- 0:28Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:31So I wanna talk to you today about back of things are rarely
- 0:35what they seem to be and this brings us back to always asking
- 0:40better questions because if we're not asking the right
- 0:42questions, we can never figure out exactly what is happening
- 0:46and why things are not the way they seem to be.
- 0:49So I've had a lot of personal experiences with this in my life
- 0:53and recently it came up again. So I was like, you know, I'm
- 0:55going to share this. Few years back I lost touch with
- 0:59somebody that I cared about a lot and it just it just
- 1:04happened. No need to know the details.
- 1:06Doesn't make a difference about what the details seemingly were
- 1:10because they were really not the same details anyway, because
- 1:14what I, you know, surmised. In that moment was not the
- 1:19truth. And then all of a sudden I was
- 1:22able to find out again through Facebook, which is so awesome
- 1:28about, you know, people complain about social media a lot, but
- 1:31there are lots of ways that you can reconnect with people
- 1:33through it. And that's exactly what
- 1:35happened. We reconnected through Facebook
- 1:37and ended up having some really great conversation on the phone
- 1:42and realized that both of us thought something that wasn't
- 1:46true. Both of us.
- 1:47Had something that wasn't true and it was mind blowing to both
- 1:52of us that we were able to have this like distinction and come
- 1:56back to it. Now what's so important about
- 1:59this? Well, what's so important about
- 2:01it is not holding on to the idea or the beliefs that you what
- 2:06you're believing in the moment is right because it comes back
- 2:10to the maybe. Everything always comes back to
- 2:12the maybe. Can be what you surmise in that
- 2:15moment? Sure, maybe, But it might be
- 2:17something else. Could it be something completely
- 2:20different than you even thought of?
- 2:22Absolutely, because our brains can only process through the
- 2:26perspective that we allow them to see, which means we are
- 2:29limiting ourselves on a regular basis because we don't
- 2:32necessarily have that ability to always see something if we don't
- 2:37know. It's kind of like if I say to
- 2:38you, hey, I need you to do some form of math that you've never
- 2:42done before, you'd be like. I don't know.
- 2:45I've never done that before. It's the same thing in this
- 2:48situation. It's more about having that
- 2:51ability to be wide open and say I don't know what I don't know.
- 2:54So fundamentally it's it is all about us being willing and open
- 3:01to possibilities and living in that place of maybe, where not
- 3:05maybe where. Maybe I'll do it, maybe I won't.
- 3:08Not that kind of maybe. But maybe I don't know what I
- 3:11don't know. Maybe.
- 3:13It's something else. Maybe there's another way to
- 3:15think of this. Maybe I can see this in a
- 3:17different light, because that's what it always comes back to,
- 3:20the ability to be able to function in a different
- 3:23headspace, seeing it in a different way.
- 3:26And when you do that, everything becomes different.
- 3:29Everything becomes different. You give yourself the the open
- 3:34space to attract different things, and it's hard to go to.
- 3:39Maybe because you want an answer.
- 3:41And as human beings. We want certainty.
- 3:44We want to know we're right. We want to know we've got it
- 3:47nailed down. We want all those things.
- 3:49But the truth is that's really hard and it it really is right
- 3:54Most of the time when we pick something and we do something,
- 3:57it's not exactly what we thought it was going to be.
- 4:00So my point is. In all of this and really
- 4:05hunkering down in your belief system, recognizing that in
- 4:08yourself. And now I know for myself, you
- 4:10if you're a regular listener, you know how much I love
- 4:13certainty. Because I am a certainty freak
- 4:16and I know that about myself. And I have to be cautious and
- 4:19conscientious of how that controls my life because it's
- 4:23not fun when you get stuck in that.
- 4:25But I do know it does take place.
- 4:27So because I know it takes place, I can fix it if I choose
- 4:30to. And.
- 4:32Often times choosing to do it is a difficult thing, but it all
- 4:36comes back to well, I can just incorporate the maybe and if I
- 4:41have the maybe frame in my head then I can do it a little bit
- 4:46better. I don't have to be so rigid, I
- 4:48can have the possibility. So I'm just asking to just
- 4:53incorporate the maybe because when you do that.
- 4:57Things open up. You find gems again.
- 4:59You find friends that you've lost.
- 5:00You find people that have changed.
- 5:03You find lots of things that happen.
- 5:05So all I'm saying is allow yourself to have that little
- 5:08gift of adding the maybe in and watch your world change.
- 5:12All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and I'll
- 5:14see you tomorrow. Bye.
