• 5:15
  SPEAKER_00: Mr.
• 5:15
SPEAKER_00: Heitzman is almost spot on because this car sold for$24,675.
• 5:23

• 5:42
  SPEAKER_00: 2006 Cadillac XLR.
• 5:46
  SPEAKER_00: It's a convertible, it's a two-seater.
• 5:48
SPEAKER_00: I've always liked this car.
• 5:50
SPEAKER_00: It for me, it was a perfect fit, and um it rode great, and it was a Cadillac, so it had those catalogs.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's a convertible, it's black.
• 6:01
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I thought it was a really nice looking car there.

• 6:25
SPEAKER_00: So it's probably a low mileage, really nice one.
• 6:28
SPEAKER_00: Um, I would certainly consider that.
• 6:31
SPEAKER_00: Considering the price of new cars these days, 26,000.

• 6:51
SPEAKER_00: I'm not sure whether or not the I don't know the con the conviction of the owner uh whether he's tried to keep it stock or what, but it's a pretty good looking car if you're into this.

• 14:44
  SPEAKER_00: Why?
• 14:45
SPEAKER_00: You got guys that have made their way through the car industry, they know the mistakes that are made.
• 14:50
SPEAKER_00: Why are you going outside and paying them ridiculous amounts of money?
• 14:54

• 14:55
SPEAKER_02: It's the name recognition, and look where I've got you from.
• 14:58

• 16:17

• 16:21
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.

  SPEAKER_00: All right.
• 16:22

• 22:18
  SPEAKER_02: Be careful.
• 22:18
SPEAKER_00: Toyota Motor Company, Hyundai Motor Company, and Chinese automakers face mounting risks from a prolonged Iran conflict with disrupted shipments and rising oil prices, threatening to crash auto sales far beyond the Middle East, according to Bernstein Equity Research.
• 22:35
SPEAKER_00: This is from automotive news.
• 22:36
SPEAKER_00: Global operations of international automakers showed limited impact so far, but Asian brands have an outsized presence in the Middle East, according to the report by Bernstein.
• 22:49
SPEAKER_00: Toyota accounts for 17% of Middle East regional sales.
• 22:52
  SPEAKER_00: I didn't know that.
• 22:55
SPEAKER_00: And Cheery for 5%, according to Bernstein's March 4th analysis.
• 22:59
SPEAKER_00: Inside Iran, Chinese players, including Cheery, Jinghua, Hainan, and Ching He are the main international players.
• 23:09
SPEAKER_00: I don't even know how to pronounce that.
• 23:12
SPEAKER_00: Established global brand global brands are mostly absent from Iran due to sanctions.
• 23:16
SPEAKER_00: Iran is the biggest automotive market in the region, accounting for more than 38% of its 3 million sales last year.
• 23:25
SPEAKER_00: Among European automakers, Stellantis faces heavy impact from the conflict.
• 23:30
SPEAKER_00: Its pain point stems mostly from the threat of rising gasoline prices due to curtailed oil shipments.
• 23:50
SPEAKER_00: Uh from the 298 average price a week earlier.
• 23:53
SPEAKER_00: Gasoline prices have also taken big jumps in Europe.
• 23:57
SPEAKER_00: And I I saw a guy yesterday on TV that said it's not the supply.
• 24:02
SPEAKER_00: We've got plenty of supply, but we do have a problem with the confidence that the Straits of Hormuz are going to be affected.
• 24:13
SPEAKER_00: Clearly they are because it basically shut down.
• 24:16
SPEAKER_00: And 15% of the global oil market comes through the Strait of Hormuz.
• 24:21
SPEAKER_02: I get that, but we also now we are the leader.
• 24:24
SPEAKER_02: We have the most, and they just uh have oil coming out of Venezuela.
• 24:28
SPEAKER_00: You know what ticks me off?
• 24:30
SPEAKER_00: What really ticks me off is that the gasoline that's in the ground at the pump today was bought weeks ago.
• 24:40
SPEAKER_00: Well, why am I having to pay for it's called the futures market?
• 24:44
  SPEAKER_00: Well, it sucks.
• 24:45
  SPEAKER_00: Tell them that.
• 24:46
  SPEAKER_00: Well, that's the reason.
• 24:47
SPEAKER_00: Tell them John Armstrong said that.
• 24:49
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you're right, but that's the reason Wall Street is acting so goofy.
• 24:53
  unknown: Yeah, I know.
• 24:54
  SPEAKER_01: They're speculating.
• 24:56
SPEAKER_00: Big regional sellers such as uh Toyota or Hyundai could feel this pinch, so might might producers of exotics and high-end sports cars such as Ferrari.
• 25:05
SPEAKER_00: Finally, there's disruption from rising pump prices due to interrupted oil tanker movement through the Strait of Hormuz.
• 25:12
SPEAKER_00: Higher crude prices could negatively affect automakers such as Toyota.
• 25:16
SPEAKER_00: I don't even want to read any more of that.
• 25:17
SPEAKER_00: Just all it does is tick me off.
• 25:19
SPEAKER_01: It's the same stuff over and over.
• 25:20
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know.
• 25:21
SPEAKER_00: Uh hey, Ford and GM rivalry is taking a new turn.
• 25:27
SPEAKER_00: Oh, I thought you could see they're merging.
• 25:29
SPEAKER_00: Right in right into a Formula One racetrack.
• 25:33
SPEAKER_00: I've got oh well, you go.
• 25:34
SPEAKER_00: The American Auto Giants are newly invested in the sport.
• 25:38
SPEAKER_00: GM through the new Cadillac Formula One team, F1, and Ford via its new engine partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing and the competition, which begins this weekend with F1's first 2026 race in Australia, is as much about winning over regular car buyers as excelling on the high-speed circuit.
• 25:59
SPEAKER_00: And look no further than how Cadillac revealed its race car's visual identity, known as a livery.
• 26:06
SPEAKER_00: Instead of only targeting F1 aficionados, the brand debuted its look to an audience of more than 125 million viewers with a Super Bowl ad from Translation.
• 26:16
SPEAKER_00: That's the name of the company.
• 26:17
SPEAKER_00: He quickly followed that by taking a starring role in an Apple shot on iPhone campaign.
• 26:23
SPEAKER_00: Ford is similarly heralding its F1 investment with mass marketing.
• 26:27
SPEAKER_00: Today it debuted a new campaign from Whedon Kennedy.
• 26:31
SPEAKER_00: Every ground is our proving ground that promotes its Oracle Redditable racing partnership as well as its involvement in off-road racing.
• 26:39
SPEAKER_00: One ad merges, super slow-motion close-ups of racing teams with breakneck racing footage.
• 26:45
SPEAKER_00: Look for it on a TV screen near you.
• 26:48
SPEAKER_02: Well, Alpine and Calac's going to have a Ferrari, but Alpine's going to be part of the uh, I guess, engineering on it as well.
• 26:54
SPEAKER_02: So that's a lot of neat stuff coming.
• 26:56
SPEAKER_02: And I've got some more about F1 later, but go ahead.
• 26:59
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 26:59
SPEAKER_00: And the last story here General Motors restructuring how its U.S.
• 27:02
  SPEAKER_00: dealers sell used vehicles.
• 27:09
SPEAKER_00: And the automaker said March 3rd, it is dissolving a long-standing program that helps its dealerships sell used cars with GM-backed warranties.
• 27:16
SPEAKER_00: Instead, it's asking retailers to move their pre-owned vehicle operations under GM's Car Bravo brand.
• 27:24
SPEAKER_00: A national online site it launched in 2023.
• 27:28
SPEAKER_00: Starting in June, Chevy, Buick, and GMC dealers will sign on to Car Bravo to sell used GM vehicles with factory-backed warranties.
• 27:37
SPEAKER_00: Its fourth brand, the Luxury Cadillac Line, will continue to use GM's traditional certified pre-owned program.
• 27:44
SPEAKER_00: So even the used cars are feeling the pinch these days.
• 27:47
SPEAKER_00: The pinch is being that they're selling more of them, and GM wants to cash in on that.
• 27:53
SPEAKER_00: Hey, we'd love to hear from you.
• 27:54
  SPEAKER_00: Shoot us an email.
