  doughnuts at a 711 late at night and I just didn't feel like

  eating like a big meal. So I would have a blue little

  blueberry doughnut and a little drink and I'd come home, go to

  bed. So last night I was in the third

  feature, got out of a really good time and I said, well, I

  stopped by the 711 and they had it locked.

  You're go to a gas station and it's locked for a little bit.

  Like the guy or the person lady running it had to go do

  something. So lights are on.

  Gas station was locked up. So I said what the heck with it,

  I'll go to Denny's. I walked in there and I said can

  I sit at the bar? She goes the counter.

  I said, oh, I never thought about that.

  Everywhere I go in my hometown of Arnold, MO, I go to the bar.

  So that is the start of coffee with Kenny.

  We're going to talk about a lot of different things today.

  We're going to talk about the difference between a bar and a

  counter. We're going to talk about Rusty

  Griffaugh called me this morning.

  Herman, I want an update. Did they did they change the

  Live this year. So anyway, I walked into Denny's

  last night and I said, can I sit at the bar?

  And so I, I guess they don't serve liquor at Denny's.

  You know, I mean, you go to Cracker Barrel now and they got

  beer. Now.

  That was a change for me. All of us old people, we go eat

  at the old Cracker Barrel, which I love Cracker Barrel.

  And I've never forgetted. I went and do a Cracker Barrel a

  couple years ago. Somebody's drinking a beer.

  It shocked me. So anyway, I've learned that

  when you go into Denny's late at night, that's called a counter.

  I, I've never seen anybody drink beer in Denny's.

  I have not if they do have beer and I, I don't think I ever

  asked. But anyway, so now we know it is

  not called a bar at Denny's. It is called a counter.

  So yesterday I did my very best. I stayed very calm and I told a

  story about what was going on out of Volusia as far as the

  did it for the racers out there, right?

  So I went out there and come to find out, God, I'm embarrassed,

  but I'm embarrassed in a good way.

  But I guess there was enough wives.

  Shannon Long I about said her name, but I said, Hey, I I

  talked about you yesterday and she goes, but you didn't use my

  name, which was great. So we talked about the point

  system yesterday out of Volusia, and this is for Rusty Griffall,

  by the way. Rusty Griffall.

  Rusty is one hell of a racer and he's in Festus, MO and we call

  Rusty Griffall. His nickname is the Festus

  Flash, and Rusty's won a lot of races.

  He's became more popular lately by being one hell of a

  fabricator, Rusty Griffall, and this is a big compliment.

  He makes chicken salad out of chicken.

  Rusty can take up the most wrecked race cars and repair

  them. I think if Rusty had somebody

  that did a did a really good job, If Rusty Griffith had like

  a Charlie Marlow, Rusty could make some money on YouTube

  because he does do videos. But it is a he he, he's a gamer.

  He does more with less than anybody I know.

  But Rusty moved up to the late models.

  But Rusty was seen by all yesterday.

  Rusty, I'm talking to you, Rusty Griffal, everybody in the garage

  area at Volusia yesterday, they talked about what you said about

  percentages. You said, well, the people that

  qualify the fastest in the top 20, they need to be 100% points

  and more money. And then the people 20 on down,

  they need to be 66 percent worth of points and 66, you know, then
• 5:09
  the money goes down. Then the people that qualify

  last, they need to be 33%. And everybody could tell Rusty

  that you put you put a calculator to it and it, and it

  made incredible sense, so much sense that they changed the

  rule. So yes, I woke up to Rusty's

  voice message this morning and those ladies texted me.

  Shannon didn't, but the other one did.

  And so the drivers that I was talking about yesterday, they

  won last night. Now there's a couple pissed off

  people that, you know, were lined up there were originally

  lined up on the front row of their, you know, there were a

  couple guys that qualified 23rd and 36 and they were going to

  start on the front row. They're mad at me, but that's
• 6:08
  OK. That's OK.

  You can be mad at me all you want because I got thick skin

  and what was going on was wrong and you know it was wrong, but

  you you're just getting away with it and that's OK.

  Well, Michael started on the front row pole because he

  qualified 4th in his group and they inverted.

  And then Will Krupp, he Will Krupp is him and Cole foul away.

  They Cole foul away and Will Krupp they're the fastest cars

  down here so fast that Will Krupp passed Kyle Strickler on

  the outside last night made the whole garage area go.

  So anyway, they did a good job. So listen, I tell you all the

  I think UMP and everybody. And then of course, there were a

  lot of other people and I'm not going to use their names because

  I don't want they're, they're shy, but they they're loud.

  There's a lot of people, everybody, I want to be clear

  about this. There's a lot of people in this

  dirt racing that are, that are very quiet, but they are loud

  when they want to be. They're kind of like the postal

  worker. They're real nice until they go

  postal. You know the story about the

  postal worker, right? You know that phrase don't go

  postal on me? It means you go into that post

  office and you bitch and Mona, that post office guy all the

  time until one day he goes postal and it ain't pretty.

  And there's some people like that and they know who they are.

  I'm looking right at them. Real quiet.

  By the way, about me. Last night I started 4th and I

  finished fifth. It's just the way it is.

  So we're having a fabulous, fabulous speed week.

  I was getting worried because everybody around me got wrecked.

  I was the 3rd feature, Will was the 6th.

  My buddy Mitch, he got his nose torn off.

  They parked Kyle Hammer and then the next one down was Padula,

  Padula and somebody got into it. They got into a pissing match

  and then day we holder broke a yoke and wreck.

  So I had like four or five cars in a row that had raced before

  me and they all wrecked out and I so I did.

  I went in front of my car and I went, dear Lord, please bless

  this guy because like everybody around me in those first and 2nd

  features and even after Padula was in the feature after and he
• 11:42
  wrecked, I'm like, Oh my God, stop it.

  So we ran good. We run 5th.

  I do admit that I'm getting older.

  I guess I'm losing it a little bit because my car feels good
• 11:53
  and I just can't get the speed that I want to.

  But that's OK. That's OK.

  You're not going to get faster the older you get.

  So we're still qualifying good and we're still in the top five.

  It's 12 minutes, I know it. But Trackside Live is back this

  the NASCAR races. It's been very successful and

  the drivers come out on stage about 3-4 hours before the race

  and all of you fans are able to see your driver, Danny Hamlin,

  you name it, Joey Logano, all of them.

  And, and we do a we do a trackside live with them.

  It's usually Jose Castillo, myself, John Roberts is our

  leader and and then sometimes Wendy Venturini is in the crowd

  and Wendy will take your questions.
