- 0:14Speaker 2: How how was your bye week? That was great? Went
- 0:17Speaker 2: back home cheered with a family for Halloween. No, great
- 0:20Speaker 2: time did you go.
- 0:22Speaker 1: I know you like to say when you're not playing football,
- 0:24Speaker 1: you like to get near a water.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Did you do anything?
- 0:25Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I definitely got into the wild when it depends,
- 0:28Speaker 3: called the beach, you know, share out there on the
- 0:29Speaker 3: jet skis with my granddad.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Uh it was a great time.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Are you someone that likes to completely unplugged, like get
- 0:34Speaker 1: away from football that you watch?
- 0:36Speaker 3: Yeah? You know football, guys. All we do is come
- 0:40Speaker 3: in here, work on football, watch football, steady football. Everything
- 0:44Speaker 3: is about football when you get here. So you know,
- 0:46Speaker 3: just having that time, you know, relax your mind and reset. Man,
- 0:49Speaker 3: that's a big thing about it.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Uh.
- 0:50Speaker 3: I think all guys needs to get away from football
- 0:53Speaker 3: just for a little bit, you know, just to research
- 0:55Speaker 3: your mind and go back to your your normals.
- 0:57Speaker 2: I get r I get away from it too. I
- 0:59Speaker 2: do it every single Yeah, he write about it. I
- 1:01Speaker 2: watch it.
- 1:03Speaker 1: You mentioned to me a couple of weeks ago that
- 1:05Speaker 1: someone the best advice somebody gave you was keep your head.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Down and keep working facts. Who was that person? Uh?
- 1:10Speaker 3: My older brother Fish. Actually, you know, ever since we
- 1:12Speaker 3: was little. Uh, you know, I've real I really wasn't
- 1:15Speaker 3: the biggest guy. I would always underestimate him things like that.
- 1:18Speaker 3: But having the big brother like Fish, he always made
- 1:20Speaker 3: sure that he kept a good word.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Then for me, I.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Always made sure I was critique critiquing me on good
- 1:27Speaker 3: things in the bathroom.
- 1:28Speaker 2: So, you know, just seeing him grow.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Up and just watching him go about his daily life
- 1:33Speaker 3: and really put uh, I would say, impacted me a lot.
- 1:36Speaker 1: What were your impressions of Lambou Field, the legendary Lambo Field? Uh?
- 1:40Speaker 2: It was great man.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Uh, real history down there. It's a lot of history.
- 1:44Speaker 3: So you know, vioument was great, the crowd was great,
- 1:47Speaker 3: and we got to do it. That's the most important thing.
- 1:49Speaker 3: So happy about that.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Could he get a chance to you know, walk out
- 1:52Speaker 1: there on the field and see a lot of the
- 1:54Speaker 1: lot of the stuff that they have going on.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Uh, you know all the the you know the names
- 1:58Speaker 2: and the things like that in the history. No, actually,
- 2:00Speaker 2: I wasn't able to. I ain't gonna lie.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Once I got in the locker room and I went outside,
- 2:05Speaker 3: it was so cold out there. I had went back
- 2:07Speaker 3: inside and I had to return on myself, try to
- 2:09Speaker 3: get myself together, get my mind.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Right, and you know, just to go back out there.
- 2:13Speaker 1: So I know you're obviously someone who played in heat,
- 2:15Speaker 1: so you know how to handle that. Yeah, what's your
- 2:17Speaker 1: method to handling that kind of cold and the wind,
- 2:20Speaker 1: that kind.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Of it's probably it's it's for me. It's my mindset.
- 2:24Speaker 2: You know, if you got a good mindset.
- 2:25Speaker 3: You gonna go out there and it don't matter if
- 2:27Speaker 3: it's rain, seat, snow, hot, cold, it don't matter.
- 2:30Speaker 2: You gonna go out there and play and do it
- 2:32Speaker 2: do its best.
- 2:33Speaker 1: But yeah, in practice, are you still cross training outside
- 2:39Speaker 1: or are you still focusing more inside now?
- 2:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm still focusing a little bit on more inside.
- 2:43Speaker 1: How do you feel it's going for you?
- 2:44Speaker 2: I don't feel like it's going good. You know, I
- 2:47Speaker 2: still got a lot or I still got a long
- 2:49Speaker 2: way to go. You know.
- 2:50Speaker 3: It's just a stepping stone for me right now, and
- 2:51Speaker 3: I'm I'm just trying to build every day.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I know. Uh, Dare wasn't here very long. Yeah, what
- 2:56Speaker 2: was uh what were your interactions to him? I did you?
- 2:58Speaker 1: Was he somebody that you watched kind of coming up?
- 3:01Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah, always Uh he's a great corner back.
- 3:03Speaker 3: He's gonna go down one of the best cornerbacks you
- 3:05Speaker 3: know to ever play the game. Or when he came in, Uh,
- 3:09Speaker 3: very excited for him, you know, Uh seeing a idle
- 3:11Speaker 3: like that. You know, when he came in we met
- 3:15Speaker 3: first day, uh and we clicked, you know, just me
- 3:18Speaker 3: telling him the things that I liked about his game,
- 3:20Speaker 3: and you know, he's just giving me the insize and
- 3:24Speaker 3: out of playing cornerback.
- 3:25Speaker 2: And you know it was a great time. Uh.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Whatever he does, even if he if he if he
- 3:30Speaker 3: don't decide to play an it no more or he
- 3:32Speaker 3: do decide to play, I'm off for him.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Uh.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I know he wasn't here long. But what's the the
- 3:35Speaker 1: biggest thing that he taught you that just in that
- 3:37Speaker 1: short time, Just being yourself.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Man, he come in here, he gonna be yourself every
- 3:42Speaker 3: day when he go out on the field, he gonna
- 3:44Speaker 3: give you the best. Uh.
- 3:45Speaker 2: He gonna talk trash, he gonna do whatever whatever needs
- 3:48Speaker 2: So just staying confident and believe in yourself, not counting
- 3:52Speaker 2: the link.
- 3:53Speaker 1: What's your favorite stadium that you've ever played?
- 3:57Speaker 2: I probably say in the Bounce House.
- 4:00Speaker 1: The Bounce House, talk talk to me about that.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Yeah, it's crazy, man, it ain't gonna lie. Uh, especially
- 4:05Speaker 3: like once you get up sold our crowd. Uh, you
- 4:07Speaker 3: a actually feel the stadium shaking, like if you go in,
- 4:10Speaker 3: like when when we got a little tunnel things that
- 4:12Speaker 3: we had before we run out, so another tunnel, you
- 4:15Speaker 3: can like the stadiums right there, so you can hear
- 4:17Speaker 3: the student section they.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Jumping and you can feel the whole ground move.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Now that you have the extended pause with the byeway,
- 4:23Speaker 1: what perspective do you have on the first half of
- 4:25Speaker 1: your rookie season.
- 4:26Speaker 2: With the.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Perspective I have, I really just I'll just say maintaining
- 4:32Speaker 3: you know, it was a long, long season. You know,
- 4:35Speaker 3: it's different from college now that I see, we literally
- 4:38Speaker 3: just starting our real season out until so I'm just
- 4:43Speaker 3: I'm just taking everything again, man, day by day.
- 4:45Speaker 2: And just going with the flow.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Will that leads to my next question, what's the biggest
- 4:48Speaker 1: difference from the college game to this point in your
- 4:51Speaker 1: you know, your pro creu.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Uh, the length the length of the season.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Uh, definitely, Uh, you know right now you'll be seeing
- 4:58Speaker 3: guys going to the college football player some guys not
- 5:00Speaker 3: playing no more after a few weeks and then was
- 5:02Speaker 3: you know, football is just getting started.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Ha, how have you sort of prepared yourself for that longevity,
- 5:07Speaker 1: that marathon of the season.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Uh, I'll just say, making sure I'm critiquing myself in
- 5:12Speaker 3: in and out the field, you know, coming in and train,
- 5:14Speaker 3: the room, make sure I get my body right, make
- 5:16Speaker 3: sure I get a proper.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Sleep, you know, doing the necessary.
- 5:18Speaker 1: You talk to me before about you focusing on getting
- 5:21Speaker 1: your mental right.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yeah, but how do you go about doing that?
- 5:24Speaker 3: It's just an everyday thing, you know, reading, you know,
- 5:28Speaker 3: listening to other guys, you know, taking stories in and
- 5:31Speaker 3: you know, just trying to critique their stories and try
- 5:33Speaker 3: to apply them a little bit two months.
- 5:35Speaker 2: It's a bit of a heavy subject.
- 5:37Speaker 1: But you know, obviously there's some news that came out
- 5:39Speaker 1: Dallas last week. Is there an outlet, like is that
- 5:44Speaker 1: something that you're a proponent of mental health and.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Sort of being a proponent for that.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I like, is that something that I guess you
- 5:51Speaker 1: have a uh an area, an outlet here in Philadelphia
- 5:55Speaker 1: that that really supports anyone who's dealing with that.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely.
- 6:00Speaker 3: I feel like your mental health is one of the
- 6:02Speaker 3: biggest things that you need in this life home as
- 6:07Speaker 3: sorry for the guy that lost his life to you know,
- 6:09Speaker 3: to what happened. And I don't wish that on nobody,
- 6:12Speaker 3: but uh, you know, you just gotta have the right
- 6:14Speaker 3: mindset you need. You gotta talk to people, you know everything.
- 6:17Speaker 3: You can't hold everything inside or yourself. You can't, you know,
- 6:20Speaker 3: say the things in your head that's that's that's bad,
- 6:23Speaker 3: or you know, you gotta give it out. You gotta
- 6:25Speaker 3: talk to somebody, you know, that's always people here around you.
- 6:28Speaker 2: I'm glad. That's why I'm glad.
- 6:29Speaker 3: I can't to feel it because there's a lot of
- 6:30Speaker 3: great people here that's going to help you and you know,

- 8:01Speaker 2: one nine to five in my life. Wow.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Okay, So we've talked about CP and the impact that
- 8:06Speaker 1: he's had on you, but we don't talk enough about
- 8:07Speaker 1: Roy Anderson.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Yeah. Roy Anderson is a great guy. Definitely. How has
- 8:11Speaker 2: he helped your game.
- 8:11Speaker 3: He used to help me a lot. Coach rutt I.
- 8:14Speaker 3: I still come in with Coach Rhett at six in
- 8:16Speaker 3: the morning. Every day we come in and meet. I
- 8:18Speaker 3: would't say sixth three, I would say six thirty. We
- 8:20Speaker 3: come in at six thirty every day. You know, we're
- 8:23Speaker 3: making sure that we go over the plays I had
- 8:25Speaker 3: and practice and things like that. And he critiqued me,
- 8:28Speaker 3: like I say, just like CP. He critiqued me on
- 8:30Speaker 3: the things that I need to get done and the
- 8:32Speaker 3: things that you know can make can help me improve
- 8:34Speaker 3: my game.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I think I had a really really good conversation with Roy.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Actually it was like the day before the Super Bowl.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Yeah, and just you know, a wealth of knowledge if
- 8:43Speaker 1: I enjoy that conversation. Last one for you, what's one
- 8:46Speaker 1: thing you're focusing.
- 8:47Speaker 2: On, particularly this week as you look towards some day.
- 8:52Speaker 2: That's the same old thing. You know. I'm gonna be
- 8:54Speaker 2: the same guy.
- 8:55Speaker 3: I'm gonna focus on keeping my mental health and keeping
- 8:58Speaker 3: you know, keeping the guys up. You know, got a
- 9:00Speaker 3: big game coming in and we got sort coming in,
- 9:03Speaker 3: so you know, we just focusing on little things and
- 9:05Speaker 3: critiquing ourselves ups and downs.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Thanks
