- 1:42Speaker 3: Has not been that long, but I think because I
- 1:46Speaker 3: know that you are doing so many great things that
- 1:49Speaker 3: I feel like so much is going on right.
- 1:51Speaker 2: So so I just want to say welcome at the
- 1:55Speaker 2: same time, not enough at the same time, though, welcome.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Back, Welcome back. We have missed you. I have missed you.
- 2:03Speaker 3: It's only been one show since we've been without Jazzy,
- 2:05Speaker 3: but it's been eternity to me. As you can see,
- 2:08Speaker 3: she keeps me going luckily. Last show I did start.
- 2:11Speaker 2: With my mic on, so I remember.
- 2:17Speaker 4: Now.
- 2:18Speaker 3: But then I get Jazzy on the stage and I
- 2:20Speaker 3: get back to being codependent. So whatever I need you,
- 2:24Speaker 3: I love you and I'm so glad to have you back.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Welcome back.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I need you and I love you as well. So yes,
- 2:30Speaker 2: so let's do this because we had a great show too.
- 2:34Speaker 3: I'm trying to get make sure that my I am
- 2:37Speaker 3: on track with everything because I don't want to forget anything. Yeah,
- 2:42Speaker 3: but again, thank you guys for joining us. This is
- 2:46Speaker 3: bad to business and if you are joining us for
- 2:48Speaker 3: the first time in a while, I'm hoping bad to
- 2:51Speaker 3: business is about bringing all diverse discussions to business.
- 2:54Speaker 4: That is the acronym for bad.
- 2:57Speaker 3: And so we just worked to bring a lot of
- 3:00Speaker 3: diverse discussions to the business table. See if we can
- 3:02Speaker 3: bring some type of unity and get some common ground
- 3:05Speaker 3: to some things, get the anger out of it and
- 3:07Speaker 3: get some you know, some knowledge into it, and you know,
- 3:11Speaker 3: maybe change a perspective or change of mind or just
- 3:13Speaker 3: change the way we move in something. So always worth
- 3:17Speaker 3: to try. So again, just welcome, Happy Friday nights all those.
- 3:22Speaker 3: I hope you had a great week. Jazz, I hope
- 3:24Speaker 3: you had a great week.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Hello everybody in.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Hello Zilly, Hello Yea Fay. Hello everyone. I hope you
- 3:33Speaker 3: guys are ready for a good show today.
- 3:34Speaker 4: We are.
- 3:36Speaker 3: If you've been following. Hopefully we are discussing a new thing,
- 3:45Speaker 3: a new thing. Both Jazz and I are going through
- 3:48Speaker 3: things individually and collectively, and so we were just kind
- 3:54Speaker 3: of discussing as much as we can stay in contact
- 3:57Speaker 3: with each other doing this transitional time period in our lives,
- 4:02Speaker 3: just what God has been doing for us and what
- 4:05Speaker 3: we're embracing and what we're looking forward to. So we
- 4:07Speaker 3: came up with this a new thing and that was
- 4:13Speaker 3: derived by Isaiah forty three nineteen. And for those that
- 4:16Speaker 3: don't know that person, can I thought I was having
- 4:21Speaker 3: some feedback for those who do not know that particular scripture.
- 4:25Speaker 3: It says, see, I am doing a new thing, do
- 4:29Speaker 3: not dwell on the things from the PATHM. Sorry, I
- 4:32Speaker 3: should have read the one before, but it says, do
- 4:34Speaker 3: not dwell on the former things of the past.
- 4:36Speaker 4: For c I am doing a new thing.
- 4:38Speaker 3: And one of the things, the key thing that it
- 4:40Speaker 3: says in that scripture is that it says do you
- 4:42Speaker 3: not receive it?
- 4:45Speaker 4: That is a big thing.
- 4:47Speaker 3: That's a question. I do not receive it. So so yeah,
- 4:52Speaker 3: we want to kind of talk about doing a new thing.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Tonight we'll be talking about just new beginning embracing the
- 5:01Speaker 3: unfamiliar and about recognizing when God or life is trying to,
- 5:05Speaker 3: you know, do some things and call us to step
- 5:07Speaker 3: into some new positions and some new roles and even
- 5:11Speaker 3: get out of the old seasons of feeling comfortable. So
- 5:14Speaker 3: we just want to kind of embark on some new things. Yeah,
- 5:22Speaker 3: let's see, Judge, you got some new things going on.
- 5:27Speaker 3: So I don't want to just you know, I'm so excited.
- 5:31Speaker 3: First of all, I am. I'm trying to contain a lot.
- 5:35Speaker 3: I got some new earrings. Okay, First of all, let
- 5:38Speaker 3: me go ahead and give a shout out to miss
- 5:39Speaker 3: c at Renaissance Middle School. I'm not gonna give up
- 5:43Speaker 3: too much of your information right now until I can
- 5:45Speaker 3: go ahead and give you your just due.
- 5:47Speaker 4: But it's just faith on them.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Gorgeous, Thank you, Thank you, ensemble.
- 5:55Speaker 3: But it is a new thing, and you know, it's
- 5:58Speaker 3: a whole lot of new things going on, and even
- 6:00Speaker 3: with the entrepreneurs that we have been talking to and
- 6:05Speaker 3: doing things like that.
- 6:08Speaker 4: I'm excited. I'm really yeah, But I want to ask.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Right now, Jazy, while you're going through before you give
- 6:18Speaker 3: your testimonial journey or whatever you might want to share
- 6:21Speaker 3: with us this time, because I know you don't want
- 6:23Speaker 3: to give too much away as you're still kind of
- 6:25Speaker 3: unfolding in some things. What does what does letting go
- 6:31Speaker 3: the old look like to you? Now you can use
- 6:34Speaker 3: whatever instances you want, of course, I know, Okay.
- 6:38Speaker 2: I know, right, So actually, and that's really the best
- 6:43Speaker 2: question because it does lead us into what's been going on. So,
- 6:46Speaker 2: as you know, I haven't been on a couple of shows,
- 6:49Speaker 2: I've been transitioning. I've been introduced to a new thing,
- 6:53Speaker 2: and I'm leaving old things behind. So really letting go
- 6:58Speaker 2: of the old, and like your daily life is, you know,
- 7:01Speaker 2: old habits. You know, you can do a little bit
- 7:03Speaker 2: of a little bit each day. Like you talked about
- 7:06Speaker 2: in the previous show, it takes twenty one days to
- 7:08Speaker 2: make or break a habit, so a little bit each
- 7:11Speaker 2: day goes a long way. So but in the long term,
- 7:15Speaker 2: you know, grudges forgiving people, even just in general letting
- 7:21Speaker 2: go of, in my case, a whole life.
- 7:28Speaker 4: I was wondering if he was gonna say it like that.
- 7:32Speaker 2: That's awesome, right, Okay, Yeah, So for those of you
- 7:38Speaker 2: who have been following us, as you know, I've been
- 7:42Speaker 2: doing our shows from Albuquerque, and I actually had a
- 7:48Speaker 2: three year layover and I finally caught my flight out
- 7:53Speaker 2: and I have moved to Phoenix, Arizona, which is where
- 7:57Speaker 2: I'm at right now. So those of you that are following,
- 8:00Speaker 2: if you're in Phoenix, if you see me in the streets,
- 8:02Speaker 2: say hello. But basically I had to, and I mean
- 8:09Speaker 2: you were there. I mean we've talked about it, like
- 8:11Speaker 2: I manifested this dream and it was nowhere on my radar.
- 8:17Speaker 2: My brother lived out here, my cousin lived out here.
- 8:19Speaker 2: I helped them move out here. You know. It was
- 8:22Speaker 2: my dad was like, oh, why don't you move to Phoenix.
- 8:24Speaker 2: It was like, nah, why would I move to Phynick,
- 8:26Speaker 2: who would Why? I'm gonna help my brother move out here.
- 8:30Speaker 2: And that's it. But after, you know, things happened in
- 8:34Speaker 2: New Mexico and I decided. I was like, you know what,
- 8:38Speaker 2: I'm done here. There's nothing here to keep me why.
- 8:41Speaker 2: I didn't mean to stay here as long as I did. Again,
- 8:45Speaker 2: three year layover and I decided to go, and the
- 8:49Speaker 2: closest state was Arizona, next state over, and I decided
- 8:54Speaker 2: let it all go and start over, like literally start.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Over, like I got everything on.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Something real quick because you said it was the closest state.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Let's not talk about convenience with you, because let's let's
- 9:11Speaker 3: let them know you are a driver. You're just short
- 9:13Speaker 3: of having You're just short of having eighteen wheels.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Okay, you that driver. I have on some trips that I.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Just will not be getting behind the wheel because I
- 9:25Speaker 3: enjoy you know, the car.
- 9:32Speaker 4: Okay, I enjoyed Whatever that leads to gay feet out
- 9:37Speaker 4: the window, it doesn't matter.
- 9:38Speaker 2: I can't do it. Like driving. I do like driving.
- 9:41Speaker 2: And it wasn't really convenience. It wasn't really convenience. It
- 9:44Speaker 2: was more so again, I had family that was out here.
- 9:49Speaker 2: I did come to visit when they stayed out here,
- 9:52Speaker 2: and I enjoyed it. I like the people, I like
- 9:54Speaker 2: the scenery. It was nice. I didn't mind it, So
- 9:58Speaker 2: why not. It's a new place. Nobody knows my name,
- 10:01Speaker 2: nobody knows who I am. I just want to go
- 10:06Speaker 2: where nobody knows. Nay, your name to nobody, nobody, yo.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Because Albuquerque is that small, you run into people, you
- 10:16Speaker 2: see people all the time, and I was done. I'm like,
- 10:21Speaker 2: I can't keep doing this.
- 10:22Speaker 3: So I left good, even with you having family there prior,
- 10:30Speaker 3: and it's funny that you say.
- 10:31Speaker 2: That, and I'm still I'm still and I.
- 10:35Speaker 3: You know friends here, you I know, you know some
- 10:37Speaker 3: people there, you have some work relationships there.
- 10:39Speaker 4: So let's talk. Let's talk on going from decision to transition.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Okay, when we're talking about a new thing, how do
- 10:52Speaker 3: you know? Because I mean, you had a brother there,
- 10:54Speaker 3: you had family there, but yet you're there by yourself.
- 10:58Speaker 4: At this point.
- 10:59Speaker 2: So yeah, everybody had moved back. Yeah, everybody moved back
- 11:03Speaker 2: to Atlanta.
- 11:04Speaker 4: So where was.
- 11:05Speaker 3: The decision from from how did you go from decision
- 11:12Speaker 3: to transition?
- 11:13Speaker 2: Like?
- 11:13Speaker 4: How how do you know?
- 11:15Speaker 3: And then I'll give you an example of me, but
- 11:17Speaker 3: how do you How did you know that it was time?
- 11:20Speaker 4: What kind of feeling, what type of thing? What?
- 11:23Speaker 3: What type of thing did did you have? What type
- 11:27Speaker 3: of sign did God give you that said it was
- 11:29Speaker 3: time for a new thing?
- 11:35Speaker 2: Actually? Really, no, I know I was gonna say really,
- 11:40Speaker 2: to be honest, I probably got that sign probably a
- 11:43Speaker 2: year ago, and I tried to pursue a different direction,
- 11:51Speaker 2: and I decided when that didn't work out, it was like, okay,
- 11:58Speaker 2: I should have probably left a long time ago, and
- 12:01Speaker 2: I didn't and that was on me, and it was
- 12:04Speaker 2: like he was gonna give me another chance to do it.
- 12:07Speaker 2: I'm willing to do it. I'm willing to listen, and
- 12:09Speaker 2: I'm wanting to go where you want me to go.
- 12:11Speaker 2: So I hope to go there. It was really anywhere
- 12:15Speaker 2: in Arizona, but it was like I Phoenix was familiar.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Plus with the job that I had, I knew customers
- 12:21Speaker 2: out here. You know, I do have two cats, so
- 12:23Speaker 2: I worked in the pet industry. So with that being said,
- 12:27Speaker 2: I was relying on places that I knew I could
- 12:32Speaker 2: connect and my cats would still be okay. So that's
- 12:35Speaker 2: another reason that kind of made me lean towards Phoenix
- 12:38Speaker 2: because my whole my customer base was all located in Phoenix.
- 12:42Speaker 2: So that was part of the decision. And like I said,
- 12:47Speaker 2: I probably should have left a year ago and I didn't.
- 12:50Speaker 2: So when I knew that my lease was coming up,
- 12:53Speaker 2: like it was probably what April or May, I think
- 12:55Speaker 2: you and I talk. I think you came to visit
- 12:57Speaker 2: me in May for my birthday, So probably on that
- 13:00Speaker 2: trip when you came, it was like, you know what,
- 13:03Speaker 2: like my lease is up in six months, I don't
- 13:07Speaker 2: really have nothing to stay here for let's why not,
- 13:12Speaker 2: let's go somewhere else.
- 13:14Speaker 4: Layover.
- 13:17Speaker 3: You mentioned a layover, three year layover, so I'm believe
- 13:22Speaker 3: that you never really intended on things, so it was
- 13:26Speaker 3: always a fire in your heart to move somewhere else.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Now, even with.
- 13:31Speaker 3: That being yeaid, yeah, so you had a three a
- 13:35Speaker 3: three year I just wanted to say three hours so bad.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Hour two a three hour two. Yep.
- 13:44Speaker 3: But in that three years, you you know, even though
- 13:47Speaker 3: you planned it to be a stop and go, So
- 13:49Speaker 3: in three years you develop work relationships, probably a you
- 13:55Speaker 3: know relationship, things like that.
- 13:58Speaker 2: So how do.
- 13:59Speaker 4: You how do you leave what's familiar? Now?
- 14:03Speaker 3: You did say that Phoenix was somewhat familiar because you
- 14:07Speaker 3: do have a customer base and stuff like that.
- 14:09Speaker 4: So how did you decide to where? Did it feel
- 14:13Speaker 4: like it was okay to.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Leave the unknown and the unfamiliar to go to a
- 14:18Speaker 3: new thing. Was it something in your head? Did you
- 14:20Speaker 3: just wake up and say, you know what, Like you said,
- 14:22Speaker 3: you thought about it in May. But was it one
- 14:24Speaker 3: of those hey, you know what, I think I'm just
- 14:28Speaker 3: ready to move?
- 14:28Speaker 4: Was it a slow creep?
- 14:30Speaker 3: Was it something that because you had had that three
- 14:32Speaker 3: year layover you knew that you needed to be working on,
- 14:35Speaker 3: because I don't even know how you got into a
- 14:36Speaker 3: three year layer layover, pass a three hour layover. That's
- 14:44Speaker 3: gonna be a whole other episode.
- 14:45Speaker 4: I'm to tell you about something like that.
- 14:48Speaker 3: How we get laid over in some places that was
- 14:52Speaker 3: just supposed to be a stop and go.
- 14:54Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, it's like you left the airport, is what happened.
- 15:00Speaker 2: And I got stuck the land of entrapment.
- 15:03Speaker 3: But that's not fair. It's called the land of enchantment.
- 15:07Speaker 3: But well, but what what you know? Having already established
- 15:13Speaker 3: yourself and stuff like that, would you say that like
- 15:16Speaker 3: something was just put on your spearit? Because I'm really
- 15:18Speaker 3: big on how God's will will be done and how
- 15:21Speaker 3: sometimes he'll just will something for your life, or he'll
- 15:24Speaker 3: put something on you that you didn't think you wanted
- 15:27Speaker 3: to do, and then all of a sudden you just
- 15:28Speaker 3: want to do because his will will be done. It'll
- 15:31Speaker 3: just will in your life if you will. So how
- 15:34Speaker 3: did that go about? Was it something that you just
- 15:36Speaker 3: kind of knew you should have been doing, or did
- 15:38Speaker 3: you get this nudge, this urge, this something that said
- 15:42Speaker 3: it was.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Time to go it was more of an urgent a
- 15:45Speaker 2: nudge because again, like I said, I probably should have
- 15:49Speaker 2: a long time ago, I didn't. So this time it
- 15:53Speaker 2: was more so you gotta go, you you have to
- 15:57Speaker 2: go like now, And unfortunately, yeah, it was more and
- 16:02Speaker 2: so like I will say, it was spiritual because I
- 16:06Speaker 2: mean I prayed about it, you know, but I didn't
- 16:08Speaker 2: know again where I was going. I just know I
- 16:10Speaker 2: didn't want to be in New Mexico. So it was
- 16:13Speaker 2: a point of I'll go where you want me to go.
- 16:18Speaker 2: But I did have slight stipulations because I didn't want
- 16:23Speaker 2: to go back to Florida, where I had moved out
- 16:26Speaker 2: of here from. I didn't want to go there, you know.
- 16:29Speaker 2: And it was like I kind of just I don't
- 16:31Speaker 2: want to go back, like I don't want to go back,
- 16:34Speaker 2: and it's like I've lived there. Yeah, I've done it already.
- 16:37Speaker 2: I've seen what it is. I've spent some time in
- 16:39Speaker 2: most of the places that I've lived. So again, I'll
- 16:42Speaker 2: just have to say it was more so of a nudge,
- 16:44Speaker 2: but it was it was like I just I knew
- 16:48Speaker 2: it was time to go. My time here was done
- 16:51Speaker 2: or there was done, and it was time to go
- 16:54Speaker 2: do something else. So what I did was I put
- 16:57Speaker 2: my fade out there and oh you cast it on,
- 17:04Speaker 2: cast it out my net, and I stood on faith
- 17:08Speaker 2: that this is where I was going to go. And
- 17:12Speaker 2: I mean things just started happening like Halloween. I didn't
- 17:16Speaker 2: have a job, I didn't have a place to stay.
- 17:19Speaker 2: And then you know, two weeks, two weeks later, I
- 17:25Speaker 2: was getting a job. And then that next week it
- 17:28Speaker 2: was like, hey, you've been approved for an apartment. Let's
- 17:30Speaker 2: go ahead and move. And so I literally started my
- 17:34Speaker 2: new job, got my keys the same day, and got
- 17:38Speaker 2: everything moved in. So definitely, I mean.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Not even a step, but definitely a move in faith.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Well, and it's definitely a leap of faith. And hey,
- 17:50Speaker 2: it was uncomfortable because again October, by October again my
- 17:54Speaker 2: lease was up November thirtieth. I was uncomfortable, like I
- 17:59Speaker 2: was forced to. I mean it was on me, but
- 18:03Speaker 2: I mean I was in a familiar place. Like you said,
- 18:06Speaker 2: how can you leave your friends and you've established your
- 18:10Speaker 2: job and relationships. That was all familiar and I wasn't
- 18:16Speaker 2: going to Unfortunately, I wasn't seeing myself going anywhere else where.
- 18:23Speaker 4: Was that And.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Because it's easy to stay where you are because it's familiar, right.
- 18:31Speaker 2: But yeah, but with that comfort that holds you back
- 18:38Speaker 2: from the river and the wilderness that God's promising for you.
- 18:41Speaker 2: So for me, that ship's holding that ship was excuse me,
- 18:45Speaker 2: that was holding me back from being able to do
- 18:48Speaker 2: what I needed to do. I knew I couldn't go
- 18:50Speaker 2: anywhere else in my job. There was no room for growth.
- 18:54Speaker 2: That was it. There was like one in my apartment.
- 18:58Speaker 2: There was no other where. There was nowhere else I
- 19:01Speaker 2: could go for the convenience. Again, so I decided. I
- 19:06Speaker 2: was like, you know what, there's nothing else left for me.
- 19:09Speaker 2: I have to go. And unfortunately that was a little
- 19:11Speaker 2: bit uncomfortable, a little bit because again I didn't know
- 19:14Speaker 2: where I was going. I didn't know where I was
- 19:15Speaker 2: going to move. I didn't know where I was going
- 19:17Speaker 2: to live. I didn't know where I was going to work.
- 19:19Speaker 2: I didn't know how my cats were going to get fed,
- 19:21Speaker 2: how I was going to live, you know how my
- 19:23Speaker 2: car is.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Going to get gonna get fed?
- 19:27Speaker 3: Okay, But the ground thing about the great thing about that,
- 19:31Speaker 3: and I think you and I have talked about this before, about.
- 19:34Speaker 4: Being pushed into a blessing.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Yeah, determine where it's been said that you know, every
- 19:41Speaker 3: blessing that that this person had, they had to be
- 19:45Speaker 3: pushed into its blessing. There hasn't been a blessing yet
- 19:50Speaker 3: that I hadn't had to be pushed into. Right, But
- 19:54Speaker 3: what I do like is is you stating how when
- 19:58Speaker 3: you took the steps, things were allotted and open to you.
- 20:06Speaker 3: That is the main thing that we want to talk
- 20:09Speaker 3: about when we're when we're centering around a new thing.
- 20:13Speaker 3: See when God says, and that's why we highlighted that
- 20:16Speaker 3: he said, I am doing a new thing.
- 20:19Speaker 4: Do you not receive it? Oh?
- 20:21Speaker 3: Yeah, you got to receive it. You got to receive
- 20:22Speaker 3: that stuff in your spirit. You gotta walk it and
- 20:25Speaker 3: talk it like you know it, like it's.
- 20:28Speaker 2: I had to talk like I was moving the phoenix.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I told everybody. Jazz was.
- 20:34Speaker 3: I was so excited. I don't I get to talk
- 20:36Speaker 3: about the parts I didn't know about. And I was
- 20:38Speaker 3: privy too. But it got to a point where, you know,
- 20:42Speaker 3: me and Jazz were like, it's time to start packing.
- 20:44Speaker 3: She didn't know where she was going to know what
- 20:46Speaker 3: to do. We found out that, you know, the not
- 20:51Speaker 3: knowing sometimes is the best place to be because it
- 20:55Speaker 3: is God that's preparing the new thing for you, not you.
- 20:58Speaker 3: So her being totally vulnerable and being comfortable and confident
- 21:05Speaker 3: in the unknown left her completely dependent on God's will
- 21:12Speaker 3: and packed and she started doing the things that that
- 21:16Speaker 3: had her moving towards the vision, and then the door
- 21:22Speaker 3: started opening. And that's definitely what we're talking about tonight
- 21:26Speaker 3: is recognizing a new thing, recognizing when you're getting that nudge,
- 21:30Speaker 3: Recognizing when you're you're in a place that you can't
- 21:33Speaker 3: grow anywhere else.
- 21:35Speaker 4: In you can't do anything else with.
- 21:37Speaker 3: And sometimes you know, when we talked about how sometimes
- 21:41Speaker 3: a setback.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Is a is a room.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Yeah, and you know, God is gonna do all types
- 21:49Speaker 3: of things that we have no idea about. But that's
- 21:52Speaker 3: where the dress comes in. So it is very important
- 21:55Speaker 3: that we go ahead and and be okay with change.
- 21:58Speaker 3: One thing I said or one thing I stand on
- 22:01Speaker 3: is one thing that's inevitable. It's changed, right and so
- 22:05Speaker 3: but the other thing that's inevitable is God's plan.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Yep. And I like change, Like I've never been that
- 22:12Speaker 2: person that was like hate when things still wrong blah blah,
- 22:15Speaker 2: blood like.
- 22:18Speaker 4: You are the person that's okay with a three year
- 22:21Speaker 4: layover hot.
- 22:24Speaker 2: I wasn't okay with it, but I mean I thought
- 22:28Speaker 2: things was gonna go differently. I went out there for family,
- 22:32Speaker 2: and the family did what it did, and then it
- 22:35Speaker 2: was like, okay, well, well now it's time for me
- 22:38Speaker 2: to do.
- 22:38Speaker 3: What I do. But God always has a plan. Hey,
- 22:43Speaker 3: you know, while we're working on our plan whatever. And
- 22:47Speaker 3: as our guest Carleen just said, when it's God's will,
- 22:50Speaker 3: everything will fall into place.
- 22:54Speaker 4: And I mean, yes, it will be done.
- 22:56Speaker 3: And if you're completely rebellious of his will and you
- 23:00Speaker 3: don't want to be obedient, then you go ahead and
- 23:02Speaker 3: live the life that you you know, got to settle for.
- 23:06Speaker 3: One of the things I'm just talking to my sister
- 23:09Speaker 3: the other day about, I'm standing on obedient twins.
- 23:13Speaker 4: I've tried it my way.
- 23:14Speaker 3: And I was also talking to a cousin of mine
- 23:16Speaker 3: the other day, but she said, you know, we've tried
- 23:18Speaker 3: it our way, and we try to do these things
- 23:20Speaker 3: and whatever, and we ultimately come back to.
- 23:24Speaker 4: Okay, God, let it be your will, your way.
- 23:26Speaker 3: And I told her, I said, you know how much
- 23:28Speaker 3: time we waste when we know we're gonna come back
- 23:30Speaker 3: to that. I mean, the word says God. What you
- 23:32Speaker 3: don't know is what you do know and you don't apply.
- 23:34Speaker 3: So what we do know is His will will be
- 23:36Speaker 3: done right. So if we're trying something on our own,
- 23:39Speaker 3: and I know we're getting the nudges, we're getting the signs,
- 23:44Speaker 3: we're getting the feelings that it's time to go and
- 23:47Speaker 3: it's time to do it, and it's really hard for
- 23:51Speaker 3: us to break away and do those things.
- 23:53Speaker 2: I believe.
- 23:54Speaker 3: On one of the entrepreneurship shows, I talk talked about
- 23:58Speaker 3: how and Angela had made a point about how we're
- 24:02Speaker 3: so used to not used to, but we know what
- 24:05Speaker 3: failure feels like.
- 24:07Speaker 4: We've fallen.
- 24:08Speaker 3: We tried some stuff, and we've gone after certain things
- 24:11Speaker 3: that we kind of thought we could grasp onto and
- 24:14Speaker 3: we failed till we know what that feels like. But
- 24:16Speaker 3: when we start to step into a new thing, into
- 24:18Speaker 3: a new venture, it starts to get scary because you know,
- 24:24Speaker 3: we don't know what either that failure is gonna feel
- 24:27Speaker 3: like or that success is gonna feel like. Yeah, sometimes,
- 24:31Speaker 3: I mean, you got to know that God is in control.
- 24:34Speaker 3: So while we are talking about that new thing, and
- 24:37Speaker 3: I've just I've been so excited about all the new
- 24:40Speaker 3: things going on.
- 24:41Speaker 4: Jazz has done moving and she's gotten a new job, and.
- 24:43Speaker 3: There's still some more details in there that we just
- 24:46Speaker 3: don't have all the time to talk about. Yeah, as
- 24:49Speaker 3: far as I'm concerned, I'm just gonna throw this in
- 24:51Speaker 3: there real quick that you know, I'm stepping into a
- 24:54Speaker 3: new thing. I guess, I guess, excuse me, I guess
- 24:58Speaker 3: I'm trying to say that I'm actually step up out
- 25:02Speaker 3: into a new thing where I am trying to be
- 25:05Speaker 3: more interactive. You know, I'm really kind of quietest, kept
- 25:08Speaker 3: type of person, which is really weird for this podcast.
- 25:12Speaker 3: This was something totally new for me, but it was
- 25:14Speaker 3: something that God told me to do, and.
- 25:16Speaker 4: It has really been flourishing.
- 25:19Speaker 3: I've had some some setbacks, I've had some downfalls, I've
- 25:25Speaker 3: had some bad breaks, you know, But as I've said,
- 25:28Speaker 3: that's my story, not the whole story. My story is
- 25:31Speaker 3: full of wysey wooos, and it's got some bad breaks,
- 25:34Speaker 3: and it's got some tears and some fears. With the
- 25:37Speaker 3: whole story is that God showed up for every one
- 25:40Speaker 3: of them, got it showed up for everything. I can
- 25:44Speaker 3: no longer just tell my story without telling the whole story.
- 25:46Speaker 3: So even with that being said, it's just been some
- 25:49Speaker 3: different things going on. I've met some great people. I've
- 25:52Speaker 3: been able to be invited to some tables that I
- 25:55Speaker 3: never thought i'd be invited to. I've been, you know,
- 26:00Speaker 3: just doing some events that I wouldn't have.
- 26:03Speaker 4: Just I guess sought out myself.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no.
- 26:08Speaker 3: I just went to the Black Girl Art Show where
- 26:10Speaker 3: I volunteered to do some things there, and that was
- 26:13Speaker 3: not my bag. I volunteered for a totally different reason
- 26:17Speaker 3: that was not for me. But one thing I am
- 26:21Speaker 3: learning and seeing very plain and simply is what God
- 26:24Speaker 3: has for me is for me. So what might seem
- 26:27Speaker 3: coincidental is actually ordained. It is out, it is what
- 26:34Speaker 3: it needs to be. So I'm also seeing that, as
- 26:37Speaker 3: Jazz stated, when you start to take a step, how
- 26:40Speaker 3: things just open. I was just talking to my daughter
- 26:43Speaker 3: the other day about how it's getting so that every
- 26:46Speaker 3: time I take a step towards something, there's something to
- 26:50Speaker 3: meet me halfway to keep me going.
- 26:53Speaker 4: Yep.
- 26:53Speaker 3: Maybe that's God knowing me and he knows that I'll
- 26:55Speaker 3: get weary after a minute. He's like, Okay, Shanna, I
- 26:58Speaker 3: know once you get halfway, you're gonna start looking looking
- 27:00Speaker 3: around for you know, signs and limb that God knows
- 27:05Speaker 3: me though, you know what I mean, to the point
- 27:07Speaker 3: where that he's not really accommodating, but he's.
- 27:09Speaker 4: Supporting me and he's making sure that he walks with me.
- 27:12Speaker 3: So let that be some encouragement to somebody today that
- 27:15Speaker 3: you may not want to take that step. It may
- 27:17Speaker 3: seem fresh and new and scary, but it's most likely time.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Our our Procrastinator episode the Patient Procrastinator, it gave some
- 27:30Speaker 3: great points about being patient, and it gave some some
- 27:33Speaker 3: points about being a procrastinator, and so you definitely don't
- 27:38Speaker 3: want to get stuck. You want to keep keep talking,
- 27:42Speaker 3: keep doing something. So I'm so glad that God is
- 27:45Speaker 3: doing these new things for us. Jazz is moving, moving
- 27:48Speaker 3: literally states into another state, and.
- 27:51Speaker 4: Doing moving differently in.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Her life and in my life.
- 27:59Speaker 4: But now we're gonna come collectively.
- 28:02Speaker 3: So we are excited to talk about the future of
- 28:07Speaker 3: Bad to Business. We are trying to go beyond a
- 28:13Speaker 3: just the podcast. We are trying to brand so that
- 28:15Speaker 3: we can get out into the community and hit the
- 28:17Speaker 3: pavement and really helps what we can do for the
- 28:20Speaker 3: community and get to talk to seop getting some interviews
- 28:23Speaker 3: with some some some Congress officials, things like that. Want
- 28:26Speaker 3: to get into what we can do. So we are
- 28:29Speaker 3: expanding our creativeness. We are doing a new thing with Roku.
- 28:37Speaker 3: We don't have all the details to that just yet,
- 28:39Speaker 3: so I don't want to just give a little bit.
- 28:41Speaker 3: But if you stay tuned, keep following us, keep showing
- 28:43Speaker 3: up with us, as we show up for you.
- 28:46Speaker 4: You will know about and you'll hear it first.
- 28:48Speaker 3: But but I'm really excited about that. So just different
- 28:54Speaker 3: things for the podcast and jazz. What are you what
- 28:57Speaker 3: what are you looking forward to to doing without giving
- 28:59Speaker 3: up to much of what your vision actually is for
- 29:02Speaker 3: bad to business, what are you looking forward to in
- 29:05Speaker 3: the new year.
- 29:06Speaker 2: I mean, as you've already said it, like I'm excited
- 29:10Speaker 2: to take this leap of faith with you. Like as
- 29:14Speaker 2: always we are always put that we're always doing it,
- 29:18Speaker 2: you know, yep, no question, And it's the definition of
- 29:23Speaker 2: practicing what we preach, right, we are always talking about
- 29:26Speaker 2: doing new Well, we're doing new things and we're actually
- 29:30Speaker 2: doing it like it's scary. But at the same time,
- 29:34Speaker 2: this is probably going to be one of the best
- 29:36Speaker 2: things ever. And I mean we're embracing the new things
- 29:41Speaker 2: so that we can bring you guys, a bigger, better,
- 29:45Speaker 2: bad business. Okay, I'm ready, I'm ready. I'm excited. I'm excited.
- 29:54Speaker 3: And just you know, we've touched on it a little bit.
- 29:58Speaker 3: We haven't really dove into it or made it a
- 30:00Speaker 3: whole conversation, but we will be moving networks and again
- 30:07Speaker 3: we will follow up with that and give you the
- 30:09Speaker 3: links and stuff like that. But we are so appreciative
- 30:12Speaker 3: to Queen Angela and the Crew podcast for having us
- 30:16Speaker 3: on here and mentoring and you know, teaching us the
- 30:18Speaker 3: ropes about a whole lot of things. And I believe
- 30:22Speaker 3: that it is because of the queens that I have
- 30:24Speaker 3: come in contact with and been able to engage with
- 30:28Speaker 3: and learn from that we are able to do a
- 30:31Speaker 3: new things. I don't even believe that God wanted us
- 30:34Speaker 3: to stay in one place, but the Queen, Miss Visionary herself,
- 30:39Speaker 3: Miss Angela, has been so very supportive along with the
- 30:42Speaker 3: other queens of the podcast, and I.
- 30:45Speaker 4: Mean, we're all doing new things.
- 30:47Speaker 3: I think twenty twenty six is really just bringing out
- 30:50Speaker 3: a lot of new things in people. I think we've
- 30:53Speaker 3: seen that the old things and the old habits and
- 30:56Speaker 3: the old ways just are not working, or if they
- 30:59Speaker 3: were working, can they worked for that time? So when
- 31:02Speaker 3: God says I'm doing a new thing, like do you
- 31:05Speaker 3: tell God hold up? I'm cool with what I got,
- 31:10Speaker 3: like a new thing?
- 31:12Speaker 4: What's wrong with the old thing? Like?
- 31:13Speaker 2: Do you do you contest?
- 31:15Speaker 4: You know?
- 31:17Speaker 3: This is very This has been a I mean, it's
- 31:22Speaker 3: it's I can't even call it overwhelming. Really, it's just
- 31:25Speaker 3: been divine intervention and connection from God the way his.
- 31:30Speaker 4: Will done, and we're just not play with that.
- 31:32Speaker 3: So where I am doing a new thing in my
- 31:36Speaker 3: life individually, trying to get out there and speak a
- 31:38Speaker 3: little bit more and show up in front of camera
- 31:40Speaker 3: and really show y'all my personality because you know, like
- 31:43Speaker 3: I said, at the beginning of the year, I lost
- 31:44Speaker 3: my dad and it was a little hard for me
- 31:46Speaker 3: to really get excited about what I was doing or
- 31:49Speaker 3: even try to do some exciting things. Coming to the
- 31:52Speaker 3: end of the year and coming on an anniversary of
- 31:54Speaker 3: his I don't want to be doing the same old thing. Yes,
- 31:59Speaker 3: So there's nowhere in the scriptures or even in my
- 32:02Speaker 3: life where it says the same old thing is gonna
- 32:04Speaker 3: be that great? Okay, So when God is talking about
- 32:10Speaker 3: He is doing this new thing for us.
- 32:14Speaker 4: I'm I'm very excited about it.
- 32:17Speaker 3: I know that sometimes going into a new thing can
- 32:19Speaker 3: be scary, but it's worth it. I'm so glad to
- 32:25Speaker 3: have you with me, Jazz and knowing what's going on.
- 32:27Speaker 3: And you know, it's definitely That's why I said, I
- 32:31Speaker 3: think it's more than a leap of faith. I think
- 32:33Speaker 3: we're actually diving into where we're talking to God a lot,
- 32:37Speaker 3: and we're asking him for a lot of guidance and
- 32:42Speaker 3: being protected in some things, and we're just doing a
- 32:46Speaker 3: whole lot of new things ourselfs And I think that
- 32:49Speaker 3: and looking back, we're really fueled by God doing a
- 32:52Speaker 3: new thing. This this, this is not you know, it's
- 32:55Speaker 3: it's new to us, but true to him. Yep, that's
- 32:59Speaker 3: constantly a new thing with him. We don't have things
- 33:02Speaker 3: with him. So if you find yourself doing something old
- 33:05Speaker 3: in twenty twenty six, you didn't.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Get the memo. You didn't get it.
- 33:12Speaker 3: So here's the memo that Jazz and I are delivering
- 33:15Speaker 3: on this podcast this evening, is that God is doing
- 33:19Speaker 3: a new thing. Have you not received it? Have you
- 33:21Speaker 3: not received the memo that He's doing a new thing.
- 33:24Speaker 3: So if you didn't here, it is okay. So now
- 33:26Speaker 3: God is waiting on you to apply.
- 33:29Speaker 2: What you do. No now so yeah yeah.
- 33:32Speaker 3: But so, like I said, the future of Bad to
- 33:34Speaker 3: Business will be one on a new network and two
- 33:38Speaker 3: you will see just some new things going.
- 33:40Speaker 4: On with us new ventures.
- 33:41Speaker 3: Since Jazz is Jazz and I are not in the
- 33:43Speaker 3: same state, but since Jazz is on the West coast
- 33:47Speaker 3: and I am on the East coast.
- 33:48Speaker 4: One there's a time difference.
- 33:51Speaker 3: But two, because of that time difference, people difference, life difference,
- 33:56Speaker 3: we will be doing different things. But it is all
- 34:00Speaker 3: buying to making Bad to Business everything it needs to
- 34:03Speaker 3: be by bringing all diverse discussions to the table, whatever
- 34:08Speaker 3: the discussions may be. If there's something that you like
- 34:10Speaker 3: to talk about, we extend the invite right now. But
- 34:15Speaker 3: because we are a diverse discussion type of podcast, we
- 34:19Speaker 3: are not limited to things, which is another reason why
- 34:22Speaker 3: we are trying to make a creative move to kind
- 34:24Speaker 3: of expand on our creative freedom. Jazz and I have
- 34:27Speaker 3: talked about some different things that, like I said, we
- 34:29Speaker 3: want to do individually and collectively, but it's all under
- 34:33Speaker 3: one umbrella to make sure that bad to business is
- 34:35Speaker 3: as successful as God has intended it to be. So
- 34:39Speaker 3: we just want to invite everybody to continue to follow us.
- 34:43Speaker 3: So when that new link drops and all the new
- 34:46Speaker 3: informations drops, you're able to follow us and you know,
- 34:52Speaker 3: just receive that new thing.
- 34:54Speaker 4: I'm excited to see.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Some of the things you got going on, because again,
- 34:56Speaker 3: Jazz is in a totally different state. So sometimes we talk,
- 35:00Speaker 3: but sometimes I gotta wait too.
- 35:02Speaker 4: But the good thing is is what I'm doing while
- 35:06Speaker 4: I'm waiting, yep.
- 35:09Speaker 3: Is myself. So I love to be equally yoked with you, Jazz.
- 35:13Speaker 3: It has been a pleasure doing all these new these
- 35:18Speaker 3: other things with you because right at one point, at
- 35:20Speaker 3: one point, the things we were doing this podcast is new.
- 35:23Speaker 3: God was doing a new thing when he had me
- 35:25Speaker 3: find miss Angela and she opened up a door for
- 35:28Speaker 3: me and taught me so many things. And now what
- 35:30Speaker 3: he's saying is it's time to forget the former things.
- 35:35Speaker 3: And like Jazz, who had to leave relationships and friendships
- 35:39Speaker 3: and workships and all.
- 35:42Speaker 4: Those ships he had to jump from.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Uh, she jumped.
- 35:46Speaker 4: She jumped ships, y'all.
- 35:47Speaker 2: She jumps.
- 35:49Speaker 3: And we have just fell deeply obedient with what our
- 35:55Speaker 3: purpose is called Our feelings may change, but our purpose doesn't.
- 35:58Speaker 3: So I said, the future of bad To business is
- 36:02Speaker 3: to be continued. I we will. We will be dropping
- 36:06Speaker 3: some links on how to follow us and how you
- 36:09Speaker 3: can follow what we're doing and stuff. But I definitely
- 36:12Speaker 3: can promise you that it won't be the same old thing,
- 36:18Speaker 3: not be the same old thing. I am not the
- 36:19Speaker 3: same old Shining. Jazzy is not the same old Jazzy.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Okay, I am.
- 36:25Speaker 4: So excited about Jazzy.
- 36:27Speaker 3: And if if Jazzy knows what direction I'm headed in,
- 36:31Speaker 3: I'm sure she's pretty excited.
- 36:32Speaker 4: About Shining too.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Pretty exciting.
- 36:38Speaker 3: As we round this up, we just wanted to and
- 36:41Speaker 3: extend some love and some support and let everybody know
- 36:45Speaker 3: that God is doing a new thing. So forget those
- 36:48Speaker 3: things a former. Don't feel like you're missing out on anything.
- 36:51Speaker 3: If God is telling you to move, it's because what
- 36:54Speaker 3: what was.
- 36:55Speaker 4: Is no longer going to serve you purpose.
- 36:57Speaker 3: So make sure that you are following and being gonna
- 36:59Speaker 3: be here and don't listen to the noise around you
- 37:02Speaker 3: because somebody will tell you to stay where comfortable is.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Yo. I've heard that so many times. You gotta go
- 37:09Speaker 2: do it.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Let that be a sign that when you're telling If
- 37:14Speaker 3: you decide to tell somebody that you're doing a new thing,
- 37:17Speaker 3: the first person that says, I don't think, go.
- 37:22Speaker 4: Get in your rocket and go right.
- 37:26Speaker 3: But again, as we are rounding this up because we
- 37:29Speaker 3: don't want to take up too much time, we still
- 37:31Speaker 3: have so much more in store and coming for you guys,
- 37:34Speaker 3: So please catch us on the next episode of Bad
- 37:37Speaker 3: to Business, which will be on December twenty eighth, Sunday
- 37:40Speaker 3: at eight pm, same time, same place.
- 37:42Speaker 4: But won't be the same conversation.
- 37:44Speaker 3: I promise you that we will be coming to the
