- 0:00Speaker 1: Time out for back to the basics in healthcare with
- 0:02Speaker 1: balanced life chiropractic. And we have doctor Harley with us,
- 0:04Speaker 1: and we're working our way down the spine, aren't we.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Yeah, we are on week three, so that means we
- 0:09Speaker 2: are on see three exactly. And the scene, remember stands
- 0:13Speaker 2: for cervical spine, which is another name for our neck.
- 0:17Speaker 1: So this is this is the third one down from
- 0:20Speaker 1: the top.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Yep So areas that these nerve supplies would be like
- 0:24Speaker 2: the cheeks, the outer ear, the facebones, the teeth, and
- 0:27Speaker 2: the trifacial nerve are also known as the trigeminal nerve.
- 0:31Speaker 2: That one if you think, it splits into three, so
- 0:33Speaker 2: it goes down the front of our jaw, across our cheek,
- 0:36Speaker 2: and above our forehead.
- 0:37Speaker 1: So what are some things I would be experiencing as
- 0:40Speaker 1: a person if I was having some issues with C three.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Three We're not a little more about the trigeminal nerve
- 0:46Speaker 2: because it can cause trigeminal neualgia, so really sharp pain
- 0:50Speaker 2: into the face. Someone that has something like this, even
- 0:54Speaker 2: just like a light brush of the face, if someone's
- 0:56Speaker 2: having trigeminal neualgia, can be extreme pain. And this is
- 1:01Speaker 2: a really kind of insufferable condition for someone to deal with,
- 1:05Speaker 2: because it doesn't take much to cause really severe pain
- 1:08Speaker 2: with that tridamnal neualgia. But a really great thing is
- 1:11Speaker 2: chiropractic can help with that particular issue nice.
- 1:15Speaker 1: And this is something that when you're doing that adjustment,
- 1:19Speaker 1: you're doing it back here on my back or you're
- 1:20Speaker 1: doing it up here on my.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Face, it would be adjusting in your neck that C
- 1:24Speaker 2: three if that is the one that's stuck in out
- 1:26Speaker 2: of alignment causing that getting that moving better, taking that
- 1:29Speaker 2: pressure off the nerve is going to help desensitize that nerve,
- 1:32Speaker 2: you know, get it back to being less overactive and
- 1:35Speaker 2: less irritative, which can be leading to some of those issues.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Other things can be in aritois skin like acne issues
- 1:42Speaker 2: or even eximum.
- 1:44Speaker 1: And that's all from C.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Three, So a little bit more of like the face
- 1:47Speaker 2: skin outer aspect, not so much of like the inner.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Very cool, that's awesome. It's been kind of fun to
- 1:53Speaker 1: go through. And I'm looking on this chart here, there's
- 1:55Speaker 1: a lot more to go. So but if you missed
- 1:59Speaker 1: C one onner C two, we had those the last
- 2:01Speaker 1: couple of weeks and I bet we're gonna do like
- 2:03Speaker 1: C four next week.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Right right, And looking at our list, you know some
- 2:06Speaker 2: of the other ones maybe don't have as much big
- 2:09Speaker 2: stuff going on. You'll see one C two those are
- 2:11Speaker 2: our really big heavy hitters, as that's right where the
- 2:14Speaker 2: brainstorms hanging out, So there's a lot more things that
- 2:17Speaker 2: can get disrupted with misalignments in there. Three sits kind
- 2:20Speaker 2: of talked right underneath SE two. So C two, if
- 2:23Speaker 2: you feel the back of your neck, you're gonna feel
- 2:24Speaker 2: kind of like a bigger bulge underneath the base of
- 2:27Speaker 2: your head. That's C two. Now C three sits right
- 2:29Speaker 2: underneath it. See, don't always feel it because it's tucked
- 2:32Speaker 2: underneath that guy, but it.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Can cause some issues if there's out of alignment there exactly.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Yeah, And as we go through, each of one of
- 2:38Speaker 2: these will have specific things that can be more related
- 2:42Speaker 2: to that area being off, but also they're going to
- 2:45Speaker 2: kind of go hand in hand. They all kind of
- 2:46Speaker 2: work together. So if C two is off, it can
- 2:49Speaker 2: affect things that would normally affect C three or vice versa,
- 2:52Speaker 2: as they're all really interconnected.
- 2:54Speaker 1: I remember like when as a kid, the knee bone
- 2:56Speaker 1: is connected to the leg bone. But I'm looking at
- 2:58Speaker 1: all these bones that are connected. This two and the
- 3:00Speaker 1: C three and the CE one. They're all connected, and
- 3:02Speaker 1: if one is having an issue, it can cause other
- 3:04Speaker 1: issues for the others.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Exactly. Yeah, you can think of your spinal cord kind
- 3:08Speaker 2: of like a giant water hose. So if there's pressure
- 3:10Speaker 2: or a kink in one spot, it is going to
- 3:13Speaker 2: affect the areas around it as suddenly there's less communication.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Let's flow through that area, and it doesn't just get
- 3:18Speaker 2: better once it gets out of that spot.
- 3:20Speaker 1: So if somebody listening is going, I've had some issues
- 3:22Speaker 1: with this little thing, and now I'm noticing these other
- 3:25Speaker 1: little things that could be because that's causing problems with
- 3:28Speaker 1: the bone right next to it. If they would like
- 3:30Speaker 1: to come in and have you adjust those and fix those,
- 3:32Speaker 1: it's a pretty simple process. What is the first step?
- 3:35Speaker 2: Really, The first step is getting your new patient appointment scheduled.
- 3:37Speaker 2: We have morning and afternoon appointments available. Usually we have
- 3:40Speaker 2: something available during the week. Otherwise you know usually right
- 3:43Speaker 2: away the next week, so we're not usually two two
- 3:46Speaker 2: booked out for any time slots for that new patient appointment.
- 3:49Speaker 1: If somebody listening would like to make that appointment. They
- 3:51Speaker 1: just come in and see you, they call you, They
- 3:53Speaker 1: tie it to a rock and throw it in the
- 3:55Speaker 1: back window. And now that don't do that. What's the
- 3:56Speaker 1: best way to do it.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I'd rather they didn't do that. Last one. The simplest
- 4:00Speaker 2: would be just giving us a call. Our phone number
- 4:01Speaker 2: is six year o five two one five one seven
- 4:04Speaker 2: eighty five. You can reach out to us on our
