Central Pender Park Opens August 3 | Wilmington News
Pender County’s long-awaited Central Pender Park is finally opening next Monday, August 3rd, with four lit athletic fields, a playground, picnic areas, and walking trails — all funded in part by the North Carolina Parks and Recreation Trust Fund. While the concession stand and permanent bathrooms are still being built, portable restrooms will be available. Director Zach White calls it a major community milestone, and a big ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for fall — stay tuned for the exact date.
