In episode 62 we go into a howe in Iceland, where the dead were not trusted to stay dead. This is episode 62 the draugr. The older myth beside it is aptrganga, the one who walks after. Another is haugbúi, the howe-dweller. The ground is the sagas, not a later dressing. The Grettis saga gives us Glámr. The Eyrbyggja saga gives us the dead of Fróðá, sued out of the house at a door-court. Thorolf Halt-Foot is dug up still undecayed. These are medieval Icelandic tellings. The Norwegian draug of later fishing folklore, a sea-dead in oilskins, is a cousin, not a copy.
