Hey, this is Daniel W. Treck Cast. So this is my quick
• 0:09
reaction for Discovery the premiere episodes of season five, episodes one and two.
• 0:16
I just finished watching them. Man, it's gonna be spoilers here, guys,
• 0:23
but I gotta say I actually really enjoyed the episodes. I think they
• 0:27
were really well done. I think one of the big criticisms that we've had
• 0:31
for Discovery has been that it's been very into its feelings. But I think
• 0:36
that they have made a pretty good balance, at least in these two episodes
• 0:40
with the feelings and the action. They've also done a better job of showing
• 0:45
the characters in distress and dealing with their emotions before just coming out and having
• 0:52
long tangents about their emotions and what's going on. So it's given us the
• 0:56
opportunity as the audience to invest into the characters bar So, I really do
• 1:00
enjoy that. It's great to see Booker back so early in the season.
• 1:04
I know that we only have ten episodes total and we're already down to two
• 1:07
down two in so eight left, so it is exciting. The mysteries a
• 1:15
little bit of a treasure hunt. I do like that they have it seems
• 1:19
like they've segmented it off and there's five components to the to the map that
• 1:23
they're looking for, and they've already found two. So that's good. But
• 1:29
I am excited to see where this goes. Hopefully it does continue. I
• 1:32
do love that they tied it into TNG. I think that was a smart
• 1:34
move and I think it's great that they did that. I also like that
• 1:38
they have seemed to have found their own Captain Shaw kind of. They definitely
• 1:44
took that character archetype and put it into Discovery. But you know, I
• 1:48
can't wait to talk to more about this on Sunday. I can't wait to
• 1:52
talk about it with Scott and Dan about it a little bit more. So
• 1:55
we will see you this Sunday as we talk about season five Star Trek Discovery
