- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here. And in this episode of The
- 0:43Hypnotist, you're going to be listening to a very metaphorical
- 0:48hypnosis session that. Utilizes a story.
- 0:53From Greek mythology based on the the myth.
- 1:00Of the Gordian. Knot now the Gordian knot was
- 1:04meant to be a knot that was so intricate and complex that it
- 1:09was impossible to untie and for hundreds.
- 1:13Of years. Many people had attempted to
- 1:16untie the knot but could never do it.
- 1:19It's one of these things that the more you try to untie it,
- 1:23the more tangled it becomes. And if you've ever had the
- 1:27experience of trying. To go.
- 1:30Through an old box or a bag of old.
- 1:33Electrical. Cables and find the one you want
- 1:35then you've probably got a a tiny essence of what the Gordian
- 1:39knot is all about and in Greek mythology there is this idea
- 1:45that eventually. That well whoever solved the
- 1:50the. Gordian Knot would be the.
- 1:52Ruler of Asia. And legend has it that Alexander
- 1:56the Great was encountered and shown the Gordian Knot and
- 2:01instead of trying to untangle it, he just got out.
- 2:04A big sword. And chopped it into and that's
- 2:06what untangled the knot. And this becomes a metaphor for
- 2:11how an unconventional, unusual solution to a problem can
- 2:16actually solve the problem. So it's used as a metaphor for
- 2:20this particular client because. They had about 3 or 4.
- 2:24Complex problems that they were dealing with in their life.
- 2:28And the great thing? About a metaphor is that it maps
- 2:30across to whatever The thing is that is most concerning to you
- 2:34at this particular point in time.
- 2:36So they had issues with. Pain they had.
- 2:39Issues with. A complicated identity shift
- 2:43that they were. Going.
- 2:44Through there was always this element.
- 2:46Of a project. That was quite complicated to
- 2:48get off the ground so many of these problems.
- 2:51Feel like unsolvable problems? Like a Gordian knot.
- 2:56So it has that metaphorical element and it's designed to
- 3:00bring about this element of solving it in new, novel,
- 3:04creative and surprising ways. So I would encourage you.
- 3:09To get the best. Out of this session, to think of
- 3:13the most challenging problem that you're facing in your life
- 3:16right now. So that when you hear the
- 3:18session talking about the knot, that that's the thing that the
- 3:22knot represents. And this is called priming.
- 3:25So you are priming for the metaphor.
- 3:27To be more. Useful for you.
- 3:30So think about the biggest, most complicated problem you're
- 3:32facing right now before the hypnosis session starts, and
- 3:35then you'll get more out of this session.
- 3:38And if you do like the idea of working with me directly,
- 3:41creating a session specifically for you and what you're going
- 3:44through right now, there will be a link in the show notes where
- 3:47you can schedule that free consultation call to explore.
- 3:49What it? Would be.
- 3:50Like to work? With me directly for now though,
- 3:53find a quiet, comfortable place where.
- 3:54You won't be. Disturbed, relax and enjoy the
- 3:58session. Take a deep breath in and as you
- 5:30breathe. In.
- 5:33Breathe in a feeling of calm relaxation, and as you exhale,
- 5:43just get a sense that feelings of tension, stress or worries
- 5:52are starting to leave your body in your outward breath.
- 6:03And the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you become.
- 6:08And the more relaxed you become, the deeper you breathe.
- 6:17So allow your body to find that comfortable position.
- 6:25Give yourself permission to relax completely, and as you
- 6:34settle in, notice how your breathing gets longer and
- 6:40deeper, intentional and yet effortless as you feel the rise
- 6:49and fall of your chest, and with each breath you get a sense that
- 6:56your body is becoming more relaxed and more calm.
- 7:05As your body relaxes, your imagination awakens.
- 7:09And I want you to imagine a lush, serene garden on a warm
- 7:16spring day. Imagine the air is fresh, the
- 7:22sky is clear, and a gentle breeze brushes against your
- 7:28skin. Maybe you notice a large ancient
- 7:34tree ahead, its roots brawling out the branches reaching
- 7:41towards the sky. But given that this is just your
- 7:49imagination, I want you to notice something unusual,
- 7:57strange, perhaps even extraordinary.
- 8:03Towards the base of the tree. I want you to see a huge,
- 8:09intricate knot, so complex and tangled that it seems to defy
- 8:17logic. I want you to imagine that you
- 8:26are looking at the Gordian knot, a puzzle so complicated that no
- 8:38one has been able to untangle the knot for centuries.
- 8:45But imagine walking closer to the knot.
- 8:50You notice the texture, ropes winding and twisting, entangling
- 8:56in every direction. As you stare into the knot, you
- 9:04acknowledge that it does seem unsolvable, an insurmountable
- 9:12challenge that holds the key to something greater, something
- 9:19extraordinary. And as you stand before the
- 9:24knot, you realise this is no ordinary challenge.
- 9:32This knot represents a particular part of your life, a
- 9:41problem to solve. Maybe it's something you've been
- 9:47struggling to overcome, a part of your identity to shift, a
- 9:57pain that seems like it won't go away.
- 10:03Or maybe a task or a goal that just seems to be out of reach
- 10:13soon. As you stare into the knot, take
- 10:15a deep breath. And as you breathe in, imagine
- 10:22the clarity of your mind becoming sharper and sharper.
- 10:29And as you breathe out, allow any tension or doubt to melt
- 10:34away. And in doing so, you release the
- 10:39weight of uncertainty, and maybe you notice that the more you
- 10:46focus, the clearer the path forward becomes.
- 10:53I wonder if you could imagine what it would feel like to stand
- 10:58on the threshold of an incredible discovery.
- 11:07Because the Gaul, the Gordian knot before you, feels powerful,
- 11:14it's complexity undeniable. But you also notice something
- 11:24It's tightness. The way it pulls in all
- 11:29directions no longer seems as daunting as it once did.
- 11:36Each loop, each twist of the knot, seems to hold an energy of
- 11:43its own. With each breath, the puzzle
- 11:50becomes clearer and more manageable.
- 11:57As you continue to breathe deeply, I wonder if you can
- 12:02notice the sensation of strength beginning to grow within you,
- 12:08expanding from your centre and radiating outward.
- 12:15Every fibre of your being is aligned with your true power and
- 12:23this not doesn't just represent the struggles of your life, it
- 12:29now represents your ability to face challenges head on with
- 12:36confidence and decisiveness. As you breathe in and breathe
- 12:43out, you may now begin to feel your connection to this puzzle
- 12:49shift. You feel grounded, strong,
- 12:55centred, ready to face whatever lies ahead.
- 13:06And I want you to think of the biggest problem that you're
- 13:10facing right now. And maybe you think of that
- 13:15problem in the same way that Alexander the Great looked at
- 13:24the Gordian knot when he was presented with that unsolvable
- 13:32problem. What if there is no need to
- 13:36untangle it in the conventional way, no need to painstakingly
- 13:43work through each twist and turn?
- 13:48Imagine in your hands you hold a sword of clarity, a symbol of
- 13:55your inner power, your strength, and your decisive action.
- 14:06As you raise this sword, you understand that sometimes the
- 14:11best solution to a challenge isn't about forcing your way
- 14:17through, but instead about having the courage to do
- 14:22something bold, something unconventional.
- 14:28So with one swift, powerful motion, imagine cutting through
- 14:34the knot in one swish of your sword.
- 14:42As the strands fall away, you experience a sense of release.
- 14:51The weight of uncertainty is lifted.
- 14:55The knot, this complex, unsolvable puzzle, has been
- 15:01dissolved. You are free and in that freedom
- 15:08you realise something powerful. What if you now have the
- 15:14strength to face any problem, any obstacle, with that same
- 15:22unconventional courage? You understand that within you
- 15:29is the ability to tackle challenges head on, not by
- 15:34overthinking, but by taking decisive action, trusting your
- 15:42instinct, and knowing that you are capable of more than you
- 15:48can't have ever imagined. As the Gordian knot unravels
- 15:57before you feel a deep sense of empowerment surge through you.
- 16:07You now realise that you never know how high you are till you
- 16:16are called to rise. And what if this is your moment
- 16:22to rise? That with every challenge you
- 16:26face, you grow stronger, more authentic, more powerful.
- 16:34That you are no longer afraid of the twists and turns in life.
- 16:40That you know that you have the strength within you to rise to
- 16:46meet the moment with boldness and clarity.
- 16:52And maybe you can create an image of Carl Jung in front of
- 16:57you. Imagine Carl saying the
- 17:03privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.
- 17:10And as you hear those words, feel your body, soul and mind
- 17:16vibrating as you embrace the full spectrum of your being, the
- 17:22light and the dark, the bold and the quiet, the powerful and the
- 17:31vulnerable, You are authentic in all your forms.
- 17:41As you come to the conclusion that you are whole, you come to
- 17:52the conclusion that that which does not kill us makes us
- 17:58stronger. Every challenge, every step
- 18:01back, every moment of struggle has only made you stronger.
- 18:10But because you have a powerful why, you are able to deal with
- 18:17any of the hows. You are not diminished by
- 18:21difficulties, you are empowered by them.
- 18:26Feel that you are unshakeable, unbreakable and unstoppable.
- 18:37Perhaps you could imagine Bruce Lee entering the room.
- 18:46I want you to get a sense that there is a sense of deep wisdom
- 18:52within. Hear him say the words that what
- 19:01if you were to absorb what is useful, discard what is not, and
- 19:07then add what is your neatly your own.
- 19:12I want you to get a sense that there is wisdom in books, in
- 19:19minds, in the collective conscious and unconscious, and
- 19:28you have the wisdom and the power to take what you need from
- 19:32each experience, each lesson, each source of wisdom, and mould
- 19:38it into your own authentic self. You are limitless in your
- 19:45potential. So now allow yourself to begin
- 19:55walking forward, feeling the duality of the energy of the
- 20:02light and the dark within you. Embrace them both, for they are
- 20:09part of you. And as you move forward, you
- 20:16notice that you are walking in a beautiful landscape.
- 20:20Bathed in the golden glow of the sun, you feel invigorated, full
- 20:28of vitality and completely at peace with yourself right here,
- 20:36right now. You are free of pain.
- 20:40Age does not exist, you are limitless and you realise that
- 20:48you have the power to create your own path to shape your life
- 20:55with the energy you possess as you acknowledge that you are
- 21:01healthy, vibrant and powerful and every step you take
- 21:08strengthens your connection to your true self.
- 21:13Feel that the light journey that you are on is one of
- 21:18empowerment, authenticity and strength.
- 21:25So take a moment now to bask in the energy of all of your life
- 21:32successes that have and will be. Feel your body, mind and spirit
- 21:42aligned, energized, and fully alive.
- 21:53As you breathe in and breathe out, you return to the spring
- 21:57garden, the ancient tree, and I want you to see that even though
- 22:06you solved the Gordian knot, a new Gordian knot now exists.
- 22:14I want you to get a sense that life will always present you
- 22:21with what can feel like unsolvable problems.
- 22:28But I want you to get a sense that you now have the deep
- 22:35belief that even an unsolvable problem has a unique,
- 22:43unconventional solution. And as you hold that thought,
- 22:50whatever the challenge is, whatever the issue is, whatever
- 22:56the pain is, you now frame it as a problem that will inevitably
- 23:05find an unconventional solution. So breathe in and breathe out as
- 23:15it's time to return back to the here and the now feeling
- 23:19invigorated, healthy, free of pain and full of hope and 100%
- 23:26authentic. Take a deep breath in through
- 23:30your nose and out through your nose.
- 23:35Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 23:37Start to connect and calibrate with the here and the now as I
- 23:44now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 23:48Starting to count 123 waking up 456 more alert 7-8.
- 23:58Open your eyes. Open your eyes 910 Wide awake,
- 24:03Wide awake. Wide awake.
