- 1:36to be here, man, like, oh you, I just really wanted
- 1:38him to get back into what he was about to say before he like,
- 1:42this is those I want to do pro you know a church people gotten told
- 1:46but let people know what voice they're hearing. So um, man, we
- 1:53what youre do? We well, we didn't know of each other yea,
- 1:56yeah we um. Our relationship started in twenty nineteen. Yeah, around the
- 2:02time my grandmother back. Yeah. I was like, it's twenty nineteen.
- 2:05I know you always remember because that was a yeah, so um gregy and
- 2:09not funny story. And when we're gonna d them getting up too, because
- 2:13I'm the top on the top about that traumatic experience. Oh don't be of
- 2:19being my manager transforming into the leader right, because I think I can.
- 2:22I think it's fair for me to say I came in a transformative time for
- 2:25you understanding from manage it. Wow. Yeah, you came at the time
- 2:30and I was transitioning from being an elite salesperson to realizing that my gift towards
- 2:37and helping King Poopa come a week. That's good. So we we're probably
- 2:40them being is today because de'sl Ray has already experienced the conversation started before the
- 2:45cameras. See this seems like just seems like what's going on. It's working

- 3:00link. The big girl, but the girl dising gimp in the show,
- 3:04y'all. Yeah, all right, So I'm gonna let you introduce yourself and
- 3:07then we're going to go back into that fertile ground no more different. Yeah,
- 3:10my name Greg Riley, Motivation to speaker, Leadership development coach. I'm
- 3:15a father, I'm a son, I'm an uncle, I'm a husband,
- 3:21I'm a brother, and all those titles are very important to me because each
- 3:23one of us do something different. And one of the things about me is
- 3:28I really believe in self development because I think that as people, we can't
- 3:31get to where we are without there. And so that's who I am.
- 3:36Yeah, so who you are. We're gonna spoll some more because my gun,
- 3:40my boy, my boy, oily And it's such a pleasure to like
- 3:46it be able to one host you on my platform, like I'm super brookol.
- 3:53So y'all, this is one Okay, y'all. When I said that
- 3:57I was gonna do just ass you were still at the branch right where you
- 4:01still at the branch transition, You were transition, okay. So I didn't
- 4:05start it until after you left, so it were it did not okay.
- 4:09So there was a lot of transition going on, all right. So his
- 4:14promotion led to my promotion, and now we get to have an even more
- 4:18unique relationship because I understand now what he was actually talking about back in the
- 4:23day. That don't don't even comment on that end, don't even come it
- 4:30out, that don't do it, don't do it, don't do it,
- 4:35don't comment on it. So h bank to the podcast. I know I've
- 4:43mentioned till you deservate last week some week ago that father Howard was pushing me
- 4:51to do the podcast and I told you, and you was like, yo,
- 4:57Jay, you gotta do it, Jess, you gotta do it.
- 4:59And I'm like, anytime I doubt myself his if he if he cust,
- 5:08he would he would cust me straight out. And that's how you can be
- 5:11starting. I mean, Greg, I don't like it at the time where
- 5:14it isn't because it's because it's a thing. Right. You have a gift
- 5:19that sometime you hesitate to believe in you, right. And I feel that
- 5:24God put people in our lives to help us find the courage to believe in
- 5:30their guilt could courage me in doing it. The phrase so we need people
- 5:33to push us to do it a phrase and you definitely did that. So
- 5:38he pushed me to the point where he got on my last nerve. This
- 5:42is one person I know I saw brought in ballot like people that support me.
- 5:46He hasn't listened and I'm not gonna get emotional. Nope, nope.
- 5:53By the place, by the place, wha um. He has listened to
- 6:01every episode, good or bad. It's true, good or bad. And
- 6:06he's the lason why I did I get some good feedback? I trust him.
- 6:11Like if if I didn't have an episode come out a j watter episode,
- 6:15is that like these a few weeks that you had to wait, I
- 6:16went here and call him and say, hey, guess what happened there?
- 6:20So I would not get a fall call of why haven't you done this?
- 6:25Right? And so I I'm so honored that you're hearing because out of every
- 6:30out all them, a lot of people in my life, do you definitely
- 6:32deserve to be your So I'm so happy that you're allowing me to host you
- 6:38on my platform and so the new support so you get to hear your voice
- 6:43on about it. It's gonna be weird. So let's get back. Let's
- 6:47tap vacanto. What we were talking about when we was talking about the last
- 6:49comment you made was basically being a mobile fertile ground. Yeah, so same
- 6:57people. They are fertile story, So they're able to walk in the presence
- 7:01of others and you immediately feel their presence and when they walk up, you
- 7:05already agitated. It's some people, when they walk into the room, your
- 7:10spirit already starts to move. And when you start to feel their agitation,
- 7:15that's the opportunity to renew and revive. Now you get the opportunity to choose.
- 7:20One of the things that I've come to realize is when somebody says something
- 7:25to me, may have good intentions or their impure person and it starts to
- 7:30agitate the way I think about things. They need to listen. Like if
- 7:33I start to feel like how may need to lean in a little bit more
- 7:38to pray to gather the understanding, so I then ant can apply the wisdom.
- 7:43And some people are able to be fertile ground for others because they understand
- 7:49their ability to serve and so they realize that by me being fertile ground,
- 7:56I don't need nothing from you because I'm covering from God. So it's nothing
- 8:00that you can do for me in this moment. I need to beat fertile
- 8:03sawyer to you. And that goes into a lot of people know how to
- 8:07give for not many, but know how to receive. We we talked about
- 8:11that. I love Okay, I get a lot of back ground. Um
- 8:16education for my boy, like to read if y'all want to books a million
- 8:24on the route my boy. My boy read like, Um, was it
- 8:31man good father bad father Wood? What's that father book? Good son versus
- 8:35bad? So it's about a man. Oh yeah, I was reading the
- 8:41book about fatherhood father which one of you, Oh no, it's rich dad,
- 8:48poor dad. Don't think about rich dad, rich dad. Point dad
- 8:50helped me to get started in the real estate. Yeah. So, um,
- 8:54we won't get into your story because you have a unique story, right
- 8:58because you go from shout out to jack Jackson, Mississippi. Lady, he
- 9:03don't rip that damn. But you come from you come from Jackson, Mississippi.
- 9:11You took a step of faith or leap of faith. It's living comfortably
- 9:16by the way because you you you like money and you you like wedding.
- 9:20You know some people and there's nothing wrong with that, like some people white,
- 9:24which you know, you gotta talk music. It's like we're talking about
- 9:28traier and so you took a leagal faith with our our NINETI five right,
- 9:33and you went to a town where you had nobody, you knew no one,
- 9:37nobody but God right. And one of the things I was thinking about,
- 9:43like, okay, lord, like you know, me and my dude
- 9:46we talked about everything, like you know, you know some stuff. So
- 9:50where do you want this conversation to go? And one of the things that
- 9:54he was showing me was a candle and you being in an apartment with a
- 9:58candle, do you know don't go away? Yeah? I used to let
- 10:01the counters at my apartment yep, And that was my space where I got
- 10:07my thoughts together. Can we talk about that time, like what what?
- 10:11Why did you make the decision to leave Jackson because you you you know you
- 10:16had it I was I say you had it made because you were in a
- 10:18predicament where you could say where you would you minimalized your your outgoing or what
- 10:24was coming from out your responsibilities basically h and your bills or whatever. And
- 10:31you were winning, like you were winning where you were. But you took
- 10:33a leap of faith and said, Okay, I'm going to stretch. Yeah,
- 10:37it's a promotion. But there was a promotion somewhere in a foreign in
- 10:41foreign territory. So how did you get to that space and what happened in
- 10:46that in that space? Well, I can't tell this story without first give
- 10:50an honor to my mother and my father. My mom is a school teacher,
- 10:54so all she known all her life the servant and my father has been
- 10:56a community leader back in our city because I can remember, and so having
- 11:01them in my life and having them to push me and being the oldest and
- 11:07not getting everything I wanted and built something in me that were the word no
- 11:11I used for a building block to success. And one of the things about
- 11:16me I love challenges. So when I get to a place if I'm dominating
- 11:20or if this I feel it has become easy, I get bored, and
- 11:24then the other part that there too is I did start to understand that Jackson
- 11:30needs help. At some point I wanted to be able to go back and
- 11:33help. And my thought process was, if I can go out and learn
- 11:35from other places, what can I then bring back when it's time to be
- 11:39able to help my city. So that was my thought process on leaving this
- 11:45city, going out on my own. It was a hard time for me.
- 11:50I left and went to Montgomery in January. In the April of twenty
- 11:54eighteen, and in November twenty seventeen, I found out that my mom had
- 11:58cancer, and so was a very trying time for me. While I honestly
- 12:01did not want to leave and sob my mom had a very good relationship,
- 12:05and I expressed that I had the opportunity to promote and I said, hey,
- 12:09I really don't want to leave. I want to leave you, and
- 12:11she said, if I'm the reason I hold you back, I never better
- 12:16deal with it. And as bad as I did not want to go,
- 12:20at their point, I had a stamp of approval and now I knew that
- 12:24I had to go and do something. Once I always told my mom,
- 12:26I said mom, I'm wanted to go pro. I used to think it
- 12:31was going to be the NBA, the nfield. When I started to realize
- 12:35I'm gonna go pro in life, right, and so that looks like something
- 12:39totally different than what I ever imagine and me being up under her wing mean
- 12:46being up under my mom, bunder my father. That entire time I realized
- 12:50what level of pro was I going to reach? Because the reality is,
- 12:54as much as I love my parents, it's a selling to where their mindsets
- 12:58and they thought process are And how am I to break the ceiling by being
- 13:01on in the same roof to hold them? He said, he that did
- 13:11you gotta isn't gonna saying like, hey, I am so this? Oh,
- 13:16because all the folks to when't use pro in life and yell they
- 13:20used to like suck pro life fine in pro life, they don't think.
- 13:24They don't say I am I am going pro in light like? What does
- 13:30that look like? What does that even mean for somebody that is not as
- 13:33fluent invert virtual like you will? So essentially what that looks like is one
- 13:39of the things that we have to do is define what we want. One
- 13:43of the hardest things I'd like to do isn't define what you want wants.
- 13:48You define what you want everything else come become easy because you can find somebody
- 13:52else to did what you did right. And so one of the things that
- 13:56I've come to note isn't the way that I impact people in the way people
- 14:00impact me. And so the first step for me going pro in life was
- 14:03being able to uplift those around me. And so when I was a leader,
- 14:09which I thought I wasn't leader, let me preface that, when I
- 14:11thought that I was leading and people wasn't following me, I thought it was
- 14:16them and not me. But the Book of Life wants tell me that Bible
- 14:22said in order to lead people around you, you got to first lead your
- 14:26home first. So going pro in life, let's like lead my marriage.
- 14:31That's so good. It's leading my brother, it's leading a sister. It's
- 14:35being a rock or anchor for my mom and my dad. It's being an
- 14:39uncle that can lead the family. It first starts being able to lean those
- 14:43a ground. That's the first stept for me to go on pro in life.
- 14:50So what is that? How how did you do that? And you
- 14:52mentioned that thought you was leading. What's the difference from when you thought to
- 14:56you understanding that you actually are, Like, what's that seeing when you when
- 15:00you think you're leading? It is all about you. See I thought I
- 15:03was leaning because I was doing well. But were the people around me doing
- 15:09well? That's something? Why What wasn't the opportunity that I had while helping
- 15:13people get in other positions so they can do well as well. See,
- 15:16it's not enough when I'm just doing well. It's in different between running the
- 15:20hunting me to dash in the track and running the four about four hundred meter
- 15:24dash. Jes, you in the line four about four you got to make
- 15:28sure when you hand off the beton somebody else there to receive. Let me
- 15:31warn y'all. He talked to the sports languages like it's sports me sports metaphors.
- 15:37So we might get some Lebron James stuff, some Kobe that's his guy,
- 15:43Kobe. I was. I was with you when Kovid passed away.
- 15:46Oh he would hurt listening picks. He would hurt. And so what was
- 15:48a working? I don't know what I thought I was gonna do with.
- 15:52Yeah, he speaks in sports, so I didn't learned a lot of sports
- 15:54in at the four So I mean track so when you when you running track
- 15:58track is wore one of the most individualized sports. So if I'm running a
- 16:03hunt of me to dash, she just me racing against everybody else, even
- 16:06against my own teammate, And this is my race, is just me.
- 16:10As long as I'm good, I can win the race. When you run
- 16:14in the floe about four, that mean you have four different people running a
- 16:18relay running the race together. So at some point they have to take them
- 16:22baton and you gotta hand it off. If you drop the baton, you
- 16:26have to go back and pick it up, and you lose time and everybody
- 16:30get ahead of you. So who are you handing enough baton off two?
- 16:33Once you start to develop, who are you handing the baton off two?
- 16:37Once you realize you at a certain level, At what point do you want
- 16:41others to run just as fast as you? Because we have to remove the
- 16:47mindset of scarcity and move into the mindset of abundance. Just because I help
- 16:52you, that's not mean there's nothing nothing else for me. That's so good.
- 16:55That that's so good. Okay, don't forget you just because I thought
- 17:03of something. There's a race. So remember we just had all the tie
- 17:07with coach right, shout out the coach of the again. And so we
- 17:12just had that time with Coach D and coach j D and wanted we did
- 17:17an exercise bro like it was a pretty doupe dope exercise and when it stretched
- 17:22us and looking at so see stretched us somebody giving us the name of a
- 17:36lady in the Bible, ladies name that no one really references, right,
- 17:41and so um we had when she teamed us up. So we had thirty
- 17:48minutes to come up with a six minute and delivered like a message. Right,
- 17:53we's right, y'all being good, y'all being good. Oh, and
- 18:00so we had this thirty minutes to first of all, look up who who?
- 18:04This was the deal with some people that we did not know. Come
- 18:07up with a message. So we're not just giving information like oh this who
- 18:14we was, No, you gotta come up with a message about this woman's
- 18:17life, right, about who this person is. And most of these women
- 18:21maybe had no more than six verses about them in the Bible. So she's
- 18:27strengthened us dogs like this, See's strengthened us. So mind you, So
- 18:33we have to present this and with of course in front of it everybody and
- 18:37we get feedback, right, and so it's me and Miss Carl shout out
- 18:41the miss car we go. First of all, the process of even just
- 18:45getting the information down together was interesting because I had my way of thinking and
- 18:52she had with her thinking. She is great and I'm great. I get
- 18:56reveluce on the information she get like, so what I'm trying to figure out?
- 19:00How does that and go together? Right? Right? And so it
- 19:03taught me that whole process of figuring out the information going by the knowledge,
- 19:11embracing the strims and understanding of what we had to do, and being delivering
- 19:15it with her. We had to deliver it together. Now you know how
- 19:19much I can just talk, you know, and you know when I got
- 19:22win, I go win. So I ain't like for one, I missed
- 19:30my queue to start talking. I missed like que. The second thing would
- 19:37happened was that I missed an opportunity to pass her back to tell I'm about
- 19:44the I'm about them. I missed the opportunity to give her, give her
- 19:51space to get to say what relatory information that she had. The team noticed
- 19:57it right there was like good job, I love the energy, love this
- 20:00or whatever. But she was trying to she was she has under something else
- 20:03to say, Right, I didn't even notice it, didn't notice is going
- 20:08to come in because I was listening for specific words and didn't notice when the
- 20:12passing back to her. And so what that taught me was that what you
- 20:18just said. Yeah, it's a team effort, but you have to be
- 20:22self aware to be a good team player. Self awareness, breege choices.
- 20:26Let's go, let's talk about it. When I become aware, I can
- 20:30now choose. So if I understand what a trigger to me is and I
- 20:37see that trigger coming, I cannot choose how I respond to that trigger.
- 20:41That's so good because I am self aware, so I can now choose.
- 20:47So now that you are aware that you miss the handoff, you are aware
- 20:52that you missed the QTE that next time you speak with someone, if you
- 20:56miss, you're choosing to miss because now you aware. So by coming to
- 21:00self aware, it will move their excuses and yourself awareness becomes your accountability and
- 21:04it makes me responsible. Man, I can't believe it's been in a full
- 21:11year. Yeah, it's been a full year of transition and promotion, right
- 21:17and so um for the longest time, y'all the company that were with one.
- 21:23It was pushing me to promote and I was just like, nah,
- 21:29I was for one. I kind of had a traumatic experience and I were
- 21:33moving or trying to I was kind of still traumatized. Then in the midst
- 21:38of that, I had went through this bad break up. Oh, Greg
- 21:41greggon went through a life without went through this bad breakup, and um,
- 21:48I think I had don't given up on myself. I think I think I
- 21:52think it's fair to say I've gave up on myself. Um, and so
- 21:56what frustrating grig as my leader? Do you want to say? It said?
- 22:02What frustrated me the most is that what frustrates maybe most is that what
- 22:08we just it's in general, it's in general, it's a generalized statement,
- 22:12or frustrates me. To me, you got to be clear because the people
- 22:15we're talking about mother get there. Okay, Well, frustration we need the
- 22:18most is when you see a person that has such a gift, in such
- 22:25a high level of potential, but they want to remain potential. And so
- 22:33it's so potential is the ability to develop. You have the ability to develop,
- 22:41but you never develop. And so what frustrated me was that you have
- 22:47all this ability. You have all this ability, but you allow the spirit
- 22:52of fear to hinder in corner your ability because because you fear the responsibility.
- 23:03And that's why I was getting it so glagin yo, That's why I was
- 23:07getting nick And I'm gonna give you. I'm gonna give you a quote that
- 23:11changed my life. Back in January this year, one of my mentors told
- 23:15me, he said, as a leader, it may not be your fault,
- 23:19but it needs your responsibility. Right, So when you're leading people,
- 23:25it may not be your fault that they did what they need, but it's
- 23:29your responsibility. And so as leaders handing them returning, we have to show
- 23:37people that they have the ability to respond to their ability. Wait, because
- 23:47hey, you don't real what you just said. Yeah, say to him,
- 23:49you have to show people leaders that we have the ability to respond to
- 23:56our ability responsibility. But you said, but it's basically what I just took
- 24:02from what you said is that you have a responsibility to let go of the
- 24:04patuna. Isn't much as I have to grant b that's right, that it's
- 24:11almost that the idea of the simultaneous need of you to move out my way
- 24:18and for me to be able to move into it. It's the same thing
- 24:21of me moving to Montgomery and standing under my mom's room. If I would
- 24:26have stayed under her wing, I can never fly. That's good because she
- 24:32is my mother, and I trust what she was saying. He is my
- 24:34father, and I honored their father, so I trust he was saying.
- 24:37So I was never. I wouldn't say never. I was hesitant on finding
- 24:41my own voice as a man. So I leaned the horne and I developed
- 24:47my voice. I get to develop me, I get the experience me.
- 24:52I can just see myself feel I can just see what I'm bad at,
- 24:55what I'm good at. I don't have that chrich Creach is not righte.
- 25:00When they moved, I fall. So when I fall, I scraped my
- 25:03I gotta remember how do I not scrape my arm again? So you needed
- 25:07me to get out the way because I would becoming a crutch. Anything you
- 25:10wouldn't do, I would do you right and so and so you needed me
- 25:15to move so you could flourish because I wasn't. I was not going through.
- 25:18I was not promoting, not for me. Not I was, y'all.
- 25:25I was really choosing to stay in a place Um, I was comfortable,
- 25:33Like real talk, we ain't gonna go too deep into it. Where
- 25:37I was comfortable, I hadn't go let's go let's meet on the couch,
- 25:40right, So so let's let's go deep. So let's let's talk about Let's
- 25:44talk about why were you okay with just being comfortable? Because right you had
- 25:48a podcast you have just asked, right, you were gonna flourish? Ain't
- 25:52doing your thing? Why are you okay? Why were you okay? What
- 25:56it's being called? Oh? So financially I was straight? Right financially,
- 26:06Um, I was like, okay, I can live off the right.
- 26:10Greg at the time, let me tell y'all, I'm like when I say
- 26:12vulnerability on the Max with him, like we I don't think it's an area
- 26:17in my life that hasn't been touched in my relationship, Like we speak about
- 26:21a lot. Financially, I had gotten to a point in calm wise that
- 26:29was good. But Grig taught me how to manage my lanning. And you
- 26:33know, we still talk about this to this day, but he helped me
- 26:36build my credit. UM, shout out to you, because you you were
- 26:40literally a big help towards getting things done for the love lady center, Like
- 26:45if I didn't have good credit at a time, who was, like,
- 26:48I wouldn't have been able to That's a that's another word for somebody like,
- 26:52we can't be out here trying to. Oh, I want to help.
- 26:53I want to help, and you you broke help books. Broke people can't
- 27:00well the broke people. Hey with y'all filtheed each other the same piece of
- 27:04brilliant okay, but so financially I was straight um. But most of all,
- 27:15I didn't trust my ability to run basically almost the most a million dollar
- 27:22business if you break because he's the numbers guy, so he broke down.
- 27:27I was afraid of numbers. I was Oh, I was afraid of numbers.
- 27:30So let's pause right there. So when you think about that fear,
- 27:36oh, not wanting to lead a million dollar business, was it the business
- 27:40or was it leading the people because you didn't feel like people would follow you?
- 27:42Which one was? Oh, first of all, you are not about
- 27:47to turn into a council session, because that's all that's sad, like,
- 27:51ain't trying, he's trying, ain't trying it. I'm trying me y't even
- 27:56spending all on the folds. But Okay, I answer your question. Don't
- 27:59don't dick. It was the people. So my experiences with the current people
- 28:07frustrated me, and I was just like, of course I and even it
- 28:11was back to when I was younger with not me feeling like people didn't like
- 28:15me, like me and my sister talk about it all the time, like,
- 28:18um, where I didn't know people and they can try to tell him.
- 28:21I know people did not like me in high school like it was.
- 28:26Don't even try to play me like I didn't know you. You didn't like
- 28:29me for whatever you reason. Didn't like me in college spade a spade keeping
- 28:32movement, right, So I took that no matter how hard I tried,
- 28:37I felt like it was never gonna be enough. So not only it wasn't
- 28:42just in that era of being at work, it was in my relationships.
- 28:47I had just got out. You know, well the guy was with as
- 28:51soon as I get this new house, get this new opportunity, and all
- 28:53the stuff like that, I'm doing so well, you did like, what's
- 28:57going on? I can't even keep I can't manning to keep relationship. So
- 29:02something got to be wrong with me, So don't even put me into in
- 29:04the running everybody, everybody a little in Grig. When I first got there,
- 29:11you know, all our clients were like, okay, where Greg and
- 29:14what it is? And it seemed like Griggs had this supercate bone or whatever
- 29:15I was. I cannot feel those shoes like I'm I was comparing myself to
- 29:21him. But and Sen And that's why I love about our relationship because before
- 29:26before I felt like um, and it's something I worked with you on.
- 29:30There's a ray is that I don't want to always seem like I'm taking right,
- 29:33I'm not up. We talked about and you just said this earlier,
- 29:37how do you receive? Right? How do you become a good receiver?
- 29:41I'm a bank ahead, you know, and you know this, Well,
- 29:47let's talk about that, right. So when we talk about giving the receiver,
- 29:52the heart has four ventricles, has four ventricles, right, if the
- 29:57heart is if you if the heart, it's giving blood, but it's not
- 30:00receiving blood without hard pump, We're gonna die. So if we are able
- 30:07to give spiritually, we're not able to receive spiritually, what would they lead
- 30:14us? So there's a ray So that and now and now we can get
- 30:22into the true root of why you was afraid to take over the location had
- 30:29nothing to do with the numbers. The root is the parts of the relationships
- 30:33and people from your past. The root is that you always feel you're giving,
- 30:37and then you feel that you're never receiving. But at the same time
- 30:41you may not know how to receive. And then once you didn't even deeper
- 30:45than that. If we don't know how to receive, then we can't even
- 30:48receive constructive criticism in ways where we not offended and were able to move forward.
- 30:56That's where I struggle when I first became a leader m because it wasn't
- 31:02necessarily what they were saying, it was how they were saying it mm.
- 31:07And once I realized when somebody told me, hey, bro, you gotta
- 31:11put that to the side, and when somebody talking to you, you have
- 31:15to be able to decide for what is the meat and spit out the bombs.
- 31:18And so that's the next phase on how we move shrom okay. We
- 31:26go from here on and afraid to receive it to okay while we're afraid to
- 31:32receive it, and then once we open up to that we are afraid to
- 31:36receive it, start praying and working there now I when admissions not conveyed that
- 31:38what we wanted to, how do you move forward on it? That's good.
- 31:45And I will say that even in our relationship, I can't I know,
- 31:51I can't go on base to our relationship. And I guess this is
- 31:52where God wanted me to us to be on a land because I feel like
- 31:56there's a uniqueness in our relationship. For one is not a tap to take.
- 32:00It'sn't give, it'sn't give and take right, and so I feel like
- 32:04it's a mutual understanding. Um, And I didn't know that until you.
- 32:10This is good. So when you being a leader and having somebody like a
- 32:17strong I was strong guy. Look we ain't, oh got let's be transpared.
- 32:23Me and Grid we toughed it out. And Jessica is varied. You
- 32:29can see opinionated, opinionated or vocal both. I mean, pinon ate.
- 32:36It can kind of calm off, listen, I'm not I'm not no sinc
- 32:39I'm opinionated too. It's like sometimes I may think what I'm saying is a
- 32:43fact. You may think cinepine because you might not agree when so that wouldn't
- 32:46be So it's like you vocal and you opinionated, and then as we just
- 32:51talked about sometimes it was hard for you to receive constructive criticism. But I'm
- 32:54so much better. Oh god, I'm so much better. So i'd be
- 32:57I'll be honest and transparent here and I tell anybody that this to that management's
- 33:01going forward. Jessica was one of the things that he was one of the
- 33:06reasons to help me grow my leadership because I am straightforward, do this,
- 33:13do that. I didn't give a lot of background to what I was doing,
- 33:16and somewhat of a micro manager. At one point, right and Jessica's
- 33:21came, this's a canon me and she said, this ain't gonna work.
- 33:24I said, what, I ain't gonna work. She was like, you
- 33:28telling me to do this and you talk this ain't gonna work, and like,
- 33:30but it's worth day where I've been. Why it's not gonna work.
- 33:32She was like, I'm not them, I'm different. Yeah, So like
- 33:38I'm like, okay. And the turning point for me was Jessica's from the
- 33:44quick on me. She tells me she's when the quick and the turning point
- 33:49for me that I had to realize I had to remove myself because I was
- 33:53so proud for and confident in what I had previously done. That was one
- 33:58hundred meter that's track on the right. I was so confident in what I
- 34:01had previously done that I was ignoring what you needed from me, right,
- 34:07And so it was one question I asked her that changed our relationship. We're
- 34:12having a one on one and it took about two hours. Yeah, you
- 34:15know. And at the end of this one on one, I said,
- 34:17if you was me, how would you manage you? She was too ready
- 34:22for that question. But that's but that is all that shows. Okay.
- 34:27So if if you're the leader, I'm I'm complaining about needs with folks.
- 34:31If you got a leader and you could do an all this complaining and all
- 34:35that stuff like that, and you ain't ready to show what in hands or
- 34:38quota where we say manage up right, if you're not being able to provide
- 34:44feedback what you're complaining for because you have no solution. And when I said
- 34:50how would you manage you? She started talking. I said, hold on,
- 34:53let me get something right this down. I wrote it down, and
- 34:57this is the two fall leaders. When somebody tell you how you want how
- 35:00they want to be managed. Number One by actingly listening, you're showing respect.
- 35:06Number two, you gotta follow what they say because if you're gonna commit
- 35:10to asking that question and you're gonna commit to writing it down, now you
- 35:16having to commit to what you're commuted to. You gotta commit you committed to
- 35:22because now your word is your bond. Yeah. And so once she told
- 35:27me how she needed to be managed, and I started managing her that way,
- 35:31and then she didn't like it because I said, whole, it's what
- 35:37you said. I didn't make this up. You made this up. So
- 35:42now we're in a position to where either we're gonna do it my way again
- 35:45or we're gonna have to see how we're gonna judge your way because this is
- 35:47what they said. But guess what, that's us learning how to pass the
- 35:52batona right, all right? And that's the thing that's so it. It
- 35:57creates healthy relationship because this is so good and you I want you to stop
- 36:02me whenever you feel the flow. But healthy relationships are confused with I like
- 36:08it all the time. Healthy relationship need constructive criticism, It need good feed
- 36:17that go ahead, go ahead is man, it's so powerful that you say
- 36:22that. I'll let tell a podcast two weeks ago, and they was talking
- 36:24about marriage. You're talking about marriage, and one of the things that people
- 36:30say is that a great marriage has to have compromise. And would you drive
- 36:36across a compromise bridge. No, do you want your immune system compromise?
- 36:42So why would you be in a compromise relationship? Right? So what you
- 36:50just said, what you just said was so powerful, because why everything we
- 36:57want it was on the other side of comfort. That's fat and it's good,
- 37:01and the relationship is not just about I like everything. But that's why
- 37:07in the previous question, I asked why you were so comfortable because you wasn't
- 37:13going to elevate where you are today until you face conflict because you was compromising
- 37:17with yourself. Yeah. Right, And so our relationship did not evolved until
- 37:22we face that conflict and went through the conflict. Some people want to go
- 37:28around, you have to go through. But see if we would have made
- 37:31the compromise while drift across team from the bridge. We have to face that
- 37:38conflict. One of the reasons I married my wife is because she was good
- 37:44at comfort the resolution. Why wait, four weeks, I'm sorry, I
- 37:52haven't stopped that digit here with the man dolls. She compression shout out to
- 37:57you by your husband says he made one of the reasons why he married you
- 38:00because you wan't gonna hold bad You was gonna confloted. You know what I'm
- 38:05saying, you want and you aren't gonna beat down some of us have.
- 38:10And this is just a relation. I know this in a relationship podcast,
- 38:14but you know since I brought up the fake that I had on that successful
- 38:16relationship, Um, sometimes we were we pulled back who we are because other
- 38:23folks can't manage it. Other people can't And this this is something that you
- 38:29taught me when when when that relationship all things broke when that person reveals himself
- 38:37and just saying, hey, I'm out right you you used the starter,
- 38:44but you made him very clear, like you're not Silla, No, this
- 38:46is not you. You strow somebody somebody gonna get him, but were gonna
- 38:51focus on you, like you need to focus on you. You are too
- 38:53that you are too that you got this much money. You got ducked like
- 38:57for one, he knew my paycheck, like he knew much. I was
- 39:00like, You're like, bro, like get yourself together, like no,
- 39:04this is not it. And so it's beautiful that you you just said,
- 39:08you don't know how many women you just free. Like you with your statement
- 39:15right there, like you just freed a lot of a lot of women in
- 39:17general. Um, And even when you poured into me and say, hey,
- 39:22like no, I like the fact that you, just like you just
- 39:24said, our relationship gotten better when we just dooced it out for two hours
- 39:30and I talked to him about everything, even what I don't I know already
- 39:34know he's gonna say something and get on my nerves. I know, even
- 39:37to say something to agitated me and give me, you know, to the
- 39:40next novel. But I do it because I trust them and build truth.
- 39:44And let's and let's go back to the beginning of the pod when you talked
- 39:46about going pro in life. Okay, you said that when their relationship had
- 39:52been I said, you feeling to develop yourself, you fouldn't do this?
- 39:57What was I What was I really saying? You feeldn't go pro in life
- 40:00because everything you want is on the other side of heart, everything you want
- 40:07is on the other side of horror. Why there's your conflict. You have
- 40:10to go through the conflict. And so sometimes a lot of times in relationship,
- 40:19we shrink who we are because we feel the other person can't handle it.
- 40:22You're compromising, You're driving across that compromise bridge. At what point do
- 40:30you become who you are and give them the opportunity to go through the conflict
- 40:36to see everything held handle it. You're blocking blessings is not even meant for
- 40:44you to block, because self awareness bridge choices. They are not even nowhere
- 40:50who you truly are, so they can't even choose to be with the real
- 40:52you. They not even know where who you really are, so they cannot
- 41:00even choose to be with the real youth. You are making choices for them
- 41:07because you are shrenthing who you really are. But then we are wondering why
- 41:14we're not in a relationship, or we're wondering why relationship not moving forward,
- 41:19But we're not even realizing that we're contributing by shrinking ourselves and not giving that
- 41:25person and the option of choosing to really want to be with us and choosing
- 41:30to get better to be with us. Going I first, me and my
- 41:35wife. I couldn't even express my feelings, I could even express mysef.
- 41:39I had to go to therapy to express my feelings to learn how to do
- 41:44that. She knew that, but because I was open on the fronting,
- 41:49she knew there's gonna be a struggle for me. So she chose to end
- 41:52of that conflict with me. And now we're on the other side and I
- 41:54can express my feeling. But had I not did that, we enter into
- 41:59relationship and now we're trying to have a conversation and I can't express and she
- 42:04like, hold on by your being aware. You didn't tell me about this.
- 42:07You didn't give me the opportunity to choose, and these who I really
- 42:09didn't want to be with, bro like do I didn't come closer? So
- 42:15you am I still living as my post still posting. You're like, but
- 42:22it's so man hat him twice away. Yeah, give me an option to
- 42:30figure out and you I almost said something. I have to wade in my
- 42:35words because I know how we really thought. What that's that's my frustration at
- 42:45any level relationship. So even when we talk about business, we talked about
- 42:47entrepreneurship, we talked about creatives. When I don't have the option or know
- 42:53all of my options, I don't know what's on the plate where you didn't
- 42:57cover the plate what you want? You want really? Aint no who you
- 43:00want me to eat blindly? And I what do I not eatingrid? I
- 43:07want the whiff half they put mushrooms in it. She made me drive back
- 43:10twenty minutes ago chapter she did not eat mushrooms. So I'm eating much froom
- 43:15blindly something else. I can say it all, but I can't see what
- 43:20it is. That's because you had me eating blindly, right, and so
- 43:25basically your wife had the confidence to be herself. She had the confidence to
- 43:37be herself, whether it was broken herself, whether it was frustrated self,
- 43:43what it was happy self. She showed you every area and said, hey,
- 43:47this is me. You showed me you, and we're gonna go with
- 43:51it. I think that's not just we marriage out. I honor you so
- 43:53much for it, just being being able to see your story. I know
- 43:58you. You aren't saying when I met you again, just made Capricia when
- 44:01I met you? Or what, yeah, didn't dating her? So I've
- 44:05seen you from dayton to engage to m married to now a father who were
- 44:14gonna get to that greglan Gel all right, So um, what it's It's
- 44:20just it just warms my heart and I can't even see Desi rais, that's
- 44:22kind of light up, like, oh, watch this, your marriage gets
- 44:30to show. This goes back to the timid the verson who talk about the
- 44:35way you treat your marriage allows people to trust you in business. That's so
- 44:40powerful, man, that's that's so powerful. Because I was talking to my
- 44:45gud daughter about she's struggling with choosing a friend, and she was talking about
- 44:52the girls that's pretty and wanted to fit in. And I said, I
- 44:57choose my friends based on how they treat other people. Immune treat other people
- 45:01bad. I cannot be friends with you because I have core values that I'm
- 45:07not going to compromise to be your friend. And one of my core values
- 45:10integrity, high level communication. Right, And so it's like, if you
- 45:16can't, if we can't communicate, we can't even resolve conflict, that's so
- 45:22good. If we can't communicate, we can't even trust each other, how
- 45:25can I trust you? By being solving So you're ask somebody a question,
- 45:30they remain silent. That allows you to think what you want to think.
- 45:36And if you think they lying, in you think they lying, how can
- 45:38you trust it? So when people say, what's your top thing in relationship?
- 45:44Some people say trust, I say communication and so and I And what
- 45:51I also want to share with people is one of the things I finally believe
- 45:55in. This is in leadership, This is in self development, this is
- 45:59in your marriage. Is if you saying good? It's in your business.
- 46:02Every church, every business, every down profit, every game has a vision,
- 46:12a mission and core values. Come on, now, that's good.
- 46:15Why don't you? Why don't you? And then when we talk about core
- 46:21values, Okay, if you go to a job, When you go get
- 46:24a job and you go to orientation, they training you on the core values.
- 46:30What are they doing? They are saying, if you step outside of
- 46:34what this company believes in, you have to go. So, why we
- 46:38are in a relationship and people step outside of our core values? Why do
- 46:45we stay? But we love ourselves? Though? Why do we stay?
- 46:52Now? Either either either you don't believe either there's either that's not your core
- 46:58value. Number one, you don't trust your ability to be without that person.
- 47:06Number two or number three you're not set for ware. So you can't
- 47:09make a choice. And so we talk about going pro in life and what
- 47:19does that look like? What is your vision? What is the vision for
- 47:22your life? Because your vision is your GPS on where your life gonna take
- 47:27you? When you read the book of the Amya and he went to go
- 47:30face the wall Jerusalem. Once he dialloaded his vision, he didn't see everybody.
- 47:36He went inside the city and he prayed over his vision for he releads
- 47:38it to the world. What vision are you having that you are praying over
- 47:43before your meets to the world. What's your vision? What is your mission?
- 47:45You're formular for your mission statement, You're formula for your mission statement is
- 47:52passion and purpose over identity and can be a real formula pass in purpose over
- 48:01identity. So my mission is to make money while helping people, but my
- 48:06mission is to also create new leaders for the next generation. Right. That
- 48:09has nothing to do with being a father and then it tests to being a
- 48:13father, and then it tasted to being a husband. None of that.
- 48:15Why because that any given to any given time, that title can change.
- 48:21Wow, if you are only if you identify your mission, it's only being
- 48:24the mother that child was to die. Your identity dot with it your mission
- 48:31dot. We So we have to do the work to identify our mission without
- 48:39attaching it to a title. We have to do that work and then we
- 48:47have to take it a stre further and choose our core values. Keyword is
- 48:52core values. Core values. Core values are the components of the culture or
- 49:00the components of a culture that a company will not compromise for a short time
- 49:05success or financial game. The company will not compromise only even valiums for a
- 49:14short time success or financial game. And this culture. Men, if you're
- 49:22gonna be a part of this body, in this company, you have to
- 49:24buy by these values. How many people you have in your life inside of
- 49:29your culture that your alliance had to be a part of for a short time
- 49:34success and stunt financial game. But you know that's not who you really are,
- 49:39y'all. I ain't gonna lie. We normally don't do this, but
- 49:44we just had to take a hot break, like, hey, do you
- 49:49like this? We don't be real and you talk about transpans and we just
- 49:52had to take a hot break because my dog just the grid rallity. He's
- 50:00just worried. And you know how coaches, we're talking about ministry and market
- 50:06place and how there's a merging like when when when when Jesus went after the
- 50:13disciples, he went out in the disciples of the market disciples were in the
- 50:20marketplace, and he made them fishermen of media. And so yeah, like
- 50:30Jesus went in the church looking for follows, he was in business businesses.
- 50:36He was out here for suching for the entrepreneur. He was out of searching
- 50:38for the word argis because that's where the people are. That's what the people
- 50:45are people in the now. That's a Oh my wife would tell y'all just
- 50:53have random along, man, So just off the real like, okay,
- 51:00so what we were just talking about, uh was the ppizza. So we
- 51:06have to have vision, we have to have a mission statement, and we
- 51:08have to have the Corps values. So this is a transparent moment um.
- 51:15Um, So I'm immediate that I've been dealing with. Um. I've been
- 51:22in a transition and I've started and stopped this podcast on the back end fighting
- 51:30depression, all right. And one of the things that I've been fighting for
- 51:37is for what I want. But then when I wanted to write it down,
- 51:43I couldn't. Let's speak there though, So right now we're gonna try
- 51:50something. Oh, I want you, I want you to close your eyes
- 51:58and I want you to envision you trying to write what you are and when
- 52:02you try to write it and you see that you can't write it when you
- 52:07feel that pain that is in your body, then my stomach. Now I
- 52:13want you to do a quick prayer and just ask God, why do I
- 52:17feel this in my stomach? Why my stomach does any experience as of memories
- 52:24come about about why you think that you cannot write your vision down? Can
- 52:30you feel it in your stumait? That's the face that you just had a
- 52:45revelation. Oh what I hear is that I'm digested something that I need to.
- 53:05I think it's it's none or they hate you know, regard to say
- 53:08it's okay. I was trying to make sure that that I digested some words
- 53:14or understandings, because the stomach is what holds your intake. But I have
- 53:24not had the bowel or removal. And so what we just did was we
- 53:32just showed their fear peasytly man in fest itself inside of the body. And
- 53:38when you close your wives and think about what's stopping from moving forward, you
- 53:43can't easy cly feel that elment. You can easy cly feel that right.
- 53:50And so what you're doing right now, you're facing the conflict when you feel
- 53:54the fear, and you prey upon their fear and you ask God for the
- 53:59vision of the memory. Help you can get hash their fear. And once
- 54:02you conquer that, you'll be able to write no problems. So when stella
- 54:09compromising, oh sorry and just sitting what they're feeling in our stomach, now
- 54:15we can get the action still to confront that feeling, that confliction, not
- 54:24be get to confront their confliction. Then get to the other side and write
- 54:29down everything. So, um, while we on our little bread, you
- 54:40brought up the sack that first of all, I thank you for that.
- 54:45I don't know, you know, I don't trust those through that with me.
- 54:47And then be on the camera so you've got the only morning all that
- 54:53and all the others. Little feetle down. Okay, y man, you
- 55:00know I'm gonna say this right now because somebody needs to know. I'm proud
- 55:04of myself because sometimes I can be so much in control, like which y'all
- 55:07didn't see all the carerible I'm gonna be so either he said this boss lated
- 55:13jos Ya'm I'm I getting boss lady is right. Um. When I'm talking
- 55:21to business, are doing business? Um, but I trust you so much.
- 55:24Um O relinquished control in that moment, even though this is my platform,
- 55:31right, I'm doing air quotes right now because this is a platform that
- 55:36I never envisioned for myself. This is something that was placed into me.
- 55:38And then now there's a ray has become a purpose partner, um tangileblin.
- 55:45You know someone that's like, Okay, that's that's uncomfortable. You really want
- 55:49to keep doing this, right, And so now I'm a purpose partner who's
- 55:53also my accountability partner. And then I have you are so many things should
- 56:00like my friend, my brother, my pussha and I just had to I
- 56:05literally had a religious with quote relinquished control. And I think that's um the
- 56:12importance of one of the importance of relationships, like evening what you're talking about
- 56:17your marriage, Like there was no way that speaking on capricious side with hers
- 56:25standing up in the saying hey this is now, I'm not gonna do this.
- 56:29And it gave you the choice, like I had the choice to relinquish
- 56:31control them all. I could have said no, I'm not closing my eyes,
- 56:35right, And so there's a trust factor that is needed. And so
- 56:38the question is how do I grow trust in relationship and then trust also enhances
- 56:49the vision, the mission, and the core value. Man, that's that's
- 56:53an amazing question. So the way you grow trust in the relationship is by
- 57:00being impeccable on your word. So if I tell you one plus one is
- 57:07two, but then I make it three, I just helped you not trust
- 57:10me. Oh while, on a very basic level, all right, the
- 57:15way you grow it in relationship is by committing to what you committed to in
- 57:21the relationship. So if I approach you and me and my my wife then
- 57:29girlfriend, gonta girlfriend and boyfriend, and we said we're gonna be exclusive,
- 57:32but then I cheat, have I given her reason to trust me? Because
- 57:38sometimes trust operate as a glass. Once you break that glass and you try
- 57:44to put it back together, it never fitsts it. Yeah, it's still
- 57:47gonna be a cook, but it's never gonna be the same pristine that you
- 57:57once brought. Yeah, now you may have to start over, get a
- 58:00whole new we're the young person. That's possible. So that's step one.
- 58:06The other thing is one thing in leadership that I have learned is that we
- 58:12have to be able to submit inside of the leadership. And what people don't
- 58:17understand about submission. Sub means under. You have to be willing to be
- 58:24under the mission. Mission means calling. So could you have to be under
- 58:30the calling? So when I submit to being a leader, I have to
- 58:36be submitted. I have to be under the calling upon my life. M
- 58:42So. So this is the thing we talk about relationship, We talk about
- 58:46trust. People think only women should submit. Men have to be under a
- 58:53calling as well. At same times, you have to learn how to submit
- 59:00to somebody else. Street that's the other part of hassing the batime, the
- 59:07way you get there. It's tough self development, since you can't get anywhere
- 59:15without getting on that boat or self development. One of the things I had
- 59:17to do myself. It's this peel. It's about it didn't be about did
- 59:22tall and a real hard to swallow car reality sky reality. Sometimes you gotta
- 59:31looking dead in the middle of at a camera. You gotta like dead in
- 59:37the middle of that mirror in your mad froom. You gotta just take that
- 59:39peel of reality and stop lying yourself. I made him vow probably about three
- 59:45or four years ago, that the one person I would not lie to is
- 59:49me. I would stop lying at me. Yeah, yep, I gotta
- 59:55see it with my truth. Can't nobody trust me if I don't trust me?
- 1:00:00Wow? And nobody trust me if I don't trust me, which is
- 1:00:06why I trust started self developing trust his work. Trust is sometimes transactional.
- 1:00:14You said you're gonna show up at this time, but should up at this
- 1:00:16time? So kind I trust you're gonna be on time. And so it's
- 1:00:22all about still learning yourself and becoming aware. And so it's like one of
- 1:00:30my favorite quotes is what consumes you? Grooms you? What is consuming you?
- 1:00:35And how is it grooming you? If I consume my hamburger, I'm
- 1:00:39gonna have heart disease from McDonald's. If I concerned that my whole life,
- 1:00:42I'm gonna have heart disease, it's gonna be grown in me right. But
- 1:00:45if I consume the right food, is gonna grow me to be a healthy
- 1:00:49individual. What's consuming your mind? And how is it grooming your mom?
- 1:00:54And so those are things that we have to see with to ask ourselves.
- 1:00:59And we first trust our be so quick to run other people to get other
- 1:01:05people to want to trust us because we never got validation as a child,
- 1:01:08so now we're seeking it as an adult that we never even thought about trusting
- 1:01:15our sil When we say we're gonna do something for us, do we even
- 1:01:19do it for us? We say we're gonna show a fly silk or fly
- 1:01:23our silk. So it makes it allow harder to trust you. If I
- 1:01:27don't even trust me, it really ain't got nothing new with you. I
- 1:01:30don't trust me, And so when we talk about trusting and relationship, then
- 1:01:38it's where it start. One of my I called him my mentor, but
- 1:01:43he did diaristed soul doctor Miles Moro, like that's my guy. Like I
- 1:01:52wish he was still allie today. I ain't gonnain't keep it, but that's
- 1:01:55my guy. And one of the things he said about marriage, he was
- 1:02:00like, Brad, it's missed me. Help. He said that if you
- 1:02:04get married at thirty, theyn't get married at thirty, that sixty years coming
- 1:02:08together they aren't the numb about each other. M while there's sixty years merging
- 1:02:15together that knows nothing about each other. You could you saying I do to
- 1:02:22everything you don't know? You are saying I do to everything you don't know.
- 1:02:30So then you trust yourself enough. Did you believe that you can evolve
- 1:02:37within the relationship and it submit and be under submission and be under the calling
- 1:02:45on the relationship with God and the relationship with your partner. Do you trust
- 1:02:52in that? And I think that's what we have to start, Like we
- 1:03:04have to start there, like we can't we can't skip steps, like we
- 1:03:10can't ignore we can we can't skip steps. We can't ignore it. But
- 1:03:17if you then skip steps, ask usself, where would you mean to back?
- 1:03:27And so I think to start trust in relationship, I think it's very
- 1:03:31practical for us to start without sail. He want some water? And how
- 1:03:45many times I get species? Not at all? Malvery, I'm it over
- 1:03:52here. Yeah, I know. I like to talk me and I have
- 1:03:55like a revelation on top revelations with the usis. I just feel like I'm
- 1:04:02in glass, like I really do, Like I don't know, I don't
- 1:04:06even know how to respond right now. Um one, I will say this
- 1:04:11though, um earlier you were talking about going through and you know, I
- 1:04:18see stuff by bimpathy and THEO. You were talking about sketching stiff. So
- 1:04:28this brings it back to you said you can't go around it, you have
- 1:04:32to go through it. And the Bible even talk us about what Jesus says,
- 1:04:36no one can come to the Father except through me, right. So
- 1:04:41it's a lot of through in the in the Bibles. Even when you think
- 1:04:45about um, the Israelites, Yeah, you can get to the promise,
- 1:04:48but through the wilderness. Man that that just told me right there when I
- 1:04:54said it. And so it's like your level or your not short inability because
- 1:05:01we're all able to go through because God, because God is able when he
- 1:05:05created us in his image, that image of his power belongs to us to
- 1:05:10right. So we have the power of the authority and the dominion to go
- 1:05:13through everything, to to step on step on serpent's head. We have that
- 1:05:17power. We can we can go through anything. And not only that.
- 1:05:20And just watch this, I even see hear the lords say, not only
- 1:05:24to go through it, but I provide the for the th earth. Because
- 1:05:28when we were talking about manna, it is what it is like, it
- 1:05:30is what it is. And God provided manna in the wilderness process. He
- 1:05:35provided what was needed to get through to the promised land. Right. And
- 1:05:41so when we say, hey, I am, it's not the inability to
- 1:05:45go through, but it's the unwillingness to go through. And so that goes
- 1:05:48back to what you were talking about heart posture. Man, what you said.
- 1:05:54It was so good When you just finished that, all I thought about
- 1:05:57was strong enough along the mill? What in me? Are you gonna be
- 1:06:01strong enough long enough? Yit like? Are you gonna be stronger than the
- 1:06:11long enough to get through? And I want to go to the Bible app
- 1:06:15right, queen, just because you know, not even worse it out to
- 1:06:21fall and it's and it's because, like these the folks on on the podcast,
- 1:06:29I ain't gonna there to see what I just mean, y'all if y'all
- 1:06:30listening right now. So I'm gonna tell you, Oh why, God,
- 1:06:36I don't know what this game me. So So we're in Ecclesiastics, chapter
- 1:06:43eight, verse fourteen, and m they said, and this is not all
- 1:06:49that is meaningless in our world. In this life, good people are often
- 1:06:55treated as though they were wicked, and wicked people are often treated as though
- 1:07:01they were good. This is so meaningless. So I recommend having fun,
- 1:07:08because there's nothing better for people in this world than to eat, drink,
- 1:07:12and enjoy life. That way, they will experience some happiness along with all
- 1:07:18the hard work God gives them under the sun. There's Ecclesiastic chapter eight,
- 1:07:24verse fourteen and fifteen and New translation version. And the reason why I wanted
- 1:07:29to read that is because some people think because they are good people, bad
- 1:07:32things won't happen. And it's good people. We have to understand that it's
- 1:07:42an ugly part in the Gospel, and it's good people we have to be.
- 1:07:48We have to pray on the going through. We have to pray to
- 1:07:55be strong enough long enough to receive what God has for you. Is it
- 1:08:03fair? I never seem to win to fair one time in the Bible,
- 1:08:06and somebody to find it for it the fairies for animals where they judge pigs
- 1:08:11and cows. So let's just take that out of bivocabul. They're fair eno
- 1:08:15unfair right? And so it just that was a revelation for me when I
- 1:08:19rid because I'm like, God, I'm a good person. Why this happening
- 1:08:23me? I like, I'm care of you good. I need you to
- 1:08:28be for me and lead my people and pray on going through. So are
- 1:08:34you going to be strong enough long enough? I was cutting in grass this
- 1:08:38morning and I was thinking about why do companies want people that are resilient?
- 1:08:45I thought about like, what is resiliency. It's the ability to be able
- 1:08:47to bounce back into respond. Right. But the way you become successful is
- 1:08:53being consistently resilient. If you're resilient just one time, then they tie,
- 1:08:59they gonna knock yea one. So are we consistently resilient with our walk with
- 1:09:04God? That would lead us to be strong enough, longer enough, and
- 1:09:10have the belief and the obedience to get to the promised land. That's so
- 1:09:14good. I was, well, I think we were talking about this,
- 1:09:16probably a couple of weeks ago desertate. Um about big picture thinking in the
- 1:09:20danger of it because we were talking about light or something like that. Um,
- 1:09:30I know, I'm a big I see I see it as a right
- 1:09:33up saying how I see the picture that I was. Yeah. So we
- 1:09:39were talking about how our relationship is working. Because I apology. I was
- 1:09:43like, I don't want to come off this, you know whatever, you
- 1:09:45know, I still I'm worried about everything. But she was like, no,
- 1:09:49Um, this is good for me because I am learning how to zone
- 1:09:54in on the details right, and what one thing that we don't like to
- 1:09:59do, we like for everything to be told to us. We won't thank
- 1:10:00you. Oh, the spirit, the same power that resides and him resides
- 1:10:04in us. And so if he's giving us the power, thank you.
- 1:10:08So when you watch this video, this is a shameless plug, and you
- 1:10:12have not watched the there's a simmon or a Bible teaching that a Bishop Teening
- 1:10:17Jakeson just did. Um this pass Niku, and it's called the power to
- 1:10:23stop y'all. When I tell you, I was on the airplane bawling like
- 1:10:31bawling. And one of the things he talks about um in Joshua I know
- 1:10:36you love Joshua. Um. He came from Joshua five one through fifteen,
- 1:10:42and one of the areas of that of that passage, he was talking about
- 1:10:48how the manner ceased and they were forced to eat I think the meals of
- 1:10:56the Canaanite, right, And so his reverlation of that was that you are
- 1:11:02so used to looking up now into to look out. So I'm changing your
- 1:11:09focal point. I'm changing where you from what now. Yeah, I'm the
- 1:11:14daughter from vision, but I'm also the God of provision. I'm the god
- 1:11:20I can I can drop it down, but I can also give make you
- 1:11:25a farmer. I can make you I can make you appreciate what I've already
- 1:11:29done. I want to see. I want you to see outwardly, because
- 1:11:31the promise ain't right, the promise coming right or the promise scholars are right,
- 1:11:35the vision, the promise coming from the forward movement and for or thinking
- 1:11:39forward, gathering right. And so as I'm as I'm repositioning you as you're
- 1:11:45going through this process. As he talked about the mouth and manner and the
- 1:11:47method y'all have, y'all, I'm not I cannot go into this, but
- 1:11:53he talked so good. But that was one thing that he spoke on.
- 1:11:57He said, God is what the direction is God providing. If you're still
- 1:12:01looking up, you're missing the outwardly provision. He ceased that, because that's
- 1:12:06what you needed. That was who That was the provision of the wilderness.
- 1:12:11And when you're no longer in the wilderness and you have no vision right,
- 1:12:15you have no understanding of who you are because oh watch this, let's talk
- 1:12:19about it. The first chapter of Joshua grid what does he say? He
- 1:12:24says, um yo, Joshua, most of the dead, and you are
- 1:12:30now the leader. I mean you to be bold and courageous. He said
- 1:12:38it three times, Grid, he said it three times. He called him
- 1:12:43one beautiful thing. I love about it. And now we've talked about this
- 1:12:45and first season he calls Joshua's name first. Then he gives them the command
- 1:12:53what does the name do? What do we just do? We're talking about
- 1:12:55what does the name mean or whatever? The name just solidifies the identify identity.
- 1:13:00So it's important for you to understand what your name is because at the
- 1:13:02time, every time you say Jessica, you say woman or will thank you
- 1:13:05for the thank you for the reminder. And so he says, Joshua,
- 1:13:12be bald, andreage, courageous, woman of wealth, Jessica be bold and
- 1:13:16courages being bald. And what I'm already called you club? What did that
- 1:13:20say? What calling? And purpose over identity? My calling? This should
- 1:13:29my name? And then take it? Take it one more still? Safety
- 1:13:35man another stuff. Nah, people fail to realize that just because you were
- 1:13:43a leader, that's not meanly, that sometimes you're not afraid. Let's talk
- 1:13:48that talk and what people miss died also told Moses to mean bold and courage.
- 1:14:00Oh wow, Moses was Joshua's mentor. That's so good. So at
- 1:14:06a certain point in Moses journey. When Moses was supposed to be leaving them
- 1:14:12to the Promised Land. He also had to hear, do not be timid.
- 1:14:16What am I saying? This for parents, as for leaders, this
- 1:14:21for husband and wives and anybody they're doing anything with people? Everybody needs the
- 1:14:30validation to be bold and correct. And you cannot miss the opportunity to validate
- 1:14:36your people. Because what God really was doing, he was validating them.
- 1:14:43Not only was he seeing be bold and courageous. Watch this courage comes from
- 1:14:47within. And God said, he saved me bold and created He said,
- 1:14:51being bold and courreated because I am with you and in you. So he
- 1:14:57is saying, call upon the power of me, because courage comes from the
- 1:15:00inside. So I am validating my power within you. You didn't rot in
- 1:15:09the rouse, You didn't rot that thing around already? Will God? Because
- 1:15:15because what I had to realize was especially as men, Yeah, especially as
- 1:15:20men. It is not many women that validate their men. They tell you
- 1:15:27everything you're doing right, but don't tell you when you finally get it right,
- 1:15:33you're speaking right. And so what God did for Moses and Joshua,
- 1:15:41even when they missed up, even when they did wrong, even when they
- 1:15:45always wasn't in the right, he said, being bold and curates. And
- 1:15:49I am still with you and in you because courage comes from within you.
- 1:15:54So I am validate the power within you through your right and your wrongs.
- 1:15:59I still validate you because the validation is what push you over the talk man
- 1:16:06it. So it was like he validated Joshua. He sold Joshua to me
- 1:16:13bold and courageous, but he always felt told his mentor at some point to
- 1:16:15vote and courageous. What does that mean? That meaning leadership? You will
- 1:16:19get afraid, but do you have the ability to do it afraid? Because
- 1:16:25the pure definition of courage is doing it afraid. So what does that mean?
- 1:16:30That mean I'm not allowing the spirit of fear to track because I'm going
- 1:16:34to do it afraid. Jesus was hungry, and then delb Wood tried to
- 1:16:45tempt him. But how did he fight spiritual warfare scripture? He fought it
- 1:16:55with scripture. He fought the war of any warfare with the devil with real
- 1:17:02and bullet coal scripture. And he did it. And he was supposed to
- 1:17:05bear his weakest bloody any just the who you have they talked, little up
- 1:17:14of collegis to talk about um recognizing the NY tactics at least suck. And
- 1:17:20it's like if I'm not if if this is his own, if I need
- 1:17:28to go ahead, I'm not grounded in the word that I don't become sensitive
- 1:17:34to the spirit, so I'm not even unware of what's trying to attack me.
- 1:17:42So I can't You can't hear what you can't see. And one of
- 1:17:45the things that doctor Mark and I Roll talk that I thought that were just
- 1:17:49so good. The prayer said that I candom come on earth as it is
- 1:17:59in heav kingdom is coming to earth. What is a kingdom? A kingdom
- 1:18:03is a government with a corporate structure. So God has a kingdom, the
- 1:18:14en of Me has his own kingdom. How can you It's like you trying
- 1:18:18to go to war Russia by yourself. That's man. But but see,
- 1:18:25once you become a part of the military and army and y'all moved together,
- 1:18:30you may defeat. And so if you're not moving within a kingdom, how
- 1:18:34do you expect to defeat the in it? And that's why we have to
- 1:18:43be grounded in their foundation because it is Nig's level spiritual warfare. It's so
- 1:18:53it's so interesting here all about deals or y'all just don't know. Man.
- 1:18:58First of all, this is having definitely turned it to the Greek and show
- 1:19:01or jiggle and jip, Greg, whatever, what we're gonna call your podcast?
- 1:19:06My god, this is the introduction of his podcast. We're gonna we're
- 1:19:11gonna let y'all know when he come out. We all am you better property.
- 1:19:18We donna let you know his podcast come out. But we're not already
- 1:19:23talked about them. Oh what was called all that? Close your eyes?
- 1:19:30It's a little to your eyes into a market deree. Oh Man, listen,
- 1:19:43Greg, I know I think this is um. It's so rewarding.
- 1:19:46Um now that I didn't think you want you say that, Well, I
- 1:19:51gotta give your flowers. Oh, because if I'm being if I'm being transparent,
- 1:20:00you are actually one of the reasons that I started going deeper into my
- 1:20:08faith to even get to this point. You was like an accelerant for me
- 1:20:15to be able to get there, the excelerant to put on the fire that
- 1:20:17I had any that I did not know I had in me. You talked
- 1:20:21about a prophecy earlier you gave me. That's not the one I remember The
- 1:20:27one I remember is when you told me that I was going to build communities
- 1:20:32and I was going to be a leader of communities, and foolish me,
- 1:20:36I thought that man real estate. But when you see it, go be
- 1:20:43a fisherman of men. It was prophesying over me to go be a fisherman
- 1:20:46of men, for me to build not just physical structural community, but to
- 1:20:57help build people while people are so helped build me. And when you said
- 1:21:03that, I'm like, how am I supposed to do that? Like?
- 1:21:09How am I supposed to go build an apartment complex tomorrow? Fool Ish me
- 1:21:14tod when talking about apartment complex, at least not right now, he wasn't.
- 1:21:18And so I have to thank you for being obedient when you didn't want
- 1:21:23to, when it was hard, when you were crime, when you were
- 1:21:29struggling, when you was at a place where you didn't even know if you
- 1:21:32want to trust God, you were still turning there and you're still pray over.
- 1:21:38You were still speak of prophecy, and then you were It doesn't line,
- 1:21:43And I just want to thank you. And that's why I think community
- 1:21:48is so powerful. You cannot have community without unity. That's so good.
- 1:21:55And so I think that's so powerful to be unified within the kingdom, being
- 1:22:00obedient in your blessings and in your power. You're anointing in your guilt even
- 1:22:04when you're not fully trusting it, because that's the definition of faith, right,
- 1:22:11And I just want to say thank you because I needed that push.
- 1:22:15I'm not one I grew up being churches where I didn't trust the physical building
- 1:22:20the church. So I had started kind of losing the thought of church.
- 1:22:27And so it was like when you made me realize that I could pick up
- 1:22:30a bob of myself and go just start reading. Because I'm gonna tell you
- 1:22:35what did it for me. You was reading I think Samuel and Samuel like
- 1:22:42four thousand chapters. Okay, that's true. And like, bro, she
- 1:22:49did not miss a day day if she had on far from God? Like
- 1:22:58what am I doing I supposed to be leading? Huh he No way I
- 1:23:01can. And full transparency moment here, and I want y'all to like she
- 1:23:08talked about the weakness of your relationship. What she didn't bring up the very
- 1:23:14first time me and justicammit in person to have longer than a two minute conversation.
- 1:23:19It was when she was signing her contract to become a manager. Always
- 1:23:25the same him location, and our the lead manager. She was the co
- 1:23:30manager with me and um our manager was in there. Our leader was in
- 1:23:35there. Oh my god, that's our first time. Me and listen like
- 1:23:39talker with two minutes. And he looks over at her. He looks over
- 1:23:43at me, he says, and you're gonna be comfortable with her making more
- 1:23:45money even though you're gonna be teaching her right. And at fair point,
- 1:23:49I knew the relationship would be different because I knew I was not in her
- 1:23:55life and she was not in my life for money, right. And sometimes
- 1:24:00it's hard to leave when you feel like the person you leave it's making more
- 1:24:04to heal, and when you don't allow money to get in the way of
- 1:24:10what God has for you and what God has for them. Because guess what
- 1:24:14I could have went into a scarcity in mindset and being upset. Instead,
- 1:24:18we looked their ways to make both our chicks bill right. And so I
- 1:24:24just want to say that because I want to paint the guy. I want
- 1:24:27to give you context of a full relationship on she was making. She made
- 1:24:32more than me the whole time he worked to go And I just want to
- 1:24:35get that context because even with it, I saw a thing she was doing
- 1:24:41within the spirit that pushed me to want to get stronger in the spirit.
- 1:24:49And so I just want to I just want to publicly to say I hadn't
- 1:24:53told you this off camera before. What I want to I want to publicly
- 1:25:00give you your flowers and I want to help will be saying thank you because
- 1:25:03we all need people to push us, like I know you saying Dean Gregg
- 1:25:10riding and you making me sound better than what I am amazing. But the
- 1:25:15reality is I'm not mean without people like you, but that people like my
- 1:25:19wife, my brother, my sister, my mom my dad, like I
- 1:25:24have to pay homage, I have to get honor, and I have to
- 1:25:28give credit with credit due, right, So I just wanted to say thank
- 1:25:32you. Um we just said conversation so about the heart pump banging. Yeah,
- 1:25:44so you received that. I am and I'm so one thing that Gregg
- 1:25:48and I'm gonna try to say this about current. One thing that Gregg is
- 1:25:53working with me on isn't my transparency, and so I'm about to be transparent.
- 1:26:00I's trying to get oh oof. So, like he said, he
- 1:26:14said this before Um, I think the time and of it. Even now
- 1:26:17my eyes are watering up having a tim roll swalman like shout, oh I
- 1:26:30can I can receive it because I can trust him. Um, I know
- 1:26:35he means it. He shows me that he means it. But even right
- 1:26:40now where I am spiritually, Um, we talk about transition, Lord Jesus,
- 1:26:48I'm trying to sit out my words right now, y'all. Great,
- 1:26:53great got it? Great cat come maybe once it for two years because I
- 1:26:57didn't even going through in for seas what God? Um, So as much
- 1:27:05as he's talking about this woman, then hum showed up and was, in
- 1:27:14my word and um, motivating somebody. I obviously I admire him, like
- 1:27:21this is genuine like this this ain't no whn't do She walked in the doe
- 1:27:26and were in each other face Like, oh, well, this is a
- 1:27:30genuine relationship with somebody I admire. And you you take me back to a
- 1:27:35place. Um, you take me back to a place where I was fighting,
- 1:27:44and I don't won't say fighting, but I was then to know God.
- 1:27:46And it's I'm honest, if I'm honest in this space of transition,
- 1:27:51in this wilderness season, I mean, like see like I'm losing you.
- 1:27:57You know, I feel like I'm so like they ain't that cheek no more,
- 1:28:01you know what I'm saying, And um us to be able to have
- 1:28:05this conversation and when you to remind me or sold me, use me,
- 1:28:10you were so committed, but then you still see the committed woman and you
- 1:28:14know that first one words of affirmation is I love like with stuff like,
- 1:28:19oh, but I needed to see that woman again. You gave me a
- 1:28:26vision of that woman again. I haven't been able to see her and I've
- 1:28:30been able to see the woman that could even though I've been doing it,
- 1:28:34but I just couldn't see it, and just being in that space of frustrating,
- 1:28:41like I can, I'm getta get on this podcast and I'm at you
- 1:28:44know, I'm not even trying to act like I'm okay or whatever. I'm
- 1:28:46not trying to have good conversation like because this watch this walking in purpose is
- 1:28:53a healing point for people sometimes, you know, thank you all the spirit
- 1:28:57I told you don't bring this up. And so it's a difference. It's
- 1:29:02there's a difference between walking on purpose or b or walking on purpose and being
- 1:29:10a walking in purpose or let me for a phrase that purpose purposefully healing and
- 1:29:18in purpose in healing or healing in purpose. So that's why, so purposefully
- 1:29:24healing and healing in purpose, so purposefully healing you have an opposite to do
- 1:29:29it like in your in your in your season of where you weren't really speaking
- 1:29:32or doing out this. You sought out therapy, you sought out um counseling,
- 1:29:36you sought out ways to help and develop yourself. But I feel like
- 1:29:41I'm on the other side. I am God is not allowing me to sit
- 1:29:45down and heal. He's like, No, you're gonna walk this thing out
- 1:29:49and you're gonna you're gonna expose. You're gonna do jess as you're gonna do
- 1:29:53naturally evoting, You're gonna raise the money for a Love Lady Center, You're
- 1:29:57gonna promote, and you're gonna go to school, and you're gonna do this
- 1:30:00as you heal. Because I'm the typing person, I guess honestly that if
- 1:30:08he takes that moment away from me and I don't and I don't have anything
- 1:30:11to do, I'm krish right, And it's not in the doing, it's
- 1:30:15the way he allows me to do because he shut everything that I think I
- 1:30:19want to do, Like even right now, Nationally Voted has not come out
- 1:30:23this year. He shut that down. So Nationally the Voted is a magazine.
- 1:30:29I think I spreading it, know the episode, but for the folks
- 1:30:32that watch it just because grig head, but it is a quarterly magazine.
- 1:30:42It's mine, it is it is mine, is my magazine promoting women entrepreneurs
- 1:30:48in the Kingdom right um. And so I haven't been able to do that
- 1:30:56because I haven't been permitted to the only thing that I've been permitted to do
- 1:31:00is just as go to school, go to work. I'm not even from
- 1:31:04me in this in this current moment as I speak. I joined the church
- 1:31:09there tet it so me my church, and I even talked to my pastors,
- 1:31:15and I love them. I loved them. And one of the things
- 1:31:17that they said to me when in a one on one, one on one
- 1:31:21that I'll take with me forever is that we're not only concerned with the woman
- 1:31:26of God, but we're concerned with the woman who and I've never we talked
- 1:31:34to something good. We're talking the life thongs that look, man, my
- 1:31:41path is so on and they ain't turning in life thong from one path so
- 1:31:46on that they started life out over here. I'm just saying. My patients
- 1:31:50say they name just seeing what they see, but they they talk to me
- 1:31:58about not only care about the woman a God, because the woman a God
- 1:32:02benefits everybody, right, everybody, that's stuff. Thank you all the spirit
- 1:32:10that's the gial. The woman of God is the give. The woman is
- 1:32:15good receiver. And so um, I'm not gonna say that, but we
- 1:32:27have to be mindful of who and dealing with because we'll misconstrue um and say,
- 1:32:35oh, you're not a woman of God because the woman isn't healing.
- 1:32:41And so the place in place that I'm in is understanding the woman to enhance
- 1:32:46the woman of God. I'm so good. That's so good because I'll come
- 1:32:55to the realization that enough is never enough. And then no matter what level
- 1:33:02you think you're at, egg the gold post will always move. So even
- 1:33:09when you feel like the woman is here from this, oh hell, you're
- 1:33:15gonna have something else. But I want to I want to like through your
- 1:33:17story, I notice that you're seeing you're struggling with God right now. But
- 1:33:24then you come back and say what you permitted to do so, even through
- 1:33:28your struggle, you under the column because you because you are submitting to what
- 1:33:35he's telling you to do so, because of your foundation, because of the
- 1:33:41work you put in all of that time, because of the word that you
- 1:33:45have to stand upon. Even then when you're struggling, you submitted. I
- 1:33:51just gotta choose. But it's because of the prior work. When I say
- 1:33:58enough is never enough. What I mean is we're not gonna be done until
- 1:34:02he's saying you are done, my good and faithful servant. So the bar
- 1:34:05will always move. But just because the bar is moved, it does not
- 1:34:10negate the work that we previously did, no matter what season that you were
- 1:34:15headed. So so the work that you need, the field that you laid,
- 1:34:21watch this you We listened to bamboo season Yeah at the time now and
- 1:34:28he said that it takes a bamboo three years before coming above ground. But
- 1:34:32if you never plant the scene, then bamboo will never grow. Yeah,
- 1:34:36you have you planned seeing back then is growing now and is growing in the
- 1:34:43season where you conflicted, and the season of confliction you having, you are
- 1:34:49you are being harvest of your submission. You're being harvest of your permission.
- 1:34:56You're even harvest over your faith. You're being let particular harvest is going to
- 1:35:01carrying through your healing. But those were seen that you're planned and ground.
- 1:35:09It may not have been so fertile three or four years ago, but now
- 1:35:15you're starting to have their fruit. The self or where part comes in being
- 1:35:21able to identify that you played at those seeds and resume you have to receive
- 1:35:30the fruit and not underestimate a dream deferred because those seeds were deferred for a
- 1:35:41different season because all that it was planted, they was not meant to bloom
- 1:35:45in the season that that was in. So just because you plan a seed
- 1:35:51in marsh doesn't mean it's gonna bloom in April. It's gonna blow and it's
- 1:35:57time to bloom. But in order for the bloom, we got a cultivating
- 1:36:00water and take care of their seat. So that's what you have been doing.
- 1:36:02And now you're going through a certain healing season. God's sending your validation,
- 1:36:06He's sending you reminders. He's sending you those fruit of those seeds that
- 1:36:13your planet beats as you were faithful to His word. That's so power um.
- 1:36:24It takes me back to it is what it is like, you can't
- 1:36:27make a bamboo grow faster than what it's designed to do. You can't.
- 1:36:33You can't make a tree, even a tree like it looks like tweegs.
- 1:36:39It looks like nothing when it first started development. All right, it looks
- 1:36:43weak. That's the hardest part, right, It looks weak. It looks
- 1:36:46weak. It looks like it's not gonna be anything. But when it grows,
- 1:36:54and then you know another thing. A homeboy challenged me on another just
- 1:36:57last week, and he's seen my growth or whatnot. And I was like,
- 1:37:04yeah, man, I'm trying to if somebody allowed me to help them,
- 1:37:08I think I can help them. And he said, he said,
- 1:37:12be careful in your pride when you feel like you get him a depth in
- 1:37:17the word of God, because the devil we used it against you, because
- 1:37:21he will bring up our pride and lead that to arrogance, to thinking that
- 1:37:28we the only ones that can help somebody in and make us get in the
- 1:37:31way of being receiving help. Right and so and so, what I'm saying
- 1:37:40right now, while we in the wilderness, why do we think we so
- 1:37:45special that God won't help us? So it's like, isn't that a level
- 1:37:53of we arrogance or I n thinking that we the only one that can pull
- 1:37:59up, or of us not trust to him. I'm feelingly trying to share
- 1:38:06you something. Let's share something with you. Oh, reading a devotional with
- 1:38:16my family. Okay, thank you for letting me know that, because we're
- 1:38:26gonna put a pain in it. Oh, oh God, he got me
- 1:38:33nervous. Great, great, got me nervous. I knew, I knew.
- 1:38:41I knew, but I played myself. I knew, but I played
- 1:38:45myself. You feel me, Oh, it's probably meant for me to share
- 1:38:59this with you, praying really then, Oh yeah, we're gonna but we're
- 1:39:04gonna put a pen in this. I'm gonna ask you to come back.
- 1:39:13I'm gonna ask you to come back because um you your voice, that the
- 1:39:24not all it I need. But you know how And this is a good
- 1:39:29example. I feel like Tim Ross was a voice for Mike Todd when Mike
- 1:39:33Todd with pastor Mike Todd got to the position where he was he couldn't expose
- 1:39:40the voices that develop him and now the beneficiary, he's the beneficiary of of
- 1:39:46the Mike Todd's um escalation on right and exposure but Mike Todd honor him and
- 1:39:54reserved her so much that he said, no, it can't just be me.
- 1:39:56Y'all gotta know where it comes from. And now Tim Ross has his
- 1:39:59own platform I can relate today. Mmm. So no matter where I go,
- 1:40:06you go with me, my dog that sits about man each one?
- 1:40:13Yeah, yeah, like you you. I'm letting if we try its old
- 1:40:18hamil wafter soa we got it on. We get it am rig rally the
- 1:40:21shirt if y'all see me, y'll see this logo, y'all see me.
- 1:40:26It's a representation to me yo. Man, Like we've been talking for a
- 1:40:31minute. Um, I know y'all gonna ask. I already know they gonna
- 1:40:35ask some more. Um So just let I'm gonna let you see the deal
- 1:40:42before I close out. What's it? Out of everything we talked about in
- 1:40:45this session and these last few moments, what is the one thing that you
- 1:40:49want to leave with the people? Seven? Development? We talked about going
- 1:40:57pro in life. The start with self development. What consumes your grooms you?
- 1:41:00What is consuming you? How is it growing with you? And you
- 1:41:04have to expose yourself to different things because exposure equals expansion. What are you
- 1:41:11being exposed to and how is it expanding you? And so we have to
- 1:41:15be intentional with anything and everything that we allow ourselves to absorb, because they
- 1:41:21lead to us having trust issues, lead to us not being able to be
- 1:41:27obedient, or lead to us being able to struggle inside of relationships because they
- 1:41:31lead to us not being self aware. So we will not have choices.
- 1:41:36And so if I can lead me with anything today is what's consuming you?
- 1:41:42And how is it grown me? You? And on that no, you,
- 1:41:45guys, I hope you enjoyed it. I will be putting his his
- 1:41:50information and the bios whatever we got. You got my mind so messed up,
- 1:41:57y'all. I'm trying to figure out how he's gonna close this. But
- 1:42:00y'all, until next week. Remember, life can be much more simple if
- 1:42:05you just ask. I'll see your letter. Hey, y'all, thank you
- 1:42:14for listening to just ask. If you enjoyed this experience, be sure to
