- 1:34- Welcome to the divine five one five podcast.
- 1:38- Here is today's prayer.
- 1:45- Hello, and welcome to divine five one five
- 1:48- daily prayers with Valerie Grotcher.
- 1:51- I'm your host. And today's prayer topic is
- 1:54- if you're feeling alone,
- 1:56- what to do when life feels too heavy.
- 2:00- Scriptural text comes from Galatians six two and
- 2:03- reads, carry each other's burdens. And in this
- 2:05- way, you will fulfill the love of Christ.
- 2:09- Well, it is definitely
- 2:11- a real reality that loneliness
- 2:14- doesn't always look like being by yourself.
- 2:18- Sometimes it looks like carrying responsibility,
- 2:20- certain disappointments,
- 2:22- and unanswered prayers without letting anyone know you're
- 2:25- struggling.
- 2:27- If you will, this is if you're in
- 2:29- a crowd of people
- 2:32- and
- 2:33- you see everyone, but
- 2:35- no one sees you.
- 2:37- Or at least there's the appearance that no
- 2:40- one sees you.
- 2:42- So
- 2:43- in your mind, you're wondering, does anybody see
- 2:46- me? Does anyone care? Doesn't anybody see all
- 2:49- the
- 2:50- the the tears that I'm crying?
- 2:52- I'm I'm buckling up under the stress and
- 2:54- the worry.
- 2:56- Doesn't anyone care?
- 2:58- God, do you even see me?
- 3:01- Does it even matter who I am, what
- 3:03- I'm going through?
- 3:06- And we often believed that asking for help
- 3:10- is a sign of weakness.
- 3:12- But
- 3:14- look luckily and prayerfully for us, God designed
- 3:18- us to find strength through him and through
- 3:20- the encouragement of others.
- 3:22- And
- 3:23- even in the scripture,
- 3:26- the scripture text that comes to mind is
- 3:28- when Jesus sent out the disciples,
- 3:31- he always sent them out two by two.
- 3:34- Why? Because iron sharpens iron.
- 3:37- If one person,
- 3:39- gets discouraged, the other person can speak life
- 3:42- into them
- 3:44- and,
- 3:46- can pray for them.
- 3:47- And that's how we
- 3:49- keep each other
- 3:51- lifted up.
- 3:52- You know, this thing called life is it's
- 3:54- tough. It really, really is, and it can
- 3:56- feel
- 3:57- excessively
- 3:58- overwhelming.
- 3:59- And even the strongest of intercessors or the
- 4:02- strongest of believers
- 4:04- can come and will come to a place
- 4:06- where you feel overwhelmed at times and need
- 4:09- someone to speak life into you.
- 4:12- So just know
- 4:14- that
- 4:15- as you water someone with words of encouragement
- 4:20- to others,
- 4:22- God will allow others to
- 4:25- to water you also.
- 4:27- And even if he doesn't,
- 4:29- he will always encourage you. All you have
- 4:32- to do is just open up the book.
- 4:36- That being said,
- 4:38- let's pray.
- 4:41- Father God, you know every burden we've been
- 4:44- carrying, even the ones
- 4:46- we've kept hidden from everyone else.
- 4:49- Thank you for reminding us that we are
- 4:52- never
- 4:54- alone, and we were never meant
- 4:56- to walk alone.
- 4:58- Help us release the pressure to have everything
- 5:01- together, and give us humility to receive encouragement
- 5:05- when we need it.
- 5:08- Surround us with people who will strengthen our
- 5:10- faith and point us back to you.
- 5:13- Above all, father, remind us that your presence
- 5:17- is always with us, and your grace is
- 5:20- always enough.
- 5:22- And we will bless you in Jesus name.
- 5:23- Amen.
- 5:26- Before you continue your day,
- 5:28- take a moment and ask God to show
- 5:30- you
- 5:31- one burden you've been carrying alone.
- 5:36- Bring it to him in prayer.
- 5:38- And if he places someone on your heart,
- 5:41- don't be afraid to let them pray for
- 5:43- you.
- 5:46- If today's prayer encouraged you,
- 5:49- continue to follow us on divine five one
