- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: It's the almost Famous podcast. I'm here today with my
- 0:10Speaker 2: good friend Trista. Hello, Trista. We are here in San Francisco.
- 0:16Speaker 2: We spent yesterday at Radio Row in the Super Bowl.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Today we are sitting in the podcast studios, newly built,
- 0:25Speaker 2: very beautiful in San Francisco. But there's been a lot
- 0:29Speaker 2: happening in Bachelor Nation recently, and we've got a lot
- 0:32Speaker 2: of news to bring your way. Trista is here with
- 0:34Speaker 2: us today to be our resident expert break down everything happening.
- 0:39Speaker 2: We're gonna start with a big one, A big.
- 0:42Speaker 3: One that was actually a lot of people were talking
- 0:46Speaker 3: about it last night.
- 0:47Speaker 2: A lot of people were talking about a lot of opinions.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I have my own. I know, Trista, you have your own.
- 0:52Speaker 2: But the overall I think feeling is excitement and curiosity.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Chris Harrison to host trade aditional marriage dating show nearly
- 1:02Speaker 2: five years after Bachelor exit. Trista tell us about it.
- 1:07Speaker 2: We'll talk about it.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Yes, I mean, honestly, I feel like nobody I saw
- 1:12Speaker 3: yesterday was everyone was talking about it, and I think
- 1:17Speaker 3: because it's a bit controversial, and I think the only
- 1:22Speaker 3: reason that it's controversial. I mean, clearly Chris knows dating shows.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Yeah, he's pretty good.
- 1:29Speaker 4: But because of what.
- 1:32Speaker 3: The tagline or the caption about the announcement was, and
- 1:38Speaker 3: it basically said not basically, this is what it said,
- 1:42Speaker 3: A prominent streaming service is casting single men and women
- 1:46Speaker 3: twenty one plus who want a traditional marriage, minded partnership
- 1:51Speaker 3: built on commitment and shared values. We're looking for singles
- 1:55Speaker 3: who believe in clear roles. And I think that was
- 1:59Speaker 3: part of the controversy, long term commitment in building a
- 2:03Speaker 3: life together and who are dating with real intention. Now
- 2:06Speaker 3: I don't see the controversy in most of that ninety
- 2:09Speaker 3: nine percent of that statement I don't see, but the
- 2:12Speaker 3: clear roles part. Someone commented, what the heck does that mean?
- 2:18Speaker 3: I feel like what people are wondering is if it
- 2:22Speaker 3: is promoting women staying at home and cooking dinner and
- 2:27Speaker 3: you know, like that kind of like clear role or
- 2:31Speaker 3: is it just saying in my mind saying it could
- 2:35Speaker 3: be clear roles, Like you know, I'm going to be
- 2:39Speaker 3: a firefighter, Ryan, I'm going to be a stay at
- 2:42Speaker 3: home work and work mom. I'm going to make the dinners, Ryan,
- 2:46Speaker 3: I'm going to take the kids to school, Like, are.
- 2:49Speaker 4: Those the clear roles or are they?
- 2:50Speaker 3: Are we going back to the fifties and kind of
- 2:53Speaker 3: that more quote unquote traditional marriage.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Well, a couple things here. Yeah, as you said, Chris
- 3:01Speaker 2: Harrison knows dating shows. There was no language used in
- 3:06Speaker 2: this announcement that was not on purpose. Right. And if
- 3:12Speaker 2: there's controversy, there's conversation, yep. And conversation is great for
- 3:18Speaker 2: the promotion of a show, right yep. Now here's the
- 3:21Speaker 2: other thing. And I think you and I can speak
- 3:23Speaker 2: to this because we know Chris so well. Look at
- 3:25Speaker 2: his own marriage, right totally.
- 3:27Speaker 4: I said that all night last night.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Yeah, look at his own marriage. Lauren works, he works,
- 3:33Speaker 2: she runs her race, He runs his race.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Yep.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I and I don't know this to be a fact,
- 3:42Speaker 2: but my assumption and what I would stand pretty firm on,
- 3:45Speaker 2: is when they say clear roles, it's more in the
- 3:48Speaker 2: lines of what you were saying, where, Hey, this is
- 3:51Speaker 2: a traditional relationship in the sense that we are looking
- 3:54Speaker 2: for a man and a woman today. They're both going
- 3:57Speaker 2: to have their separate interests and hobbies. You know, could
- 4:01Speaker 2: there may maybe have been a little more like clarification
- 4:03Speaker 2: to that in the caption when they announced it. Sure,
- 4:06Speaker 2: but but then we wouldn't be talking about it like this.
- 4:11Speaker 2: A couple other things. I think a lot of people
- 4:15Speaker 2: are going to be so excited to see Chris host
- 4:17Speaker 2: a show again on their television. I think, as you said,
- 4:22Speaker 2: ninety nine percent this, I don't see any problem with, right. Yeah,
- 4:25Speaker 2: they're they're obviously casting for something looks like similar to
- 4:29Speaker 2: what The Bachelor has casted for. Right, there's a man,
- 4:32Speaker 2: there's a woman they date. You know, a woman is
- 4:36Speaker 2: dating a bunch of men. A man is dating a
- 4:38Speaker 2: bunch of women. I don't know if that's the setup
- 4:41Speaker 2: for this show. It seems more like it's almost like
- 4:43Speaker 2: a matchmaking kind of thing, where like they're bringing two
- 4:46Speaker 2: people together that they seem could work. But this is big.
- 4:53Speaker 2: We haven't seen Chris Harrison on our televisions since twenty
- 4:57Speaker 2: twenty one. It's twenty twenty six. It's five years of
- 5:01Speaker 2: a host who America grew up with, loved and recognized.
- 5:06Speaker 2: At one point was probably one of the more famous
- 5:08Speaker 2: people in the United States of America. He has been
- 5:12Speaker 2: off our televisions. Yeah, and he's coming back. I don't
- 5:17Speaker 2: know who with a prominent streaming service. But I would
- 5:21Speaker 2: have to imagine if Chris is going to say yes
- 5:23Speaker 2: to doing another show, he's got to believe this is
- 5:26Speaker 2: going to be a hit. Well, yeah, he wouldn't do
- 5:28Speaker 2: it otherwise, he would not do it otherwise, he doesn't
- 5:30Speaker 2: need to do it otherwise. No, I think what we
- 5:33Speaker 2: need to do because in today's world, right we can.
- 5:37Speaker 2: I think we're looking for reasons to get upset. Yeah,
- 5:40Speaker 2: and sometimes they're justified and sometimes they're not. I think
- 5:43Speaker 2: when we look at this, let's assume that they're not
- 5:48Speaker 2: like looking for like a show that it takes us
- 5:50Speaker 2: back to the nineteen fifties. Yeah, it just doesn't make sense.
- 5:53Speaker 2: It wouldn't. It wouldn't be accurate to his life. So
- 5:57Speaker 2: how can he host a show where like, you cook,
- 6:00Speaker 2: you clean, I'll go to work every day, make sure
- 6:02Speaker 2: you make me a drink when I get home. Like
- 6:03Speaker 2: that doesn't make sense in his world, So why would
- 6:05Speaker 2: it make sense on television?
- 6:06Speaker 3: I totally agree. I think that would be a big
- 6:09Speaker 3: discussion in their house.
- 6:10Speaker 2: I don't think it would go over. But Chris Harrison
- 6:14Speaker 2: is hosting a new dating show nearly five years after
- 6:18Speaker 2: Bachelor exit. Stay tuned for the announcement of when the
- 6:21Speaker 2: show will air. But if you're out there looking for
- 6:24Speaker 2: a relationship, maybe this is the show for you. Speaking
- 6:27Speaker 2: of relationships, we've obviously followed Nick and Natalie along the
- 6:32Speaker 2: headlines here recently as they announced they're hosting a show
- 6:36Speaker 2: on Netflix that will be coming out very soon. They
- 6:39Speaker 2: also had a big announcement this week Trista where they're
- 6:42Speaker 2: expecting twins. I don't understand what this means, so you
- 6:46Speaker 2: have to explain it to me. I just don't know.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Rainbow babies. I don't know what that is.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I literally was going to ask you. I know I've heard.
- 6:53Speaker 3: I think it's when you've had a loss, like a miscarriage, okay,
- 6:58Speaker 3: and after the miscarriage or I don't know if it
- 7:01Speaker 3: includes infertility struggles or fertility struggles, and then if you
- 7:07Speaker 3: have a rainbow baby, like we struggled with getting pregnant
- 7:10Speaker 3: for two years and then we got pregnant with Max.
- 7:13Speaker 3: So I don't know if Max is technically called a
- 7:16Speaker 3: rainbow baby because we didn't suffer a miscarriage before, but
- 7:20Speaker 3: I believe it's because So that's in reference.
- 7:23Speaker 2: To obviously other things have been public about they've had
- 7:27Speaker 2: three miscarriages over the last year. I mean, this has
- 7:30Speaker 2: been something they've been really trying to build and grow
- 7:34Speaker 2: their family, and goodness gracious, now they're having twins. I mean, what, like,
- 7:39Speaker 2: just I can't imagine finding out I'm having twins, or
- 7:43Speaker 2: like the Jess is having twins. But like that's I mean,
- 7:47Speaker 2: it still sets me back. And I thought I was
- 7:49Speaker 2: ready to have a second and I'm like, oh, gosh, twins.
- 7:52Speaker 2: That sounds wild totally, But tell us a little more
- 7:56Speaker 2: about this. Obviously, they're expanding their family.
- 7:59Speaker 3: So Natalie said, our rainbow babies are finally ready to
- 8:03Speaker 3: join us, and this time it's twins. She and Nick
- 8:08Speaker 3: wrote in a joint caption. They have really sweet photos
- 8:11Speaker 3: with their two year old daughter River, sitting on Nick's
- 8:15Speaker 3: hip wearing a cute little sweater saying big sister. I mean,
- 8:19Speaker 3: I love all the goodly announcements. They're so cute and
- 8:23Speaker 3: honestly so happy for them. I cannot imagine experiencing three
- 8:29Speaker 3: miscarriages in one year, let alone ever, and then to
- 8:36Speaker 3: be blessed with the news that you're having twins.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Wow, it's uh, I'm laughing, only because when you just
- 8:43Speaker 2: still say twins. I just whoa as well? I saw. Actually,
- 8:49Speaker 2: I was kind of processing this as we prepared for today,
- 8:52Speaker 2: and we're so happy for them and anybody if the
- 8:55Speaker 2: announcements do get me every time. And I was again
- 8:57Speaker 2: processing the idea of having twins and what that would
- 8:59Speaker 2: be like, and what my house would look like and
- 9:02Speaker 2: all these things. I was like putting myself in that scenario.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I was like, this seems so wild. And then I
- 9:06Speaker 2: saw saw and I remembered Arilindyke and Lauren. Yes they
- 9:10Speaker 2: had twins. Yes, And I saw Ari had commented twins
- 9:13Speaker 2: of the best, which is all really you need to
- 9:16Speaker 2: hear that, Like especially I think as you're preparing for
- 9:19Speaker 2: is like, not only can we do this, they're great? Yes,
- 9:23Speaker 2: that's fun. So congratulations to Nick and Natalie again on
- 9:27Speaker 2: their announcement. NODU date was announced, but I did see
- 9:30Speaker 2: on Instagram that she had commented I think walking into
- 9:33Speaker 2: like brunch or something, that she's very pregnant.
- 9:36Speaker 4: So got it.
- 9:38Speaker 3: So they waited a little bit longer, maybe the uh
- 9:41Speaker 3: and with twins she's going to show a little more.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Yeah, again wild. I thought it was crazy when one
- 9:48Speaker 2: was in there so many things happening inside your body.
- 10:03Speaker 2: The Bachelor Mansion. We mentioned the show a few months
- 10:06Speaker 2: ago when it was announced, but now we have a trailer.
- 10:09Speaker 2: The Bachelor Mansion is uh is in rough shape right now?
- 10:13Speaker 2: Or it was as of like not anymore? Well, oh
- 10:17Speaker 2: you were just there. Does it look nice?
- 10:18Speaker 4: Well, because we did the oh yeah.
- 10:21Speaker 2: You've seen it all. You've got the sneak cakes. It's goodness.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Trista is sitting on a lot of info here. HGTV
- 10:29Speaker 2: trailer was revealed and it shows some contestants that we
- 10:33Speaker 2: know and love from the show showing up to the
- 10:35Speaker 2: mansion for the renta, which was needed. I think anybody
- 10:39Speaker 2: that was there a year ago could have said, hey,
- 10:42Speaker 2: this house need a little makeover. Yeah it was. I
- 10:45Speaker 2: remember coming off the show, Trista and I waited a
- 10:49Speaker 2: year and then I was in a conversation with maybe
- 10:51Speaker 2: Ashley about the mansion and how wonderful it is and
- 10:54Speaker 2: how like memory, how many memories we have there. But
- 10:58Speaker 2: I remember it not being great like and it's not
- 11:00Speaker 2: a bad house. Goodness, it's a mansion and it's not
- 11:02Speaker 2: like I kind of live there. It was just torn
- 11:05Speaker 2: up from years and years and years of the show
- 11:07Speaker 2: years and years of furniture coming in and out. There's
- 11:09Speaker 2: a family that lives there full time, so everything that
- 11:12Speaker 2: they owned had to be removed all the time.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:14Speaker 2: And then when I was filming, I remember the doors
- 11:17Speaker 2: and windows being open all the time, so you have
- 11:20Speaker 2: critters coming in and out of that house.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Oh heck.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Uh. It just needed like it needed some love. Yeah. Uh,
- 11:28Speaker 2: And this I think is going to be a great
- 11:29Speaker 2: way to do it.
- 11:29Speaker 4: It's a great way to do it.
- 11:31Speaker 3: I just am taking it so personally that I was
- 11:34Speaker 3: not asked to be a part of it in any way.
- 11:36Speaker 3: So Ryan and I did a pilot called Rocky Mountain
- 11:39Speaker 3: Renault for HGTV. Yeah, and come on, like, I mean, please,
- 11:46Speaker 3: do I have an interior design degree? No, but I
- 11:49Speaker 3: love design, and I'm I'm like, oh, that would have
- 11:52Speaker 3: been so much fun. And anyway, I mean, I've talked
- 11:55Speaker 3: to Joan a lot and Tasha because we were both
- 11:58Speaker 3: at the mansion. So and Tyler Cameron are the hosts,
- 12:03Speaker 3: and there's a competition with people including Joan. We've got
- 12:10Speaker 3: Jill Chen, We've got Dean Bell, We've got Courtney Robertson,
- 12:14Speaker 3: We've got Sandra and Sam Alisha.
- 12:20Speaker 4: So many people are.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Competing, and they they're competing for the chance to win
- 12:25Speaker 3: one hundred grand at the end of this.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Not a small amount of money, no I'm looking at
- 12:30Speaker 2: I mean one hundred percent. It would have been a
- 12:31Speaker 2: home run to have you and Ryan there. But we
- 12:35Speaker 2: do have some you know. Joan obviously is a part
- 12:37Speaker 2: of this, as you mentioned, she's on the show. Jojo Fletcher,
- 12:41Speaker 2: Rachel Bilson, Nate Burkis, Christina Hack and Sean Low kind
- 12:47Speaker 2: of come in and do guest appearances. I out of this.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I mean, I think this is an all star list
- 12:53Speaker 2: of people. It really is, from Dean to Jill to
- 12:57Speaker 2: Noah to Joan. But one of the people I love
- 13:02Speaker 2: so much goodness. I think she's fantastic. As Courtney Robertson.
- 13:06Speaker 2: I know all these people's backgrounds when it comes to
- 13:09Speaker 2: either interior design or construction. I don't know Courtney's. She's
- 13:14Speaker 2: she's a realtor, so that makes sense, Okay. Most of
- 13:18Speaker 2: everybody on this list has some type of association with
- 13:22Speaker 2: homes homes of some kind.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:25Speaker 2: The Bachelor Mansion takeover fro Merrs on Monday, March second,
- 13:28Speaker 2: at eight pm Eastern time on HGTV, and then each
- 13:33Speaker 2: new episode will be available to stream the next day
- 13:35Speaker 2: on HBO, Max and Discovery Plus. I think it's gonna
- 13:39Speaker 2: be so much fun. The only problem is they can
- 13:42Speaker 2: never do it again, like on'd you do it once?
- 13:45Speaker 2: It's over right, he's done so well.
- 13:48Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 13:48Speaker 3: I mean, they could redo it again and again and again,
- 13:51Speaker 3: but I don't see them.
- 13:52Speaker 2: I don't think that's good for home. But like, you
- 13:55Speaker 2: know what, a I don't even know how you set
- 13:57Speaker 2: up a show to be like, hey, we're gonna have
- 13:59Speaker 2: one season, right, like this is all we got. Let's
- 14:02Speaker 2: have a good time. Michael A, who we remember from
- 14:08Speaker 2: The Bachelorette and then again on season eight Bachelor in Paradise,
- 14:13Speaker 2: has revealed just recently on social media that he's sixty
- 14:17Speaker 2: days sober, and he gives some reasons on why he
- 14:21Speaker 2: doesn't miss it. This is interesting one because there's so
- 14:24Speaker 2: many people what is today the six There's so many
- 14:28Speaker 2: people that are like thirty seven days sober because January
- 14:32Speaker 2: first is such a popular day to stop drinking. But
- 14:35Speaker 2: he's gone sixty days, so he didn't do dry January.
- 14:38Speaker 2: He's doing it.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Yeah, good for him, he said, what I've noticed is
- 14:42Speaker 3: simple but profound. Clearer mornings, deeper rest, quieter thoughts. I
- 14:47Speaker 3: feel present in my body again, present in my life.
- 14:50Speaker 3: The noise I thought I needed to turn down turns
- 14:52Speaker 3: out I could handle it better without it, So good
- 14:55Speaker 3: for him. I don't drink a lot, but anytime I
- 15:00Speaker 3: hear about dry January, I'm like, yeah.
- 15:01Speaker 2: No, yeah, I'm good.
- 15:05Speaker 3: But more power to people who feel like, you know,
- 15:09Speaker 3: maybe they were, you know, indulging a bit too much
- 15:12Speaker 3: and just want to have a clearer mind.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Yeah, dry January is a good reason to be reset,
- 15:16Speaker 2: and I think it's a good excuse. So if I
- 15:18Speaker 2: were to stop for a month, it would be in
- 15:21Speaker 2: January because I know I could use it as a
- 15:23Speaker 2: backup instead of just telling my buddies like I just
- 15:26Speaker 2: am not this month.
- 15:27Speaker 3: And more of your friends, there's probably a good probability
- 15:31Speaker 3: that you're going to have other people joining you.
- 15:33Speaker 2: A lot of my friends, Yeah, a lot of my
- 15:35Speaker 2: friends are doing it and loving it good. It just
- 15:38Speaker 2: doesn't I don't think it affects my life positively or
- 15:41Speaker 2: negatively enough. Yeah, but I know so many people who
- 15:45Speaker 2: have gone sober because it's negatively affected their life and
- 15:49Speaker 2: I have yet to meet anybody that doesn't say they're
- 15:52Speaker 2: better for it. Sure, So congratulations to Michael for making
- 15:57Speaker 2: the decision and sticking by it sixty days over Tristy here.
- 16:02Speaker 2: I'm sure it says what is the reason why he
- 16:05Speaker 2: chose to do it?
- 16:06Speaker 4: I don't think he.
- 16:07Speaker 3: I don't think he had a reason. He actually he said,
- 16:10Speaker 3: hold please, he said, oh, sixty days since my last drink.
- 16:18Speaker 3: I didn't mark it on a calendar. I just started
- 16:20Speaker 3: paying attention. And I think he just was feeling like foggy.
- 16:25Speaker 3: He was feeling like he needed to just be more
- 16:29Speaker 3: present and more clear in his life.
- 16:32Speaker 2: And that makes sense.
- 16:33Speaker 4: I think that's why I did it.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Yeah, a big announcement. Katie Thurston is in the headlines
- 16:39Speaker 2: again for something very exciting. Yeah, Katie Thurston reveals that
- 16:44Speaker 2: her and Jeff are buying a house, and then she
- 16:48Speaker 2: also shares some of her other twenty twenty six goals. Obviously,
- 16:51Speaker 2: we've covered the Katie Thurston's you know, breast cancer journey,
- 16:56Speaker 2: and then also I believe recently her mom we cover
- 17:00Speaker 2: that on headlines also had breast has breast cancer. H
- 17:05Speaker 2: So we've talked about that a lot. But now we're
- 17:07Speaker 2: talking about some of her goals, which is a really
- 17:10Speaker 2: fun way to cover Katie Thurston.
- 17:12Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, she's been through so much and.
- 17:17Speaker 4: A house. Buying a house is always a fun thing.
- 17:20Speaker 2: It's so fun.
- 17:21Speaker 4: I loved that whole process.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Especially your first Totally feel like an adult. I feel
- 17:29Speaker 2: like an adult. Like you walk in, You're like I
- 17:31Speaker 2: could put something in this place. Yeah, and I don't
- 17:34Speaker 2: have to ask anybody.
- 17:35Speaker 4: Totally, it's munch, It's mine much.
- 17:38Speaker 2: It feels so good.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Yes, I love it.
- 17:41Speaker 3: She also I think this is a big part of
- 17:44Speaker 3: the headline is that she's got new scans coming on
- 17:48Speaker 3: February thirteenth, which will be the one year mark since
- 17:51Speaker 3: she was diagnosed with breast cancer and she's recently manifesting
- 17:56Speaker 3: no evidence of disease or she's she's manifesting no evidence
- 17:59Speaker 3: of but at this point, I feel like that's where
- 18:03Speaker 3: she is. She's in a good place in her diagnosis
- 18:08Speaker 3: and just hoping to manifest it completely being eradicated.
- 18:14Speaker 2: So, I mean a year in and for her to
- 18:16Speaker 2: see and even hope and believe it that's possible as
- 18:19Speaker 2: such a win.
- 18:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:21Speaker 2: She also talks about how I don't know if you
- 18:23Speaker 2: remember this Trista, But she had a whole Hawaii trip
- 18:27Speaker 2: planned when she was diagnosed, and it kind of got
- 18:29Speaker 2: ruined obviously because of you know, the situations happening in
- 18:33Speaker 2: her life. So I believe in twenty twenty six her
- 18:36Speaker 2: hope is to redo that trip. Yeah, and I quote
- 18:41Speaker 2: here life is good, life is good, my health is good.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I'm happy to be alive. Katie says, that's awesome.
- 18:49Speaker 4: Love it.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Final headline of the week. There's a video kind of
- 19:04Speaker 2: associated with this that I think adds some complexity to
- 19:08Speaker 2: this announcement. An anonymous gossip site Des Mois, hence at
- 19:13Speaker 2: gin Tran and Bravo start dating Trista. Thanks to the
- 19:20Speaker 2: powers that be at iHeart, we were able to also
- 19:24Speaker 2: match this headline up with a video that gen Tran
- 19:28Speaker 2: recently posted that seems to counter this announcement. And my
- 19:36Speaker 2: wife follows Des Mois and typically I feel like they're
- 19:42Speaker 2: they're right or they're onto things.
- 19:44Speaker 3: I think this is the first time I'm hearing about
- 19:46Speaker 3: this site, so I will be I will being it down.
- 19:49Speaker 2: It's it's a scroll and a half. I mean, it's
- 19:52Speaker 2: hours of need more of that. Yeah, who was seen
- 19:55Speaker 2: with who? And where. Yeah, but the video. Okay, so
- 19:59Speaker 2: this announcement that but Jesse Solomon and Gin Tran were
- 20:02Speaker 2: spotted out together. Okay, is the announcement right?
- 20:06Speaker 3: And then we have the video and like you said, Ben,
- 20:11Speaker 3: the timing kind of works out. So some are thinking
- 20:17Speaker 3: that it's a clap back to the man who bought
- 20:21Speaker 3: her dinner. So if you go watch the video, I
- 20:24Speaker 3: don't know if we link it or what, Maybe just
- 20:26Speaker 3: do a search. I think it was on TikTok on
- 20:28Speaker 3: her TikTok account. And she basically said, well, actually this
- 20:33Speaker 3: is a quote. I was out the other weekend at
- 20:35Speaker 3: a bar. Me and my friend were sitting at dinner
- 20:37Speaker 3: and these guys come and they sit next to us,
- 20:40Speaker 3: and they end up paying for our dinner. Honestly, not
- 20:42Speaker 3: a green flag or a red flag. I think that's
- 20:44Speaker 3: a yellow flag. I can afford my own dinner. But
- 20:46Speaker 3: they offered, and I was like, sure, you can have
- 20:48Speaker 3: my dinner, pay for it. It's what happens afterwards, because
- 20:52Speaker 3: I think there are multiple ways you can go about it.
- 20:55Speaker 3: You can pay for the dinner and just be a
- 20:57Speaker 3: gentleman and nothing can happen. However, if you're paying for
- 21:00Speaker 3: the dinner and then you're expecting something to come out
- 21:03Speaker 3: of it. You're disgusting. In my head, I'm like, why
- 21:06Speaker 3: do you want to pay for my dinner? Is my
- 21:07Speaker 3: husband really going to be out here buying random girls dinners?
- 21:10Speaker 3: Do you know who pays for random girls dinners? Insecure men?
- 21:13Speaker 3: Because they want to flex their money and their big
- 21:15Speaker 3: little wallets in my face?
- 21:17Speaker 2: And I close quote from Gin Tramp Yep, let's discuss
- 21:23Speaker 2: this for a second.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Yeah, there was actually more to the video that I
- 21:27Speaker 3: not just this, but it was.
- 21:30Speaker 4: It was very very interesting.
- 21:31Speaker 2: I don't know if this is a thing that jin
- 21:33Speaker 2: is doing. We've covered a couple of her videos. One.
- 21:35Speaker 2: I love the setup that she has. She's always like
- 21:38Speaker 2: sitting somewhere in like her pajamas, and she just has
- 21:41Speaker 2: like a buffet of food in front of her. She's
- 21:43Speaker 2: just scarfing. I think it's hilarious. And then she's just
- 21:46Speaker 2: going on She's like, yeah, she's just going off on rants,
- 21:49Speaker 2: and then she'll pause in between and be like this
- 21:51Speaker 2: ice cream is really good. Yeah, okay, I don't really
- 21:56Speaker 2: disagree with anything that Jinn is saying in this video.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Others then I think, and goodness, I know so many
- 22:03Speaker 2: guys who have tried a thousand ways to approach women,
- 22:08Speaker 2: and they are obvious, they have ulterior motives and they're
- 22:12Speaker 2: not like good and healthy. So I do know that's
- 22:15Speaker 2: a thing. Not dismissing that, However, I also know so
- 22:19Speaker 2: many guys who are good guys who are so nervous
- 22:21Speaker 2: to approach a beautiful woman when they're single, and they're
- 22:25Speaker 2: looking for a way to do that without And it's
- 22:27Speaker 2: really hard to come up with a reason if you're nervous,
- 22:30Speaker 2: especially to approach somebody that's not like, hey, can I
- 22:35Speaker 2: buy you a drink? It's not that they want to
- 22:37Speaker 2: buy you a drink. I think it's not. I would
- 22:39Speaker 2: say most of my buddies who are dating are not
- 22:43Speaker 2: trying to flex their wallets because they don't have big wallets,
- 22:45Speaker 2: Like they don't really want to be buying you a
- 22:46Speaker 2: drink anyways. They don't have a lot of money, so
- 22:49Speaker 2: it's just mostly like a hello and without saying, hey,
- 22:55Speaker 2: I think you're really pretty right off the bag. It's
- 22:57Speaker 2: like just opening up the door enough to be like,
- 23:00Speaker 2: I'm I noticed you enough that can I like show
- 23:03Speaker 2: you that I appreciate your beauty? Yeah, I would think
- 23:09Speaker 2: also that would go along with dinner. And so I
- 23:11Speaker 2: don't want to think that buying somebody dinner is misogynistic.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Oh hey, look how much money I have. You can't
- 23:18Speaker 2: afford this to let me buy it for you, right,
- 23:20Speaker 2: I don't want to assume that that is right what happens.
- 23:24Speaker 2: I do think we need to understand and maybe just
- 23:26Speaker 2: like take a step back and be like, hey, guys
- 23:28Speaker 2: are very nervous to approach a beautiful woman. Yeah, most
- 23:33Speaker 2: of my buddies who are little awkward don't know how
- 23:34Speaker 2: to do it, but they're great guys.
- 23:36Speaker 4: Yeah, totally.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Well, I think there are those people, they're the great guys,
- 23:39Speaker 3: and then there are the guys who maybe have ulterior emotives.
- 23:41Speaker 3: And I think what what the video went on to
- 23:45Speaker 3: explain is she got the sense that they wanted something
- 23:49Speaker 3: out of it, that they were expecting more than just
- 23:52Speaker 3: hanging out with them and paying for their dinner. So
- 23:55Speaker 3: I think it was just like her commentary on wait, so,
- 24:00Speaker 3: were you just buying me dinner to be the nice
- 24:02Speaker 3: guy who wanted to say I appreciate your beauty? Or
- 24:05Speaker 3: were you saying I want to buy you dinner because
- 24:08Speaker 3: I want to get you back to my hotel room.
- 24:10Speaker 2: And I do think most people could read through that
- 24:12Speaker 2: pretty quickly.
- 24:13Speaker 1: She did.
- 24:13Speaker 2: I think in the video quote at some point the
- 24:17Speaker 2: guy said I make more money than you, and oh.
- 24:19Speaker 3: Yes, that was come on and come on, I mean
- 24:23Speaker 3: that showed his cards right there.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Oh it's done. At that point, You're done, get up,
- 24:28Speaker 2: walk away, don't spend any more time. No. I also,
- 24:32Speaker 2: and the almost famous listeners have gotten mad at me
- 24:35Speaker 2: about this for years and years and years. And I
- 24:39Speaker 2: used to ride this train and I stopped because I
- 24:42Speaker 2: couldn't take the comments about it anymore. But I'm jumping
- 24:45Speaker 2: right back on the train right now. Anytime, and Jen
- 24:50Speaker 2: mentions this without saying it the same way I do.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Anytime somebody has to describe themselves to you in a
- 24:57Speaker 2: positive light, Trista, I love that you love yourself and
- 25:01Speaker 2: that you're confident in yourself. I don't know. I'm asking
- 25:05Speaker 2: that question myself all the time, but I love that
- 25:09Speaker 2: you could sit here and tell me, Hey, I'm a
- 25:12Speaker 2: good mom, I'm a loving wife, all these things. You
- 25:15Speaker 2: could say that, and I believe it. However, I don't
- 25:20Speaker 2: actually know if I need you telling me those things
- 25:22Speaker 2: totally I want to be the one telling you from
- 25:25Speaker 2: my witness I call it self describing. So Jen in
- 25:29Speaker 2: the video says that the guy sat down and pretty
- 25:32Speaker 2: much immediately he was like, well, I just want to
- 25:33Speaker 2: let you know I'm not an asshole. And it's like,
- 25:36Speaker 2: as soon as somebody says something like that to you,
- 25:39Speaker 2: that is a moment to take a step back. How
- 25:42Speaker 2: many people have we met that's like, oh, you know,
- 25:44Speaker 2: I'm a nice guy. If I sat down with you, Tristan,
- 25:47Speaker 2: I was like, oh, you know me, I'm a nice guy. Like,
- 25:50Speaker 2: that's a weird thing. I feel like for me to
- 25:51Speaker 2: say you can say that about me, you can talk
- 25:54Speaker 2: about me behind my back and say been such a
- 25:57Speaker 2: nice guy. I don't even have to hear it.
- 25:59Speaker 5: But if at some point I am so insecure and
- 26:03Speaker 5: who I am that I have to describe myself to
- 26:06Speaker 5: almost manipulate your thought process, I think that is a
- 26:11Speaker 5: red flag.
- 26:12Speaker 4: Yes, I I don't know why you would get pushback
- 26:14Speaker 4: on that.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I just well, the show has a lot of self
- 26:17Speaker 2: describing and it was always my like red flag when
- 26:19Speaker 2: I was watching The Bachelor. When Bachelor, when somebody would
- 26:22Speaker 2: be come in and be like, you know, I'm not crazy.
- 26:24Speaker 2: I'm like, you're a hundred percent crazy. Now, yeah you are.
- 26:29Speaker 2: It's all over, you know what.
- 26:31Speaker 3: And also I am so drawn to the humility in people.
- 26:36Speaker 3: My husband is the most humble person you will ever
- 26:39Speaker 3: meet on the planet. So I feel like, I yes completely.
- 26:44Speaker 3: It gives me the ick if someone's like, I'm a
- 26:46Speaker 3: nice guy, I'm not crazy, Oh, yes you are.
- 26:49Speaker 4: And I'm staying far away.
- 26:51Speaker 2: There's so many ways we can do this. People tell them.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Tell me that you know I'm really smart is another one.
- 26:56Speaker 2: I'm like, oh goodness, if you have.
- 26:58Speaker 4: To say that, then.
- 27:00Speaker 2: You have a lot of work to do. Anyways, jin
- 27:03Speaker 2: Trand posted a video. It seems like she is trying
- 27:06Speaker 2: to tell the public that no, this Jesse Solomon rumor
- 27:09Speaker 2: is not true. She said within a thousand miles of her,
- 27:12Speaker 2: there was no guys that intrigue her or interest her.
- 27:15Speaker 2: So we have this post saying that won't be surprised
- 27:17Speaker 2: if we see them out together again, and her video
- 27:20Speaker 2: from the source saying no guys.
- 27:24Speaker 3: We are assuming that she was talking about Jesse, but
- 27:27Speaker 3: still timing works out.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Timing works out. That's been the headlines for this last week.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Some big things we covered again Chris Harrison's new show.
- 27:39Speaker 2: It's going to be streaming on a prominent streaming service.
- 27:43Speaker 2: They're looking for people interested in a traditional marriage. If
- 27:48Speaker 2: you're interested in applying, they're still casting for this. Also,
- 27:52Speaker 2: congratulations to Nick and Natalie on The Twins. The Bachelor
- 27:56Speaker 2: Mansion Makeover show is trailer is out, Michael a is sober,
- 28:03Speaker 2: Katie Thurston is buying a home, and Gintran is saying
- 28:07Speaker 2: no guys are intriguing her within one thousand mile radius. Hey,
- 28:12Speaker 2: that's all we have for you today. Until next time.
- 28:15Speaker 2: I've been Ben, I've been Dresda.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Hi.
