- 0:27Hey, everybody. Good morning from the chicken
- 0:30coop. So today we're talking about
- 0:32silence, which is funny because we're talking about silence,
- 0:35right? But there was a reason for it.
- 0:40Silence is something that is an incredibly powerful tool.
- 0:45And when you own it and you kind of are comfortable with it, even
- 0:48when you're talking to people and you just let silence happen,
- 0:51you say something and then you don't try to fill the space.
- 0:54There's power in that and. Throughout my life I have had to
- 0:58learn that being silent and not taking up the need to fill all
- 1:04the air in the you know with sound and talk and try to talk
- 1:08things through is very powerful and just being in silence can be
- 1:12the best way to heal yourself in situations.
- 1:15Not something I have been terribly good at and have had to
- 1:20practice multiple times and continue to have to practice in
- 1:23my life because I always have a need to understand, and in my
- 1:26need to understand I want to talk about things and quite
- 1:29honestly it doesn't always work. So the concept of sitting in
- 1:34silence and allowing just that space to take place is so
- 1:40powerful because as you sit in it and you allow it to just take
- 1:43place. You actually start healing from
- 1:47whatever is irritating you, frustrating you, making you sad,
- 1:50and just being quiet is healing. It's just powerful.
- 1:57It's kind of like if you've ever been in traffic or you're lost
- 2:00and you're trying to figure out how to get somewhere.
- 2:02How many times have you shut the music off in the car and just
- 2:05said I needed to be quiet? So I can think it's it's such a
- 2:09telling strong metaphor, but. How many times have we done
- 2:12that? I can't think with the music on
- 2:14and you shut it off and you just want it to be quiet.
- 2:18Or when you get into, you're in a loud environment, like if
- 2:21you're at a mall or you're with big crowds, you just want to get
- 2:24in the car and have it be quiet so you can claim yourself back.
- 2:27And that's how it really feels. It's like claiming yourself so
- 2:30when you're in a frustrating moment with somebody, or you've
- 2:33been in an argument or you're hurt from a situation.
- 2:37The desire to heal the situation sometimes, maybe to go and talk
- 2:41about it, but honestly, the silence collectively is powerful
- 2:47when you just sit with it and you're like, OK, I'm just going
- 2:49to let it go. Because if you don't talk to the
- 2:52person for a bit of time and you don't do it out of spite, you
- 2:55just like, OK, I just, you know, chilling out, not talking.
- 2:59It gives you that time and that grace to diffuse and make
- 3:03decisions better. Because remember, you've heard
- 3:05me say this before. When emotions go up,
- 3:07intelligence goes down and it is handedly one of the quickest
- 3:12things to recalibrate yourself to recognize that and the power
- 3:17in the silence, even engaging in people's drama or they want to
- 3:21talk about drama and you just don't.
- 3:23You won't do it. You just sit there.
- 3:24I mean, that's one of the things that I have to say is my.
- 3:29That that is one of my really hard rules.
- 3:32I just don't want to engage in drama.
- 3:33So if people want to talk about stuff, if they want to talk
- 3:36politics or about their spouses or their partners and they just
- 3:40want to complain, I don't want to hear.
- 3:42It's okay if you want to talk about it and look for solutions.
- 3:45But if you want to talk about it just to complain, yeah, I'm.
- 3:48I'm so not your person because it doesn't do any good.
- 3:51It only adds to the energy that's the problem.
- 3:54And the energy that's the problem needs to be corrected or
- 3:57you'll start attracting more of it.
- 3:59So when you're in silence, it's like being a neutral.
- 4:03It's like actually saying okay, I'm just going to like stay in
- 4:06this nice, cool state right now where it's like, it's neutral
- 4:10like Switzerland. No opinions, no engaging, just
- 4:14chilling out. So I'm going to challenge you
- 4:17guys to find your silence, do something that allows you to
- 4:21just relax. Put yourself in that position of
- 4:24just being like, I don't need to talk.
- 4:26Even if you just choose to say, I'm not going to talk a lot
- 4:28today, Whatever you're doing, you just try to let it be and.
- 4:34Chill down. Just like bring the bring the
- 4:37temperature way down. Cool yourself down emotionally
- 4:41and you will be surprised at how much more power you feel, how
- 4:45much more empowered your your senses feel when, and you just.
- 4:51Legitimately. Just calm right down.
- 4:53It's a beautiful, beautiful thing.
- 4:55And it's so worth the effort. Every little bit of it is worth
- 4:57the effort. Is it always easy?
- 5:00No, because we're conditioned to just talk and talk and talk and
- 5:03talk and talk. And I know I am.
- 5:06And doing the silent thing is hard, but it is wonderful.
- 5:10So go find your silence. Go find your power.
- 5:13Reclaim yourself, heal yourself and enjoy that.
- 5:16All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and I
- 5:19will see you tomorrow. Bye.
- 5:20I'm a.
