- 0:13SPEAKER_01: What's going on, big bowlers?
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: It's your boy MJG coming in live with your boy Joel the Birdman.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: Brand new episode of Fancy Football Sports Minds.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: How's everyone doing today?
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: Birdman?
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: I'm doing great, Manny.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: How are you doing?
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: I'm doing phenomenal, brother.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: I'm just coming at you another great week of fantasy calls last week.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: I know I got my absolute ass whipped in one league, but I'm doing great in other ones.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: How about yourself, man?
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: I had a great week, generally speaking.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Uh I lost a couple, but um I got some much needed wins in other leagues.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: So there's one league where I think um I need if if I lose one more, I'm out.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Uh maybe two, but I don't have a bad team, and it's kind of frustrating because you know sometimes it's just the matchups that week don't go your way.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: Uh you know, I've got uh a handful of leagues where most points against, and I need some better matchups, some easier competition.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: I just don't know if I'm gonna get it soon enough.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: All right, yes, sir.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: I hear that.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: Definitely uh something that could happen, but I know one thing that we can say for sure is that we made some pretty good calls last week for some uh matchups, a lot of really great content to go over today.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: Any new uh updates for fantasy football?
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: Do we have any uh really important players coming back this week?
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: I don't know about very important players, but we do have Jameson Williams back.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: Uh, and you know, the Lions offense has looked pretty rock solid.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: So I think that you know he could be in the next coming weeks someone to keep your eye on.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: Um I grabbed him in one league just to put him on my bench, see what happens over the next couple weeks.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Probably won't be um, you know, uh a monumental ad at any point during the season, but he could be someone you need on a bye week.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely uh maybe a flex or something like that on a bye, you know, like you said, a bye week.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: Um, definitely a couple players to look out for.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: Cooper Cup has been activated for practice.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: Um, so he's someone that could definitely step in for a flex if you if you're on an emergency.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: Also, Jonathan Taylor has been activated on the practice, uh, 21-day practice window for PUP.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: So there's a possibility he could be playing.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: Uh, Cooper Cup is going against uh the Eagles.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: So if he's active, Eagles are depleted.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: He could definitely immediately be a must-start.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: If he were to play, even if he were to get limited snaps, which uh I don't know how big his injury was, but um he was uh wasn't his a hamstring.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and that's what's weird.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: They're giving mixed signals because you know they say he's ready to come back, um but then he's still limited all week in practice, and um I assume when he does come back he won't be a hundred percent.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: Uh I'm not worried about you know him impeding on Puka Nakua really for the rest of the season.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: I think Puka's gonna get enough targets to be a starter the rest of the season, but I I am a little worried about Cup.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Like, what's really going on?
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Is he injured or is he okay?
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: Because it sounds to me like with all this wishy-washy talk about his injury, that he might still have a few weeks to go.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: That's just I don't know.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Just the way that the way they're like skirting around, just yep, he's gonna be 100% on Sunday is weird to me.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and that could also mean you know, get ready to hit the Jettison button on 2-2 at well, you know, or find that Cooper Cup owner and make a trade-off.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: Or hey, you know, you got you might need if especially if they're in need of a must-start now, you could you know, send them that appeal one or two weeks.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: Hey, you gotta, I know he's only good for one or two weeks, but hey, you got a guy I want.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: Let's go ahead and just swap him out here, maybe see if we can make something happen.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: And and and uh Jonathan Taylor's another one where you know what's going on with him.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: I don't think anybody knows.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: Maybe maybe the Colts don't even know what they're gonna do with him.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: Um, it could be that the the relationship is still you know sour and out of spite he's just on the bench for a couple weeks, even if he's ready to go.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: But I don't know.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: Well, I mean, I I doubt they would do that, but who knows?
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: Um, if he's ready to go, obviously you put him in, but I think that's one that you gotta unless you need to play him this week, you gotta watch and see what happens over the next week or two.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Zach Boss has been playing well.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you're right.
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: It was a pissing contest between him and and and Vic Ballard, who is not only the GM for the Colts, but also the owner, you know.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: So when you get into pissing contests with Vic Ballard, aka Jerry Jones, you know, aka, you know, your Robert Krass, you know, well, I'm sorry, not Robert Kraft, but just your GM slash owners, you know, those are guys that take it very personal because not only you negotiating with the GM, you're negotiating with the guy who is you're literally taking money out of his pocket.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: So he takes it very personal.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: So you're right, if he is active for game days, he's someone that's just gonna be sat on the bench because you're right, Zach Moss has been positive.
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: So, you know, do you start Zach Moss?
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: Do you start Jonathan Taylor?
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: Do you take that risk, you know?
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: Or do you just and I would take the risk with Zach Moss at this point over Jonathan Taylor because last week was a tough week, you know, all around.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: It was a tough week.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: But uh the previous two weeks he was great.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: You know, he's getting the volume, so I expect that volume to continue until they have a reason not to give him the ball and start involving Jonathan Taylor.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: But we'll see.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: We really don't know.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: It'll be exciting.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: It's a strange year, it's gonna get a little stranger as we you know monitor these injuries and uh these suspensions and trades and everything else.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: I bet there's a lot of action in the next couple weeks off the field.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: I mean, yeah, definitely, definitely a lot of a lot of uh turnover there as far as injuries.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: Um, um, a lot of bye weeks.
- 6:31SPEAKER_01: First bye week, if you have the Chargers, you're without you know, top five players like Keenan Allen.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: You know, Eckler hasn't played in a while, so you've probably been without him for a while.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: So you gotta figure those out over there.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Kenneth Walker versus Seattle.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: Kenneth Walker, that's right.
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: Seattle's a big one.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: Uh Kenneth Walker has been a fantasy stud lately.
- 6:49SPEAKER_01: You know, if you've had him last year, you know what he's capable of and he's just taking off or he left off.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: The fact that he even dropped off in a draft is just absolutely amazing to me.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: He's I know was the best kept fantasy secret, you know.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: And I'm sad that I didn't get him in more drafts, you know.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I only got him in one topic over here.
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so what are your hot matchups, Joe, leading into the week over here?
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: Your first hot matchup for my first matchup, my hot matchup of the week, I got the Jags versus the Bills.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: We know what the Bills can do on offense, and I think if the Jags are playing from behind, we're gonna see what they can do on offense too.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: Because Trevor Lawrence has proven himself.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: Uh Christian Kirk has proven himself.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: They got Ridley now, Evan Ingram, and Travis Etienne.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: High powered offense against another high-powered offense with you know, Stefan Diggs, Josh Allen, and Gabe Davis has shown some flashes of greatness.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: And then, you know, the running game for both has been a little iffy, but they're gonna be passing the ball a lot more.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: So I feel like it's gonna be a high scoring game.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be a lot of throwing.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: And um, you know, if Trevor Lawrence can't get it done in the air, he'll run.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: If Josh Allen can't get it done in the air, he'll run.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: But both of them will get it done in the air.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: And if the Jags are playing from behind, which they probably will be expected to be a high-scoring game, um, you know, maybe some garbage time, who cares?
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be points on the board.
- 8:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely.
- 8:22SPEAKER_01: If the Bills are carrying over uh from their success from last week, Josh Allen threw, I think he had like four touchdowns last week.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: So he he really went off.
- 8:31SPEAKER_01: I mean, he was just like uh just absolutely insane.
- 8:35SPEAKER_01: So if uh they could and then four of those touchdowns went to Stefan Diggs or three touchdowns to digs, and he had a rushing touchdown for Josh Allen.
- 8:43SPEAKER_01: So he he had an amazing fantasy day.
- 8:46SPEAKER_01: So you could expect some big explosive plays.
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: It's a 9-30 game, I think, in London.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: So it's gonna be early, it's gonna be offbeat.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: You're gonna see some breakdown and coverages.
- 8:54SPEAKER_01: Uh Jags don't really play great defense, so you're gonna see some really explosive plays on the Bills side, and hopefully the Jags, they are they're used to playing in London, they have a little bit of a following.
- 9:05SPEAKER_01: So maybe Trevor Lawrence gets it together because he's been a little bit off.
- 9:09SPEAKER_01: I mean, uh he hasn't had some big games, and I've had him in one league.
- 9:13SPEAKER_01: I could use a big game from him.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm struggling in that league.
- 9:16SPEAKER_01: I'm two and two, so I mean, I'd still have a chance, but a nice big game would be nice.
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: And uh seeing him really get it out there like like Etienne could use a big game, maybe a passing game to to the flats, like the Bills can be exposed on the flats a little bit.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: They just lost Jadavius White for the season, the cornerback, you know, again, uh tour and a Achilles again.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: Poor guy, like their star uh, you know, cornerback.
- 9:42SPEAKER_01: So I mean, so the Bills are gonna really be exposed on that perimeter, you know, when it comes to like those vertical attacks.
- 9:50SPEAKER_01: So expect the Jags and Doug Peterson to really scheme that up.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: Doug Peterson's a great offensive mind, and uh Trevor Lawrence really loves getting the ball out to to that back.
- 10:00SPEAKER_01: So I can see them really um otherwise the Bills have a really sound defense deep, yeah, and uh a really strong defense in the middle, like their front seven, like Matt Milano, their their linebackers great.
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: Like they they really they lost Tremaine Evans, but they or Trey Evans, but they're still great in the middle with Matt Milano.
- 10:22SPEAKER_01: So the Bills uh you have to attack them a certain way, and I think they trust their abilities to make plays over there, so especially the red zone.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: So um that's how I expect that game to go.
- 10:34SPEAKER_01: So if it goes that way, perfect.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: It's a great fantasy game for everybody, right?
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: But right, obviously, if it goes the opposite way, it could be just um, you know, some some lockdown defense.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: But you know, if it's a back and forth, matchup to watch out.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: If it's a back and forth, that's best case scenario, of course.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: But you know, I love it.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: A come from behind, that's not always bad either.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: You can get some garbage time points, and that's good for that's fun to watch too.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: It'll be a big game.
- 11:00SPEAKER_01: I think it'll be a good game.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: So who's your who's your first hot matchup this week?
- 11:05SPEAKER_01: Man, people are gonna really like stop.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: They're gonna be like, man, this guy's just an Eagles fan, man.
- 11:10SPEAKER_01: But the Eagles versus Rams is gonna be a big game, man.
- 11:13SPEAKER_01: Like, oh yeah, seriously, bro.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: Every team is giving the Eagles their best game.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: Like you guys saw at the Washington Commanders last week, like it was 34-31.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: Like, and they they were like unanswered.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: Like they had to score two or three touchdowns in the second quarter, uh, sorry, second half, and they did it, man.
- 11:31SPEAKER_01: Like the red, the Redskins, you know, forgive me for calling the Redskins, that's what they are.
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: The commanders came back and they scored a touchdown and tie it up, and they're like, why didn't they go for two?
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: It's like, how do you ask the team how they went for two after they tied it up?
- 11:46SPEAKER_01: If they if they went for two and they lost and they missed it, they would ask them why didn't they kick the damn field goal?
- 11:51SPEAKER_01: Like, people always want to question a coach for what they do, like, man, get off the man's back.
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: Like, oh yeah, you see, they they gave the one of the best teams in the league a run for their money.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: We literally won it on a 54 54-yard field goal, is a tough game.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: Like, and then like they give the team shit, you know, and everybody makes it about the brotherly shove.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: And people forget Tom Brady used to run that back in freaking 2006, and it was unstoppable then with Tom Brady.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: Did it, and no, you know what I mean?
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: Like, we just resurrected it, like it was Tom Brady's play, you know.
- 12:29SPEAKER_01: Like, get get off our back, bro.
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: Everybody, you saw Daniel Jones try it.
- 12:33SPEAKER_01: Was it unstoppable?
- 12:35SPEAKER_01: No, we got a freaking ridiculous O-line.
- 12:38SPEAKER_01: Get your game up, bro.
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: Draft the first round O lineman every single year, like we do.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: I know you guys built that line, bro.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: We draft O-lineman in the first round on offense and defense.
- 12:50SPEAKER_01: That's what you get when you get two or three first round picks every other year.
- 12:53SPEAKER_01: Like people act like it doesn't happen by luck.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: No, we're freaking doing it on purpose.
- 12:58SPEAKER_01: We're signing free agents and we're drafting O linemen.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: And that's why you can have a small back be so successful, you know.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: That's why you can have a running back that's you know not your traditional running back just tearing things up because he's protected.
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: But yeah, I didn't even get into the actual details of the game.
- 13:17SPEAKER_01: But long story short, he needed to be high octane, yeah.
- 13:21SPEAKER_01: Bro, but they they eat, but the Rams have been playing great football, man.
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: They're all like the offense looks sharp.
- 13:28SPEAKER_01: I mean, like Matt Matt Stafford hurt his hip, but he's gonna be playing.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: I mean, you might have Cooper Cup back, like regardless.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: Kyron Williams has been solid.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: I mean, um He's all banged up right now.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: Kid Rivers, he'll be fine.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: That young kid Rivers, I'm probably gonna play him as my flex.
- 13:45SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm gonna I'm gonna take a big balls move.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: That's that's I'm gonna I'm gonna probably play him as my flex this week.
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: Watch against the Eagles.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: If Cooper Cup doesn't play, I'm gonna play that kid Rivers against the Eagles beat up secondary.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna play him.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely because he's probably gonna give me 30 points.
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: That's how sorry that secondary is right now.
- 14:04SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be high scored.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: Uh trust me.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: And I'm I'm one of those people that was talking a lot of shit on the Rams offense, but man, they surprised everybody, and I'm so happy to see it.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: I'm not a Rams fan or anything, it's just fun to watch.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: So I'm all about it.
- 14:22SPEAKER_01: It is.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: And of course, Puka, man.
- 14:25SPEAKER_01: Puka 22 at well, yeah.
- 14:27SPEAKER_01: You know, they're they're making some they're making some plays, man.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: Puka's the real deal, bro.
- 14:32SPEAKER_01: He's not like that.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: Rookie's built like he's a Hawaiian brother, man.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: They're already built mature beyond their years, you know.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: So he's already like a veteran.
- 14:41SPEAKER_01: He looks awesome.
- 14:43SPEAKER_01: He looks like a vet.
- 14:44SPEAKER_01: So uh he's gonna he's gonna test that Eagle secondary.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: So we got we gotta be ready.
- 14:49SPEAKER_01: And what about you, man?
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: What's your second uh hot matchup, brother?
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: My second fire matchup of the week is probably pretty obvious.
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: The Chiefs versus the Vikings.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: Uh, same story here as kind of the first one.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: You got two high-powered offenses, the Vikings defense is very suspect.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: Chiefs defense is pretty good, but same thing with these two teams as the the Jags and the Bills, you're gonna see a lot more throwing than running.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: So I expect the Vikings, you know, Kirk Cousins to be chucking the ball all day.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: I expect Patrick Mahomes to be chucking the ball all day and just sprinkling in some runs here and there, but mostly um throwing the ball all day.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: If it's back and forth, awesome.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: If Kirk Cousins has to play from behind, that's great too.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: I guarantee you it's gonna be a really high scoring game, really fun to watch.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: And um the Chiefs may go up, may go up a little early, but I don't know.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: The Vikings uh with that high-powered offense, I wouldn't be surprised if they went up early either.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: And it's just a strong offensive back and forth for the entire game.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know what?
- 16:05SPEAKER_01: I'll tell you what, I feel bad for anybody that has to go up against Justin Jefferson this week because they're they're just gonna feed him like this week.
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: Because you're right, the Chiefs Vikings is gonna be high scoring.
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: I mean, Chiefs are gonna do whatever they want against that secondary, like uh Brian Flores, he's gonna be playing deep the whole game.
- 16:24SPEAKER_01: That's how you played the Eagles, right?
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: Keep everything behind them, give everything underneath, and then Andy Reid just and Patrick Mahomes will play what the defense gives you.
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: And guess what?
- 16:35SPEAKER_01: And then Justin Jefferson is just gonna chip, chip, chip away, and then bust them deep.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: Chip, chip, chip away, bust them deep.
- 16:41SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 16:42SPEAKER_01: And that could actually be really good for uh the rookie as well.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: Um, Jordan Addison.
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: Jordan Addison, yeah.
- 16:49SPEAKER_01: Because I mean the Chiefs have a good uh solid secondary because Trent McDuffie last year was and Jalen Watson, you know, like was a rookie last year, and Trent McDuffie, two rookies last year, so the second year guys, they're actually ranked like sixth.
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: So I was actually debating on whether I should start Jordan Addison as my flex, um, because obviously I'm thin at options there, but um, you know, I'm definitely contemplating it.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: Um, but I could I could see how that could be a back and forth affair, yeah.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: And and how but it's like, is it gonna be Hawkinson and him, or is it just gonna be Jefferson and Hawkinson, you know, in Kirk Cousins' eyes, right?
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: Because he gets pretty hyper focused, in my opinion.
- 17:31SPEAKER_01: Kirk Cousins.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: I think what happened with Jordan Addison last week is kind of an anomaly based on everything we saw before that.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: I think he's gonna have a good week this week, and with with the amount of scoring involved, I feel like he's gonna get six or eight targets and um have a solid one.
- 17:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I wouldn't.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: Maybe not six or eight targets, but he's gonna get a handful of targets.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: I hope so.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: Hopefully, the Chiefs score a lot quick.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: Maybe Taylor Swift's there, and then Travis Kelsey wants to show off and get a like a three-touchdown game.
- 18:07SPEAKER_01: That'll be fine.
- 18:08SPEAKER_01: I know Travis Kelsey's gonna try to go off.
- 18:10SPEAKER_01: So we're gonna see what happens there.
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: And then his girlfriend's gonna be like, Don't embarrass me again.
- 18:15SPEAKER_01: Or uh Patrick Mahomes' wife's gonna be like, Don't embarrass me again like that.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: So he's gonna throw three to Kelsey just to like make them look cool in front of Taylor Slew's friends.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because that's looking like the freaking uh what what is the the the professional games or the sports games where they have all the uh messy games where they have all the celebrities up there like LeBron and everybody they're hanging out.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: That's what it's looking like now, Chiefs games.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: I think the Chiefs fans are a little annoyed by it, but from an outside perspective, it's kind of silly and fun.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, and Kelsey, you know, he's probably gonna be showing off a little bit, throwing up two touchdowns.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: Who knows?
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: I expect you know a high scoring game.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: I expect a high scoring game, and I bet you Kelsey's very involved.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: Who did you got for uh your second hot matchup of the week, Manny?
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: Uh, so this is gonna be a surprising one because these are two teams known for having some of the best defense in the league.
- 19:15SPEAKER_01: Uh, but I think it's because they also have really efficient offenses that they're gonna have to go back and forth, especially considering their better rivalry.
- 19:24SPEAKER_01: But it's gonna be the Cowboys and the Niners.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: This one's gonna be a good one.
- 19:29SPEAKER_01: So um they don't even have the highest point protected uh projected total either.
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: I think Vegas only has them in like 45 for this uh for the spread, but uh I could see them going back and forth, man, trading shots because I think last time they met was like the NFC Championship or something like that, like a few years ago, and uh Niners knocked them out.
- 19:49SPEAKER_01: Knocked them no, not the NFC Championship, they never went, it was like the the divisional round, um, like four years ago or something like that.
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: So okay.
- 19:57SPEAKER_01: Um so they still have bitter blood from that, and then the cowboys are saying how they you know they're the better ones of the uh of the rivalry.
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: So, you know, it'd be nice to see them play each other because uh NFC West plays the NFC East this year, so it's gonna be the matchup to see there.
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's cool.
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: Um plus I have McCaffrey, so I'd love to see them against that run defense.
- 20:19SPEAKER_01: Cowboys uh they have a great rush defense, but I think they can get gouged by on the run.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: Um, especially if they're gonna they're gonna try to target McCaffrey and you know maybe try to take away Debo, but I think they can't stop McCaffrey, especially after that performance last week.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: I don't think so either.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: They're great, they're very, very good defense, but they haven't faced someone like McCaffrey McCaffrey.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: And their defense has been pretty much the reason uh the Cowboys have looked so good.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: Uh but McCaffrey's McCaffrey.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: And he's a total freak.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: I actually made a trade today, it was rejected, and it was a bold move.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: You might not agree with it, but I do need a running back too, so keep that in mind.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: I offered Justin Jefferson straight up for McCaffrey, and the McCaffrey owner said no.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: I don't blame him.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: I would have said no too.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: I won McCaffrey.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: I was gonna offer you that trade before the season started.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: That's how high on McCaffrey I was.
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: All right, ladies and gentlemen, let me remind you this guy is in my league.
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: He had number one overall draft pick, and he took Justin Jefferson.
- 21:27SPEAKER_01: And guess who got McCaffrey?
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: Fifth.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: You got him fifth.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: Stupid.
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: Fifth, and I am very happy with that decision.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: I know, uh dude, of course.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: Didn't make sense that he went fifth.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: And I wouldn't have made that trade back then either.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: Trust me, I was not I was I was really CMC since day one.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: I was really the only person that made me question that decision, like very slightly, was Tyreek Hill, and then I said, Nope, I'm going CMC.
- 21:58SPEAKER_01: And that's that's what I did, and that's Was it that's as close as they got, and you know what?
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: And I don't regret it because 25, 25, 25, 50, boom, 50 burger man.
- 22:08SPEAKER_01: That was well, that's like increased score, and so it's probably like 45.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: But he was a monster, 40 something.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: That it was in the 40s, I know that much.
- 22:22SPEAKER_01: It's time for the cold call of the week.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: My cold call of the week is the Saints versus the Patriots.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: Uh offenses from both teams have looked pretty bad, and the defense has looked pretty good.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: So I mean, you know, that's a harsh thing to to mix is a bad offense and a good defense.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: And that's what we're gonna see on both sides of the ball.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: And um I imagine that you know Ramondre's probably gonna play, but not be a hundred percent.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: Kamara's still getting warmed up, uh Carr might still be a little banged up, and um you know what we saw from Mac Jones last week was pretty bad.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: Um, there's just not a lot of good looking offense on either side of the ball.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: Um Olave will probably have a good game, but overall, it's probably gonna be a low-scoring affair.
- 23:27SPEAKER_01: All right, yeah, definitely.
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: Patriots versus Saints.
- 23:30SPEAKER_01: That's um it's a matchup that I would want to avoid as well.
- 23:33SPEAKER_01: Both teams will look sloppy.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: I mean, uh Kamara actually had 14 receptions last week, so I mean that's someone that I I I would definitely play.
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: But I told you last week I wouldn't touch any of those Saints receivers.
- 23:45SPEAKER_01: I mean, I told you like Olave, I was like, sell high on that man now, get rid of him now.
- 23:50SPEAKER_01: But by then it was already, if you didn't sell on him already, it was already too late for him and Michael, Michael uh Thomas because the Saints are gonna be up and down all season long, along with cars health.
- 24:01SPEAKER_01: The moment he's out, that that team is is shot.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: That team's value every for everybody except for Kamara, and that's the only player I would I would even take on that team.
- 24:09SPEAKER_01: But Patriots, there's nobody like the only one player, and he's like not really even that he's not even consistent because that that position typically isn't is Hunter Henry, you know, for for the tight end.
- 24:20SPEAKER_01: So I mean that's just how that team is.
- 24:23SPEAKER_01: So it's definitely a cold call for sure.
- 24:25SPEAKER_01: Uh and my cold call for the week, um, I do have the Jets versus the Broncos.
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: So I know uh Zach Zach uh what Wilson played his heart out, you know, against the you know against the Chiefs, but you know, I don't think he's gonna be consistently played that good.
- 24:41SPEAKER_01: You know, I just don't think that team's cut out for maybe uh Brees Hall has a big game, you know, for the Jets.
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: The defense will shut him out, right?
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: The Broncos just beat up the, you know, beat him up because they did have a good defense.
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: They've just been playing a lot of good offenses lately.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: And then for the Broncos, you know, offensively they might score a little bit, but they they could get knocked off rhythm by good defenses.
- 25:03SPEAKER_01: So they could get beat up a lot.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: They don't have Javante Williams, you know, they have Jaleo McLaughlin, you know, that young guy back there.
- 25:10SPEAKER_01: He's he's a little bit undersized.
- 25:12SPEAKER_01: I think the Jets defense is pretty beastly, so they might beat up on him a little bit, um, and on Russell Wilson a little bit, and we'll see how that goes.
- 25:21SPEAKER_01: But that's just not a matchup.
- 25:22SPEAKER_01: I want to have players on either side.
- 25:24SPEAKER_01: So if I have players from these teams, I'm definitely not happy to be starting them.
- 25:29SPEAKER_01: Like the only one I told you that would be like remotely okay with would be Brees Hall.
- 25:34SPEAKER_01: Outside of that, everybody else I'm just very shaky on.
- 25:37SPEAKER_01: Like, just find other options.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I totally agree with that.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: And um, you know, one other thing I'd like to mention, an honorable mention, is is the Steelers versus the Ravens, because that's gonna be another low-scoring affair.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: It is every single time they match up, uh, it's a defensive battle every single year.
- 25:57SPEAKER_00: It's always fuck, it's always brutal.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: And uh, you know, you got Mitch Trubisky starting at quarterback.
- 26:04SPEAKER_00: The Steelers offense has looked horrible.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: God damn.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: And um it's good, you're probably gonna see a lot of Lamar.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: Um, and there's a good chance the Ravens will just stomp the Steelers, but usually it's a defensive battle, so I would stay away from that game as well.
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, uh my take on that is um Ravens have looked a little bit injured on defense like secondary, and uh Travinsky, I think, is a little bit of a better has a better arm than than Pickett did.
- 26:39SPEAKER_01: Pickett didn't look like he could throw those uh those corner routes very well.
- 26:43SPEAKER_01: So maybe it's an improvement for that Matt Canada offense, like being able to throw those out routes.
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: Like I don't think I would start any of those guys, but maybe that's a good recipe for um for those uh for George Pickens sneak play if you're like an emergency flex start.
- 26:59SPEAKER_01: Friarmouth isn't necessarily like a first option, huh?
- 27:03SPEAKER_00: Friarmouth is banged up too, which could help Pickens.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: Oh no, I'm not playing.
- 27:07SPEAKER_01: No, you're you're playing like you're you're looking at like an emergency flex George Pickens.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: Like that's I think that could be something that could because I think uh he he could have that um that chemistry with Trubinsky, you know, like Travinsky's gonna look for the number one guy.
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: Who do you feed?
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: The guy that could win you the team, and who's that guy, that emotional guy, that emotional connection, that receiver is George Pickens.
- 27:30SPEAKER_01: That's your number one, right?
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and uh that's you got to win.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: And that the Steelers off our defense is obviously they're saving grace, which they they might have a good game because you know the Ravens backfield is beat up, and their receiving core is very limited outside of Mark Andrews.
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: So we'll see what happens.
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: And Zay Flowers, maybe, but we'll see.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: So yeah, ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the shit call of the week.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: But you know what?
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: It wasn't all bad.
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: It's like one of those ghost shits where there's nothing on the paper.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: Manny, who is your shit call of the week?
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: Well, that's real easy, Joe.
- 28:21SPEAKER_01: I have to look back at the week for the past week and I thought about my shit call.
- 28:25SPEAKER_01: And it's real easy.
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: My my shit call last week was I didn't have any shit calls last week.
- 28:31SPEAKER_01: They were all highlights, Joe.
- 28:33SPEAKER_01: I didn't call one shit call.
- 28:34SPEAKER_01: And if you don't believe me, check out all the videos from last week, they're all time stamped.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: I did check out the videos, and you're correct.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: Your calls are all on point, and that's why everyone should be listening to this channel.
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: I didn't really have much to talk about either.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: Um, but if I had to choose anything, it would be I said the Bears were gonna run a train on the Broncos, and um, that was a maybe a little bit of an emotional statement because you know the Broncos looked so bad against Miami that I just sounds more sexual than emotional.
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: Can be both.
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: So it was uh a lot, uh, a lot of uh back and forth, actually, you know, and the first score was Denver, actually, but then right in the second quarter, uh Chicago scored three touchdowns.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: I knew it was gonna be a good game for Justin Fields and the Denver offense.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: You you called Herbert having a big game, and I thought it was and you called DJ Moore having a big game.
- 29:35SPEAKER_00: I thought Roshan Johnson was gonna get a little more involved.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: But long story short, I thought they were just gonna destroy the Denver Broncos, and it was a very high scoring game like I expected, but it was only a three-point difference.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: That's about that's about all I could say.
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: Most of our calls were were pretty good, pretty, pretty, pretty good last week.
- 29:57SPEAKER_01: Oh my.
- 29:58SPEAKER_01: But yeah, for sure.
- 29:59SPEAKER_01: That was uh, I mean, uh, that was uh that was a good I mean let's talk about that game, for example.
- 30:06SPEAKER_01: So that was just people talk about we were talking about the the Eagles Redskins game last week, how they you know they kicked the field goal, and people are like, why didn't they go for two?
- 30:17SPEAKER_01: So that game is a prime example of when you go for two and you miss it, and then people ask, why didn't you kick the extra point?
- 30:27SPEAKER_01: Or or sorry, they went for the uh on fourth down with two minutes left in the fourth quarter, and they could have been up by three points.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: And what ended up happening, they punted the ball with two minutes left.
- 30:38SPEAKER_01: The other team kicked marched it down, kicked the field goal, and they won by three points because they couldn't get another possession in two minutes, you know, when they got the ball back.
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: So see it all this time.
- 30:48SPEAKER_01: That's a prime example.
- 31:01SPEAKER_01: All right, ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the big balls call of the week.
- 31:06SPEAKER_01: All right, Joe.
- 31:07SPEAKER_01: Who has your big cojones of the week this time?
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm actually talking about a game rather than individual, and I think the 49ers are going to beat the Cowboys by two touchdowns.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: I think they're both really good teams, but I think the 49ers offense is visibly better and just statistically overall better than the Cowboys, a lot better.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: So even though they both have great teams, I think that the Cowboys have a really rock solid defense that has been kind of carrying them, um, you know, getting a lot of these W's for them.
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: And the 49ers look great on offense and on defense.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: They they look awesome on offense.
- 31:52SPEAKER_00: And um I think it's going to be a more one-sided game than everybody else does.
- 31:58SPEAKER_00: And I I think the Niners are gonna beat the Cowboys by two touchdowns.
- 32:05SPEAKER_01: I definitely can disagree.
- 32:07SPEAKER_01: Um Cowboys are one-dimensional, you know.
- 32:11SPEAKER_01: They they the defense does carry them.
- 32:14SPEAKER_01: You know, they're you're gonna see that against a uh superior team like the Niners.
- 32:17SPEAKER_01: So yeah, I can definitely see that happening.
- 32:20SPEAKER_01: Um's call.
- 32:31SPEAKER_00: Who's your big balls call of the week?
- 32:34SPEAKER_01: All right, for my big balls call.
- 32:37SPEAKER_01: All right, I'm I'm calling uh Aaron Jones comeback game right now.
- 32:42SPEAKER_01: For those those of you that have them or don't have them, buy low right now.
- 32:47SPEAKER_01: I told you about uh buy low on Josh Jacobs last week.
- 32:52SPEAKER_01: If you bought low on him, there's some of you that did Gendry.
- 32:54SPEAKER_01: Congratulations.
- 32:56SPEAKER_01: You bought low.
- 32:57SPEAKER_01: And guess what?
- 32:58SPEAKER_01: You emerged a winner.
- 32:59SPEAKER_01: He had a 30-point game last week, and that's just a start.
- 33:02SPEAKER_01: Like I said, no training camp, no practice.
- 33:04SPEAKER_01: He's he's gonna You were right about that too.
- 33:06SPEAKER_00: You said that last week.
- 33:07SPEAKER_00: I wasn't as high on him, but you were.
- 33:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and and that's it's it's a long season, but he's he's a workhorse, guys.
- 33:14SPEAKER_01: He's they're gonna run that guy to the ground, and he he could take it.
- 33:17SPEAKER_01: He's a he's a good back.
- 33:18SPEAKER_01: But uh Aaron Jones, another one of those workhorses, they're gonna lean on him.
- 33:22SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be uh it's gonna be a back and forth.
- 33:24SPEAKER_01: I mean, uh Green Bay versus uh Las Vegas on Monday.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: I mean, he's coming back from injury, he had like a very limited workload coming back from that hamstring, and he's at 100%.
- 33:34SPEAKER_01: They actually had a quote from Aaron Jones that says, I feel like I'll be able to go out there against Vegas Monday night and be a hundred percent.
- 33:41SPEAKER_01: So Aaron Jones just quoted that here today.
- 33:44SPEAKER_01: So I feel very confident about him being healthy, and I think Green Bay wants to make a statement because they were able to throw on the pass, but they've been playing some catch-up games and some a lot of games from behind, and I don't think they want to play that kind of game.
- 33:59SPEAKER_01: You know, they want to lead, and though they know that the only way they can lead is by running the ball efficiently, and they can't run the ball unless Aaron Jones is healthy because we saw what AJ Dillon did, which was absolutely nothing, you know, even their backup running back, nothing.
- 34:13SPEAKER_01: Like, I know if you don't have Aaron Jones in there, like he is he is uh one of the most efficient backs you ever see in fantasy football.
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: That man will get 15 touches for like 120 yards and like two touchdowns.
- 34:25SPEAKER_01: He's one of the most efficient guys you ever see in a fantasy season.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: Very involved in the run and pass game, and like you just said, we don't see AJ Dillon doing anything, so they've got you know one workhorse back that they can count on, and that's it.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: And um, we all knew he wasn't healthy last week, and he's saying he's 100%, and I feel like he's coming back very strong, too.
- 34:46SPEAKER_00: I love that call.
- 34:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 34:51SPEAKER_01: All right, thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for joining us here again, another episode of Fantasy Football Fumble.
- 34:56SPEAKER_01: It's your boy Manny James Games over here with Joe the Birdman.
- 34:59SPEAKER_01: Joe, you got any closing out uh statements for our people over here?
- 35:03SPEAKER_00: No, just thank you everybody for tuning in.
- 35:05SPEAKER_00: We got the starts and sits on Sunday.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: Uh, player profiles throughout the week.
- 35:12SPEAKER_00: Like I said, tune in.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: Let us know if there's something else you want to see, if there's a specific player that you want us to cover for a profile.
- 35:21SPEAKER_01: All right, guys, take it easy.
- 35:22SPEAKER_01: Thank you so for the follow, and we'll see you guys same time, same place next week.
- 35:26SPEAKER_01: All right, guys.
