- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: the fear voice is so loud because we spent so much time listening to it.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_01]: We have had way more experience listening to the fear and instead of listening to our intuition and that maybe because I just of the life that you've had prior to this.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the be it till you see it podcast, where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm also Logan, prize instructor and fitness business coach.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: I've trained thousands of people around the world, and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_01]: My friends, action brings clarity, and it's the antidote to fear.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_01]: Each week my guests will bring bold, executable, intrinsic, and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and be it till you see it.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's a practice, not a perfect, let's get started.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_01]: Hello, be it babe.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, welcome back to our Listen to Yourself series.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so happy you're here.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so if you missed Tuesdays episode, you're gonna probably want to hear like that one because it's just talked about like, what is our intuition?
- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what is listening to ourself?
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: And then also, why is it so freaking hard?
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, after listening to all the different reasons it's hard, it's and I actually shocked any single one of us can listen to her into which it at all.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I also shared some stories about from times I listened to mine and I didn't listen to mine.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I just want to say thank you to all of you who shared.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: your takeaways from that episode.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: It really means so much to me.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_01]: I record these alone in a room and talking to myself.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: So I really appreciate what you all share how the episodes affect to do or takeaways and wins and things like that.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: So questions you have that.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: And so those on Thursday episodes, wins and on home moments.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'll share on Friday episodes.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: But today we're talking about the tools to help you listen to your self better listen to your intuition,
- 1:53[SPEAKER_01]: So sources for this information will be in the show notes, but I have to say this is kind of fun.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of different things.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: So here's the all-mybie at bay.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: I know that it's easy to try to do all the things that once.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm going to ask you to pick a couple of these things that sound good and the ones that don't like immediately sound easy for you.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's ditch them.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: Save them for later, give them to a friend, right?
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: Please, my overtrivers are listening to her and recovery.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: Don't try to do them all.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so some of these might sound redundant as we go through, but no, that sometimes we hear same thing in slightly different way.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: It kind of makes a little more sense to us.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: So, here we go.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: How do we hear our intuition better?
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: Calm the mind, use meditation or breathing techniques to quiet the noise.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: So I will say, I love doing breath work.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: How I like a guided meditation.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: I know that sounds opposite of like listening to yourself.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: But if you just have music playing for me and I have to just sit still, I'm gonna tell you right now, my mind ain't quiet.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: I kinda need some of it's like, look at this cloud, watch this thing.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: That's kinda my ammo.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: If you're like that fine guided meditations or breath work if you haven't read the book breathe that is one of my favorite books of all time, I recommend so I highly recommend it.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: Tune into the body.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_01]: So pay attention to physical sensations such as a sense of lightness, a line, an alignment or a sense of thinking or tightening feeling like not a line.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: So a lightness is going to fill a line, a tightening is not going to fill a line.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: And that means you're going to have to start body scanning, right?
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: So you might
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: Do this one time a day, maybe you do it in the morning or do that night to start to just notice where you already feel tight or where you don't feel tight and so you can know yourself because like sometimes it's like a doctor might ask, oh, how long of you feel like they're like, oh, I actually don't know so it is if you're going to tune into the body, which I highly recommend you do.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: finding ways to make that a habit.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_01]: I use this I used OPC to help our members with this.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: I utilize for myself.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: So when you do the hundred is going to feel different each and every time you do it.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: Depending on what time of day you do it, depends on what happened the day before, how you slept, all that information, and that is like a way to tune into your body.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: So for me,
- 4:03[SPEAKER_01]: By scanning, I only do what I'm trying to fall asleep to be completely honest, or if I'm in a breath work that's a guide and they're like, pay attention.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: I've truly used my pull eyes to go because I do the same exercises and I'm like, oh, I could get more out of that, right?
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that is a great way to like, feel what feels light and what doesn't feel light so that I can kind of, so that when I feel like this, I know I'm an alignment, when I feel tightness and then I can do decision, I feel like I'm not, that can be helpful.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: that takes time.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: So just be nice to yourself about learning have to feel alignment and miss alignment in your body.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: Pause and reflect.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: Instead of reacting immediately to emotions, pause to see if the feeling is a panic response or a calm and during insight.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: So this is interesting, right?
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like, um, as an ADG person who's like brain goes 17 miles ahead of most people, I am like, let's take instant action.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: And then, of course, I'll regret how quickly I've made a decision.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: Enough of the decision is a regret, but like how I handled it.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: So something I am trying to work on is just like, take a moment, why am I upset?
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: What am I wanting to have happen?
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: What might be all the different ways that could have that happen?
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: And then in taking that pause, it really lets me feel like what my inner knowing is actually trying to tell me, which is like, you're actually not upset about this thing, you're upset about this thing, and it's coming out here.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think that that takes that also just takes time.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_01]: So I also wanted to find out like this intuition sound like something, like because if we're gonna hear it, what does it sound like, right?
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: So intuition often feels like a calm quiet in the immediate inner knowing or got feeling that provides certainty with that logical explanation, which is different than anxious thoughts, which are frantic and fearful.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_01]: True intuition is neutral, steady, and frequently experienced as a physical sensation, which is a quiet, grounded insight.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: a sinking feeling or a sudden clear non-emotional, not so I think like it might not have an actual sound to it, but it has like from all this research, it doesn't feel you don't feel uneasy when you're listening to your intuition.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: It feels like, oh, this is so normal and natural.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think that will help if those for those of you who are can have it a hard time
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: So trusting your intuition involves cultivating inner quiet, paying attention to bodily sensations.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_01]: Those are somatic markers.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: We have some had some great somatic guests on the show like Lauren Zoller.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: So definitely listen to her episodes if you want to have an somatic's more.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: You have to practice the intuition in low-stake situations.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: So that's going to be helpful because we don't want to be like making our first decision on a high-stake situation.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: You have to, it's like going to the gym, right?
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a muscle.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: So key methods for listening to your intuition are going to be in meditation, journaling, and slowing down.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to help you distinguish that feelings from fear by identifying physical signs like tension or calm and validating past experiences you can build confidence in your intuition.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I, I will say like, you know how I get on every guest.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, if you're
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: And I think this is where if you are trying to listen to your gut more, maybe the journaling is a horrible question.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: Why do I feel that way?
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: Why is this coming up?
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: What, how does this make me feel?
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: Where do I feel this in my body?
- 7:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like, then you can, you know, write it out and that could be really helpful.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: So, asking yourself questions based on the gut instinct that you're feeling that might help you discover if it's truly from you, if it's from fear.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: I can't, I mean, slowing down, oh my God.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: So, as I said, there's going to be a few more here that might sound the same, but we're talking about a different way that might help you.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: So, widen your mind, reducing mental noise, surmetication, and deep breathing, or spending time in nature to better hear your voice.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_01]: So, I love this suggestion because I don't think people get on nature enough if you've read the book of the artist's way.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: She has you going artists' dates and sometimes it's like just taking your shoes off and walking in grass.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think that that can be really helpful.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: And so if you have a lot of hard time quite in your mind, maybe that's what you're practicing.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: listening to your body.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about that.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: Tighteners versus the ease, journaling daily.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about that.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_01]: This is really good.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_01]: Right on your thoughts and hunches to uncover patterns and you're thinking and recognize your intuition.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's got to do correctly.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_01]: So taking a legal pad of paper and just writing out what's on your mind, you'll recognize patterns quickly.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: Because especially if you force yourself to do three pages, here's what happens.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_01]: Some of you guys are overthinking your thoughts.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: And like
- 8:25[SPEAKER_01]: Just gonna say, don't even try to read your writing just right, right David Corbin will say like, close your eyes and just right, but like, I think that some people can overthink the journaling, which means you're not quite in your mind, you're not going to get your intuition, but just writing and what I found when I was doing the hardest way page is I found.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_01]: Why was inactive in a lot of decisions because I was I had so much fear, but I wasn't able to articulate that and I've been feeling that in my body, but I couldn't get it to my brain.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: And so it really helped me go, oh, this is what I'm afraid of.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, well, is that going to happen.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: How could that happen?
- 8:57[SPEAKER_01]: How could I avoid that happening?
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, now I can make the decision right.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: So you're gonna practice with easy decisions to build trust by falling your gut on small daily choices such as like what to eat or who to reach out to.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: So we're not making big decisions on your job or your relationship.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: You're just like, hmm, I feel like having a sandwich right now.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, let's go have a sandwich right now.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_01]: Was that was that your intuition right like reaching out to a friend?
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I feel like she calls person call them or at least text them right try that out.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: So this one is a little good might be all a little woo woo.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but if you've read the book uh e-squared you'll you won't think it so they'll use the body sway test stand up relax and think of a decision.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: feel if your body moves forward.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: That's a yes or backward.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's a no, my girlfriend.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: She wanted to see if she if I was drinking something and she's like, oh, I wonder if that would work for me.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: And so she closed her eyes.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_01]: She held it in her hand and she's like, will this help me?
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: And then her body leaned forward.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: I watched it happen.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: I swear to God, so that could be helpful.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: some other key practices to strengthen your intuition.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_01]: So getting quiet and this means like getting in nature are quiet for 10 to 15 minutes daily.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: I know that's a lot because you know that's one percent of your day.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_01]: So just keep that in mind.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_01]: Notice physical sensations.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think a lot of us are really not connected to our bodies, which is why I'm such a passionate person about having a consistent-police practice, but noticing physical sensations, right?
- 10:17[SPEAKER_01]: Being able to really notice, like, oh, my feet are cold right now, or like, you know, just what's going on in your body?
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: There's things that are changing all the time.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: Different shading from fear.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: So in Tuesday's episode, we talked about how like, fear can also stay its intuition.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_01]: So intuition is generally calm and patient and persistent, whereas anxiety feels urgent and chaotic intent.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: Trusting small signals.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_01]: So this is really, this is where I find my intuition is the most helpful.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_01]: And when I start to notice these, I start to notice bigger ones.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: But small signals.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's something's going on and you're like, oh, you know, that's what a hunch.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: What a hunch.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to follow that hunch.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_01]: And then that way, with these little signals, we can actually lead to bigger decisions without waiting for the big gut instinct.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: You should do this, right?
- 11:04[SPEAKER_01]: Some people do do a coin flip method.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's not something I would love, but like it might help you, right?
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: Cause like I think if you put a heads, I'm gonna do this, let's tell them how to do this.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_01]: And then it flips and you're like, oh, it's tails.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that tells you what you really wanted.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: You wanted to head, so go to the heads.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: And then visualize outcomes, imagine living with each option for a few days to see which brings a sense of peace or relief.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that also is helpful for understanding how you feel when you're gut instinct is telling you to do something.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: What what does ease feel like in your body and I feel different than what it feels like for me, right?
- 11:39[SPEAKER_01]: And then clean up emotions, suppress emotions can block intuitive signal, so acknowledge and process fear and excited clear the wave or
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: clear and quieter and more confident guidance.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think that that's important.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think a lot of us have a bought a bottle up emotions, which I like to do breath work because you win or exercise because you can just like emotions just leave the body.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_01]: Like if you were like, why did I cry in that workout today?
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: Because it wanted to get out.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to get out and you got to stop suppressing these things because it's clogging up your channels during tuition.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_01]: So, in thinking about intuition, I was just thinking about like, okay, there's obviously a confidence thing here, and if you don't have confidence, you often have doubt, right?
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: So, like, how do we figure out how to overcome doubt?
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: And so, I think this requires all of us a high-achieving, busy people to slow down.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: because your busy schedule can mass the intuition because you're not creating space to even hear it.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not saying quit things, I'm not saying stop doing things when I'm saying is like, how can you say no to some things?
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: Look at your schedules or anything, you can take off of it this week, but pressures are you doing?
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: It makes it really easy to start feeling with your feeling, which means getting into your intuition.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: Also, I think another thing you can journal about that will help you overcome doubt is recalling like past times your hunch was right.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think you need a little have like not a burn book, but like some sort of like wins, punch book, where you like put any hunches you followed on and then they were right.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's gonna help with the confidence that you need to overcome the doubt that is this my intuition or is this fear, right?
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: And then being patient, developing trust in your intuition takes time and consistency.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: And it is particularly going to take time if you're an overthinker, right?
- 13:28[SPEAKER_01]: just something to keep reminding yourself about because I get it like I've so many things I want to do have so many things I care about and the reality is I'm one human being and I can only do so much in a day and if I'm too busy I'm missing out on on picking up on things that might just be the best way to dial this way or that way that can change the course of the impact I want to make.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes we just get on a path and we're doing the more like fall in the directions like this is the path.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: I made it.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm here.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to just follow this path and then there's like, hey, do you want this path over here and you're like, I'm too busy to see that ding.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, hey, do you want to see this path over here?
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to get you there faster.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, oh, this is the path because I'm too busy.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not thinking about it.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: I also wanted to give you some prompts for your journal that will help you when it comes to your intuition.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: Here they are.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll have these in the blog on the show notes, so you can just copy and paste them.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_01]: What is my body trying to tell me right now?
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: You can even ask, I'll just give you a little second, or you hit pause.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: What is my body trying to tell me right now?
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: If I were to trust myself completely, what would I do?
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: What is it doing anything differently?
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: If I were to trust myself completely, what would I do?
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: What is the gut feeling I have about blink and why?
- 14:43[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're like, I don't hear my gut.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: She's not talking to me.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: Well, what do you think the gut feeling is about that thing?
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: Why do you think that?
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: What is one thing I know to be true?
- 14:53[SPEAKER_01]: Even if I cannot logically explain it, what is one thing I know to be true?
- 14:58[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that that's helpful.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's almost like, oh, that I know that to be true and it feels like this in my body.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_01]: So if it feels like this, and this thing over here I'm thinking about fills the same, even if I don't have logic for it, then they can vote the feelings of the same, so they can vote the true.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_01]: What is my inner voice feel like?
- 15:17[SPEAKER_01]: Is it a sound, a feeling of your vision?
- 15:18[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is helpful because I hear it as a voice, right?
- 15:24[SPEAKER_01]: But some of you are more consecutive.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_01]: Feel it, or you hear some sort of sound.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_01]: I know people that like, there's a scent that they'll smell and then they'll literally,
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: When they hear it, when they smell that scent, they'll stop and they'll listen to themselves and they'll actually hear their intuition.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: And the scent isn't that anywhere.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: So like for example, let's say the scent is jasmine.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: They'll be no jasmine plant around, but they smelled jasmine and then they like paid attention what they were thinking and that was how they did it.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_01]: Or is it a vision?
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: Can you see it happening in your brain?
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like, playing out.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_01]: So some more prompts.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_01]: Recall a time you'd nod your gut and what happened.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: So that helps you figure out what the signs are.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: Recall a time you trusted your intuition.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: What was that outcome?
- 16:08[SPEAKER_01]: When do I most feel in touch with my inner voice?
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what am I doing when I feel the most in touch with my inner voice?
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: That'll help you go and find it.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's like, oh, when I walk outside, well, then that helps you because then if you need a hearing and if you take a decision and you're like, I don't want to do, get the hell outside.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: What is one fear that's passing from listening to my intuition?
- 16:27[SPEAKER_01]: What is one fear that's stopping you from listening to my intuition?
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what do you have afraid of if you listen to it?
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't it so interesting how when we call out our fear, we actually say it out loud how silly it sounds?
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: All right, how can I honor my needs today?
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: The another prompt for your journal, how can I honor my needs today?
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: What does the best version of myself need to know today?
- 16:47[SPEAKER_01]: That's a be it, Taiji.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_01]: What is the best version of myself need to know today?
- 16:52[SPEAKER_01]: What feels heavy or forced right now?
- 16:55[SPEAKER_01]: What feels light and flowing right now?
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: And then you can complete the sentence.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: I am ready for the link.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_01]: And then last thing I just wanna leave you with is different ways to journal because I know you.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_01]: I know you and that's why I get on our guess.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: Like you can't just say journal, you have to tell them what to journal about.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_01]: So I gave you this props.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: But you can do free writing.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: I talked about that, that's like the artist's way or what David Corbin does just like writing what's like just going, just write your thoughts.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: or you can do more of a set the scene type thing.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_01]: So you create a quiet space, you take a few deep breaths and you use your journal to remove distractions.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: So you're probably going to have more of a prompt there, but like you're going to take a quiet time, ask yourself the question, take some deep breaths, but like set the scene.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_01]: And like for me, I will just write anywhere.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_01]: Some people need to go in their writing corner at that setting the scene.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: And then you have to reveal.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_01]: So in the artist's way, you're not, you don't read the notes back, but if you're doing the book during one of the week, closer to the end, you do go back and she has you look for certain words to see what the patterns are and that's gonna help you understand the recurring themes where it's our feelings.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: When you do that, that helps you realize your gut is talking to you and that your intuition is there.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: And it makes it easier for you to listen to it in the future without that.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: So, think on and just leave you with this, building trust, like building up that trust to listen to your intuition.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's necessary to pause, so you can distinguish between the true intuitive calm and the loud reactive fear.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I really do think that some of the reasons why, so many of us have a hard time listening to our intuition, sides from what societies pressures are, is that the fear voice is so loud because we spent so much time listening to it.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: we have had way more experience listening to the fear and sort of listening to our intuition.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: And that maybe because of the life that you've had prior to this and I need you to give yourself kindness and grace and I need you to consider getting the help around that, some professional help, if journaling for like, I've journaled all this, less like this is stupid, great, then you might need some help.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: And if you have a health help, get a different help.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: Right, because I can say confidently that at the times I've listened to my intuition, they've always led me.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, with obstacles, yes, with some pain, yes, with some frustration, but they've always led me further along and closer to the person I want to be.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I can connect the dots looking back, but I can definitely could not connect the dots when I was in it.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: There was no logical pattern for how is it going to get from a point A to point B.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: this house that we're in.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_01]: I told people I want to move by June 1st.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, I want to live there in June 1st.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, you can't buy a house in nine days.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_01]: There's always 30 days of extra.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, watch me do it.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: We found a person who want to divert over into own.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_01]: Guess what?
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: Move in nine days.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_01]: But the house on our contract indeed, and we did it, you know.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_01]: And there are so many times when logic was going to say that's not going to work out.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: I just kept trusting, like, what feels right?
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: When I walked in this house, I was like, I only was in the other houses.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: This is the house.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: They said the rooms are exactly where I want them to be.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: Is it perfect?
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: The outlets are fucking crooked.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: No, I got to fix those.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: But I think that's where you're using your gut instinct to get yourself, like when you trust it, when you can hear it, when you've got that muscle, it really helps you.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: not focus on what logic is saying, because if I'd focus on logic, then I would have waited probably a couple more months.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we'd done more taxes.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: It didn't have been too expensive.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_01]: We might have moved to Vegas.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: We wouldn't be able to afford.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: We would not be in our neighborhood.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: I can tell you that right now.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: I've been priced out.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_01]: We've been in a different neighborhood and have a office somewhere.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll just say maybe the last thing to say is this.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: Be mindful of who's opinions you listen to.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: That way you let talk you in or out of what your gut instinct says.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_01]: I have some people in my life that they disagree with me.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: I just like lean heavier.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, oh, yeah, because you don't like this idea.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's a good one.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_01]: But that might not be you, maybe if someone says those things to you, you actually doubt yourself.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I would say, they don't get to know the decisions that you're making.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: Not until you get stronger at it.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_01]: You're amazing.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: I hope that these two episodes on intuition are helpful.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_01]: We have Aina next week talking about listening to your body to heal yourself and we're gonna keep these amazing series going.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_01]: If you have more topics or we're gonna dive in even deeper of a question, send it in because that question couldn't have become in a two episode theories that we dive into and that could lead into a guess.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: All that kind of stuff.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: Don't keep it to yourself.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: How can we help you be able to tell you see it if we don't know what you're trying to be it till, right?
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
