- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to Dirty Rush, The Truth about Sorority Life, with
- 0:04Speaker 1: your hosts me Gia, Judice.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Daisy Kent, and Jennifer Kessler.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Hey, guys, it's Gia. Welcome to an episode of Dirty
- 0:14Speaker 1: Rush that is so hush hush, it's completely anonymous. We
- 0:17Speaker 1: are taking you inside some of the most sourid sorority
- 0:20Speaker 1: scandals that were never meant to be shared. The stories
- 0:23Speaker 1: you are about to hear expose the dirty side of
- 0:26Speaker 1: sorority life, from misconduct to cover ups and everything in between.
- 0:31Speaker 1: These scandals have been kept secret until now.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I was in a sorority at a school in southern
- 0:42Speaker 2: California and my sorority had a formal at Dodger Stadium
- 0:51Speaker 2: and it was the coolest formal I think in the
- 0:54Speaker 2: history of the sorority or probably ever because who has
- 0:58Speaker 2: their formal Dodger Stadium. But we did this year and
- 1:03Speaker 2: everyone was so excited for it. It was so fun
- 1:07Speaker 2: and it was just everyone was just looking forward to it.
- 1:12Speaker 2: So I was actually on exec when this happened, so
- 1:17Speaker 2: it was even more scandalous for me in the sense
- 1:21Speaker 2: that we had to deal with aftermath a bit. But
- 1:23Speaker 2: during our formal, we you know, as a formal night goes,
- 1:30Speaker 2: a lot of people had a little bit too much
- 1:32Speaker 2: to drink, and it was way too nice of a
- 1:36Speaker 2: venue and way too historical of a venue to host
- 1:40Speaker 2: a sorority formal because there was a lot of throw
- 1:44Speaker 2: up happening everywhere, and long story short, we got kicked
- 1:48Speaker 2: out two hours before our formal was supposed to end,
- 1:53Speaker 2: So our formal got cut really really short, rightfully so,
- 1:58Speaker 2: but the scandal of it all was the fact that
- 2:01Speaker 2: they had a wedding in there the very next morning,
- 2:05Speaker 2: and so it was this whole thing about how they
- 2:08Speaker 2: had to like rip up the carpet and clean it
- 2:11Speaker 2: up and like flip it over for the wedding the
- 2:14Speaker 2: next day, and we were banned from ever doing an
- 2:18Speaker 2: event there again. And I would probably argue to say
- 2:21Speaker 2: that we were the last sorority fraternity event to ever
- 2:26Speaker 2: happen at Dodger stadiums if I was Dodger Stadium, I
- 2:31Speaker 2: would never do one moving forward either, So I completely understand.
- 2:35Speaker 2: But it was the scandal of my time in the
- 2:41Speaker 2: sorority at school and during college, because it was the
- 2:47Speaker 2: talk of the town, and especially being on exec it
- 2:51Speaker 2: was just one of those things that we had to
- 2:52Speaker 2: call so many people into standards because it was I mean,
- 2:57Speaker 2: it was such a show.
- 3:00Speaker 3: It just was.
- 3:02Speaker 2: It was just like not only did we get kicked out,
- 3:04Speaker 2: but we had to like pay like the security deposit,
- 3:07Speaker 2: We got our hands slapped from like our advisory board,
- 3:12Speaker 2: and it was just not good at all. It was
- 3:16Speaker 2: not a good look. But also it was just it
- 3:19Speaker 2: was just bad, bad, bad. But it is one of
- 3:21Speaker 2: those events that looking back on it, everyone still talks
- 3:27Speaker 2: about it. Remember when we had our formal at Dodger
- 3:30Speaker 2: Stadium and look, I had the time of my life.
- 3:34Speaker 2: I was not one of the people that threw up everywhere,
- 3:36Speaker 2: so I was. I was not in trouble, but it
- 3:39Speaker 2: was it was definitely fun.
- 3:43Speaker 3: My scandalous story happened last year. This was an absolutely crazy,
- 3:52Speaker 3: unexpected thing to see because the craziest part was we
- 3:56Speaker 3: found out about something that had happened at our school
- 3:58Speaker 3: in a California store through a news article and a
- 4:03Speaker 3: news report rather than through word of mouth. So basically,
- 4:08Speaker 3: an unexpected situation happened on a very common street in
- 4:12Speaker 3: my college town where a lot of sorority houses are
- 4:15Speaker 3: and also a lot of fraternities, and basically we found
- 4:19Speaker 3: out that there had been a man who was arousing
- 4:23Speaker 3: the area, kind of poking his head into houses, keeping
- 4:27Speaker 3: an eye on the girls' schedules. And it turns out
- 4:31Speaker 3: that there was an intruder in a sorority at my
- 4:34Speaker 3: school who had been planning, for lack of a better term,
- 4:39Speaker 3: planning an attack on a sorority house. So he had
- 4:43Speaker 3: kind of coordinated the time to enter a home when
- 4:46Speaker 3: he knew that there were girls who were not in
- 4:49Speaker 3: the house, and it turns out that he was actually
- 4:53Speaker 3: a convicted felon. He was in the house at around
- 4:59Speaker 3: three AI when a lot of the girls were asleep,
- 5:02Speaker 3: and he fled the home through one of their bedrooms
- 5:05Speaker 3: at about six AM. So the timing of that is
- 5:08Speaker 3: really scary because it means he was in the house
- 5:10Speaker 3: for three hours, completely unknown, unattended, just kind of making
- 5:15Speaker 3: himself at home in this sorority house. And it turns
- 5:20Speaker 3: out that he was a man who was watching the
- 5:23Speaker 3: girls in the communal showers. He had taken food from
- 5:26Speaker 3: the house, he stole underwear from one of the girl's rooms,
- 5:31Speaker 3: and it turns out once he was arrested and this
- 5:34Speaker 3: whole situation was uncovered, it turns out that he's actually
- 5:37Speaker 3: convicted felon. He had multiple firearms in his possession in
- 5:41Speaker 3: his car, and he was ended up being tried for
- 5:46Speaker 3: growling and peeking as well as invaded privacy and the
- 5:50Speaker 3: possession of ammunition by a felon. So this was something
- 5:54Speaker 3: that happened that was really obviously very scary because I
- 5:58Speaker 3: can confidently say I felt so safe in my college town.
- 6:02Speaker 3: It felt so safe in my sorority house, and when
- 6:05Speaker 3: this all came out, it definitely kind of shook the area,
- 6:08Speaker 3: and it obviously led to us considering a lot more
- 6:10Speaker 3: safety protocol and safety measures. I know there are a
- 6:13Speaker 3: lot of schools, especially in California, who have security guards
- 6:17Speaker 3: who sit at the front door of storty houses to
- 6:19Speaker 3: make sure that the girls are safe, especially in busier areas,
- 6:23Speaker 3: but my town does not have that, and I think
- 6:25Speaker 3: this situation definitely led us to consider whether or not
- 6:29Speaker 3: we were doing enough to keep everyone safe, especially because
- 6:33Speaker 3: a lot of the houses here have a lot of windows,
- 6:35Speaker 3: they have a lot of you know, back entrances, girls
- 6:39Speaker 3: coming in and out of the house constantly, and sometimes
- 6:41Speaker 3: the doors don't get closed.
- 6:43Speaker 4: All the way.
- 6:43Speaker 3: So in an area that has, you know, some safety concerns.
- 6:48Speaker 3: It's definitely it was definitely a situation that really spooked us.
- 6:53Speaker 3: And it was also something that was so insanely unexpected
- 6:56Speaker 3: because this is an area that is really busy. There
- 7:01Speaker 3: are several Greek Life affiliated houses on that street. And
- 7:06Speaker 3: so the fact that this man was able to come
- 7:08Speaker 3: in while the girls were sleeping, he had done his research,
- 7:11Speaker 3: he knew when they were all asleep and managed to
- 7:14Speaker 3: get into a bedroom is really, you know, for lack
- 7:18Speaker 3: of a better term, scandalous but also just very scary.
- 7:21Speaker 3: So that I think is a big story that was
- 7:24Speaker 3: told here. I also have another situation that happened. So
- 7:30Speaker 3: before I joined Greek Life, I had heard a lot about,
- 7:34Speaker 3: you know, kind of the stereotypes and the stories of
- 7:36Speaker 3: going through recruitment and what it means to be an
- 7:38Speaker 3: exec And I've heard a lot about this through family members,
- 7:42Speaker 3: and a story that I heard before I had even
- 7:43Speaker 3: joined my sorority was through one of my close family
- 7:46Speaker 3: members who was in a sorority herself in college. And
- 7:51Speaker 3: as the story goes, some of the details are a
- 7:53Speaker 3: little bit hazy, considering I think a lot of the
- 7:56Speaker 3: information was kept off of the Internet for legal reasons,
- 7:59Speaker 3: but one of the members of her sorority in an
- 8:03Speaker 3: exec position, had actually been money laundering the entire time
- 8:08Speaker 3: she was in an exec position. She had been taking
- 8:10Speaker 3: money directly from the sorority, directly from the national foundation,
- 8:15Speaker 3: and had been wiring it into her own account, which,
- 8:20Speaker 3: if you know anything about exec in a sorority, that
- 8:24Speaker 3: is extremely extremely difficult. That is something that I have
- 8:28Speaker 3: no idea the logistics, I have no idea how she
- 8:31Speaker 3: could have even managed that. But it turns out she
- 8:32Speaker 3: had been doing that for her entire time as an
- 8:35Speaker 3: exec member in the sorority. She had taken thousands and
- 8:38Speaker 3: thousands of dollars to the point where, if I remember correctly,
- 8:42Speaker 3: the sorority actually had to file for bankruptcy and had
- 8:45Speaker 3: to request more funds from the national organization. And once
- 8:50Speaker 3: this all came out, it turned out that this girl,
- 8:53Speaker 3: you know, had been taking a lot of money from
- 8:55Speaker 3: other places. She had been buying herself expensive jewelry. She'd
- 8:59Speaker 3: been buying herself, you know, luxury items, all from her sorority.
- 9:04Speaker 3: So obviously, no surprises. She was in fact dropped. She
- 9:08Speaker 3: was put on whatever the most extreme version of probation
- 9:12Speaker 3: is and was no longer able to be a part
- 9:14Speaker 3: of that sorority anymore. And it turns out she actually
- 9:17Speaker 3: managed to acquire two hundred thousand dollars of embezzled funds
- 9:22Speaker 3: from her sorority house, using the money to purchase items
- 9:25Speaker 3: like gifts, expensive expensive gifts for her boyfriend, including a car,
- 9:31Speaker 3: buying him drugs, and paying for every day living expenses,
- 9:33Speaker 3: including her own personal housing separate to living in her
- 9:37Speaker 3: storrity house. I'm not sure where she is today, but
- 9:40Speaker 3: I would assume that there has been some sort of,
- 9:42Speaker 3: you know, felony convictions they are considering. That is probably
- 9:47Speaker 3: the highest degree of fevery for about lack of a
- 9:52Speaker 3: better term.
- 10:07Speaker 5: The biggest scandal that happened throughout my four years in
- 10:13Speaker 5: my sorority. I was in kind of what was advertised
- 10:19Speaker 5: as like the nice, sporty, cool down to earth sorority,
- 10:24Speaker 5: and that was kind of There wasn't a lot of
- 10:27Speaker 5: bells and whistles and glitz and glam throughout the recruitment process.
- 10:30Speaker 5: It really felt like all these girls were very genuine
- 10:34Speaker 5: and a large part of that were the senior class
- 10:38Speaker 5: was very involved in recruitment, which is kind of less
- 10:42Speaker 5: of a thing, just because typically by the time you
- 10:45Speaker 5: know it's their fourth year in your sorority, a lot
- 10:48Speaker 5: of the girls have dropped their sorority or aren't as involved.
- 10:51Speaker 5: And when I was going through recruitment as a freshman,
- 10:55Speaker 5: the seniors were very heavily involved in the process. They
- 10:58Speaker 5: were all on exec There was a big group of
- 11:00Speaker 5: friends that yeah, like all had different exact positions, and
- 11:05Speaker 5: it seemed like, wow, this this sorority has amazing retention, right,
- 11:08Speaker 5: and like everyone seems to still love it four years in.
- 11:13Speaker 5: And that think was that was a reason why me
- 11:15Speaker 5: and a lot of my friends joined this sorty. It
- 11:18Speaker 5: felt like it was a lot of very genuine girls,
- 11:20Speaker 5: and I do think that that was very much the case.
- 11:24Speaker 5: But on the other side of it, I think that
- 11:28Speaker 5: group of senior girls really had like an iron grip
- 11:34Speaker 5: on the control over the sorority and they were very,
- 11:39Speaker 5: very involved in like the overall image we quickly found
- 11:44Speaker 5: and I will never forget, Like the first chapter meeting
- 11:47Speaker 5: we had, they had overheard one story that happened between
- 11:53Speaker 5: like a three girls out of our whole seventy person
- 11:59Speaker 5: new member class. They heard one story and like ripped
- 12:03Speaker 5: us a new one at chapter, they told us, we
- 12:07Speaker 5: have never heard this bad of a story about any
- 12:11Speaker 5: new member class. You guys are the worst PC ever.
- 12:14Speaker 5: They literally told us that, and then we named our
- 12:16Speaker 5: group chat the worst PC ever. And they every time
- 12:20Speaker 5: at chapter they would just yell at us. They really
- 12:23Speaker 5: were on a power trip. And this kind of just
- 12:26Speaker 5: set the tone for the year because we were as
- 12:31Speaker 5: a new member class were scared to go to the house,
- 12:34Speaker 5: We were scared to go to meals, we were scared
- 12:36Speaker 5: to go to events because we didn't want to like
- 12:39Speaker 5: be you know, live up to our name as being
- 12:41Speaker 5: like the worst PC ever. And it all came to
- 12:45Speaker 5: a head when it was right when we had gotten
- 12:48Speaker 5: back from winter break. It was January, and my sorority
- 12:53Speaker 5: has things called pinnings. There are these events. They're basically
- 12:56Speaker 5: like a frat wedding between a sorority. It's like a
- 13:00Speaker 5: seniors sorority girl and a senior frat guy who have
- 13:03Speaker 5: been dating for a while and they have we throw
- 13:04Speaker 5: in this big party whatever. Everyone gets very drunk and
- 13:09Speaker 5: their emotions were running high, and a big thing with
- 13:12Speaker 5: the senior classes, they would always declare that like the
- 13:15Speaker 5: first bust was the senior bus and nobody else could
- 13:19Speaker 5: get on it. Well, we're taking a bus home from
- 13:21Speaker 5: the venue and there is a girl that doesn't who's
- 13:25Speaker 5: a freshman. She doesn't feel very well and she also
- 13:30Speaker 5: was assigned to be like a sober monitor for the night,
- 13:33Speaker 5: and she's like only like and she wants to get
- 13:35Speaker 5: on the first bus home. Well, that first bus home
- 13:38Speaker 5: was the senior bus, and there was a particular she
- 13:43Speaker 5: was on exec and there was one senior who was
- 13:46Speaker 5: on a very much a high horse. They all were,
- 13:52Speaker 5: but this one in particular, she just wanted full control
- 13:58Speaker 5: over everyone in the sorority and everyone to know it
- 14:00Speaker 5: that like she was boss and basically this freshman who
- 14:05Speaker 5: was supposed to be.
- 14:06Speaker 6: And let me back up here.
- 14:08Speaker 5: The thing about, so if you were assigned as a
- 14:10Speaker 5: sober monitor for an event, that means in those jobs,
- 14:14Speaker 5: en roles usually go to freshmen because it's in like
- 14:17Speaker 5: a lottery system, and younger girls just tend to be
- 14:21Speaker 5: the sober monitors because the older girls don't want to
- 14:23Speaker 5: be And it's your job that there is at least
- 14:28Speaker 5: one sober monitor on every bus. And this girl was
- 14:31Speaker 5: the sober monitor for the night, and she gets on
- 14:35Speaker 5: the quote senior bus on the way back to UCLA,
- 14:39Speaker 5: and this senior girl looks this freshman who is a
- 14:45Speaker 5: it's her job assigned by sorority to be on this bus,
- 14:48Speaker 5: and she starts shouting at her that she needs to
- 14:51Speaker 5: get off the bus. This is a senior bus that
- 14:53Speaker 5: our new member class has some nerve for always like
- 14:57Speaker 5: you know, overstepping. And when she was a freshman, she
- 15:00Speaker 5: knew her place. And basically this freshman is like, hey,
- 15:04Speaker 5: I'm supposed to be here. I need to be on
- 15:05Speaker 5: this bus, like I don't want to get in trouble,
- 15:07Speaker 5: and this she like pushes past the senior girl, and
- 15:11Speaker 5: the senior girl pushes her, physically pushes her off the bus,
- 15:16Speaker 5: and some other girls like jumped in and are also
- 15:19Speaker 5: yelling her to get off the bus, and emotions were
- 15:22Speaker 5: riding high. Everyone was clearly intoxicated. But this was awful like.
- 15:27Speaker 5: They treated her terribly and so much so that this
- 15:32Speaker 5: girl went home and wrote a long letter and sent
- 15:38Speaker 5: it to our two hundred person wide whole sorority grouped
- 15:42Speaker 5: me about the reasons why she was dropping the sorority
- 15:46Speaker 5: and how awful like she was treated at this event
- 15:50Speaker 5: and how she would never want to be in a
- 15:51Speaker 5: sorority the ad girls that treated, you know, the younger
- 15:54Speaker 5: classman that way, and that there had been multiple occurrences
- 15:58Speaker 5: of this, and that this was like the final straw
- 16:02Speaker 5: and the rest of us freshmen were like a gas
- 16:06Speaker 5: that someone finally stood up and said something, but also
- 16:10Speaker 5: that it pushed her so much to the edge that
- 16:12Speaker 5: she dropped. And we didn't know explicitly what had happened
- 16:15Speaker 5: from this text, but that something must have went down
- 16:20Speaker 5: that really just put her to a breaking point. So
- 16:25Speaker 5: that event was like on a Friday night. That Sunday,
- 16:27Speaker 5: we had an emergency what we would call fireside, which
- 16:30Speaker 5: was like a sorority wide meeting chat where we would
- 16:36Speaker 5: really open up and get to the bottom of what
- 16:39Speaker 5: was going on, and that clearly there were serious issues
- 16:42Speaker 5: that were going on in the sorority. And our advisor came.
- 16:47Speaker 5: She was in tears. She was so distraught that this
- 16:51Speaker 5: is what it had come to, that like the sorority
- 16:54Speaker 5: that she knew and loved had like was treating each
- 16:58Speaker 5: other this way and it was a big deal. And
- 17:01Speaker 5: that senior that was the main queen bee she was
- 17:05Speaker 5: supposed to have a pinning the next week it was
- 17:07Speaker 5: canceled revoked. She had been dating her boyfriend for all
- 17:09Speaker 5: four years of college. She did not get a pinning,
- 17:11Speaker 5: and she essentially like was barred from future events, and
- 17:16Speaker 5: that whole senior like senior class had just like a
- 17:20Speaker 5: dark cloud over them. And I think our new member
- 17:25Speaker 5: class was we moved in the house next year the
- 17:29Speaker 5: following year, and we were like the closest PC ever,
- 17:33Speaker 5: I think, because we honestly were all like trauma bonded
- 17:36Speaker 5: by how awful these seniors were. And yeah, it just
- 17:42Speaker 5: was this like awful, crazy thing. And the worst part
- 17:46Speaker 5: about it is that it didn't stay like insulurt didn't
- 17:48Speaker 5: stay a story within our sorority. But everybody knew about it.
- 17:52Speaker 5: And at the time yik yak, which is like an
- 17:54Speaker 5: online reddit style like anonymous forum where people can submit
- 17:59Speaker 5: like tips and things and like up arrow downer or
- 18:02Speaker 5: them if they're more popular, and people were talking all
- 18:06Speaker 5: over about how our sorority was just like totally and
- 18:11Speaker 5: of course like reputations, everything was totally like the mean
- 18:14Speaker 5: girl sorority and that you know, the seniors were awful
- 18:17Speaker 5: to the freshmen and that it wasn't assorty, that anyone
- 18:19Speaker 5: wanted to be a part of. So it not only
- 18:21Speaker 5: like made us all feel horrible, but it really tainted
- 18:23Speaker 5: our reputation when we had like worked so hard to
- 18:26Speaker 5: be the girls the house that had like the nice,
- 18:31Speaker 5: hard working, genuine down to earth girls. And so I
- 18:37Speaker 5: think we did repair that rep but those seniors in
- 18:40Speaker 5: my head still just have like a dark cloud over them.
- 18:46Speaker 5: And I would never want to treat a younger classman
- 18:48Speaker 5: the way, and we made it a point that we
- 18:50Speaker 5: would never treat the younger classmen the way that they
- 18:53Speaker 5: treated us.
- 18:55Speaker 7: So we did virtual rush because it was COVID when
- 18:58Speaker 7: I was rushing, and this very key important detail. So
- 19:03Speaker 7: it's freshman year and everything is supposed to be shut down,
- 19:07Speaker 7: but we're doing like secret frat parties and things like that.
- 19:11Speaker 7: And at one of the frat parties, my friend hooked
- 19:14Speaker 7: up with this guy who we all called George Bush
- 19:17Speaker 7: because he apparently had like a massive bush and she
- 19:22Speaker 7: is she was like a super virgin, like had never
- 19:25Speaker 7: seen a penis in her life, and she ended up
- 19:29Speaker 7: hooking up with him one night when we were at
- 19:31Speaker 7: a secret frat party, and she actually ended up losing
- 19:34Speaker 7: her virginity to him, and he was like telling her like,
- 19:38Speaker 7: sit on my sit on her face, and she's gonna
- 19:41Speaker 7: make her come and like all of these dirty things.
- 19:43Speaker 6: And she like hadn't even seen a penis before, so
- 19:45Speaker 6: she was really.
- 19:46Speaker 7: Confused as to like what any of that meant. And
- 19:48Speaker 7: she was like genuinely a fresh virgin.
- 19:52Speaker 6: So she's hooking up with him.
- 19:54Speaker 7: He's on top of her and they're like making out,
- 19:56Speaker 7: and her nose starts bleeding and he like pulls away
- 20:01Speaker 7: and she's like, oh my god, like your face has
- 20:02Speaker 7: blood all over it, Like what's going on? And then
- 20:04Speaker 7: he was like, actually, your face has blood like dripping
- 20:08Speaker 7: from it. So they like get up and they go
- 20:10Speaker 7: to the bathroom and he like boner staking out like
- 20:13Speaker 7: bush in full action, is like wiping the blood off
- 20:17Speaker 7: of her face, and she bolted the room and ended
- 20:20Speaker 7: up ubering home so like literally wiping blood it off,
- 20:23Speaker 7: and then she just like like ghosted him. So the
- 20:26Speaker 7: next weekend, we had like a virtual Zoom Sisterhood event
- 20:30Speaker 7: where we all got put into breakout rooms to just
- 20:33Speaker 7: kind of like get more comfortable with each other and
- 20:36Speaker 7: like be able to know that like we can confide
- 20:38Speaker 7: in these older girls. So they were like kind of
- 20:40Speaker 7: asking us to like tell stories, and we were all
- 20:42Speaker 7: talking about like bad hookup stories. So my friend ends
- 20:46Speaker 7: up telling this story and mentions the George Bush and
- 20:50Speaker 7: about eight girls at one time the breakout room was
- 20:52Speaker 7: like sixteen girls. We're like, what, like does it happen
- 20:56Speaker 7: to be this guy in this fraternity And a day
- 21:00Speaker 7: and we found out all collectively, like at the same time,
- 21:03Speaker 7: each girl was telling their story that they had had
- 21:06Speaker 7: sex with him, like within.
- 21:08Speaker 6: The past month. So there was nine girls half.
- 21:11Speaker 7: Of our breakout room, more than half of our breakout
- 21:13Speaker 7: room in that zoom during a sisterhood event had hooked
- 21:16Speaker 7: up with the same man within the past three weeks.
- 21:19Speaker 6: And it just definitely is not in there.
- 21:21Speaker 7: We were pretty rowdy to say the least, and in
- 21:26Speaker 7: our sorority house. So the next year we were in
- 21:28Speaker 7: our sorority house living there and there was something passed
- 21:31Speaker 7: down called Remy the Rat, and it was like a
- 21:33Speaker 7: little stuffed rat that we would all hide in the
- 21:36Speaker 7: house and then the person who found it had to
- 21:38Speaker 7: hide it again. But we actually ended up doing a
- 21:41Speaker 7: dildo instead, so instead of Remy the Rat, we had
- 21:46Speaker 7: Drake the dildo, and like every time we would come
- 21:49Speaker 7: home from going out or anything, we would just always
- 21:51Speaker 7: find it, like mess with it.
- 21:53Speaker 6: And one day we had been like a tailgate for.
- 21:57Speaker 7: A football game and we were all intoxicated and went
- 22:01Speaker 7: back to the sorority house and we're all playing in
- 22:03Speaker 7: my room and the window was open because some people
- 22:07Speaker 7: were smoking. We were just being like honestly trashy and
- 22:12Speaker 7: playing with a dildo and we were like physically all
- 22:15Speaker 7: fighting with it, and one of my friends just like
- 22:18Speaker 7: threw it out the window and actually ended up hitting
- 22:21Speaker 7: a little girl, like a child, like probably a six
- 22:25Speaker 7: year old little girl, smacking her in the face. And
- 22:29Speaker 7: so like a couple days later, our sorority mom or
- 22:32Speaker 7: house mom ends up being like, hi, guys, So we
- 22:36Speaker 7: did a meeting a little girl and her mom came
- 22:40Speaker 7: by the house and complained about this bruise on this
- 22:43Speaker 7: child's face and showed us a picture of it. It
- 22:47Speaker 7: was literally like the shape of a dildo on a
- 22:50Speaker 7: six year old's face. And when when we threw it
- 22:54Speaker 7: out there and it hit her in the face, like
- 22:55Speaker 7: you could hear it literally like smack her face and
- 22:57Speaker 7: then hit the ground and it sounded like flesh like
- 22:59Speaker 7: we all were on the ground hiding so drunk, like
- 23:03Speaker 7: so messed up and like laughing obviously, but we didn't
- 23:06Speaker 7: know that it would like actually get that bad to
- 23:08Speaker 7: the point that they would show back up at our house.
- 23:10Speaker 6: Like with proof of the dildo hitting her in the face.
- 23:14Speaker 7: So we all got in really big trouble, like terrible trouble,
- 23:17Speaker 7: and we ended up like having to hide from our
- 23:19Speaker 7: house mom for the rest of the year.
- 23:35Speaker 4: All right. So a couple of my juicy stories that
- 23:39Speaker 4: came from living in the sorority house. One of them
- 23:43Speaker 4: was the first week living there, I had a neighbor
- 23:47Speaker 4: and was getting to know her. She was like a
- 23:50Speaker 4: cool girl whatever, And like a couple of nights after
- 23:53Speaker 4: our first night's going out, like someone was like packing
- 23:57Speaker 4: up all her stuff and she was nowhere to be found,
- 23:59Speaker 4: and we were all super confused. We found out that
- 24:03Speaker 4: she actually punched another girl in a different sorority for
- 24:08Speaker 4: like kissing her boyfriend or something, and she got kicked
- 24:12Speaker 4: out of our sorority house and the girl had like
- 24:14Speaker 4: a black eye.
- 24:15Speaker 3: It was like a.
- 24:17Speaker 4: Huge scandal on my campus. Another one, I was at
- 24:22Speaker 4: a frat party one time with like all my sorority
- 24:25Speaker 4: sisters and whatever. We were dancing. I had that phone
- 24:29Speaker 4: wallet type thing, so all my cards were in there
- 24:34Speaker 4: and it fell off and I realized the next morning
- 24:38Speaker 4: and I was like, she wears my wallet with all
- 24:41Speaker 4: my cards. And we were leaving for Mexico spring break
- 24:44Speaker 4: the next week, and so me and my friends went
- 24:46Speaker 4: to like the frat house. We went through all the
- 24:49Speaker 4: garbages everywhere, just trying to find it, and we couldn't
- 24:51Speaker 4: find it anywhere. I was panicking, and my guy friend
- 24:57Speaker 4: from the frat came up to me at another party
- 25:00Speaker 4: like the next day, and he was like, oh, no,
- 25:02Speaker 4: I know what happened to your cards. Like a kid
- 25:05Speaker 4: in my frat saw them all on the ground and
- 25:06Speaker 4: was like, whoever's these are like this, and he chucked
- 25:10Speaker 4: them into the woods. So then I texted the guy
- 25:13Speaker 4: and I was like, you can either go like find
- 25:15Speaker 4: every single one of my cards and give me them back,
- 25:19Speaker 4: or like I'm reporting you to whatever it is, like
- 25:21Speaker 4: the frats. And so he went on to the woods,
- 25:25Speaker 4: got every single one and like returned them back to me,
- 25:27Speaker 4: and they were all like filthy, dirty, like disgusting. I
- 25:31Speaker 4: know one story of a girl who at a bar,
- 25:35Speaker 4: she was like previously getting with this guy and he,
- 25:40Speaker 4: I guess just ended things with her. They were on
- 25:42Speaker 4: bad terms, and so she like walked by him and
- 25:46Speaker 4: like kind of called him a name at the bar,
- 25:48Speaker 4: and these two other girls ended up like totally like
- 25:50Speaker 4: jumping her and like pouring their drink on her. And
- 25:53Speaker 4: I know she had a broken foot and a concussion
- 25:56Speaker 4: for like weeks, and it was a huge thing in
- 25:58Speaker 4: her sorority. She couldn't do like the recruitment because they
- 26:03Speaker 4: didn't want to see. They didn't want new girls to
- 26:05Speaker 4: see like a girl with a broken foot and wonder
- 26:07Speaker 4: what happened?
- 26:09Speaker 8: Okay, So my scandalous story was something that remained a
- 26:16Speaker 8: mystery for all four years that I went to my
- 26:21Speaker 8: school and was in my sorority, And it was something
- 26:26Speaker 8: that happened freshman year and we found out about its
- 26:32Speaker 8: senior year. Everyone would have mixers or date dashes with
- 26:38Speaker 8: the fraternities, the sororities and fraternities would and we had one.
- 26:43Speaker 8: And I have to add that when I was initiated
- 26:48Speaker 8: into my sorority, they finally told us that our sorority
- 26:52Speaker 8: was immediately on probation for something that the girls the
- 26:56Speaker 8: previous year had done, and so the newly niche shaded
- 27:00Speaker 8: p and ms were suffering the consequences of the older girls.
- 27:06Speaker 8: So essentially we were on probation for the first semester,
- 27:09Speaker 8: could not have one singular party. Second semester, we had
- 27:15Speaker 8: our first mixer with one of our favorite fraternities. This
- 27:21Speaker 8: was a night that no one could remember. Everyone was
- 27:24Speaker 8: beyond hammered, you know, saying stuff that they shouldn't have
- 27:28Speaker 8: been saying to people that weren't even their friends. Everyone
- 27:31Speaker 8: was just ridiculously drunkuspelling secrets, helping up with boys, etc.
- 27:38Speaker 8: The next morning, we wake up from a message from
- 27:42Speaker 8: the president of the fraternity within our group chat, because
- 27:48Speaker 8: our group mees were the way that parties and communication
- 27:54Speaker 8: happened between fraternities and sororities. We woke up to a
- 27:57Speaker 8: message from the president with a picture of of their logo,
- 28:02Speaker 8: their letters in their chapter room and there was spray
- 28:07Speaker 8: paint covering like writing awful things on the wall. And
- 28:14Speaker 8: immediately our president held an emergency meeting. It was like,
- 28:18Speaker 8: what the actual fuck who did this on our first mixer?
- 28:23Speaker 8: You have ruined like their fraternity chapter room.
- 28:28Speaker 6: La la lah.
- 28:28Speaker 8: This is so offensive because you also drew our letters
- 28:33Speaker 8: on their letters, so it's a flat out like, wasn't
- 28:37Speaker 8: just anyone random? They know it was us. They're never
- 28:40Speaker 8: going to want to mix with us ever again. There
- 28:44Speaker 8: is so many threats throughout the rest of the semester.
- 28:49Speaker 8: In our group chat during every chapter about who the
- 28:53Speaker 8: fuck spray painted on this fraternity's letters. It was kind
- 28:59Speaker 8: of like a story that was never really forgotten. Then
- 29:03Speaker 8: flash forward to senior year. We are at a sorority retreat,
- 29:08Speaker 8: which has always been so much fun. It's the most
- 29:12Speaker 8: fun for the seniors because the seniors get extremely hammered.
- 29:16Speaker 8: We go to a reservoir and drink and do games
- 29:21Speaker 8: and bond. The seniors also tell stories, and the stories
- 29:24Speaker 8: everyone tells are very good and they're from the past
- 29:28Speaker 8: and they make everyone laugh. It's mainly more fun for
- 29:31Speaker 8: the seniors, especially because everyone's drunk. All of a sudden,
- 29:36Speaker 8: this adorable girl stands up to tell a story. And
- 29:42Speaker 8: this adorable girl is one of my really, really close friends.
- 29:46Speaker 8: She was insanely brilliant. She was on standards, just a
- 29:51Speaker 8: perfect human. Everyone adored her, loved her. All she says
- 29:55Speaker 8: is I am the one that spray painted the The
- 30:00Speaker 8: fraternity's letters, and everyone screamed because everyone knew who this
- 30:06Speaker 8: girl was in the sorority, and it was a story
- 30:08Speaker 8: that was passed down throughout our sorority, and the fact
- 30:12Speaker 8: that it was her, it was like the most hilarious, obnoxious,
- 30:18Speaker 8: no one could have guessed person to ever do something
- 30:21Speaker 8: like that. So that was a scandal because she kept
- 30:25Speaker 8: that fucking secret and she kept it. Well, that's my
- 30:27Speaker 8: scandalous story.
- 30:29Speaker 1: There you have it. You just heard some of the
- 30:31Speaker 1: most scandalous stories from sororities across the country. We want
- 30:35Speaker 1: to thank the voices who shared what they witnessed first
- 30:37Speaker 1: had and for exposing the side of sorority life were
- 30:40Speaker 1: not supposed to know about.
