- 0:00Speaker 1: I mean, I know here it is seven to twenty
- 0:01Speaker 1: three and a lot of people listen on Thursday, specifically
- 0:04Speaker 1: to hear the result of my golf league.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Yeah, and I first of all need to apologize it
- 0:10Speaker 2: is this early, and I forgot to ask. Usually that's
- 0:13Speaker 2: the first thing I ask you on Thursdays.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, And you're always curious like a cat.
- 0:16Speaker 1: And it's funny because the guy I played last night,
- 0:19Speaker 1: Steve Saxeln's his name and national champion at NDSU. By
- 0:23Speaker 1: the way, rest, did you get his autograph? No, I'll
- 0:26Speaker 1: tell you what I did do though. This took them
- 0:29Speaker 1: to down on the on the course. Big win, big
- 0:32Speaker 1: win last night. And it's funny because.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Steve, because usually you only bring it up when you win.
- 0:36Speaker 2: That's that's usually it's me bringing it up when you
- 0:39Speaker 2: don't win.
- 0:39Speaker 3: I get how that.
- 0:40Speaker 1: That's what he said, Steve, before we played, he said,
- 0:43Speaker 1: I was talking to like, I think his neighbor or something,
- 0:46Speaker 1: and they were asking who was in this golf league
- 0:47Speaker 1: and he's like, oh, Pike is in and he's in
- 0:49Speaker 1: the league, and ste this neighbor.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Goes, oh yeah, he talks about that all the time.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Then they ask does he win every week because he
- 0:57Speaker 1: always says he wins.
- 0:59Speaker 3: And I'm like, I do not.
- 1:00Speaker 2: So weren't you just harassing me about winning meat raffles?
- 1:03Speaker 2: This is just as bad. What don't draw that comparison?
- 1:06Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 1:07Speaker 3: Pretty close?
- 1:07Speaker 2: The talent involved in a meat raffle and your golf
- 1:10Speaker 2: game pretty.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Much the same. Boy.
- 1:13Speaker 1: If anybody smelled like a burning smell last night, by
- 1:16Speaker 1: the way, it wasn't a wildfire.
- 1:18Speaker 3: That was my driver.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Oh, absolutely on fire.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Yeah, So anyway, big win.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Thanks for asking everybody I know maybe we're technically asked
- 1:28Speaker 1: Bud winding down?
- 1:30Speaker 3: Where does this leave you in the league.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I got one match up left before before playoffs and
- 1:35Speaker 1: I'm on the cusp of the Gold division and silver which, yeah,
- 1:39Speaker 1: it's gonna be close. I'm gonna I'm gonna need some
- 1:41Speaker 1: help from some other people.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Well hopefully that thank you clubs keeps smoking. Yeah.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Think about the driver though, is there's like other clubs
- 1:48Speaker 1: you also have to hit. I'm I'm gonna need them
- 1:51Speaker 1: to pick up the pace.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Ready, that's today and now, Amanda Stills the.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Seat looks see brought to you by JDP Electric.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Well, we knew Katy.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Perry was out on American Idol, and I honestly wasn't
- 2:08Speaker 2: sure who.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Was going to be able to take this on.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I feel like it's I think any dead in the
- 2:12Speaker 1: water doing no.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I mean it just American Idol still being on. It
- 2:16Speaker 2: is amazing to me. It really truly is Lionel Richie,
- 2:19Speaker 2: Luke Bryan. They're still on the judges panel, and we
- 2:21Speaker 2: found out yesterday she is so close as signing the
- 2:25Speaker 2: dotted line. I think we can confirm almost that Carrie
- 2:27Speaker 2: Underwood going back to her roots. I mean that's how
- 2:30Speaker 2: we found out about her. I think that's a great
- 2:33Speaker 2: fit for her.
- 2:34Speaker 3: I think so she looks like a judge.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I don't know much about a personality, but I think
- 2:38Speaker 1: she'll fit the appearance anyway.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Yeah, liability factor is going to be there for me,
- 2:42Speaker 3: so might give.
- 2:43Speaker 1: It a peek.
- 2:44Speaker 3: We'll see. Yeah.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Wait, and where would I find American Idol? William Fox?
- 2:48Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? It bumped out of a network?
- 2:51Speaker 1: Did at one point one thing I always.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Thought was really odd because and this made me think
- 2:56Speaker 2: of it again. Kelly Clarkson, Yeah, going over to the voice,
- 3:00Speaker 2: I mean out after winning American Idol, I.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Didn't think about that early. Is she don't know them anything?
- 3:05Speaker 1: I mean, you really ultimately don't care? Am I crazy?
- 3:11Speaker 1: Idol went to some streaming or something, right, No, you're
- 3:13Speaker 1: thinking of Dancing with the Stars.
- 3:14Speaker 3: I know that was one of your other favorites, not
- 3:16Speaker 3: what I'm thinking of. Tell me what, that's the only
- 3:19Speaker 3: one I think that went over to a stream.
- 3:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna look it up. I know you got this
- 3:22Speaker 1: little Britney Spears thing, so.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Go for that.
- 3:24Speaker 2: I know you're not a fan of what I have
- 3:26Speaker 2: to say when it comes to Britney Spears. But she
- 3:28Speaker 2: said a couple of weeks ago she is done with men.
- 3:31Speaker 2: She's over it. She's done. And the whole reason is
- 3:33Speaker 2: because she had such a bad situation with this guy,
- 3:36Speaker 2: the housekeeper, the fella, and his name is Paul, like Soliz.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Guess what, Pike.
- 3:41Speaker 2: They were spotted not only just those two at a
- 3:44Speaker 2: restaurant in Malibu.
- 3:46Speaker 3: He was with his family.
- 3:48Speaker 2: So they're close enough in this relationship that they all
- 3:51Speaker 2: went to a restaurant. By the way, Brittany, she was
- 3:53Speaker 2: trying to keep it on the down low. Probably don't
- 3:56Speaker 2: go to the SOHO house in Malibu. People are going
- 3:59Speaker 2: to be their paparazzi and such. But she was wearing
- 4:01Speaker 2: like this big fun hat, huge glasses, and like this
- 4:04Speaker 2: bright purple shirt.
- 4:05Speaker 3: That you're going really peacocky.
- 4:07Speaker 2: You're kinda like you're actually more noticeable with what you
- 4:13Speaker 2: have going on here than you thought.
- 4:14Speaker 3: It was a disguise.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Well, it kind of looks like Britney Spears, but there's
- 4:17Speaker 1: no way I've never seen her wear a big hat
- 4:20Speaker 1: like that way.
- 4:20Speaker 3: That's her.
- 4:21Speaker 1: I have an answer for, by the way, on American Idol,
- 4:23Speaker 1: I think what I was thinking of. It took remember
- 4:25Speaker 1: back in twenty seventeen, it took a hiatus, so it
- 4:28Speaker 1: was nothing for two years, and then it came back
- 4:30Speaker 1: and now it began airing on ABC. No, Yeah, American
- 4:35Speaker 1: Idol was not on ABC. American Igle Igle according to
- 4:40Speaker 1: or Yeah for fifteen seasons. It ran on Fox two
- 4:44Speaker 1: thousand and two to twenty sixteen, took a two year hiatus,
- 4:47Speaker 1: and a revival of the series began airing on ABC
- 4:50Speaker 1: in twenty eighteen.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Boom, wow, Can I can you take us second to
- 4:56Speaker 2: apologize to you please?
- 4:58Speaker 3: Because I came in with that information, right.
- 5:02Speaker 1: And I'm not going to say I was exactly correct,
- 5:04Speaker 1: but I was mostly gread.
- 5:05Speaker 3: I teach my kids this.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I'm going to I'm going to take a step back,
- 5:08Speaker 2: and I'm gonna admit when I'm wrong.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 5:11Speaker 2: I am apologized for not knowing what network that is.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Let's just be better going forward, because you know, you
- 5:15Speaker 1: ruin the conversation potentially the entire show man.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Yeah, this week, can both get on board with Pete Davidson.
- 5:22Speaker 2: He just checked into a wellness facility for his mental health.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I for one, I'm not like a fan either way
- 5:28Speaker 2: of Pete Davidson. I always think it's a goofy that
- 5:30Speaker 2: people think he's super hot, But ultimately I am here
- 5:33Speaker 2: for him being so open about his mental health. Back
- 5:35Speaker 2: in twenty eighteen, he did say that he's been in
- 5:38Speaker 2: and out of mental facilities, mental health facilities since he was.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Nine years old.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Yeah, and he goes kind of for a tune up
- 5:45Speaker 2: whenever he needs it, and then he gets back out
- 5:48Speaker 2: and does what he does and sometimes he he needs.
- 5:51Speaker 1: It, ye, which is great, perfect example of just taking
- 5:53Speaker 1: care of yourself, being aware, knowing that it's okay to
- 5:56Speaker 1: not be okay all that you know.
- 5:58Speaker 2: For him, I really like that. I feel like he
- 6:00Speaker 2: uses his platform for that as well. It's a platform,
- 6:04Speaker 2: his platform. Okay, I'm misheard you like get.
- 6:07Speaker 4: A minute in the morning, big naety eight point seven.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Have you ever been driving down like the Inner State,
- 6:12Speaker 1: Let's say you're moving and had something like fly out
- 6:14Speaker 1: of the back of your vehicle.
- 6:15Speaker 2: See I haven't, but what drives me crazy and it
- 6:19Speaker 2: gives me so much anxiety. I had just pulled on
- 6:23Speaker 2: to and it was it was just a two lane
- 6:25Speaker 2: road the other day and there was a truck that
- 6:27Speaker 2: had had a bunch of stuff in it and it ain't nothing,
- 6:30Speaker 2: look like it's tied down, and I'm going keeping my distance.
- 6:34Speaker 2: But then I'm like, okay, should I actually get a
- 6:35Speaker 2: little closer because if something flies out, will it hit
- 6:37Speaker 2: me or will it go over?
- 6:39Speaker 1: I mean that's how I felt, right, especially like mattresses.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I've had a mattress fall out of the bat the
- 6:43Speaker 1: bed of a truck moving one time going down I
- 6:46Speaker 1: ninety four, and it's just you just want to die.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I mean, rather than pulling over. I don't know what
- 6:52Speaker 3: you know what I mean, it's.
- 6:54Speaker 2: The whole I get. Remember, I was stranded in about
- 6:56Speaker 2: a month ago on this side of the road. I mean,
- 6:58Speaker 2: it's just trying to even get to the side of
- 7:01Speaker 2: the road, let alone somehow stop enough traffic to where
- 7:04Speaker 2: you would ever pick up a mattress, and then.
- 7:06Speaker 1: You need somebody to help you right on ninety four. No,
- 7:10Speaker 1: there's no way, you don't have I'm not gonna risk that.
- 7:12Speaker 1: But then also people driving like a mattress. It's not
- 7:15Speaker 1: like when you see something on the road and you
- 7:16Speaker 1: dodge it or you swerve around it and it turns
- 7:19Speaker 1: out it was a T shirt, you're like, oh, probably
- 7:20Speaker 1: couldn't bummer run that over, But a mattress, that's like dangerous,
- 7:24Speaker 1: not as dangerous as this. So did you see the
- 7:26Speaker 1: story that a military tank being pulled on a flatbed
- 7:31Speaker 1: trailer fell off of the trailer onto the Interstates?
- 7:35Speaker 2: Oh gosh, yeah, an entire tank And ain't nobody driving
- 7:38Speaker 2: that the tank. But that's just gonna be sitting there.
- 7:42Speaker 2: I don't know if it was a manned tank or not.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Uh No, it sat there for several hours. It was
- 7:47Speaker 2: until later that night that it was able to get
- 7:49Speaker 2: out of the way. But at least that's like, that's
- 7:52Speaker 2: so big that you see it coming, so like a
- 7:54Speaker 2: mattress that sneaks up on you that or if you
- 7:57Speaker 2: see if somebody had a lost their tire or a
- 8:00Speaker 2: pop tire and then they have the rim that's still
- 8:03Speaker 2: laying out there, and if you try to swerve around it,
- 8:06Speaker 2: have you ever ran over anything? And you just get
- 8:08Speaker 2: so upset because you're thinking, stressed, now my tires.
- 8:10Speaker 3: There goes this. It's totally toast.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I know it's and I hate you know, we've done
- 8:15Speaker 1: so much moving and you pack up the bed of
- 8:17Speaker 1: the truck and like sitting there in the driveway, you
- 8:20Speaker 1: feel pretty good. You got a couple ratchet straps. You
- 8:22Speaker 1: feel like this boy is locked down. But then as
- 8:24Speaker 1: soon as you start going full speed on the highway,
- 8:26Speaker 1: you're like, I don't know, I'm a little nursed about it.
- 8:29Speaker 2: My husband has one of those covers that rolls over
- 8:32Speaker 2: on it, and it's kind of one of those unspoken
- 8:35Speaker 2: rules with him. If you can't get it under there
- 8:38Speaker 2: and lock it in, we're not bringing it. Oh, just
- 8:40Speaker 2: because it's just it's not worth it. It's not worth
- 8:43Speaker 2: the risk. I don't know what else you do. You
- 8:44Speaker 2: gotta get a trailer or something. But stressful, that's when you.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Just got to We're just gonna take two cars or
- 8:50Speaker 1: two loads or whatever it may be.
- 8:51Speaker 3: That's why I drive a niee on ultimon Everything's safe in.
- 8:54Speaker 4: There with me, ta get a minute in the morning. Seven.
- 8:58Speaker 1: When I say likable celebrity, who comes to mind first?
- 9:01Speaker 3: One come? I think Ryan Reynolds bingo, bingo?
- 9:04Speaker 1: Yes, very guy, funny, charming, good looking guys got it all.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Yea, And honestly what I love the most. Yes, he
- 9:13Speaker 2: was funny. I liked him in some movies. But ultimately
- 9:16Speaker 2: when him and Blake Lively got together and just their
- 9:19Speaker 2: banter on social media, it's kind of those relationship goals.
- 9:23Speaker 2: They just seem to have such a good relationship. They've
- 9:27Speaker 2: really kept kind of their private life private to some degree,
- 9:29Speaker 2: but they're just having fun all the time.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Absolutely. Well, they've got four kids now, you know, they
- 9:34Speaker 1: just had the fourth one. And so he was talking
- 9:36Speaker 1: and in this interview, and if you didn't like him
- 9:38Speaker 1: enough already, listen to him talking about their sleeping situation
- 9:42Speaker 1: with the four kids.
- 9:43Speaker 5: Our kids can't even go to sleep unless they're like
- 9:45Speaker 5: in our bed. Really, so I you know, as much
- 9:48Speaker 5: as I want to say, I would love to spread
- 9:50Speaker 5: out and fall asleep normally.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:51Speaker 5: Can I just think about like what you would give
- 9:55Speaker 5: in forty years or thirty years impact on sleep?
- 10:00Speaker 2: My gosh, and that hits so close to home. I
- 10:02Speaker 2: woke up this morning. I was actually just telling you.
- 10:05Speaker 2: My husband sent me a text these kids at five
- 10:07Speaker 2: o'clock this morning because they were both in our bed.
- 10:10Speaker 3: They both woke up. Did they come in? Do you
- 10:12Speaker 3: have last week? Yes?
- 10:13Speaker 2: So we all and I don't care. Everybody has their
- 10:16Speaker 2: own sleeping situations. But our kids every night, the four
- 10:20Speaker 2: of us curl up into bed together in our room.
- 10:22Speaker 2: That's where we do night time prayers. They fall asleep
- 10:25Speaker 2: with us every single night. Oh so they don't even
- 10:27Speaker 2: start in their own bed, start in their own bed. No,
- 10:29Speaker 2: that bed is just for show, that's for uh move
- 10:32Speaker 2: them there. Yeah, yeah, and then Briggs usually makes it
- 10:35Speaker 2: through the night, give or take here and there. Sydney
- 10:39Speaker 2: usually between anywhere like eleven thirty and three. I think
- 10:43Speaker 2: she's maybe and she'll be she's five. Maybe made it
- 10:46Speaker 2: a full night two or three times? Really, yes, so
- 10:48Speaker 2: she just she'll wake up and just runs in. So
- 10:51Speaker 2: we're all like right next to each other our bedrooms
- 10:53Speaker 2: and stuff. But we have a big enough bed. It
- 10:55Speaker 2: doesn't honestly phase me anymore. And that's kind of where
- 10:58Speaker 2: I've gotten to a point of it is gonna go
- 11:02Speaker 2: by so fast.
- 11:03Speaker 3: I mean, she's starting kindergarten here in a little bit.
- 11:05Speaker 2: And I in my mind, I feel like it's gonna
- 11:08Speaker 2: take like one sleepover or something where she knows something different.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Yeah, where it's just gonna be a nope. Is the
- 11:14Speaker 1: problem she gets scared? Yes, yeah, I mean what are
- 11:18Speaker 1: they because yeah, like Ryan said, Ryan, my guy, Ryan Reynolds,
- 11:22Speaker 1: you might know him. I'm sure, yeah, you're gonna miss
- 11:26Speaker 1: it down the road, of course. But like the other
- 11:28Speaker 1: question would be, like, what do they say the effects
- 11:30Speaker 1: of that are? Is there the naysayers saying that, oh,
- 11:33Speaker 1: if you let your kids sleep with you up until
- 11:35Speaker 1: this age, they're gonna be nuts.
- 11:37Speaker 2: I don't know. Honestly, I've never really paid attention to
- 11:40Speaker 2: any of that.
- 11:41Speaker 3: I will tell you this, the effects of your behavior
- 11:43Speaker 3: of your children. My mom was a.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Single parent for quite a few years when I was younger,
- 11:49Speaker 2: and I slept with my mom until her and Lance
- 11:53Speaker 2: Pants were together, and so that would have been really
- 11:56Speaker 2: my gosh. We moved in fourth grade, so I was
- 11:59Speaker 2: sleeping with, I would go in there. I'd sleep in
- 12:02Speaker 2: my bed for some of it, but I would sleep
- 12:03Speaker 2: with my mom for a majority of the time until
- 12:05Speaker 2: at least four.
- 12:06Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 12:06Speaker 1: I just imagine I have a hard enough time with
- 12:09Speaker 1: just my wife. It's just for now, it's just the
- 12:10Speaker 1: two of us in the bed, you know, and her
- 12:13Speaker 1: moving at all, like just jars me awake or I
- 12:16Speaker 1: have this anxiety of if I'm moving and we're awake.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I just can't imagine two other kids. And you got
- 12:21Speaker 1: a dog in there too, don't you.
- 12:22Speaker 2: No, she goes to the kennel, but sometimes she'll start
- 12:24Speaker 2: with us. But yeah, she goes to the kennel. Now,
- 12:26Speaker 2: are you kidding me? No?
- 12:27Speaker 1: But four kids, So we have a we have a King,
- 12:30Speaker 1: Ryan Reynolds and four kids. He's gotta have some celebrity
- 12:34Speaker 1: sized bed like California King times two. I just put
- 12:38Speaker 1: two next four of them a bedroom literally like a bed. Yeah,
- 12:42Speaker 1: that is a room. You open the door and you
- 12:43Speaker 1: gotta kind of jump up to get out.
- 12:45Speaker 4: Amanda in the morning on SIG seven trending. Now here's
- 12:51Speaker 4: what you need to know.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Katie Ladecki is now an eight time Olympic gold medalist
- 12:57Speaker 2: after taking home the fifteen hundred meter yesterday. Watching that
- 13:01Speaker 2: race alone, I've never felt more exhausted in my life.
- 13:04Speaker 1: That's a lot of you know, I could run fifteen
- 13:06Speaker 1: hundred meters swimming though, get out of here. I know.
- 13:10Speaker 2: She also sent an Olympic record fifteen thirty point zero two.
- 13:14Speaker 3: It dominated the win.
- 13:15Speaker 2: I mean, people weren't even at like the next a
- 13:17Speaker 2: lap basically when she had finished.
- 13:19Speaker 3: It was incredible.
- 13:20Speaker 2: It was also her twelfth medal overall, tying two others
- 13:23Speaker 2: in the most Olympic history for women's swimming. Ladecki will
- 13:26Speaker 2: go for gold once again in the eight hundred meter
- 13:28Speaker 2: freestyle with the prelimbs on Friday. The final will going
- 13:31Speaker 2: to be on Saturday afternoon. With a win, she'll become
- 13:34Speaker 2: the first woman with nine gold medals in swimming, which
- 13:37Speaker 2: is just incredible.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Good for her.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Now, not to compare because they're different, but how many
- 13:42Speaker 1: did Michael Phelips have in this I know he had
- 13:43Speaker 1: like eight in the one year he.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Had twenty eight gold medals. Wow, yeah, so a long
- 13:48Speaker 2: way to catch up. I don't know if this is
- 13:51Speaker 2: her last or you know, you just never really know.
- 13:54Speaker 3: With some of these athletes, I mean, not going to catch.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Twenty eight, but just in her own right, probably the
- 13:58Speaker 1: best ever that you know, you would.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Say, absolutely, especially watching that performance yesterday, I mean just
- 14:04Speaker 2: a stud.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Yes, just so much pride for the country watching that
- 14:07Speaker 3: kind of stuff. It's it's good. It's a good time.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Yere. Yeah.
- 14:10Speaker 2: There are some people, though, not a fan of this,
- 14:13Speaker 2: and I'm starting to kind of lean over to that.
- 14:15Speaker 2: At first I thought it was kind of funny, but
- 14:17Speaker 2: the drama continues with the USA gymnastics team. Simone Biles
- 14:21Speaker 2: now is telling everybody that she was blocked by Mikayla
- 14:23Speaker 2: Skinner after trolling her over the team's gold medal win.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Sunny Lee then chimed in and commented on the post, saying,
- 14:30Speaker 2: put a finger down if Simone just ended you.
- 14:32Speaker 3: She then oh my gosh. She then deleted that.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Now there are some people going, you know, Mikayla deleted
- 14:38Speaker 2: her post about basically calling out the work ethic for
- 14:43Speaker 2: everybody but Simone on the gymnastics team, saying they just
- 14:45Speaker 2: didn't have it. So this was all the way back
- 14:47Speaker 2: July sixth, she took down the YouTube video that had surfaced.
- 14:51Speaker 2: She then issued an apology to US gymnastics scene.
- 14:55Speaker 3: I'm rooting for you. I love you girls.
- 14:57Speaker 2: I apologize this was a little bit out of context,
- 14:59Speaker 2: but then also like taking responsibility for it. But I
- 15:02Speaker 2: guess she's just basically blocked to everybody now.
- 15:05Speaker 3: But that's it's so annoying.
- 15:07Speaker 1: It's like, you're this is a lady who's just giving
- 15:09Speaker 1: commentary on the sport that she loves and is an
- 15:11Speaker 1: expert at. Really it's just you're gonna say negative things.
- 15:14Speaker 1: It's like in the NFL, like the media, that's her
- 15:17Speaker 1: job to give their opinion on things, not all positive.
- 15:21Speaker 2: I don't think Mikayla Skinner is in the media world
- 15:24Speaker 2: like I think she just was on a podcast talking
- 15:26Speaker 2: about gymnastics in general, so I mean that.
- 15:28Speaker 3: But that's my mean.
- 15:29Speaker 1: It's like, gotcha obviously on a platform that what they're
- 15:32Speaker 1: doing is discussing the sports and you're gonna give opinions
- 15:36Speaker 1: and for them to whatever, I get you need the
- 15:38Speaker 1: bulletin board material and a chip on your shoulder. And
- 15:41Speaker 1: obviously they took it to the millionth level, so whatever
- 15:44Speaker 1: you need to do. But it's just annoying.
- 15:46Speaker 3: It is starting to just feel a little childish in my.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Opinion, as Juny, we ended her and that and just
- 15:52Speaker 2: overall for me, you guys are role muddels. There are
- 15:55Speaker 2: so many young girls people watching this, especially on social media.
- 16:00Speaker 2: They're not usually just going to be watching it on TV.
- 16:02Speaker 2: They're watching the highlights. You just you know, getting after
- 16:05Speaker 2: each other. You're just engaging with this, showing people like
- 16:08Speaker 2: this is how childish I am.
- 16:09Speaker 3: You're twenty seven years old. Further ultimate the.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Drama, right, you could have just ended it there and
- 16:14Speaker 1: maybe even the initial comment from Simon just end it there.
- 16:16Speaker 3: But now to perpetuate it, it's just a little over
- 16:20Speaker 3: the top. It's the opposite of women supporting women, as
- 16:23Speaker 3: I agree today.
- 16:24Speaker 2: By the way, the women's all around for gymnastics will happen, Simoon,
- 16:27Speaker 2: Sonny there will be doing their thing, probably getting some
- 16:30Speaker 2: more gold for us. Now, this is exciting. Officials for
- 16:34Speaker 2: the Fargodome are headed to the City Hall on Monday,
- 16:36Speaker 2: once again looking for the Fargo City Commission to give
- 16:38Speaker 2: them the green light to fund improvements for the Fargodome
- 16:41Speaker 2: with a new local sales tax. Now a similar idea,
- 16:43Speaker 2: of course, was shot down by Fargo voters last December
- 16:46Speaker 2: At that time, they proposed not only the one hundred
- 16:48Speaker 2: and forty million dollar expansion in renovation to the Fargodome
- 16:51Speaker 2: that would be funded through that new quarter sales tax,
- 16:53Speaker 2: they also wanted construction for an attached convention center. Now,
- 16:58Speaker 2: Fargodome officials are proposed that the Fargo City Commission implement
- 17:02Speaker 2: a twenty year quarter sent sales tax solely to.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Fund the Fargo Dome improvements.
- 17:08Speaker 2: The convention center is not a part of this new plan,
- 17:10Speaker 2: so they've kind of regrouped on it. And you know,
- 17:13Speaker 2: if you go to other facilities, I mean we were
- 17:15Speaker 2: sitting in some of these meetings and talking just going
- 17:17Speaker 2: to Shields Arena in comparison to the Fargo Dome as
- 17:20Speaker 2: far as upgrades and stuff go, you forget, you know,
- 17:23Speaker 2: how long it's been around in and needs something.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:25Speaker 1: And I don't know that anybody's denying that it doesn't
- 17:27Speaker 1: need the improvement. It's just you know, people going to
- 17:30Speaker 1: pay for things, yeah, which you know, and I understand
- 17:33Speaker 1: that too. Now this new plan they've got, that's the
- 17:35Speaker 1: water slide plan.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Yeah, so what happens is there's a water slide and
- 17:41Speaker 2: if whenever you go to a bising game. Yeah, and
- 17:43Speaker 2: they get a touchdown, they like, somebody shoots out through
- 17:47Speaker 2: the water slide.
- 17:48Speaker 3: You uh, you started down that road. You didn't know
- 17:50Speaker 3: where you were going. I didn't know where I was going.
- 17:52Speaker 1: And then in my mind I was thinking of like
- 17:54Speaker 1: Llen Game of Games like where they have like people
- 17:57Speaker 1: drop and do stuff.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I like it.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I'm imagining somebody is shooting out of a water slide
- 18:01Speaker 1: after every touchdown. Everything that we've said for the last
- 18:04Speaker 1: one minute, absolutely not trying.
- 18:06Speaker 3: It happening all right.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Today it is a first day out at we Fest,
- 18:10Speaker 2: kind of day two for some people. The weather last night,
- 18:13Speaker 2: did you see it just roll through? There were some
- 18:15Speaker 2: people who had tents and stuff like all over we Fest.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Hopefully they got that cleaned up, but pontoons flipped over again.
- 18:21Speaker 2: I'm like, ah, not what you want. So hopefully you
- 18:23Speaker 2: didn't get much damage. The next three days out at
- 18:26Speaker 2: we Fest gonna be hot, sunny and eighty eight Thursday,
- 18:30Speaker 2: Friday and Saturday turned.
- 18:31Speaker 4: Out two like it A minute in the morning on
- 18:35Speaker 4: Big Nutty eight point seven.
- 18:36Speaker 3: A man, you got kids? How many kids you got?
- 18:39Speaker 3: What do we have to do? Two? Is it?
- 18:40Speaker 1: Two?
- 18:41Speaker 3: It is?
- 18:41Speaker 2: And that's that's where it ends. Unless you want to
- 18:43Speaker 2: call the dog a kid, then I've got.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Three, but i'd prefer not to. I figured call it
- 18:48Speaker 3: a dog.
- 18:48Speaker 1: So I'm doing the math here then, because they just
- 18:50Speaker 1: surveyed like two thousand parents, okay, of their kids six
- 18:53Speaker 1: and under, which both the years fall into that category.
- 18:56Speaker 1: They do so, on average, a child six years and
- 18:59Speaker 1: younger play for ten hours a day, ten whole hours
- 19:02Speaker 1: of play. Three yeah, three by themselves, three with friends,
- 19:07Speaker 1: and three with their parents roughly totally, So between the
- 19:10Speaker 1: two times.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Feels a lot different. Of course, at when they're at
- 19:14Speaker 2: childcare in this summer. I mean, we show up and
- 19:17Speaker 2: I don't know how they do it. God bless everybody
- 19:19Speaker 2: who is taking care of other people's kids.
- 19:21Speaker 3: I mean, honestly, if you're a daycare worker or anything.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Like that, any of it, even like nanny's babies, there's
- 19:28Speaker 2: all that. I mean, it's it's a lot, especially if
- 19:30Speaker 2: it's not your kid, because I just know mine are
- 19:33Speaker 2: always on the go, like they always want to do something.
- 19:35Speaker 2: It is wild to me when we have, you know,
- 19:38Speaker 2: vacation days, it's they're up at six point thirty, ripping
- 19:41Speaker 2: ready to go. Yeah, and it is NonStop until Briggs,
- 19:44Speaker 2: as you've probably seen if you follow me on social media.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Literally just he'll fall asleep anywhere like he can go.
- 19:50Speaker 2: He's down for the count.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Sid.
- 19:52Speaker 2: If you tell her like, Okay, we're gonna we're gonna
- 19:55Speaker 2: do something later, so you need to take a nap,
- 19:57Speaker 2: she'll maybe go down for a little bit, but she
- 19:59Speaker 2: still thinks she's too cool to rest.
- 20:01Speaker 3: But she needs it, Isn't that why go in your yard? Yeah?
- 20:05Speaker 1: I My nephews are the same way they're and it's
- 20:07Speaker 1: only getting No. I don't want to say worse, because
- 20:09Speaker 1: you know, it's great that they're active, but yeah, if
- 20:11Speaker 1: you're looking to relax when you're around them, it's not happening.
- 20:15Speaker 2: So did you say there was three hours that they
- 20:17Speaker 2: do they get to do this on their own.
- 20:20Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just a survey of like how.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I just I would like to know if
- 20:24Speaker 2: anybody has any tips. That's not like just throwing a
- 20:27Speaker 2: screen in front of them for well three.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Hours on their own. I know Sid'll do like art.
- 20:31Speaker 2: She's probably the best at taking that time, but Briggs
- 20:34Speaker 2: doesn't really have it.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Does a babysitter do art with the kids?
- 20:37Speaker 2: Oh, they So they actually have this really cool thing
- 20:39Speaker 2: that sits into on YouTube. It's called like the art Hub,
- 20:43Speaker 2: and so they have these people that are making these
- 20:46Speaker 2: drawings and then they follow along to make them.
- 20:48Speaker 3: The stuff she's creating is insane os so cool.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Now, speaking of screens, Amanda, same survey, of course, had
- 20:54Speaker 1: asked the question, well, how much time are they spending
- 20:56Speaker 1: in front of a screen? And on average, children six
- 20:59Speaker 1: and are spend spend two hours a day in front
- 21:02Speaker 1: of a screen, which to me, honestly, it feels low.
- 21:04Speaker 3: That feel low.
- 21:05Speaker 2: No, I guess it depends on how your you know,
- 21:07Speaker 2: your racing my kids, but I know, like they might
- 21:09Speaker 2: watch maybe a little movie at school. I'm guessing that's
- 21:12Speaker 2: probably thirty minutes maybe to an hour at our house,
- 21:15Speaker 2: especially in the summer. In the winter, that's gonna go
- 21:17Speaker 2: up a little bit because the TV's on a little bit.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Like if you're at a restaurant or you're somewhere where
- 21:22Speaker 1: you just want them to be distracted, you just give
- 21:24Speaker 1: them your phone. Yes, yeah, I mean that's a hard
- 21:26Speaker 1: thing to combat. Like, I know it's easy to say
- 21:28Speaker 1: that you shouldn't do.
- 21:29Speaker 2: That, but no, but we'll do when you get there,
- 21:32Speaker 2: you know, it's okay. It takes about five minutes to
- 21:34Speaker 2: figure out what you're gonna eat. It goes in stages.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Then they'll use that coloring sheet. Sid'll use it a
- 21:40Speaker 2: little bit longer than Briggs before he you know, breaks
- 21:42Speaker 2: one and is upset and I'm more at because Sid
- 21:45Speaker 2: is a little bit older to have conversation and she's
- 21:47Speaker 2: good about that. Yeah, but I'll give Briggs the phone
- 21:50Speaker 2: kind of right away. Like here's some YouTube kids, you
- 21:51Speaker 2: can watch that, and then when the food comes, it's
- 21:53Speaker 2: put it down right. But then they you know, what
- 21:56Speaker 2: they have in all these restaurants that we go to,
- 21:57Speaker 2: which is really great.
- 21:59Speaker 3: The Lake area has a lot of them. Now the
- 22:01Speaker 3: quarter machines. Have you seen these?
- 22:03Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I mean, are you talking about household things
- 22:06Speaker 1: like arcade games?
- 22:08Speaker 4: No?
- 22:08Speaker 2: No, no, So this is a game that they've put
- 22:10Speaker 2: out where you put the quarter in and you have
- 22:12Speaker 2: to like determine where it's gonna go, and it has
- 22:15Speaker 2: a bunch of them that pushed the quarters.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Oh of course I've seen that. Yeah, So that's.
- 22:18Speaker 2: More of a gambling problem for me, Like once you
- 22:21Speaker 2: start and then it pushes the quarters off, so as
- 22:23Speaker 2: a parent. You the more quarters you have in your purse,
- 22:26Speaker 2: the better.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't envy that me the childless heathen here. No, No,
- 22:31Speaker 1: I mean it sounds exhausting. It sounds really really and
- 22:34Speaker 1: I'm sure it's great when you're yours. You know, you
- 22:36Speaker 1: know it. It's not that bad. It's really sold.
- 22:41Speaker 3: It's not that bad.
- 22:43Speaker 4: Like a Manda in the morning, Come on, get up
- 22:46Speaker 4: on dig.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Seven, Amanda.
- 22:49Speaker 1: I want to get your thoughts and everybody listening on
- 22:51Speaker 1: this woman who's gone viral on TikTok because of what
- 22:54Speaker 1: she says she will not do for her husband.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Oh, she's taken a hard stand on what she will
- 23:01Speaker 3: and will not do.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Trying to think what would even fall into that category,
- 23:04Speaker 2: Like if there's anything I wouldn't do for him? Yeah,
- 23:06Speaker 2: like even because automatically and everybody listening and who's known
- 23:09Speaker 2: me for so many years' feet like so disgusting to me,
- 23:13Speaker 2: can't stand him. But I think I would even Like
- 23:15Speaker 2: if my husband needed me to do something with his foot,
- 23:18Speaker 2: I probably would.
- 23:19Speaker 3: I don't know what that would be, but okay, you know.
- 23:21Speaker 1: If he had a oh, I can't even I was
- 23:23Speaker 1: gonna say, like an ingrown tonail like repulsive, but I
- 23:25Speaker 1: would still probably do it for my husband. What if
- 23:27Speaker 1: he was being held hostage and the bad man said
- 23:29Speaker 1: I will only let him go if you suck on
- 23:31Speaker 1: every inch of his foot.
- 23:33Speaker 3: It was nice note yet no just getting nice.
- 23:35Speaker 1: And I will never forget you, honey. Now here's here's
- 23:37Speaker 1: it's actually not foot related. If you can believe that.
- 23:39Speaker 1: This woman on TikTok gone viral. So she basically said
- 23:42Speaker 1: she doesn't cook dinner every single night. She will not
- 23:46Speaker 1: do that. She said, I will not do his laundry.
- 23:49Speaker 1: He can do that himself. I do my laundry, and
- 23:52Speaker 1: we do the kid's laundry. He does his own. Now,
- 23:55Speaker 1: this woman, her name is Page Turner, made it clear
- 23:57Speaker 1: that she was his wife, not his mom. She thinks
- 24:00Speaker 1: that these sort of hey physical household acts basically just
- 24:04Speaker 1: equal domestic labor, not what some people are saying, are
- 24:07Speaker 1: just small acts of kindness that are things that you
- 24:10Speaker 1: should do for your partner.
- 24:11Speaker 3: See for me, let's go to the laundry.
- 24:13Speaker 2: First of all, it is going to be way harder
- 24:15Speaker 2: for me to like go and separate and figure it out.
- 24:17Speaker 3: We just throw it all in. I'm the weirdo.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Who throws all this stuff in unless I might have
- 24:21Speaker 2: a dress or two, or a couple of things, yeah
- 24:23Speaker 2: that I would separate, or his dress clothes that I
- 24:25Speaker 2: wouldn't put all in the laundry. But for the most part, yeah,
- 24:29Speaker 2: it's everything is getting washed in one load.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Well, I mean we're totally separate when it comes to that,
- 24:35Speaker 1: but are you really really It's just easier to manage
- 24:37Speaker 1: my own wardrobe and for her too, Like I am
- 24:40Speaker 1: on a different schedule of how often I need to
- 24:42Speaker 1: wash my underwear because you know, I have X amount
- 24:45Speaker 1: and I know that once I you know, I usually
- 24:47Speaker 1: get a couple days a crossover where I've got to
- 24:49Speaker 1: wear it twice.
- 24:50Speaker 3: But you know, other than.
- 24:50Speaker 2: That, and I'm a psycho and it's me mainly because
- 24:54Speaker 2: our laundry is right like by our in our buyer bedrooms,
- 24:59Speaker 2: so it's on the same level. So I do a
- 25:01Speaker 2: load of laundry every day like it's just done, Like
- 25:03Speaker 2: I never have it loaded up usually.
- 25:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:05Speaker 1: She also goes on to say that she does not
- 25:07Speaker 1: make doctor's appointments for her for her husband. She will
- 25:11Speaker 1: not do that.
- 25:12Speaker 3: I mean, you don't have to. I'll assist if I
- 25:14Speaker 3: need to.
- 25:14Speaker 1: But no, really, that's that would be so weird to
- 25:17Speaker 1: me unless it's something a joint thing that we both
- 25:21Speaker 1: are part of. If it's your doctor, like I have
- 25:23Speaker 1: no idea, She'll just tell me one day, like I
- 25:25Speaker 1: have a dentist appointment today.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Yeah, no idea, you know.
- 25:28Speaker 2: And I think it is also just because we have kids.
- 25:30Speaker 2: So if we're doing stuff, it's like, oh, is nix
- 25:32Speaker 2: wall and a check coming up? Or is does he
- 25:34Speaker 2: need a dental appointment? Like I'll kind of book all
- 25:37Speaker 2: of them out so that it works within our schedule,
- 25:40Speaker 2: like prescriptions, like if he needs something picked up, I'll
- 25:42Speaker 2: do that. And I'm starting need to feel like I'm
- 25:43Speaker 2: a really good wife. I hope he's listening. Yeah, you're
- 25:45Speaker 2: the anti this woman everything she strives not to be.
- 25:48Speaker 1: You are.
- 25:49Speaker 4: No.
- 25:49Speaker 1: She does say, though, that she's not her husband's personal secretary.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Of course, she goes on to say other things she
- 25:54Speaker 1: won't do for her husband, packing his clothes for a vacation.
- 25:58Speaker 2: See, and I choose to Nick does his own all
- 26:02Speaker 2: the time, a boy. But then we'll go And this
- 26:06Speaker 2: is a really fun part, Pike. Whether it sucks or underwear,
- 26:09Speaker 2: I don't care. Okay, you forgot those, but it's like, oh, we're.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Doing one night, just one night of doing something real nice.
- 26:15Speaker 5: Uh huh.
- 26:16Speaker 2: And you know, it just it just never remembers, like
- 26:18Speaker 2: a shirt for that good shirt or any of things
- 26:21Speaker 2: like that.
- 26:21Speaker 1: You just got to be a pro. You gotta be
- 26:23Speaker 1: a when it comes to that. You just got to
- 26:26Speaker 1: be a big boy and pack.
- 26:28Speaker 2: A nice and then and then I I know it's
- 26:31Speaker 2: one of his favorite things.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Are you sure you packed everything? Did you get everything
- 26:34Speaker 3: that you need?
- 26:35Speaker 1: Because then that's the mom and me coming at him,
- 26:38Speaker 1: and then it's like, of course I did, see's and
- 26:40Speaker 1: then day two into the vacation. It's just so fun
- 26:43Speaker 1: when it's.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Like, uh, honey, I might have forgot yeah, oh weird
- 26:48Speaker 2: do it because my questions are so good.
- 26:50Speaker 1: I know, I get my wife always on it didn't
- 26:53Speaker 1: get where you you have your wallet, you have a sunglass.
- 26:54Speaker 1: I'm like, why why would you feel the need to
- 26:56Speaker 1: ask me that. It couldn't be the four hundred other
- 26:59Speaker 1: times we've walked out of the place and I had
- 27:02Speaker 1: to go back because I forgot my wallet and sunglasses.
- 27:04Speaker 3: It couldn't be that, I know.
- 27:06Speaker 1: And finally she says, she will draw the line at
- 27:08Speaker 1: buying him new underwear when his old ones have holes.
- 27:11Speaker 3: That is on him.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Just bot nick underwear on Amazon Prime Day, You're the worst,
- 27:15Speaker 2: and he is like, I will buy my own. He
- 27:18Speaker 2: won't let me buy him shoes, clothes, absolutely anything. Guess
- 27:21Speaker 2: what he's probably rocking right now. I did good. I
- 27:23Speaker 2: was proud of that moment. For you buy an underwear online.
- 27:26Speaker 2: That's gutsy. Don't you like to go in and try
- 27:28Speaker 2: him on?
- 27:29Speaker 3: That's what I.
- 27:32Speaker 4: Like in a minute in the morning on a big
- 27:34Speaker 4: nuddy eight point seven.
- 27:35Speaker 1: We put a lot of trust into our email in
- 27:38Speaker 1: the spam folder properly designating things as spam right, very
- 27:42Speaker 1: much side, And I think for the most part it
- 27:43Speaker 1: does a pretty good job. Like you ever look in
- 27:45Speaker 1: your spam folder and just see all these old emails
- 27:47Speaker 1: that you didn't see, Well, this woman, this is a
- 27:49Speaker 1: good lesson. You might want to check your spam folder
- 27:51Speaker 1: occasionally because she's a fifty four year old Michigan woman
- 27:54Speaker 1: who just happened to look into her spam folder and
- 27:57Speaker 1: realize she had one two hundred seven thousand dollars Oh
- 28:02Speaker 1: get at it from the Michigan lottery.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, she.
- 28:05Speaker 1: They did mail you about Apparently the Michigan Lottery is
- 28:08Speaker 1: just going to email you. I don't believe this, it's
- 28:10Speaker 1: a true story, she said. I was so confused when
- 28:12Speaker 1: I came across the email from the Michigan Lottery and
- 28:14Speaker 1: my spam folder saying I'd won the big Cash second
- 28:17Speaker 1: Chance Jackpot prize.
- 28:19Speaker 3: This sounds like the biggest scam. This is like a
- 28:22Speaker 3: Jelly of the Month club.
- 28:23Speaker 1: See this is just the worst though, because now, how
- 28:26Speaker 1: many times have you gotten an email or something where
- 28:29Speaker 1: you are a ninety nine point nine percent shirt. It's fake,
- 28:32Speaker 1: it's a scam. You didn't win any money, but there's
- 28:35Speaker 1: just still party of It's like, how many have I
- 28:37Speaker 1: missed an opportunity to win something because I just ignored him?
- 28:40Speaker 3: So mine's the opposite.
- 28:42Speaker 2: There was an email I can't remember if it was
- 28:43Speaker 2: sent to my husband or my email with one of
- 28:45Speaker 2: our Gmail accounts, and it was something through PayPal Pal,
- 28:48Speaker 2: but it had said we had paid this amount of
- 28:52Speaker 2: money or it was about to go through to process,
- 28:53Speaker 2: and it was like nine thousand dollars. And in my mind,
- 28:56Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my gosh, it'd somebody hack us, because
- 28:59Speaker 2: they get the emails now so close to what you
- 29:03Speaker 2: think it would be where you think maybe and they're
- 29:05Speaker 2: using the same logo that that actually could be PayPal,
- 29:08Speaker 2: and that makes me nervous.
- 29:10Speaker 1: I know, yeah, there's that too. It's just a it's
- 29:12Speaker 1: a tough way. It's a rough world out there because
- 29:13Speaker 1: they getting really good, these scammers. Now I had a
- 29:16Speaker 1: trick you, and then you think about us, who's I think,
- 29:19Speaker 1: relatively aware and would be hard to trick. But then
- 29:22Speaker 1: people like my mom, we just talked about this a
- 29:23Speaker 1: couple weeks ago, you know, getting it getting a text message.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Didn't she get like a brand new job one hundred
- 29:28Speaker 2: thousand dollars an hour?
- 29:29Speaker 1: Yeah, for Claire, you just like data entry. Fully you're
- 29:32Speaker 1: work from home sixty bucks an hour. And she didn't
- 29:35Speaker 1: even have to apply. They just reached out to her.
- 29:38Speaker 1: It's the easiest gig in the world.
- 29:39Speaker 4: Oh, now, I know, I get a man in the
- 29:41Speaker 4: morning seven.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Nobody loves a nap more than me. I don't even
- 29:45Speaker 1: know if love is the word. Just no, it just
- 29:47Speaker 1: requires an them. Yeah, but there's ways to do it
- 29:50Speaker 1: right and there's ways to do it wrong when it
- 29:52Speaker 1: comes to napping.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Okay, And I've heard so many different theories, Like for
- 29:56Speaker 2: me personally, I've heard that the shorter the better, just
- 29:58Speaker 2: kind of like a refrash. But sometimes I'm like, that
- 30:01Speaker 2: makes it even worse. What are they saying.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Well, they are doctor Amy Corwin, who's a pullmanologist. She says,
- 30:08Speaker 1: there's ways to do it so you don't wake up
- 30:09Speaker 1: feeling groggy and wiped out because otherways. So my sleep
- 30:12Speaker 1: schedule just you know, is don't sleep at night at
- 30:14Speaker 1: all or for like an hour or two, and then
- 30:16Speaker 1: sleep for three hours during the day and wake up
- 30:19Speaker 1: and take several hours to come out of that coma
- 30:22Speaker 1: that you feel, which is worse than like being tired almost,
- 30:25Speaker 1: you know. So she says, trick is keep it short.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Twenty minutes is optimal. Twenty minute nap, but you out
- 30:31Speaker 1: of your mind Amy, twenty minutes.
- 30:33Speaker 2: See, and I this is kind of where I fall.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Of course, we wake up so early. Everybody knows that.
- 30:39Speaker 2: We try to go to bed at a decent time.
- 30:41Speaker 2: But if I can get like six hours of sleep,
- 30:44Speaker 2: that's gold to me, Like that is amazing. If I
- 30:46Speaker 2: can get six hours of sleep, so like a day
- 30:49Speaker 2: to day, if I was doing big happy hour, get
- 30:51Speaker 2: home if I will do like a two forty to
- 30:54Speaker 2: three o'clock nap, like two thirty to three, like that
- 30:59Speaker 2: is great.
- 31:00Speaker 3: And then I'm like, okay, take a shower and then
- 31:01Speaker 3: I'm ready to go. Yeah.
- 31:03Speaker 1: What she says the best time of day is between
- 31:06Speaker 1: one pm and three pm. Now, of course it depends
- 31:08Speaker 1: on your your cycle. It's like she's talking to us,
- 31:11Speaker 1: yeah yeah, yeah uh. And then the other trick is
- 31:13Speaker 1: just do do it on the couch, not in the bed.
- 31:17Speaker 3: I don't do that. I go right to my bed. Yeah.
- 31:19Speaker 1: See, once you commit to laying in the bed under
- 31:21Speaker 1: the sheets, it's like, now you're just going to bed.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Yeah, this is no longer a.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Nap, do you Because one of the things I have
- 31:28Speaker 2: to either like stay in like clothes so I don't
- 31:31Speaker 2: get too comfy, right, that's one of that. That's another
- 31:34Speaker 2: key for a twenty minute ap. As soon as I
- 31:35Speaker 2: put on the sweats and a sweatshirt and I roll in,
- 31:37Speaker 2: I'm like, ah, goshould I have to do anything else today?
- 31:40Speaker 3: Yeah? See that's just to me. There's two types of naps.
- 31:44Speaker 1: There's like you got your cat nap, which is anywhere
- 31:47Speaker 1: anytime that could be on the couch that could be
- 31:49Speaker 1: sitting up at a table.
- 31:50Speaker 2: What is one of your favorites call I was gonna say,
- 31:53Speaker 2: who don't know you?
- 31:53Speaker 3: One of your favorite places to nap in the car?
- 31:56Speaker 3: I love.
- 31:56Speaker 1: I love eating in the car. I love sleeping in
- 31:58Speaker 1: the car. One could say I pretty much live in
- 32:00Speaker 1: my car.
- 32:01Speaker 3: It's so weird. If I didn't have a wife, that
- 32:03Speaker 3: might be something I do by choice.
- 32:04Speaker 2: But you also like go places like you want to
- 32:07Speaker 2: have like a scenery for your now.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I had a free day, like on a nice
- 32:11Speaker 1: cloudy day in the fall. Seriously in the fall. That's
- 32:13Speaker 1: just driving to Island Park, parking in that parking lot
- 32:17Speaker 1: that's on the sort of the south side by the
- 32:19Speaker 1: tennis courts, under a tree, rolling the windows halfway down,
- 32:22Speaker 1: kicking that seat in my ultimate all the way back.
- 32:24Speaker 3: Oh is that comfortable?
- 32:26Speaker 1: It's it? Well, the thing is, it's not that comfortable,
- 32:29Speaker 1: but just something about it, I don't know. It just
- 32:31Speaker 1: takes me away and sometimes I'll fall asleep for hours hours.
- 32:34Speaker 1: That's why I used to That's why it took me
- 32:35Speaker 1: if it took me six years to get a degree
- 32:37Speaker 1: at MSUM, because I would go to class park and
- 32:40Speaker 1: say Oh, I'm just gonna do like do, doctor Amy says.
- 32:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna just close my eyes for twenty minutes. I'd
- 32:45Speaker 1: wake up three hours later and having missed both classes.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Oh man, and just go home.
- 32:49Speaker 1: So yeah, all right, couple tips for you'd be better nappers.
- 32:53Speaker 1: I can't imagine napping in my car right today.
- 32:56Speaker 3: No, yeah, we'll do it. I mean, well, I can.
- 32:58Speaker 2: I can nap in my car if it's moved in
- 33:00Speaker 2: and going somewhere to a destination.
- 33:02Speaker 3: Oh yeah, when your husband's driving. Yes, we love that.
- 33:04Speaker 3: That's easy. Go ahead, fall asleep, We got it. Keep
- 33:07Speaker 3: our eyes on the road.
