- 1:02Speaker 2: pick up.
- 1:04Speaker 4: I'll just overlay some applause.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Some sound effects, golf clap. Yeah, I'll do some fully
- 1:10Speaker 3: work on this podcast.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Some Dave fully work. That's where you get divorced and
- 1:15Speaker 2: you host the nine seasons of a poker show. It's
- 1:18Speaker 2: pretty good poker show.
- 1:19Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I wasn't mad at poker shows when they were like
- 1:23Speaker 3: really big.
- 1:24Speaker 5: I loved poker shows.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Yeah, the poker era was fun. That was like second
- 1:29Speaker 2: term George Bush. We all watched like celebrity poker late
- 1:33Speaker 2: at night.
- 1:34Speaker 5: I loved poker shows around the rounders Era because I
- 1:38Speaker 5: knew how to play poker from being a kid. So
- 1:40Speaker 5: like everyone in high school got into it and I
- 1:42Speaker 5: just beat the shit out of them. And that's how
- 1:44Speaker 5: I made money instead of getting a real drop in
- 1:46Speaker 5: high school.
- 1:47Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Yeah, it was fantastic.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I did the same thing with yu gi Oh, but
- 1:51Speaker 2: it pays much less. You just really get to dominate
- 1:54Speaker 2: the social hierarchy of the yugi O plan kids. That's
- 1:57Speaker 2: about it.
- 1:58Speaker 5: The yuki Oh Championships on yes into.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and I was cheated out of my prize money too,
- 2:03Speaker 2: and I beat There was a school wide tournament and
- 2:05Speaker 2: this is one guy was like, yeah, I'll hold all
- 2:07Speaker 2: the money and then I'll give it to the guy. He
- 2:08Speaker 2: just spent everybody's money.
- 2:10Speaker 3: My most lucrative side hustle in high school and I
- 2:13Speaker 3: was only able to pull it off for maybe two
- 2:16Speaker 3: three months. I would just steal CDs from the mall
- 2:19Speaker 3: and then sell them at school. I don't know if
- 2:22Speaker 3: the Revi you have ever tried that, but it fucking works.
- 2:25Speaker 3: It's pure profit.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Adam's moving some swag.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Yeah, you won't get as much for CDs today, but
- 2:32Speaker 3: still give it a shot.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Hey, there Sonny need something to do cocaine off.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Of This is obviously a very loosey goosey episode. It's
- 2:40Speaker 3: a bonus episode, but because through the end of the year,
- 2:43Speaker 3: I'm putting out all the bonus episodes.
- 2:45Speaker 4: For free, it's also a free episode. Again.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Subscribe at Patreon dot com, slash on Pops or you
- 2:52Speaker 3: don't pod dot supercast dot com if you want to
- 2:54Speaker 3: keep getting bonus episodes. After the end of the year,
- 2:58Speaker 3: we are doing another conspiracy News roundup episode. This is
- 3:03Speaker 3: where I just type the word conspiracy into an RSS
- 3:08Speaker 3: reader and scroll through what it spits out until we
- 3:12Speaker 3: have enough stuff to talk about on a podcast.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Sometimes there's more journalism than others going into these shows,
- 3:18Speaker 2: you know, and that's okay. It doesn't always need to
- 3:20Speaker 2: be the Elvis thesis. Sometimes it's just nice and light.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:24Speaker 3: I tracked down a dude's military records and gravesite for
- 3:28Speaker 3: an episode recently. This time around, my friend Barb sent
- 3:33Speaker 3: me a bunch of these stories. Shout out, Barb, thank you.
- 3:36Speaker 3: I appreciate that. Outside Barb anyway, let's talk about cartel members.
- 3:41Speaker 3: This is local news for me and Connor. Yeah, fortunately
- 3:46Speaker 3: not completely local because it happened in Riverside.
- 3:49Speaker 2: This is where I'm from. It's like I grew up
- 3:51Speaker 2: around there. Oh shit, And I am not surprised that
- 3:55Speaker 2: this is what's going on out there at all. Riverside
- 3:57Speaker 2: seems like a great place where if you're like a
- 3:59Speaker 2: mid level drug due and then you have I don't know,
- 4:01Speaker 2: a mill and a half, you can still get a
- 4:02Speaker 2: pretty fucking ditch and McMansion out there and kind of
- 4:05Speaker 2: just live it up like some kind of white trash
- 4:07Speaker 2: tony soprano and blend in perfectly. Just get a Raiders
- 4:10Speaker 2: tattoo and you're one of the gang, you know, one
- 4:13Speaker 2: of the crew.
- 4:14Speaker 5: I just feel like, if you're in California in the
- 4:16Speaker 5: place is named river or something instead of ocean something,
- 4:20Speaker 5: it's already kind of like lowering your.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Expetions, and I hate to disappoint you even further. Ain't
- 4:26Speaker 2: no river, Oh wow, there's no river. There's no nothing
- 4:31Speaker 2: like that. That's too nice. That would be nice.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I mean we have a river in La We got
- 4:35Speaker 3: the La River. There's water in it sometimes praising when it.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Rains up it is crazy.
- 4:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:41Speaker 3: And when there's not water in it, we film music
- 4:43Speaker 3: videos there.
- 4:44Speaker 5: Sometimes when Nold Schwarzenegger chases somebody.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Yeah, or a great scene in drive. I mean, there's
- 4:50Speaker 2: a lot of things you could do in the La
- 4:51Speaker 2: River that go hard, frankly, whether it's break dance or
- 4:54Speaker 2: do drive a car really fast.
- 4:57Speaker 3: So this right off the bat, the headline of this
- 5:00Speaker 3: first story is bonkers. Cartel leader's son in law faked
- 5:04Speaker 3: death to enable life of luxury in Riverside. And there's
- 5:09Speaker 3: no life of luxury in Riverside. Come on, but that's
- 5:11Speaker 3: what I'm saying.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Though. It's like you're white trash killing it, you know, like, yeah,
- 5:17Speaker 2: you have a five bedroom house with a pool, there's
- 5:20Speaker 2: some kind of shitty home gym in a fucking ghetto
- 5:22Speaker 2: ass home theater, and you think that you're like fucking scarface.
- 5:26Speaker 2: And it's enough that you think that because you live
- 5:28Speaker 2: in Riverside and you're stupid.
- 5:30Speaker 5: Can't you become the king of Rosita? Like you know,
- 5:32Speaker 5: it's like have some dreams.
- 5:34Speaker 4: You got no karate for that?
- 5:36Speaker 5: Oh that's true.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Yeah, Resita, that's a good market. That's the Riverside of
- 5:40Speaker 2: Los Angeles.
- 5:42Speaker 3: So the cartel leader son in question, Christian Fernando Gutierrez Ochoa,
- 5:49Speaker 3: who will be called Ochoa from here on out. He
- 5:52Speaker 3: is the son in law of a drug lord known
- 5:55Speaker 3: as Elmentcho, which I looked it up means men show
- 6:01Speaker 3: in English. Apparently it's just like a play on his
- 6:04Speaker 3: name and how it's pronounced. It's not like an actual word.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Well we should know that it's not spelled like the
- 6:10Speaker 2: Jewish mench. He's not like El Menchow, the nicest cartel guy.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I honestly thought that was what was going to come
- 6:18Speaker 3: out the other end of that search, and I was like,
- 6:21Speaker 3: why is this cartel leader called.
- 6:23Speaker 4: The minch That is fascinating.
- 6:26Speaker 5: Just super friendly. I always remember send Christmas gifts to
- 6:29Speaker 5: his other cartel associates.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Well, he actually worked with a guy who's known mostly
- 6:34Speaker 2: for eating pussy, El Muncho.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Yeah, my kind of cartel uga.
- 6:43Speaker 4: Logan make a sound effect, noise.
- 6:45Speaker 5: I don't want to do the pussy eating sound effect.
- 6:47Speaker 5: I don't think it'll come across for anybody's here as well.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Just you could have you could have gone with You
- 6:52Speaker 2: don't have to dirty dirty about it.
- 6:55Speaker 5: That's more of a boob sound effect or a dog too,
- 6:59Speaker 5: if you're looking down there.
- 7:00Speaker 2: So, yeah, Adam didn't say do a good sound effect.
- 7:03Speaker 2: He said, do a sound effect. You could have done
- 7:05Speaker 2: windshield wipers for all week here.
- 7:08Speaker 5: You know, I'm trying to think of the greatest sound effect.
- 7:11Speaker 5: That doesn't make sense for eating pussy. It has to
- 7:14Speaker 5: be kind of like coins tingling in a fucking fountain.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Just it's not bad, it's not bad.
- 7:21Speaker 2: It kind of sounded like a really tiny horse galloping.
- 7:25Speaker 5: Yeah, caloping to the pussy.
- 7:30Speaker 2: All right. I think that I saw the cartel issue.
- 7:35Speaker 2: We'll send him that.
- 7:36Speaker 3: So, yeah, this guy's name Nimicio Osaguera Servante. I don't
- 7:40Speaker 3: know how you get Mencho out of that, but it's fine.
- 7:44Speaker 5: Maybe, like if you're naming your kid Nimicio, you're just
- 7:47Speaker 5: setting him up to be kind of a back.
- 7:49Speaker 2: I mean yeah, literally an nealysis. Right. Yeah, it's like,
- 7:53Speaker 2: well his brother Evil though it wasn't much better either.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Okay, they are both high ranking members of the hell
- 8:00Speaker 3: Sco New Generation cartel. CJ nng Ochoa started working for
- 8:06Speaker 3: the cartel in twenty fourteen, married Elmencho's daughter, a US
- 8:11Speaker 3: citizen and coffee shop owner in Riverside.
- 8:15Speaker 4: You know this, lady Connor.
- 8:16Speaker 2: I think I smashed once after a gig at the
- 8:18Speaker 2: Ontario impross.
- 8:19Speaker 5: How's her yelp reviews?
- 8:21Speaker 3: Yeah, they would link to the coffee shop in the article.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Yeah, if it's like a front, I mean, they don't
- 8:27Speaker 2: have to care about being a good coffee shop. It
- 8:29Speaker 2: could be the worst coffee shop ever. It's a front.
- 8:31Speaker 5: She does fantastic art on the lattes, but it's all
- 8:34Speaker 5: just like terrifying cartel kills.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Can I get a Dadlo's birthday's skull or something? Nope? Okay,
- 8:41Speaker 2: good another headshot.
- 8:43Speaker 3: So while this guy was in Mexico Ochoa, the son
- 8:47Speaker 3: in law, he is alleged to have facilitated the transport
- 8:52Speaker 3: of forty metric tons of meth into the US.
- 8:58Speaker 4: That seems like a.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Lot because because they follow that up by saying and
- 9:02Speaker 3: also two thousand kilograms of cocaine, or.
- 9:05Speaker 2: As Diddy calls it, a small get together.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Yeah, that seems like such a disproportionate amount of drugs.
- 9:13Speaker 5: You have to know your market, you know, you just
- 9:15Speaker 5: go where the customer tells you to go, and if
- 9:17Speaker 5: it's meth, you go with meth.
- 9:19Speaker 4: It probably all went to Riverside.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I was about to say where it tells you to
- 9:22Speaker 2: go is Riverside?
- 9:24Speaker 5: I mean that's just good business planning.
- 9:26Speaker 2: The only thing that can make that city feel exciting
- 9:29Speaker 2: is meth, because when you're on meth, Riverside is like
- 9:32Speaker 2: Paris Paris, California, which is even worse than Riverside you've
- 9:36Speaker 2: ever heard been. It'sed by Hemmet. I can go on
- 9:38Speaker 2: for way too long with obscure East California cities.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Yeah, Hemmett, home of the Hemet maze stone, which I
- 9:45Speaker 3: hear is very fucking disappointing, like really small. We talked
- 9:49Speaker 3: about it on the past once. It's like a weird
- 9:53Speaker 3: rock in the middle of the desert or whatever the
- 9:56Speaker 3: fuck Hemmet is, and it's got this weird maze pattern
- 10:01Speaker 3: carved into it.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Oh weird.
- 10:02Speaker 5: Surprisingly looks like someone eating pussy, right Yeah.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Yeah, with a really long tongue.
- 10:10Speaker 5: He just zoom out and it's like a crop circle
- 10:12Speaker 5: of someone going down.
- 10:16Speaker 4: That's haimit.
- 10:17Speaker 3: This guy is also alleged to have kidnapped two members
- 10:19Speaker 3: of the Mexican Navy in twenty twenty one in an
- 10:22Speaker 3: effort to get a step mom released from jail.
- 10:26Speaker 4: Sounds like a good, good step son.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Honestly, when you get to the next point, I actually
- 10:31Speaker 5: have a point to make about this, gentlemen.
- 10:33Speaker 2: So do you think he was into those stepmom porn
- 10:36Speaker 2: videos and he thought if he did this he might
- 10:38Speaker 2: be able to curry favor. You know.
- 10:40Speaker 3: An Interpol red notice was issued for him after that
- 10:45Speaker 3: endeavor in twenty twenty two, and that's when Ochoa went missing.
- 10:50Speaker 3: His father in law, Elmancho started telling people around him
- 10:55Speaker 3: that he killed Ochoa for drawing too much attention to
- 10:59Speaker 3: the ORG. In real life, he had just led to
- 11:03Speaker 3: Riverside to live with his his love is a more isn't.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Necessarily what you would want if you're in the mob,
- 11:08Speaker 2: like to get out at some point and enjoy a
- 11:11Speaker 2: fucking quiet life.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Yeah, So I guess I was joking when I said
- 11:14Speaker 3: there's no such thing as a life of luxury in Riverside,
- 11:16Speaker 3: because he bought a one point two million dollar house
- 11:19Speaker 3: through a front company when they got there, and that
- 11:23Speaker 3: feels like a lot of money in Riverside.
- 11:27Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying, Tony Soprano MC Mansions.
- 11:30Speaker 5: And the house is the reason that he got caught.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Yeah, realtor and the seller both were like, oh, I
- 11:36Speaker 3: think these are cartel guys.
- 11:38Speaker 5: So not to defend the cartel murderer. But let's just
- 11:43Speaker 5: look at the facts here. This man gave up his
- 11:46Speaker 5: job to support his wife's career ambitions of opening up
- 11:50Speaker 5: a coffee shop. He also tried to get his mother
- 11:53Speaker 5: back on the right track and out of prison. And
- 11:56Speaker 5: then the only reason he was captured was because a
- 11:59Speaker 5: racist looked at him and said, I bet those guys
- 12:02Speaker 5: are in the cartel. I'm an, be honest a little
- 12:05Speaker 5: bit on this guy's side. Right now.
- 12:07Speaker 4: Here's the thing.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I'm gonna play devil's advocate and say, I bet this
- 12:12Speaker 3: realtor one has dealt with a lot of Mexican clients
- 12:18Speaker 3: before being in Riverside. Also, we don't know that she
- 12:22Speaker 3: was white. We don't know that the people who own
- 12:25Speaker 3: the house before were white. It's Riverside logan. I don't know,
- 12:29Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 12:30Speaker 5: I feel like a white person would be the only
- 12:32Speaker 5: one with the tenacity to snitch on a cartel person
- 12:36Speaker 5: like that. I think other people would know to mind
- 12:38Speaker 5: their own fucking business, Like, oh, this guy looks like
- 12:40Speaker 5: a cartel member. I'm not going to say a thing.
- 12:42Speaker 5: I'm just gonna enjoy my commission and not die.
- 12:45Speaker 2: It is big Karen Energy to think that you and
- 12:48Speaker 2: your fucking iPhone can stand up to the cartel.
- 12:52Speaker 5: That really tore has to be someone with enough white
- 12:55Speaker 5: person hairspray in there too deflect the bullet. That's why
- 12:58Speaker 5: you feel that confident. I don't see this being a
- 13:00Speaker 5: person of color as a person of color. It just
- 13:03Speaker 5: doesn't see right.
- 13:06Speaker 4: I'm curious. I wish we could find out.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Yeah, the trail goes cold.
- 13:12Speaker 3: So yeah, the Feds caught wind of this guy still
- 13:16Speaker 3: being alive and being in Riverside.
- 13:19Speaker 4: They start surveiling him. He starts surveiling them back.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Which that's cool, that's funny.
- 13:23Speaker 3: Eventually he got arrested. Elmnhow is still on the run,
- 13:27Speaker 3: though we don't know where olmnhow is.
- 13:29Speaker 5: If they didn't catch him through the real litur they
- 13:31Speaker 5: just would have noticed the escalation and pussy eating happening
- 13:34Speaker 5: in the Riverside area, So this would have been how
- 13:37Speaker 5: they track it down.
- 13:38Speaker 2: The thing about elmnhow is he's got a lot of friends,
- 13:40Speaker 2: He's done a lot of people some favors over the years.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Such a mench that he is, so there's any number
- 13:46Speaker 2: of places that they could be putting them up.
- 13:48Speaker 3: So next story, remember that thing where people are going
- 13:51Speaker 3: on TikTok and Instagram to post videos complaining about how
- 13:55Speaker 3: expensive McDonald's hash browns were when you bought them on
- 14:00Speaker 3: door dash.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Uh I would, I don't, I don't. I don't get
- 14:03Speaker 2: It's like I don't go to carbnews dot com. I
- 14:07Speaker 2: didn't hear about this.
- 14:09Speaker 4: I mean, I don't go to carbnews dot com.
- 14:12Speaker 3: But it was a thing, like it was a big
- 14:15Speaker 3: story because it related to inflation and people being mad
- 14:19Speaker 3: about inflation. I thought it was kind of dumb to
- 14:24Speaker 3: complain about the price of a McDonald's hash brown while
- 14:27Speaker 3: you're holding it in your hand, because that means, well,
- 14:30Speaker 3: you still fucking ordered it, so shut the fuck up,
- 14:32Speaker 3: like make hash browns at home.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Well, it's it's kind it's like complaining about the price
- 14:36Speaker 2: or something in Disneyland or seven to eleven. It's like
- 14:38Speaker 2: it's supposed to you know, what do you how do
- 14:40Speaker 2: you think this works?
- 14:41Speaker 5: Also, it's door dash. Of course it's going to be
- 14:43Speaker 5: more expensive, but yeah, that's the convenience of not going
- 14:47Speaker 5: to a McDonald's. Yeah, just go to Walmart. You can
- 14:51Speaker 5: buy like the frozen ones for like twenty for like
- 14:54Speaker 5: three bucks and just put it in an air fryer,
- 14:57Speaker 5: if you love them that much.
- 14:58Speaker 2: I didn't mean to be dismissed earlier, Adam. I just
- 15:01Speaker 2: was like, Wow, there's so much unrest that I missed
- 15:03Speaker 2: the potato riots.
- 15:06Speaker 3: So it seems like the other cause behind this could be.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Speaking of cartels, there lurks among us a frozen potato
- 15:16Speaker 3: cartel that is made up of four companies that I
- 15:21Speaker 3: won't name. You're not going to recognize any of the names.
- 15:24Speaker 5: The Russets, the Yukons, the Red Skin Yeah, and whatever
- 15:30Speaker 5: a fourth potato is, yeah.
- 15:32Speaker 2: The Idaho Chamber of Commerce.
- 15:35Speaker 3: This potato cartel has recently been hit with a bunch
- 15:39Speaker 3: of federal lawsuits, five actually accusing them of conspiring to
- 15:44Speaker 3: artificially fixed prices by sharing trade information and coordinating price
- 15:50Speaker 3: raises starting in twenty twenty one, which is right around
- 15:54Speaker 3: the time people were bitching about the price of their
- 15:57Speaker 3: hash browns.
- 15:58Speaker 5: Go figure, this is a conspiracy. This is like just
- 16:01Speaker 5: an actual thing that happened. Like most of the food
- 16:04Speaker 5: inflation they've already shown his like was drastically upmarked by companies,
- 16:10Speaker 5: Like there's a reason Kroger got slapped with like a
- 16:13Speaker 5: food inflation charge on their grocery prices, and like, there's
- 16:18Speaker 5: a reason why you're seeing rollbacks from like targeted places
- 16:21Speaker 5: and grocery prices because they definitely just scan that shit
- 16:25Speaker 5: beyond actual inflation.
- 16:27Speaker 2: And I guess, like whether or not, like the public
- 16:29Speaker 2: or the like Johnny Locke comes after you, you just go,
- 16:32Speaker 2: I don't know, boat got stuck supply chain.
- 16:35Speaker 5: Like, I'll just pay my two million dollar fine on
- 16:38Speaker 5: the three hundred million profit I made. Whoopsie, Daisy, I
- 16:42Speaker 5: want to push back on one thing you said, and
- 16:44Speaker 5: I feel like we're going to talk about it again later.
- 16:47Speaker 3: This is the textbook definition of a conspiracy. Oh yeah,
- 16:51Speaker 3: what's not conspiracy is questioning the government.
- 16:55Speaker 5: No, yeah, I should have phrased that better. This is
- 16:57Speaker 5: actual conspiracy, not like tinfoil hack.
- 17:01Speaker 6: Yeah, this isn't roswell, which just because they don't put
- 17:05Speaker 6: it on carbnews dot com doesn't mean that, you know,
- 17:08Speaker 6: the lamestream media can control this narrative.
- 17:12Speaker 4: Wow, Connor shit talking our biggest sponsor.
- 17:14Speaker 2: The lamestream media. Oh no, I ford carb News.
- 17:18Speaker 4: Oh I wish the lamestream media.
- 17:20Speaker 5: Holy shit, people are gonna find our bodies tomorrow with
- 17:23Speaker 5: a fucking potato shoved in our mouths for talking shit.
- 17:26Speaker 4: Oh, that'd be a fun way to go.
- 17:28Speaker 2: I'm irish. You can't kill me with the potato.
- 17:30Speaker 5: You just get stronger and stronger.
- 17:32Speaker 4: That's like shoot and sug night.
- 17:34Speaker 5: It's like Popeye.
- 17:36Speaker 3: So these actions are alleged to have caused prices for
- 17:39Speaker 3: frozen potato products to rise by forty seven percent between
- 17:43Speaker 3: July twenty twenty two and twenty twenty four.
- 17:45Speaker 4: That is a lot.
- 17:46Speaker 3: That's a big I canceled fucking stream Yard because they
- 17:50Speaker 3: boosted the price fifty percent. Oh thank you, actually one
- 17:54Speaker 3: hundred percent. It's forty four dollars they raised at the
- 17:56Speaker 3: eighty eight dollars and nope, nope, fuck that like that
- 18:00Speaker 3: And that's probably why I stopped ordering door Dash. I mean,
- 18:04Speaker 3: every once in a while I'll do it, but god damn,
- 18:07Speaker 3: is that a bad value. Like, if you're struggling with
- 18:10Speaker 3: your finances and ordering door Dash a bunch, stop ordering
- 18:15Speaker 3: door Dash.
- 18:16Speaker 4: That will help.
- 18:17Speaker 2: I think it's like a like a tree, like almost
- 18:19Speaker 2: like an emergency thing like I but my car's been
- 18:22Speaker 2: a it's a shop for the last couple of days.
- 18:24Speaker 2: So I literally like I'm limited to like what's in
- 18:26Speaker 2: walking distance from my place, so like I was, like,
- 18:29Speaker 2: you know, lean like it's only for very extenuating so
- 18:34Speaker 2: I don't know, Like it just feels so privileged to me, Like,
- 18:37Speaker 2: just fucking go pick it up. You save so much.
- 18:39Speaker 2: We be a total fat piece of shit and need
- 18:41Speaker 2: fast food all the time. Just go fucking pick it
- 18:43Speaker 2: up with your car, like it.
- 18:45Speaker 5: I've never used door dash because just like, I can't
- 18:48Speaker 5: imagine a situation where I need a fucking whopper in
- 18:52Speaker 5: that dire of a circumstance that I have to have
- 18:55Speaker 5: it delivered to be as like, just eat literally anything else,
- 19:00Speaker 5: or order something from a place that does delivery that
- 19:02Speaker 5: doesn't take advantage of their drivers.
- 19:04Speaker 4: I fuck with a whopper though.
- 19:06Speaker 2: You know, sometimes you need what you need, man. You know,
- 19:09Speaker 2: sometimes you need some applesider salmon donuts from Trade to Joe's.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Other times you need to kill them.
- 19:13Speaker 4: Man.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Here's the thing, will the place that already does delivery
- 19:18Speaker 3: also stop at my local grocery store and pick me
- 19:21Speaker 3: up groceries and beer if I need them to.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Door dash will pretty fucking handy.
- 19:26Speaker 2: That's pretty handy.
- 19:28Speaker 3: But yeah, they should treat their drivers better. But who
- 19:31Speaker 3: shouldn't what company is out there treating their drivers really good?
- 19:34Speaker 4: Probably not.
- 19:35Speaker 2: I used to work for a mom and pop delivery
- 19:37Speaker 2: app that was like a competitor to Postmates, but not
- 19:40Speaker 2: really like they had a dispatcher. They didn't have like
- 19:42Speaker 2: an algorithm that sorted the deliveries to you, like some
- 19:44Speaker 2: dude like messaged it to you and you could scam.
- 19:49Speaker 2: But you scam them for quite a bit of money,
- 19:50Speaker 2: that startup cash or whatever. Like we milked them, you know,
- 19:53Speaker 2: me and the boys.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Nice.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Yeah, when I lived in Wisconsin, there was a thing,
- 19:58Speaker 3: and this was like in the nineties, that there was
- 20:00Speaker 3: a delivery service like that where they would just like
- 20:04Speaker 3: it was just a handful of restaurants you could order from,
- 20:07Speaker 3: and they like used a dispatcher type thing.
- 20:10Speaker 4: I would order Hooters from there all the time.
- 20:12Speaker 5: But then you don't have the ambiance of a divorcedtead
- 20:15Speaker 5: trying to hit on a waitress if you don't go
- 20:17Speaker 5: there in person.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Some of us read Playboy for the articles and go
- 20:20Speaker 2: to Hooters for the wings man. All right, some people
- 20:23Speaker 2: are enlightened. I feel like you're threatened by it.
- 20:25Speaker 4: I have Hooters flower in my pantry that exists.
- 20:30Speaker 2: What the fuck Hooters staples.
- 20:32Speaker 3: You can buy Hooters flour and Hooters wing sauce in
- 20:36Speaker 3: stores and just make Hooters wings at home because speaking
- 20:39Speaker 3: of inflation, Hooters is one of the most expensive restaurants.
- 20:44Speaker 3: You wouldn't expect it, but fucking walk in there someday
- 20:47Speaker 3: and try to order lunch and get out of there
- 20:49Speaker 3: spending less than thirty five dollars.
- 20:51Speaker 5: And before someone complains about us complaining about door dash,
- 20:55Speaker 5: because I know there's going to be somebody in the commets. Yes,
- 20:58Speaker 5: I understand that some people will have certain disabilities that
- 21:02Speaker 5: prevent them from going to places, so they use services
- 21:04Speaker 5: like that. Please don't make that complaint.
- 21:06Speaker 4: I don't understand that.
- 21:08Speaker 5: Try harder, try harder, not to have crippling diseases.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Yeah, here's what I'm hearing. You had two choices, press
- 21:17Speaker 2: a button and give up or be inspiring, and you
- 21:20Speaker 2: chose failure. And if that's ablest, then well I have.
- 21:25Speaker 5: Seen enough montages on television and movies that show that
- 21:30Speaker 5: it's really just you need an old man trainer yelling
- 21:33Speaker 5: at you and that's enough to get you out of.
- 21:35Speaker 2: The chair and an upbeat like one hundred and twenty
- 21:37Speaker 2: beats per minute song about getting better or being the best.
- 21:42Speaker 5: My favorite thing was in Dark Knight Rises, where Batman's
- 21:45Speaker 5: spine is literally broken in half, and the way they
- 21:48Speaker 5: fix it is just some old dude in a nasty
- 21:51Speaker 5: shithole prison just punches his spine back into alignment and
- 21:55Speaker 5: he does sit ups until he can get out. Fantastic message.
- 22:00Speaker 4: How do you keep that guy in prison? By the way,
- 22:03Speaker 4: let that fell out Batman?
- 22:05Speaker 2: Well, he's the Batman, Adam. You know, he's the only
- 22:06Speaker 2: one who can feel your plans.
- 22:08Speaker 4: I don't remember. Was the guy who punched him also
- 22:10Speaker 4: like an inmate or did they?
- 22:11Speaker 5: Yeah, he was an inmate. He was just somebody who's
- 22:13Speaker 5: like eventually, like you know, probably three people died before
- 22:17Speaker 5: he learned the perfect punching for spine techniques. But you
- 22:21Speaker 5: know that's you can't make an without breaking some eggs, yeah,
- 22:24Speaker 5: or spines in this case.
- 22:26Speaker 2: He's like, I was so fucking close with Aquaman. Just
- 22:29Speaker 2: hold still.
- 22:30Speaker 5: Do you know that there was some fucking chiropractor watching
- 22:33Speaker 5: that movie is like, see see it works?
- 22:37Speaker 4: No it doesn't.
- 22:37Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Oh I thought they would be like, you're making a
- 22:40Speaker 2: mockery of my fine arts.
- 22:42Speaker 3: I hope at least one chiropractor was like, you know what,
- 22:44Speaker 3: fuck it, I'm gonna try that tomorrow. Yeah, someone's getting
- 22:48Speaker 3: the fucking upper cut to the lower spine in the morning.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Let's see what happens.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Prepared to receive the healing fist.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Are you willing to participate in a clinical trial for
- 22:58Speaker 3: a new treatment?
- 23:00Speaker 4: Sign here? Bow all right. Next story, This will be quick.
- 23:05Speaker 3: This is a follow up to a story we've talked
- 23:07Speaker 3: about a lot on this pod, the Fat Leonard scandal.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Well, fat Leonard, lam a lamb, Fat Leonard getting fat
- 23:14Speaker 2: lam a lamb, Fat Lenny on the back, Maamo flat Leonard.
- 23:18Speaker 5: I was gonna go with, hey, fat Leonard. It's fantastic
- 23:22Speaker 5: that there's a lie in this article that just says
- 23:25Speaker 5: fat Leonard known such for his gigantic size, which is
- 23:29Speaker 5: just that's some nice writing there. Thanks for that information.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Yeah. Exposition.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Fat Leonard is a Malaysian contractor who short version of
- 23:42Speaker 3: the story built the Navy out of thirty five million
- 23:46Speaker 3: dollars by bribing naval officers like of the Seventh Fleet,
- 23:52Speaker 3: like the most prestigious of all the naval fleets. He
- 23:55Speaker 3: would bribe them with like secret blowjobs from prostitutes, a
- 24:01Speaker 3: suckling pigs.
- 24:02Speaker 4: You know, who doesn't want a suckling pig?
- 24:04Speaker 3: Sometimes just money, all kinds of favors in exchange for that.
- 24:08Speaker 3: They would give him the fucking routes of military ships
- 24:14Speaker 3: and reroute them to his ports. And when they got
- 24:18Speaker 3: to his ports, he would weigh overcharge for the services
- 24:23Speaker 3: that he rendered to these ships, because when they pull
- 24:25Speaker 3: into port, you have to do shit, you know, maintenance
- 24:27Speaker 3: with ships all the time. He would way way overcharge
- 24:31Speaker 3: for all that shit. And that's how he made all
- 24:34Speaker 3: of this money. Bilking the Navy.
- 24:36Speaker 5: Feel uncomfortable with putting suckling pigs next to blowjobs.
- 24:41Speaker 4: Just yeah, I don't know one in the same wouldn't
- 24:45Speaker 4: surprise me.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Just so, like who has traded just the giant hunk
- 24:49Speaker 2: of flesh for goods and services? Since like Genghis Khan, you.
- 24:53Speaker 5: Know, yeah, I don't feel bad for any situation that
- 24:57Speaker 5: ends with the military, US military and the drial complex
- 25:00Speaker 5: being screwed over. Just yeah.
- 25:03Speaker 2: And to pay my rent this month, four pounds of fat.
- 25:06Speaker 3: Back a bunch of the trials involving the people who
- 25:09Speaker 3: took bribes.
- 25:11Speaker 4: I feel like this.
- 25:11Speaker 3: I mentioned this when we did an update about this
- 25:14Speaker 3: a couple of weeks ago, and I mentioned it then too.
- 25:17Speaker 3: I feel like the government did this part on purpose.
- 25:20Speaker 3: But basically most of these trials, the ones that went
- 25:24Speaker 3: to trial, some people just took plea deals. The ones
- 25:27Speaker 3: that went to trial, the government, the prosecution made all
- 25:31Speaker 3: of these very obvious and seemingly intentional mistakes, to the
- 25:37Speaker 3: point where the judge was like, all right, this fucking
- 25:40Speaker 3: trial is over. You all have to pay one hundred
- 25:44Speaker 3: dollars fines and you get like a month probation.
- 25:47Speaker 4: It's fine.
- 25:48Speaker 5: The shitty lawyer is like hiding a suckling pick at
- 25:51Speaker 5: its jacket like a man.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Well, I feel like the government didn't want this to
- 25:57Speaker 3: really really go to.
- 25:59Speaker 5: Trial because if in the article it says he was extraordinary,
- 26:04Speaker 5: extraordinarily cooperative to a ridiculous degree, which is just like
- 26:09Speaker 5: he was an MVP snitch, which yes, yeah. And also
- 26:13Speaker 5: it was like a thousand people got indicted or he
- 26:16Speaker 5: had like a thousand people that could have gotten indicted,
- 26:18Speaker 5: which that is like a bribery hall of fame, Like
- 26:22Speaker 5: you know, I'm from Chicago. That's ridiculous, Jordan numbers you're
- 26:26Speaker 5: putting in that work like that's Kobe ethic.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Tammany Hall would be proud.
- 26:31Speaker 5: Yeah, when you're bribing at noon, I've been bribing since
- 26:34Speaker 5: four am. That's extra hours you put in that time.
- 26:38Speaker 5: I've had twice as much bribing as you have gotten
- 26:41Speaker 5: into a single day.
- 26:42Speaker 2: I've been bribing so much to call me Joe Briban
- 26:46Speaker 2: and the fucking President of given on bribes.
- 26:48Speaker 5: He's making it rained, but it's just suckling pigs.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Just vibes, giving us some bribe vibes.
- 26:56Speaker 3: So he's been sentenced to fifteen years in prison, but
- 26:59Speaker 3: he's appealing. That's the only update.
- 27:01Speaker 2: The only peel he's ever seen. That fat fucker hates fruit.
- 27:05Speaker 5: I would love if he came out just prison jacked
- 27:08Speaker 5: and they had to change.
- 27:09Speaker 2: It to swool Lener buff Leonard.
- 27:12Speaker 5: Yeah, he's just huge.
- 27:14Speaker 4: He is super tall also, so.
- 27:16Speaker 5: Yeah, he's like six two and three fifty. But I
- 27:18Speaker 5: want that to switch around to like.
- 27:20Speaker 2: This isn't when he comes up big Lenny with a
- 27:22Speaker 2: bunch of Area Nation tattoos.
- 27:25Speaker 3: So yeah, he's also only got eight and a half
- 27:27Speaker 3: years left on his sentence. I bet he's still got
- 27:30Speaker 3: some of that cash. There's no way he doesn't.
- 27:33Speaker 2: It's gid got something in the ceiling, right, these guys like, Okay,
- 27:36Speaker 2: there's a rubber made tub buried in the desert somewhere.
- 27:38Speaker 3: And you know what, I want that for him. I
- 27:40Speaker 3: hope he's still got some of that military money. I'll
- 27:43Speaker 3: take some of it. What do you want me to do?
- 27:45Speaker 4: Military?
- 27:46Speaker 2: And I'm not trying to say anything bribeless.
- 27:50Speaker 3: So, speaking of updates, you know that thing where the
- 27:53Speaker 3: Onion bought Info Wars by way of an auction with
- 27:56Speaker 3: the help of Sandy Hook families, Yeah, that might not
- 28:00Speaker 3: be happening after all.
- 28:03Speaker 2: That's a bummer. This was one of the most like
- 28:06Speaker 2: one to one funny. You know, this was a great
- 28:09Speaker 2: feel of his story. We all needed dead.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I'm not as crazy about it, but
- 28:14Speaker 3: we'll get to it.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Well, because you actually think about the implications of things, Adam.
- 28:18Speaker 2: For me, it would be funny for a few seconds
- 28:20Speaker 2: and I never think about it again, and that would
- 28:21Speaker 2: be fine.
- 28:22Speaker 5: I just like Alex Jones failing that just makes me happy.
- 28:26Speaker 4: Yeah, but that already happened.
- 28:28Speaker 5: Yeah, but I want him to fail harder.
- 28:30Speaker 2: I want him personally to succeed, but his views to
- 28:33Speaker 2: be harshed through very carefully.
- 28:37Speaker 5: I really wanted him to reveal what we're in the
- 28:39Speaker 5: supplements that they got. That would have been fantastic.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 28:44Speaker 3: So what happened is a bidder who was affiliated with
- 28:48Speaker 3: Alex Jones objected to this deal at the last minute
- 28:53Speaker 3: because that bidder, which is First United American Companies, the
- 28:58Speaker 3: only other bidder, actually bid twice as much as the Onion.
- 29:03Speaker 3: At first, the Onion bid one point seventy five million.
- 29:06Speaker 3: This company bid three millions, not quite twice as much
- 29:09Speaker 3: close and eventually, with the help of Sandy Hook families
- 29:13Speaker 3: who promised to pool their resources once the money starts
- 29:17Speaker 3: rolling in from their litigation against Alex Jones, they promised
- 29:21Speaker 3: to put that toward the Onion's bid, and the Onion
- 29:24Speaker 3: was able to increase their bid seven million dollars. The
- 29:27Speaker 3: claim here is that First United American Companies were not
- 29:30Speaker 3: allowed to counter that bid, and now it's going to court.
- 29:35Speaker 3: And it was a whole thing where for a while
- 29:38Speaker 3: Info Wars went down, like it seemed like they were
- 29:42Speaker 3: shut down, and then this happened, and now Alex Jones
- 29:45Speaker 3: is back on Info Wars. He did a whole thing
- 29:48Speaker 3: where he like did a video storming back into the office.
- 29:54Speaker 4: Yeah, it's it's a whole goddamn thing. And here's the thing.
- 29:58Speaker 3: I don't want Alex Jones to seed either, but I
- 30:00Speaker 3: also don't want the Onion to buy info wars. I
- 30:04Speaker 3: want the Left to come up with some sort of
- 30:07Speaker 3: resistance that isn't just jokes, and we don't have that
- 30:12Speaker 3: in any capacity. We got jokes and retweets. That's what
- 30:16Speaker 3: we got right now.
- 30:18Speaker 2: And all those pithy salons did so much to stop
- 30:21Speaker 2: the rise of Hitler. What although that's a quote from something,
- 30:24Speaker 2: it's like all those pithy salons did so much to
- 30:26Speaker 2: stop the rise of Hitler. Like, yeah, we all mean
- 30:27Speaker 2: these dumb ass, fucking jokes, but it was like people
- 30:30Speaker 2: actually seizing power behind the scenes while you weren't paying attention.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Yeah that's the thing, Like this shit's not really funny anymore.
- 30:37Speaker 4: And I don't know. I mean, I.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Guess the Onion's gonna try, but they're just going to
- 30:42Speaker 3: be making fun of people who are like winning right now,
- 30:46Speaker 3: Like we're just gonna laugh about it while the country
- 30:49Speaker 3: goes up in fucking flames. And I get it. It's
- 30:52Speaker 3: what the Onion does it's what it's what we do.
- 30:54Speaker 3: But I don't know, I don't know. I'm not in favor.
- 30:58Speaker 2: I mean, what if they rebranded and make it exactly
- 31:01Speaker 2: what you're talking about, like a left wing, a left
- 31:03Speaker 2: wing in info Wars with better research or what you know.
- 31:05Speaker 5: It would be great if they took info Wars and
- 31:08Speaker 5: they just made it as like a fact checking thing,
- 31:10Speaker 5: like legitimately just fact checked every.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Single or on information. Yeah, that would be really yeah.
- 31:15Speaker 5: Like it actually lived up to the name info Wars, like.
- 31:17Speaker 2: It was always a cool name. No one ever thought
- 31:20Speaker 2: the name wasn't cool.
- 31:22Speaker 5: Great name, yeah, yeah, no, fantastic branding, but like, yeah,
- 31:24Speaker 5: that would be great if it was just completely just
- 31:28Speaker 5: straight up most boring fact checking, like just a nerd
- 31:31Speaker 5: with his nose in a book. Just Nope, that's inaccurate. Nope,
- 31:34Speaker 5: that's inaccurate. Nope, that's inaccurate.
- 31:37Speaker 2: That's a mallard, not a duck.
- 31:40Speaker 5: Yeah, they start to get really really pedantic.
- 31:44Speaker 4: So yeah, we'll see how that goes. This episode.
- 31:47Speaker 3: We're recording at least a week in advance, and I
- 31:50Speaker 3: think there will be a decision on this by Monday,
- 31:53Speaker 3: So this could be completely old fucking news by the
- 31:57Speaker 3: time people hear this, all right, these last two stories,
- 32:01Speaker 3: the fucking Sean Combe's situation.
- 32:04Speaker 2: It's so weird to call him that.
- 32:05Speaker 5: Oh is there something happening with Diddy?
- 32:07Speaker 4: Man?
- 32:08Speaker 3: I am fascinated by how this is going to turn out,
- 32:12Speaker 3: because here's the thing I'm getting strong Jeffrey Epstein vibes.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Oh yeah, But.
- 32:18Speaker 3: Unlike Jeffrey Epstein's collaborators, I feel like we're gonna get
- 32:23Speaker 3: names and maybe lawsuits and arrests out of this. I
- 32:28Speaker 3: don't know what the difference is between Jeffrey Epstein's band
- 32:33Speaker 3: of pedophiles and Ditty's.
- 32:36Speaker 4: That might make it different. I don't know. I couldn't
- 32:39Speaker 4: put my face.
- 32:39Speaker 2: I think I think they might name names up to
- 32:42Speaker 2: like Trey Songs level, but anybody more famous might be protected.
- 32:46Speaker 5: I think there's a very obvious visual difference between Epstein
- 32:51Speaker 5: and Ditty's. Oh yeah, yeah, No, is that?
- 32:55Speaker 2: It?
- 32:55Speaker 5: Is that what you're That's what I was getting. Yeah,
- 32:59Speaker 5: I mean, there's a reason Kelly is in jail, and
- 33:03Speaker 5: I'm trying to think of is there ever been a
- 33:06Speaker 5: white musician who has ever done what R Kelly did?
- 33:08Speaker 5: Hmm hmmm, No.
- 33:10Speaker 4: I don't think so.
- 33:12Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, Well it's that tweet where it's like listening
- 33:15Speaker 5: to a seventies rock song where it's like hey girl, oh,
- 33:19Speaker 5: they mean like girl, like hey little girl, oh, because
- 33:23Speaker 5: she's like tiny, hey, little girl, young enough to be
- 33:27Speaker 5: in grade school.
- 33:28Speaker 3: And like yeah, yeah, there's so many seventies rock songs
- 33:33Speaker 3: about having sex with tweens and shit.
- 33:36Speaker 5: And now ted nugents.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I was just gonna say, and now most of
- 33:39Speaker 3: them are Trump supporters. Anyway, the Diddy sex abuse case,
- 33:44Speaker 3: this shit just keeps getting more and more interesting. Last
- 33:47Speaker 3: week we learned somehow prosecutors had gotten their hands on
- 33:51Speaker 3: handwritten notes from inside his jail cell that showed he'd
- 33:56Speaker 3: been contacting witnesses and was planning to try and pay
- 34:01Speaker 3: them off or dig up dirt on them to compel
- 34:04Speaker 3: them not to testify.
- 34:06Speaker 4: And there was a pre planned suitep.
- 34:09Speaker 3: Of jail cells at the facility he's being held at,
- 34:13Speaker 3: and surprised they found these notes of his someone took
- 34:17Speaker 3: pictures of them and sent them to the prosecution, and
- 34:21Speaker 3: the prosecution I feel like I've at least watched enough
- 34:26Speaker 3: legal procedurals to know you can't use that evidence. That's
- 34:30Speaker 3: not how you get evidence, you don't take it from
- 34:32Speaker 3: someone's sell and take pictures of it and send it
- 34:35Speaker 3: the prosecution. That's essentially like breaking in to someone's shit.
- 34:39Speaker 3: And the judge, it.
- 34:41Speaker 4: Seems, for now, has agreed with that stance.
- 34:45Speaker 3: That was also the defense's stance, which was, hey, you know,
- 34:49Speaker 3: in the Constitution it says we're not subject to unreasonable
- 34:52Speaker 3: searches and seizures and things of the like, and their
- 34:56Speaker 3: contention is that that's what this is. Also that what
- 35:00Speaker 3: they took is protected by attorney client privilege. So the
- 35:04Speaker 3: judge has ordered them to destroy the notes and not
- 35:09Speaker 3: factor them into their work going forward until they decide
- 35:13Speaker 3: on whether they can actually use them.
- 35:16Speaker 4: Crazy.
- 35:17Speaker 2: You got to wonder if they like leake the evidence
- 35:20Speaker 2: in order to contaminate it, you know, so that they
- 35:22Speaker 2: couldn't use it.
- 35:24Speaker 5: I feel like if I don't feel like this is
- 35:26Speaker 5: going to make a huge amount of difference considering the
- 35:29Speaker 5: tons of a good point.
- 35:32Speaker 2: Yeah, it seems to be hours of video and you.
- 35:35Speaker 5: Know, yeah, this is like complaining about not getting parsely
- 35:38Speaker 5: on your fucking postaition. It's like I didn't need that
- 35:41Speaker 5: at all. No, that's that's fine, you know.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Yeah, the trial starts May fifth, and boy, am I
- 35:49Speaker 3: interested to see how that goes.
- 35:51Speaker 4: That is you think he's gonna make it.
- 35:53Speaker 5: It's a trial, I.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Mean, I mean I can't prognosticate.
- 36:00Speaker 3: Yeah, Like I can't say one way or the other.
- 36:04Speaker 3: It's the American prison system. Someone can kill him if
- 36:08Speaker 3: they want to.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:09Speaker 5: I feel like if anybody could get gott in prison,
- 36:11Speaker 5: it probably would be Dy considering the amount of people
- 36:16Speaker 5: that just don't like him.
- 36:18Speaker 4: So he's got a lot of money though.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:21Speaker 3: But also on the flip side of that is Tony Buzzby.
- 36:25Speaker 3: He's a lawyer who has filed civil claims on behalf
- 36:28Speaker 3: of one hundred and twenty victims of Sean Combe's and
- 36:34Speaker 3: now someone who is so far only described as a
- 36:38Speaker 3: powerful man has sued Tony Buzzby accusing him of extortion.
- 36:43Speaker 5: I'm familiar with Tony Busby very much so, being near
- 36:47Speaker 5: the Houston area.
- 36:49Speaker 4: Oh, is he a Houston lawyer?
- 36:51Speaker 5: He's a Houston lawyer. So just because I want you're
- 36:54Speaker 5: gonna go into some stuff, but I kind of want
- 36:56Speaker 5: to set a little background on Tony Buzby. Tony Busby
- 36:58Speaker 5: is the lawyer who who brought the case against Deshaun Watson,
- 37:02Speaker 5: so he has a big legal toe hold in sex
- 37:06Speaker 5: cases like this. He's also the person behind the Travis
- 37:10Speaker 5: Scott lawsuit for Astroworld, so this isn't his first rodeo
- 37:17Speaker 5: when it comes to this. He's also insane because he
- 37:20Speaker 5: has a lot of property and he had a huge
- 37:22Speaker 5: argument that he had a tank parked in front of
- 37:25Speaker 5: one of his properties, like an actual tank, and they
- 37:28Speaker 5: had to keep finding him until he moved it to Texarcana.
- 37:31Speaker 5: So he's kind of a crazy Texas lawyer guy.
- 37:35Speaker 3: I like tank Sarcana. Why does he only sue black people?
- 37:39Speaker 3: A fuck, Tony Buzzby. There's no white people out there
- 37:42Speaker 3: committing sexual assaults.
- 37:43Speaker 5: I was going to try to think of something to
- 37:45Speaker 5: argue against that, But he also represented that fucking piece
- 37:48Speaker 5: of shit can passed in against his impeachment thing who
- 37:51Speaker 5: is a very white man.
- 37:53Speaker 3: So on, Tony, well back to this powerful man. What
- 37:58Speaker 3: they're claiming is that he sent a with quote entirely
- 38:01Speaker 3: fabricated and malicious allegations of sexual assault in an attempt
- 38:06Speaker 3: to force a private settlement. The lawsuit says Buzzby's letter
- 38:10Speaker 3: included wildly false, horrific allegations claiming the man quote raped
- 38:15Speaker 3: multiple miners both male and female, who had been drugged
- 38:18Speaker 3: at parties hosted by Combs. Also claims Buzzby threatened to
- 38:22Speaker 3: take a different course if they didn't make a private settlement,
- 38:26Speaker 3: and they took that to mean that he was going
- 38:29Speaker 3: to go public, make more public statements, and report them
- 38:33Speaker 3: to the FBI. The FBI part, it turns out, is
- 38:35Speaker 3: super important. Apparently letters like this are very common. It's
- 38:38Speaker 3: called a demand letter. And when there's a situation like this,
- 38:42Speaker 3: the lawyer fires off a letter and says, hey, we
- 38:44Speaker 3: don't want to go to court, right, why don't we
- 38:46Speaker 3: just settle this? And that's perfectly legal. We'll link to
- 38:51Speaker 3: this Rolling Stone article. They talked to a lawyer, you know,
- 38:55Speaker 3: legal expert, and what they said is basically, you can
- 38:59Speaker 3: send those letters that standard, but you can't end it
- 39:02Speaker 3: with or will tell the cops or or we'll report
- 39:06Speaker 3: you to the FBI. That is the part that if
- 39:09Speaker 3: Tony Busby did that, then yes, this is actually extortion.
- 39:14Speaker 4: But if that's not in this letter, this is actually
- 39:17Speaker 4: just like.
- 39:17Speaker 5: That's why I think it's bullshit. Like I said, this
- 39:20Speaker 5: is the guy who has gotten like twenty three settlements
- 39:23Speaker 5: out of Deshaun Watson, So it's not like I don't
- 39:26Speaker 5: think he's on the level of trial lawsuit lawyer where
- 39:30Speaker 5: he clearly knows the law enough not to be stupid
- 39:33Speaker 5: enough to try this type of thing. So that's why
- 39:37Speaker 5: I'm gonna call bullshit on this.
- 39:39Speaker 3: Yeah, it seems like someone who has enough money to
- 39:42Speaker 3: file a lawsuit just to get Tony Buzzby extortionist in
- 39:47Speaker 3: fucking search results.
- 39:49Speaker 4: Yeah, but yeah.
- 39:50Speaker 3: Tony Buzby, for his part, he called it a last
- 39:54Speaker 3: ditch attempt to stop me from revealing names in public lawsuits,
- 39:58Speaker 3: and then added it won't work. This is so goddamn exciting.
- 40:03Speaker 3: I want names in lawsuits. And what's especially exciting is
- 40:09Speaker 3: Tony Buzby has said, well, now that this happened, now
- 40:12Speaker 3: that I got sued for doing normal lawyer shit and
- 40:16Speaker 3: keeping it anonymous, now we're just gonna reveal who we
- 40:19Speaker 3: send these demand letters to going forward. So it's all
- 40:22Speaker 3: on the up and up, and I bet that's not
- 40:25Speaker 3: the outcome motherfuckers wanted.
- 40:26Speaker 4: Also, is this jay Z.
- 40:28Speaker 5: I'm gonna say no. I know you're saying it's jay Z,
- 40:30Speaker 5: but I don't think Jay Z's weird enough where he
- 40:33Speaker 5: would just call himself a celeb, like I feel like
- 40:36Speaker 5: his ego would be, and I think he's smarter than that.
- 40:39Speaker 3: In defense, I don't know that he's the one calling
- 40:42Speaker 3: himself a celebrity.
- 40:44Speaker 5: I think they said that, they that he called himself
- 40:47Speaker 5: a person of interest in a celebrity, like in the
- 40:51Speaker 5: depsit or whatever. I think it's Ashton Kutcher, really, Ashton
- 40:55Speaker 5: Kutcher hangs out with Diddy. Ashton Kutcher has a bunch
- 40:58Speaker 5: of scumbag friends like wil Der, vaud Brama and Danny
- 41:02Speaker 5: Masterson and is a weirdo, so I could and I
- 41:07Speaker 5: could see him calling himself a celebrity.
- 41:09Speaker 2: And what is assault if not a really extreme form
- 41:12Speaker 2: of being punked.
- 41:15Speaker 3: The only reason I bring up jay Z is there
- 41:18Speaker 3: was a singer named Jaguar Wright went on Pierce Morgan's
- 41:23Speaker 3: YouTube show and just straight up said jay Z is
- 41:27Speaker 3: part of this and that jay Z is a fucking
- 41:31Speaker 3: pedophile and jay Z and Beyonce's legal team fucking sent
- 41:36Speaker 3: the cavalry after Pierce Morgan and that motherfucker edited the
- 41:40Speaker 3: episode to remove those claims and like publicly apologized.
- 41:45Speaker 5: Wow, it's gonna be crazy if it just ends up.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Being Mace, if it's just Mace after all this time.
- 41:52Speaker 5: Just ends up being Mace, Like, yeah.
- 41:55Speaker 2: So you know they favorite something's on the Internet, It's
- 41:57Speaker 2: up there forever. It's like Deyonce literally has enough money
- 42:00Speaker 2: and take shit off of the Internet.
- 42:02Speaker 5: Beyonce could just buy the Internet, like the whole thing.
- 42:06Speaker 2: If she wanted to take away lemonade from us, she
- 42:07Speaker 2: could probably get it to like only a few people
- 42:09Speaker 2: would have the empty threes.
- 42:11Speaker 4: Doesn't jay Z actually have more money?
- 42:13Speaker 2: I don't, I haven't.
- 42:14Speaker 4: You know.
- 42:14Speaker 2: I stopped keeping track because a Beyonce wasn't answering my DMS.
- 42:19Speaker 4: He's like an actual billionaire. I know that much.
- 42:22Speaker 5: Yeah, it's not a Tom Brady Giselle situation, Like, yeah,
- 42:26Speaker 5: they're probably on equal footing.
- 42:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 42:28Speaker 3: I like Beyonce had that line in that song because
- 42:31Speaker 3: there was that video of Solange like slapping jay Z.
- 42:35Speaker 5: Oh she doesn't. She kicked the shit out of him.
- 42:38Speaker 5: She was throwing like, she was throwing legs like it
- 42:41Speaker 5: was a fucking cage back. She knew how to. She
- 42:43Speaker 5: went down trying to stop his ground game.
- 42:45Speaker 3: I just liked that Beyonce had a song where she
- 42:48Speaker 3: addressed that, and she said, of course shit goes down
- 42:51Speaker 3: when there's a billion dollars on the elevator.
- 42:54Speaker 2: I like that line too.
- 42:55Speaker 3: Yeah, and my follow up line is how much of
- 42:57Speaker 3: that was Solange's like six hundred thirty seven dollars?
- 43:01Speaker 2: Probably she probably get six hundred and thirty seven.
- 43:03Speaker 4: K Yeah, probably.
- 43:06Speaker 5: You know. Afterwards, she was just like, you're a great sister.
- 43:08Speaker 3: Like, yeah, here's the thing. Solange makes better albums. Though,
- 43:12Speaker 3: we don't have to dwell on it.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Fellas, fell as, fellas calm down with this. Just Solange
- 43:16Speaker 2: takes it's too much exactly.
- 43:18Speaker 4: I just I didn't want it to get heated, So
- 43:20Speaker 4: lets him through it.
- 43:21Speaker 5: What if it's Rick Rubin.
- 43:23Speaker 4: What if it's Rick Ross?
- 43:25Speaker 2: Okay, I was actually I read a profile of on
- 43:29Speaker 2: him on a cardnews dot com. He's just getting kind
- 43:33Speaker 2: of a lifetime Achievement award.
- 43:35Speaker 5: Well, if it's Rick Ross, I feel like he could
- 43:36Speaker 5: get to Diddy because of his fucking uh correctional officer connections,
- 43:41Speaker 5: which he keeps trying to hide.
- 43:43Speaker 4: So yeah, the pictures out there, dude, just embrace it.
- 43:47Speaker 5: Oh man, What if it's Drake. Drake would be the
- 43:50Speaker 5: most like, oh, I just you'd instantly believe that, like.
- 43:54Speaker 4: Yeah, no, yeah, Drake, I wouldn't.
- 43:57Speaker 5: I think Kendrick Lamar would just explod with joy if
- 44:01Speaker 5: you heard that, like oh yeah, yeah, he would just
- 44:04Speaker 5: be he'd laugh himself to death like that fucking weasel
- 44:07Speaker 5: and uh who framed drive Rabbit.
- 44:10Speaker 3: Oh Also, Buzzbea claims he has already settled a bunch
- 44:14Speaker 3: of cases by way of these demand letters and said
- 44:17Speaker 3: that those cases quote involve people, you know.
- 44:20Speaker 5: I mean, like I say, you got his clients paid
- 44:23Speaker 5: with the Shawn Watson, So this isn't his first man dealing.
- 44:27Speaker 4: With the Shawn Watson should have just like not done that.
- 44:32Speaker 5: Deshaun Watson is the only injury where I heard nobody
- 44:35Speaker 5: feeling bad for him when he tore his achilles, Like
- 44:38Speaker 5: everyone's just like.
- 44:39Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, so yeah, we'll see how this unfolds.
- 44:45Speaker 4: I've been following this fucking Diddy case. Uh, I mean
- 44:48Speaker 4: everyone has been, probably, but.
- 44:50Speaker 5: May is a long time it is.
- 44:53Speaker 4: Yeah, well we'll see Goes. I'm sure he'll be fine.
- 44:56Speaker 5: Yeah for sure. Yeah, nothing will happen.
- 44:58Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, so hey that's our episode. Logan Connor, thank
- 45:02Speaker 3: you both for doing the pod. I appreciate it. We
- 45:04Speaker 3: are fresh off of talking about heinous sexual assault allegations
- 45:09Speaker 3: that are probably mostly true, and that makes this a
- 45:12Speaker 3: perfect time to plug some shit. I have a solo
- 45:15Speaker 3: podcast called in Broad Daylight that you should listen to.
- 45:18Speaker 3: Just listen to WNBA my podcast with Logan Trent and

- 45:53Speaker 5: So yeah. Also, you know I mentioned this on other podcasts,
- 45:56Speaker 5: don't commit genocide. Three of us have not committed genocide.
- 45:59Speaker 5: This entire part pretty easy thing. So yeah, although Connor
- 46:03Speaker 5: did go check the door, so I don't know if
- 46:05Speaker 5: that was genocide related.
- 46:06Speaker 3: But yeah, and like you can't see my lower half,
- 46:10Speaker 3: like you don't know what I'm doing?
- 46:11Speaker 5: Oh yeah, no, you could be just typing out toes instructions, Rea.
- 46:15Speaker 4: Directing the troops, Connor, what do you got to plub.
