Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: I'm Thomas. Why you're listening to Fish on first on
- 0:02Speaker 1: Foul's territory.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Network, Fish and Filtered, episode one oh nine. We're here
- 0:25Speaker 2: joined by Clayton McCallum, manager of the red hot Miami Marlins,
- 0:29Speaker 2: who have a fourteen and four record in the month
- 0:31Speaker 2: of June. Clayton, how are you doing? I know there's
- 0:33Speaker 2: a lot to get into. Just what's this month?
- 0:35Speaker 3: Then?
- 0:36Speaker 2: Like, how fun has it been just coming? I'm sure
- 0:38Speaker 2: it's a little more fun to coming to work when
- 0:39Speaker 2: the team is playing as good as they have.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Good morning, guys, Fun to visit with you again, and certain,
- 0:45Speaker 3: I mean, winning is a lot more fun than losing.
- 0:48Speaker 3: So it's been a it's been a good month so far,
- 0:52Speaker 3: and yeah, a long way to go, but it has
- 0:55Speaker 3: it's been. Guys are in a good spot right now
- 0:58Speaker 3: and you know, really enjoying coming to the ballpark.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Plan Obviously, the big news yesterday was that the Miami
- 1:04Speaker 2: Marls designated Christopher Morele for assignment, activating Griffin Cone. I
- 1:08Speaker 2: just talked about, you know, unfortunately the tough move to
- 1:11Speaker 2: move on from Morale, who the team signed to a
- 1:13Speaker 2: to a one year contract this past offseason, and why
- 1:17Speaker 2: just do you don't think it ended up working out
- 1:18Speaker 2: for him here, Yeah.
- 1:20Speaker 3: It was tough, so I mean I think, you know,
- 1:24Speaker 3: going into it, the hope was that you know, Christopher
- 1:27Speaker 3: could come in and he still he still hit the
- 1:30Speaker 3: ball hard, you know, had bat speed, maybe catch lighting
- 1:33Speaker 3: in a bottle. This situation helps him be a little
- 1:38Speaker 3: bit more productive than he has the last few years.
- 1:41Speaker 3: He's still a talented person and took to first base,
- 1:45Speaker 3: was open to that, and it just you know, unfortunately
- 1:49Speaker 3: the the oblique opening day. Poor guy misses opening day
- 1:52Speaker 3: with that on the shelf for a little while, you know.
- 1:54Speaker 3: And when he came back, Kevin, I did want to
- 1:57Speaker 3: I think he deserved a shot, like to get us
- 2:01Speaker 3: some regular playing time, like we were counting on coming
- 2:02Speaker 3: into the season to to get regular at bats. And
- 2:05Speaker 3: then as the year went on, you know, earn what
- 2:07Speaker 3: you know what you get and he just you know,
- 2:11Speaker 3: no secret, he struggled, and he was a real pro
- 2:15Speaker 3: about everything. You know. We sat down week and a
- 2:17Speaker 3: half or so ago and just you know, I'd let
- 2:18Speaker 3: him know that his playing time was going to really
- 2:20Speaker 3: you know, be diminished here coming up that some other
- 2:22Speaker 3: players had had just performed it and and Chris understood that,
- 2:26Speaker 3: and so then then it's a really tough spot then
- 2:28Speaker 3: when you're not getting any type of regular opportunity and
- 2:32Speaker 3: the sample has already been somewhat limited. I think, you
- 2:34Speaker 3: know what, seventy five played appearances. Now, it's it's a
- 2:37Speaker 3: tough ass to crawl out of a hole. So that
- 2:40Speaker 3: part of it was difficult. But then also just felt
- 2:43Speaker 3: like that there were players on our roster currently that
- 2:45Speaker 3: were just playing very well, and you know, our best
- 2:48Speaker 3: chance to win to give those guys opportunity. And then
- 2:52Speaker 3: it's coincided with Griffin, you know, coming off the il.
- 2:55Speaker 3: So yeah, I think Chris, I mean, he was smiling
- 3:01Speaker 3: every day, he kept working, which I appreciate that, he
- 3:04Speaker 3: was pro about everything. It just was, you know, unfortunately
- 3:07Speaker 3: his time with us just the performance wasn't wasn't there?
- 3:12Speaker 2: Then obviously looking ahead Clayton, a lot of injuries currently
- 3:15Speaker 2: on the steamer a couple it's Junk, Yuri and Hicks
- 3:19Speaker 2: just and the updates on those guys. I think the
- 3:21Speaker 2: Hicks will may come me later in the week, but
- 3:22Speaker 2: at least Yuri and Junk, what's the latest on them?
- 3:26Speaker 3: Yeah, So Yuri will throw a pitch design today in
- 3:29Speaker 3: lone depot and following that pitch design with how he
- 3:33Speaker 3: feels and comes out of it, will determine where his
- 3:36Speaker 3: next appearance will will be. And with Junk, he was
- 3:41Speaker 3: around the team yesterday, came up for family day and
- 3:44Speaker 3: spent the day with us. He's scheduled to throw live
- 3:47Speaker 3: batting practice like two ups and thirty five pitches on Tuesday,
- 3:50Speaker 3: and next steps after that, you know, again this is
- 3:54Speaker 3: you know, assuming he comes out of it feels good,
- 3:57Speaker 3: would be looking to get some type of a rehab
- 4:00Speaker 3: you know, start appearance over the weekend. So that's those
- 4:05Speaker 3: two and then with Liam, Liam's gonna get some imaging
- 4:09Speaker 3: today on the bag just to you also try to
- 4:12Speaker 3: have a clear up picture and an idea what's going on.
- 4:14Speaker 3: He felt a little better yesterday. He was still stiff.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Some of the rotational moves still bothered him. We thought
- 4:20Speaker 3: it was just more prudent right now to take the
- 4:23Speaker 3: aisle stint, give this thing hopefully the minimum amount, calm down,
- 4:28Speaker 3: and you know, get back a healthy version of Liam,
- 4:32Speaker 3: because that's the one that you know has done some
- 4:34Speaker 3: really big things this year and the one that we're
- 4:36Speaker 3: gonna need moving forward to continue to stack up wins.
- 4:40Speaker 4: As far as Uri goes, do you guys, does the
- 4:43Speaker 4: location of where he's pitching, Like, you know in Saint
- 4:46Speaker 4: Louis it's going to be crazy hot. In Colorado and
- 4:48Speaker 4: the Sacramento those aren't the best places to pitch. Does
- 4:53Speaker 4: that come into a factor of when you want to
- 4:55Speaker 4: throw them to help him ease in? Not ease in,
- 4:58Speaker 4: but you know, give him the best chances of success,
- 5:00Speaker 4: especially coming off of injury.
- 5:03Speaker 3: It's a good question, age. I don't know, as we
- 5:05Speaker 3: talk about like the location, uh County, Colorado, we'll have
- 5:10Speaker 3: you know, guys will be drawing straws to see, you know,
- 5:12Speaker 3: who wants to take the ball there. So no, I
- 5:17Speaker 3: think it's as much health. I mean, and we've been
- 5:19Speaker 3: operating with you know a number of bullpen games or
- 5:23Speaker 3: you know, using some guys with bulk, and you know
- 5:25Speaker 3: there's potential that you know, Yuri a couple of days
- 5:27Speaker 3: from now has seventy pitches, say, and you know, in
- 5:32Speaker 3: some ways why not use those here if we feel
- 5:35Speaker 3: like he's healthy and and capable and then just continue
- 5:40Speaker 3: to you know, progress from there. So that's a possibility,
- 5:42Speaker 3: and I think the it was more about if Yuri's
- 5:46Speaker 3: healthy and can give us, you know, an amount within
- 5:52Speaker 3: an outing that we feel like, okay, because knowing that
- 5:54Speaker 3: you're gonna lose a picture when he comes back, something's
- 5:56Speaker 3: going to have to you know, have to happen. We've
- 5:59Speaker 3: be covered and and does he in a spot physically
- 6:02Speaker 3: to go out and compete in a major league game?
- 6:03Speaker 3: And I think those will be the deciding points more
- 6:07Speaker 3: than maybe the location. Clayton with the.
- 6:12Speaker 5: Sorry, with the afore mentioned injury to Hicks, I'm curious
- 6:15Speaker 5: if that make Star Wars practically the everyday first baseman
- 6:18Speaker 5: going forward until Hicks returns.
- 6:20Speaker 3: I think Star Wars will continue to get a number
- 6:22Speaker 3: of reps at first base. People still see Norby get
- 6:25Speaker 3: over there some and you know, and Griff could go
- 6:30Speaker 3: over there as well. But this does it potentially help
- 6:32Speaker 3: Griff as he gets you know, as he gets back.
- 6:35Speaker 3: I mean me, keep in mind, so he played three
- 6:36Speaker 3: rehab games, so he's he was ready to come back,
- 6:39Speaker 3: but there's also going to be some time for him
- 6:41Speaker 3: to get back, you know, used to playing on a
- 6:44Speaker 3: more regular basis, and potentially does some time at first
- 6:47Speaker 3: space help that transition is as well, We'll see. So yeah,
- 6:52Speaker 3: I think it will just continue to be kind of
- 6:53Speaker 3: split up, mostly between Kyle and Connor, potentially Griff here
- 6:59Speaker 3: in the you know, the meantime.
- 7:02Speaker 5: And then also a follow up to that, I guess is,
- 7:04Speaker 5: I'm sure you're just as enamored with Joe Mack as
- 7:07Speaker 5: we have been behind the plate and offensively, the pat's
- 7:09Speaker 5: coming together shading for more power. So my question is,
- 7:14Speaker 5: we see Ramirez, we know what he can do with
- 7:16Speaker 5: the bat, we sort of know what he can't do
- 7:19Speaker 5: with the glove. I'm curious this team has preached defensive
- 7:21Speaker 5: versatility all year long, why not with Gus.
- 7:26Speaker 3: We still think that Gus being able to catch is
- 7:29Speaker 3: a big part of his value, and so he's going
- 7:32Speaker 3: to continue to catch them in triple A. We have
- 7:34Speaker 3: had some internal discussions about the potential of exploring that
- 7:38Speaker 3: first base uh there, So there's definitely say that we
- 7:43Speaker 3: said it's a potential possibility. But then also that going
- 7:47Speaker 3: to moving away from the catcher position, that point is
- 7:49Speaker 3: it's it's not reversible like once we once we kick
- 7:52Speaker 3: the tires, then it's then it's done. And can Gus
- 7:55Speaker 3: still we believe I do, can Gus catch? You know,
- 8:00Speaker 3: x amount of games during the season, can he catch verse, left,
- 8:02Speaker 3: start games, verse left behind the plate? And that's value
- 8:07Speaker 3: And I mean to pull off first base every day
- 8:09Speaker 3: like you have to really hit and like just DH.
- 8:12Speaker 3: So there's also some how would Gus perform offensively if
- 8:16Speaker 3: you only focused on hitting? And Okay, like we don't
- 8:18Speaker 3: know that either, So we still feel like it's a
- 8:22Speaker 3: We're at a spot where we want to continue with
- 8:24Speaker 3: the catching progression. We want to keep that option open,
- 8:28Speaker 3: and I think the entire time we have been discussing
- 8:32Speaker 3: the possibility at some point where we do introduce or
- 8:35Speaker 3: reintroduce because he's played a little bit of first in
- 8:37Speaker 3: his earlier minor league days on that, but we haven't
- 8:40Speaker 3: had those conversations formally. Crats.

- 9:44Speaker 4: If you guys are fourteen and four in June, what's
- 9:49Speaker 4: what's the catalyst behind that? What's working? Is it just
- 9:53Speaker 4: a culmination of the hard work just kind of coming
- 9:56Speaker 4: to a head. Is it just right time or you
- 9:59Speaker 4: know what? What's the underlying reason for this team being
- 10:03Speaker 4: able to perform like they have in June?
- 10:06Speaker 3: Yeah? And I think you have to point to a
- 10:10Speaker 3: number of things. I think offensively this month we have
- 10:13Speaker 3: We've had some really good games. We've seen stours here
- 10:16Speaker 3: recently really pick it up. Auto has just been mister consistency.
- 10:22Speaker 3: But Barito has been really good this month. Ruiz has
- 10:25Speaker 3: been very good. So I think the Caseys and Joe
- 10:30Speaker 3: Mack have both So I think there's been offensively some
- 10:33Speaker 3: some real progress, and the pitching has been, for me phenomenal.
- 10:37Speaker 3: I think how so many individuals we've seen that have
- 10:40Speaker 3: just taken the ball whenever it's they've been called upon
- 10:44Speaker 3: to do it and whatever they're asked of and help
- 10:46Speaker 3: us navigate through a stretch where we had some guys down.
- 10:52Speaker 3: And then also, aj you've done that, you have to
- 10:54Speaker 3: you have to get lucky some too. I mean, Schmid
- 10:56Speaker 3: hit a ball yesterday in the eighth like if he
- 10:58Speaker 3: hits it twenty more feet the left, like it's it's
- 11:00Speaker 3: a home run. Uh, you know, you need some make
- 11:05Speaker 3: a great play. So I think during stretches like this,
- 11:08Speaker 3: you're also things you know kind of need to go
- 11:10Speaker 3: your way, and you you you play really well, like
- 11:14Speaker 3: which I do think we're playing well. I think we're
- 11:16Speaker 3: playing good baseball right now, and you get some things
- 11:19Speaker 3: to go your way. You're in a lot of games,
- 11:20Speaker 3: you have a chance for the one break in a
- 11:23Speaker 3: game to flip up on your side and now you
- 11:25Speaker 3: end up winning. So yeah, a lot going our way,
- 11:29Speaker 3: but I do think we're making a lot of our
- 11:30Speaker 3: own moments as well.
- 11:32Speaker 5: Yeah, it's even more impressive when you take into the
- 11:35Speaker 5: account the injuries to the starting rotation that you guys
- 11:37Speaker 5: have undergone. Right, So I'm just curious. Obviously you're excited
- 11:41Speaker 5: to get your back dunk maybe a little bit ways away,
- 11:43Speaker 5: but you how sustainable I guess is the bullpen games
- 11:46Speaker 5: because obviously you need them on the non bullpen games,
- 11:49Speaker 5: and be curious, will not require more roster. It was
- 11:51Speaker 5: just how much longer are you guys expected to be
- 11:54Speaker 5: using a bullpit day every fifth five days?
- 11:58Speaker 3: I mean, I know this has been a really hot
- 12:00Speaker 3: topping you guys, and you know we should go out
- 12:03Speaker 3: and find just someone that hey, just go find a starter, right,
- 12:07Speaker 3: just having the guy guy who started out a game
- 12:08Speaker 3: before has to be better than the potential options that
- 12:11Speaker 3: you might already have. And how long? How sustainable, Isaac,
- 12:16Speaker 3: I don't know, We've been running it now for three
- 12:18Speaker 3: weeks or so, whatever it is, we can you know,
- 12:21Speaker 3: continue in the near term to go do this. And
- 12:26Speaker 3: we felt like, look what happened. Happened Yep, Junk and
- 12:30Speaker 3: Yuri Boom basically down at the same time, and we
- 12:32Speaker 3: were still we were stretching Tyler out at that time,
- 12:35Speaker 3: and we thought, well, it's just try to get as
- 12:37Speaker 3: creative as we can with ways at which to try
- 12:39Speaker 3: to go win games. And I think we'll continue to
- 12:43Speaker 3: look at it that way, and certainly when Uri gets
- 12:45Speaker 3: back in the rotation, you know, we get jumped back,
- 12:47Speaker 3: we hope relatively soon, and things stabilize from that end
- 12:50Speaker 3: a little bit. But I think the near term, until
- 12:53Speaker 3: we get some of those guys back, we continue to
- 12:55Speaker 3: you know, if we have an open spot, run a
- 12:57Speaker 3: bullpen game, maybe open for guys, or you know, cut
- 13:01Speaker 3: guys short, depending on what we have available that day.
- 13:04Speaker 3: And it's really just coming into how do we think
- 13:06Speaker 3: is the best way to win today's game, and then
- 13:10Speaker 3: you know, we worry about tomorrow when we get there.
- 13:14Speaker 4: Talk about the mentality of the bullpen, I mean, because
- 13:18Speaker 4: you know, when you lose two starters like Uri and
- 13:22Speaker 4: Junk who have been producing and URI's starting to get
- 13:25Speaker 4: on the rise, and then you ask the bullpen to
- 13:28Speaker 4: cover all these innings and the way that they've risen
- 13:32Speaker 4: to the challenge.
- 13:32Speaker 3: I've been in the bullpens.
- 13:33Speaker 4: Where you go through stretches where you got to carry
- 13:36Speaker 4: some of the starting staff, maybe getting some short starts,
- 13:38Speaker 4: and it just seems like it bonds the bullpen even
- 13:41Speaker 4: tighter and everyone's like, all right, get on our back,
- 13:44Speaker 4: we're going and that's what's happening. So talk about like
- 13:46Speaker 4: the mindset of the bullpen right now and what it's
- 13:49Speaker 4: been able to do to help this team have a
- 13:51Speaker 4: great June.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Yeah, what you know better than any of us, a
- 13:55Speaker 3: Jaman what as a special group out there in the bullpen.
- 13:59Speaker 3: I mean, they're kind of like their own little tribe
- 14:02Speaker 3: within a team. And Brandon Man deserves a lot of
- 14:05Speaker 3: credit for this, I think. I mean more than just
- 14:07Speaker 3: this moment right now where guys are stepping up. Brandon
- 14:10Speaker 3: has created a culture in the bullpen where as much
- 14:13Speaker 3: as people don't like it, we don't have someone that
- 14:15Speaker 3: throws the seventh inning every day and this person throws
- 14:18Speaker 3: the eighth inning, and you know, we got okay, Pete's
- 14:21Speaker 3: going to close the majority of our games. But you know,
- 14:23Speaker 3: really these guys just go in and pitch, you know,
- 14:25Speaker 3: whenever they're called upon and I think Brandon has helped,
- 14:28Speaker 3: you know, create that mindset. And then you come in
- 14:32Speaker 3: now fast forward to where we are at this point
- 14:34Speaker 3: where yes, we are asking Lake Baker to start games
- 14:38Speaker 3: and two days later you're going to come close the
- 14:40Speaker 3: game that they're just willing to take on whatever's asked
- 14:44Speaker 3: of them and very unselfishly what's in the best interest
- 14:48Speaker 3: of the team. And they, yeah, they know the stakes.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Guys are within it. Calbus guys are aware, they know
- 14:54Speaker 3: yet we're running these games. There's gonna be a lot
- 14:56Speaker 3: of them that are used and it gets taxed and
- 14:58Speaker 3: you know the next day, guys are gonna have to
- 15:01Speaker 3: probably be asked to you know, going back to back
- 15:03Speaker 3: or and they've been great about they're also their communication
- 15:09Speaker 3: with Daniel Brandon to come up with how they're feeling,
- 15:10Speaker 3: and we take that into account. AJ you know, player
- 15:13Speaker 3: self reportings. We expect him to be honest. And if
- 15:16Speaker 3: guys say they're a little banged up, like we recognize
- 15:19Speaker 3: what they're going through, that will appreciate that and try
- 15:22Speaker 3: to take care of him as best we can. And
- 15:25Speaker 3: if guys say they can pitch, this is the big leagues,
- 15:27Speaker 3: and you say you can pitch, then if there's a
- 15:29Speaker 3: chance to go win a game, then you know we'll go,
- 15:32Speaker 3: We'll go do that. So but yes, they have been incredible,
- 15:38Speaker 3: and for me, it's it's the unselfishness they just you know,
- 15:41Speaker 3: John King, this guy will do anything and he has
- 15:45Speaker 3: and so you need you need guys, and you need
- 15:48Speaker 3: a group down there that all they care about is
- 15:50Speaker 3: is winning and protecting each other for this to work playing.
- 15:56Speaker 2: I'm curious with with Pete. I know one of the
- 16:00Speaker 2: big things when you guys saw him was like, hey,
- 16:02Speaker 2: maybe this guy could go three straight days. Still have
- 16:04Speaker 2: to happen, Maybe it happens later into the season. Was
- 16:08Speaker 2: he available potentially for that last game or do you
- 16:12Speaker 2: think that could have been an option for you guys
- 16:13Speaker 2: just to see what a three straight days of Pete
- 16:16Speaker 2: could look like. Or I was just still kind of
- 16:17Speaker 2: just having him settle back in after the iyele stint.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Yeah, he wasn't available yesterday. I think you know a
- 16:24Speaker 3: few factors. I mean it was tougher too that the
- 16:27Speaker 3: day game after a night given, so that is a
- 16:29Speaker 3: really short turnaround for guys, and not just Pete, but
- 16:31Speaker 3: I think a lot of our pitchers talk a lot
- 16:33Speaker 3: about there was just not as much recovery time. So
- 16:36Speaker 3: if we were going to do the three in a
- 16:37Speaker 3: row at this point, you know, we're still in June,
- 16:41Speaker 3: that would have been a tough one to ask to
- 16:42Speaker 3: turn around on a you know, day after night, on
- 16:45Speaker 3: a back to back and go three in a row.
- 16:47Speaker 3: So yeah, I think that those things will be on
- 16:51Speaker 3: the table, you know, Kevin, as we go. And we
- 16:53Speaker 3: also have to keep in mind we have over eighty
- 16:54Speaker 3: games left. I believe while it's been a great run
- 16:57Speaker 3: to start June, it's exciting like we have a lot
- 17:01Speaker 3: of baseball ahead of us, and so I think we're
- 17:04Speaker 3: to win and continue to win. It's going to take
- 17:07Speaker 3: days like yesterday where yep, okay late closed the game
- 17:09Speaker 3: and then we all felt great when lake I did
- 17:11Speaker 3: at least ran out there to close the game. And
- 17:14Speaker 3: you need those things to happen when you're going to
- 17:16Speaker 3: go and sustain stretches of winning, because you do you
- 17:19Speaker 3: have to use a lot of people when you're playing
- 17:21Speaker 3: tight games.
- 17:24Speaker 1: When my puppy Bella has something wrong, I'm not going
- 17:27Speaker 1: to go around googling what to do.
- 17:30Speaker 6: Yeah, Kratz, let's have a better plan. Today's episode is

- 18:22Speaker 6: in the business of insurance.
- 18:24Speaker 2: One guy I wanted to ask you about was Leo Himanas.
- 18:27Speaker 2: I know some fans have been frustrated by us to
- 18:29Speaker 2: play What have you seen from Leo. Obviously he's a
- 18:32Speaker 2: guy who you guys may be brought in to give
- 18:34Speaker 2: you some help against left handed pitching and use him
- 18:36Speaker 2: at third base to help you guys at that position.
- 18:38Speaker 2: What has he shown you guys so far and what
- 18:41Speaker 2: what is it that you guys are seeing him that
- 18:43Speaker 2: has allowed you to maybe put him a pretty pretty
- 18:45Speaker 2: high up in the lineup, maybe fourth, fifth spot sometimes
- 18:47Speaker 2: up there.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Yeah, So I think one thing to keep in mind
- 18:51Speaker 3: with with Laos mean he missed a ton of time
- 18:52Speaker 3: recently with injury one like to last year. So I
- 18:55Speaker 3: think this is, you know, we had the opportunity to
- 18:57Speaker 3: acquire Lao was that he had some under things that
- 19:01Speaker 3: we really value and see as like potentially being a
- 19:03Speaker 3: turned into a good major league player who and he's
- 19:05Speaker 3: still very young. He makes a ton of contact, he
- 19:08Speaker 3: makes good swing decisions, he has some defensive versatility. So
- 19:14Speaker 3: at that point, you know, taking a chance on acquiring
- 19:17Speaker 3: a player like Leo that you know that we could
- 19:21Speaker 3: give some opportunity to And part of the capitalist was
- 19:24Speaker 3: sending Graham down was Graham wasn't performing and this would
- 19:27Speaker 3: give Leo some more opportunity at least to get in
- 19:30Speaker 3: there with some more frequency for us to have a
- 19:33Speaker 3: better idea of what we have in Leo. And I
- 19:38Speaker 3: did I think he was movid. Bats have been have
- 19:42Speaker 3: been good. I mean he you know, he hasn't. The
- 19:43Speaker 3: counting numbers aren't great. He's still you know, kind of
- 19:46Speaker 3: learning third base on the fly. But I think it's
- 19:50Speaker 3: still with age with some of his skill set. That
- 19:53Speaker 3: this is you know, acquiring guys like Leo, like this
- 19:57Speaker 3: is how you get auto lopezz of the world. It's
- 19:59Speaker 3: you know, it's how you end up finding some good players.
- 20:03Speaker 3: And he's a fit for us, you know, at this point,
- 20:06Speaker 3: and believe that he'll get things turned around. He's going
- 20:10Speaker 3: to continue to get some starts and the lineup question
- 20:16Speaker 3: so usually I think now kind of how we settled
- 20:20Speaker 3: and it'll be a little different here coming up, you know,
- 20:22Speaker 3: co nine back in and then when we get Hicks,
- 20:25Speaker 3: but somewhat trying to again keep a little bit of
- 20:28Speaker 3: distance between Liam was who was hitting lead off and
- 20:31Speaker 3: Stours hitting you know, third or fourth, and then the
- 20:33Speaker 3: guy's other left handed hitters back behind him. So like
- 20:36Speaker 3: finding the place if we have two or three right
- 20:38Speaker 3: handed hitters, kind of where to space them out within
- 20:41Speaker 3: and like Otto was hitting second a lot, and then okay,
- 20:45Speaker 3: like we're gonna probably have a righty hit in the
- 20:46Speaker 3: five hole, and if that was Burt that day, it's
- 20:49Speaker 3: usually Bert it could be so Noha him Inez has
- 20:51Speaker 3: done it. And then we're running three straight lefties with
- 20:54Speaker 3: a righty at the bottom of that. So it was
- 20:57Speaker 3: much a function of trying to create some spacing within
- 21:01Speaker 3: the lineup while also believe in that, you know, putting
- 21:07Speaker 3: less stock in what layos numbers on the scoreboard were
- 21:09Speaker 3: over seventy played appearances and what we believe like he's
- 21:12Speaker 3: capable of.
- 21:12Speaker 4: Doing now around like this time of year is whenever
- 21:18Speaker 4: you start hearing talk about guys potentially being moved, or
- 21:21Speaker 4: what is our team going to do or we should
- 21:24Speaker 4: we add there's a lot of outside noise that seems
- 21:27Speaker 4: to come in around this time. How do you get
- 21:29Speaker 4: guys to continue to focus on who's on your team
- 21:33Speaker 4: right now, what your team is doing right now, so
- 21:35Speaker 4: that you guys can continue to put position yourself to
- 21:38Speaker 4: maybe force the team to maybe do some more additions
- 21:41Speaker 4: than subtractions.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that's as best you can is just
- 21:48Speaker 3: try to make each day feel normal, but it's it's
- 21:52Speaker 3: a good thing. Like if you guys are being asked, hey,
- 21:55Speaker 3: should you guys buy should Like that's great, Like okay,
- 21:57Speaker 3: we're you know, and I we'd rather be doing that
- 22:00Speaker 3: then the alternative. And so being in a position where
- 22:03Speaker 3: you know that potentially is the case great. But also
- 22:06Speaker 3: like as a player, you know this, you have no
- 22:08Speaker 3: control over what's about to happen. Okay, Peter Bruce and company,
- 22:12Speaker 3: they're going to decide what they want to do, and
- 22:15Speaker 3: so you have to go out and play, continue to win.
- 22:17Speaker 3: And you hear all the time players like, we have
- 22:18Speaker 3: to go do our job, which is to win games.
- 22:21Speaker 3: And I think it's as best you can some of
- 22:26Speaker 3: the noise that's going to come up, and I mean,
- 22:29Speaker 3: I guess like it's more fun. It's like baseball fans,
- 22:32Speaker 3: it's fun. Let's write about it, speculate about trades, and
- 22:36Speaker 3: I mean the reality of it is, we all know
- 22:37Speaker 3: that most of those things that you read or hear
- 22:40Speaker 3: are so are way more smoke than anything else. So
- 22:43Speaker 3: just whatever, let's go play baseball and let other people,
- 22:48Speaker 3: you know, speculate.
- 22:50Speaker 4: Yeah, that's that's my least favorite part of being in
- 22:53Speaker 4: the media. Is all the speculation that I have to
- 22:55Speaker 4: do or talk about, and I'm like, nobody knows. Then
- 22:59Speaker 4: listen in those those rooms and it's fun. I also
- 23:02Speaker 4: to talk about it.
- 23:03Speaker 3: I think last year like actually may help. We had
- 23:05Speaker 3: a number of players like it was their first time
- 23:08Speaker 3: having their names put out there. Okay, you're Anthony Bender,
- 23:11Speaker 3: like you're about to have a baby, you might get traded,
- 23:15Speaker 3: you know. I mean Sandy is probably at this point
- 23:17Speaker 3: like he's tired of it. I'm sure, but it's we
- 23:20Speaker 3: know how many questions you're gonna be asked about Sandy
- 23:22Speaker 3: and you know Fauchet. So there were a number of
- 23:26Speaker 3: guys last year kind of their first time of like
- 23:29Speaker 3: you know, dealing with that, which I think is a
- 23:31Speaker 3: good thing for them too, because, like you said, a
- 23:33Speaker 3: good players get talked about, and guys who are good
- 23:35Speaker 3: are going to be put in these types of conversations
- 23:38Speaker 3: and it's just like anything else until you've gone through
- 23:42Speaker 3: it and kind of dealt with the added stress that
- 23:44Speaker 3: whether you know you want to go read the speculation
- 23:47Speaker 3: or not, that's going to be there. So and now
- 23:50Speaker 3: you come into this year and think, well, you know what,
- 23:52Speaker 3: I was so worried about it. Last year nothing happened,
- 23:55Speaker 3: So you know, what can I do about it? Just
- 23:57Speaker 3: continue to go. And so I hope some of that
- 24:03Speaker 3: of last year's you know, helped some guys this year.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely what you're saying, your sayings that we helped
- 24:10Speaker 2: you out a little bit. Then in the last year,
- 24:12Speaker 2: we played a part in the marrow on success towards
- 24:14Speaker 2: the second half of the season.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Of course you did, right, I mean you guys were
- 24:18Speaker 3: the drive. Bry goers about you guys, and that's hilarious.
- 24:24Speaker 4: I'm wondering if you saw that Auto Lopez was fifth
- 24:30Speaker 4: amongst the National League shortstops, and I want to get
- 24:32Speaker 4: your thoughts on that, and what do you think about
- 24:35Speaker 4: him being so far down? I personally think, you know,
- 24:37Speaker 4: he should be further up. But what do you think
- 24:40Speaker 4: about the system of how guys are voted on and
- 24:46Speaker 4: how they make the All Star team or starting lineup
- 24:48Speaker 4: for the All Star team.
- 24:51Speaker 3: I think Auto should be an All Star. I think
- 24:53Speaker 3: he has not Like Auto, Auto is having an All
- 24:57Speaker 3: Star worthy season and he deserves it. I get the system.
- 25:00Speaker 3: I mean, look, it's an exhibition game, right, It's it's
- 25:04Speaker 3: for the fans. I think in some ways the fans
- 25:06Speaker 3: should have a lot of say and you know who
- 25:09Speaker 3: goes there? Is it always? Every year? It is disappointed.
- 25:13Speaker 3: It stinks for you know, a particular player who's having
- 25:17Speaker 3: this maybe maybe the best half of his life, that
- 25:19Speaker 3: has a chance to be an All Star that doesn't
- 25:21Speaker 3: get it because a more noteworthy player, you know, gets
- 25:27Speaker 3: selected to do this. So that part of it, Yes,
- 25:30Speaker 3: it stinks, But I think whether you know it's the
- 25:34Speaker 3: home run derby, it's the All Star Game itself. I
- 25:37Speaker 3: think people want to come out and see who they
- 25:39Speaker 3: want to see, and Major League Baseball and those who
- 25:43Speaker 3: vote on the you know, the other players like to
- 25:46Speaker 3: also have to be representative of those who are having
- 25:49Speaker 3: Like Auto's having an All Star worthy season, he's leading
- 25:52Speaker 3: the league in hits and average that you know he
- 25:54Speaker 3: should he should be there, no matter what I think.
- 25:58Speaker 3: He you know, he's earned that. So I don't know,
- 26:01Speaker 3: but I get that the outcry. But two, I think
- 26:08Speaker 3: that fans this is there, it's their right to go,
- 26:10Speaker 3: and it's the way it's set up.
- 26:12Speaker 5: Yeah, coming from the Dodgers though, I'm sure you see
- 26:14Speaker 5: a correlation between you know, small market team players and
- 26:19Speaker 5: big markets, right Obviously, you know, you guys have someone
- 26:22Speaker 5: like Mookie Bets, for example, who's not having a Mookie
- 26:25Speaker 5: Bets caliber season yet is earning half a million votes.
- 26:29Speaker 5: It appears much more than Atto Lopez. Would you say that,
- 26:33Speaker 5: would you like to see a different sort of system,
- 26:35Speaker 5: because obviously it is.
- 26:36Speaker 3: For the fans.
- 26:36Speaker 5: This game is for the fans, but maybe they have
- 26:38Speaker 5: a little bit too much power in this case.
- 26:46Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't honestly don't really think that
- 26:48Speaker 3: much about it, right. I think with the fans again,
- 26:53Speaker 3: they drive this like if there's not for faith, there's
- 26:54Speaker 3: not fans. I mean basically, every night we go out there,
- 26:58Speaker 3: we're trying to go other to entertaining fans, like, you know,
- 27:02Speaker 3: we win, more people will probably show up, right, Like,
- 27:04Speaker 3: so this game is about the fans, and I think
- 27:08Speaker 3: this is just a again, an exhibition game that's turned
- 27:12Speaker 3: into very much you know, seeing the Miseroskies of the world.
- 27:16Speaker 3: You know, go throw it any and go face Je
- 27:18Speaker 3: Soda like you know, or whoever else like I guess
- 27:21Speaker 3: it would or Aaron Judge, you know, like that's what
- 27:23Speaker 3: people want to kind of see, is I think that?
- 27:26Speaker 3: And you know, if that's what they if that's what
- 27:28Speaker 3: they want and they're gonna you know, so I just
- 27:35Speaker 3: hope again like there are going to be some guy
- 27:37Speaker 3: squeezed out. But that's the unfortunate part of, you know,
- 27:42Speaker 3: the gig.
- 27:44Speaker 5: Yeah, speaking of All Star weekend, I'm curious. Last year
- 27:48Speaker 5: you were in Atlanta as part of Dave Roberts staff
- 27:52Speaker 5: for the twenty twenty five All Star Game, Great time
- 27:54Speaker 5: when Cal Stowers entered as the home run derby tiebreaker.
- 27:57Speaker 5: Have you been informed if you'll be going to Philadelphia
- 27:59Speaker 5: as part of a staff again in twenty twenty six?
- 28:02Speaker 3: No, No, I'm not, uh. I will not be going
- 28:04Speaker 3: as part of his staff this year.
- 28:06Speaker 5: What goes into that decision for that? I mean, hopefully
- 28:08Speaker 5: when you guys win the World Series, you'll be making
- 28:10Speaker 5: that decision for yourself. But I'm curious what how exactly
- 28:13Speaker 5: does Dave make that that those coaching decisions.
- 28:16Speaker 3: I guess I would think. I mean, I think last
- 28:21Speaker 3: year it was as much probably a bit of reward
- 28:23Speaker 3: for myself and my family have been on the staff
- 28:26Speaker 3: in twenty four winning the World Series and then you
- 28:29Speaker 3: know that staff gets to go to the All Star
- 28:32Speaker 3: Game and with us not being there, I think it was,
- 28:35Speaker 3: you know, and also you know, being a manager now
- 28:36Speaker 3: manager on another team a way to have myself and
- 28:41Speaker 3: our family be a part of that which I was
- 28:42Speaker 3: we were all very grateful for. And you know then
- 28:45Speaker 3: I think generally, you know, the home you're in the
- 28:47Speaker 3: home ballpark, that manager is usually asked to be on
- 28:52Speaker 3: one of the staffs, whicheveryone it is, and you know
- 28:55Speaker 3: you've so you're looking for another manager or you know,
- 28:59Speaker 3: someone else within the game to kind of be, you know,
- 29:02Speaker 3: like it was, you know, guest manager or you know,
- 29:05Speaker 3: whatever it was. So I think my choice last year
- 29:08Speaker 3: is is much just the time that we've spent in
- 29:10Speaker 3: LA and coming off the World Series and wanting myself
- 29:15Speaker 3: and our family to be a part of that.
- 29:17Speaker 6: You know why I are enjoying this minute because we're happy, Krats.
- 29:20Speaker 6: We're happy because we're wearing Mac Weldon.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Yes, I'm six foot five and nobody can give me
- 29:25Speaker 1: tall clothing, but mack Weldon allows me to have it.
- 29:29Speaker 1: So I don't really have to care about how I look,
- 29:32Speaker 1: and I still look good because I don't put a
- 29:34Speaker 1: lot of time into what I do to put pick
- 29:36Speaker 1: out my clothes. Mac Weldon takes care of it for me.
- 29:40Speaker 6: Classic always in style made from the world's most comfortable
- 29:43Speaker 6: performance materials. Summer gets sweaty, don't let unnecessary sweat spots emerge.
- 29:48Speaker 6: Mac Weldon's air Knit X fabric helps you out. Their
- 29:52Speaker 6: lightest fabric is fused with nylon mesh for maximum airflow.
- 29:56Speaker 6: Skip the midday wardrobe changes the barely there feel. Also,
- 30:00Speaker 6: you're feeling more dry and fresh. Don't swe at the
- 30:02Speaker 6: heat this summer feel as effortlessly.

- 30:13Speaker 6: A C K W E L d o N dot
- 30:15Speaker 6: com code f O U L.
- 30:18Speaker 2: I'm curious, Clayton, what's it like throwing a home runner?
- 30:20Speaker 2: But I think you did this in twenty three. I
- 30:22Speaker 2: want to say for for someone he did. I forgot
- 30:24Speaker 2: who it was, but you did it.
- 30:26Speaker 3: I did. I threw. I threw to Mookie Bets in
- 30:29Speaker 3: the home Run derby and we finished last. But it
- 30:36Speaker 3: was fun, you know it was. It was funny because
- 30:39Speaker 3: like Mookie doesn't if you watch him, he doesn't hit
- 30:43Speaker 3: home runs in battye practice, like he just does. I
- 30:45Speaker 3: mean the guy might get out, you know, one or
- 30:46Speaker 3: two in a full round. I mean he's gonna good years.
- 30:50Speaker 3: You know, he's hitting over thirty. But I think his
- 30:53Speaker 3: you know, he kind of got talked to the kind
- 30:54Speaker 3: of a bucket list thing like they it will be
- 30:56Speaker 3: asked and it's like, all right, you know what, go
- 30:57Speaker 3: do a home run derby and so yeah, I always
- 30:59Speaker 3: threw to every day. So he asked me. And we're
- 31:04Speaker 3: in the cage like you know how, like they're hitting
- 31:07Speaker 3: this on time, and it's like, all right, you know,
- 31:08Speaker 3: you guys are up in twelve minutes or whatever. Right,
- 31:10Speaker 3: So we're hitting a little bit in the cage and
- 31:12Speaker 3: he's like, dude, I don't know how to hit a
- 31:13Speaker 3: home run. And VP I'm like, Marcus, I can figure
- 31:17Speaker 3: that out here pretty quick. Man. We got like eight
- 31:18Speaker 3: minutes until it showtime. But we went out there and
- 31:23Speaker 3: once you get past all like there's cameras everywhere, there's
- 31:26Speaker 3: no turtle you're used to throwing to, you know, it's
- 31:28Speaker 3: a catcher. Yeah. I mean, I honestly didn't even all
- 31:33Speaker 3: the that stuff. I didn't even like, once you got
- 31:36Speaker 3: out there. It was just like I'm trying to get
- 31:37Speaker 3: it and trying to throw it in this little specific
- 31:39Speaker 3: spot for him, and when he was ready to swing outdn'
- 31:42Speaker 3: to be ready to throw. So it was a cool experience.
- 31:47Speaker 3: I was again appreciative that he asked me to, you know,
- 31:50Speaker 3: to do that, and yeah, so yeah, I thrown in
- 31:54Speaker 3: a home runner be ket. I'm curious. Oh, I'm sorry.
- 32:04Speaker 4: How nervous were you?
- 32:08Speaker 3: Honestly, I believe or not. I wasn't that nervous. I
- 32:11Speaker 3: had practiced. Mookie didn't want to practice, like he didn't
- 32:16Speaker 3: want to like practice the like just trying to hit homers.
- 32:18Speaker 3: He was on a heater like at that point, so
- 32:20Speaker 3: like he was just gonna hit. So the only thing
- 32:22Speaker 3: we did is I threw to him and like, all right,
- 32:24Speaker 3: where do you mean to throw it? And he's like,
- 32:25Speaker 3: I'm kind of somewhere in here, like all right. So
- 32:27Speaker 3: then I went out in the field like i'd go
- 32:29Speaker 3: out at home and all right, start the clock and
- 32:31Speaker 3: I would throw to one of our other coaches and
- 32:35Speaker 3: just try to like hit that spot. And so you're no,
- 32:43Speaker 3: And then you had before that during that day, they
- 32:46Speaker 3: all got a hit a Bill in the field, like
- 32:48Speaker 3: you know, both teams are taking their pregame work, and
- 32:50Speaker 3: then the home run derby contestants come out, and you
- 32:53Speaker 3: had like one minute or thirty seconds, so like you
- 32:56Speaker 3: I kind of like was already got to throw a
- 32:58Speaker 3: few on the field, and and then it was like, well,
- 33:02Speaker 3: we wants her to be nervous, but I'm throwing a baseball,
- 33:04Speaker 3: like just grabbing him, you know, throw it in when
- 33:07Speaker 3: you're in that. I think I just wasn't thinking about
- 33:10Speaker 3: that as much as, like, you know, throw Clayton. I'm curious.
- 33:18Speaker 5: You guys have been red hot this month obviously, so
- 33:20Speaker 5: I don't want to nitpick too much, but there is
- 33:22Speaker 5: one I think you guys could have been even better.
- 33:24Speaker 5: I have one, I guess managerial decision to pick your
- 33:26Speaker 5: brain on. I'm curious in Wittsburgh. Just one, well unbelievable, right,
- 33:32Speaker 5: just one. And it was in Pittsburgh, and as you
- 33:35Speaker 5: guys the game, you guys lost, Ruise is on second
- 33:37Speaker 5: base and the ninth inning, down by one, nobody out,
- 33:40Speaker 5: and so Noah's up at the plate, and I'm curious,
- 33:43Speaker 5: why was any bunting there to just put Ruiz ninety
- 33:46Speaker 5: feet away?
- 33:49Speaker 3: Oh, I mean to be honest, like I don't even
- 33:54Speaker 3: remember that, Like I don't I but I don't remember
- 33:58Speaker 3: is I don't know like who we had left to pitch?
- 34:01Speaker 3: I mean, certainly it's like we want to really play
- 34:03Speaker 3: for the tie on the road right now? It was
- 34:06Speaker 3: who was coming after? Soha, Like I'd have to actually
- 34:09Speaker 3: go back in and look through the entire inning. Uh right,
- 34:15Speaker 3: if I had to just get I'd say it's probably
- 34:17Speaker 3: like not wanting to play for the tie on the
- 34:20Speaker 3: road and our best chance being to you to go
- 34:24Speaker 3: for it.
- 34:25Speaker 5: Yeah, So Noha was batting eighth, you had Norby on
- 34:28Speaker 5: deck Hicks after that, Lopez and you guys had used
- 34:31Speaker 5: a good amount of pictures that day. So I guess
- 34:33Speaker 5: that and you guys won the series ended up being
- 34:35Speaker 5: a moot point.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Well, that was one where I was.
- 34:39Speaker 5: That was the only MANAGERI, real quick I had for
- 34:40Speaker 5: the whole month, which was pretty good. But one other
- 34:43Speaker 5: question I have for both you and a J. I
- 34:46Speaker 5: guess I'll start with you, Clayton, your fit your fondest
- 34:48Speaker 5: as a fan All Star memory, either watching or participating
- 34:52Speaker 5: in any of the festivities. Which is your favorite All
- 34:54Speaker 5: Star memory? U?
- 35:02Speaker 3: So I have I have a couple. First, I go back,
- 35:06Speaker 3: my dad and mom took me to an All Star game
- 35:08Speaker 3: in Pittsburgh and which was you know, as a kid,
- 35:13Speaker 3: as you know, like an eleven, you know, twelve year
- 35:15Speaker 3: old kid whatever it was at the time to go
- 35:17Speaker 3: to an Allstar and like this is like wow, man,
- 35:19Speaker 3: this is so cool. And we were coming back to
- 35:21Speaker 3: our hotel and meat Loaf was staying there. Remember Meatloaf,
- 35:24Speaker 3: Oh I know the singer. Yeah, singer like Meatloaf had
- 35:28Speaker 3: sang like performed at the All Star festivities or whatever
- 35:32Speaker 3: in some capacity, but like meat Love was at our hotel,
- 35:35Speaker 3: went to an All Star game, which was amazing. And
- 35:38Speaker 3: then the year was that with Albert's last It was
- 35:44Speaker 3: in La, So this was must have been twenty three.
- 35:46Speaker 3: LA hosted the All Star game Dodgers did, and so
- 35:51Speaker 3: Pool Hoolst was there. And so my son loved Albert
- 35:56Speaker 3: from the time he had spent the year before with
- 35:58Speaker 3: the Dodgers. Kyle he loved Albert. That was his guy.
- 36:02Speaker 3: So to have Albert back and like you know, after
- 36:04Speaker 3: the Derby sit out there and watch him go say
- 36:08Speaker 3: hi to Albert on the field and hang out like
- 36:10Speaker 3: that was then you kind of realize, like how lucky
- 36:12Speaker 3: I am to here, I'm sitting on the field with
- 36:14Speaker 3: my family, my kids, watching the home run Derby like this.
- 36:18Speaker 3: You know, this job, it doesn't get much better than this.
- 36:20Speaker 3: So that was a really cool personal moment for me
- 36:25Speaker 3: and aj.
- 36:26Speaker 5: I'll follow it up to you same question, either growing
- 36:29Speaker 5: up or when you were an All Star in twenty
- 36:31Speaker 5: sixteen at Petgo Park, What would be your fondest memory
- 36:36Speaker 5: during the Midsummer Classic.
- 36:39Speaker 4: You know, watching the All Star Game was always really
- 36:42Speaker 4: dope to me, watching the home run Derby's. There wasn't
- 36:45Speaker 4: any specific moment, but just every time I would watch
- 36:48Speaker 4: a home run Derby, I'd go outside and I'd go
- 36:50Speaker 4: play with a ball outside because I just I just
- 36:52Speaker 4: loved baseball so much. Man, I couldn't get enough of it.
- 36:55Speaker 4: And then when I actually got to be an All Star,
- 36:57Speaker 4: one thing in my family there supporting me, because obviously
- 37:00Speaker 4: they were a huge reason in part as to me
- 37:03Speaker 4: why I was an All Star. But then the second
- 37:05Speaker 4: favorite moment was whenever g was hitting homer after homer,
- 37:10Speaker 4: about to knock down that building in left field with
- 37:14Speaker 4: all those homers. We we did like the pit stop
- 37:17Speaker 4: or whatever, where Mi Jose Fernandez, Marcelo Zuna we went
- 37:23Speaker 4: up and start to like give him water and like
- 37:25Speaker 4: they we gave a TV like a pause or whatever.
- 37:28Speaker 4: Uh So doing that was fun and I think after
- 37:31Speaker 4: that every All Star game they started to do that.
- 37:34Speaker 4: People will come in and start to like give a
- 37:36Speaker 4: little towel and give a little break. So being a
- 37:38Speaker 4: part of that, seeing g crank Homers and then just man, it.
- 37:43Speaker 3: Was a dream of mine.
- 37:44Speaker 4: It was it was a goal to be an All
- 37:46Speaker 4: Star and to be able to achieve that and see
- 37:50Speaker 4: my family, you know, in the stands and around. That's
- 37:53Speaker 4: that to me is something that was an amazing moment
- 37:57Speaker 4: and always always remember that.
- 37:59Speaker 2: Obviously, last one for you claim before we wrap up here.
- 38:03Speaker 2: I'm sure you know the Tartan Army is coming too
- 38:07Speaker 2: long Deepot Park today. I'm sure you're gonna be asked
- 38:09Speaker 2: about this a couple of times pre games, so we'll
- 38:10Speaker 2: get ahead of it. What are your thoughts on this?
- 38:12Speaker 2: Have you seen any of these videos like this seems
- 38:15Speaker 2: like insane. These guys are are crazy, like they they're
- 38:18Speaker 2: gonna fill up the stadium. I heard they sold out
- 38:21Speaker 2: like all the home run sections. So yeah, it should
- 38:24Speaker 2: be not. What are your thoughts on this?
- 38:27Speaker 3: I'm excited about it. I think that's this is great.
- 38:31Speaker 3: I did catch the clips I guess they were at
- 38:32Speaker 3: Fenway Park, uh, not too long ago and looked amazing.
- 38:37Speaker 3: So yeah, I think we're gonna welcome it. This is
- 38:40Speaker 3: uh you know, I have another nice crowd here today,
- 38:44Speaker 3: and I'm sure they're gonna be thirsty and looking for
- 38:48Speaker 3: somewhere in someone to quench their thirst. So that'll be
- 38:51Speaker 3: good for the vendors as well. So yeah, can't I
- 38:55Speaker 3: can't wait to be part of this. What are they
- 38:59Speaker 3: doing Tartans?
- 39:02Speaker 2: Yeah, the Tartan Army is as I guess they're doing this.
- 39:05Speaker 2: They're doing this whole march like blocks and blocks away
- 39:08Speaker 2: from the ballpark at four o'clock. And then yeah, there
- 39:13Speaker 2: the videos as scene is. It's chanced throughout the whole game.
- 39:15Speaker 2: Music throughout the whole game. So yeah, so we'll wrap
- 39:20Speaker 2: it in Clayton. Yeah, we'll wrap it up here. Clayton,
- 39:25Speaker 2: thank you so much for doing this. We do this
- 39:27Speaker 2: every month. Excited for next month's edition of Talking to
- 39:31Speaker 2: You but from Isaac Clayton, uh agent myself. We'll see
- 39:34Speaker 2: you guys all next week peace out and as always,
- 39:37Speaker 2: go fish.
