- 0:05Speaker 1: Drama, Darling Drama, Darling Drama, Darling.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Hello, welcome in day after Halloween Darlings. Wow, I hope
- 0:24Speaker 2: you had a great one, Emily Deresis and I are
- 0:27Speaker 2: here to break down that as well as the finale
- 0:30Speaker 2: of Orange County. Welcome in, Emily.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Thank you Amy one in all, and please keep sending
- 0:38Speaker 3: us your awesome costumes and your pet costumes.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Oh my god, you guys have out done your yelf.
- 0:45Speaker 2: These are amazing and I have to say that it's
- 0:48Speaker 2: really a lot of pet costumes this year, which I
- 0:51Speaker 2: enjoy seeing that the darlings are just pet lovers as
- 0:55Speaker 2: we all would believe them to be. Yeah, we are
- 0:58Speaker 2: waiting on one yes, Grayson Grayson, the Bisho graphic artist
- 1:05Speaker 2: Mike Ceceri and his dog Grayson, who he dresses up
- 1:09Speaker 2: every year. We're waiting with baited breath, Mike, and we will.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I will be sending you a text later on this
- 1:16Speaker 2: afternoon just to check in to see that we're waiting
- 1:20Speaker 2: to welcome you into the Halloween costume carousel that Emily
- 1:25Speaker 2: will be putting together over the weekend.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Ha Resound have Asu Cara cell Caracell.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Week in bakeoff, we had a great time on our
- 1:39Speaker 2: Halloween trick or treat Maddie was read from Descendants, and
- 1:44Speaker 2: we actually did not trick or treat in our neighborhood
- 1:46Speaker 2: for the first time. We've trick or treated here for
- 1:49Speaker 2: the last three years since we've lived here, and just
- 1:51Speaker 2: absolutely love it.
- 1:52Speaker 3: But as it turns, not enough but just not enough,
- 1:55Speaker 3: just not enough, just.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Never never enough. But yeah, she has like a you know,
- 2:01Speaker 2: a group of kids that she wanted to go trigger
- 2:03Speaker 2: treating with. Then we wanted to go to try that
- 2:06Speaker 2: in another neighborhood, so that's what we did. It was
- 2:08Speaker 2: so fun. Here is Maddie as read from Descendants, and
- 2:13Speaker 2: she's got.
- 2:13Speaker 3: A great that's a great costume.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Yes the wig is yes, level right.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Great makeup? What was the big costume? Like, were there
- 2:23Speaker 3: multiple of something?
- 2:25Speaker 2: Okay, let me think.
- 2:27Speaker 3: So it's just a sea of Elsa's I did. I
- 2:30Speaker 3: think for kindergarten and maybe even first grade, and then
- 2:34Speaker 3: after that everybody starts to like take in different yeah,
- 2:39Speaker 3: ie Leys.
- 2:40Speaker 2: There were yeah, a lot of Taylor Swifts. I saw
- 2:43Speaker 2: some Mermaids. I saw Wednesday. Wednesday was a big one.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Oh nice, Yeah, I saw a lot of Wednesday.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Yes, and it's such a great family costume, you know,
- 2:52Speaker 2: because the parents can be the two and oh god,
- 2:55Speaker 2: there was the cutest little girl. She was probably about
- 2:58Speaker 2: two and a half. Maybe that was Wednesday trick or
- 3:01Speaker 2: treating and I mean with the wig and everything, and
- 3:04Speaker 2: she was just like toddling along. I almost died, like
- 3:08Speaker 2: that's what it's all about. All right, Well, this is great.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I cannot believe that it is actually the finale of
- 3:16Speaker 2: Orange County. So welcome in.
- 3:17Speaker 4: No, welcome in?
- 3:19Speaker 3: And can I say something? Yeah you do this? Yeah, darlings.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Does one of you work for the New York Times Connections?
- 3:26Speaker 3: Oh right, because yesterday if you play Connections, I'm not
- 3:30Speaker 3: spoiling today Friday. But on Thursday. I think we have
- 3:35Speaker 3: an Amy Phillips fan over there because there was you know,
- 3:39Speaker 3: on the Connections there's a grid of things that you
- 3:41Speaker 3: need to figure out how it connects. And two of
- 3:44Speaker 3: the items one was Flutter and the other was Darling.
- 3:49Speaker 3: I about lost my damn mind.
- 3:51Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Yeah, so I know you're out there.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah, so thank you for the shout out, Thank you
- 3:57Speaker 2: for the shout out. We see you, yeah, we see you,
- 4:00Speaker 2: and thank you for seeing us.
- 4:02Speaker 3: I mean to go like.
- 4:03Speaker 2: It is really the evolution of my radio podcast Journey
- 4:10Speaker 2: encapsulated in a New York Times game. I'm just so honored.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Yeah, and they did it for you, and I know
- 4:17Speaker 3: that they did and there's no denying it.
- 4:19Speaker 2: I'm gonna post it today. We should post it on
- 4:22Speaker 2: the drama Darling.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it will treat it as a costume
- 4:27Speaker 3: when the Connection's dressed up as Amy Phillips. Oh.
- 4:32Speaker 2: The last thing I will say also about Halloween is
- 4:35Speaker 2: that I didn't watch the whole watch What Happens Live
- 4:37Speaker 2: episode last night, the Halloween episode, but I want to
- 4:40Speaker 2: mention that Povit dressed as Dory and that was really
- 4:44Speaker 2: nice of him. He was on the show dressed as
- 4:48Speaker 2: Dory along with the other contestants.
- 4:51Speaker 3: That's hilarious. I know, he's so funny.
- 4:54Speaker 5: Good for him, right, yeah, yes, for sure, Oka, Right,
- 4:59Speaker 5: let's get it.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Oh, Orange County, duh. Wow, this really took a turn,
- 5:04Speaker 2: And honestly, we were all so kind of like jazzed
- 5:06Speaker 2: up about knowing that they shut down like the end
- 5:10Speaker 2: of the season at Jen's engagement party. Then we got
- 5:13Speaker 2: news of Ryan's scandal and that they picked up cameras
- 5:16Speaker 2: that's what we heard, and sure enough they did, and
- 5:19Speaker 2: they gave us three and a half minutes, which is fine,
- 5:23Speaker 2: but I just I expected it to be another episode
- 5:27Speaker 2: at least or something like that.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I totally did. I thought like, yeah, don't. I
- 5:33Speaker 3: was kind of like, don't worry, this isn't the last one.
- 5:36Speaker 3: I know what's coming. And then I was like, oh shit,
- 5:38Speaker 3: Well I.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Saw Tamera's post. She was like sixth and finale tonight,
- 5:42Speaker 2: and I was like what. Honestly, you guys, I just
- 5:45Speaker 2: it sneaks up on me. I'm really bad about this.
- 5:47Speaker 2: I'm really bad about, you know, having a handle on
- 5:51Speaker 2: when a show begins. I mean obviously when they promote it,
- 5:54Speaker 2: I know, but when a show is coming to an end,
- 5:57Speaker 2: how many episodes we're getting, and like, it just sneaks
- 6:00Speaker 2: up on me because I'm so in it, I'm in
- 6:02Speaker 2: the moment, and it's just disappointing. Orange County flew by
- 6:06Speaker 2: this season. I remember putting it on my calendar and
- 6:08Speaker 2: being like, oh, this is going to take us all
- 6:09Speaker 2: the way into November, which it will because the now
- 6:13Speaker 2: we're going to have probably three reunions. But still it's crazy.
- 6:17Speaker 3: I know, especially when I think about, like, Wow, Dubai
- 6:20Speaker 3: this past season lasted four years.
- 6:23Speaker 2: And yeah, it was like a long summer and Dubai
- 6:27Speaker 2: was right along with us Drip. Yeah yeah, but it
- 6:34Speaker 2: just goes to show that means you're having a good
- 6:35Speaker 2: season if it's flying by. Yeah.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Yeah, And I feel that way. I feel like Utah
- 6:42Speaker 3: Salt Lake City. I always call it Utah, but I
- 6:44Speaker 3: do feel like Salt Lake City is operating at the
- 6:48Speaker 3: same speed and it's going too fast.
- 6:51Speaker 2: It is it always happens like that. I feel like
- 6:55Speaker 2: some of these incredible faster running shows should be during
- 6:59Speaker 2: the summer.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, give us one, Yeah.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Just one, Like you got to replace Dubai with something else,
- 7:07Speaker 2: and don't put in New York there, you know, like.
- 7:11Speaker 3: True balances out.
- 7:13Speaker 2: You can have like a sleeper season like a Dubai
- 7:17Speaker 2: or a New York and couple it up with like
- 7:18Speaker 2: an Orange County, a Salt Lake City or a Beverly
- 7:21Speaker 2: Hills so that they're not all crossing over each other.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Yeah, great point. Or even like give us the valley
- 7:28Speaker 3: in the summer, like give us two bangers and a
- 7:30Speaker 3: slow because it makes the slow better.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Absolutely, because it's more of like a Okay, different pace.
- 7:37Speaker 2: I need y respite.
- 7:39Speaker 3: It's probably why I am enjoying New York this season,
- 7:42Speaker 3: because it's in between the Salt Lake and OC.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not chaotic at all. If it was just
- 7:50Speaker 2: running alone, we'd be so passed. Yeah, Tamera saw my
- 7:56Speaker 2: post and was like, I'm dying. This is so funny,
- 7:59Speaker 2: like assume yesterday.
- 8:02Speaker 3: That's great. I like that she has a good sense
- 8:05Speaker 3: of humor. Yeah for sure. Yeah.
- 8:08Speaker 2: So for the third time, we welcome you into Worn
- 8:11Speaker 2: County recap. But duh, Jen, you know, pops into the
- 8:16Speaker 2: beginning of this episode and it's just like I'm engaged
- 8:19Speaker 2: to a felon, you know. And then we see this
- 8:23Speaker 2: huge emerald cut diamond ring certainly synthetic, certainly you know
- 8:30Speaker 2: not Look what am I do?
- 8:32Speaker 3: You know where I stand? You know where I stand
- 8:33Speaker 3: on the synthetic diamond? Yeah? What it's good?
- 8:36Speaker 2: No, I know, I know, I agree.
- 8:37Speaker 3: I agree.
- 8:38Speaker 2: I'm just saying, like, you know, it's not real. Okay,
- 8:42Speaker 2: it's real. It's real. It's totally real, allegedly.
- 8:46Speaker 3: But I love that. Shannon's like, you won, you proved
- 8:50Speaker 3: everybody wrong.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Oh my god, you're so right. That is so funny,
- 8:55Speaker 2: and then the whole episode ends with like her in tears,
- 8:58Speaker 2: like I feel like I've fucked up my whole life.
- 9:03Speaker 2: That is so funny, but like also.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Like it's so old school for Shannon to be like,
- 9:09Speaker 3: this is the finish line engagement.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Yes, oh man.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Nothing else matters his record, his.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Lies, And would she say the same thing about that
- 9:22Speaker 2: when Alexis gets engaged, you prove them wrong. He must
- 9:26Speaker 2: be a good man. You know, you're so right.
- 9:29Speaker 3: I didn't even think about that.
- 9:30Speaker 5: Of course, And they're what, wait, what he were ax throwing? Yeah,
- 9:37Speaker 5: but it's uh, whoop it up or something. I was like,
- 9:41Speaker 5: is this Vicky's X club because it's called like like
- 9:45Speaker 5: an axe whooping or something. They're like, oh wow, But
- 9:48Speaker 5: I was like, I I see you.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Name a business whoop in oc? I know you know Vicky,
- 9:55Speaker 3: you know, and you know what you do?
- 9:57Speaker 2: Why she didn't show we know what you're doing.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Then we go over to Tarra's house with Alexus, and god,
- 10:07Speaker 2: I really hate a bad joke, I really do. How
- 10:10Speaker 2: she comes in and she's just like Clorox wipes, and
- 10:14Speaker 2: then Tarma's like, I don't get it. You know, She's
- 10:16Speaker 2: like for all the ship that we have to clean up.
- 10:19Speaker 2: And I'm like, sink that joke to the bottom of
- 10:24Speaker 2: the ocean. And that's awesome.
- 10:26Speaker 3: So when she's like thinking that she's going to make
- 10:30Speaker 3: bring the pudding a thing, I feel like, bring the pudding,
- 10:35Speaker 3: Bring the pudding, like gross.
- 10:40Speaker 2: The shot, the camera shot was a long shot. They
- 10:43Speaker 2: were like slowly moving away there, like she thinks she's
- 10:46Speaker 2: got something here.
- 10:48Speaker 3: We've allreat copy, we're gonna bring them, We're bringing the pudding.
- 10:51Speaker 3: We got it, we're packing up.
- 10:52Speaker 2: We're leaving, and you're bringing the pudding.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Whatever did you see in that flashback too, when they're
- 11:00Speaker 3: walking someplace and Alexis is dressed like my little pony.
- 11:05Speaker 3: She's got like a sash and white boots and whatever,
- 11:07Speaker 3: and then like she's fully leading with her ponytail when
- 11:12Speaker 3: she talks. It's like a high pony and she's like
- 11:14Speaker 3: leading with it when she talks, like calm down, cott
- 11:21Speaker 3: in Candy.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Just to put some respect on the my little pony, uh,
- 11:28Speaker 2: you know, franchise. You know, I still am laughing at
- 11:33Speaker 2: the joke, you know, but I also never want to
- 11:36Speaker 2: hear those two words her name. And because I'm so
- 11:39Speaker 2: I love the MLP. I'm all about it.
- 11:43Speaker 3: But you're, by god, you are you love the Bronies.
- 11:47Speaker 2: I don't do Bronie's. I can't do the Bronies.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Well, maybe Johnny J is a Bronie. He's hanging out
- 11:55Speaker 3: if he's if he's hanging out the Lexus Johnny J.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Johnny J. Loves my little Pony, and that's our sex game.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I have to say it quietly because Maddie's home today.
- 12:08Speaker 2: She made Mammy, I heard you talking about my little pony.
- 12:10Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, what's a sex game?
- 12:15Speaker 2: Oh God, and Lord Helmet, so yeah, I did see that,
- 12:20Speaker 2: and you are dead on right. And then we get
- 12:24Speaker 2: like this nasty little confessional which is Johnny J and Alexis,
- 12:29Speaker 2: and he's like, I have never been more sure of
- 12:33Speaker 2: anything in my life. We will be together forever until
- 12:43Speaker 2: the end of time. I have died, I'm already dead,
- 12:48Speaker 2: and I am a vampire, and she's gonna be with
- 12:51Speaker 2: me for the next eight hundred years.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Got him saying the same thing as to Shannon. Yes, yeah, like,
- 13:00Speaker 3: do you not understand that you've been filmed saying this
- 13:04Speaker 3: and we've all seen it and they don't delete it,
- 13:07Speaker 3: and we don't forget it, and now you're gonna just
- 13:10Speaker 3: we're going to have a montage of you saying that
- 13:13Speaker 3: by the time you start dating Joe, we're going to
- 13:16Speaker 3: have a montage.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Oh yes, ma'am Joe Dela Rosa, Welcome, Welcome in, Joe
- 13:22Speaker 2: de la Rosa, Welcome in, Welcome back, welcome in. Just wow,
- 13:27Speaker 2: I yeah, I love that.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Like I know I'm skipping ahead, but everybody's so happy
- 13:34Speaker 3: to see Joe.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Yeah, that was nice.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Like Vicky like it was like it was cool.
- 13:40Speaker 2: It was very cool. Yeah, to find out that she
- 13:43Speaker 2: actually has a connection to the man that's facing up
- 13:46Speaker 2: to eighteen years in prison.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Matt Matt Royer Broni Bronie. Matt Bronie allegedly.
- 13:57Speaker 2: That she like ran in to him I guess at
- 14:01Speaker 2: this party and was like, oh, yeah, we know each other.
- 14:04Speaker 2: And then I don't think that Ryan will remember me.
- 14:07Speaker 2: And then seeing Ryan again and knowing that Joe worked
- 14:11Speaker 2: for Ryan all those years ago, Yeah, this is.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Like next twenty years ago.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Yeah, oh, next level oc when she was probably either
- 14:23Speaker 2: all had just finished working at that place with him
- 14:26Speaker 2: because Slade had her be a housewife, right, she was
- 14:30Speaker 2: gonna she was just home alone in the house.
- 14:32Speaker 3: That is right. So what's been the last job she
- 14:35Speaker 3: had right before Housewives? Yeah? Yeah, I mean yeah, because
- 14:43Speaker 3: it would have been two thousand and four, so maybe
- 14:47Speaker 3: she did one other.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Job, maybe one another Yeah, a maid, remember she was
- 14:53Speaker 2: the maid was Slade at home? So gross, Like I
- 14:56Speaker 2: can't go back and watch that, ecciuse me? Yeah, yeah, okay, yeah.
- 15:03Speaker 2: So Alexis is gonna throw jen a an engagement party
- 15:08Speaker 2: with the Bridesmaid's theme, and Tamra says that.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Dorky bridesmaid dresses?
- 15:19Speaker 2: Do you want to hear the theme?
- 15:25Speaker 4: Everybody's gonna dress in the theme except for me because
- 15:28Speaker 4: I don't even know my own I don't even understand
- 15:29Speaker 4: my own theme.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Yeah, the and I gotta say I was like, oh,
- 15:43Speaker 3: that is kind of a fun theme.
- 15:45Speaker 2: I loved it.
- 15:46Speaker 3: I loved it.
- 15:47Speaker 2: I mean, it would be original. It would have been
- 15:50Speaker 2: way more original if Bridesmaids hadn't been a movie. Like
- 15:53Speaker 2: if you've done but you're just copying Bridesmaids essentially in
- 15:56Speaker 2: a way. I mean I feel like whatever, yeah, but
- 16:00Speaker 2: it's fine, it's still fine. It's still fine. But like,
- 16:03Speaker 2: here we are, and if nothing else proves to anyone
- 16:08Speaker 2: else that, not that there's anybody on team Alexis, but
- 16:10Speaker 2: if you are her showing up to her own party
- 16:14Speaker 2: with her own theme and not dressing in the theme
- 16:16Speaker 2: and not realizing that she's in the theme should tell
- 16:20Speaker 2: you everything you know to know about Alexis. She doesn't
- 16:23Speaker 2: get it, she doesn't understand, and she never will.
- 16:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it's almost like insulting to the viewer that she
- 16:34Speaker 3: thought that this was tacky, because I was, like, I
- 16:37Speaker 3: would wear that currently.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Like what do you understand her thinking?
- 16:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't get it.
- 16:43Speaker 2: She knows what a tacky bridesmaid's dress is and yet
- 16:47Speaker 2: she chose not to wear it. Yeah, okay, that was
- 16:51Speaker 2: a style back like it could have been like a
- 16:53Speaker 2: one shoulder. I get it that that was probably the
- 16:56Speaker 2: most conservative version of what could have been back then,
- 17:01Speaker 2: but it is nowhere near the theme of what you
- 17:03Speaker 2: are explaining to people. Yeah, it's making me irate right now.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Well yeah, only because it's I mean I think Emily
- 17:12Speaker 3: said it or somebody said it. But it is like
- 17:15Speaker 3: she like she's so bright, like Tackie BRIT's made other times,
- 17:22Speaker 3: and this is like inverted, like she kind of dressed
- 17:26Speaker 3: like she dressed appropriately like for an event to.
- 17:30Speaker 5: This funny, but like her normal look is very like
- 17:36Speaker 5: out there two thousand and five.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Yeah, majesty pony. And now I think like this, I
- 17:43Speaker 3: don't know. I was like i'd wear that. I'd wear
- 17:45Speaker 3: that to a Christmas party this year, you know what
- 17:47Speaker 3: I mean. I was invited anyway.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Well, maybe you'll be welcomed, inn you you never know
- 18:01Speaker 2: what you do is going to have hurdles.
- 18:03Speaker 3: That's true.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Now we have like a kind of a nice montage
- 18:10Speaker 2: wrapping up all the kids of the for the most part,
- 18:13Speaker 2: all the kids of the Orange County Ladies. Yes, that
- 18:19Speaker 2: whose stories we've been following all season. So it's like, yes,
- 18:22Speaker 2: Jen and her Son they're cool. He's thinking about the military,
- 18:27Speaker 2: you know, he's in. He doesn't want to go to
- 18:29Speaker 2: like do regular things in life, like the regular path.
- 18:32Speaker 2: She's fine with that. And then you go to Heather
- 18:35Speaker 2: and her son and it's like college, real estate license sold,
- 18:39Speaker 2: your first home, going abroad. It's like so unattainable for
- 18:42Speaker 2: regular people. This is so funny.
- 18:46Speaker 3: And Heather's listing it off and I'm like, we get it, Yeah,
- 18:52Speaker 3: we get it, we get you get it. We welcome
- 18:54Speaker 3: out you've done.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Great, so and then it was nice to hear him
- 19:03Speaker 2: say you've given me such an amazing life. I will
- 19:05Speaker 2: say that that was really sweet. And he seems very grounded.
- 19:09Speaker 2: He seems like a good kid. He doesn't seem arrogant,
- 19:12Speaker 2: and he's working hard, so I don't want to take
- 19:16Speaker 2: that away from him. And it's very impressive. It's just
- 19:18Speaker 2: the way that it's presented to us. And that's what
- 19:20Speaker 2: we're saying.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Right, because it feels presentational, right, literally being presented right. Yeah,
- 19:29Speaker 3: I feel that he when he was like, thank you
- 19:33Speaker 3: for doing this, I was like, at least he gets it,
- 19:36Speaker 3: and he's not like I did all this myself, you
- 19:40Speaker 3: know what I mean, like and yeah, I did it
- 19:42Speaker 3: all myself, or like it is really good that they've
- 19:46Speaker 3: raised kids that appreciate that they've worked. Heather and Terry
- 19:51Speaker 3: worked very hard and now they respect that. And yeah, yeah,
- 19:57Speaker 3: are following him that path I did. I I did appreciate.
- 20:01Speaker 2: That absolutely, So yeah, hats off to him. And then
- 20:05Speaker 2: Tamar and Sophia and she's got her music, and then
- 20:09Speaker 2: Katie and Callie and she has her name change that
- 20:12Speaker 2: arrived officially, which was really sweet.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:15Speaker 2: So I want to break this down, like the next
- 20:20Speaker 2: thing I want to talk about before we get to
- 20:22Speaker 2: the engagement party and all that I just want to discuss. Actually,
- 20:26Speaker 2: I think some of us does happen at the engagement party.
- 20:29Speaker 2: I apologize. I want to talk about Callie and Emily's
- 20:33Speaker 2: boys and that whole scene right there, and like discussing
- 20:36Speaker 2: get that out of the way before we do the rest,
- 20:38Speaker 2: because it seems very tricky in this situation to have
- 20:44Speaker 2: the kids involved and have this storyline of who's telling
- 20:47Speaker 2: the truth, and I find it very uncomfortable to watch
- 20:51Speaker 2: because I don't want to pick a side with the kids.
- 20:54Speaker 3: You know.
- 20:56Speaker 2: However, I do have an opinion and I'm going to
- 20:59Speaker 2: share it, and that is this when Heather approaches Katie
- 21:05Speaker 2: at the party and is like, my boys are nine,
- 21:07Speaker 2: they have no idea who Heather is. Okay, I'm not
- 21:12Speaker 2: one hundred percent sure about that, Okay, so agree, all right.
- 21:16Speaker 2: It's it's just that, like she's been on this show
- 21:18Speaker 2: for a long time, There's there's probably no way that
- 21:23Speaker 2: her kids have not heard the name Heather before in
- 21:28Speaker 2: whatever context. But I will say that I think that
- 21:31Speaker 2: Emily and Shane clearly are doing a very they're making
- 21:36Speaker 2: a specific choice to make sure that they're not involved
- 21:39Speaker 2: to hear anything on purpose, that they don't do anything
- 21:43Speaker 2: that exposes them to the drama that's going on deliberately.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Accidents happen though, where you might be talking about something
- 21:51Speaker 2: and they may have heard something and Emily's just not
- 21:54Speaker 2: aware of that. So that's where I'm going to give
- 21:56Speaker 2: it to. There's a possibility that the boy may have
- 22:01Speaker 2: said something, but there's no way for us to ever know.
- 22:04Speaker 2: And on the flip side, I don't think nine year
- 22:07Speaker 2: old boys are going to lie about that. I think
- 22:11Speaker 2: that they're going to be more apt to tell the
- 22:14Speaker 2: truth over a twenty year old And that's where I'm
- 22:16Speaker 2: going to land. Also, seeing how messy Katie is with
- 22:21Speaker 2: this and how how flippant she is to discuss these
- 22:25Speaker 2: things in front of her kids and her young child
- 22:28Speaker 2: when he says is Heather being a jerk again for
- 22:31Speaker 2: the millionth time, it's very clear to me that it's
- 22:34Speaker 2: Katie that seems like the problem here, and therefore Callie
- 22:39Speaker 2: is probably the one that led the kids down that path,
- 22:42Speaker 2: And that's where I'm landing.
- 22:43Speaker 3: So, Okay, I'm going to agree with everything till the end.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Okay.
- 22:47Speaker 3: I mean, like, let's not pretend that these kids live
- 22:51Speaker 3: in a bubble without the Internet and outside sources like.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Nine year olds though that nine year olds.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Mine, Yeah, like my my YouTube or something like. I
- 23:01Speaker 3: bet you that they've seen stuff on there.
- 23:03Speaker 2: No way, no way.
- 23:05Speaker 3: If you have a mom or dad was on a
- 23:07Speaker 3: show and like what is being highlighted is them yelling
- 23:13Speaker 3: or fighting, I would definitely like google myself or google them.
- 23:19Speaker 2: No, like even it is not allowed on Google. They're
- 23:21Speaker 2: probably not even allowed on Google. You know. This is
- 23:24Speaker 2: the thing like I get when they're older, yes, nine
- 23:27Speaker 2: years old, absolutely not not with seeing how they parent.
- 23:31Speaker 2: I'm this is my take.
- 23:32Speaker 3: I don't know if they, but they have buddies that
- 23:36Speaker 3: are I would think that they have seen something through
- 23:41Speaker 3: an outside source. That's where I land on.
- 23:43Speaker 2: That, Okay, I I well, I respectfully disagree.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Or heard it from an outside source.
- 23:50Speaker 2: If any If they heard it anywhere, it would be
- 23:52Speaker 2: in their own home. That's where I think.
- 23:54Speaker 3: Not at school.
- 23:55Speaker 2: I mean they think about it, they lives. They don't
- 23:57Speaker 2: talk about that stuff at school, like, not at that age.
- 24:00Speaker 2: If you're protecting your kids the way, yeah.
- 24:03Speaker 3: They're not going in hard, like some little kid isn't
- 24:08Speaker 3: breaking down the episode.
- 24:09Speaker 2: But I guarantee, but if they do, I want to
- 24:12Speaker 2: hear that.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I guarantee you they're going to come in and
- 24:16Speaker 3: be like we heard that Heather wasn't nice. We heard
- 24:18Speaker 3: that like your mom got in a fight on the
- 24:21Speaker 3: show with a lady named Heather or something like that.
- 24:24Speaker 2: I can see that, Okay, well, okay, agree to disagree. Well,
- 24:29Speaker 2: when it comes to Katie and how she says, well,
- 24:32Speaker 2: we were giggling about it. See, I don't have a
- 24:35Speaker 2: problem with Katie talking to Kayley about these ladies either.
- 24:40Speaker 2: She when she says she's old enough, we think this
- 24:44Speaker 2: is funny. Like, I don't have a problem with that.
- 24:46Speaker 2: I would be totally talking to Maddy about certain things.
- 24:50Speaker 2: I would have no problem when she's that old. It
- 24:52Speaker 2: sucks now that it's being brought to Heather's attention. Of course,
- 24:54Speaker 2: it's going to be hurtful. But then you see the
- 24:57Speaker 2: scene of Katie being messy at the dinner table with
- 24:59Speaker 2: her young child, and he's saying she's being a jerk again, like,
- 25:03Speaker 2: that's not I don't think Emily's doing that. I think
- 25:05Speaker 2: Katie's doing that. All right, Well, what do you guys think,
- 25:09Speaker 2: messi twins or messy twenty year old? And honestly, it
- 25:13Speaker 2: could be right there in the middle. And that's why
- 25:16Speaker 2: I don't like this drama, because I feel bad for
- 25:20Speaker 2: the kids. That's why I think Katie should have kept
- 25:23Speaker 2: it off camera, because Katie did feed the fire and
- 25:26Speaker 2: when she was like, oh yeah, Tamra, you have to
- 25:28Speaker 2: hear this, I mean, I thought that was so stupid of.
- 25:32Speaker 3: Her to do.
- 25:32Speaker 2: And at the end of the day, it rides on Katie. Yeah,
- 25:36Speaker 2: we can agree on that, all right. Well, Heather and
- 25:39Speaker 2: Katie kind of had it out at that point, and
- 25:42Speaker 2: Heather's like saying that she's done with her, and Katie's like, well,
- 25:47Speaker 2: I'm done with you because you're always putting your nails
- 25:50Speaker 2: in my face and shutting me up. And then Heather's like,
- 25:53Speaker 2: because you're boring and you lie, and then Katie says,
- 25:55Speaker 2: you lie and swore on your kids, and then Heather goes,
- 25:58Speaker 2: that's bullshit. How dare yeah you? And then Katie kind
- 26:05Speaker 2: of really leans into this same same behavior, same vibe
- 26:11Speaker 2: as heathern is like, h well, that's what it is,
- 26:15Speaker 2: and I'm gonna and I'm I don't care. You can
- 26:17Speaker 2: say what you say, and then you know, they go
- 26:21Speaker 2: their separate ways. But I did find that moment of like,
- 26:24Speaker 2: how dare you is just such a classic term for
- 26:26Speaker 2: a housewife to say that I have to give it
- 26:28Speaker 2: a little bit of props, And it felt heavy handed.
- 26:31Speaker 3: Yeah what do you mean by heavy handed?
- 26:35Speaker 2: Too much or the top?
- 26:36Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, it felt like this, I'm giving a
- 26:40Speaker 3: moment quiet on this set everything. Yeah, yeah, yeah, here
- 26:43Speaker 3: comes my monologue. Whereas Katie felt authentic to me.
- 26:50Speaker 2: She seemed like she's getting jiggy with it, you know, Okay,
- 26:54Speaker 2: but that's fine. I think that's fine for a housewife
- 26:57Speaker 2: to do, like lean into it. I mean, I don't
- 26:59Speaker 2: have a problem with it. But before we get into
- 27:01Speaker 2: the next phase of this recap, let me take a
- 27:03Speaker 2: quick break. We're all about self care these days, right,

- 30:34Speaker 2: with Via, Darling listeners. This episode's proudly brought to you
- 30:39Speaker 2: by Low Lev, an award winning hair caro line founded
- 30:42Speaker 2: by my best friend Jennifer Aniston. Okay, I that might
- 30:46Speaker 2: be a little bit of a stretch, but I'd like
- 30:48Speaker 2: to think that we're besties in my head because she's
- 30:51Speaker 2: giving me incredible advice on hair. We all go through it,
- 30:56Speaker 2: we all torture our hair coloring, heat styling, I mean
- 31:00Speaker 2: so much of it. Scorching sun anyone. I'm still in
- 31:04Speaker 2: the heat in Santa Clarita. It's literally one hundred and
- 31:07Speaker 2: five decrees the other day. So when you are dealing
- 31:10Speaker 2: with this type of thing, I highly recommend the intensive
- 31:13Speaker 2: repair treatment. It has so much to give. It's clinically
- 31:17Speaker 2: proven to repair and rebuild all types of hair, and
- 31:21Speaker 2: it's a game changer. How can we not listen to
- 31:23Speaker 2: gen Jen was fed up with incessant damage and the
- 31:26Speaker 2: choice between using hair care products that worked versus those
- 31:29Speaker 2: that were genuinely beneficial, So she decided to create the
- 31:34Speaker 2: product that she wanted. She worked with chemists. Can you
- 31:38Speaker 2: imagine Jennifer working with chemists?
- 31:40Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 31:40Speaker 2: Oh, proprietary bond technology. I love it. So now she's
- 31:44Speaker 2: delivering us both naturally derived ingredients and high performance results
- 31:49Speaker 2: derived from chia seeds. This technology constructs a new protective
- 31:53Speaker 2: cuticle around the hair where damage begins to keep it
- 31:56Speaker 2: healthy and looking its best. Think of it as an
- 31:59Speaker 2: all around defense against signs of aging and damage on
- 32:03Speaker 2: the hair. Yes, our hair ages, but it doesn't have
- 32:06Speaker 2: to look like that. And here's a treat for you
- 32:09Speaker 2: for my awesome listeners. For a limited time, you get

- 32:51Speaker 2: All Right, guys, we are back Jen's engagement party. Let's
- 32:54Speaker 2: talk about the outfits. Obviously, Alexis gets a zero, doesn't
- 33:00Speaker 2: get it? Whose outfit did you like the best?
- 33:04Speaker 3: Heather?
- 33:05Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, I did love Shannon's. I'm
- 33:10Speaker 2: gonna go with Shannon because because of the flowers, and like,
- 33:16Speaker 2: did she have a shrug and or does she have
- 33:19Speaker 2: like the gloves or did she both? Because that there
- 33:22Speaker 2: was a lot of specificity to hers that I loved.
- 33:27Speaker 3: Yeah. The only they didn't love was the show that
- 33:30Speaker 3: she put on in the car because of the dress
- 33:33Speaker 3: with Vicky.
- 33:34Speaker 2: That's like so much it is and that's so Vicky
- 33:37Speaker 2: and Shannon, you know, like that's their antics. It's it's
- 33:41Speaker 2: just silly.
- 33:42Speaker 3: But I feel like, wasn't it like a two color
- 33:45Speaker 3: a two tone?
- 33:46Speaker 2: Yeah, black and white?
- 33:47Speaker 3: Yeah, and I can't remember if that was the shaw
- 33:50Speaker 3: or just the top of the dress, but yeah, no,
- 33:51Speaker 3: she did she had a rap. Yeah.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought she really hit it. And her hair
- 33:57Speaker 2: was great. Who okay, Jen looked great. M hm. Tameras
- 34:04Speaker 2: was great.
- 34:07Speaker 3: Yeah. Somebody said it they were like barbies and I
- 34:11Speaker 3: thought that was a better name for the theme. Somebody
- 34:14Speaker 3: was like, we look like the Barbies and I was
- 34:16Speaker 3: like that, yeah, you guys, they kind of did. It
- 34:18Speaker 3: looks like a bunch of barbies. Yeah.
- 34:20Speaker 2: I like that. Yeah, Katies was great. That was really
- 34:25Speaker 2: she hit it on the nose. Like the blue with
- 34:27Speaker 2: the ruffles. I thought that was pretty perfect, right.
- 34:31Speaker 3: But also the royal Yeah yeah, I thought that was
- 34:34Speaker 3: too commona blue. Yeah it was Ramona blue. But I
- 34:38Speaker 3: feel like she I think like it looked like a
- 34:41Speaker 3: dress that you could wear. But if you saw nine
- 34:44Speaker 3: of those in a wedding, you'd be like, okay, you
- 34:47Speaker 3: know what I.
- 34:47Speaker 2: Mean, Oh my god. And you know in the eighties
- 34:51Speaker 2: we were like okay.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Yeah, but I mean I've seen that dress currently, like
- 34:59Speaker 3: that kind of a big ruffle cut and everything, so
- 35:02Speaker 3: it's like.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not out of date, right, because it's kind
- 35:06Speaker 2: of coming back a little bit, right. Yeah. And then
- 35:10Speaker 2: Gina's was was good. That actually looked kind of cute
- 35:13Speaker 2: on her. But the blue gloves were great.
- 35:16Speaker 3: But the spandex through me like you wouldn't wear span.
- 35:20Speaker 3: It was like a spandex pant with it. Oh yeah.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Because when she was climbing on that wall, oh, they
- 35:25Speaker 2: were tights. They were tights because when she climbed on
- 35:27Speaker 2: that wall, you could actually see like through the tights
- 35:30Speaker 2: you could see her. What.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:33Speaker 2: The wall climbing was another like okay, we're Vicky and Shannon,
- 35:37Speaker 2: We're going to do some physical hijinks here. Okay, we
- 35:40Speaker 2: get it.
- 35:40Speaker 3: But they weren't doing the Shannon puts on that rat
- 35:45Speaker 3: rare vois. Yeah, and Emily and Gina were like genuinely laughing. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 35:54Speaker 2: I thought it was really funny for Emily to wear
- 35:57Speaker 2: her own wedding dress. Yeah, and have well she was like,
- 36:03Speaker 2: oh my god, what Shane was saying about the flowers.
- 36:06Speaker 2: I thought was hilarious. It's just like our marriage dried
- 36:08Speaker 2: up colorless, like lifeless, I guess sexually really funny.
- 36:14Speaker 3: Yeah, it was, and I got it. Hats off to
- 36:17Speaker 3: Emily to be like Shane, I don't give a shit
- 36:19Speaker 3: how tall you are. I'm wearing heels when I went
- 36:20Speaker 3: away her heels.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Yeah, she's not pulling a me out. And and Shannon's like, oh,
- 36:29Speaker 2: wearing white to a wedding is like a no. So
- 36:31Speaker 2: she was wearing white. I thought it was great. Everyone
- 36:33Speaker 2: looks yeah, really good, super fun.
- 36:35Speaker 3: Zephyr alexis good. But I didn't understand it.
- 36:40Speaker 2: We'll never understand her. Katie and Heather snub each other equally.
- 36:45Speaker 2: I mean that's on both of them. They're both like
- 36:47Speaker 2: walking away going like I can't believe that bit snub.
- 36:49Speaker 2: It's like, well, you both walked by each other, so whatever. Yeah,
- 36:52Speaker 2: Jen's mom is there, which was interesting to see.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Well, we've seen her her mom and dad crying in
- 37:01Speaker 3: the crying in the kitchen of them.
- 37:04Speaker 2: So do they live in OC or they I feel
- 37:06Speaker 2: like they live somewhere else.
- 37:08Speaker 3: They do live. I think that they live in Utah,
- 37:11Speaker 3: right or.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Wherever she was Yeah, yeah, Minnesota or something.
- 37:14Speaker 3: Yeah, we don't know. Yeah, but they came in for
- 37:20Speaker 3: the engagement party.
- 37:21Speaker 2: But that was a big deal. Well the dad didn't,
- 37:22Speaker 2: but she did know the dad was there. Oh he was.
- 37:26Speaker 3: Oh yeah, they did the picture together.
- 37:28Speaker 2: Oh Oopsie's sorry. And then Tarma's like, I'm not drinking
- 37:33Speaker 2: right now because I'm trying to be better than Shannon,
- 37:35Speaker 2: and I don't like the way that I cheated people.
- 37:37Speaker 2: It's like and it's the season finale, and I just
- 37:40Speaker 2: guess because I really been like, you know, hitting low.
- 37:43Speaker 2: So I'm just gonna stop drinking. And then she apologizes
- 37:47Speaker 2: to Gina for I don't even know what I was,
- 37:48Speaker 2: like whatever, and you guys have your problems, but they kind.
- 37:52Speaker 3: Of wait, Gina or Jen Tarma, well that's later.
- 37:55Speaker 2: But tamraologized China for something, and I'm like, I'm not
- 37:59Speaker 2: really invested. I don't care.
- 38:00Speaker 3: I didn't even clock it, Like I know it's seen
- 38:02Speaker 3: and I forgot that that even happened, right, I'm like
- 38:05Speaker 3: I'm with you.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Not really not necessary, not necessary. So all right, So
- 38:11Speaker 2: Tama and Jen talk and Tamra is like saying that
- 38:15Speaker 2: Shannon brought all this stuff up about the text because
- 38:18Speaker 2: she wants to get in between us, and I apologie,
- 38:20Speaker 2: she apologized for going low and that she wanted to
- 38:23Speaker 2: show her the other text messages. And Jen ultimately is like,
- 38:28Speaker 2: I don't know where I am with you and I'm
- 38:29Speaker 2: not ready. And then Tamra was like, okay, bye.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Good because I realized that the thing that drove me
- 38:35Speaker 3: crazy that Tama was doing to Jen is that weird,
- 38:39Speaker 3: like laughing at her in the when Jen is fired up,
- 38:43Speaker 3: and Tamra's.
- 38:44Speaker 2: Like ha ha hah, like yeah, it was weird.
- 38:47Speaker 3: Yeah, And it's like, well, Tamara, if you had all
- 38:49Speaker 3: this and you thought you were right, why did you
- 38:53Speaker 3: act like that? Just give her the information right then,
- 38:55Speaker 3: like I don't understand, what's the big deal. Show her
- 38:58Speaker 3: the text then, instead of being I'm like ha ha,
- 39:01Speaker 3: look at you you're mad? Yeah, oh my.
- 39:03Speaker 2: God, yeah, instead of you know, being condescending towards her
- 39:06Speaker 2: about like oh you're you know, you're really a housewife,
- 39:08Speaker 2: look at you slow?
- 39:11Speaker 4: Yeah, if she really did care about their friendship, she'd
- 39:15Speaker 4: be like, Okay, hold on, hold on, you know, let
- 39:20Speaker 4: me prove to you right now.
- 39:22Speaker 2: And she did not do that. It just was more
- 39:24Speaker 2: vindictive back and it's she is quite the housewife that one,
- 39:30Speaker 2: you know, meaning Tamora.
- 39:31Speaker 3: I wonder if she will now the play that she'll
- 39:34Speaker 3: have now at the reunion is if it comes up
- 39:38Speaker 3: like the timing of that or why didn't you just
- 39:40Speaker 3: do that, she'll be like, I was trying to protect Shannon, like, oh,
- 39:44Speaker 3: you know what I mean, And I think that was
- 39:47Speaker 3: not what she was trying to do. But given the
- 39:49Speaker 3: season fallout on Tamra this year by us the viewers,
- 39:54Speaker 3: She's going to come into that reunion hard like no,
- 39:58Speaker 3: you don't understand. I've had Shannon's back, I you know,
- 40:01Speaker 3: like that's going to be her move.
- 40:02Speaker 2: There's got to be some excuse that she uses that
- 40:05Speaker 2: has nothing to do with her being incredibly big, condescending
- 40:11Speaker 2: and rude to her. Yeah, yeah, because she could have
- 40:15Speaker 2: cleaned the mess up pretty quickly and she didn't. She
- 40:17Speaker 2: chose not to, which is a weird move. But sometimes
- 40:20Speaker 2: you think that Tamra does those types of things mm
- 40:22Speaker 2: hm for a better show.
- 40:25Speaker 3: I agree, I but what she was missing was how
- 40:31Speaker 3: much she was going to be the villain this season
- 40:33Speaker 3: in that moment, and I think either way, it would
- 40:38Speaker 3: have been compelling to just show it then instead of
- 40:41Speaker 3: holding it back, like just show it then. Yeah. Yeah.
- 40:46Speaker 2: Also, it was like twenty eighteen, and so part of me,
- 40:50Speaker 2: I'm actually I'm wondering if Tama was going to be like,
- 40:52Speaker 2: I didn't even know what you were talking about, and
- 40:54Speaker 2: so you were accusing me of something that I was like,
- 40:57Speaker 2: this is completely wrong. I don't know what you're talking about.
- 41:00Speaker 2: So of course I responded that way because it's just
- 41:03Speaker 2: made up bullshit. So I wonder if she will take
- 41:05Speaker 2: that lane of like ignorance, you know, pleading ignorance, because
- 41:10Speaker 2: she doesn't even remember that this was coming up right
- 41:13Speaker 2: now about the twenty eighteen text. But so when Jen,
- 41:20Speaker 2: you know Jen's confessional, she says, you know, when when
- 41:24Speaker 2: Shannon apologizes to me, I believe her, when Tara does,
- 41:27Speaker 2: I don't. And I thought that was interesting because I
- 41:30Speaker 2: really do feel like Shannon will have to answer to
- 41:34Speaker 2: the rest of that text feed, you know, between she
- 41:38Speaker 2: and Tamra when they're talking about Ryan. She's going to
- 41:42Speaker 2: have to answer to that at something.
- 41:45Speaker 3: And Jen's wrong. Yeah, it's not that she believes Shannon,
- 41:51Speaker 3: because Shannon's working on herself. It's really that Tama has
- 41:56Speaker 3: had these come to Jesus moments with Jen so many
- 41:59Speaker 3: times that how she's cried wolf on these apologies. So meanwhile,
- 42:04Speaker 3: Shannon's maybe had a one on one I'm sorry to
- 42:07Speaker 3: Jen once twice, but tam If I was Jen, I'd
- 42:11Speaker 3: be like, here comes Tamra on the apology tour with
- 42:14Speaker 3: me again, Like that's really.
- 42:16Speaker 2: What r exactly, that's exactly because it's like, yeah, yeah,
- 42:20Speaker 2: rage and regret, rage and regret. So yeah, it's that
- 42:23Speaker 2: cycle that she's not thrilled about. They take their group
- 42:26Speaker 2: picture and then someone's like, it's so weird, probably Emily.
- 42:28Speaker 2: It's so weird that you two like shat and tamoraw,
- 42:31Speaker 2: you guys haven't even talked this whole time, you'd be
- 42:33Speaker 2: the same roup. And then Shannon's like, I'm creating boundaries
- 42:37Speaker 2: and these are healthy boundaries. And that's why I left
- 42:39Speaker 2: London and because you blasted me this one. You for
- 42:42Speaker 2: four days and I was excited for this trip and
- 42:45Speaker 2: then you and when I say I'm done I'm done,
- 42:48Speaker 2: and I'm not gonna go walk off and talk to
- 42:50Speaker 2: any about how, talk to anybody about how I'm being
- 42:52Speaker 2: done with it and then come back in. I'm not
- 42:55Speaker 2: gonna do that, Matt. I'm done. So what did you
- 42:58Speaker 2: think about this Matt conversation? This was so unexpected and weird.
- 43:03Speaker 3: I think Shannon needs to get her hearing checked. And
- 43:05Speaker 3: that's not a joke. I think she's been standing next
- 43:08Speaker 3: to Vicky screaming whoop it up for far too many years.
- 43:12Speaker 3: Because Matt was saying nice things he I watched. I
- 43:18Speaker 3: went back and watched it again because I was like, wait,
- 43:19Speaker 3: did I miss something? Because he's like, I think it
- 43:22Speaker 3: might be he says, maybe it's time to walk away
- 43:25Speaker 3: because I care about you and you've been kind to me.
- 43:29Speaker 3: And she's like what yeah, And she's like, I resent
- 43:32Speaker 3: you with something along the lines of like and I
- 43:35Speaker 3: don't appreciate you saying that because I don't know you
- 43:38Speaker 3: that well. And I was like, whoa, what is happening?
- 43:42Speaker 3: And it was almost as though she didn't want to
- 43:44Speaker 3: fight with anybody outside. So she's like, look at this
- 43:47Speaker 3: innocent bystander and it does not you know, the thing
- 43:52Speaker 3: that bothers me. The most about it is that I
- 43:55Speaker 3: know Johnny Jay and Alexis are sitting there watching that
- 43:58Speaker 3: scene and being like, see, yeah, this is her, and
- 44:04Speaker 3: I'm just like, man, she just didn't hear him.
- 44:08Speaker 2: It was a breakdown of communication. So I think like
- 44:10Speaker 2: at the beginning, he was being very kind, like you said,
- 44:13Speaker 2: and he was like, yeah, I mean I care about you,
- 44:15Speaker 2: and yeah, maybe it is time to walk away, and
- 44:17Speaker 2: then she said something else and I think he got
- 44:22Speaker 2: annoyed like anybody would and called her out on the
- 44:26Speaker 2: bullshit of why are you just talking about leaving right
- 44:31Speaker 2: in front of me instead of just leaving? And that's
- 44:36Speaker 2: a very honest and blunt thing to say to somebody,
- 44:40Speaker 2: And most people don't say that, they hold back for
- 44:46Speaker 2: the sake of etiquette, but he didn't, and that's hard
- 44:50Speaker 2: to land on someone else's ears. Yeah, I think that
- 44:54Speaker 2: it just it turned when he said, you're standing in
- 44:57Speaker 2: front of me melting down when and you said that
- 45:01Speaker 2: you were gonna leave, why don't you just leave? And
- 45:04Speaker 2: you know, when someone's upset, that just is something that
- 45:07Speaker 2: it's like someone saying, stop talking, stop feeling what you're feeling.
- 45:11Speaker 2: You know, it just he's calling it like it is,
- 45:14Speaker 2: and that's where things like shifted and she heard it,
- 45:17Speaker 2: she took it in a way that was offensive and
- 45:20Speaker 2: then overreact And I am.
- 45:22Speaker 3: Very sensitive and if I'm heated for someone to tell
- 45:25Speaker 3: me to chill out, and I get that vibe. I
- 45:28Speaker 3: just thought, if I'm him and I'm actually being very
- 45:33Speaker 3: I mean, he's like, you've been so kind to me.
- 45:36Speaker 2: Yeah, know that. I know she should have given him
- 45:39Speaker 2: the benefit of the doubt, but I think he was
- 45:42Speaker 2: just like, what the fuck are you doing? Like he's
- 45:45Speaker 2: doing what anybody would want to say to somebody in
- 45:47Speaker 2: that situation, including you and me both, which is like
- 45:50Speaker 2: you're doing everything but leaving when you're talking about how
- 45:55Speaker 2: you're done, So why don't you just leave?
- 45:58Speaker 3: Yeah? And I also don't know if she was talking
- 46:01Speaker 3: about and I think he also was confused, are you
- 46:05Speaker 3: leaving the show?
- 46:06Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 46:07Speaker 3: This party?
- 46:08Speaker 2: Right?
- 46:10Speaker 3: I was.
- 46:10Speaker 2: I was wondering that too, Emily if he was like,
- 46:13Speaker 2: maybe you should be done with this show, and so
- 46:16Speaker 2: my wife Katie can okay, but then Tama ends up
- 46:21Speaker 2: leaving and then yeah, which is fine, so then Shannon
- 46:24Speaker 2: can come back to the show, and that again after
- 46:30Speaker 2: saying like in the past, I've always said I'm done,
- 46:32Speaker 2: and then I'm not done, and then I stay and
- 46:34Speaker 2: then i'm and in this time, I'm done. And it
- 46:37Speaker 2: was just like the irony of it with her having
- 46:40Speaker 2: to say that shows that she's not actually done, that
- 46:42Speaker 2: she still doesn't mean it, you know, which is elo
- 46:45Speaker 2: welling to me.
- 46:46Speaker 3: Do you think that I mean again, Tama, this is
- 46:51Speaker 3: your this is your game plan for the reunion. Tell
- 46:54Speaker 3: tell her, tell us that you left the party so
- 46:57Speaker 3: Shannon could get comfortable, had Shannon to have more screen time.
- 47:02Speaker 3: And right, that's why you left. That's your game plan.
- 47:05Speaker 3: Get in there, kid. Yeah, bullshit us with that.
- 47:09Speaker 2: Yeah, bullshit us with that. And then then we have
- 47:13Speaker 2: the three weeks later the show ends, we get everyone's
- 47:16Speaker 2: little subtitles and stuff.
- 47:18Speaker 3: Oh I didn't love the Instagram thing because it was
- 47:20Speaker 3: hard to read.
- 47:21Speaker 2: It was so hard to read. And when you pause
- 47:23Speaker 2: on Peacock, then you get the little bar at the
- 47:26Speaker 2: bottom the pops up and how can we fucking get
- 47:30Speaker 2: how do you?
- 47:30Speaker 3: Yeah, you have to wait it out, give it like
- 47:34Speaker 3: fifteen seconds, But who's got the time?
- 47:36Speaker 2: No? No, yeah, yeah, that's the only way. But I mean,
- 47:38Speaker 2: pause and get rid of it. That's what I'm talking about.
- 47:40Speaker 2: That's what's frustrating me, because then you have to keep
- 47:42Speaker 2: going back, yeah, further than you wanted to in order
- 47:45Speaker 2: to play it so that it does go away. Oh yeah,
- 47:49Speaker 2: all right.
- 47:50Speaker 3: And the song that was under it, I've heard it
- 47:52Speaker 3: before used on Housewives, I think at the end of seasons.
- 47:56Speaker 3: Oh yeah. It always reminds me of that crazy Town
- 47:58Speaker 3: Butterfly song, Don't I'm a Butterfly sugar Baby that.
- 48:03Speaker 2: Is like, oh yeah, it's.
- 48:06Speaker 3: Every time it starts, I'm like, here we go crazy Town.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Oh that's really funny. I never put those two together.
- 48:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm DJ James.
- 48:15Speaker 2: Yeah, a music savant. You're kind of like Tamra's daughter.
- 48:19Speaker 2: So so then we get the headlines of sixteen million.
- 48:23Speaker 3: No wrong, you are wrong, Amy Phillips.
- 48:27Speaker 2: MLV gambling scheme, and then we have like such a
- 48:32Speaker 2: swipe through of the scene of Jen and Ryan that
- 48:37Speaker 2: I thought it was like a trailer for what was
- 48:40Speaker 2: to come, but it was and it was the actual scene.
- 48:42Speaker 2: It was like, I'm not a part of this is
- 48:44Speaker 2: booky business. I believe everything is in the Lord's plan
- 48:48Speaker 2: and everything is working for us, and I just puke
- 48:51Speaker 2: in my mouth because it's very clear to me now,
- 48:55Speaker 2: which is a huge, huge, like revel revelation to all
- 49:01Speaker 2: of us to have seen Matt Bronie on at this
- 49:05Speaker 2: party saying the things that he said, which is that
- 49:09Speaker 2: he is not going to throw his friends under the bus,
- 49:14Speaker 2: and he's not he's like not gonna put him, you know,
- 49:17Speaker 2: and he pled guilty. He Ryan has never been charged
- 49:22Speaker 2: with any wrongdoing and received full use of immunity. And
- 49:27Speaker 2: the fact that this Matt guy is just taking it
- 49:30Speaker 2: for everybody, and I believe that, and I believe that's
- 49:33Speaker 2: exactly what happens. He's taking it for Ryan Boom like done.
- 49:39Speaker 2: That's a good Bronie.
- 49:41Speaker 3: That's a good Bronie.
- 49:43Speaker 2: I mean wow, So that's why he can like what
- 49:47Speaker 2: do you you know what else? What other explanation is there?
- 49:50Speaker 3: Do you allegedly you gain immunity and so allegedly, like
- 49:56Speaker 3: I wonder how Ryan gained immunity and allegedly how Matthew
- 50:01Speaker 3: Boyer has not. So I don't know if allegedly Ryan
- 50:05Speaker 3: may have turned on Matthew Boyer when it counted allegedly.
- 50:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's also something.
- 50:12Speaker 3: Yeah, then allegedly that's all.
- 50:18Speaker 2: And then we have like you know, Tamra's like, oh
- 50:21Speaker 2: my god, it's like, let's gotta lunch and out my
- 50:23Speaker 2: FBI hat. And then she said, Mike, when she says
- 50:26Speaker 2: my gut is always right in her confessional, it sounded
- 50:30Speaker 2: like she said, my God is as like my gut
- 50:32Speaker 2: is always My God is always right. And then Gina's
- 50:37Speaker 2: like she got so she's got to be blinded by love.
- 50:41Speaker 2: No one is this dum and then Emily is just
- 50:45Speaker 2: like if she chooses to get married, she's the dumbas
- 50:49Speaker 2: they're just like.
- 50:52Speaker 3: God. I also like, well, I don't know how much
- 50:59Speaker 3: Ryan Actus told her because he didn't want to.
- 51:03Speaker 2: He didn't tell her anything, of course not No, I
- 51:05Speaker 2: agree with you. Yeah, she doesn't know anything.
- 51:07Speaker 3: And it's so I think when she's sitting there like
- 51:11Speaker 3: I thought I would know everything, I don't know anything.
- 51:14Speaker 3: I'm also like, FBI, you paying attention, like I do
- 51:17Speaker 3: think there's there's a I do think that she's not stupid.
- 51:23Speaker 3: I don't think Ryan is stupid. I think that she's
- 51:27Speaker 3: being told one story and luckily that's what she believes
- 51:32Speaker 3: because had she leaned in and found further detail and
- 51:37Speaker 3: Ryan did. I'm not look at me. I'm defending this relationship.
- 51:40Speaker 3: I'm just glad that she doesn't know more than she did.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Absolutely, of course she doesn't know. And I don't think
- 51:46Speaker 2: that they're saying that she's stupid because she didn't know.
- 51:50Speaker 2: It's saying she's stupid now if she continues to go
- 51:54Speaker 2: through at this wedding, because where there is smoke, there
- 51:58Speaker 2: is fire. Oh yeah, and she knows this. You can
- 52:01Speaker 2: tell she knows this when she goes to Katie's house
- 52:05Speaker 2: with Gina and Jen, I mean Katie's house and she's
- 52:07Speaker 2: there with Gina and she was like, I just left
- 52:10Speaker 2: my house. I was so confused. I was so upset.
- 52:12Speaker 2: I don't want to think. And Gina's like, well, I
- 52:16Speaker 2: can tell you you're in an unhealthy religion, jip. And
- 52:19Speaker 2: then Jen's like, but what part of him is not
- 52:22Speaker 2: good for me? And it's like this is really tough
- 52:25Speaker 2: because Gina says to her plainly, everything that's happened right now,
- 52:31Speaker 2: like what you're seeing with the law, no matter what
- 52:35Speaker 2: he's telling you, this is what it is. And then
- 52:40Speaker 2: Gina is warning her, you should be concerned for yourself
- 52:43Speaker 2: and your kids. You're in the line of fire, like
- 52:46Speaker 2: if something's not coming for you now, it will in
- 52:48Speaker 2: the future. Get the fuck out. And the fact that
- 52:51Speaker 2: she is willing to continue to sail down this stream
- 52:56Speaker 2: is that is stupid to me, especially when she's got
- 52:59Speaker 2: a lot on the line with starting her life over
- 53:03Speaker 2: and has has children in this situation and now she's
- 53:08Speaker 2: crying about how she fucked up everything. It's like, you
- 53:11Speaker 2: didn't fuck up everything, Like you know you could fuck
- 53:14Speaker 2: up everything right now if you make a bad choice
- 53:16Speaker 2: to stay with him, and that's what you're doing, and
- 53:18Speaker 2: then now we can't have your back on this. It
- 53:21Speaker 2: was sad to hear when she said I was in
- 53:24Speaker 2: a marriage for twenty three years and couldn't have a
- 53:26Speaker 2: conversation with him in our own home and then comparing
- 53:29Speaker 2: it to like Ryan being her best friend who she
- 53:32Speaker 2: doesn't know, because.
- 53:33Speaker 3: I was going to say, you're still not having a
- 53:35Speaker 3: conversation in your own home. You're still not You're just
- 53:38Speaker 3: having a bullshit cloud around you at all times. It's
- 53:43Speaker 3: the same thing.
- 53:45Speaker 2: Yeah, she's exchanging one unhealthy thing for another. And I
- 53:49Speaker 2: understand that some of the aspects of your relationship with
- 53:52Speaker 2: Ryan are really, really great, but there is another side
- 53:56Speaker 2: to where he has allegedly, in my opinion, not only
- 53:59Speaker 2: in this case but others in the past, he has
- 54:02Speaker 2: like another life. He's got like a double life. He's
- 54:04Speaker 2: he's he's hiding a lot of stuff from her, and
- 54:07Speaker 2: she thinks that everything's hunky dory on the outside because
- 54:09Speaker 2: of the way he treats her, and that's how he
- 54:11Speaker 2: keeps it at Bay.
- 54:12Speaker 3: Yeah. And this is of course our fan fiction that
- 54:16Speaker 3: we're writing about Ryan. None of what we're saying is
- 54:18Speaker 3: true in case any you know.
- 54:20Speaker 2: Allegedly allegedly it's our lawyers.
- 54:24Speaker 3: Yeah, so uh yeah, And I feel bad because I
- 54:29Speaker 3: don't think gen C's away out financially.
- 54:32Speaker 2: Uh.
- 54:32Speaker 3: I really feel like that she loves Ryan, but she
- 54:36Speaker 3: loves the safety, the idea of it. And that's the thing.
- 54:41Speaker 3: It's like, you are not safe. You need to get
- 54:46Speaker 3: out before your name gets wrapped in this legally as
- 54:50Speaker 3: a marriage.
- 54:51Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh my god, that ring You've done it. And
- 54:59Speaker 2: then last, let's just talk about Gena and Travis. It's
- 55:02Speaker 2: making so much more sense now, yeah to me, Yeah,
- 55:06Speaker 2: we really needed the long narrative on this.
- 55:09Speaker 3: Yes, I don't know why at the beginning we weren't
- 55:13Speaker 3: getting it, and by the end of the season, Gina's like,
- 55:15Speaker 3: fuck it. You know what it's this X, it's the
- 55:18Speaker 3: ex wife. Yeah, And I'm surprised we haven't been hearing
- 55:22Speaker 3: more from the ex wife in like the news in
- 55:26Speaker 3: the world, like her being like no, no, no, no, no no.
- 55:33Speaker 2: They probably have a restraining order or like something against her.
- 55:37Speaker 2: You know, I bet there's a lot of legal stuff
- 55:39Speaker 2: going on there. Yeah, but I'm really really curious, Like
- 55:43Speaker 2: I want to know the dark, deep stuff. I really
- 55:46Speaker 2: want to know what it is that she's doing. Why
- 55:50Speaker 2: this pushed Gina out, And I understand why she left.
- 55:53Speaker 2: Now you Travis saying I don't think this was the
- 55:55Speaker 2: best decision, and you pull away when there's adversity, And
- 55:57Speaker 2: I'm thinking, fuck you, Travis. If this is so bad,
- 56:02Speaker 2: she has to protect her kids, Like, I'm surprised that
- 56:05Speaker 2: you guys are even trying to work it out. You know,
- 56:07Speaker 2: I'm shocked they're still together.
- 56:08Speaker 3: Shocked. Yeah, I agree.
- 56:11Speaker 2: The fact that they're going to do couples therapy is great,
- 56:14Speaker 2: Like the fact that they weren't even in it until
- 56:16Speaker 2: this point is amazing. But maybe that could I don't
- 56:19Speaker 2: know if that could help but what is the top
- 56:22Speaker 2: that aggressive behavior that's happening with this woman.
- 56:25Speaker 3: I yeah, I don't know, but like Travis putting it
- 56:29Speaker 3: on Gina that she's withdrawing basically and that's sabotaging, Yeah,
- 56:34Speaker 3: that she needs to work through. I'm like, this is
- 56:37Speaker 3: so fucked Travis. I usually like I am a big
- 56:42Speaker 3: fan of but I was like, oh no, dude, Yeah,
- 56:45Speaker 3: how do you not get this?
- 56:47Speaker 2: Yeah? I cannot believe they're still together? I cannot believe it. Yeah,
- 56:51Speaker 2: that's a lot to overcome.
- 56:53Speaker 3: Yeah, hopefully in counseling, like he'll get it better, and
- 56:56Speaker 3: maybe he will also gain some tools to deal with
- 56:58Speaker 3: the X if that's.
- 57:00Speaker 2: Right, right, That's what I'm hoping too, hopefully.
- 57:04Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know. Maybe it's not possible. I
- 57:06Speaker 3: don't know, but yeah, I mean I still I don't
- 57:08Speaker 3: I want to be clear, I am not rooting for
- 57:10Speaker 3: gen and Ryan, even though I'm like, I see how
- 57:13Speaker 3: the strings are being pulled and protecting Jen. I do
- 57:17Speaker 3: not want that relationship. But you know, I do think
- 57:20Speaker 3: Gena and Travis can figure it out.
- 57:23Speaker 2: I think they could possibly. Yeah, yeah, and maybe the
- 57:26Speaker 2: ex will at some point, you know, I don't know,
- 57:31Speaker 2: relent because they've been together for so long and she
- 57:35Speaker 2: will be tired. Yeah, you know, I don't know. Yeah, Well,
- 57:40Speaker 2: is there anything else you want to discuss about Orange
- 57:43Speaker 2: County A the finale?
- 57:48Speaker 3: I would like to have just a maybe a special
- 57:51Speaker 3: or a follow up episode, just to see how everybody
- 57:55Speaker 3: knows and loves Joe like she knows everybody in OC.
- 57:59Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 58:00Speaker 3: Everyone?
- 58:01Speaker 2: That is wild?
- 58:03Speaker 3: And what does she fail about Ryan?
- 58:05Speaker 1: Oh?
- 58:05Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, get her on a Vice show. I want
- 58:09Speaker 3: to see that Vice show. I don't need to hear
- 58:13Speaker 3: about Vicky being sad about reality TV. I want to see.
- 58:16Speaker 3: I want to I want Joe to give us an
- 58:17Speaker 3: expos on.
- 58:18Speaker 2: Ryan, Yeah, and Matt because she knows yes of them?
- 58:23Speaker 3: Yes and Matt.
- 58:27Speaker 2: All right, great, great finale, great season, looking forward to
- 58:32Speaker 2: the reunion. It looks like Emily is really going to
