Transcript
- 0:09Hello and welcome to a special bonus episode of Fraggle Talk
- 0:13Back to the Rock, the unofficial Fraggle Rock podcast brought to
- 0:17you by toughpigs.com. This is usually the podcast
- 0:20where we talk about Fraggle Rock Back to the Rock, along with all
- 0:23the talented folks who helped put the show together.
- 0:26I am your host, silly creature Joe Hennes.
- 0:29This month, the Jim Menson Company is sending the Fraggles
- 0:32into the real world with Fraggle Rock Back to the Rock live.
- 0:36The tour, which kicks off on January 18th, zigzags across the
- 0:39United States and Canada over the course of four months and
- 0:42hopefully coming to a town near you.
- 0:44Joining me to talk about this event series is the show's
- 0:47writer, director, choreographer and voice actor John Tartaglia.
- 0:52Hello, John. Hi, Joe.
- 0:54Hi, everybody. So excited to talk to you about
- 0:58this. It's such a a treat to get to
- 1:01geek out about something fraggly beyond just the show, and I'm
- 1:05sure that everyone has a ton of questions about what's Fraggle
- 1:08Rock Live is going to entail. So first of all, let's start
- 1:13with the big question, which is what is Fraggle Rock?
- 1:17Back to the Rock Live. It is a live experience with the
- 1:23Fraggles. It's kind of I would say it's in
- 1:25the vein of those classic, you know, these characters are going
- 1:29on tour stage shows. And the real hope was to for the
- 1:34first time in 40 something years, bring these characters
- 1:37into, you know, the hometowns of of kids and parents and all
- 1:41Fraggle fans. So, you know, it was kind of it
- 1:46was amazing to me that in, you know, 40 something years of
- 1:49Fraggle, you know, love that has existed that that they've never
- 1:51gone on tour before. And so it would seem like the
- 1:54perfect time to do this with, you know, back to the rock, you
- 1:57know, in its second season and all the love we've gotten for
- 1:59that. And then now there's this brand
- 2:02new generation of kids that are growing up with Fraggle Rock,
- 2:04you know, in addition to all of us fans.
- 2:06So it just felt like the right time to to finally do this.
- 2:10You're right, that's it's an interesting thing that there's
- 2:11been obviously Sesame Street live and even the Muppet Show
- 2:15live, you know, way back in the day, but never a Fraggle Rock
- 2:19show. That's pretty exciting.
- 2:21You get to be like the first ones to really bring that to
- 2:24life. Yeah, I think, you know, it's in
- 2:26talking to like Karen Pearl and folks like that.
- 2:29I think that there was a real once originally to, you know,
- 2:32keep the the lore as much as possible, you know, and not put
- 2:36the fraggles out on the road in our in our world.
- 2:38But I think now people really want to connect with these
- 2:40characters. They really want to see them if
- 2:42they want to meet them, you know, and I think with the new
- 2:45series, it's kind of got even more of a up for for our
- 2:49youngest audience members. It's got, you know, a real need
- 2:51to connect with these characters and to get that hug red Fraggle.
- 2:55I get to wave to Moki and get to, you know, laugh along with
- 2:58Wembley live. And I think also right now we
- 3:00all need live theater. We these live, you know,
- 3:03experiences for community and connection, which is also what
- 3:06the show's all about. So it just kind of felt like the
- 3:08perfect opportunity to bring Fraggle fans together, new and
- 3:13old, and to really celebrate the, the incredible music in the
- 3:17show and, and the fact that the Fraggles work really well.
- 3:21They're they're, they've always been so comedy jam packed and I
- 3:25feel like getting to laugh together in the theater at the
- 3:27Fraggles with them. It's just it's a very special
- 3:29thing that we think we all kind of need in 2025.
- 3:32Oh my God I couldn't agree more. I mean just generally speaking
- 3:35we need more fraggles in 2025. But but.
- 3:38You're right. Getting to see them live, you
- 3:41know, not just streaming or on DVD or Blu-ray, it's, it's such
- 3:47a treat to get to kind of evolve our, our love of the Fraggles
- 3:51this year in that way. What was the, the impetus for
- 3:55this idea? Who who started the whole like,
- 3:57hey, maybe we should do a a live show?
- 4:00Well, this is going to shock you, Joe, but I am a squeaky
- 4:03wheel sometimes. And when I, when I kind of took
- 4:07on the position of, of creative supervisor for Fraggle, I, you
- 4:10know, be obviously having a theater background, you know,
- 4:13theater is always like one of the first things in my brain
- 4:16when I wake up in the morning. And it just felt like, wait a
- 4:18minute, this is something that has never been done before.
- 4:21And this is the perfect show to do it with.
- 4:23And, you know, now we have all this beautiful music from, from,
- 4:27you know, Harvey Mason junior and his team, these reimaginings
- 4:30of the classic songs, you know, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.
- 4:33And, and I just got really excited at at the idea of being
- 4:37able. I think maybe it was like
- 4:38fulfilling the seven-year old fan in my heart as a kid.
- 4:40Like, I would have lost my mind when I became a fan of the
- 4:43Fraggle Rock originally to go and see the Fraggles live and
- 4:45meet the Fraggles and see them in person.
- 4:48So I think it was kind of that little, that little Johnny was
- 4:52kind of driving this the entire time.
- 4:53But I think as soon as it got brought up at the company in a
- 4:56way to kind of, you know, expand the franchise and get it out
- 5:00there, everyone got really excited.
- 5:01And it was like, yeah, we should do that.
- 5:02That's never happened before. It's great.
- 5:05And as the writer of the special, excuse me, of the of
- 5:08the live show, is there anything that you can tell us about the
- 5:10story? Well, you know what we talked a
- 5:13lot about like what we wanted it to be and is it a concert of
- 5:17frag, you know, just Fraggle songs?
- 5:18Is it is it, you know, taking a familiar story and just, you
- 5:22know, expanding it for the stage.
- 5:23And the more we thought about it, it was like, let's make this
- 5:26like, you know, an original story unique to Fraggle Rock,
- 5:30because that's the beautiful thing about Fraggle Rock,
- 5:31because around, you know, down the tunnel around the corner is
- 5:34another adventure, another cave to explorer.
- 5:36And let's kind of add to the lore of Fraggle Rock.
- 5:39So we really go on an adventure in the way that you would in the
- 5:43series where there is, you know, brand new creatures to meet and
- 5:47familiar music. And you're going to get your
- 5:49your dose of Gorgs and dozers and maybe even the trashy might
- 5:53make it appearance. OK.
- 5:54And lots of other fun, lots of other fun surprises.
- 5:57But we're going we're going to new locations, new caves, places
- 6:02we've never been before. But you'll also get to see the
- 6:04Great Hall. You'll get to see the things
- 6:05that you love about the show, but with some new experiences.
- 6:08So in my brain, it's kind of like a live episode of the show.
- 6:13I guess that's how I would say. Awesome.
- 6:15Yeah, that's perfect too, because I think that's what
- 6:17people want. They want to see the thing that
- 6:19they already love just kind of expanded in front of them.
- 6:24Speaking of things that are things that they love that are
- 6:26expanded, let's talk about these costumes.
- 6:29The costumes look incredible. We got a tease of them that
- 6:32these amazing live body Fraggle performers.
- 6:38Why did you choose to go with costumes and not puppets?
- 6:42Well, we went back and forth on that too.
- 6:44And I think what we realized was, you know, if we're going to
- 6:47translate this from television to live theater, you know, you
- 6:51want to utilize what works best in a live space and the
- 6:55opportunity for these Fraggles to really dance and really move.
- 6:59And you know, when you get to see the Fraggles full body on
- 7:02camera, it's, you know, 3 or 4 puppeteers and we're in blue
- 7:05screen and there's, you know, we can do a lot, but there's only
- 7:07so much we can do. You can't really get the
- 7:09Fraggles to fully turn around or to do, you know, everything you
- 7:12want them to do. And when you have, you know, a
- 7:15live performer in a costume, you know, they can do anything and
- 7:19go everywhere. And I think I think also it, you
- 7:21know, it's been proven by Sesame Street Live and Muppet Show
- 7:23Live, like you said that like that's such a really successful
- 7:26way to translate these characters.
- 7:28And then we thought, OK, what's really excited about that is
- 7:31then then you could get to upscale everything, which also
- 7:34makes it very theatrical. So the Doozers, which you know,
- 7:36have always existed in these little 6 inch animatronic
- 7:38beautiful puppets. And now we get to move them up
- 7:41to kind of Fraggle scale hand puppet size.
- 7:43And then you get to take the Gorgs who have always been a
- 7:47kind of walk around costume size in real life, even though just
- 7:50be like 18 feet tall. You get to expand them to how do
- 7:53they work in this world. So it just kind of started to
- 7:55get really excited, exciting to think about, you know, when
- 7:59you're sitting in the theater and you're watching the show and
- 8:02the Fraggles are now, you know, setting kind of the scale of the
- 8:06world. Everything else gets to adjust
- 8:07around that and you get to kind of really make everything super
- 8:10theatrical. Yeah, and, and Speaking of
- 8:13someone who has seen live puppetry a lot in theater,
- 8:16especially things like, you know, The Muppets live at the
- 8:19Hollywood Bowl or the Carnegie Hall show that you were involved
- 8:22with. When you're sitting up in the
- 8:23balcony, especially some of the smaller characters, like you're
- 8:26squinting, like, I think that's supposed to be Pepe out there,
- 8:29but how would you know? And this way it's like, yeah,
- 8:33they're right in front of you. It doesn't matter if you're you
- 8:35know where your seat is, you're going to get that that great
- 8:38experience without feeling like like it's not enough.
- 8:43Yeah, and I think, I think it also just from a, you know, it
- 8:45opens up from a directing point of view, it opens up the the
- 8:48world because we're not limited to having to always hide A
- 8:52puppeteer behind something or having to always justify a
- 8:55puppeteer. You know, it's, it's like these
- 8:57characters can literally jump and spin and twirl and do fancy
- 9:01combinations and run and do anything we need them to do
- 9:03without any physical limitations, which is really
- 9:06exciting. Actually Speaking of physical
- 9:08limitations, like have there been some with with those?
- 9:11I mean, I know they're, they're basically, they look like,
- 9:13they're basically big body suits with the the puppet head.
- 9:16But have there been other things that you can't do with them
- 9:19because they're big, fragile costumes?
- 9:23Well, I think it's it's less things you do and more just
- 9:26adapting to what they do best, right?
- 9:29So I mean, they have lip sync. They have beautiful mechanized
- 9:32mouths that, you know, again, in the vein of like a Sesame Street
- 9:35live, which is such a beautiful way to bring the characters to
- 9:38life in that way. So you still get that puppy feel
- 9:41in the heads, but you're obviously you have a dancer in
- 9:44there performing that. I think, you know, obviously
- 9:47vision is a thing, right? You have to be really cognizant
- 9:50of like that everyone can see safely.
- 9:51So we have a lot of conversations about, you know,
- 9:54how are you seeing and and you know, do you need do this piece
- 9:57of glow tape to be bigger so you can really see that mark when
- 10:00the lighting is a certain way. So those limitations come up,
- 10:03but you know, they don't feel so much as like limitations and
- 10:05more just adjustments because again, if they were puppets, I
- 10:08would be limited in a different way, right.
- 10:10So, so it's just kind of it, I guess it's like anything.
- 10:14It's like figuring out what are the, you know, how does this,
- 10:17how does this make it easier? And how does this make it more
- 10:19difficult than just finding that healthy in between that you go
- 10:22back and forth with? As the choreographer, did you
- 10:26feel it necessary to get yourself into one of the the
- 10:29costumes just to to feel it for yourself?
- 10:32Well, that's what I feel unique about.
- 10:35I can contribute to the show because I was a a, a character
- 10:38costume before where I was. I used to work at Sesame Place
- 10:40when I was younger. So for four years I was in those
- 10:43costumes and like, I know them very well.
- 10:46I know what it feels like to, you know, to dance a full out
- 10:49number and try to get your breath back.
- 10:50I know how hot it can be. I know how hard it is to see.
- 10:53And, you know, so I think that that has allowed me to, you
- 10:58know, create something that that I would, I would feel OK doing,
- 11:02you know what I mean? And ask, ask the performers.
- 11:05I know that if I was in a costume, I would be OK doing
- 11:07this. So I can feel OK asking you
- 11:09that, you know, But I can also relate to, you know, when
- 11:11everyone was learning the show, like how difficult it can be to.
- 11:15It's hard enough to learn the show as a performer.
- 11:17It's add on top of that the fact that you're wearing these
- 11:20costumes that you have to see, you know, your vision's limited
- 11:22and you have to think about, you know, moving your hand to make
- 11:25the mouth move on all the syllables, like all those extra
- 11:27things that we take for granted when we see one of these shows.
- 11:30But yeah, having that experience when I was younger, I think kind
- 11:33of, you know, I had no idea that one day I'd be doing this, but I
- 11:36think it prepared me to be able to, to do this hopefully in a
- 11:39way that feels right for the performers.
- 11:41And again, as the choreographer, I know that you did a lot of the
- 11:45choreography, if not almost all of it, the Back to the Rock
- 11:49show. Was it a challenge to kind of
- 11:52update the way that the Fraggles move from puppet to human
- 11:56performers, or was it basically just like, Nope, they're two
- 11:59different animals, I could do choreography for both, let's
- 12:02just change it up. What was that like for you?
- 12:05It's so funny because I think in some ways there's pluses and,
- 12:09and, and minuses on both sides, right?
- 12:11Like, you know, with puppets, you can do sillier things like
- 12:14pop in and out instantly and you can, you know, you can do these
- 12:18really slick movements that are really strong because your hands
- 12:20can move much quicker than your full body can.
- 12:22And you know, even just doing head motions, right, Like with a
- 12:27puppet, it's just your wrist, you know what I mean?
- 12:29And so those that those movements don't necessarily
- 12:33translate well to human bodies that have to think about
- 12:36gravity. And you know, you can't pop in
- 12:38and out out of nowhere. You need to hide your body
- 12:40somewhere and that you can't just popping upside down things
- 12:43that we love to do on the show all the time.
- 12:45So it was really just kind of saying, what can these, what can
- 12:48this version of the Fraggles do the best?
- 12:52And what are some things we can take so that the character
- 12:54costume performers, they're all so dedicated.
- 12:56They love the show so much. They love the original series
- 12:58and back to the Rock. And they just kind of immersed
- 13:00themselves into watching all the episodes.
- 13:03And we've we've, they've been really great about taking little
- 13:05things that we do with the characters on the TV show and
- 13:09try to translate that to the, to the costumes.
- 13:11So, you know, like Boober crossing his arms on the series
- 13:15or, you know, one of the iconic kind of Boober photo puppet
- 13:19poses where he's got his arms behind his back and he's looking
- 13:21down at his foot. Like, you know, our performer
- 13:24has been putting that into the show.
- 13:25And like the person who performs Gobo is like finding little
- 13:28things I do with Gobo when he's listening and putting those in.
- 13:31And, you know, 1 of Moki's kind of iconic dance moves that Donna
- 13:34Kimble does with the character and back to the rock we put into
- 13:37the show. So we're trying to find ways to
- 13:40like, really honor what you're familiar with.
- 13:43And then you're like, oh, but in this version, you get to see
- 13:46like all the characters high kick over their heads and you
- 13:48get to see, you know, them do like triple turns and things
- 13:51that, again, we could never do on the series, you know, easily.
- 13:55So it's it's, yeah, it's kind of finding enough familiarity that
- 13:59the characters feel familiar in their physicality, but then kind
- 14:04of expanding what they can do in this version of them.
- 14:07That's great. And then you don't have to worry
- 14:08about things like, you know, hiring actors who can defy
- 14:11gravity because there's so much more that you could do.
- 14:15Believe me, if we could have put them upside down on stage, I
- 14:18would have figured out a way. But you know, that's maybe devil
- 14:20I'm. Yeah, the next show, the next
- 14:22show we'll we'll get them up in the.
- 14:23Rafters, yeah. Absolutely.
- 14:26So you you mentioned we're going to be seeing the Fraggle 5,
- 14:29we're going to see the the doosers, we're going to see
- 14:32Junior Gore, we're going to see hopefully see the trash heap.
- 14:35Are are we going to be seeing any other fragile characters
- 14:38like traveling Mats or Pogie or anyone else from the show?
- 14:42You are, you are. I can't give it too much away,
- 14:45but they we we really tried to make it feel like a full
- 14:49episode. So you get all the elements you
- 14:51love of a television episode of the show, but then also like
- 14:54little cameos, little surprises you know you should be.
- 14:59I would say that if you're a Fraggle fan, hopefully you'll
- 15:02walk away feeling like you got to see all your friends live on
- 15:04stage in some way or another. That's great.
- 15:07And then what about Dock and Sprocket?
- 15:08Did they make the cut for for the stage show?
- 15:12I'll just say they're there. There's a tribute to them.
- 15:16Oh great. How about that?
- 15:17That's totally fair. Yes.
- 15:19It would be weird to have like a human on stage with the Fraggle,
- 15:22so I get that. Yeah.
- 15:24I would love to see Lily Cooper do a live Fraggle Rock show so
- 15:27maybe the next one will get her in there.
- 15:30You know what I mean? She's one of the busiest people
- 15:32on Broadway and and you know, as you know, is in demand.
- 15:35So listen, if we can get her to come out with the Fraggles and
- 15:38maybe we'll do like a live, you know, Fraggle music tour with
- 15:41Lily Cooper as this as the lead vocalist.
- 15:43I would I would go see that. Oh my gosh, yeah.
- 15:45Well, I don't know why you're not working on.
- 15:47Why are you wasting time talking to me?
- 15:48Go go plan that. What do you think I'm doing
- 15:50after this? Come on.
- 15:54It sounds like, also correct me if I'm wrong, that you're also
- 15:57kind of putting in some Easter eggs for the fans.
- 15:59Is that right? Yes, yeah, there's some
- 16:02references in the show and some little.
- 16:06If you keep your eyes open, you'll see certain things.
- 16:08And you know, certainly there's some wonderful, you know, Boober
- 16:13ends up being, in my opinion, like he's such a comedy gold
- 16:17mine in the show because he's so useful for like, you know,
- 16:20references either out to the audience or kind of a sides, you
- 16:24know, because we we break the 4th wall in this a little bit
- 16:27more than we do on the television series.
- 16:28So and Dave, of course, Dave Goals is the most brilliant, you
- 16:32know, character actor ever, performer ever.
- 16:35So he threw in a lot of really fun things.
- 16:38And, you know, if you're a Henson fan, there's one little
- 16:40nod to you in the show. So yeah, we really wanted it to
- 16:43be a celebration. One of the things Nicole and I
- 16:46talked a lot about was, you know, this is not only a
- 16:49celebration of frag rock, it's also a celebration of Jim Henson
- 16:51and puppetry. You know, so you're getting to
- 16:54see different kinds of puppetry. You're getting to, you know, to
- 16:56really believe in the in a Jim Henson world, kind of the best
- 17:00rate of what Jim did with great music and great characters and
- 17:03great lore and, and, you know, you know, magical realms, I
- 17:08mean, frackle rock kind of covers all that.
- 17:09So we felt like it was an opportunity to also just really
- 17:13make it a Henson puppity magical show.
- 17:16I'm glad to hear that too, because I think one concern that
- 17:18a lot of what fans have is, you know, it looks like it's a, you
- 17:22know, it is an all ages show, but it looks like it's a show
- 17:24mainly for for the younger audiences, which is fine.
- 17:27You know, we, we understand, you know, who the demographic is,
- 17:30But there's a lot of us who are adult fans and especially a lot
- 17:33of adult fans who don't have kids who are going to be
- 17:36interested in seeing the show and, you know, want to make sure
- 17:39that it's not just like a well, you have to put yourself in the,
- 17:42you know, the, the five year old's shoes.
- 17:44It's like, no, there's something there for us too.
- 17:46It's good to know. No, that's actually, you know,
- 17:48and that's kind of how I operate as a theater person anyways.
- 17:51I really believe the most impactful theater is one that
- 17:54you can see with your family in totality and that it doesn't
- 17:57feel because I've been, you know, to the shows with like my
- 17:59little sister when she was younger and things of that where
- 18:01you're just like, I'm going to pull my hair out if I have to
- 18:03listen to this farmer in Adele one more time, you know, and and
- 18:06there's there's value to that. Of course there is.
- 18:08But I think we wanted this to be a great first theater experience
- 18:11for kids if if this is their first experience.
- 18:14But it's written, you know, as a Fraggle fan, you know, it's
- 18:18written in that same vein where it really is what the show has
- 18:22always done best, which is it's something for everybody.
- 18:24And so, you know, you definitely won't feel out of place seeing
- 18:27the show. You know, as someone without
- 18:30kids, it's the opposite. I think you'll feel very much
- 18:32like the show is your, is your opportunity to, you know, sit in
- 18:37that world of Fraggle magic and take something out of it.
- 18:39And your 4 year old, 5 year old little sister, little brother,
- 18:42niece, cousin, whoever will love it too.
- 18:44Because, you know, it's engaging and it's interactive and, you
- 18:47know, it's so musical. So, yeah, I, I, I kind of, you
- 18:53know, I like to think that it's a show that if I went as a
- 18:57Fraggle fan at my age today, I would love.
- 19:00But also, you know, the 6-7 year old who found the show as a kid
- 19:04would have lost his mind at the same time seeing it.
- 19:06So that that's what we've been going for.
- 19:08Fantastic. One thing that I'm really
- 19:10excited about is the merch table.
- 19:13Can you talk a little bit about what kind of merchandise we're
- 19:15going to see at the at the show? Yeah, we have some unique
- 19:19things. I'm not sure if I can give
- 19:20specifics yet, but sure we have. We have a really beautiful
- 19:23souvenir program that's got all sorts of fun Fraggle stuff in
- 19:27there and information and behind the scenes stuff.
- 19:30We've got buttons, we've got magnets, we've got beautiful
- 19:33drawstring bags. The plush will be there.
- 19:36We've got books. We've got awesome light up, kind
- 19:40of fraggly microphones. There's a lot of really fun
- 19:43unique things that are branded to the live show and feature.
- 19:45Oh, we have postcards of the characters and on the back you
- 19:49can actually address it to Uncle Matt if you want.
- 19:51So great. There's a lot of really fun.
- 19:53You know, we wanted it to really feel like that experience also
- 19:56goes out there. Plus, you know, we have the
- 19:58opportunity to meet the Fraggles after the show as part of the
- 20:00VIP meet and greet. So you get some really fun
- 20:02one-on-one Fraggle time and a special picture with a backdrop
- 20:06and and everything. So, you know, we really wanted
- 20:09this to be like. If you're a fragile fan, you get
- 20:11to really immerse yourself in the whole thing.
- 20:14Fantastic. What do you see as the next
- 20:19phase of the show after it's done?
- 20:21Maybe, maybe Broadway? You got a little experience with
- 20:25that yourself? God, Can you imagine?
- 20:28I mean, I think what's been so exciting is like, you know,
- 20:32we're going out for these initial first months and then,
- 20:34you know, our, our hope and our goal is to continue it on and
- 20:37keep taking the show out. And I think the love that it's
- 20:39gotten from from, you know, theaters and venues across the
- 20:42country and, and places we can't say yet, but like that we were
- 20:46like thrilled to hear that they were so excited that the
- 20:48possibility of welcoming the Fraggles there.
- 20:52It just kind of, you know, it's what we all know about the show,
- 20:55which is that it's just, it's just it's this rare thing where
- 20:58it's like, you know, multiple generations have grown up with
- 21:01it and have this like soft spot in their hearts for it.
- 21:04And, you know, I think it shows not only how important the show
- 21:08is still, but also that like how much the world needs it,
- 21:11especially in this live way. Like we all want to escape this
- 21:14crazy world we live in right now for a couple of hours and go sit
- 21:17in the world of frackle Rock. So, you know, to answer your
- 21:20question, I think that there's it may pop up in unexpected
- 21:22places that could be very exciting.
- 21:24Well, that's that, that's. A good tease.
- 21:26Good tease. Well, John, I, I'm so grateful
- 21:30that you are expanding the world of Fraggle Rock beyond just the
- 21:33show. Can you, can you tease anything
- 21:37else that might be coming up in the world of Fraggles beyond
- 21:39just the show? I mean, you know what I'm going
- 21:41to say to you, Joe, which is I can't tell you much, but you
- 21:45know, I got to ask. Oh, I, I tell you what, No, I'll
- 21:51just say that there's a lot of really exciting things that are
- 21:54happening as we speak. A lot of it, you know, has not
- 21:58been talked about yet, but it will be.
- 22:00I have Nicole sitting next to me.
- 22:01So I'm being very careful when I say, but honestly, like, I
- 22:06think, you know, there's that there's that great line that Red
- 22:09says in I think the second episode of the back to the Rock
- 22:12where she's like, what a time to be a Fraggle.
- 22:14And I kind of feel as, as a lifelong fan, you know, I, I, I
- 22:18do feel like that's true. I feel like there, there's so
- 22:20much passion at the company to make these characters and make
- 22:24this world continue on in different ways.
- 22:26And there's a lot of exciting stuff happening.
- 22:29So I'll just, I'll just say that, yes, there are some
- 22:30surprises coming very soon that I think everyone's going to be
- 22:33very happy about. In fact, I'll say this, I'll say
- 22:35this. When you come to the live show,
- 22:39there is something, there's an Easter egg that kind of gives
- 22:41away something that's coming. And that's all I can say.
- 22:44OK, so you come as a Fraggle fan and come through the live show?
- 22:47Great. All right.
- 22:48That's all I can say. Then everyone who's listening to
- 22:51this, go to fragglerocklive.com and see when the show is coming
- 22:56near you. It's going to be running across
- 22:58the country and across Canada from January through May and
- 23:03hopefully it's coming near you. I know I'll be seeing it pretty
- 23:06soon. I'm really excited to see what
- 23:08what you guys have in store for us.
- 23:10Yeah, and you know what, I think my feeling is like let's make
- 23:13the Fraggle fans thing like Taylor Swift fans, like where we
- 23:15have like the friendship braces, like let's do like Fraggle Rock
- 23:17live meet ups and everyone go out to Fraggle Rock dinners
- 23:20together like we want to. And I want to see that stuff,
- 23:21like post it. We want to see like what the
- 23:23fans are doing to celebrate it. Yes, that's such a great idea.
- 23:26Well, John, thank you again so much for taking the time to talk
- 23:29about Fraggle Rock Live with us. I'm really excited about the
- 23:31show. I think it's going to be fun.
- 23:32I can't wait to see what you guys have in store for us.
- 23:35Thank you. I just want to give one quick
- 23:36shout out to all the amazing performers that are working on
- 23:38the show. They're working their tails off,
- 23:40no pun intended, or maybe a pun intended.
- 23:42And and they care so desperately about these characters and
- 23:45bringing them to life. So just a big shout out to all
- 23:47of them because they're they're the most amazing company we
