- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome into this week's episode of Inside the Charge Medic
- 0:03Speaker 1: Glab alongside two of our defensive linemen, Greg Russo and
- 0:06Speaker 1: aj Epinesso. We're talking fits, We're talking their relationship and
- 0:10Speaker 1: the defensive line. It's gonna be a really fun episode.
- 0:21Speaker 1: All right, Greg, Aja, thanks for being on this week.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Appreciate you guys. We're fresh off of a bye week
- 0:26Speaker 1: and into the final five games of the season, a
- 0:30Speaker 1: really exciting stretch ahead. You guys have been looking good
- 0:35Speaker 1: so far this season, though. That's where I would like
- 0:38Speaker 1: to start here, before we get into you two and
- 0:41Speaker 1: the defensive line. You've put on some pretty good fits.
- 0:44Speaker 1: So I've pulled a couple. There's a couple more we
- 0:47Speaker 1: want me we might talk about Aj. I'll start with you.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Would you like to describe one of your favorite looks
- 1:01Speaker 1: so far this season. We've got two that we've printed out. Yeah,
- 1:05Speaker 1: what do we want to start with here?
- 1:07Speaker 2: I'll start with this first one. This is a it's
- 1:10Speaker 2: a sweatsuit. I'm pretty sure it's from the Alchemist.
- 1:13Speaker 1: It's like the army green colored sweatsuit almost looks like.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Going through it.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure these are like they have some kind
- 1:23Speaker 2: of it's like a texture to it.
- 1:24Speaker 3: It's kind of a weird feeling. But my favorite part
- 1:26Speaker 3: of them is the shoes.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I think they're the the Easy boots, so the Easy
- 1:30Speaker 2: seven hundreds or something like. I forget the numbers, they
- 1:32Speaker 2: get so complicated, but but yeah, the Easies are probably
- 1:36Speaker 2: my favorite part.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Of the fit.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Okay, that that was really nice. Do you remember what
- 1:40Speaker 1: game that was?
- 1:40Speaker 2: For this?
- 1:43Speaker 1: I don't remember.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Off it was a night game, as I can see. No,
- 1:50Speaker 3: I can't remember.
- 1:51Speaker 1: That's all good. I was just curious. Really nice looks,
- 1:55Speaker 1: so like a tracksuit kind of sweatsuit fit. You got
- 1:58Speaker 1: the sweatshirt, you got pants on.
- 2:00Speaker 3: It's got a little players coming off the sides too.
- 2:02Speaker 1: And is that a Louis bag that you're carrying? A
- 2:04Speaker 1: Louis backpack? That is describe that?
- 2:08Speaker 3: Yeah, guess how much?
- 2:13Speaker 1: Greg? What was one of your favorite fits this season?
- 2:16Speaker 3: Uh?
- 2:16Speaker 4: For me, I like this. It's a it's a simple one,
- 2:19Speaker 4: but it's like this.
- 2:20Speaker 5: Ivy Park green sweatsuit with like a cool texture, and
- 2:24Speaker 5: they had the shoes on and then the gallery department
- 2:27Speaker 5: had it was simple, but sometimes you got to go
- 2:30Speaker 5: just smooth and simple. I feel like in the game
- 2:32Speaker 5: it was four was. I think it's definitely a night game.
- 2:35Speaker 5: I think it's Monday night. First Denver, I think so
- 2:39Speaker 5: some shoes, Ye shoes, Ivy Park, which is like you
- 2:42Speaker 5: Park is pretty much Adidas. Yeah, I think it's like
- 2:45Speaker 5: Beyonce's line or whatever. And then Gallery hat and then.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Yeah, the material of it looked really cool.
- 2:51Speaker 5: It was really comfortable, but it was like obviously you
- 2:54Speaker 5: see how the light kind of reflects off it.
- 2:56Speaker 4: It's a cool It's a real different look.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I feel like it was a look and I feel
- 3:01Speaker 1: like I've seen you both in Gallery and I've seen
- 3:03Speaker 1: a lot of the defensive linemen and Gallery department. Do
- 3:06Speaker 1: you guys like that that Brandeah, that's real comfortable to wear.
- 3:11Speaker 1: That's good, all right? AJ next for you, what's another
- 3:14Speaker 1: one you like?
- 3:15Speaker 3: This is one of my favorites.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I've got the start with the glasses because I went
- 3:22Speaker 1: through every game this season arrival photos and you were
- 3:25Speaker 1: rocking those glasses for like the beginning half of the
- 3:29Speaker 1: season when it was nice outside. What are those glasses?
- 3:32Speaker 3: These are those are?
- 3:34Speaker 2: I want to say they're your basic ray band.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Just rounded edges nicely.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Yeah. I think I just was able to find a
- 3:43Speaker 2: pair that just fit this big old.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Melon right here, movie star in them.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I tried to get my my inner Tom Cruise
- 3:50Speaker 2: vibes coming out. But the second look, I kind of
- 3:54Speaker 2: like it because I'm a huge cargo pant guy.
- 3:55Speaker 3: I got a lot of things on me.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I like to have my pockets, to have your pocket
- 3:59Speaker 2: plain white tea with the with the Louis jacket and
- 4:03Speaker 2: some Louis shoes.
- 4:04Speaker 3: On as well. Try to throw some designer in there,
- 4:06Speaker 3: a little.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Bit shoes and the Louis jacket.
- 4:08Speaker 2: But I would say, I mean, I love the jacket.
- 4:10Speaker 2: But these are one of my favorite pair of pants,
- 4:12Speaker 2: Like they can go with any anything. Cargoes, they're probably
- 4:15Speaker 2: they're the cheapest part of the outfit by far.
- 4:17Speaker 3: And yeah you know.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Brand of cargoes. Those are H and M H and
- 4:21Speaker 1: M everybody.
- 4:24Speaker 3: But yeah, this is definitely one of my favorite look.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Solid look because it's not like Louis in your face.
- 4:29Speaker 1: It's like you have to get up close.
- 4:30Speaker 4: To realize its real subtle.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Yeah, you gotta get real.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Louis.
- 4:37Speaker 3: That's definitely the boy.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Greg. What's been another favorite look for you? For me?
- 4:41Speaker 4: I had this little fit.
- 4:42Speaker 5: I think this is from when we play the Jets,
- 4:45Speaker 5: I'll start the shoes, just some land and shoes. They
- 4:48Speaker 5: kind of got that oversize look to them. The laces
- 4:51Speaker 5: are like the shoes with the really big laces.
- 4:52Speaker 1: You can wear the oversized stuff because I wear a
- 4:55Speaker 1: lot of overseted stuff because yeah, it makes sense to
- 4:57Speaker 1: them tall and what.
- 4:59Speaker 5: And then I had these jeans I got from Feature
- 5:01Speaker 5: in Las Vegas. I know who brand they are, but
- 5:03Speaker 5: they're cool cause they kind of have like it looks
- 5:05Speaker 5: like I'm wearing tights that are like Leopard printed if
- 5:07Speaker 5: you look closely.
- 5:09Speaker 4: So I feel like it was a cool little change up.
- 5:11Speaker 5: And there's like patches, like almost as if like like yeah,
- 5:15Speaker 5: like pieces of it was like were ripped out or whatever,
- 5:17Speaker 5: and then like you put a.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Patch on it.
- 5:19Speaker 4: And then I had a Supreme hat.
- 5:21Speaker 5: And then I had this young thug little sweater from
- 5:24Speaker 5: Haunted and then my, uh, it's pretty much it. And
- 5:28Speaker 5: I had a little bit of jewelry on is to
- 5:30Speaker 5: give a little subtle flex ag was talking about. So, yeah,
- 5:33Speaker 5: one of my one of my face for sure.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Oh are you a young fan?
- 5:37Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, he's one of my favorite artists. So yeah,
- 5:40Speaker 5: I had to give him a little shout out real,
- 5:41Speaker 5: he doesn't know who I am.
- 5:42Speaker 1: But the Supreme hat, yeah.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Supreme hat was a little just cherry on top?
- 5:52Speaker 3: Why not?
- 5:52Speaker 1: And you got some jewelry on a jewelry guy, or.
- 5:56Speaker 2: The jewelry I've had guys try to convince me. I've
- 5:59Speaker 2: I've never been here, jewelry guy. It's never I thought
- 6:01Speaker 2: things on my wrist felt funky. I've never had my
- 6:03Speaker 2: ears of hers. I've always had a little tiny chain.
- 6:06Speaker 2: And I just am not one of those kind of guys.
- 6:10Speaker 2: So maybe one day, but it's not my priorities, you know.
- 6:12Speaker 3: What I mean.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I feel you. I feel you so how far in advance?
- 6:17Speaker 1: I love asking this question. Do you guys plan out
- 6:19Speaker 1: these outfits? I'll take these sheets from you.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Here you go. Me.
- 6:24Speaker 2: I'm like a last like first next couple of days
- 6:28Speaker 2: or a couple days before the I'm not like thinking
- 6:30Speaker 2: about it all the time.
- 6:31Speaker 3: It'll be like the night before or maybe the day
- 6:33Speaker 3: before or that.
- 6:36Speaker 5: Really kind of how AJ said, I might have like
- 6:38Speaker 5: a loose thought in my mind during the week, like
- 6:40Speaker 5: oh I still haven't worn this or that. But there's
- 6:43Speaker 5: been times like when we play like a night game,
- 6:45Speaker 5: I literally go home that day and go in my
- 6:47Speaker 5: closet for like thirty minutes and be like, all right,
- 6:49Speaker 5: let me put some stuff together. So sometimes I plan
- 6:51Speaker 5: it before a couple of days before, but a lot
- 6:53Speaker 5: of times it's like in a moment. But if we
- 6:55Speaker 5: have an one o'clock game, I usually do it like
- 6:57Speaker 5: a day or two before, because it's no time in
- 6:59Speaker 5: the morning.
- 6:59Speaker 1: When we have on the clugg So are you guys
- 7:01Speaker 1: buying stuff throughout the season in terms of what you're wearing,
- 7:05Speaker 1: or are you doing a lot of stuff purchasing wise
- 7:07Speaker 1: in the off season.
- 7:09Speaker 3: I'd say a little mix of both.
- 7:10Speaker 2: There's you going the off season, maybe buy a few
- 7:13Speaker 2: things here or there, but.
- 7:17Speaker 3: It's just they just start.
- 7:18Speaker 2: To kind of I guess accumulate or like you start
- 7:21Speaker 2: to figure out your style and so you don't have
- 7:23Speaker 2: to go to these certain stores to get these big
- 7:25Speaker 2: expensive things.
- 7:26Speaker 3: It's more so like what you put together collectively.
- 7:29Speaker 1: You're not going to the Louis store in Toronto every
- 7:32Speaker 1: every other weekend buying enough stuff.
- 7:34Speaker 2: I mean, trust me, it's fun to go in there
- 7:36Speaker 2: and to be able to do stuff, but yeah, it's not.
- 7:39Speaker 2: It's it's it feels like a burden. Sometimes I hate
- 7:41Speaker 2: I hate going in there.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Sometimes you're not a shopper. Yes, I'm not sure for
- 7:46Speaker 1: sure you a shopper, not.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Really a shopper.
- 7:48Speaker 5: I feel like kind of what A said, like it
- 7:50Speaker 5: kind of accumulates, like you'll go, you'll travel here and
- 7:52Speaker 5: you'll grab this jacket, and you'll travel here and grab
- 7:55Speaker 5: the sweatsuit or this par of jeans, like that par
- 7:57Speaker 5: of jeans that have to Las Vegas. But I didn't
- 7:59Speaker 5: try to put it together. It's just in my closet.
- 8:01Speaker 5: So things kind of build up as you travel, or
- 8:03Speaker 5: at least for me in the off season and then
- 8:05Speaker 5: during the season, I don't really buy much unless I
- 8:06Speaker 5: really see something I like. I guess by it's usually
- 8:10Speaker 5: like online because when we're here obviously it's more like football,
- 8:14Speaker 5: and it's not like we don't have like a crazy
- 8:16Speaker 5: mall around here.
- 8:18Speaker 4: The nearest is probably, like you said, Toronto.
- 8:21Speaker 5: Yeah, I've never even been there, so yeah, yeah.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Age, do you feel like you've stepped up your your
- 8:28Speaker 1: your game this year in terms of what you're putting
- 8:30Speaker 1: on Rocket?
- 8:33Speaker 2: I think I've stepped I think I've stepped it up
- 8:37Speaker 2: at I think I've stepped it up a little bit,
- 8:40Speaker 2: and that's just uh, that's just me growing up a
- 8:44Speaker 2: little bit. Yeah, Greg and who else has been influencing Kwanne.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I love the I love the group pictures that you
- 8:59Speaker 1: guys tay for home games.
- 9:01Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I do look forward to those.
- 9:03Speaker 4: It's always fun.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:04Speaker 1: How do you guys coordinate? Is it like, all right,
- 9:06Speaker 1: meet here at this time, walking out at the same time.
- 9:12Speaker 2: It's natural, It's kind of everyone kind of gets there organically,
- 9:16Speaker 2: but then we kind of wait for each other leave
- 9:17Speaker 2: so we can all grab the picture.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I love that. Well, you guys have looked good throughout
- 9:21Speaker 1: the season. I know you're going to continue to do
- 9:23Speaker 1: this as we push to the final five games and
- 9:27Speaker 1: then the playoffs as well. Fingers crossed for that. I
- 9:30Speaker 1: believe in you guys. All right, let's get into a
- 9:32Speaker 1: little bit more about the position group, your relationship with
- 9:35Speaker 1: each other, and a little bit more in a segment
- 9:37Speaker 1: we like to call talk about it. Okay, you guys
- 9:46Speaker 1: were drafted a year apart from each other. Sometimes I
- 9:49Speaker 1: feel like you're drafted in the same draft class, just
- 9:52Speaker 1: because I know you guys are tight, just being a
- 9:56Speaker 1: season apart. You were draft during COVID, So I feel
- 9:59Speaker 1: like that kind of is a the COVID years is
- 10:03Speaker 1: easy to forget about just because we were doing the
- 10:05Speaker 1: same thing over and over and over again. Everybody's at home.
- 10:08Speaker 1: But anyways, you guys have been working together for a
- 10:12Speaker 1: few seasons now, So how has your connection grown since
- 10:16Speaker 1: you first since you had that first year together, which
- 10:19Speaker 1: was twenty twenty one.
- 10:22Speaker 2: I would start off by saying, like, yeah, twenty twenty
- 10:24Speaker 2: was definitely a crazy year. I was the lone rookie
- 10:27Speaker 2: with a lot of older guys, and I think Ed
- 10:29Speaker 2: was the exception. But Ed had been here and established
- 10:32Speaker 2: himself early, so he was treated like a vet, and
- 10:35Speaker 2: so I felt like I was the only young guy
- 10:36Speaker 2: in the room. And then when Greg came along, kind
- 10:38Speaker 2: of I don't even know how to describe it, like
- 10:41Speaker 2: similar pains, I guess, where like we're both the young
- 10:43Speaker 2: guy in the room kind and we're both earning our stripes,
- 10:45Speaker 2: learning the way, and I mean we were able to
- 10:48Speaker 2: obviously bond because we're good buddies, but I mean similarities
- 10:51Speaker 2: and things like that as well just kind of also
- 10:53Speaker 2: push you to learn more about each other.
- 10:56Speaker 1: What similarities do you guys have with each other, Greg,
- 10:58Speaker 1: what are some things that you guys like?
- 11:02Speaker 5: I feel like we both we both love anime for sure.
- 11:05Speaker 5: We both obviously were on the same team play defensive end,
- 11:08Speaker 5: and I feel like we're both kind of got similar
- 11:11Speaker 5: body type, so I feel like our game is similar
- 11:13Speaker 5: to it. A lot of times, me and AJ like
- 11:15Speaker 5: and meetings were always constantly bouncing ideas off each other's
- 11:19Speaker 5: mind and whatever we see our practice of seeing the game,
- 11:21Speaker 5: we're like, oh, you saw this, you saw this, So
- 11:23Speaker 5: we always kind of try to help each other grow.
- 11:25Speaker 5: And I feel like my success AJ's and vice first.
- 11:28Speaker 5: I'm sure he feels the same. So I feel like
- 11:30Speaker 5: that kind of helped our relationship, just being able to
- 11:32Speaker 5: always grow together.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, let's start with the anime first. Have you
- 11:37Speaker 1: guys always liked anime? Is this something you started like
- 11:40Speaker 1: more once you came to Buffalo. I feel like the
- 11:42Speaker 1: defensive line as a whole enjoys anime. There was that
- 11:46Speaker 1: TikTok that just came out and you guys were all
- 11:48Speaker 1: huddled around each other names and anime, and you guys
- 11:53Speaker 1: are doing a great job in it. So, Greg, how
- 11:55Speaker 1: long have you liked anime?
- 11:57Speaker 4: Since I was a kid kind of.
- 12:00Speaker 5: I started lik with Dragon ball Z then like got
- 12:03Speaker 5: on the Naruto tap On tight End and it's kind
- 12:07Speaker 5: of like it kind of feel like anime is kind
- 12:08Speaker 5: of like a like a trying to I don't know,
- 12:13Speaker 5: maybe maybe a cultural thing like where you're from. People
- 12:15Speaker 5: some people like it. Some places they don't watch it
- 12:17Speaker 5: as much. But when I got here to Buffalo taught
- 12:19Speaker 5: the AJ big Field all them they all love the anime.
- 12:21Speaker 5: So I was like, dang, this is amazing, Like I'm
- 12:23Speaker 5: with you. Two are kind of just like me, because
- 12:26Speaker 5: in some places you don't see a lot of people
- 12:27Speaker 5: who watch it. So to find people who actually are
- 12:29Speaker 5: interested in it, it's it's pretty cool.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Yeah, Aj, how long have you been watching anime?
- 12:34Speaker 2: I say basically the same thing as Greg. Like I
- 12:37Speaker 2: started when I was real young, Saturday Morning Cartoons dragon
- 12:40Speaker 2: ball Z was on and I'd wake up real early
- 12:44Speaker 2: to watch the two episodes they got of the story,
- 12:46Speaker 2: and then I'd have to wait till next week for
- 12:48Speaker 2: that back. Yeah, two episodes, and that just got me
- 12:52Speaker 2: in it, like right then and there. And I mean
- 12:53Speaker 2: it's such a boys show, like little kids for boys,
- 12:55Speaker 2: Like they're out there screaming and fighting and just drew
- 12:58Speaker 2: me in. And so then from then on I've checked
- 13:01Speaker 2: out other animes and the storylines and character development stuff
- 13:05Speaker 2: like that.
- 13:05Speaker 3: It's just so fun to watch.
- 13:06Speaker 2: That's it's like hard to put down, Like it's hard
- 13:08Speaker 2: to stop binging.
- 13:09Speaker 3: This addicting, Yeah, really addicting.
- 13:11Speaker 5: It's crazy, like you feel like you're you're watching the
- 13:14Speaker 5: anime you really like, whether it's like jiu Jitsu, Kaisen
- 13:16Speaker 5: or Death No, whatever it is, you feel like you're
- 13:18Speaker 5: in that world when you're watching it.
- 13:20Speaker 4: So it's kind of like video games. I feel like
- 13:21Speaker 4: it's kind of like.
- 13:22Speaker 5: You escape from whatever you're doing, whatever you're worried about,
- 13:24Speaker 5: and you can just focus on what you're watching and
- 13:26Speaker 5: what's happening.
- 13:27Speaker 4: And so it's a whole other world.
- 13:28Speaker 1: So it's do you have a favorite anime show?
- 13:32Speaker 3: I like aj Go first.
- 13:34Speaker 2: My favorite of all time is dragon Ball because it's
- 13:36Speaker 2: my favorite I grew up watching it. But there's a
- 13:39Speaker 2: lot of really good new, like new ones that have
- 13:41Speaker 2: come out. I mean still throwing it back to one
- 13:44Speaker 2: of the Big three. Bleach is probably one of my favorites,
- 13:46Speaker 2: but like the new ones like jiu Jitsu and Demon Slayer.
- 13:49Speaker 2: They've taken the world by storm, so it's just it's
- 13:52Speaker 2: kind of cool to see, but it's really fun to watch,
- 13:54Speaker 2: like what they've progressed and like how they've done.
- 13:57Speaker 5: I got a super similar answer to a J dragon
- 14:00Speaker 5: Ball for sure, because that's kind of like one of
- 14:02Speaker 5: those animes that kind of paved the way I feel
- 14:05Speaker 5: like for all the other ones. Kind of it's like
- 14:07Speaker 5: an og it came came out like maybe the eighties
- 14:10Speaker 5: or nineties, eighties, so it's a classic. It's like kind
- 14:14Speaker 5: of I feel like I kind of put anime on
- 14:16Speaker 5: the map more than anything. So got to pay my
- 14:18Speaker 5: respect to DBZ and then like AJSN also love tap
- 14:22Speaker 5: On tight End NTO, I got to get into Bleach.
- 14:25Speaker 5: Everybody's telling me about AGC and telling me about a DQ,
- 14:27Speaker 5: so I gotta get into that. But I mean, we
- 14:30Speaker 5: can go on for days, we can talk about anime
- 14:31Speaker 5: for hours.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Literally.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Do you feel like it's unique to be a part
- 14:35Speaker 1: of a position group that you have multiple guys that
- 14:38Speaker 1: follow and watch anime. Is that happened to you before
- 14:43Speaker 1: with college teams or in high school or is this
- 14:47Speaker 1: something that you have kind of experienced for the first
- 14:50Speaker 1: time coming to the Bills, Aja, I've.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Never had anybody other than my siblings because I watched
- 14:56Speaker 2: them with it, And like the other day, maybe less
- 14:59Speaker 2: than a month ago, we had a watch party at
- 15:00Speaker 2: Greg's because the final episode dropped and we all went
- 15:03Speaker 2: and we had at Greg's sick. You never did that
- 15:07Speaker 2: for an anime in college or high school. Was like
- 15:10Speaker 2: we did it for Game of Thrones and stuff, but
- 15:11Speaker 2: like we didn't do it for like animes twenty minute episodes.
- 15:15Speaker 4: People about that, people going crazy over twenty minutes.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's a lot of fun, is it?
- 15:22Speaker 1: Would you say? The Bills for you, Greg is like
- 15:24Speaker 1: the first place where you've had multiple guys in your
- 15:26Speaker 1: same position.
- 15:27Speaker 3: One hundred percent.
- 15:28Speaker 5: Like in high school, it wasn't really there wasn't really
- 15:30Speaker 5: a lot of people who watched it, and then same
- 15:32Speaker 5: thing in college, nobody watched it for like I would
- 15:36Speaker 5: have been the weird one of us if I was
- 15:37Speaker 5: talking about it. So here like we're all comfortable because
- 15:39Speaker 5: we literally are like a lot of us watching in
- 15:41Speaker 5: the rooms.
- 15:42Speaker 4: So it's pretty cool.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Okay. So that has led to activities outside of the facility,
- 15:46Speaker 1: like watching anime together. What else do you guys do
- 15:50Speaker 1: outside of the facility.
- 15:53Speaker 2: When it's warm out. A lot of the guys like
- 15:55Speaker 2: to get out in golf this time of the year.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Obviously it's kind of restricted, but we have some pretty
- 16:00Speaker 2: golfers on the d line, Big Phil in particular, for
- 16:03Speaker 2: being a big guy. He can freaking smack the ball
- 16:06Speaker 2: and he hits it pretty straight too, but no, like.
- 16:08Speaker 3: It's straight the arrow. It's pretty impressive.
- 16:13Speaker 2: A lot of guys like to play basketball, video games,
- 16:15Speaker 2: stuff like that. I feel like a lot of us
- 16:18Speaker 2: are like, especially in our position. We have a lot
- 16:20Speaker 2: of similarities and I think that's why we kind of
- 16:22Speaker 2: mold together.
- 16:23Speaker 1: So well, yeah, Greg, do you like to golf as well.
- 16:27Speaker 5: I'm not a big offer. Yeah, I'm trying to get
- 16:29Speaker 5: trying to get more into it, but I'm more of
- 16:30Speaker 5: a gamer. And yeah, probably Madden, Madden Call of Duty,
- 16:37Speaker 5: what else, Fall guys, those are all games that we
- 16:40Speaker 5: kind of get on there. We'll play together, like war Zone,
- 16:42Speaker 5: So that's kind of like my number one hobby. I
- 16:44Speaker 5: don't really do too much, especially when it gets called out.
- 16:47Speaker 1: I'm more like, I mean, it's like hibernation.
- 16:49Speaker 2: When UFC has become a big topic for the for
- 16:53Speaker 2: d line. I actually can't believe you forgot about that though.
- 16:55Speaker 4: Right.
- 16:55Speaker 2: UFC we got a belt and everything, like a big
- 16:58Speaker 2: UFC championship belt.
- 17:00Speaker 1: You guys play the video game UFC and then you
- 17:03Speaker 1: have a belt.
- 17:03Speaker 2: That goes around who ever wins. Yeah, like the Champions
- 17:05Speaker 2: of the day or whatever it is, you get the belt.
- 17:08Speaker 1: So do you guys go over to each other's houses
- 17:11Speaker 1: and player? You playing at your own play?
- 17:13Speaker 2: We've we've played here in this building and then we've
- 17:16Speaker 2: played at home online. Yeah, you can play against each
- 17:20Speaker 2: other and all that stuff and talk to each other
- 17:22Speaker 2: and do all that stuff.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Who got everybody in the UFC?
- 17:28Speaker 2: I think we've had a lot of people that play
- 17:31Speaker 2: like I played it a lot, growing I've played Greg
- 17:33Speaker 2: played it a lot, and guys have just kind of
- 17:35Speaker 2: all played it and it just took one of us
- 17:37Speaker 2: to bring the system in.
- 17:38Speaker 3: And just kind of light the fire, light the fire.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Get ready going.
- 17:43Speaker 1: I love that. So it seems like you guys are
- 17:45Speaker 1: similar in what you like to do. You're similar in
- 17:48Speaker 1: how you are on the field. Let's talk about that
- 17:50Speaker 1: a little bit too. You guys do have very similar
- 17:53Speaker 1: makeups in your body. You're tall, you're lanky, you've got
- 17:56Speaker 1: arms that can bat down passes. Then you've done that
- 17:59Speaker 1: seven times this season, both of you. So how have
- 18:03Speaker 1: you guys been able to help each other on the
- 18:06Speaker 1: field throughout the last few seasons.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Just getting to know Greg and like who he is
- 18:12Speaker 2: as a person and as a player, I'm able to
- 18:15Speaker 2: see like what he's what he's done dominantly, what he's
- 18:18Speaker 2: done that's not as dominant, or things that he could
- 18:20Speaker 2: improve on, and to me being a good teammate, you know,
- 18:23Speaker 2: I feel like when I see things that aren't out
- 18:27Speaker 2: of character or things that aren't up to his standard
- 18:30Speaker 2: that I know he keeps himself to like such a
- 18:32Speaker 2: high standard, then I feel like not obligated to say something,
- 18:35Speaker 2: but like like just kind of give him a little
- 18:38Speaker 2: not points and bits because he knows what he's doing,
- 18:40Speaker 2: but like he's doing this and doing that, and then
- 18:43Speaker 2: let him make his own adjustments and stuff like that.
- 18:45Speaker 2: But it's more so like whispers in the ear to
- 18:47Speaker 2: kind of give you yourself an idea rather than kind of
- 18:49Speaker 2: like telling somebody what to do.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Right, what about you, Greg?
- 18:52Speaker 5: I feel like kind of how Aga said, we both
- 18:55Speaker 5: know we could be such great players that have that
- 18:56Speaker 5: standard for ourselves and we look at ourselves as elite,
- 18:59Speaker 5: so and everything we do, we're always trying to push
- 19:02Speaker 5: each other and like like whether or could we could
- 19:04Speaker 5: do this better? We could do that better, and whether
- 19:07Speaker 5: he's doing.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Or I'm doing.
- 19:08Speaker 5: We know we're both trying to get to that mountain
- 19:11Speaker 5: top and be the best rushers that we could be,
- 19:13Speaker 5: in bestketball players we could be. So I feel like
- 19:15Speaker 5: it's that disrespect and then just us just being driven
- 19:17Speaker 5: and knowing that we got to play a best ball
- 19:20Speaker 5: to help the team win. And I feel like that's
- 19:21Speaker 5: what we've been doing. I feel like that's what we're
- 19:23Speaker 5: gonna keep doing.
- 19:23Speaker 1: You guys have both had really productive seasons too, and
- 19:27Speaker 1: I'm sure it's exciting, you know, being not in the
- 19:30Speaker 1: same draft class, but being a year apart from each
- 19:32Speaker 1: other and being close on the team and then also
- 19:35Speaker 1: each going out there and having great seasons. How has
- 19:38Speaker 1: that been just from you guys are our friend's standpoint,
- 19:43Speaker 1: and seeing somebody that you care about go out there
- 19:46Speaker 1: and post good numbers this season? Greg, what has it
- 19:48Speaker 1: been like to see AJ just like shot out of
- 19:52Speaker 1: a cannon?
- 19:52Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 19:53Speaker 5: Yeah, no, No, watching AJ go crazy is being great,
- 19:55Speaker 5: you know because AJ he works at every day obviously
- 19:58Speaker 5: a great person. But you know, like I said, just
- 20:01Speaker 5: having them goals and it's beatings driven and just putting
- 20:03Speaker 5: the work it out there every day, putting the work
- 20:05Speaker 5: in the meeting rooms, is talking about it, talking about
- 20:08Speaker 5: what we're gonna do, how we're gonna do, how we're
- 20:09Speaker 5: gonna have success, and going out there and execute it.
- 20:11Speaker 3: It means everything.
- 20:12Speaker 4: So that's what we do it for.
- 20:14Speaker 5: UH. And it's always a great time whenever we either
- 20:16Speaker 5: of us has that success.
- 20:17Speaker 1: And AJ, why do you think this year is the
- 20:19Speaker 1: year that everything has really come together for you?
- 20:24Speaker 2: I mean, I feel like it's it just falls under
- 20:26Speaker 2: my category of that confidence and swagger, you know, like
- 20:29Speaker 2: just playing with that confidence plan knowing that you're capable
- 20:32Speaker 2: of making plays and uh, and when you do make
- 20:34Speaker 2: those plays, kind of have that swagger about you to
- 20:37Speaker 2: to build that confidence to keep going next play, like
- 20:40Speaker 2: do whatever you gotta do to keep yourself in that
- 20:42Speaker 2: go mode. And that's been kind of something I've been
- 20:45Speaker 2: taking mental notes up for myself and just trying to
- 20:47Speaker 2: hammer on and like maintain.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Where does that confidence and swagger come from? What if
- 20:51Speaker 1: what how do you get it from your teammates? How
- 20:53Speaker 1: do you get it for yourself?
- 20:54Speaker 2: A lot of it, Yes, a lot of it comes
- 20:56Speaker 2: from my teammates and the energy around me as a
- 21:00Speaker 2: person or as a player. I try to not rely
- 21:02Speaker 2: on other people's energy to get me going, and so
- 21:05Speaker 2: a lot of that, I feel like is internal. Just
- 21:07Speaker 2: want to you know, I want to be the best
- 21:09Speaker 2: or I want to be great. So that's really all
- 21:11Speaker 2: it takes.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Speaking of other people's energy, you can look on the
- 21:15Speaker 1: field almost every single game and see Big Phil with
- 21:19Speaker 1: his arms just like hyping up the crowd. It is
- 21:25Speaker 1: so funny watching it, and he is successful at getting
- 21:28Speaker 1: the crowd going when he tries to. What is it
- 21:31Speaker 1: like when you guys turn around and you're like, oh,
- 21:34Speaker 1: he's at it again, Greg, what's that like to watch?
- 21:39Speaker 4: Les?
- 21:39Speaker 5: It's become normal because it's kind of like a standard
- 21:41Speaker 5: for him standing for us. So, I mean, it's great
- 21:44Speaker 5: to see him out there getting the crowd hype. And
- 21:47Speaker 5: he's kind of like one of those like big bros
- 21:49Speaker 5: in our room, so you know, Big Feel's gonna bring it.
- 21:52Speaker 5: He has an edge to him, as everybody knows. I mean,
- 21:55Speaker 5: it's it's awesome having to do like that.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Why is it important, though, to celebrate each other on
- 21:59Speaker 1: the field when things are going good.
- 22:01Speaker 5: I feel like it's important because it shows it shows
- 22:04Speaker 5: that love you got for one another. And I feel
- 22:06Speaker 5: like when you're in it together and you're not focusing
- 22:09Speaker 5: on individual goals, like everything's gonna come so like you're
- 22:12Speaker 5: happy about the other.
- 22:13Speaker 4: Person's success, you're gonna get yours too.
- 22:15Speaker 5: So you just gotta have that mindset of like we
- 22:18Speaker 5: if we get if we make this player and make
- 22:20Speaker 5: this play, like we're all bringing each other up, it's
- 22:23Speaker 5: all positives for the whole entire groups. And then it's
- 22:25Speaker 5: just us taking turns making those plays. Like there's one
- 22:29Speaker 5: game AJ had a sack and I had a sack,
- 22:32Speaker 5: like back to back play, so stuff like that. It's
- 22:34Speaker 5: kind of just us just building each other up and
- 22:36Speaker 5: us just knowing we gotta make us play top the
- 22:38Speaker 5: team win.
- 22:38Speaker 1: That's the D line and then the D line as
- 22:40Speaker 1: a whole. I mean, you guys have been eating this year,
- 22:42Speaker 1: from sacks to quarterback hits to pressures. The numbers have
- 22:46Speaker 1: been some of the best in the NFL and at
- 22:48Speaker 1: times ranked number one, and you continue to do that. AJ,
- 22:52Speaker 1: Why do you think this year this group has just
- 22:54Speaker 1: been on another level.
- 22:56Speaker 2: I mean, I think this group we have they just
- 22:59Speaker 2: are a bunch of one two guys, you know, a
- 23:01Speaker 2: bunch of guys that are like not half two guys
- 23:05Speaker 2: that get to, like I have the opportunity to get
- 23:06Speaker 2: to come into work day and they appreciate being in
- 23:08Speaker 2: this building and they appreciate the relationships that we've all
- 23:11Speaker 2: built with each other, and it makes it really enjoyable
- 23:14Speaker 2: to come into work every day. So having that and
- 23:16Speaker 2: then having just guys around you that are all high
- 23:19Speaker 2: talent guys, you know, that pushes you to try your
- 23:22Speaker 2: best every single day, pushes you to try to be
- 23:24Speaker 2: great or improve on something.
- 23:25Speaker 3: And I think just.
- 23:27Speaker 2: That every guy in our room has that mindset, and
- 23:29Speaker 2: it makes it really easy to go to practice and
- 23:31Speaker 2: really easy to go to work because guys want to
- 23:33Speaker 2: get better and guys want to improve daily.
- 23:36Speaker 1: We got a couple YouTube questions from our YouTube fans.
- 23:40Speaker 1: What's the nickname you guys would make for the defense
- 23:43Speaker 1: as a whole, Got any off the top of your mind?
- 23:46Speaker 3: Defense defense for the overall defense, that'd be.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Funny defensive line If that's easier d line.
- 23:57Speaker 3: We'd be nicknames theyakotsky. It's an.
- 24:10Speaker 1: I was gonna say it has to be something anime.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Explain what is.
- 24:13Speaker 2: That is a group of evil people and they they
- 24:18Speaker 2: just do bad.
- 24:20Speaker 3: And they're in their world.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Yeah, they're in there in their universe that they take
- 24:24Speaker 2: place in. They're just a group of people that cause
- 24:26Speaker 2: problems for everybody.
- 24:28Speaker 1: And you guys do that on the field every single
- 24:30Speaker 1: game to oppose the quarterbacks like that. One more, how
- 24:36Speaker 1: does height affect your game? Uh? The person says, both
- 24:39Speaker 1: of these dudes are giants, and how have you both
- 24:42Speaker 1: learned to stay low on pass rushers? So we'll go
- 24:44Speaker 1: with hype first. How has hype been able to affect
- 24:47Speaker 1: your game?
- 24:48Speaker 4: Oh?
- 24:48Speaker 5: Guy, you see all the time. Let us get our
- 24:50Speaker 5: hands up and like age your head of interception. Uh,
- 24:53Speaker 5: you can get your hands up and cause an interception,
- 24:56Speaker 5: like from one of the linebackers and DB's in the
- 24:58Speaker 5: back end, So that's big to and also just being
- 25:01Speaker 5: able to see see stuff, see stuff, being able to
- 25:04Speaker 5: see over to alignment if you're if you're rushing and
- 25:06Speaker 5: you have the calendar, you can kind of peek over
- 25:08Speaker 5: and do that sometimes.
- 25:09Speaker 4: So I feel like it goes a long way.
- 25:11Speaker 1: It's cheat code being tall. I don't have that cheat code.
- 25:15Speaker 1: I'm not an NFL player. AJ, how have you both
- 25:19Speaker 1: learned to stay low on past rushes? Which is not
- 25:23Speaker 1: something that I want you to do with your heights.
- 25:24Speaker 2: I would say you learn pretty quickly to stay low
- 25:26Speaker 2: on pass rushes because if you don't, then it's not
- 25:30Speaker 2: always very good for you. So I say, at a
- 25:33Speaker 2: young age, you know, you kind of like when you
- 25:35Speaker 2: start football, you're always taught to stay low and it
- 25:38Speaker 2: just kind of I feel like naturally happens, and once
- 25:41Speaker 2: you're conscious about it, I feel like that makes it
- 25:43Speaker 2: a lot easier.
- 25:44Speaker 1: All Right, we're gonna finish off with a game of
- 25:46Speaker 1: how well do you know? Your teammate? Got two questions
- 25:56Speaker 1: for you each. Greg will start with you. What is
- 25:59Speaker 1: a Jay's hidden talent? Is it juggling, skateboarding or playing
- 26:05Speaker 1: the ukulele?
- 26:06Speaker 5: Ukulele, He's a ukulele assassin, can do all those things.
- 26:13Speaker 4: I haven't heard, but locker room.
- 26:16Speaker 3: It's in my apartment.
- 26:18Speaker 1: I feel like that's something you should have in the
- 26:19Speaker 1: locker room.
- 26:20Speaker 2: I'm actually surprised. Yeah, I I've thought about it, but
- 26:24Speaker 2: then I thought against it.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Yeah, it was.
- 26:26Speaker 4: It was.
- 26:27Speaker 2: There's a lot of things going on. I feel like
- 26:28Speaker 2: there's a lot of energy in that locker room, you
- 26:31Speaker 2: know what. A lot of energy in the locker room
- 26:33Speaker 2: and a lot of craziness. I'll leave that at home,
- 26:37Speaker 2: all right, a J.
- 26:39Speaker 1: What is Greg's favorite TV show? Is it The Office?
- 26:43Speaker 1: Walking Dead or New Girl?
- 26:46Speaker 3: It's The Walking Dead?
- 26:50Speaker 2: You still is this still going on?
- 26:52Speaker 4: I think it just ended.
- 26:53Speaker 5: But they got one with Daryl now like his own
- 26:55Speaker 5: spin off.
- 26:56Speaker 3: I haven't checked it out. I loved Daryl. Yeah, they
- 26:58Speaker 3: love Daryl. Well my favorite? Why is he a fan favorite?
- 27:01Speaker 5: Because of the I think this thing is part of
- 27:03Speaker 5: this crossboy cross built thing, but also just like it's
- 27:07Speaker 5: just cool, it's dope.
- 27:09Speaker 2: I only watched season one back when it first came.
- 27:11Speaker 4: He got way cool.
- 27:12Speaker 5: He got a lot cooler than he is in season one.
- 27:14Speaker 5: He's the one he's like, but he's like, he's the dude.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Okay, you guys might have to binge it together.
- 27:20Speaker 2: I might have to get back on and Walking Dead
- 27:22Speaker 2: right now?
- 27:22Speaker 1: Why not? Okay? Greg? What is A J's favorite video game?
- 27:26Speaker 1: That should be easy because we already talked about it.
- 27:29Speaker 1: UFC Fortnite or g T a UFC easy easy too
- 27:35Speaker 1: easy easy, Okay, all right, one more a j What
- 27:39Speaker 1: is one of Greg's favorite hobbies? Is it reading comic books,
- 27:43Speaker 1: collecting Pokemon cards, or painting?
- 27:48Speaker 3: It could be any of those.
- 27:50Speaker 4: That is tough.
- 27:54Speaker 3: It's really common.
- 27:55Speaker 4: It's phrase different because manga is.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Like like mango gave it away, Yeah, gave it away.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Yeah we are.
- 28:05Speaker 5: I can see actually, I can see you paint. I'm
- 28:08Speaker 5: actually gonna start. They got you know, coach is paint
- 28:10Speaker 5: by the numbers sometimes where it's like it's not paint
- 28:12Speaker 5: by the numbers. They got this paint by the numbers
- 28:15Speaker 5: thing where it's like the the picture comes with numbers
- 28:19Speaker 5: on it and then you like you dip the paint
- 28:20Speaker 5: in the number, and the paint has the number in
- 28:23Speaker 5: it too, So it's like if it's two, if t
- 28:25Speaker 5: is red, and it's like red paint with a two
- 28:27Speaker 5: on it, and it's like you could paint the picture
- 28:28Speaker 5: and finishing and they've got some cool stuff.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Oh, like how the total picture ends up. Paint something
- 28:33Speaker 3: like that exactly.
- 28:34Speaker 5: Yeah, you paint all the threes blue, all the fours yellow.
- 28:37Speaker 5: So I'm gonna try it actually make like a window exactly.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Adding painting to hobbies.
- 28:43Speaker 5: Yeah, it's not my favorite yet, but I never tried it.
- 28:47Speaker 3: You know you should add archery. Yeah, you come out with.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Yeah, your free times. I just picked it up because
- 28:56Speaker 1: E does it got me out to a range, It's okay.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Either got me out to your range, and I I
- 29:05Speaker 2: got me a new recurve bo so I'm gonna get
- 29:07Speaker 2: out there and get shooting.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Dang.
- 29:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna be an iguana hunter down.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Wow, that's awesome. Before we finish off, do you want
- 29:17Speaker 1: to tell the people any any holiday gifts? You guys
- 29:20Speaker 1: are getting the defensive line.
- 29:23Speaker 4: Hmmm, I got my gift yet, I haven't needed We can't.
- 29:27Speaker 4: It's secret, and it's.
- 29:27Speaker 3: A secret secret.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Can't you know who you have to buy for? And
- 29:32Speaker 1: then you do an exchange in the locker room. That's awesome.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I'm well, I'll be excited to hear about and see
- 29:39Speaker 1: the gifts because their next level always for the regular
