 19:31Speaker 1: on that.
- 19:32Speaker 5: What did you go with? Oh, I'll go three. Three
- 19:34Speaker 5: on the under.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Three on the under, Brian.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Three on the under. Because this game, it's not going
- 19:39Speaker 1: to be fun to watch. Like, yes.
- 19:41Speaker 5: And we thought it was gonna be a premiere game.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Yeah, we thought this would be where everybody was headed.
- 19:46Speaker 5: Dude, I'm actually excited to see this game. Because Georgia,
- 19:50Speaker 5: like you're kind of talking about them on the edge
- 19:52Speaker 5: too at tackle. Like how many, you know, how many
- 19:55Speaker 5: of those situations will they be in throughout the game?
- 19:57Speaker 5: Because dude, they can run the ball. Like Nate Frazier.
- 20:00Speaker 5: is a pissed off running back.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Nate Frazier is so fun to watch because you don't
- 20:03Speaker 1: even need to see the number. You just see the
- 20:05Speaker 1: burst when he decides where he's going to go. And
- 20:07Speaker 1: you're like, oh, that's an NFL running back. Yeah. He
- 20:10Speaker 1: is incredible. My opinion about Georgia is the exact same
- 20:13Speaker 1: as it was before we started the year.
- 20:17Speaker 5: You got them, what, missing the playoffs? I know.
- 20:19Speaker 1: They're going to be in the SC Championship. They're going
- 20:20Speaker 1: to go to the playoffs. I just still have not
- 20:22Speaker 1: seen the perimeter. But who was your SEC championship when
- 20:27Speaker 1: we did the futures?
- 20:27Speaker 5: Was it like LSU and Texas? LSU Georgia, wasn't it?
- 20:30Speaker 1: It was LSU Georgia, yeah. Oh, you had Georgia in there. Yeah,
- 20:32Speaker 1: it's still the same to me.
- 20:33Speaker 2: So what you're saying tracks historically. Like this is the spot.
- 20:37Speaker 2: When you have a prideful program, not an upstart that's
- 20:42Speaker 2: just disappointing, but like a program with the gravitas of Oklahoma.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Gravitas?
- 20:47Speaker 5: Gravitas. What does that mean?
- 20:48Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 20:49Speaker 5: We'll Google it later, but let them cook.
- 20:50Speaker 2: It's kind of like Michigan. If Michigan is down- going
- 20:55Speaker 2: into week two this year. Michigan's down. Everyone thinks they're
- 20:58Speaker 2: dead in the water. How are they going to function offensively?
- 21:01Speaker 2: There's like a certain pride factor about those kinds of
- 21:05Speaker 2: programs where they don't let it go that easy. They
- 21:08Speaker 2: may not end up winning as many games as you
- 21:10Speaker 2: thought they would, but when their back's against the wall
- 21:13Speaker 2: and when they're in wounded animal mode, they usually deliver
- 21:16Speaker 2: above and beyond expectation. So it was Oklahoma that suffered
- 21:19Speaker 2: that at the hands of Michigan in week two. That's
- 21:22Speaker 2: the exact spot Oklahoma's in right now. They're not coming
- 21:24Speaker 2: off a loss, but they're coming off a really uninspired
- 21:26Speaker 2: effort against New Mexico. They're coming off a loss before
- 21:29Speaker 2: that against Michigan. Their own people have sold. Their own
- 21:33Speaker 2: people are looking and saying, there's nothing to this offense.
- 21:36Speaker 5: It's dead in the water.
- 21:37Speaker 2: And you are, you, I actually think you may have
- 21:40Speaker 2: talked me into Oklahoma plus.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Really?
- 21:42Speaker 2: I actually think I want to very, very slightly go
- 21:46Speaker 2: across zero. So we're across the river and go Oklahoma
- 21:50Speaker 2: plus 13 and a half for one unit, not to
- 21:53Speaker 2: win the game. Super ugly game. Ugly. I do think
- 21:56Speaker 2: that there's a lot to be said for lack of
- 21:58Speaker 2: explosivity on the perimeter for Georgia. So lack of game-breaking
- 22:02Speaker 2: potential to where if Oklahoma's defense can force even one
- 22:09Speaker 2: short field and they can cash in even once, we've
- 22:12Speaker 2: seen their special teams all year. Their special teams can
- 22:15Speaker 2: pin you deep. They've done it all year. I think
- 22:18Speaker 2: it could be enough to keep it within the margin.
- 22:20Speaker 4: So I'll go- But they played the same game too
- 22:22Speaker 4: with Michigan, Oklahoma, where they were just kind of backed
- 22:24Speaker 4: up the whole time because they were kind.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Of, Michigan was kind of just control in the middle
- 22:27Speaker 1: of the field. And came down to turnovers.
- 22:29Speaker 2: The other thing that you mentioned was, okay, so if
- 22:33Speaker 2: John Mateers- current modus operandi is not working.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Why don't you just, yeah, just take him to the playground.
- 22:41Speaker 1: You took that callback and you're now ripping it. You're
- 22:44Speaker 1: turning it up a notch. He took that Brad Pitt comment. Yeah, exactly.
- 22:47Speaker 5: He teaches how to play some poker right now.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Why don't you do what Texas did with Arch in
- 22:52Speaker 2: the second half of the Ohio State game? When all
- 22:55Speaker 2: else fails. Just let him play the way he did
- 22:57Speaker 2: in high school. There's a lot of risk to that.
- 23:00Speaker 2: But the whole context here is you're already down. You
- 23:03Speaker 2: already have sort of.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Nothing to lose.
- 23:05Speaker 2: And that's his wheelhouse. He stops thinking. And maybe, just maybe,
- 23:10Speaker 2: you end up in a position where you score 17
- 23:13Speaker 2: and George is completely bogged down. They can't move the
- 23:16Speaker 2: ball on you. Maybe you're plus one turnovers. Maybe your
- 23:19Speaker 2: special teams came through for you. You actually got a
- 23:21Speaker 2: shot to pull.
- 23:21Speaker 5: It out Saturday.
- 23:23Speaker 1: The thing that sent me over on this one was
- 23:26Speaker 1: the Oklahoma offensive line being as injured as they are,
- 23:29Speaker 1: but putting on Georgia's defensive line when they just rushed four,
- 23:32Speaker 1: when they had just their D lineman, they're still not
- 23:35Speaker 1: getting there. They had to bring pressure every time. But
- 23:37Speaker 1: when they're bringing pressure, they're in Buddy's face. Their linebackers
- 23:41Speaker 1: are incredible, no doubt. And New Mexico's front seven got
- 23:44Speaker 1: after Oklahoma's run game. I think people need to respect
- 23:47Speaker 1: New Mexico. Yeah, but I'm with you. I agree, but...
- 23:52Speaker 1: Georgia and New Mexico. I'm with you. Both beautiful states.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Both beautiful. I don't know about New Mexico.
- 23:59Speaker 5: And I was laughing earlier too.
- 24:00Speaker 4: You're like, you know, look at the playbook for Arch
- 24:02Speaker 4: Manning in the second half of Ohio State. Like, You
- 24:05Speaker 4: got to put John Mateer in those backyard situations. And
- 24:07Speaker 4: all that's going through my head is you got to
- 24:09Speaker 4: put them in fourth and six and fourth and nine.
- 24:10Speaker 1: That's exactly what you got to do.
- 24:12Speaker 5: Let him go.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Give them some God habit or it's all over.
- 24:16Speaker 2: You get fourth and nine, use them in on our buckling.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Hey, this is, this is love where we are. How
- 24:23Speaker 1: do we feel about Oklahoma state? at Western Michigan, or sorry,
- 24:27Speaker 1: West Virginia. Still, that game is still in my brain
- 24:29Speaker 1: to this point. We're up this episode to bring you Neutral.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Neutral tastes great, so much better than anything else I've
- 24:33Speaker 1: ever tried. It's made of real vodka and real juice,
- 24:35Speaker 1: and that's what makes it taste delicious. My favorite flavors,
- 24:38Speaker 1: Pineapple and lime, perfect for social occasions, a crowd pleaser,
- 24:41Speaker 1: especially during the summer. Think, think about this. Beach with friends,
- 24:45Speaker 1: outdoor bar on the lake at a music festival. It's
- 24:48Speaker 1: a perfect time of year to grab a 12 pack
- 24:50Speaker 1: of neutral for the beach or grab a bucket deal
- 24:53Speaker 1: in your favorite bar to celebrate summer. Neutral, keep it tasty.
- 24:58Speaker 1: It's basically a pick-em. West Virginia is minus one and
- 25:01Speaker 1: a half total points in the game. 59 and a half.
- 25:03Speaker 1: West Virginia coming off a massive win versus Georgia. They
- 25:06Speaker 1: were eight and a half point dogs. Rich Rodriguez.
- 25:10Speaker 5: Are they back?
- 25:11Speaker 1: They might be back. Rich Rodriguez recruited me to Michigan.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Do you know that? I do know. I do it now. Yeah. Tempo. Speed, tempo, go.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Can they, do they have the horses? Can Hawkins be
- 25:22Speaker 1: a superhero over and over and over again?
- 25:26Speaker 4: So you played for Rich. What is your feel of
- 25:29Speaker 4: this entire tempo zone read? Like, I think it's good.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Like a flash in the pan.
- 25:33Speaker 5: Good.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Wow.
- 25:34Speaker 2: But.
- 25:36Speaker 1: For it to work, like, I'm just not a believer.
- 25:39Speaker 1: I think if you're in West Virginia, you're in the
- 25:43Speaker 1: Big 12, I think it's the perfect type of offense
- 25:46Speaker 1: if you have the athlete you do in this Hawkins
- 25:48Speaker 1: kid that... is extremely elusive. He's like a, he's like
- 25:53Speaker 1: a Trinidad in a lot of ways where there's multiple
- 25:56Speaker 1: guys there and he could still get away from, from rushers.
- 25:59Speaker 1: And he has a, he's not as good as Trinidad.
- 26:01Speaker 5: Big 12 Chambliss.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I was going to say the arm of Trinidad. Like
- 26:04Speaker 1: he don't, Hawkins.
- 26:05Speaker 5: Don't have this arm.
- 26:05Speaker 1: But he has, he's very elusive in that sense where
- 26:08Speaker 1: it's like, it takes multiple guys to bring him down.
- 26:10Speaker 1: He's one guy out in open space is not going
- 26:12Speaker 1: to be able to tackle him. That's where the tricky
- 26:14Speaker 1: stuff of Rich Rodriguez and the pace where they're going
- 26:17Speaker 1: faster than anybody else, that's where they gain their edge. Now,
- 26:21Speaker 1: the bad part is when you don't, from an offensive standpoint,
- 26:24Speaker 1: are able to move the ball and score quickly, you're
- 26:25Speaker 1: putting your defense in a really bad spot because they're
- 26:27Speaker 1: on the field way more. That's kind of where I sit.
- 26:30Speaker 1: But this quarterback from Oklahoma State, I love him. I
- 26:34Speaker 1: know the first game, it is what it is. I
- 26:36Speaker 1: think you bundle up, you throw it out the window.
- 26:39Speaker 1: But this kid can run. He can throw a beautiful football.
- 26:42Speaker 1: He makes great decisions. He diced up a team that
- 26:44Speaker 1: I picked to win the national championship this year. I
- 26:47Speaker 1: love West Virginia. I like their running back, but it
- 26:49Speaker 1: really comes down to Mestemaker. And I think he's the
- 26:53Speaker 1: difference maker in this game, and I'm taking them. I'll
- 26:55Speaker 1: go three units. Oklahoma State money line. And, yeah, I
- 27:01Speaker 1: love it. I like the pokes big time here. I
- 27:04Speaker 1: think their offensive line is extremely physical. I think their
- 27:06Speaker 1: defensive line is a bunch of fourth and fifth year
- 27:09Speaker 1: guys that get after the quarterback that took Oregon's offensive
- 27:13Speaker 1: line and handled business there. And if they can corral
- 27:17Speaker 1: this young Hawkins cat, I think, uh, I think it's
- 27:20Speaker 1: going to be a good win for them.
- 27:22Speaker 4: It's him or Cam Cole. If you can just get
- 27:24Speaker 4: lined up as fast as possible, read your keys, because
- 27:27Speaker 4: it's all inverted, veer, option run game. I'm going to
- 27:31Speaker 4: Oklahoma State too. Drew Mestemaker, Justin.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Bowick, 6'5. 6'5, what, 210 pounds? He's got some Josh
- 27:37Speaker 1: Allen to him. The way he plays the game.
- 27:43Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, Drew.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Same number. Even the number of font is the exact
- 27:47Speaker 1: same as they have at Wyoming. Him with that, what,
- 27:49Speaker 1: 70-yard run or 60-something-yard run in the first play game
- 27:52Speaker 1: against Oregon. Like, he's nice.
- 27:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:55Speaker 1: What are you laughing about?
- 27:56Speaker 5: Finish.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Finish.
- 27:57Speaker 5: Just go ahead and finish. I just picked up on
- 27:59Speaker 5: something here.
- 28:00Speaker 4: Maybe I'm sleeping on West Virginia. Maybe I'm sleeping on
- 28:03Speaker 4: West Virginia. But I'll go confidence meter three, and I'll
- 28:06Speaker 4: go Oklahoma State money line as well.
- 28:09Speaker 2: You know what network this is on? Does anyone know
- 28:11Speaker 2: by chance? It's like an FS1 game.
- 28:14Speaker 5: The CW?
- 28:16Speaker 1: The Ocho?
- 28:18Speaker 2: I know you don't mean that as a nasty remark,
- 28:21Speaker 2: because they're good people, work at CW.
- 28:23Speaker 1: They had some good shows back in the day. One
- 28:25Speaker 1: Tree Hill? Smallville? Buddy, the first time I ever got
- 28:28Speaker 1: on TV, my show was on the CW.
- 28:30Speaker 5: Locally, of course.
- 28:32Speaker 1: That is a FS1 game. Don't watch that, Papa Pete.
- 28:40Speaker 1: I didn't feel that. I didn't feel that. This game's
- 28:43Speaker 1: on FS1.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Anyway, the reason I ask is because can you imagine
- 28:46Speaker 2: telling the executives at Fox that you're going to have
- 28:50Speaker 2: basically Trinidad Chambliss versus Josh Allen on FS1 in week four?
- 28:53Speaker 2: Can you imagine the parade they would have thrown?
- 28:57Speaker 1: People would have laughed, dude. Where did Trinidad Chambliss come from?
- 29:00Speaker 5: Ferris State.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Exactly. No one was talking about him. And then where
- 29:03Speaker 1: did Josh Allen come from?
- 29:04Speaker 2: Wyoming.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Exactly. So we got two schools that no one really
- 29:07Speaker 1: thinks about, yet we're making comparisons and we're laughing about it?
- 29:11Speaker 1: These guys are elite. Elite athletes rolling around here. Mostly Mastermaker.
- 29:15Speaker 1: I can get with you on the West Virginia comment.
- 29:17Speaker 5: I can get with you.
- 29:18Speaker 1: He's elusive. Hawkins has got.
- 29:19Speaker 5: A couple of weeks before he's Trinidad Chambliss. Couple? Yeah.
- 29:23Speaker 1: You actually may be right about Mastermaker. Yeah, Mastermaker's nice, dude.
- 29:26Speaker 5: Why not just go over?
- 29:28Speaker 1: I'll do the Moneyline plus the over. Is that legal?
- 29:32Speaker 1: Can I do that?
- 29:33Speaker 5: Is that legal?
- 29:36Speaker 1: Can I do that? There's no rule book. You're trying
- 29:39Speaker 1: to look for a rule book. rule book. Let me
- 29:44Speaker 1: ask you this. Are you about to slap the table
- 29:46Speaker 1: and say over? Cause that'll definitely change me. No, not yet. Okay.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Are you going to go Oklahoma State?
- 29:51Speaker 2: When I say not yet, I literally may change my
- 29:53Speaker 2: mind in 30 seconds.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Well, yeah, it seems like that's– it feels like you're
- 29:55Speaker 1: going to just walk into the show.
- 29:56Speaker 2: We entered that Florida-Auburn preview last week. I had no
- 29:59Speaker 2: intention of slapping the table for the over, and then
- 30:01Speaker 2: it just happened.
- 30:01Speaker 5: Yeah. Or the under.
- 30:03Speaker 2: It just happened. No, I'm on the same side as
- 30:05Speaker 2: both of you. So I'm Oklahoma State like three units.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Oklahoma State money line for three units.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Oh, all of us across the board. I don't like it.
- 30:11Speaker 5: I don't like that. Last time they went on the road,
- 30:13Speaker 5: they got beat outright by Tulsa. I love it.
- 30:16Speaker 1: I love it. Okay. All right. Would you go for Oklahoma?
- 30:20Speaker 1: Three units. Plus the points?
- 30:22Speaker 5: Okay.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Yeah, so totals, we're just going to keep them solo
- 30:25Speaker 1: bets here.
- 30:26Speaker 5: You did two for Oklahoma. Might as well.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Okay, I'll do three. I'll just keep us all at three.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Maybe the double.
- 30:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Double positive makes an eight. West Virginia fans probably screaming
- 30:34Speaker 1: at us right now. Rich Rodriguez.
- 30:35Speaker 5: We're sleeping on Cole and Hawkins.
- 30:36Speaker 1: I was part of his first recruiting class. He used
- 30:38Speaker 1: to yell at me all the time about how slow
- 30:39Speaker 1: I'd get in my stance. We had a good relationship.
- 30:42Speaker 1: I miss him every day. Good man.
- 30:44Speaker 5: Where are you at in his favor, you think?
- 30:47Speaker 1: Of like favorite players? Yeah. You go out there, you
- 30:50Speaker 1: guys hug and it's like, oh my God, I've missed you.
- 30:53Speaker 1: I think there'd be a bit, there's really two thoughts.
- 30:56Speaker 1: One would be big hug, good to see you. Or
- 30:59Speaker 1: maybe it takes him a second to recognize me and
- 31:02Speaker 1: remember me. Really?
- 31:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 31:04Speaker 1: How long were you guys together? My red shirt year
- 31:07Speaker 1: and then my red shirt freshman year. But Rich Rodriguez,
- 31:11Speaker 1: when he was coming from West Virginia to Michigan, he
- 31:13Speaker 1: was the biggest name in coaching. It was a massive deal.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Came over, we had this spread offense. Lloyd Carr just
- 31:20Speaker 1: finished up and Michigan's now transitioning from this under center
- 31:24Speaker 1: power NFL style offense to we're going to open it
- 31:26Speaker 1: up and run all over the place. Rich Rodriguez did
- 31:28Speaker 1: not get a good night's sleep the entire time he
- 31:30Speaker 1: was at Michigan. The minute we lost the game, they
- 31:34Speaker 1: hated him. He got tore up. So I don't think
- 31:36Speaker 1: he looks back at his time at Michigan very fondly,
- 31:38Speaker 1: as do Michigan fans.
- 31:40Speaker 4: Yeah, bringing the spread, tempo. So maybe he just wiped
- 31:43Speaker 4: me from his brain. In 2000, when was that, 2009?
- 31:45Speaker 4: 2009 and 2010.
- 31:48Speaker 5: Yeah, can't be doing that.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Can't be doing that in 2010. You gotta get out
- 31:50Speaker 1: of their center a little bit. You need two backs
- 31:53Speaker 1: in the backfield. That shit pisses me off. I hate
- 31:57Speaker 1: the clap cadence. I hate it.
- 31:58Speaker 5: Yeah, Gruden hates that shit too.
- 32:00Speaker 1: I know, it pisses him off. That's my king, so
- 32:02Speaker 1: I follow my king. Dude, let's go Ole Miss at Florida.
- 32:06Speaker 1: This is a... This is a fascinating game. This is shocking.
- 32:09Speaker 4: Florida is favored by three and a half. The over-under,
- 32:12Speaker 4: the total in this game is 58 and a half.
- 32:14Speaker 5: Ole Miss.
- 32:16Speaker 4: I mean, as good a resume as anybody in the
- 32:17Speaker 4: country right now, and they're underdogs on the road after
- 32:21Speaker 4: beating LSU.
- 32:22Speaker 5: Over a field goal underdog.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Yeah. Are the Gators for real, for real? Is there
- 32:27Speaker 1: a glitch in FanDuel's software? I'm glad you asked. I
- 32:31Speaker 1: called him yesterday. Did you?
- 32:32Speaker 5: This is not a joke.
- 32:33Speaker 2: I called FanDuel yesterday. We got FanDuel Mike on the
- 32:35Speaker 2: phone because I know what's happening here.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Obviously....
- 32:40Speaker 2: In normal circumstances on a neutral field, they would have
- 32:42Speaker 2: Ole Miss favored. They think Ole Miss is better than
- 32:44Speaker 2: Florida in a normal circumstance. But since this is not
- 32:48Speaker 2: a neutral field, and since it's in Gainesville, they have
- 32:51Speaker 2: to tack on three for Florida. But even then you
- 32:53Speaker 2: would look at that and say, okay, but if I
- 32:54Speaker 2: subtract three off of this, that still implies Florida is
- 32:57Speaker 2: a slight favorite on a neutral field.
- 32:59Speaker 5: So I called FanDuel.
- 33:00Speaker 2: I said, all right, in addition to all the normal stuff,
- 33:04Speaker 2: how many additional points have you baked in here for
- 33:07Speaker 2: like a special one-off super letdown moment. Because this is
- 33:11Speaker 2: like a special circumstance type of point spread. Everyone understands that.
- 33:14Speaker 2: He set three whole points for the Lane Kiffin. We
- 33:18Speaker 2: just beat them. It's a letdown spot. We're on the
- 33:21Speaker 2: road against an upstart team. Three additional points have been
- 33:25Speaker 2: baked in. Is it too many is the question that
- 33:29Speaker 2: you have to be asking yourself. How much do you
- 33:31Speaker 2: think the letdown really matters? Because all it takes is
- 33:35Speaker 2: Trinidad Chambliss gets them up 14-0. All that's wiped out.
- 33:39Speaker 2: All the letdown stuff's wiped out. Or conversely, you guys
- 33:42Speaker 2: watched Florida Auburn last week. You saw Florida get after
- 33:45Speaker 2: Auburn physically. So like my concern in a letdown spot,
- 33:48Speaker 2: normally in college football especially, is not whether guys will
- 33:52Speaker 2: be focused the next Saturday. It's did you go through
- 33:55Speaker 2: something so emotionally and physically taxing the previous Saturday that
- 34:00Speaker 2: you let your foot off the gas from a preparation
- 34:02Speaker 2: standpoint to where if you play a physical opponent the
- 34:05Speaker 2: next week, you can't match their physicality because that's when
- 34:08Speaker 2: you get buried. Florida is the kind of team that
- 34:11Speaker 2: can do that. The Swamp is the kind of environment
- 34:14Speaker 2: that can do that. This is the first ranked versus
- 34:16Speaker 2: ranked game there since 2022, by the way. That was
- 34:19Speaker 2: Will Levis and Kentucky of all players and teams.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Shout out Will Levis. Yeah.
- 34:25Speaker 2: So I'll tell you where my mind's at on this.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Oh, that thing came down to 58 and a half.
- 34:31Speaker 1: What's crazy too is you know the majority of the
- 34:33Speaker 1: public is on Ole Miss.
- 34:35Speaker 5: Do you think they are? I think so. I think
- 34:37Speaker 5: they will be too, actually.
- 34:38Speaker 1: I think you're right. You think the public what?
- 34:40Speaker 5: The majority of the public is on, like money is
- 34:42Speaker 5: on Ole Miss.
- 34:43Speaker 1: It's kind of hard after what we saw last week
- 34:46Speaker 1: to not believe that Ole Miss is a contending team.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Let me ask you a question. Do we walk away
- 34:50Speaker 1: in Florida, do we walk away from the Florida-Auburn game
- 34:53Speaker 1: and think, okay, that's a national contending team?
- 34:55Speaker 5: I'm about to fade the whole board, so go ahead.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Well, I walked away from Florida-Auburn saying, they just sacked
- 35:00Speaker 2: Byron Brown seven times tonight. There's no way that that
- 35:04Speaker 2: carries over. Trinidad Chambliss is as good as any quarterback
- 35:07Speaker 2: in America at avoiding sacks.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Almost as good as Hawkins from West Virginia. Basically tit
- 35:11Speaker 1: for tat.
- 35:12Speaker 5: Different conferences.
- 35:13Speaker 1: I'm just ahead of the curve.
- 35:15Speaker 5: There you go.
- 35:16Speaker 2: So Byron Brown, Trinidad Chambliss. Safe to say two different players.
- 35:21Speaker 2: So I don't think Florida's getting after Trinidad Chambliss and
- 35:24Speaker 2: getting him to the ground nearly to the degree they
- 35:26Speaker 2: did last week. But on the flip side, Byron Brown
- 35:30Speaker 2: had two-something through the air. He had a fair amount
- 35:33Speaker 2: of success throwing the ball in Florida. Florida's secondary is
- 35:36Speaker 2: low-key still really suspect. And so, Trinidad Chambliss could have
- 35:39Speaker 2: a field day there. I really want to know if
- 35:40Speaker 2: Kiwan Lacy's going in this game. Because to me, that's
- 35:43Speaker 2: not the end of the world if he doesn't. But
- 35:45Speaker 2: that changes things pretty drastically. But I'm asking myself, how
- 35:49Speaker 2: many points, if Florida wins this game, how many points
- 35:52Speaker 2: do you think it will have required them to score?
- 35:54Speaker 2: Because I think the minimum's like 38. If you press
- 35:59Speaker 2: Trinidad Chambliss for four quarters, if it gets into the
- 36:01Speaker 2: type of deep end, four quarter, Ole Miss is trailing
- 36:05Speaker 2: and they're empty in the chamber, to me, they're scoring
- 36:09Speaker 2: 35 at least in that scenario. To me, you got
- 36:11Speaker 2: to have 38 at least if you're Florida. So I
- 36:14Speaker 2: keep running through all that in my head and I'm like,
- 36:17Speaker 2: let's see, Ole Miss already had 38 hung on them
- 36:20Speaker 2: against Louisville in week one. So I've seen teams score.
- 36:24Speaker 2: I like what Philo and Buster Faulkner are doing right now.
- 36:27Speaker 2: I love the yard after catch ability, not to mention
- 36:30Speaker 2: just the flat out receiver ability that they have. So
- 36:32Speaker 2: there's a lot to like offensively about both sides. And
- 36:35Speaker 2: then I see a total in the upper 50s. And
- 36:37Speaker 2: I'm like, don't overthink the room. Just slap the table
- 36:40Speaker 2: for the over.
- 36:41Speaker 1: All right. 58 and a half. Kind of a casual slap.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Under.
- 36:45Speaker 4: 58 and a half. That's my favorite play of the week.
- 36:49Speaker 4: It's my favorite play of the week. After Josh just
- 36:51Speaker 4: said all the things. I just said I'm fading the
- 36:53Speaker 4: entire board, so Josh, go ahead.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Because he's right. The wide receivers are Florida elite. I
- 36:57Speaker 1: think Singleton's coming back. Yeah, single team. Yeah, that's fine. Oh,
- 37:02Speaker 1: you mean another offensive weapons coming back? Love the under.
- 37:06Speaker 4: Hey, can you please explain to me? I personally feel
- 37:09Speaker 4: like it's just a massive letdown spot overall. Like Florida
- 37:12Speaker 4: running the ball 50 plus times, a very physical game
- 37:14Speaker 4: against Auburn. I think it's going to have some sort
- 37:17Speaker 4: of toll because as much of an emotional win that
- 37:20Speaker 4: Ole Miss had against LSU, I feel like Florida's got
- 37:23Speaker 4: to be in it. Not like in the same sphere,
- 37:26Speaker 4: but a similar situation. To where this is, to me,
- 37:29Speaker 4: it's going to be bad. We're going to see a
- 37:30Speaker 4: bad first half. I like the under here. I just
- 37:33Speaker 4: like the under. I'm fading all of it.
- 37:34Speaker 1: So let me just see. Your logic is that both
- 37:37Speaker 1: teams had emotional games, so both of their game plays
- 37:40Speaker 1: are going to go down. Correct. That's your logic.
- 37:43Speaker 5: Correct.
- 37:43Speaker 1: But wouldn't a similar logic be to that if Ole
- 37:46Speaker 1: Miss is here from a talent standpoint and Florida is
- 37:48Speaker 1: here from a talent standpoint and they both just do this.
- 37:52Speaker 1: the points will still go because the defense on the
- 37:54Speaker 1: Ole Miss side plays a little slower, but so does Florida.
- 37:56Speaker 1: It's kind of the same game, just at a slower speed.
- 37:59Speaker 1: Instead of being at 10, you turn to 9 for
- 38:00Speaker 1: both teams.
- 38:01Speaker 5: We'll see what happens. Okay, there's no response to that.
- 38:06Speaker 5: It makes sense in my brain.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Yeah. It makes sense in my brain. That's all that matters.
- 38:11Speaker 1: That's all that matters. I want to give a lot
- 38:14Speaker 1: of respect to Florida's defensive line. I kind of sat
- 38:16Speaker 1: here last week before the game, and I was like,
- 38:18Speaker 1: they seem like Velcro in a lot of ways with
- 38:20Speaker 1: the offensive line. When they go against the offensive line.
- 38:22Speaker 1: They don't get a lot of pressure. What's his heritage? African.
- 38:26Speaker 1: So to Will's comment, they got their African back, number 99.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Incredible ball player. Bust it with the boys. Bust it
- 38:33Speaker 1: with the boys.
- 38:33Speaker 5: They got that African back.
- 38:34Speaker 1: We have fun here. Nothing like three white guys in
- 38:36Speaker 1: a studio saying they got their African back.
- 38:37Speaker 5: He's a dog.
- 38:39Speaker 1: For Ole Miss, a lot of the question marks for
- 38:42Speaker 1: me was who's going to step up outside of Deuce
- 38:44Speaker 1: Alexander and Caleb Odom and a handful of other guys
- 38:47Speaker 1: did in that game. Trinidad just strikes me as a
- 38:50Speaker 1: guy that never gets too high, never gets too low.
- 38:52Speaker 1: He handled it the entire week that way. He seemed
- 38:54Speaker 1: that way during the game, poised with LSU. He seemed
- 38:58Speaker 1: that way after the game as well. Key one, Lacey,
- 39:01Speaker 1: being out is like a worry for a second, but
- 39:04Speaker 1: then you realize that just means Trinidad's going to have
- 39:05Speaker 1: the ball in his hand more. So is that actually
- 39:07Speaker 1: a fear or they become more dangerous that way? And
- 39:11Speaker 1: then there's a secondary for Florida. So all the things
- 39:13Speaker 1: you said, I lean heavily on– Ole Miss plus three
- 39:18Speaker 1: and a half. I have a lot of respect for
- 39:19Speaker 1: Florida and what they were able to do because the
- 39:21Speaker 1: box score didn't say the same. It didn't say what
- 39:23Speaker 1: the game actually was against Auburn. I think they handled
- 39:25Speaker 1: that game. But I'll go five on 58 and a half.
- 39:29Speaker 1: I'll do the over as well.
- 39:30Speaker 5: We're going over.
- 39:30Speaker 1: We're going over. We got five points of confidence across
- 39:34Speaker 1: the board. Across the board in opposite directions.
- 39:37Speaker 5: A 15-unit showdown. First we've ever had.
- 39:39Speaker 1: This is beautiful. This is how Will Compton gets back.
- 39:42Speaker 5: That is exactly right.
- 39:43Speaker 1: This is it.
- 39:43Speaker 5: This is the path you need. This is what you
- 39:45Speaker 5: need to happen.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Who needs parlays when you're just going into the woods?
- 39:47Speaker 5: I'm just telling y'all, boys. This is going to be under.
- 39:49Speaker 5: I'm just telling y'all, boys. And I'm trying.
- 39:52Speaker 1: The thing about the Ole Miss plus three and a half, too,
- 39:54Speaker 1: it's like that feels like if you didn't watch any
- 39:57Speaker 1: of the games this weekend, like that's clearly the move
- 40:00Speaker 1: right there.
- 40:01Speaker 2: Yeah, but see, you would have talked to yourself. This
- 40:03Speaker 2: is where you've got to be so dialed in week
- 40:05Speaker 2: to week because you could easily envision yourself over the
- 40:08Speaker 2: summer saying, all right, let's see, Ole Miss plays LSU
- 40:11Speaker 2: week three. Dude, if Ole Miss wins that, I'm auto-fading
- 40:14Speaker 2: them in week four when they go to Florida. But
- 40:17Speaker 2: that's in the summer. when you get into the weeds,
- 40:19Speaker 2: when the live bullets are flying, when there's noise all
- 40:22Speaker 2: over the place, you got to think in the moment.
- 40:24Speaker 2: Cause I would have said that I would have said,
- 40:26Speaker 2: they're going to play Florida the week after they're going
- 40:28Speaker 2: to play LSU. If they win that game, I don't
- 40:29Speaker 2: care what the number is. I'm going to auto fade.
- 40:32Speaker 1: There it is.
- 40:33Speaker 5: And I'm not auto fading.
- 40:35Speaker 1: I'm instead of you right in the face.
- 40:37Speaker 2: I'm instead going to guess that it's going to be
- 40:38Speaker 2: like 26 to 20 at halftime.
- 40:39Speaker 5: And I'm just going to take the over. It's going
- 40:42Speaker 5: to be like 13, 10 at halftime.
- 40:43Speaker 1: It still may go over.
- 40:45Speaker 5: It still may go over. That is a scary part.
- 40:49Speaker 5: We need to agree to this now.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Actually, the three of us. So this is clearly going
- 40:54Speaker 2: to be the difference in the leaderboard this week. So
- 40:58Speaker 2: I feel like this game is going to drastically go
- 41:00Speaker 2: one way or the other. Either it's going to be
- 41:01Speaker 2: an easy under or an easy over. We just need
- 41:04Speaker 2: to decide now who initiates the group text at.
- 41:08Speaker 5: The end of this.
- 41:09Speaker 1: I think it has to be Will, right?
- 41:10Speaker 5: Yeah, I think so too.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Win or lose.
- 41:12Speaker 5: And it'll be, I tried to tell y'all.
- 41:16Speaker 1: Send that text no matter what. Send that text no
- 41:20Speaker 1: matter what. Cause that's the, like, I kind of hope
- 41:24Speaker 1: it works out for you, but that's one of the
- 41:26Speaker 1: crazier bets I've seen. Yeah. Like I just want, I wish.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Like no matter what, it's going to be so obvious.
- 41:36Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 41:37Speaker 5: I'm in the whole 15 units.
- 41:38Speaker 1: No, even if the under hits, it's like, It wasn't.
- 41:41Speaker 1: It wasn't obvious. That was like some deep brain shaking,
- 41:45Speaker 1: Josh Payton big words like that. It had to be
- 41:49Speaker 1: so like.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Ones and zeros. What if John Summerall's at the podium
- 41:53Speaker 2: postgame and the Florida offense is totally bogged down and
- 41:57Speaker 2: they get beat like 31-13 and he says, you know
- 41:59Speaker 2: what killed us today is getting Eric Singleton back.
- 42:01Speaker 5: Wilcompton was right.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Wilcompton was right. We didn't know what to do with
- 42:05Speaker 1: the weapons. We had no idea what to do. And
- 42:08Speaker 1: then the argument of they're getting a weapon back in
- 42:11Speaker 1: the middle of fighting for the under.
- 42:12Speaker 5: No smile, no snicker.
- 42:14Speaker 4: And I said before I even said I'm taking the under,
- 42:17Speaker 4: I'm fading the entire board this week.
- 42:18Speaker 1: You faded yourself. You faded your own argument. I know. Under, why?
- 42:22Speaker 5: They're getting Singleton back.
- 42:25Speaker 4: Big letdown spot. Both teams, big letdown spot. I kind
- 42:28Speaker 4: of want to go to the Gravely game of the week.
- 42:29Speaker 4: If Florida's just going to run the ball 60 times,
- 42:31Speaker 4: just watch.
- 42:35Speaker 3: Just a fun note on this game. It's just the
- 42:39Speaker 3: third time since 1995 that a top five team is
- 42:42Speaker 3: a dog versus a non-top 20 team. 2015, number three
- 42:47Speaker 3: Utah was a three and a half point dog versus USC.
- 42:50Speaker 5: Lost 42 to 24.
- 42:51Speaker 3: 2021, number three Oregon was a three point dog. At Utah,
- 42:57Speaker 3: lost 38-7.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Under.
- 43:01Speaker 5: Good.
- 43:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:05Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Do we want to do the Gravely Game of the Week?
- 43:07Speaker 1: Or do we want to just pull the Band-Aid off
- 43:09Speaker 1: on this Texas-Tennessee game?
- 43:12Speaker 5: Let me see the Gravely Game of the Week. That's
- 43:13Speaker 5: Oregon USC. Gravely Game of the Week. Yeah, Gravely Game
- 43:15Speaker 5: of the Week.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Buy a lawnmower.
- 43:17Speaker 5: Your pick.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Josh Pate's pick.
- 43:18Speaker 5: Let's go with Oregon USC.
- 43:19Speaker 1: Okay, let's go.
- 43:20Speaker 5: Gravely Game of the Week.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Buy a lawnmower. Buy a lawnmower. Buy a lawnmower.
- 43:27Speaker 5: This is a must-win for both coaches. Oh, buddy, it's
- 43:30Speaker 5: go time. It is.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Hey, we got to go. Both sides. Yes.
- 43:35Speaker 5: I haven't even called Eckler.
- 43:36Speaker 1: The speeches are the same.
- 43:37Speaker 5: I kind of need a call. I should call Eckler,
- 43:40Speaker 5: tap in.
- 43:40Speaker 1: You guys are on speaking terms. Me and Eck? Yeah. Yeah, absolutely.
- 43:44Speaker 4: Did I know he'd make a terrible decision? Yes, but
- 43:46Speaker 4: I still love him no matter what. Because the Huskers
- 43:48Speaker 4: are rolling.
- 43:51Speaker 5: We are rolling.
- 43:52Speaker 1: You are. What?
- 43:54Speaker 5: Yeah, Michigan State. One week at a time. We're rolling.
- 43:57Speaker 1: Okay. USC and Oregon. That game, Oregon is favored by
- 44:04Speaker 1: three and a half points. Total in that game is
- 44:06Speaker 1: 61 and a half. Have you watched what the line's
- 44:09Speaker 1: done in this game?
- 44:10Speaker 5: Preseason. Yes.
- 44:12Speaker 2: Preseason, Oregon minus six and a half. Two weeks ago,
- 44:15Speaker 2: USC minus one and a half. This week, Oregon back
- 44:20Speaker 2: to three and a half.
- 44:25Speaker 1: What does it mean?
- 44:25Speaker 2: Which quarterback would you rather have? From what you've seen
- 44:28Speaker 2: this year, I agree with you.
- 44:29Speaker 1: Maiava.
- 44:31Speaker 2: Don't think you would have been saying that a month ago.
- 44:33Speaker 2: Would you have guessed you would be saying that a
- 44:34Speaker 2: month ago?
- 44:36Speaker 1: No.
- 44:37Speaker 5: I mean, I'd lean Dante Moore, but still, Maiava balled
- 44:40Speaker 5: last year, and he's got the Heisman numbers right now
- 44:44Speaker 5: to be in the one slot. You scared of turnovers?
- 44:48Speaker 1: No.
- 44:48Speaker 2: They've always been an issue in the bigger games for him.
- 44:51Speaker 2: And I've always, watching college football for a long time,
- 44:54Speaker 2: you learn, That's always there. If a guy's prone to
- 44:58Speaker 2: it early, he's usually prone to it throughout his career.
- 45:00Speaker 2: But that doesn't mean it's going to pop up in
- 45:01Speaker 2: every game. So that's what I'm trying to figure out here.
- 45:05Speaker 2: If I were to know USC's just going to be
- 45:08Speaker 2: even turnovers, I feel really comfortable taking USC because there's
- 45:11Speaker 2: not a lot to like watching Oregon right now. And
- 45:15Speaker 2: there's so much to be disappointed about. I'm not shocked
- 45:18Speaker 2: the offensive line's been disappointing because if they had a
- 45:20Speaker 2: question coming into the year, that was it. But that
- 45:23Speaker 2: defensive line, That set of personnel was supposed to be
- 45:27Speaker 2: one of the best in the country, and they haven't
- 45:29Speaker 2: gotten after anyone. They couldn't even get after Portland State
- 45:33Speaker 2: last week. The score was 84 to nothing, but if
- 45:36Speaker 2: you watched the individual line play, They didn't really wage
- 45:41Speaker 2: some all-out assault against Portland State. Maybe they took it
- 45:45Speaker 2: easy on them. They didn't take it easy on Oklahoma State,
- 45:48Speaker 2: and they couldn't get after them. They've got injury at receiver.
- 45:52Speaker 2: Dante Moore has been a shell of himself since that
- 45:55Speaker 2: Indiana game last year, to me, and still had a
- 45:57Speaker 2: lot to prove in the Indiana game. So it's not
- 46:00Speaker 2: like he was a superstar. There's a lot of potential.
- 46:03Speaker 2: There's a lot of hype and potential with Dante Moore.
- 46:05Speaker 2: The dude is yet to blow it up in a
- 46:07Speaker 2: big game. I think his biggest win, correct me if
- 46:11Speaker 2: I'm wrong here because I could be just blatantly forgetting
- 46:13Speaker 2: a game. I thought when they went on the road
- 46:16Speaker 2: to Iowa last year in that rainy game and it
- 46:19Speaker 2: wasn't like pretty numbers, but they had to come from
- 46:21Speaker 2: behind and they had to win like a gritty game,
- 46:24Speaker 2: like a roll up your sleeves kind of game. That
- 46:26Speaker 2: to me was good for Dante Moore. Since then, what
- 46:29Speaker 2: am I hanging my hat on? I'm not hanging my
- 46:31Speaker 2: hat on this run game. I'm not hanging my hat
- 46:34Speaker 2: on the throw game. I'm not hanging my hat on
- 46:37Speaker 2: them getting after you up front defensively. So to me,
- 46:39Speaker 2: if I were to wipe the slate clean, if I
- 46:41Speaker 2: were to be the anti-AP voter and forget what I
- 46:44Speaker 2: thought in preseason and just go based on what I've
- 46:46Speaker 2: seen so far this year, and I'm not even saying
- 46:49Speaker 2: USC's look like a world beater because they got pushed
- 46:51Speaker 2: by Rutgers last week. But if they can get off
- 46:54Speaker 2: the field early in the game, If they don't have
- 46:57Speaker 2: like 42 plays run on them in the first half
- 46:59Speaker 2: where that defensive front is gassed in the second half,
- 47:01Speaker 2: because they don't rotate a whole lot of guys, if
- 47:04Speaker 2: they could be in this thing, I think they got
- 47:05Speaker 2: the edge at quarterback until further notice. I think absolutely
- 47:10Speaker 2: both guys need it. Both coaches need it. But I
- 47:13Speaker 2: think Lincoln really needs it because you're talking job security
- 47:16Speaker 2: with him. And if they lose this game, I don't
- 47:18Speaker 2: like him against Ohio State. I don't like him against Indiana.
- 47:20Speaker 2: They could have multiple additional losses coming.
- 47:24Speaker 4: This football season, whether you're buying tickets, booking travel, or
- 47:28Speaker 4: shopping for team gear, protect your pocket with Visa. Tapping
- 47:32Speaker 4: to pay for a bootleg jersey without checking the card?
- 47:34Speaker 4: Not a pro move. Tapping to pay with Visa? That's
- 47:38Speaker 4: a pro move. Visa runs more than 500 security checks
- 47:41Speaker 4: to help identify fraud before transactions are approved, helping protect
- 47:45Speaker 4: your payment all the way to the end zone so
- 47:48Speaker 4: you can focus on other things, like whether boneless wings
- 47:51Speaker 4: are actually wings, Reaching for your card with five fingers
- 47:54Speaker 4: covered in buffalo sauce? That's a fumble waiting to happen.
- 47:57Speaker 4: Not a pro move. Tapping to pay with Visa? That's
- 48:00Speaker 4: a pro move. Because with Visa, you're not responsible for
- 48:03Speaker 4: any charges you didn't make. So you can save your
- 48:06Speaker 4: defensive energy for something else, like keeping the boy Taylor
- 48:09Speaker 4: away from your nachos. This season, a great defensive play
- 48:13Speaker 4: is paying with Visa, the most trusted way to pay
- 48:16Speaker 4: for football fans everywhere.
- 48:18Speaker 5: I'm taking USC plus three and a half. No Moneyline? No, actually,
- 48:23Speaker 5: I'll go Moneyline. I'll take USC Moneyline.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Wow.
- 48:25Speaker 5: Dude, hit the fucking table a second time.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Three. You can't. Okay.
- 48:29Speaker 5: You can't do that. You never know in my show.
- 48:33Speaker 1: So all the nice things we've said about Dan Lanning,
- 48:36Speaker 1: and this is how you're going to turn him week four?
- 48:38Speaker 2: I don't look at it that way. I look at
- 48:39Speaker 2: it as Dan Lanning's turned on me. I put him
- 48:42Speaker 2: in my national championship game. And he has the audacity.
- 48:45Speaker 1: I picked him to win the national championship. He has
- 48:46Speaker 1: the audacity to go and lose at Oklahoma State.
- 48:49Speaker 2: Yeah. And I think he needs to take the sunglasses off.
- 48:52Speaker 2: I'm just going to say it.
- 48:53Speaker 5: No one else will. I'll say it.
- 48:54Speaker 1: I don't like it.
- 48:55Speaker 5: I don't like the sunglasses.
- 48:56Speaker 1: If you got to squint, dude, there's, who is it?
- 48:59Speaker 5: It's Kalen DeBoer.
- 49:00Speaker 2: Kalen DeBoer has tan lines where his eye wrinkles are.
- 49:03Speaker 2: He squints so much in the sun, but at least
- 49:05Speaker 2: he's not wearing sunglasses. I don't like the sunglasses from
- 49:07Speaker 2: landing right now. I think if he takes the shades off,
- 49:10Speaker 2: if he takes the shades off in the most unlikely
- 49:12Speaker 2: of places, In Los Angeles, in the epicenter of the
- 49:15Speaker 2: entertainment industry, I would argue second to national now.
- 49:19Speaker 1: There's such a huge op for Dan Lanning to sit
- 49:21Speaker 1: there and break the sunglasses right after the coin flip.
- 49:24Speaker 1: Take them off, break them, and throw.
- 49:25Speaker 5: Them on the ground. Live bet, Oregon.
- 49:27Speaker 1: Live bet.
- 49:29Speaker 5: Who has Lincoln Riley beat? In big game moments. Nobody.
- 49:32Speaker 5: He's beaten Michigan.
- 49:33Speaker 1: Brian Kelly.
- 49:34Speaker 2: I'll tell you the two. It's Michigan and it's Sharon.
- 49:37Speaker 2: That season kind of went downhill. It's Brian Kelly.
- 49:40Speaker 1: It's LSU.
- 49:41Speaker 2: That season went downhill. Lincoln Riley does not have a
- 49:44Speaker 2: single signature win at USC. And we're a decade in.
- 49:48Speaker 2: So this is not a pick coming from the confidence
- 49:51Speaker 2: of Lincoln's done it for me before. It's a pick
- 49:53Speaker 2: coming from the total lack of confidence from Lanning, who's
- 49:58Speaker 2: done it for me for a few times, but I
- 50:00Speaker 2: just think the dude is probably a little deficient at
- 50:05Speaker 2: coordinator right now. And I don't know that he's not
- 50:09Speaker 2: singing the same tune Mike Elko is maybe at A & M.
- 50:11Speaker 2: Because those are two places where they promoted from within
- 50:15Speaker 2: last year at coordinator because they were going into the playoffs.
- 50:18Speaker 2: And so they had to make a move.
- 50:20Speaker 5: Who knows?
- 50:20Speaker 2: Maybe I'll be dead wrong on that. But all I
- 50:22Speaker 2: can judge it on is results so far. And the
- 50:24Speaker 2: result out of the gates is like I cannot imagine
- 50:28Speaker 2: the Sunday slash Monday periods. after the Oklahoma State game,
- 50:33Speaker 2: because when you're watching that, it feels like it would
- 50:35Speaker 2: have been a scroll that would roll to the side
- 50:37Speaker 2: of the building of all kinds of issues, of effort issues,
- 50:41Speaker 2: just pure physical issues, technical issues, execution, alignment, assignment, coaching,
- 50:47Speaker 2: all of the above. I can't imagine how long those
- 50:49Speaker 2: meetings were. So do I just think that's cleaned up
- 50:52Speaker 2: after an 84-0 win against Portland State?
- 50:55Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 50:55Speaker 2: Oof.
- 50:57Speaker 1: It was the most uninspiring football I've ever seen. I
- 50:58Speaker 1: was going to say effort. And they got pushed the
- 51:00Speaker 1: week before. Effort was bad. The physicality up front was bad.
- 51:05Speaker 1: I think you pointed out something really good about the
- 51:07Speaker 1: offensive line. Like their intention is correct. The way they
- 51:12Speaker 1: try to play very physical. Their problem is they try
- 51:14Speaker 1: to play physical in the pass game as well. Like
- 51:16Speaker 1: the left tackle, very athletic, very nimble feet. But there's
- 51:19Speaker 1: multiple times he's leading his head out there. and that
- 51:22Speaker 1: Oklahoma State defensive lineman is kind of getting around him
- 51:24Speaker 1: no problem and turning a corner because he is trying
- 51:27Speaker 1: to get a kill shot every single time. If you
- 51:29Speaker 1: were to say a woe to that offensive line a
- 51:31Speaker 1: little bit more, focus more on taking the right steps
- 51:33Speaker 1: and getting in the right fits, then have that tenacity
- 51:36Speaker 1: behind it, I think their run game is a whole
- 51:39Speaker 1: lot better. I don't disagree with you, Dante Moore. There's
- 51:42Speaker 1: a lot to be desired when it comes to him
- 51:44Speaker 1: and his gameplay. There's multiple, I think, pulls that he
- 51:47Speaker 1: could have had, specifically the first one of the game.
- 51:50Speaker 1: First play of the game, he could have pulled one
- 51:51Speaker 1: and had himself a nice run similar to Mestemaker for
- 51:54Speaker 1: Oklahoma State when they had their first run of the game.
- 51:56Speaker 5: Josh Allen.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Josh Allen. Might as well just call him Josh Allen
- 51:59Speaker 1: at this point. McCullen having the foot injury. For a
- 52:03Speaker 1: lot of teams, that makes me concerned, but talent's not
- 52:05Speaker 1: the issue with Oregon. You have DeCorey Moore, you got Stewart,
- 52:08Speaker 1: they have another tight end. They have multiple guys in
- 52:11Speaker 1: the backfield that can run the ball. Here's where I
- 52:14Speaker 1: think it changes is Dan Lanning probably promoted these guys
- 52:19Speaker 1: within from a coordinator standpoint, took his hands off of
- 52:23Speaker 1: the defensive side of the ball specifically and allowed his
- 52:25Speaker 1: coordinator to do that. After you deal with a game
- 52:28Speaker 1: like Oklahoma State where it's uninspired, the defensive line who's
- 52:30Speaker 1: supposed to be the greatest in all of college football
- 52:32Speaker 1: doesn't do what they're supposed to do. That's where Dan
- 52:35Speaker 1: identifies quickly, understands, well, what got me in the position
- 52:39Speaker 1: to be the head coach of Oregon? And that's defensive coordinator.
- 52:42Speaker 1: So I think his hands are, his fingerprints are much
- 52:44Speaker 1: more on this defensive front on these linebackers, on this secondary.
- 52:47Speaker 1: Because the talent's all there. And if you watch the defense,
- 52:50Speaker 1: it's the linebackers who have also been very disappointing. They're
- 52:54Speaker 1: way farther back to where they think to themselves, the
- 52:57Speaker 1: defensive line's going to handle the run game for us.
- 52:59Speaker 1: They'll handle the passing from us. We're just going to
- 53:00Speaker 1: help out more in the middle of the field because
- 53:03Speaker 1: we have the horses to do it. I don't think
- 53:05Speaker 1: that's the case. I think you're going to see a
- 53:06Speaker 1: lot more pressure. Maiava does great with pressure. But Maiava
- 53:10Speaker 1: also likes to play a little bit of hero ball.
- 53:11Speaker 1: And that's what they're going to try to pressure them into.
- 53:13Speaker 1: When I look at USC and Oregon, it's like, Both
- 53:16Speaker 1: teams disappointing in some ways, one way more than the other.
- 53:20Speaker 1: But USC is like, they are extremely talented across the board,
- 53:24Speaker 1: but all of their talent, most of their talent, their
- 53:26Speaker 1: best players are younger underclassmen, freshman guys. So now you're
- 53:31Speaker 1: getting in Big Ten play, you see the uniform and
- 53:33Speaker 1: it means a little something different to you because it's
- 53:35Speaker 1: your first time playing against Oregon. It's your first time
- 53:38Speaker 1: being in, hey, this one really matters because we're in
- 53:40Speaker 1: conference play now. Pressures elevate and I will take experience
- 53:43Speaker 1: over that. That's the part to me that Dan Linden
- 53:47Speaker 1: getting in the defense, experience of these players being in
- 53:50Speaker 1: this position before, because I think USC, if we fast
- 53:52Speaker 1: forward to two years, it's like, yeah, you look at
- 53:54Speaker 1: these teams, I'm going to take that. I think the
- 53:57Speaker 1: most impressive thing I've seen from USC is as long
- 53:59Speaker 1: as Lincoln Riley has been at USC in a four-minute drill,
- 54:03Speaker 1: I've never seen a team, his team, start with the
- 54:06Speaker 1: ball four minutes into the game and they're up and
- 54:09Speaker 1: end with the ball in their hands. And as bad
- 54:11Speaker 1: as Rutgers has been, They did that against Rutgers, which
- 54:14Speaker 1: shows growth. Like King Miller runs the ball well. I
- 54:17Speaker 1: think they have the edge on the offensive side of
- 54:19Speaker 1: the ball, offensive line side of the ball. But Dan
- 54:23Speaker 1: Linney and culture. If I picked them to win the
- 54:25Speaker 1: national championship, I think they made a lot of corrections.
- 54:28Speaker 1: And we have a great example of quick corrections being
- 54:31Speaker 1: made in week two with Michigan and Oklahoma. That's where
- 54:34Speaker 1: I'll go Oregon. I'll take them minus three and a half.
- 54:37Speaker 1: I'll put three on that.
- 54:39Speaker 5: Yeah, if you're Dan Lanning, you can't have the sunglasses
- 54:41Speaker 5: in the trophy case with Lincoln Riley. That might be
- 54:45Speaker 5: a Sarah McLaughlin special next week.
- 54:51Speaker 1: It would pay me to do it.
- 54:53Speaker 5: It would.
- 54:53Speaker 1: It seems like you're ready to set that up and
- 54:55Speaker 1: go there if he lets this.
- 54:56Speaker 5: One down right here.
- 54:57Speaker 2: All I'm saying is, is there a single head coach
- 54:59Speaker 2: that we have put more of our collective weight behind?
- 55:02Speaker 2: And we have done more to emotionally assist, encourage, cheer
- 55:07Speaker 2: than Dan Lanning. It's bad journalism. It's bad lowercase J journalism.
- 55:13Speaker 2: And we've done it anyway. We got to get a
- 55:15Speaker 2: return on our investment.
- 55:16Speaker 1: Do you mind? Has other coaches, have they given up
- 55:23Speaker 1: on the competitive nature of Dan Lanning? Because this is
- 55:25Speaker 1: the fourth week we've been on the show and there's
- 55:27Speaker 1: not been one text sent to Will Compton about Dan Lanning.
- 55:30Speaker 5: Oh, you mean they don't even feel the need to?
- 55:32Speaker 1: There's no concern. Big Netty hasn't reached out. Lincoln Riley
- 55:36Speaker 1: hasn't reached out. No one has reached out to Will.
- 55:38Speaker 1: to say anything nasty about Dan Lanning?
- 55:42Speaker 5: I got a random text last night.
- 55:43Speaker 1: Did you really?
- 55:44Speaker 5: He called himself Long Rifle.
- 55:46Speaker 1: Long Rifle?
- 55:47Speaker 5: LR, I don't know what that means. And I got
- 55:49Speaker 5: three photos.
- 55:50Speaker 1: Well, I got one.
- 55:51Speaker 4: One was a voicemail. It was a fake Louisiana accent.
- 55:54Speaker 4: A photo came in. It was a photo of a
- 55:56Speaker 4: butter knife. And then a third photo came in. It
- 55:58Speaker 4: was a picture of sunglasses. You said that was from LR? Yeah,
- 56:04Speaker 4: he called himself Long Rifle.
- 56:06Speaker 1: Lone Ranger, maybe? Was it just LR and you decided
- 56:09Speaker 1: that it was Long Rifle or is the name Long Rifle? No,
- 56:11Speaker 1: he said, Willie C, calm nasty, this is Long Rifle.
- 56:14Speaker 5: LR for short.
- 56:18Speaker 4: He sent me an audio message and it was a
- 56:20Speaker 4: fake Louisiana accent. Then he sent me a photo of
- 56:23Speaker 4: a butter knife and then he sent me a photo
- 56:24Speaker 4: of sunglasses. He said, do with that what you will.
- 56:26Speaker 1: And you think this has to do with Dan Lanning?
- 56:29Speaker 5: Maybe. I just thumbs up it because I was, you know,
- 56:31Speaker 5: you get a little nervous.
- 56:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 56:33Speaker 5: Don't know anybody.
- 56:34Speaker 1: How late at night was this text sent? 1102 p.m.
- 56:36Speaker 2: Wow, because that's still only 902 on the West Coast,
- 56:40Speaker 2: depending on where this dude lives, is what I'm saying.
- 56:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Interesting.
- 56:47Speaker 5: I'm taking the over here.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Like, I think even.
- 56:53Speaker 1: So we just got done with Ole Miss in Florida
- 56:55Speaker 1: where they're 58. We look at this one, 61.
- 56:57Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah. Like all your guys' points are great.
- 57:00Speaker 1: Like I think Oregon's defense.
- 57:02Speaker 5: It's the receiver being out, isn't it? That's what makes
- 57:04Speaker 5: you look me over.
- 57:05Speaker 1: I do, like you got a pissed off Oregon team.
- 57:10Speaker 1: You got Dan Lanning.
- 57:11Speaker 5: In all the meetings. Like the effort that was displayed
- 57:13Speaker 5: against Oklahoma State.
- 57:14Speaker 1: Disgusting.
- 57:14Speaker 5: Even if their offense plays better, I don't.
- 57:16Speaker 4: Think either defense is going to make one of these
- 57:19Speaker 4: quarterbacks look human for four quarters. And so I just
- 57:21Speaker 4: see everybody kind of scoring at will. And I just
- 57:24Speaker 4: think it's going to come down to who has the
- 57:25Speaker 4: ball last at the end of the game. And I
- 57:27Speaker 4: just love a lot of points. You got coordinators with
- 57:30Speaker 4: a match in their hand.
- 57:31Speaker 5: Can we get downhill in our one game for Oregon?
- 57:32Speaker 1: Fuck. It's all perimeter and outside zone. Let's get downhill.
- 57:37Speaker 1: Let's gap scheme a little bit.
- 57:38Speaker 2: Here's what I'm asking. If you thought, so let me
- 57:41Speaker 2: back up. How surprised would you guess Lanning is at
- 57:45Speaker 2: their performance so far? Because we talk about this sometimes,
- 57:48Speaker 2: about how sometimes there's high expectations publicly for a team
- 57:51Speaker 2: and they underachieve. But then later on down the road,
- 57:53Speaker 2: you'll find out the coaching staff kind of knew all along.
- 57:57Speaker 2: The coaching staff was surprised the hype was that big
- 57:59Speaker 2: publicly because they.
- 58:00Speaker 5: Knew they were flawed.
- 58:01Speaker 2: Then there are other times where the coaching staff's just
- 58:03Speaker 2: as shocked as the public is. My guess, I've not
- 58:07Speaker 2: talked to Lanning about this, my guess is they're pretty surprised.
- 58:11Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 58:12Speaker 5: That's just my guess.
- 58:13Speaker 1: You have seven guys that didn't decide not to go
- 58:15Speaker 1: to the NFL to come back and had as much
- 58:18Speaker 1: production as they have. They've had, they have a great,
- 58:20Speaker 1: I mean, they're good across the board at every single position.
- 58:24Speaker 1: How do you not sit there and be like, yeah,
- 58:25Speaker 1: we're going to win it all this year. Dude, you,
- 58:28Speaker 1: there's no way they sat there and they're like, well,
- 58:30Speaker 1: this is kind of crazy.
- 58:32Speaker 4: No, it ain't surprising like that. It's surprising, like pissed off,
- 58:34Speaker 4: like all the potential you have, especially on the defensive
- 58:37Speaker 4: side of the ball and watching the effort in that
- 58:40Speaker 4: Oklahoma State game. I can only imagine what type of
- 58:41Speaker 4: week of practice that they had against Oregon State. But
- 58:44Speaker 4: you've been in those spots. It's not like you're surprised,
- 58:46Speaker 4: like we're just as surprised as the public. You're surprised because.
- 58:49Speaker 5: You were pissed off about, you know, we were pissing
- 58:51Speaker 5: away everything we got in this room right now.
- 58:53Speaker 4: Like the problem is in this room. The answer is
- 58:55Speaker 4: also in this room. Like it's all gut check. It's
- 58:58Speaker 4: all challenging from day and landing. Especially as a defensive
- 59:01Speaker 4: minded guy and your defense is performing like that.
- 59:03Speaker 1: Especially the backers too, like fucking fly around.
- 59:06Speaker 4: They like to do a lot of stuff from two-shell
- 59:09Speaker 4: to where you kind of got an eraser in the middle.
- 59:11Speaker 4: So that's where they have a little bit more depth
- 59:13Speaker 4: and they play softer because you do think the D-line
- 59:16Speaker 4: is going to cut it up.
- 59:17Speaker 5: But, man, there's just too much talent on that roster
- 59:20Speaker 5: and on that side of the ball.
- 59:22Speaker 2: I don't want to go down this road because it
- 59:23Speaker 2: seems like post-Penn State meltdown last year, everyone's looking for, like,
- 59:27Speaker 2: the next Penn State. I don't know that you're going
- 59:30Speaker 2: to have that every year. However, if you do have
- 59:32Speaker 2: that this year, the prime candidate would be a team
- 59:35Speaker 2: like Oregon.
- 59:36Speaker 1: A team that's loaded up. Are you making a Danny
- 59:38Speaker 1: Franklin comment right now?
- 59:38Speaker 5: I'm not going to say Dan Franklin. But you're kind
- 59:40Speaker 5: of saying it.
- 59:41Speaker 1: You basically are saying it. I'm saying other people are
- 59:42Speaker 1: saying it. Other people have said it. Here's what I'm saying.
- 59:45Speaker 1: But you're bringing it up without any of us talking
- 59:46Speaker 1: about it. No.
- 59:48Speaker 5: Possibly, yes.
- 59:49Speaker 2: But what I'm saying is, if their expectation was national
- 59:53Speaker 2: title or bust, which it was, just like Penn State
- 59:55Speaker 2: last year, and they're a two-loss team before October, You've
- 59:59Speaker 2: got a real threat of the cart jumping off the tracks.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: You know what sucks?
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: You're right. And that they still got multiple losable games
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: ahead of that.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: That was your week one A gap. Which is, I
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: was kind of saying it like.
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: Prophetic.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: I had so much belief in Dan Lanning. It's like, yeah,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: this is a boom or bust year for them. And
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: I haven't won the National Championship. I haven't done all that.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: But if you don't, that could be a case. And
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: I never thought... That this would even be a possibility.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: If they lose this game, if they lose this game,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: there is a serious chance that these players pack it in.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: And I think that if they lose the game, you
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: need to just count on the fact that no one
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: heard what you just said. And when we go on
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: air next week on Friday, you got to get Tom
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: and the production folks to just tee that up in
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: week one.
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: And you got to lean back and say, told you so.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: No. I could never do that to Dan. Told you so.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Danny boy ain't losing. I could never do that to Dan.
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: He ain't losing this weekend, bro.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: There's too much doubt amongst this conversation right now. Unless
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: I was to shoot Dan a text and be like,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: don't turn the TV on.
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: I have to do this. They made me. They got me. Yeah.
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: I'm just reading the cue card.
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: I'm just reading the prompter. It is dangerous territory. Very.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Would you say Lincoln Riley is in the same position? Yes.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: But that's because of the totality of his underachievement in
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: his career.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: That's why I think that the players aren't. No, I
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: would agree with you. There was such an expectation for
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: not just the coaching staff, but Oregon, the players, everybody.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: It was like, this is the year we finally win
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: a national championship. No one, people still look at USC
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: as like the fourth or fifth best team.
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: This may be the year we finally make the playoff.
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:01:33Speaker 5: That's kind of their attitude.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: But so there's a detachment between players and Lincoln probably.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: Lincoln's like, I know I got to make the playoff
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: or I'm probably cooked here. The players are like, first off,
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: half of them are true freshmen, like you said. So
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: we got three more years here. We got two or
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: three more years. We think we're going to have to
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: make the playoff. We'll take a swing at it this year.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: If not, we'll be back next year no matter what.
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: He doesn't know if he'll be.
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: Back next year.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: God. High stakes.
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm doing the over. Doing the over.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: We need Danny Boy to come through, man. I'm taking over.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:02:07Speaker 5: I need to make a move here. I need to
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: make a move. How many units did I put on that?
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: For this, you put three.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: I don't dislike Dan. I dislike his team so far.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: So I'm going to go plus three and a half instead.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: Because I do want the J.P. Hovey path of I
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: want you to be able to win by three and
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: I still win.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Are you still going to stay three units? Three units still.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Plus three and a half. Is that my path now, really?
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: That is the J.P.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: Hovey memorial path.
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: He's still alive. That's the J.P. Hovey memorial path. Love you, J.P.
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: Miss you every day, bud. Still alive.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Well, now that you're making our audience happy.
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: I'll go three.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: What did I say about you?
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: You see this undefeated weekend happen.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: This is an undefeated weekend for you. This is going
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: to be a wild tournament. All the laughing that's happened
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: on this show. All right, dude. It's time. A lot
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: of people. And the stands right now want to know,
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: Texas at Tennessee. Texas is favored on the road, minus
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: four and a half. Total in that game is 55
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: and a half points. Can we stay away from the
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: total in this game?
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: Nope.
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: No?
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: I can't. Maybe. I'm torn, I'll be honest. Are you?
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: I'm torn, I'm torn. I can't wait to hear this.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: I hate to keep the suspense. Can I go pee
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: real quick? Or just leave them hanging a little bit longer?
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: Go take a tinkle. I'll take a tinkle real quick.

- 1:04:52Speaker 1: You're torn. Why are you torn?
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: GBO, man.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04:58Speaker 5: I got my boys in the stands.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:05:01Speaker 5: I just think the line of scrimmage for Texas is
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: really good.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: So what does that mean? David Sanders Jr., is he
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: not a future first-round pick, left tackle?
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: Are they not rushing all over anybody they come across
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: this year? Is Heupel not 11-1 in 1 p.m. Eastern games?
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: Is Knoxville not in one of the greatest stadiums in
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: all of college football?
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: You're goddamn right they are.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Yeah, they are. Is Faison Brandon not absolutely dicing people
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: up and running?
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: Hasn't thrown a pick.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Seeming like the next true one hasn't thrown a pick yet.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Deshaun Bishop had offers to go to other colleges and
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: decided to walk on at the University of Tennessee because
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: he bleeds orange. He's a patient runner. He's explosive. Hypo
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: was asked, hey, how is his health? We saw him
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: come out last game. We're not worried about his health.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: We're not worried about his health at all. This one
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: just means more. Mike Matthews, wide receiver, been a little
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: quiet since week one. He got Texas?
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: Don't sleep on Don Morris either.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: You're thinking about Texas right now, who played like shit
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: on the road last year? Four games under 100 yards rushing,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: and you're doubting the volunteers?
- 1:06:18Speaker 5: Keep cooking.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: I've cooked. Where do you sit there? Peyton Manning will
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: be in the building?
- 1:06:24Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: And you know he's pulling for the Vols. That's why
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: he won't do college game day. Because it just means
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: more in Knoxville. 11... Sorry, 1 p.m. Eastern. Play Texas,
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: the number one team, who has that title of number
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: one right next to their name, where Josh Heupel is
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: just sharpening a knife right now, ready to take a scalp.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Where are you going? I think anytime you play on
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: the road.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: You got to pack a defense and you got to
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: pack a run game. Texas can run that fucking ball.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Arch Manning can rip it around. I like Coleman. It
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: was a fluke of Ohio State even being close in
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: that game with the picks. First play was a fumble.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: I see Arch Manning going in and dominating the Vols. Dominating.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: I hate saying it. I hate it. I love high ball.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: I love they're going to put points on the board. Yeah,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: look at the total. It's absolutely beautiful. They got a
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: great defense. Tennessee's offensive line, outstanding on the left side
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: of the offensive line. Big holes on the other side. Disorganized,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: not great with their hands. They have a lot of
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: rush yards because Deshaun Bishop is so patient. I think
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: he's a really good back. But when you got Biles
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: from the linebacker, you got Colin Simmons, you got Lawrence
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: on the other side, you got a back end that
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: can run with anybody. You watch a Texas-Ohio State game,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: and it's like, yeah, Ohio State was up by 20 points,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: but it was because of fluke BS. A fumble by
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: Relique Brown in the first play of the game. Coleman
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: off of his leg to his safety. When they fumbled
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: the ball on the first play of the game, they're
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: in the red zone. Ohio State has the ball in
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: the red zone with Bo Jackson, with Julian Sand, with
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: Jeremiah Smith, and they got held to three. And in
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: the second half, yeah, Arch played backyard football. Hey, let
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: him play in high school. But you know what happened? Goosby,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Wake Forest tackle, and that interior offensive line mauled Ohio
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: State's defensive line. And Hollywood Smothers just kept cooking over
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: and over. Started to get your shots. Mosley started to
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: show up. That's wide receiver three. Coleman, he's been shot
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: down quite a bit about his hands. Like, this is
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: a massive game. And I'm excited, but this is Texas
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: minus four and a half. I hate it. because I
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: love my boys over here, but I got four units
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: on that. And I just can't do five.
- 1:08:50Speaker 5: Just massacred our boys over there. Why can't you do five?
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Because you can only slap the table once.
- 1:08:54Speaker 5: Oh, that's right. If you hadn't already slapped the table.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: I would slap the table.
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: This would be five.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: You couldn't be more confident. in a team that hasn't
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: proven they can do it on the road yet.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: They also have proven they didn't have a signature win
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: until two weeks ago.
- 1:09:06Speaker 5: That's wonderful.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:09:07Speaker 5: That's great. I feel like they're one in the country
- 1:09:09Speaker 5: because of a couple fourth downs in one fourth quarter game.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Are you saying overhyped a little bit? I think a
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: little overhyped.
- 1:09:14Speaker 5: That's why they're number three in the winning seed poll.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: Down in the fourth quarter by 20 points? They got
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: the horses. But again, fourth and six and fourth and nine.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: You have a freshman quarterback for the first time playing
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: against a true opponent. Their best game they had was
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: Georgia Tech. Yep. And Georgia Tech, they ain't it, ball.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: If you put on the film of Georgia Tech, number 95,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: he's got some crazy-ass name.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: Did you check out that film of Arch against UTSA
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: last week?
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Nope. Didn't even look at it. Didn't even put it
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: on because I knew they had Tennessee the following week. Yeah.
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: Okay. Well, he's also performed that way.
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: Like he's in the Heisman race, but it's because of
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: the fourth downs in the fourth quarter and the name.
- 1:09:55Speaker 5: He hasn't played that way.
- 1:09:57Speaker 4: And Tennessee's also got a coordinator that has a little
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: key to the safe because he shut down that offense
- 1:10:01Speaker 4: a couple of years ago in the college football playoff.
- 1:10:03Speaker 5: In Jim Knowles.
- 1:10:04Speaker 4: And you look at Arch Manning too, like when you
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: do look under the hood, This is going to be,
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: this is like, this is the nerdy stuff. But when
- 1:10:11Speaker 4: you got him thrown in between the white hashes, the
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: middle of the field, his completion percentage is down toward 50%.
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: If he's on the outside, it's north of 60, but
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: a lot of it is on the perimeter just to
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: get him going. Everything you're saying about Texas is right.
- 1:10:23Speaker 4: If they run the football and they run the football
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: well with Hollywood Smothers and Malik Brown, they have a
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: good shot of winning this football game. So I'm putting
- 1:10:31Speaker 4: a lot of stock in this Jim Mills defense and
- 1:10:33Speaker 4: showing up because they haven't had a whole lot of
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: pass production either.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: It's like, what's one of your guys' N starts with
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: a W? Weatherford?
- 1:10:42Speaker 5: Weathersby.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: Weathersby.
- 1:10:45Speaker 5: Like, he hasn't showed up. Like, they have about, what, two,
- 1:10:48Speaker 5: three sacks in the three games that they've played against
- 1:10:50Speaker 5: inferior opponents. So there is a big question mark on Tennessee.
- 1:10:54Speaker 5: But I think Nealon's going to be looking for a fight.
- 1:10:55Speaker 5: Look at the look in those boys' eyes right there.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: I love him.
- 1:10:58Speaker 4: I love my Neyland's going to be looking for a
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: fight on Saturday. And if toughest places to play in
- 1:11:03Speaker 4: the country, Neyland is up there. And if they're not two,
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: they are number one, bro. I think it's going to
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: be nasty. I like a dog that is still hungry
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: to get their first big time win versus a dog
- 1:11:13Speaker 4: that's already been fed with one win. Could be a
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: little high coming out of Ohio State because, again, I
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: do think they're a little fraudulent in that one slot
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: in all of college football. I'm going to ride with
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: the boys. I'm riding with the boys. I'm riding with
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: Faison Brandon. He hasn't looked 18 yet. This is an
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: 18-year-old going against an NFL defense. He hasn't looked that
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: way yet.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: He hasn't blinked. No picks.
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: They can run the ball well. And even if you
- 1:11:35Speaker 4: don't have Bishop, Morris, he'll run through your face as well.
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: I'm rocking with the boys.
- 1:11:39Speaker 5: It's GBO.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: I'm going to take Tennessee, press four and a half.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: At a confidence level of two. Be cautious. Confidence level
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: of two. Be cautious between the two different backs. Morris
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: will run through your face. He's not a very patient back.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: The way the backside of that offensive line is on
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: the right side and the front side, they need a
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: little bit of patience to cover him up. That's where
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: Deshaun Bishop has had so much success, is being patient
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: in the backfield, similar to Le'Veon Bell in a lot
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: of ways. He'll sit back. He's very confident a yard
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: behind the line of scrimmage. That's where all of his
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: explosive plays come from. Morris will hit it hard and fast,
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: but it's got to be blocked right. And they got
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: horses that can absolutely run. Yeah, but again, you're getting
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: those 30 personnel looks. There's going to be a lot
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: of window dressing that hopefully Tennessee is able to have
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: success with because you keep those wide splits and you
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: get the run game going with tempo. That's going to
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: help open up the shots downfield for Faison. And I
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: just like, I'm 18 going against Texas. I fucking love
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: this spot. It'd be an incredible story. It would be incredible.
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: I feel awesome about this.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: Over.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: I love, love my pick on this game.
- 1:12:51Speaker 5: So let me walk you through.
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: When we looked at Arch last year, we looked at
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: Texas last year, and then they're coming into this year.
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: If you believed in them, what were you banking on?
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: You were banking on them running the ball better, and
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: they went to the portal and they addressed that. And
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: you were banking on Arch Manning just improving as a player.
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: That's not unreasonable to.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: Ask for him.
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: He was six touchdowns, four picks as an SEC road
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: starter last year. He was 57%. They weren't good enough
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: on the road last year. So you're banking on they're
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: a better outfit on the road. So far, we haven't
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: seen it. We've only seen them play at home. This
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: is their first time out. I do agree with you.
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: I agree with what Sark said. I think at its best,
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: it's the loudest environment in college football. To noon kickoff,
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: there are some amongst us who believe that actually favors Tennessee.
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: Don't know how they got there, but whatever. There are
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: some people around us who believe that it's better for Tennessee.
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: You give Chef 20 minutes, he'll tell you why. So
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: the second part of this, we got to figure out
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: who Faison Brandon is. Because it's okay to be high
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: on him, but also say he hasn't really played anyone.
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: He certainly hasn't felt the heat that they'll feel. I
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: worry about Texas's interior defensive line against Tennessee on the interior.
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: Because I really think they can do some work there. Now, luckily,
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: I've got mobility at quarterback to where even on broken plays,
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: it's not the end of the world. He can still create.
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: He can still improvise. They can still push the ball
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: down the field. The thing I love about it is,
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: I love that Texas is... Texas' blueprint here, if they're
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: going to go in there and win, is to grind
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: the game on the ground. Tennessee, you think tempo, tempo, tempo.
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: If you've watched them so far this year, they haven't
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: incorporated as much of it because I think they're very
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: intentional in bringing that quarterback along and understanding defensively we
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: can't hang those guys out to dry. There's the question.
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: Have they been building towards this Texas game knowing that
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: that's when we're going to flip the switch on tempo
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: or Or have they been intentional so far and that's
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: going to continue to be the way they go because
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: they know our best shot's running the ball too. Our
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: best shot's riding our tailbacks too. If either of those
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: things are true, the under is a brilliant opportunity here.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: Because I think that number should be in the upper 40s,
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: low 50s. And instead that thing's at 55 and a half.
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: So I couldn't be more confident. The only reason I'm
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: not going to slap the table is because I already did.
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: I will take under 55 and a half. for four units.
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: That's my pick. Secondly, until further notice, I am not
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: investing in Texas on the road. I'm just not doing it.
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: And I haven't seen, I love what they did against
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: Ohio State, but I also hate that within the quote
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: unquote structure of their offensive framework, it took getting out
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: of that for them to come back against Ohio State.
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: Like in the normal, like between the lines, Texas offensive approach,
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: they did nothing against Ohio State. to think that they're
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: all of a sudden going to explode in this kind
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: of environment, to me is a little unrealistic. So if
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: I went against the number, I would go Tennessee plus
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: four and a half. But I think the better opportunity
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: is on the under. So I'm going to go under
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: 55 and a half, four units. Can't help but feel
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: like that was a cop out.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: Because I kind of love the under too.
- 1:16:11Speaker 5: I told you who I'd be on. You got to
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: go face these people Friday.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: Yeah. And I love the Tennessee fans. They're a big
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: part of why this bus was successful. Being in Tennessee,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: Titans fans, Vols fans, big reason why this bus got
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: up and started. I am indebted to those people.
- 1:16:26Speaker 5: What did Texas people do for you?
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: They were really nasty to me when we went to
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: Ann Arbor, when they played Michigan. Really nasty. There was
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: one guy that tried to fight me. Do you remember that?
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: Tried to fight me. He was like, I went and
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: took a photo and I took a photo of horns down.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: He's like, oh, get that shit out of here. I
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: was like, dude, I went to, I went to Michigan.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: He said, we're not going to, we're not going to
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: take a photo with you. Then I was like, okay,
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: I guess we won't take a photo then. And he
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: went on, he's like trying to buck up. I'm like, listen, relax, buddy.
- 1:16:51Speaker 5: Now you got a little Stockholm syndrome and you're betting
- 1:16:53Speaker 5: them anyway.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: No, I watch film. And you can see what it is.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: There's nothing Stockholm's injured about. I told Chef, I'm looking
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: for every opportunity to look at Tennessee and be like,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: I want to pick them.
- 1:17:06Speaker 5: You couldn't find anything.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: I didn't find enough to not, when I watched Texas,
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: be like, yeah, like they have, they're a better football team.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: And the offensive line to me is just, they're a
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: dominant offensive line.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: You worried about Colin Simmons? Because they don't really have
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: backup there. If he's not good to go, Their pass
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: rush is not two or three deep.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: You don't know Lawrence, former five-star.
- 1:17:28Speaker 5: Well, that's great. That's wonderful.
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: Recruiting rankings aside, you're a film watcher.
- 1:17:33Speaker 5: You're not a stargazer.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: I think what Ohio State did was a very smart
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: game plan that Tennessee should take is when Colin Simmons
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: is out of the game, take your shots then. That's
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: where you see a lot of Jeremiah Smith shots. So
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: there's a world there. I want to know how many
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: snaps he's going to play.
- 1:17:51Speaker 5: If he's good to go, moot point. But he was hurt.
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: And there's rumor that he may be hurt and may
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: be either limited if he does go or like game
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: time decision. That's why we're recording this on Wednesday. So
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: the health report, the Lane Kiffin Memorial Injury Report comes
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: out on Wednesday nights. Don't know what Colin Simmons is
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: going to be listed as. Don't know if he's going
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: to be listed.
- 1:18:15Speaker 5: If he's doubtful, who cares? That means nothing these days.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: It means nothing. We'll find out. I'm not here to
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: be like, Just super nasty towards Tennessee. I love Tennessee.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: It sounds like you kind of hate it. I think
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: Texas is just a much better football team at this point.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: Faison Brandon is going to be, as of right now,
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: first-round pick. As of right now.
- 1:18:37Speaker 5: But three years down the road. Not now he's not.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: No. I think Will said a couple weeks ago, Muschamp,
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: one of the best things he does is make quarterbacks uncomfortable.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: I was going to find out.
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: Will Muschamp was adjacent to a Georgia program that just
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: used to shut Heupel down on the regular. So he
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: has had a lot of experience being associated with a
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: defense that has very successfully defended this offense. It's one
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: of the other reasons I like the under. Because that's
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: in the cards. There is that It is a bet
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: you can make on FanDuel.
- 1:19:08Speaker 5: That's correct. Yes.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: I think it's smart. Smart. We feel good? How about
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: the Oscars this week? Going into Michigan State. East Lansing.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: Just a gross place.
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: Loud.
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: Good atmosphere. But gross town.
- 1:19:25Speaker 4: For my Super Slate bonus games, it's the Oscars. First
- 1:19:32Speaker 4: game on the road, conference game, it's Nebraska.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: It's Calandria. It's Calandria.
- 1:19:36Speaker 5: It's Jamal Rule.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: It's Dane Key. It's Ja'Cory Barney. I got the Huskers
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: on the road.
- 1:19:44Speaker 5: I love it. Mowing down Michigan State. Did you watch
- 1:19:46Speaker 5: Michigan State last week? Don't need to.
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: I was just going to toss out a little token
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: nugget to them that they were a 29-and-a-half point dog.
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: They only gave up 27 to Notre Dame. So that's
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: something to build off of.
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: There you go.
- 1:20:02Speaker 5: This would be a good barometer for where the Huskers
- 1:20:05Speaker 5: are at.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: This is how good are we really.
- 1:20:07Speaker 5: Yeah. Five and a half point favorite on the road
- 1:20:10Speaker 5: in conference play.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: It's no joke.
- 1:20:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: You got to bump that up to nine and a half.
- 1:20:16Speaker 5: Oh, you're going to go alt line across seven? I
- 1:20:18Speaker 5: didn't say none of that.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: I was just suggesting. I think that's plant the flag.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: We like this team.
- 1:20:26Speaker 5: You got some ground to make up. That's true.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: Give me Huskers nine and a half.
- 1:20:32Speaker 5: I love it, dude.
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: Six and a half.
- 1:20:34Speaker 5: No, no, no.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: This is not a bait game.
- 1:20:36Speaker 5: No, I promise you it's a bait game. I promise
- 1:20:40Speaker 5: you it is.
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: I've watched the Huskers. They look like a legitimate college
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: football team right now. And they looked at it like
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: that last year this time. See what it is.
- 1:20:49Speaker 5: Bring up the alt lines, please.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: They looked like it this way last year. No, they didn't.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: This is a different team. This is a different year.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: This is not the same as last year. No, no, no.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: Plus 520. Hang on. Go up. Plus 520. Hang on.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: Go down. What the hell are we doing? All right,
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: this show is brought to you by Jack Daniels. Whether
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: I'm tailgating on the couch watching Michigan on Saturday, Jack
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: Daniels is a staple on my game day roster. They
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: got a flavor for every type of fan. They got
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: cinnamon kick of fire. Jack fire, the smooth taste of
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: Jack honey, the crisp and refreshing Jack apple, and the
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: only blackberry bursting with Jack. Personally, I'm a Jack honey guy.
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: Bold calls on the field and in your glass. There's
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: a jack for every football fan. Let's get back to
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: this episode. Oh, no.
- 1:21:38Speaker 5: There we go.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: Oh, oh, oh. Minus 18 and a half.
- 1:21:42Speaker 5: Scroll up.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: Scroll up. Just a little bit. Just show me a range.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: Show them between minus four and a half. There you go.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: Plus 138. Plus 138. Ooh. Dog, that's... That's not going
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: to get you really good. That's your Huskers.
- 1:22:01Speaker 5: Six and a half, Will.
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:22:04Speaker 5: Yeah. I'm thinking six and a half.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:22:07Speaker 5: I'm thinking six and a half.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:22:08Speaker 5: Just minus 106.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:22:11Speaker 5: Just stand for a lane somewhere in the middle. I
- 1:22:12Speaker 5: think you did the right thing.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: That's true.
- 1:22:14Speaker 5: Because this has 27 to 20 written all over it,
- 1:22:16Speaker 5: so I think you did the right thing.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: Do you like that bet?
- 1:22:20Speaker 5: I don't have an opinion on it. I haven't looked
- 1:22:22Speaker 5: at that game all that hard.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: Fair. I hope.
- 1:22:24Speaker 5: I hope they win by 30.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: Same. Yeah. Same. We need... Undefeated versus Indiana.
- 1:22:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: We need.
- 1:22:33Speaker 5: Madly.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: Yeah. And then we'll figure it out from there. Yeah.
- 1:22:36Speaker 5: Can I tell you something? Go ahead.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: We're going to get it. Hey, shut up. But the
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: good news, hey, he whispered that. Yeah, he whispered that.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: He whispered that. And we can handle that.
- 1:22:45Speaker 5: Not going to get on a soapbox.
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: Huh?
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: Not going to get on a soapbox.
- 1:22:48Speaker 5: Michigan State. Michigan State.
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: Michigan State. Focus on it. That's Fitzgerald.
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:22:52Speaker 5: Yep. It's going to be a tough game on the road.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: Do you have a bonus late game?
- 1:22:57Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm just laying the points with LSU. LSU minus
- 1:23:00Speaker 5: eight and a half.
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: Very smart.
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: Hate the offensive line with Texas A & M. Or
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: hate the play, not the people themselves.
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: Don't like quarterback at all. Think they've regressed there. Don't
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: feel like they have a single thing to hang their
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: hat on. Can't even run the ball all that effectively
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: right now. I mean, I'm not in love with LSU.
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: I think it's really spotty at quarterback right now. Offensive
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: line for both of these teams is a little sketchy.
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: I think the under also hits in this, but I'm
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: going LSU minus eight.
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: And a half. I like that.
- 1:23:28Speaker 5: That's part of the old Willie C. Parlay this week.
- 1:23:30Speaker 5: Is it? That's a good pick.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: Bonus late games. I'm not taking a total in the
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: entire game. There's been a lot of nasty words thrown
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: around about some quarterbacks around here, and they sit in
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: the A-gap. And Alabama, Keelan Russell, for them to have
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: a weather delay against Florida State come up, put up
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: 50 points. started very slow in the first half. A
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: team that starts very fast and tends to lose it
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: in the second half is South Carolina, which happens to
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: be the two teams that are playing this week. This
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: is my favorite play of the week, and it's the
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: halftime line between South Carolina and Alabama. You're taking the
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: second half? I'm taking the first half line.
- 1:24:08Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: South Carolina plus six and a half. I love it.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: And it, to me, like this is the one where
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: no guarantees in life, but I love this pick. I
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: love South Carolina running the ball. I like Lenora Sellers
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: facing adversity. I love Shane Beamer sitting there when even
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: South Carolina fans are like, we want to keep him,
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: but the but has officially gotten into the conversation. I
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: like South Carolina starting fast here. Second half, don't even
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: want to talk about it. Don't even want to talk
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: about it. Alabama, people are going to tell you they're
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: 30th in the nation rushing.
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:24:45Speaker 5: That's for four-quarter games.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: That's for four-quarter games.
- 1:24:47Speaker 5: Not for first halves.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: And that is also broken down passes. Keelan Russell's an
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: alien athlete. Like, we're lining up. We're snapping the ball.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: We're handing it to the running back. I'm still not
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: sold on that. So, I like South Carolina plus six
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: and a half. First half.
- 1:25:03Speaker 5: I hope it happens for the Gamecocks. For the Cockpits.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: It's a great bet. It's a great bet. You don't
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: like that. You should take it, Josh. You know DeBoer.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: You can bet that. And then Alabama. I'm going to
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: hammer it. Say that. There's one right there for you too.
- 1:25:16Speaker 4: Even if you're a Bama fan, DeBoer, that team, everything,
- 1:25:20Speaker 4: it's clearly the messaging is we got to start with
- 1:25:21Speaker 4: way more urgency. They're a phenomenal second half team, but
- 1:25:25Speaker 4: you know they're pissed off about not starting well in
- 1:25:27Speaker 4: their last couple weeks.
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: It's an extremely young team. Of all these top 10 teams,
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: most of them are far more veteran. Bama's like a
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: really young team, which is something to remember second half
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: of the year, and it's something to remember when you're
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: betting these first halves. Because that leads to a lot
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: of variants and potential way you come out of the gate.
- 1:25:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: Go to my community on FanDuel. You can find that
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: right there. It's right there. I do want to highlight
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: one more game because there's a lot of good slates. Obviously,
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: Big Ten plays taking place. Wolverines are at home against Iowa.
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: It's a big game. Oh, yeah. It's a huge game.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: And I just think... This is where we find out,
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: like 17 and 18 going at it. This game is
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: going to come down to just discipline, flags and turnovers.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: Iowa's great at not having them. Michigan's great at having them.
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: And it's just, can we, as a team, for four quarters,
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: not put the ball on the ground and keep the
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: laundry off of the field? If they can do those
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: two things, I believe in Michigan's talent. I also believe
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: that Iowa is the best coached team in college football
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: year in and year out. Like they are always in
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: the right spot. They never try to do anything sexy.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: They know who they are. Hank Brown, I think he
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: was 12 for 12 last week. Is that it? Tony
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: Diaz is a guy from like Grenadier State, some crazy
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: UT Grenadier State school. He's got a little X-Play material.
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: Wolverines are favored at minus five and a half, which
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: gets me into my dog of the week. I'm taking Iowa.
- 1:26:55Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: Plus five and a half in this game.
- 1:26:57Speaker 5: Jesus Christ. Wow.
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: I think this is a rock fight. I think it
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: comes down to the wire. I think two teams are
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: going to run the ball. I think they're going to
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: play defense. A punt is a win as we get
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: into it. I'm taking Iowa plus five and a half.
- 1:27:11Speaker 5: The way you described the game.
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: Michigan's going to win the game. Whoa. Guys, this is.
- 1:27:17Speaker 5: Close Michigan win.
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: A college football pick-em show. Yep. You watch the film.
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: You see what they've put on tape. I can be biased.
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: I've proven that time and time again.
- 1:27:27Speaker 5: But you watch film.
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: But I watch film. You watch film. And at the
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: end of the day, like, Iowa is never going to
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: be in the wrong spot. Ever. Like, can they rush passer? No.
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: But three, four-yard gains. Keep them. See if mistakes happen.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: Michigan's more likely to make the mistake than Iowa. I'm
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: looking at... five-day forecast over here. Go ahead.
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: The way you describe Iowa, Michigan, the way Iowa, Michigan
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: formulates itself in your head, don't you think rainy, upper 30s,
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: low 40s, gross?
- 1:27:56Speaker 5: That's how you want it. That's how you think about it.
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: 72 and sunny in Ann Arbor Saturday. Disgusting.
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: Most beautiful day. It's a day that should be points galore.
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: And these fools are about to play first to 20.
- 1:28:08Speaker 5: Yeah. You can tell it's coming, too.
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: This is where real football fans get to sit down
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: and watch the defense.
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: Get a little base tan. Bet a little under. Bet
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: the road dog, but the home money line.
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:28:20Speaker 5: It gets no better. It's beautiful. It gets no better.
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: And I hope to God I'm wrong. And Michigan wins
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: this game by 50 points. And I would gladly lose
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: a unit over that. Gladly lose a unit over that.
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: but no one picked this game to talk about. I
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: wanted to talk about it because I love my Wolverines,
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: but balls ball.
- 1:28:35Speaker 5: But you're fading them.
- 1:28:37Speaker 4: I'm fading the total, the line. If Iowa just wins that.
- 1:28:40Speaker 4: and Taylor won his bet.
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: Disgusting. That'd be disgusting. Damn. That's, yeah.
- 1:28:48Speaker 4: I'm going to take Mizzou at Mississippi State this weekend,
- 1:28:51Speaker 4: plus five and a half.
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: Really? Yeah.
- 1:28:53Speaker 4: I'm not saying, I don't, like they're not, I'm not
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: sitting here going money line with them. But I think
- 1:28:58Speaker 4: Mizzou's going to be able to run the football. They've
- 1:29:00Speaker 4: got this wide zone scheme that works very well for them.
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: Austin Simmons, he's got to get a little bit more accurate,
- 1:29:06Speaker 4: but I do love his poise, his footwork, everything in
- 1:29:09Speaker 4: the pocket, his release. They've got to clean some things up.
- 1:29:12Speaker 4: And then also, Mississippi State, they're on and up and
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: up right now. Kamaru Taylor, we've talked at length about
- 1:29:19Speaker 4: how much of a superstar this kid is. I think
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: they're a little vulnerable at the tackle spot. I think
- 1:29:24Speaker 4: Mizzou will be able to get after them a little
- 1:29:25Speaker 4: bit more. And again, it's all about It's all about
- 1:29:27Speaker 4: getting the man down on third down.
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: That's a tall task. It's tough to ask. It's hard
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: to do.
- 1:29:33Speaker 4: But as long as Mizzou, their back end, keeps the
- 1:29:35Speaker 4: ball in front of them, again, easier said than done
- 1:29:38Speaker 4: because they have lightning speed on the outside. But I'm
- 1:29:41Speaker 4: going to take Mizzou as an underdog, plus five and
- 1:29:43Speaker 4: a half on the road at Mississippi State.
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: How is Mizzou at rushing the passer?
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: They're okay.
- 1:29:49Speaker 4: And again, it's like you're going off the first few
- 1:29:52Speaker 4: weeks like their best opponent has been Kansas.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: Oh.
- 1:29:56Speaker 5: So it's kind of hard to tell.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:30:01Speaker 5: It's kind of hard to tell.
- 1:30:02Speaker 4: They said in the hype video, those are your words.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: I'm just reporting the news. You can't get mad at
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: me for saying what's been said. Why would you root
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: for them?
- 1:30:09Speaker 5: They support slavery.
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: Yeah. But I like the way that they're able to
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: run the football.
- 1:30:13Speaker 5: There's no comeback.
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: That's why they weren't my pick.
- 1:30:15Speaker 5: This is going to probably be on Friday Night Lions.
- 1:30:17Speaker 5: I actually love this. Mizzou plus five and a half?
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:30:20Speaker 5: Model loves it.
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: I love it.
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: You know what else the model loves? Cincinnati plus six
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: and a half. This is my favorite bet of the week.
- 1:30:27Speaker 5: Ask me why.
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: Why?
- 1:30:29Speaker 5: Please tell us why.
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: I got no clue, but the model loves Cincinnati plus
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: six and a half, so that's my dog of the week. Oh,
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: Cincinnati is at K-State? Yeah, I should have noted the
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: opponent because that is of interest. They're playing Kansas State.
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: I was going to say, like, Kansas State.
- 1:30:44Speaker 5: Pretty good team. Yeah. Model doesn't care.
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: Model doesn't care.
- 1:30:48Speaker 5: Model thinks that's been factored into the line.
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: You and D.J. LaFleur, it's him and Kansas State.
- 1:30:52Speaker 5: Yes. That's correct.
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: You guys love it.
- 1:30:56Speaker 5: We all die together.
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: He kind of just always whispers of Kansas State. Kansas State.
- 1:31:01Speaker 4: I had Kansas State like not doing well this year.
- 1:31:03Speaker 4: The fact that they've come out and they're 3-0 and
- 1:31:05Speaker 4: they've looked good offensively in the first three weeks, I'm
- 1:31:08Speaker 4: kind of just like, I guess the word is surprise.
- 1:31:11Speaker 5: Was it Kansas that you just took out back and
- 1:31:13Speaker 5: threw in the dumpster.
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: On the preview show? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. All my
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: futures right now are trending well.
- 1:31:19Speaker 5: Looking good. Mine are not. I haven't even checked mine.
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: Just wait for Sam Leavitt, dude.
- 1:31:24Speaker 5: I might have to throw an update traffic out there
- 1:31:25Speaker 5: on my boy Coop.
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: This is the last week for Sam Leavitt for me.
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: Then I have to jump ship. I have to get
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: out of there. I need a big game from him.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: Jump ship on Heisman. Yeah. Still love him, love the family.
- 1:31:39Speaker 5: I think Heisman.
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: Met them at College Game Day week one.
- 1:31:42Speaker 5: Good family.
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: Yeah. They watched the show. They were very positive. They
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: loved my take on Sam Levin. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:31:48Speaker 5: You're not out yet.
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: I'm not out yet. No, we have Texas A & M.
- 1:31:52Speaker 5: Fair.
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: Two teams coming off a loss. Who's who in the zoo?
- 1:31:54Speaker 4: They said Will's starting to believe now, too, in Levin.
- 1:31:57Speaker 4: After the first few weeks, I'm like, oh, he's not
- 1:31:59Speaker 4: going to win the Heisman. I think he's a good player.
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: Great player.
- 1:32:03Speaker 5: But when the Heisman.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: But there's too many.
- 1:32:04Speaker 5: Look at some of these cats out there. Yeah.
- 1:32:06Speaker 4: You got to watch Levitt versus Trinidad Chambliss. And you
- 1:32:10Speaker 4: watched the way Chambliss operated.
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: I'm just going to keep an eye on Michael Hawkins Jr. too.
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: West Virginia.
- 1:32:15Speaker 5: You know where he was before he was in West Virginia?
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: I know I picked up on the state, but you
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: pull this one out. You know where he transferred from?
- 1:32:19Speaker 5: Oklahoma. What could have been? Actually, he would just be
- 1:32:23Speaker 5: screwed into the ground right now, too.
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: Oh, my God. He'd be doing nothing. Yeah, because it's schematics.
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: Do you think it's really John Mateer's fault or it's
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: the pieces around him with the OC?
- 1:32:34Speaker 5: So I think there's a healthy amount of it to
- 1:32:36Speaker 5: go around.
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:32:37Speaker 5: I don't think it's as easy as one sentence, it's
- 1:32:40Speaker 5: this dude's fault.
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: Yeah. I hate it for John Mateer, though. I do, too.
- 1:32:43Speaker 5: I hate it for me.
- 1:32:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: You brought that up a lot on the show.
- 1:32:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel sorry for myself. It was last summer
- 1:32:49Speaker 4: you went hard on John Mateer because you got into...
- 1:32:52Speaker 4: Some deep lore, deep cut, John John Mateer high school ball.
- 1:32:57Speaker 5: You loved him. I watched some junior high film.
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: Did you really?
- 1:33:02Speaker 5: Yeah. I don't even think I'm supposed to have it.
- 1:33:03Speaker 5: I watched some junior high film.
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: Kid looked good. Kid looked good. You got some youth
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: football taste?
- 1:33:09Speaker 5: Hey, he was in your carpool, right? What do you
- 1:33:11Speaker 5: know about him?
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: Parleys. All right.
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: Here's what I'm on. I am on Oklahoma State Moneyline. Oh,
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: USC money line.
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: Hold on. Didn't you? Okay. You, you ended up switching
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: during the picks too, but you're still in your parlay. Yeah.
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: All right. So Oklahoma state money line, USC money line.
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: We call that the anti-Oregon special and then Ole Miss
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: money line. Those three together return, whatever it returns.
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:33:46Speaker 5: Do you have any idea the... Will it be in
- 1:33:48Speaker 5: your community?
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: Plus 974. Meet me in my community. Yeah, do it
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: in Josh Bates' community. It'll be in my community.
- 1:33:53Speaker 5: Plus 974.
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: Yours is? No, his. Oh, is it really? Those are three.
- 1:33:57Speaker 5: Those are two slight dog. Yeah, I mean, it should
