- 0:20Speaker 2: going at three zero to two under head coach Lane
- 0:22Speaker 2: Lambert their best starts so far through five games in
- 0:26Speaker 2: franchise story ever it fits you, Al Koniski and I
- 0:29Speaker 2: will touch on the matchup ahead. Plus also here more
- 0:32Speaker 2: from head coach Lane Lambert after the Crack and knocked
- 0:34Speaker 2: on the Maple Leafs four three two nights ago to

- 0:40Speaker 2: also stamping their victory in local baseball team colors again.

- 0:59Speaker 2: here and a flu back from Saturday with the Kraken
- 1:02Speaker 2: going right down to the wire against the Maple Leafs.
- 1:05Speaker 3: In the middle. Tolven it right circle, Mason Marshmint fires
- 1:08Speaker 3: turn a side rebound sane right scoress in his backyard.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Shane Wright puts the Kraken on the board won nothing.
- 1:19Speaker 4: With twelve thirty one left in the first while Mason
- 1:23Speaker 4: Marchman getting a great feed cross the ice there at
- 1:25Speaker 4: the top of the circle, sells the shot, finally puts
- 1:28Speaker 4: it on it and Stars gives a big rebound up
- 1:30Speaker 4: off of his right side. It goes right to right.
- 1:34Speaker 5: He puts the cracking up one night right works with
- 1:36Speaker 5: down the left side.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Marchmint drops back to right to Marchmint left circle in
- 1:41Speaker 3: the slot scoress.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Yochny new Man from the high slot.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Great puck movement by that line and the Kraken go
- 1:51Speaker 3: back up by a goal.
- 1:52Speaker 6: Two one, five forty one to play in the second.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Well, Shane Wright wins a puck battle in the neutral zone,
- 1:59Speaker 4: finds me Marchman coming up that left side, shoved it
- 2:02Speaker 4: up to him and then Marchman with a feed over
- 2:05Speaker 4: to Yanni Newman and we see that trademark one timer
- 2:08Speaker 4: into the back of the net two to one.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Crack at up.
- 2:11Speaker 6: Left link corner back to the line.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Tolling In holds it in for Seattle across.
- 2:15Speaker 7: Done Scoos fits Don from the right side through heavy
- 2:22Speaker 7: traffic in front, Stolars got ran into.
- 2:26Speaker 3: We'll see what this will be, but as of right now,
- 2:29Speaker 3: the goal will stand. And it was Brandon Carlow that
- 2:32Speaker 3: actually pushed the Kraken defender into Stolars.
- 2:37Speaker 6: That was Jade Schwartz.
- 2:39Speaker 3: So Carlo pushing Schwartz into his own goaltender. That should
- 2:44Speaker 3: not be goaltender interference and the cracking back on top
- 2:47Speaker 3: by a three to two skinners are.
- 2:49Speaker 6: Out to begin.
- 2:51Speaker 3: There'slanders jot right on and they scorn.
- 2:55Speaker 6: Down four second kicks into the power play. Jehn Tavares
- 3:04Speaker 6: won the draw, went right to the front of the net.
- 3:07Speaker 6: Kneelander took the shot and then he buries a rebound
- 3:10Speaker 6: three three words at Toronto. Back in Joshua around Larsen
- 3:13Speaker 6: stop saying crock what a same by Joey the chord Wow, Wow,
- 3:20Speaker 6: Joey the chord was caught leading Joshua faked him out
- 3:25Speaker 6: and to Chord able to hunt that near poast and
- 3:30Speaker 6: keep the puck in the blue paint. My goodness, zick
- 3:33Speaker 6: wah back in near sign Loretz in the circle shot turn.
- 3:37Speaker 7: A side rebound to Chord.
- 3:39Speaker 2: What a same Oliver.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Reckman Larsen down the slot to Chord caught a piece
- 3:45Speaker 3: of it. It might have also been blocked by Matty
- 3:48Speaker 3: Veneers and the Kraken go to overtrah right to left
- 3:53Speaker 3: far side. Ever leave now Mahura gets by Stooshura his.
- 4:02Speaker 7: First goal as a Seattle Kracking.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Win's it and overtime four three in Toronto.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Well I'll start it back at the end the cracking
- 4:12Speaker 4: in form her as he got that puck behind the net,
- 4:15Speaker 4: came out with a great feed depping up the side
- 4:17Speaker 4: of the boards. He got it back to him and
- 4:19Speaker 4: got a breakaway out of it, goes down that right side,
- 4:23Speaker 4: beat Stolars Cracking four to three, overtime win. Bring on
- 4:28Speaker 4: the final Cakes.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Josh Mhura getting his first goal since twenty twenty two
- 4:32Speaker 2: to twenty three, and the last time he scored a
- 4:34Speaker 2: goal it was against the same team in the Maple Leafs.
- 4:37Speaker 2: So a bother some draft is over. Josh Mhura on
- 4:41Speaker 2: the board, the Kracking going to ot for the fourth
- 4:43Speaker 2: consecutive game and they come out victorious now three to
- 4:46Speaker 2: zero and two. Still unbeaten in regulation under brand new
- 4:50Speaker 2: head coach Lane Lambert before the game the krack and
- 4:54Speaker 2: wearing Seattle Mariners jerseys in honor of the Mariners getting
- 4:58Speaker 2: to within one win of the World Old Series. Quite
- 5:01Speaker 2: a statement. And here's more with head coach Lane Lambert
- 5:03Speaker 2: talking about the significance of we're in the jersey plus
- 5:06Speaker 2: also what is reed is on the Kraken through five games.
- 5:10Speaker 2: After the win on Saturday.
- 5:11Speaker 8: Again, I thought we had guys make real solid contributions.
- 5:14Speaker 9: I thought, you know, John Hayden did a really good job.
- 5:17Speaker 8: He helped out on the penalty kill, you know, and
- 5:21Speaker 8: and obviously you know Mahera with the goal at the end,
- 5:27Speaker 8: you know, stepping into a situation or a position.
- 5:30Speaker 9: You know, we've put him in in that position and
- 5:33Speaker 9: exhibition as well, where he's played on the power play,
- 5:35Speaker 9: so you know he has it. Was.
- 5:38Speaker 8: It was really good to see and I thought our
- 5:40Speaker 8: guys stuck with it. You know.
- 5:42Speaker 9: It wasn't perfect by any stretch, but it was.
- 5:44Speaker 8: It was a pretty good hockey game for us in
- 5:46Speaker 8: a very very good building.
- 5:49Speaker 10: It is early in the season, but is it important
- 5:51Speaker 10: to come away with two points in the situa when
- 5:53Speaker 10: you're playing an overtime game like that? For the third
- 5:56Speaker 10: night in a row. In the previous two you got
- 5:58Speaker 10: one to the psychological.
- 6:00Speaker 9: Yeah, very it's huge. Yeah, it's huge.
- 6:02Speaker 8: You know, to maybe not come away with two points
- 6:05Speaker 8: tonight would have been super disheartening because we've been in
- 6:08Speaker 8: that situation, you know, the past couple of games.
- 6:12Speaker 9: But you know, we're in tight hockey games. It's the
- 6:15Speaker 9: way it is.
- 6:15Speaker 8: And you know, it's the fourth overtime game in a row,
- 6:18Speaker 8: so we expect to be in tight hockey games for
- 6:21Speaker 8: the most part, and we have to be comfortable playing
- 6:24Speaker 8: in those games. And it was nice to see our
- 6:26Speaker 8: guys get rewarded for what they've done. With you playing
- 6:29Speaker 8: all that overtime, how much do you kind of look
- 6:31Speaker 8: at that when it comes to you know what last time,
- 6:34Speaker 8: what you.
- 6:35Speaker 9: Know, what you need to adjust for this time with overtime.
- 6:38Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean you definitely take different looks at at overtime.
- 6:41Speaker 8: And there was a play in our first overtime game
- 6:45Speaker 8: where Shaye theed or got the pocket came down the
- 6:48Speaker 8: ice on Jordan. Ever they were trying to avoid those
- 6:50Speaker 8: types of situations, you know, so you you do some
- 6:53Speaker 8: work on it, but at the end of the day too,
- 6:55Speaker 8: I think our guys have done a really good job
- 6:57Speaker 8: of using their instincts and on the three nds and
- 7:01Speaker 8: have done a real good job of uh controlling the puck.
- 7:05Speaker 8: You know, for me, it's probably the best I've seen
- 7:07Speaker 8: for a while.
- 7:08Speaker 9: Play the uh five games you guys have played so
- 7:10Speaker 9: far of the season. What have you liked about how
- 7:12Speaker 9: you've approached games in terms of your future? Yeah, I've
- 7:17Speaker 9: enjoyed that a lot. Actually, I think our team's competing.
- 7:21Speaker 8: You know, there's there's things that happen out there, but
- 7:25Speaker 8: they're not for a lack of trying. And you know,
- 7:30Speaker 8: that's really the the number one first message we had
- 7:34Speaker 8: at training camp, and our guys have embraced that and
- 7:36Speaker 8: they're doing.
- 7:36Speaker 9: A great job of it. What have you seen from
- 7:38Speaker 9: Shane right, it's making him so effective? Well, he's uh,
- 7:40Speaker 9: he had a great game tonight.
- 7:42Speaker 8: I think for me, Uh, Shane, when he's moving his
- 7:45Speaker 8: feet right and when he's having confidence that he you
- 7:49Speaker 8: know that he can keep the puck and own the puck, uh,
- 7:53Speaker 8: he's gonna continue.
- 7:54Speaker 9: To have more success. So I thought I had a
- 7:56Speaker 9: really good game tonight.
- 7:57Speaker 4: When you see the jersey you're wearing to what was
- 7:59Speaker 4: important to kind of do that and express support for
- 8:02Speaker 4: the Marriags as they go for the World Series.
- 8:04Speaker 8: So well, I think it's mutual. I think, uh, you know,
- 8:09Speaker 8: Josh Naylor supports us too. He was wearing our jersey
- 8:13Speaker 8: after they won, you know, in in in the locker room,
- 8:17Speaker 8: and you know, I it's again, it's about our our hometown,
- 8:22Speaker 8: and it's about our our fans and m and our city.
- 8:26Speaker 9: And I'll say it again.
- 8:28Speaker 8: Our city is a great sports town and we've had
- 8:31Speaker 8: you know, we have great fans.
- 8:32Speaker 9: Uh in every uh you know, in every.
- 8:34Speaker 8: Sport, and you know, uh we're supporting them just as
- 8:38Speaker 8: they would support.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Us on a personal mot is a win like this
- 8:42Speaker 2: in this building.
- 8:43Speaker 9: Specialty, well it's better than losing, you know.
- 8:46Speaker 8: So uh you know I I again, I I you know,
- 8:51Speaker 8: I have a lot of respect for the organization, the
- 8:53Speaker 8: people in the organization from top to bottom, the players
- 8:56Speaker 8: that were on the ice tonight against us.
- 8:59Speaker 9: But yeah, I mean for me, it's it's.
- 9:02Speaker 8: You know, we get we get a win and we
- 9:04Speaker 8: keep going and it doesn't really matter who we're playing.
- 9:07Speaker 4: What would you think of Tail jumping into the role
- 9:09Speaker 4: he did and getting some powerfully time and kind of
- 9:11Speaker 4: handling that role with mine.
- 9:12Speaker 9: Yeah, I thought he did a good job.
- 9:14Speaker 8: You know, it's tough when you haven't played for a
- 9:16Speaker 8: little bit, and he I thought he handled that very well.
- 9:22Speaker 8: I thought he played well in exhibition. There's a reason
- 9:24Speaker 8: he's here right now, and you know, he played well
- 9:29Speaker 8: and and he's kept himself ready to go.
- 9:32Speaker 9: What people don't see behind the scenes.
- 9:34Speaker 8: Is his work ethic on days off and days when
- 9:41Speaker 8: you know we're having games.
- 9:42Speaker 9: And he's not in the lineup.
- 9:44Speaker 8: And you know, if you do that, and if you
- 9:46Speaker 8: take the right approach, you give yourself a chance to
- 9:48Speaker 8: have success when you do.
- 9:49Speaker 9: Draw into the lineup.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Gonna be a pretty busy week ahead here for the
- 9:52Speaker 2: Crack and when they take on Philadelphia tonight, Washington tomorrow,
- 9:56Speaker 2: Winnipeg to end the trip on Thursday, and then come
- 9:58Speaker 2: right back home to face the the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.
- 10:02Speaker 2: But the Crack and so far passing many tests. Right
- 10:05Speaker 2: now at three zero and two to preview matters, everet
- 10:09Speaker 2: fits you, Al Konski and myself dive into it all
- 10:13Speaker 2: a part of crack and weekly.
- 10:14Speaker 5: You can't afford to take the Flyers lightly right. You
- 10:16Speaker 5: know you heard John Walton talk about how this is
- 10:18Speaker 5: gonna be a team that they're gonna struggle to score goals.
- 10:20Speaker 9: This year.
- 10:21Speaker 5: You bring in Rick Tockett, so you know, I think
- 10:23Speaker 5: that's another team that, like Seattle, is going to have
- 10:26Speaker 5: a change of identity. We saw what he did in Vancouver,
- 10:30Speaker 5: and I think he's the right man.
- 10:31Speaker 4: For the job.
- 10:31Speaker 5: But they're still a very young team. And going through
- 10:34Speaker 5: all my player notes for the game here tonight, you
- 10:37Speaker 5: know they've got fifteen guys who have five or less
- 10:42Speaker 5: years of service time in the NHL. So this is
- 10:46Speaker 5: a pretty young team in Philly. I hate the phrase
- 10:50Speaker 5: trap game, I really do. I'm not even gonna use it,
- 10:53Speaker 5: but this is a game that potentially for Seattle, you
- 10:56Speaker 5: can't afford to overlook them because you've got Washington to night.
- 11:00Speaker 5: I think Philadelphia, you know, they're they're a team that
- 11:05Speaker 5: can score if you let them. Dan Vladar six one
- 11:09Speaker 5: in one all time against the Kraken. He's five zero
- 11:12Speaker 5: and one in the last six against Seattle. So if
- 11:16Speaker 5: Vladar is the guy going tonight, uh that that doesn't
- 11:20Speaker 5: bode well. You know, historically for Seattle, this is a
- 11:23Speaker 5: game that even though you got Wash coming up tomorrow,
- 11:25Speaker 5: you cannot afford to take them lightly.
- 11:27Speaker 4: Funny you mentioned Dan Vadar because I thought the same
- 11:29Speaker 4: thing as well, And I looked back at the game
- 11:31Speaker 4: logs for the Flyers so far, and they flip flopped
- 11:33Speaker 4: every game. It's been Samuel jis Arson, Daniel Voladar, back
- 11:36Speaker 4: and forth. And if that holds true, it should be
- 11:38Speaker 4: Samuel Arrison tonight. I don't think it's gonna be if
- 11:41Speaker 4: you look at that record with Dan Voladar. So we'll see.
- 11:44Speaker 4: But you know, the thing about it is with a
- 11:45Speaker 4: ricktocket coach team is you know, the compete level is
- 11:48Speaker 4: gonna be high. You know, then no quit level is
- 11:50Speaker 4: gonna be high. You know, the workff effort's gonna be there.
- 11:54Speaker 4: I think that's a lot of the Kraken identity as well.
- 11:56Speaker 4: So it's gonna be a battle.
- 11:58Speaker 2: For what it's worth. Lane Lambert, looking for his first
- 12:00Speaker 2: win head to head against Rick Tockett, too, previously faced
- 12:04Speaker 2: off when Taka just took the Canucks job, succeeding Bruce Boudreau.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Lane Lambert was back with the Islanders. But I mean,
- 12:10Speaker 2: as they say, coaches often can be changed men when
- 12:13Speaker 2: they get into their second NHL job here and Lane
- 12:16Speaker 2: Lambert right now doing some pretty incredible things. So he's
- 12:18Speaker 2: looking to get his first win against Rick Tocket. Had
- 12:21Speaker 2: to head here for this evening before we move on
- 12:23Speaker 2: to the ideal week ahead and our three Stars picks.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I didn't want to kind of put the spotlight on
- 12:28Speaker 2: the Matty Beaneer's line because we talked about so much
- 12:31Speaker 2: during the offseason. Where Matti beaneers goes, this team could
- 12:35Speaker 2: go as well. And again Everett, you mentioned we hate
- 12:38Speaker 2: talking about twenty twenty two to twenty three. It's getting
- 12:41Speaker 2: up there now with comparing you know, the expansion draft
- 12:44Speaker 2: here to Vegas way like back five years ago. But
- 12:48Speaker 2: Matty Beaneer's that set the bar for his production. But
- 12:51Speaker 2: now the league figures you out and what can you
- 12:53Speaker 2: do to win that cat and mouse game to get
- 12:55Speaker 2: back to your ideal numbers? Right now, Beaniir's with three
- 12:59Speaker 2: points in five games. He's playing also with Jared McCann
- 13:03Speaker 2: near point per game, leading goal scorer on this team,
- 13:06Speaker 2: and Jordan Eberley four assists through five games. But you're
- 13:11Speaker 2: not looking at just a baseline numbers here for Beneers.
- 13:16Speaker 2: I've looked over and over and over at one on
- 13:19Speaker 2: one foot races and I'm not groaning. Oh, he should
- 13:22Speaker 2: have had that one. He should have had that one.
- 13:23Speaker 2: It's wow, what a play. He took the body, he
- 13:26Speaker 2: laid the shoulder in. He's doing damage back in his
- 13:30Speaker 2: own zone in a good way and finding the exit
- 13:33Speaker 2: lane for this team. But also he's finding a way
- 13:36Speaker 2: to produce. Help out McCann, help out Eberley, and this
- 13:41Speaker 2: is what you want. Can you find your guy who
- 13:44Speaker 2: now has taking a leadership role even more with an
- 13:47Speaker 2: A on the front of his jersey and having played
- 13:49Speaker 2: a complete two hundred foot game. Matty Beaneers, so far,
- 13:54Speaker 2: so good.
- 13:55Speaker 5: Yeah, we talk about the crack in every game they play,
- 13:57Speaker 5: it seems like you're saying to yourself, man, this might
- 14:01Speaker 5: be the best game that I think we've seen this season.
- 14:03Speaker 5: And I feel like with Matti Beaneers, every game he's played,
- 14:06Speaker 5: I feel like I find myself saying, man, this might
- 14:09Speaker 5: be one of his best performances in the last couple
- 14:11Speaker 5: of years here in Seattle. And it's not a bad thing, right,
- 14:13Speaker 5: It's just him maturing and growing.
- 14:17Speaker 6: You know.
- 14:17Speaker 5: Coming into the season, they were talking about him as
- 14:19Speaker 5: a Selkie dark horse for you know, one of the
- 14:21Speaker 5: top defensive forwards in the league, and he's turning into
- 14:25Speaker 5: a defensive minded, responsible two way player. And you're right,
- 14:29Speaker 5: I think now that he is, you know, going through
- 14:32Speaker 5: the league for the fourth time and he's seeing a
- 14:34Speaker 5: lot of these teams again, and you know, you start
- 14:37Speaker 5: to know what it takes to be at your best
- 14:40Speaker 5: every day and bring you know, ninety percent minimum every
- 14:45Speaker 5: single day. Right, You're finding out what it takes to
- 14:48Speaker 5: survive in this league, and it's paying off dividends and
- 14:51Speaker 5: watching him play this year. This is the Mattivaneers that
- 14:55Speaker 5: the Kraken drafted. This is the Matt Evaneers that they
- 14:58Speaker 5: expected to get when when he came here to Seattle.
- 15:02Speaker 5: And I think he's just getting started this season.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Yeah, you and I have talked a lot about him
- 15:06Speaker 4: over this past week. And the thing that I'm seeing
- 15:09Speaker 4: is another element to his game that I didn't see
- 15:12Speaker 4: over the past two seasons. Over the past two seasons,
- 15:15Speaker 4: you know, when given the opportunity a plus in offensive ability,
- 15:20Speaker 4: but he struggled on the defensive side of the puck.
- 15:22Speaker 4: I'm not seeing that as much this year. And you know,
- 15:24Speaker 4: for the kids out there, it's like unlocking a skin
- 15:27Speaker 4: for your character in a game where they become stronger,
- 15:30Speaker 4: they become bigger, they become faster. Maybe it's a suit
- 15:33Speaker 4: of arm or whatever, but that's what I'm seeing in Mattyveners.
- 15:36Speaker 4: His game has grown to a new level and it's
- 15:39Speaker 4: exciting to.
- 15:39Speaker 2: See cracking ready to face off and matchup one up
- 15:42Speaker 2: to this season against the Flyers, and they've had a
- 15:45Speaker 2: pretty good taste of success in their franchise history against
- 15:48Speaker 2: the Flyers at five to two and one all time.
- 15:50Speaker 2: They are two and two against Philadelphia and won both
- 15:54Speaker 2: matchups last season by scoring a combined ten goals. Then's
- 15:58Speaker 2: done to point getting leader right now five points in
- 16:01Speaker 2: five games, and not too far behind him Jared McCann,
- 16:04Speaker 2: Chandler Stevens and Shane Wright, Jayden Schwartz, Mason Marshman and
- 16:07Speaker 2: Jordan Eberly all with four. Brandon Montour, who is not
- 16:10Speaker 2: available here to the team away on personal leave for
- 16:13Speaker 2: a family matter. He's got four points as well. We'll
- 16:17Speaker 2: look forward to getting him back in the course when
- 16:19Speaker 2: the time is right. But the Kraken also recalling defenseman
- 16:22Speaker 2: Ville Ottovinen one day after Ryan Lindgren left the overtime
- 16:27Speaker 2: win against Toronto when he got a puck deflected right
- 16:30Speaker 2: in the facial areas. So we'll see how the lineup
- 16:32Speaker 2: shakes out here for this one this evening with the
- 16:35Speaker 2: crack and still trying to tap into the next man
- 16:37Speaker 2: up mentality, Copocaco, Riker Evans, and Freddie Gudreau all on
- 16:41Speaker 2: ir montour away from the team and the status of
- 16:44Speaker 2: lyn Gren right now. Will wait and see.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Bill.
