- 2:28Speaker 1: heard that.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I just was not expecting that.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Before we get into the recap of this episode, we
- 2:37Speaker 1: do have some hot goss. We do somebody out there
- 2:42Speaker 1: in Flagstaff lacks her haunted doll. Cut it girl.
- 2:48Speaker 2: This shit came out on Reddit like not too long ago,
- 2:51Speaker 2: and I think it resurfaced like a lot of people
- 2:54Speaker 2: were talking about it. Apparently Robin Brown forgot to make
- 2:59Speaker 2: her Etsy Favorite list private and her purchase is private,
- 3:03Speaker 2: so it was public and people went and found it
- 3:07Speaker 2: and did a deep dive of everything she's on Etsy,
- 3:10Speaker 2: and somebody on Reddit totaled it like thirty thousand dollars
- 3:15Speaker 2: worth of like American girl dolls and the clothes for
- 3:18Speaker 2: the American girl dolls, and like accessories for these American
- 3:22Speaker 2: girl dolls, and she leaves reviews on all of these
- 3:26Speaker 2: things that she's purchased, like, oh my god, this is
- 3:27Speaker 2: such a beautiful doll, Like the hem workmanship is so amazing,
- 3:32Speaker 2: blah blah blah. The clothing is so beautiful. It goes
- 3:36Speaker 2: really well with my jolly and myty thousand dollars, yeah,
- 3:39Speaker 2: doll clothes. But then without a crystal ball, don't fucking
- 3:43Speaker 2: come for me. Okay, without a crystal ball. Did a
- 3:45Speaker 2: couple videos on this, y'all can go watch it if
- 3:47Speaker 2: you want, but she said it was actually upwards of
- 3:50Speaker 2: sixty thousand dollars.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Now on the dolls or the dolls, on the clothes,
- 3:55Speaker 1: Oh my.
- 3:55Speaker 2: God, on Etsy, all on Etsy. And so now Robin's
- 3:58Speaker 2: Etsy is private because everybody found it and started exposing her.
- 4:03Speaker 1: But bendable income. Do you have to purchase sixty thousand
- 4:08Speaker 1: in doll clothes and.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Doll it's all Janelle's income.
- 4:12Speaker 1: It's not Janail's income, and it's Mary's incomm Now I'm
- 4:17Speaker 1: wondering if this is like a sound financial investment. I
- 4:22Speaker 1: don't know, like what the right of return is if
- 4:25Speaker 1: you sell a doll after a few years, is it
- 4:27Speaker 1: game in value?
- 4:29Speaker 2: I don't think she's selling it.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Is that what's in the base?
- 4:32Speaker 2: I think so all of its packs ups.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why she doesn't want us in her house. Yeah,
- 4:38Speaker 1: because she's displaying all these haunted, freaked out dolls exactly.
- 4:41Speaker 2: And she's like playing with them, like she's dressing them
- 4:44Speaker 2: for certain time periods and stuff, like she's buying like
- 4:47Speaker 2: Renaissance clothing, yes, and like medieval stuff, and she's buying
- 4:51Speaker 2: certain costumes for the time of year for these particular dolls.
- 4:55Speaker 2: And then people also found the junk journal that she bought.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Mary she found it.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Somebody found I mean when Mary was moving.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Yeah, so somebody found a couple other purchases. So she's
- 5:05Speaker 2: purchased multiple junk journals and those are upwards of one
- 5:09Speaker 2: hundred and seventy five dollars a pop for one journal.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Uh huh for that ugly fucking journal.
- 5:14Speaker 1: They are rolling in dough, other people's dough. So these
- 5:19Speaker 1: aren't dolls that are on display. These are dolls that
- 5:24Speaker 1: you think she's in some craft room somewhere playing with
- 5:27Speaker 1: like two yeah Gi Joe toys. If you're a toddler boy,
- 5:31Speaker 1: little girl.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Well, American girl dolls like back in the day used
- 5:35Speaker 2: to be kind of cool for little kids. Yeah, Like
- 5:38Speaker 2: I wanted an American girl doll when I was nine
- 5:40Speaker 2: years old because I thought they were still cool. Yeah. Pretty,
- 5:42Speaker 2: But as like a forty six year old woman, like,
- 5:44Speaker 2: why are you collecting American girl.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Because she has more money than she knows what to
- 5:50Speaker 1: do with. I guess I can't even imagine being a
- 5:55Speaker 1: part of a polygamist family where one of the wives
- 6:00Speaker 1: is literally in an RV that she had to fund herself.
- 6:04Speaker 1: But if she's not in the RV, then she's in
- 6:06Speaker 1: a rented dormitory apartment or in a rented home. And
- 6:09Speaker 1: I'm out here with my big mansion and all of
- 6:13Speaker 1: my fucking things, yeah, plus a bunch of haunted dolls. Now,
- 6:18Speaker 1: is it just American girl dolls or are they like
- 6:21Speaker 1: the creepy porcelain dolls from like the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
- 6:26Speaker 2: I think they're mainly American Girl dolls, but there are
- 6:29Speaker 2: some collectible ones for American Girl, like there are some
- 6:31Speaker 2: that are like porcelain and shit like that. So the
- 6:34Speaker 2: American Girl dolls are just the most expensive ones that
- 6:37Speaker 2: she's been purchasing. I don't know if people liked a
- 6:40Speaker 2: did a deep dive and saw other antique ones that
- 6:43Speaker 2: she was buying or what. But she was like buying
- 6:45Speaker 2: also custom made clothing and custom made dolls. Like, she
- 6:49Speaker 2: was ordering stuff. So it wasn't even just once she
- 6:51Speaker 2: was purchasing that were like available in catalog. She was
- 6:54Speaker 2: a specialty ordering, like I want a doll with brown
- 6:58Speaker 2: hair and green eyes, and I want that she bones
- 7:00Speaker 2: to be right here and I want to Like that's
- 7:02Speaker 2: what she was doing.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Remember, Beatrice, this is a woman who does not work. Yeah,
- 7:07Speaker 1: she does not work. Her only job is TLC. Cody's
- 7:10Speaker 1: only job is TLC. Now how far back do these
- 7:13Speaker 1: purchases go, Like are these recent purchases or are these
- 7:16Speaker 1: like purchases that she's making ten years ago?
- 7:18Speaker 2: I don't remember what the Reddit posts said, because it's
- 7:21Speaker 2: been deleted, I think without a crystal ball says how
- 7:24Speaker 2: long it's been, But it's been over a few years,
- 7:26Speaker 2: and some of them were recent.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Yeah, oh my god.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Wow, isn't that embarrassing? Yeah, it's embarrassing because she has
- 7:34Speaker 1: terrible taste and absolutely everything, not just home decor, but
- 7:37Speaker 1: also obviously dolls and her clothing. Yeah, and her hair
- 7:41Speaker 1: and her makeup and her eyelashes. All of this is
- 7:43Speaker 1: very bad. Yes, But I'm just like, the audacity to
- 7:47Speaker 1: have all of this surplus money while you have children
- 7:51Speaker 1: and other moms who are in need of funding. Yeah,
- 7:55Speaker 1: you're not paying child support for Savannah. Of course, Savannah
- 7:58Speaker 1: has turned eighteen nineteen already, but you weren't paying child support.
- 8:01Speaker 1: You weren't paying child support for truly, Christine had to
- 8:04Speaker 1: take your ass to court to resolve that. But you're
- 8:07Speaker 1: out here buying all these dolls.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Wow?
- 8:09Speaker 1: Wild, I know.
- 8:10Speaker 2: And it would support the theory that Robin's been a
- 8:12Speaker 2: chopaholic like this entire time, Like she came into this
- 8:15Speaker 2: family with debt from Victoria's secret or whatever she was purchasing,
- 8:19Speaker 2: So she's got a fucking problem, Like why are you
- 8:21Speaker 2: spending all of this money on a bunch of bullshit
- 8:24Speaker 2: that's just collecting dust in your basement.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Has anybody else, like in the family confirmed that she
- 8:30Speaker 1: has the doll problem, not that I know. Has anybody
- 8:33Speaker 1: seen the dolls?
- 8:34Speaker 2: I think there might be footage of the older seasons.
- 8:37Speaker 2: We need to keep an eye out with our monocles
- 8:39Speaker 2: to see if we can find some of these dolls
- 8:41Speaker 2: in the rewinds, because yeah, apparently it's been a it's
- 8:45Speaker 2: been a long thing that she's been doing.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah, well, thank you for that, TB. That's certainly enraging.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I know, very very upset about this. Yeah. Oh, justice
- 8:55Speaker 1: for the og wives for real. All right, let's get
- 8:59Speaker 1: into this rewind episode again. We're season six, episode one entitled.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Picking up the Pieces.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Picking Up the Pieces? Interesting.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Well, I think it's like because season five, we're still
- 9:14Speaker 2: in Vegas, like they just moved from Utah. Everybody's unsettled,
- 9:20Speaker 2: Like everybody's in their weird rental homes, nobody see each other.
- 9:24Speaker 2: The family's failing, Like I think that's what it is like,
- 9:27Speaker 2: trying to pick up the pieces of their life. Okay,
- 9:29Speaker 2: and in shamble.
- 9:30Speaker 1: And like create some sort of a cohesive family structure.
- 9:34Speaker 1: We did see like a lot of the flashbacks to
- 9:37Speaker 1: their fleeing Utah in the middle of the night because
- 9:40Speaker 1: they were in danger or whatever whatever. We also saw
- 9:44Speaker 1: a flashback of Christine on the couch saying like I
- 9:47Speaker 1: need help with all these kids, Like I spent my
- 9:50Speaker 1: entire life raising all of your children, and I need help.
- 9:53Speaker 1: And now all of a sudden, nobody wants to come
- 9:55Speaker 1: over to my house. Nobody wants to walk the one
- 9:57Speaker 1: mile down to my house and help me out. And
- 10:00Speaker 1: this is in the flashback where she says, like we
- 10:02Speaker 1: are failing as a family. I mean, she called it,
- 10:06Speaker 1: she did, and she wasn't lying yet. So here we
- 10:08Speaker 1: are on the verge of moving into the homes, like
- 10:13Speaker 1: they're being constructed at this time.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I find it so interesting that even at this time,
- 10:19Speaker 1: two months before they're supposed to move in, they're still
- 10:22Speaker 1: only pre qualified for loans. I know, like they're still
- 10:26Speaker 1: at risk for not all four of them being able
- 10:29Speaker 1: to move into these homes because maybe one of these
- 10:32Speaker 1: wives doesn't have what it takes Robin Robin, Robin bitch
- 10:36Speaker 1: ass to actually fully qualify.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Yeah, which is very interesting. I don't know what the
- 10:41Speaker 2: whole finances are in this thing, like how they were
- 10:44Speaker 2: able to pull this off with four properties and how
- 10:47Speaker 2: they don't really like own them yet. But then they're
- 10:50Speaker 2: going to the framing walk through and then they're dictating
- 10:52Speaker 2: like what window goes here and can I change that?
- 10:56Speaker 2: And oh, this is a mistake. Like it's very bizarre.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Because they've already put down deposits probably so they've already
- 11:04Speaker 1: put some earnest money or some money toward the building
- 11:07Speaker 1: of these homes. But if they were to default on
- 11:11Speaker 1: the loans, we'll not default on the loans. If they
- 11:12Speaker 1: were not able to fund the loans because they didn't
- 11:15Speaker 1: fully qualify, then they would lose that earnest money, lose
- 11:18Speaker 1: those deposits. So they stand. Remember they had to write
- 11:21Speaker 1: the checks and right the end of season five, and
- 11:23Speaker 1: it was like five thousand per wife, right, so that
- 11:25Speaker 1: was the down payment that they were making to the builder.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I think in order for them to start building these homes.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Even then that's like not a lot from these four homes,
- 11:35Speaker 2: not at all, that's crazy.
- 11:37Speaker 1: But it's still very precarious for them because what are
- 11:39Speaker 1: they going to do if only Christine and Mary can
- 11:43Speaker 1: fund their homes. But Janelle and Robin Kent, are you
- 11:45Speaker 1: going to give into these homes? Exactly where's everybody else
- 11:49Speaker 1: going to go?
- 11:49Speaker 2: I mean, luckily they were able to do it, but
- 11:51Speaker 2: I'm excited to see how that happens. And like when
- 11:55Speaker 2: we get to the final conversation where they signed the
- 11:57Speaker 2: paperwork and they move into the houses, I'm excited to
- 11:59Speaker 2: see them kind of go into it because right now
- 12:02Speaker 2: it's still really crazy to me because they start with
- 12:05Speaker 2: the framing walk through in this episode and they're going
- 12:07Speaker 2: to each one's house, and they start with Robin's house.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Of course, she's Firse, and I thought it was interesting
- 12:13Speaker 2: how she goes into the master bedroom and she's like, oh,
- 12:17Speaker 2: I thought that though I was supposed to be this,
- 12:19Speaker 2: why not this way? And can we change that? And
- 12:21Speaker 2: the builder's like, yeah, it would cost extra money and
- 12:23Speaker 2: she's like, oh okay, cool, Like that's great, And then
- 12:26Speaker 2: we go over to Mary's house. Same thing. She has
- 12:29Speaker 2: to patch up a hole in a wall or something.
- 12:31Speaker 2: There was a doorway where she didn't want a doorway,
- 12:34Speaker 2: so that's going to cost money too. We get to
- 12:36Speaker 2: Janelle's house, there's no problems, and then we get to
- 12:38Speaker 2: Christine's and she has an issue with one of her
- 12:42Speaker 2: entryway rooms, and Cody's like, no, no, no, let's just deal
- 12:45Speaker 2: with it. Let's just make it into a library.
- 12:47Speaker 1: It's supposed to be a formal dining room. And he's like, well,
- 12:50Speaker 1: maybe we don't need a formal dining room. Maybe you
- 12:53Speaker 1: and your trashy ass kids can just eat right there
- 12:56Speaker 1: in the kitchen and we can make this a library, which,
- 12:59Speaker 1: of course Ristina so dumb, and she says, oh my god,
- 13:02Speaker 1: I love books and I love to read, so yes,
- 13:07Speaker 1: so she agrees to that, So no changes will be made.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Yeah, because they don't want to spend the money on
- 13:11Speaker 2: Christine's house, but let's spend the money on Robin's new
- 13:14Speaker 2: window and Mary's wall that she needs fixed.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Right with Robin's window, it sounded like Robin had requested
- 13:23Speaker 1: the change from a bigger window. She wanted a double hung,
- 13:27Speaker 1: but the double hung was going to be more narrow,
- 13:29Speaker 1: but that is what she wanted, and so anything Robin
- 13:32Speaker 1: wants she gets. But it's a smaller window. And so
- 13:35Speaker 1: now that she's seeing it, she's like, oh, okay, well
- 13:38Speaker 1: I wanted to be a bigger window though, so let's
- 13:41Speaker 1: change it. So she's making stupid decisions. You can tell
- 13:44Speaker 1: this is a woman who doesn't have a lot of
- 13:46Speaker 1: life or work experience. She does not know how money works,
- 13:50Speaker 1: like it's a little frustrating. But then contrasts that with Janelle,
- 13:54Speaker 1: She's like, it's fine, Like whatever, I don't even need
- 13:57Speaker 1: a dinasm. I don't even need to live in. I
- 13:59Speaker 1: just want to just can I someplace to lay my
- 14:02Speaker 1: hat and take care of my kids. She's so easy,
- 14:05Speaker 1: she is very easy.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Robin is so high maintenance, even in like how she's dressing.
- 14:10Speaker 2: If you've noticed, she's got all of these rings on,
- 14:12Speaker 2: She's got all these jewel like bracelets and a necklace,
- 14:15Speaker 2: and she's got these French tip nails. I'm like, how
- 14:18Speaker 2: are you paying for all that? Mm hmm without your
- 14:20Speaker 2: TLC paycheck? Is that what your budget goes to? Okay,
- 14:24Speaker 2: got it?
- 14:24Speaker 1: Unless she's marketing her own inventory, maybe my sister wife's stuff.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 14:30Speaker 2: It's ugly.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I don't know, yes, very ugly.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Well, let's get into my sister wife stuff, because after
- 14:34Speaker 2: the framing walkthroughs, then we get into a family my
- 14:38Speaker 2: sister wife's closet meeting.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I love these Mormon meetings where one wife is inevitably
- 14:45Speaker 1: disappointed and angry because the other members of the family
- 14:49Speaker 1: don't agree with her scheme. And this time it's Robin.
- 14:52Speaker 2: It's so good and it's so obvious, like she's even saying,
- 14:55Speaker 2: like framing it, like the gifts that I made for
- 14:58Speaker 2: all of the wives last year was a message to
- 15:00Speaker 2: them that we should get this business going with my
- 15:03Speaker 2: Sister R's closet, because I think it's going to be
- 15:06Speaker 2: very successful, and I think it's going to be a
- 15:08Speaker 2: way for the family to come together, and I think
- 15:10Speaker 2: it's going to be very lucrative. But it's like the
- 15:14Speaker 2: worst idea ever.
- 15:15Speaker 1: And it's not lucrative. So apparently at the time of
- 15:17Speaker 1: this Mormon meeting, it has been approximately six months since
- 15:21Speaker 1: they launched My Sister Wive's Closet online only online. For
- 15:26Speaker 1: some reason, unfortunately, they're not getting a whole lot of orders,
- 15:30Speaker 1: and of course we know retrospectively it's because a it
- 15:34Speaker 1: looks like ball sas and is ugly, or titties yea
- 15:37Speaker 1: hang down drupid titties, and or b it's very expensive.
- 15:42Speaker 1: They're charging way more than it's worse, and so people
- 15:44Speaker 1: are going to visit the website, but nobody's purchasing. Yeah,
- 15:48Speaker 1: and so what they're going to do the next days
- 15:51Speaker 1: they're going to leave for an expo in Saint George, Utah,
- 15:56Speaker 1: where Robin is of the mind that if people could
- 15:58Speaker 1: just touch this necklace up, if you could just see
- 16:02Speaker 1: and be present with these rings, you will really get it.
- 16:06Speaker 1: And then I'll be able to tell you my story
- 16:08Speaker 1: like this. This is from the time where I gave
- 16:12Speaker 1: a necklace to Mary her and I felt a lightning
- 16:15Speaker 1: bolt in my Poonnadie, and God was present, and people
- 16:21Speaker 1: are gonna buy all of this stuff. So she really
- 16:23Speaker 1: believes the expo is what their business is going to
- 16:26Speaker 1: turn upon. Now you look across that table and you
- 16:29Speaker 1: see Janelle. Janelle is my girl, and she's just like,
- 16:32Speaker 1: I gotta feed my kids though literally, like they need
- 16:35Speaker 1: to eat.
- 16:36Speaker 2: We need bread and butter.
- 16:37Speaker 1: And so if this doesn't work, if we're not selling
- 16:39Speaker 1: at least one hundred big ticket units in Saint George
- 16:43Speaker 1: at this expo, I'm gonna have to focus on my
- 16:45Speaker 1: realtor business, honey, uh huh. And then you have Christine.
- 16:48Speaker 1: This was so good, and she's just like I'm not
- 16:51Speaker 1: willing to give you any more than I have already
- 16:54Speaker 1: given you, Like I don't know how you're operating under
- 16:57Speaker 1: the assumption that I give a shit, Robin. I don't
- 16:59Speaker 1: give shit. I don't believe in what you're designing, and
- 17:02Speaker 1: I don't want to do anything else to further this
- 17:05Speaker 1: hobby business.
- 17:06Speaker 2: So fucking good. Christine even says in her talking head,
- 17:09Speaker 2: She's like, I am invested when I come to this meeting,
- 17:12Speaker 2: and I'm not groaning and rolling my eyes and leaving early.
- 17:15Speaker 1: That's how I'm supporting you.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Literally, my support Your reward.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Is me not calling you out right now for this
- 17:21Speaker 1: really stupid business idea.
- 17:23Speaker 2: My god. And then Cody surprised me out of all
- 17:26Speaker 2: of them because he was like, I don't even want
- 17:28Speaker 2: to fucking do this, Like this is a dumb idea,
- 17:30Speaker 2: Like you didn't say that, but he's just like this
- 17:32Speaker 2: is not interesting to me. I don't want to work
- 17:35Speaker 2: with y'all, Like I don't want to do this. This
- 17:37Speaker 2: is a hobby.
- 17:38Speaker 1: This is not even a hobby because I don't like
- 17:40Speaker 1: and enjoy what I am doing. This is a bummer,
- 17:42Speaker 1: this is a burden. Yeah, And it was interesting because
- 17:46Speaker 1: in the last couple two three seasons. Hasn't he blamed
- 17:50Speaker 1: the other wives, Yeah, for tanking my sister wives closet. Yeah,
- 17:54Speaker 1: And I know he said in this season he's like,
- 17:56Speaker 1: I wish I would have been more supportive. I feel
- 17:59Speaker 1: really guilty and I have regrets about not being as
- 18:01Speaker 1: supportive as as I could have been when you look
- 18:05Speaker 1: back on the footage, like he's the most negative out
- 18:08Speaker 1: of them all. They're all negative except for Mary, uh huh.
- 18:11Speaker 1: But Cody is like the most negative person about this
- 18:14Speaker 1: business idea, because Cody wants to see a return on
- 18:17Speaker 1: his investment. And Janelle even says at the table something like,
- 18:21Speaker 1: we put a lot more money into this business than
- 18:25Speaker 1: just a hobby business. Like it sounds like they paid
- 18:28Speaker 1: a lot of money for their website, whatever they're paying
- 18:31Speaker 1: to have these designs come into fruition. Sounds like it's
- 18:35Speaker 1: costing them a lot for that inventory. And so they've
- 18:38Speaker 1: already spent a lot. And you know, she wanted to
- 18:41Speaker 1: spend that money on her fundamental fitness Mormon Jim. Everybody
- 18:45Speaker 1: shot her down, yep. And now here they are spending
- 18:48Speaker 1: all this money on Robin, on.
- 18:49Speaker 2: A dumb online jewelry business ugly jewelry, like it is
- 18:53Speaker 2: so ugly, like I can't even believe it.
- 18:56Speaker 1: And their branding is so dumb.
- 18:59Speaker 2: It is so fucking bad.
- 19:00Speaker 1: You see when they go to Saint George and everybody's
- 19:03Speaker 1: having this visceral reaction to the name of their sister
- 19:07Speaker 1: wife closet, which is obviously a tip of the hat
- 19:09Speaker 1: to them being polygamous.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 19:11Speaker 1: And you're going to Saint George, yes, where Warren Jeff's
- 19:14Speaker 1: had all of his child brides and everything. These are
- 19:17Speaker 1: a traumatized people. They don't want your polygamis horseshit in
- 19:21Speaker 1: Saint George.
- 19:22Speaker 2: That's what I was thinking the entire time watching this.
- 19:24Speaker 2: I'm like, why would you even go to this expo
- 19:27Speaker 2: in a town where you had to get approval just
- 19:29Speaker 2: to go into the expo? Because they were like, I
- 19:31Speaker 2: don't know if this is gonna be good. Somebody at
- 19:33Speaker 2: TLC was like, please just have them at your expo,
- 19:36Speaker 2: like we'll pay you money. And they go to this expo,
- 19:38Speaker 2: nobody's interested in it. You have interviews with people from
- 19:42Speaker 2: the town that are like, polygamy is fucking disgusting.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I offer them. I hate them. I think they're openly hostile.
- 19:48Speaker 1: A lot of them are openly hostile.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Why would you ever go here, go to Phoenix.
- 19:53Speaker 1: You're not that far away from Tucson where they've got
- 19:57Speaker 1: those big gem shows and stuff. Take your TACKI over there.
- 20:00Speaker 2: I just don't get it. And like even Janelle and
- 20:03Speaker 2: Mary like, sorry, not Janelle and Mary. Janelle and Christine
- 20:07Speaker 2: in the meeting and at the expo, they're trying to
- 20:10Speaker 2: be supportive to Robin in the sense of like we'll
- 20:13Speaker 2: be there, like we'll go there, we'll try and help
- 20:15Speaker 2: you sell it. But then after the expo being a
- 20:17Speaker 2: total failure, Janelle and Christine are like, yeah, I think
- 20:21Speaker 2: it's because of our sales pitch. It's too long. Like
- 20:24Speaker 2: nobody cares about the fucking story. I think that the
- 20:26Speaker 2: whole sister Wife name is a turn off for everybody.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Like maybe we should rebrand and maybe we should do
- 20:32Speaker 2: something different. But Robin is not hearing any of that
- 20:35Speaker 2: because she doesn't give a shit. This is her dream,
- 20:38Speaker 2: this is her business. But she's saying it's not her business.
- 20:41Speaker 2: It's everyone's business that she's forcing people to go to.
- 20:44Speaker 1: It's not even that she says at the end of
- 20:47Speaker 1: this episode, if we want to succeed as a family
- 20:50Speaker 1: and be unified. We need a business. Yeah, this business
- 20:54Speaker 1: is going to keep us together something to that effect. Okay,
- 20:58Speaker 1: so you're hinging the success us or the failure of
- 21:01Speaker 1: this family on your stupid jewelry design business. What a narc.
- 21:06Speaker 2: It's seriously what a narc, honestly, and then when it fails,
- 21:09Speaker 2: you're going to blame the wives, which Janelle and Christine
- 21:13Speaker 2: are literally selling this shit at the expo. Like Christine
- 21:15Speaker 2: is loud, she's like introducing herself to people. She's active
- 21:19Speaker 2: and involved in this whole thing, and you want to
- 21:21Speaker 2: blame them for the failure.
- 21:22Speaker 1: And they're also being very honest with you.
- 21:24Speaker 2: They are.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Christine's like that was exhausting. I never want to go
- 21:28Speaker 1: to another expo. We're not selling the pieces. So there's
- 21:32Speaker 1: something in this business idea that's not translating to people,
- 21:36Speaker 1: like either let's figure that out or let's just focus
- 21:38Speaker 1: on something else. And you also have Janelle talking about
- 21:41Speaker 1: how it's part of their family identity and structure to
- 21:45Speaker 1: have multiple streams of grifting Mormon income exactly, and so
- 21:49Speaker 1: that's just what they do. Yeah, and so she's kind
- 21:52Speaker 1: of resisting Robin's idea that well, we should all just
- 21:54Speaker 1: have one business. It'll keep us all together and we
- 21:57Speaker 1: don't have to go outside of that one business to
- 21:59Speaker 1: make more money. And Janelle's like, let us do what
- 22:02Speaker 1: we know how to do and what we've been doing
- 22:04Speaker 1: successfully for twenty five years before your bitch ass came
- 22:08Speaker 1: into the equation.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Rabbit, honestly. And I loved how Janelle and Christine kept
- 22:12Speaker 2: bringing up their real estate stuff because they literally paid
- 22:15Speaker 2: and spent the money and time and energy to get
- 22:18Speaker 2: their real estate license. And you want them to waste
- 22:21Speaker 2: time at a fucking three day expo four hours away
- 22:24Speaker 2: selling your ball sack jewelry. It's like crazy to me.
- 22:29Speaker 2: And then the other thing too that I thought was
- 22:31Speaker 2: absolutely insane about Robin is that Mary has a scheduling
- 22:35Speaker 2: conflict with this fucking expo. Yes, She's like, I've got
- 22:38Speaker 2: to go do a banquet with Leon or whatever. I
- 22:42Speaker 2: can't make it, I think to the first day, because
- 22:45Speaker 2: Leon's banquet was at three and the expo started at
- 22:49Speaker 2: three thirty or something like that, I don't know. And
- 22:52Speaker 2: Mary was like, I mean I could drive up there,
- 22:54Speaker 2: but I'll only be there for half an hour and
- 22:55Speaker 2: then I have to drive back, and Cody's like that
- 22:57Speaker 2: doesn't make any fucking sense, like, don't waste the time,
- 23:00Speaker 2: just don't come that day.
- 23:01Speaker 1: With the money, because that's going to eat into your profit.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Hello. And then Robin Pipe seven is like, well no,
- 23:06Speaker 2: but I actually want her there, and everyone's like for
- 23:09Speaker 2: a half an hour? You want Mary to drive up
- 23:11Speaker 2: four hours? Just for a half an hour. Robin's like, yeah,
- 23:14Speaker 2: because I think it's important because Mary's a pusher and
- 23:16Speaker 2: she's the only one dedicated and all these other women
- 23:18Speaker 2: are lazy ass.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Bitches pretty much what she's saying. Though, then we get
- 23:22Speaker 1: into this conversation about how Mary is the one that
- 23:25Speaker 1: pushes and she like makes sure what's gotta be done
- 23:29Speaker 1: gets done. We saw that when they did the caravan
- 23:31Speaker 1: to Nauvo, and she was the one who like mapped
- 23:34Speaker 1: it all out and made sure people were trying to
- 23:35Speaker 1: leave on time and the whole thing. So that's in
- 23:38Speaker 1: Mary's nature, and I think Robin does want her there
- 23:41Speaker 1: because Mary will organize the shit out of that. As
- 23:44Speaker 1: a Capricorn, you know she will, sure, but she really
- 23:47Speaker 1: wants her there because Mary is the only person in
- 23:50Speaker 1: her corner. Feels like Mary is the only person who
- 23:53Speaker 1: actually believes in this idea. Yeah, and we also have
- 23:55Speaker 1: at the end of this episode, Mary saying something like,
- 23:58Speaker 1: I don't know why Robin feels the need to require
- 24:02Speaker 1: everybody else to be a part of this, Like I
- 24:03Speaker 1: feel like we could hustle this out. I feel like
- 24:05Speaker 1: her and I we could do this, We could come
- 24:07Speaker 1: up with a game plan, we could be super successful. Yeah,
- 24:09Speaker 1: but she's needing all these other people to be on board,
- 24:12Speaker 1: and that doesn't make sense to me. And at the
- 24:14Speaker 1: end of the day, ultimately that's the question, like why, Robin,
- 24:17Speaker 1: Is it because you need to control people? Is it
- 24:20Speaker 1: because you need to be the head bitch in charge? Why?
- 24:24Speaker 2: I don't know. To me, it felt like she was
- 24:26Speaker 2: compensating for something, like she was really insistent on doing
- 24:30Speaker 2: this business, so everyone thought that she was trying in
- 24:33Speaker 2: the family, or like she was trying to make money.
- 24:35Speaker 2: I'm wondering if people were noticing that she was spending
- 24:39Speaker 2: a lot of money in these earlier seasons, and so
- 24:41Speaker 2: she's doing this as a way of like, no, like
- 24:43Speaker 2: I'm actually contributing to the family. I'm not spending all
- 24:46Speaker 2: of your money on my friendship. Nails and my ugly
- 24:49Speaker 2: like rings and jewelry and stuff. No, like I'm actually contributing.
- 24:52Speaker 2: I'm wondering if it's that, because it doesn't make any
- 24:55Speaker 2: other sense.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Well, what makes sense is that she's fancying herself as designer.
- 25:00Speaker 1: So in terms of this business and her contribution to
- 25:03Speaker 1: this business, she wants to be the talent. I'm the creative.
- 25:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna sit here with my sketch pad and you know,
- 25:09Speaker 1: make these cladaw rings and these ballsack necklaces, and that's
- 25:13Speaker 1: gonna be what I do. But y'all have to be
- 25:15Speaker 1: the ones that are gonna go out to the expos
- 25:17Speaker 1: y'all have to be the ones that are gonna be
- 25:19Speaker 1: taking care of the website. You guys are gonna be
- 25:21Speaker 1: the ones who are coming up with the marketing, and
- 25:23Speaker 1: I'm just gonna sit back and be the creative. That's
- 25:25Speaker 1: why she needs them, because she doesn't want to do
- 25:27Speaker 1: all that other shit. She just wants to do this
- 25:30Speaker 1: stuff that makes her feel good.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Right.
- 25:32Speaker 1: God told me to make this boob necklace, and I
- 25:36Speaker 1: believe in it. And she even says in this episode,
- 25:38Speaker 1: like I believe this is what God wants for us. Yeah,
- 25:41Speaker 1: I really believe this.
- 25:43Speaker 2: She says something to the effect like of I pray
- 25:45Speaker 2: to God to help me learn how to talk to
- 25:48Speaker 2: them so that way they get my vision. And I'm like,
- 25:51Speaker 2: that just means you're praying so you can figure out
- 25:53Speaker 2: a way to manipulate everybody into your stupid fucking scheme.
- 25:56Speaker 1: It's like crazy, which isn't working and is never going
- 26:00Speaker 1: to work. And Janelle has a mind for money. Mary
- 26:04Speaker 1: has a mind for money, which is why I'm a
- 26:06Speaker 1: little surprised that she's so gung ho with the whole thing, right,
- 26:08Speaker 1: And Christine just doesn't want to be on team Robin ever,
- 26:12Speaker 1: And I really did feel some petty energy coming from Christine,
- 26:16Speaker 1: Like I felt like she loved it so much when
- 26:19Speaker 1: she turned to Robin and said, well, I never expected
- 26:22Speaker 1: to give you any more effort than this, Like that
- 26:25Speaker 1: was like that was wild. I love that was so straightforward.
- 26:28Speaker 1: And then Robin's hard job, honey, She's just sitting there
- 26:31Speaker 1: with that hard josh, she's so mad. I think this
- 26:34Speaker 1: might be one of the critical moments where Robin totally
- 26:39Speaker 1: gives up on Christine. I think so too, and never
- 26:42Speaker 1: ever ever wants to be her friend, and indeed will
- 26:45Speaker 1: go on to try and sabotage Christine in the future.
- 26:48Speaker 1: I think so because of the way Christine is handling
- 26:50Speaker 1: her right now.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Yep, I love it, me too, I love it. It's
- 26:54Speaker 2: fucking awesome.
- 26:55Speaker 1: But Robbin's offended. Oh, this whole episode, she's offended because.
- 27:00Speaker 2: She's a professional victim. She even said, like at the expo,
- 27:03Speaker 2: when she's like giving all of her cells pitches and
- 27:06Speaker 2: telling all of her stories to all of these random
- 27:08Speaker 2: old ladies at this fucking expo don't care, who don't
- 27:11Speaker 2: care and don't want to pay over one hundred dollars
- 27:13Speaker 2: for an ugly ballsack necklace. Robin's like, yeah, when they
- 27:16Speaker 2: don't come and like buy a necklace or a piece
- 27:19Speaker 2: of jewelry, Like, I take that as rejection, right, Oh
- 27:22Speaker 2: my god, you're not cut out for sales, then.
- 27:24Speaker 1: You're not cut out for business. Yeah, you can't take
- 27:27Speaker 1: business personally. You just look at the metrics, right, you
- 27:29Speaker 1: look at the numbers and you adjust around that. That
- 27:31Speaker 1: says she doesn't she can't do that because she's emotionally
- 27:34Speaker 1: connected to the outcome. And that's why Christine would never
- 27:39Speaker 1: be able to win with her in something like this,
- 27:41Speaker 1: because if Christine dissents, if Christine criticizes, if Christine just
- 27:45Speaker 1: doesn't agree, it's a personal attack on Robin.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Yeah, which is crazy.
- 27:48Speaker 1: We kind of see this and see's in seventeen, eighteen
- 27:51Speaker 1: and nineteen with some of the rhetoric we hear from Cody,
- 27:53Speaker 1: while like they never supported Robin, they've always attacked Robin,
- 27:57Speaker 1: and like this is what Robin thinks is an attack. Yeah,
- 28:01Speaker 1: this is just the other women saying this is a
- 28:02Speaker 1: stupid idea and I don't want to waste our money
- 28:04Speaker 1: on it.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Yeah, or like just making suggestions about the branding is
- 28:08Speaker 2: something as simple as that, And like Robin can't even
- 28:10Speaker 2: change anything. It's still my Sister Wives closet. It's still online,
- 28:14Speaker 2: it's still Ugly Jewelry. The website is still up. I
- 28:17Speaker 2: think people on Reddit were saying it's still active. Somebody
- 28:19Speaker 2: actually bought a piece on there but then didn't actually
- 28:22Speaker 2: receive it. Oh yeah, so I don't know, man, it's
- 28:26Speaker 2: still a mess.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Well, see, I would have left that expo, and we'll
- 28:29Speaker 1: get into what they actually sold, but I would have
- 28:31Speaker 1: left that expo and I would have seen it was
- 28:34Speaker 1: a total and utter failure, and I would have like
- 28:37Speaker 1: homed in on the fact that people were not responsive
- 28:41Speaker 1: to the Sister Wives title in their business, like they
- 28:45Speaker 1: don't want your polygamy, They're not interested in that. I'm
- 28:48Speaker 1: not gonna buy a necklace that represents your specific polygamist family.
- 28:52Speaker 1: That doesn't make any sense. If you want to do
- 28:54Speaker 1: some spiritual stuff or some crosses or whatever Mormon's believe,
- 28:58Speaker 1: that's a little different. But what you're doing now is
- 29:01Speaker 1: not resonating with people, And that's really good information and
- 29:04Speaker 1: intel to have. Like I would have left and totally
- 29:07Speaker 1: adjusted if I wanted to continue with that business exactly,
- 29:10Speaker 1: but we know that she's not going to do that.
- 29:13Speaker 2: No, And like Christine even said, like, our prices are
- 29:15Speaker 2: not Expo prices, Like all of the other jewelry that
- 29:18Speaker 2: was being sold at the Expo was so much cheaper
- 29:20Speaker 2: than ours, and that's why it failed. But I think
- 29:24Speaker 2: there's a scene, I don't know if it's in this
- 29:26Speaker 2: season or a later season where Robin says, the reason
- 29:29Speaker 2: why their prices are so high is because it's quality, right,
- 29:33Speaker 2: Like this cheap ass silver that's like really shitty and
- 29:36Speaker 2: looks awful, not even shiny, it's quality, right.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Well, she kind of has to say that to get
- 29:43Speaker 1: us to want to purchase it. But when you think
- 29:45Speaker 1: about it, when you look back at how many people
- 29:48Speaker 1: were actually watching Sister Wives at this time, I mean,
- 29:52Speaker 1: if you're getting millions of hits to that website and
- 29:56Speaker 1: you're getting hardly anybody purchasing, that's crazy. I know, like,
- 30:01Speaker 1: this is generally an advertisement every week that you could
- 30:05Speaker 1: be making to everybody to convince us to buy your
- 30:07Speaker 1: shitty shit.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Yeah, and nobody's doing it well. And that's why I'm like,
- 30:10Speaker 2: are Robin and Cody that fucking stupid? Yes, they thought,
- 30:13Speaker 2: oh yeah, like it would be like an instant hit.
- 30:16Speaker 2: I mean, Cody didn't even think it was an instant hit.
- 30:18Speaker 2: In this episode, He's just like, I don't even want
- 30:20Speaker 2: to fucking do this. But Robin, I think, genuinely thought like,
- 30:24Speaker 2: oh my god, we're going to make so much money
- 30:26Speaker 2: if we sell these one hundred and fifty dollars a pop.
- 30:29Speaker 1: And honestly, if they had done something like T shirts,
- 30:32Speaker 1: if they had done something like Janelle is doing in
- 30:34Speaker 1: Year of Our Lord twenty twenty five, just using funny
- 30:36Speaker 1: sayings that are said on this show, they would have
- 30:39Speaker 1: made a ton of money. I would have purchased that
- 30:41Speaker 1: for sure. But it's the business acumen, or the failure
- 30:45Speaker 1: of having business acumen or even just general intuition or
- 30:49Speaker 1: being able to test the wins to see what people
- 30:51Speaker 1: are willing to buy. Robin doesn't. And this is Robin's
- 30:54Speaker 1: dumb and Cody's dumb too. I think Cody's willing to
- 30:57Speaker 1: like spend a certain amount of money, but if he
- 30:59Speaker 1: doesn't see a profit back for that, then he's going
- 31:02Speaker 1: to want to pull the plug. And which ultimately I
- 31:04Speaker 1: think they do. Do they end up failing, Well, I
- 31:06Speaker 1: don't think they continue to pour money into this particular project.
- 31:11Speaker 1: I know it's still a website. I mean apparently they're
- 31:13Speaker 1: not fulfilling orders though, But I mean, I don't think
- 31:16Speaker 1: they're spending a ton of money to keep a big inventory,
- 31:19Speaker 1: unless unless the inventory is all that shit that he
- 31:22Speaker 1: was talking about to the realtor when they were out
- 31:24Speaker 1: at Coyote Path and he's like, these are all my
- 31:26Speaker 1: failed businesses. Maybe it's the my sister wives closet inventory.
- 31:30Speaker 2: Oh my god, maybe they did. Maybe they didn't purchase
- 31:35Speaker 2: a bunch of these looking up.
- 31:36Speaker 1: All that's so good, it is great. It is so
- 31:40Speaker 1: love it.
- 31:41Speaker 2: It's so fucking poetic. It's just so ridiculous to me though,
- 31:44Speaker 2: Like this whole expo was a complete embarrassment that by
- 31:49Speaker 2: the end of it, they sold nineteen pieces in three days.
- 31:53Speaker 1: So the first day, which was a Friday, they're not
- 31:55Speaker 1: able to set up till three o'clock and it's just
- 31:57Speaker 1: a partial day. They sell nothing.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:59Speaker 1: The second they are out there hustling honey for like
- 32:03Speaker 1: eight ten hours all day at the expo, and they
- 32:06Speaker 1: sell seven items. And again we don't know if these
- 32:09Speaker 1: are the more costly items, these might be just like
- 32:12Speaker 1: little knickknack trinkets. Who knows, they don't actually differentiate. And
- 32:16Speaker 1: then the next day I think they sell twelve more.
- 32:19Speaker 1: But according to Janelle they needed to sell one hundred. Yeah,
- 32:23Speaker 1: one hundred and twenty.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I think it was one hundred and twenty. Christine was like, well,
- 32:26Speaker 2: if we could sell a hundred, that would be great,
- 32:29Speaker 2: but no, they.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Didn't, maybe the high end items. So we're there and
- 32:32Speaker 1: I wish I knew what these things were priced at
- 32:35Speaker 1: way back in the day. I don't know if there's
- 32:37Speaker 1: blogs out there that talk about this. If anybody knows,
- 32:39Speaker 1: let us know, Please do tell but like I'm wondering
- 32:41Speaker 1: if their high end items are like one hundred and
- 32:44Speaker 1: fifty to two hundred dollars, maybe they're two fifty to
- 32:48Speaker 1: four hundred dollars, and so they're wanting to sell one
- 32:51Speaker 1: hundred of those and make anywhere from fifteen to twenty
- 32:54Speaker 1: five thousand dollars, or maybe they're just hoping to make
- 32:57Speaker 1: ten thousand dollars. But bitch, you sold nineteen items. They're
- 33:01Speaker 1: probably on the lower end and people are just doing
- 33:04Speaker 1: it because you're the sister wives. Y'all probably made about
- 33:07Speaker 1: four hundred dollars after spending all that money on gas,
- 33:11Speaker 1: having to stay there on Friday night and Saturday night.
- 33:14Speaker 1: All of that comes out of the prophet heady.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's nothing. They're still negative, like they couldn't
- 33:19Speaker 2: even break even. I think they needed all the hard
- 33:21Speaker 2: to break even. I don't. I think that's what they
- 33:24Speaker 2: were saying, like we need to do that to make
- 33:26Speaker 2: it worth while.
- 33:26Speaker 1: I thought the one hundred or one hundred and twenty
- 33:28Speaker 1: was kind of a barometer to see whether this business
- 33:31Speaker 1: had any legs. Like Janelle's like, if we don't make
- 33:34Speaker 1: this amount, then this business isn't going anywhere. It's not
- 33:37Speaker 1: worth and then they end up making nineteen sales, which
- 33:40Speaker 1: is just so good kisses from Jesus. What thank you
- 33:44Speaker 1: Jesus God.
- 33:45Speaker 2: What a waste of time and like the worst expo ever.
- 33:49Speaker 2: I mean, I don't understand why you went to Saint
- 33:51Speaker 2: George doing this all. Like they even had to talk
- 33:53Speaker 2: about the FLDS and this episode did like again.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Well, because they always have to make them solve to
- 34:00Speaker 1: be like martyrs of the cause. And so they're going
- 34:03Speaker 1: to Saint George and they talk about how there is
- 34:05Speaker 1: an FLDS presence here, but of course Warren Jeff's who's
- 34:09Speaker 1: been incarcerated for child rape and things of this nature.
- 34:13Speaker 1: But at the same time, they have a lot of
- 34:14Speaker 1: regular LDS and normies down there, and so they're kind
- 34:18Speaker 1: of like right in the middle and they don't know
- 34:20Speaker 1: how they're going to be received, and so it's this
- 34:22Speaker 1: persecution complex, yeah, that they need to have in order
- 34:26Speaker 1: to be relevant on TLC. And people by and large
- 34:31Speaker 1: seem pretty normal. Yeah, some people are like, yeah, they're cool.
- 34:34Speaker 1: I think they've got something special here. Then you've got
- 34:36Speaker 1: that Karen who's just like I hate them. He's a
- 34:39Speaker 1: creepy old man trying to wed young women. They're terrible
- 34:44Speaker 1: people and made.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Me laugh though I mean it's true, it is kind
- 34:47Speaker 2: of true, true. And then we have a fucking speech
- 34:51Speaker 2: from Cody being like, yeah, it's actually a pretty easy
- 34:54Speaker 2: philosophy to justify biblically and like, you know, I'm doing
- 34:58Speaker 2: good things because Jesus approved plural marriage, and like I
- 35:01Speaker 2: can defend it like this is my life blah. I'm like,
- 35:03Speaker 2: oh my god, I.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Just didn't approve of plural marriage. He just didn't comment
- 35:07Speaker 1: on it, but I maybe right, so and he said
- 35:10Speaker 1: something like, you know, all the coolest guys in the
- 35:12Speaker 1: Old Testament had many wives, and so I think, like
- 35:15Speaker 1: we're scripturally sound, and I'm like, okay, you know, there
- 35:19Speaker 1: was a lot of things people were doing at the
- 35:21Speaker 1: time of Viticus and Exodus that I don't think we
- 35:23Speaker 1: really want to be doing in the year of our
- 35:25Speaker 1: Lord twenty twenty five, right, but anything to justify your behavior.
- 35:29Speaker 1: But he's like, and I could kind of relate to him, saying,
- 35:32Speaker 1: you know, I don't need your Bible lecture every time
- 35:35Speaker 1: I'm out in the public. I don't need you telling
- 35:37Speaker 1: me how my lifestyle is wrong. But if that's the case.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Why is it in your branding though?
- 35:43Speaker 2: Exactly?
- 35:44Speaker 1: Why are you constantly shoving it in the face of everybody? Exactly?
- 35:49Speaker 1: This is what they don't get.
- 35:50Speaker 2: No, they're so fucking stupid. Yeah, Like, I really don't
- 35:53Speaker 2: understand it all. And then I think later in this
- 35:57Speaker 2: season or the next I think it's this season, and
- 36:00Speaker 2: they have like pitches, like sale pitches with Shark Tank
- 36:04Speaker 2: people where they value my sister R's closet at like
- 36:09Speaker 2: twenty million dollars or something.
- 36:10Speaker 1: Who values my sister Oh Cody values Wait.
- 36:14Speaker 2: What Yeah, Cody is pitching like Cody and the wives
- 36:17Speaker 2: are all pitching my sistress closet to some investors.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Like I remember you telling me that this is going
- 36:22Speaker 1: to happen.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think it's this season. Don't fucking come
- 36:25Speaker 2: for me if I'm wrong. Okay, but I know it's
- 36:27Speaker 2: coming up. I know it's coming up. But they're going
- 36:29Speaker 2: to like these backwoods Shark Tank investors, and Cody's like, yeah,
- 36:35Speaker 2: our business is valued at twenty million dollars, but we've
- 36:38Speaker 2: only sold like one hundred and forty piece.
- 36:41Speaker 1: No way, yes, I have to see this.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Yes, And the investors are like, how the fuck did
- 36:46Speaker 2: you come up with this valuation? Like this is crazy,
- 36:49Speaker 2: and Christy's like, well, we get like fifteen million hits
- 36:51Speaker 2: on our website, but like nobody's fucking bruisting anything.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Yeah, you have to be able to demonstrate purchasing power,
- 36:57Speaker 1: like people are actually buying your shit.
- 36:59Speaker 2: And they come with like poster board of their like
- 37:02Speaker 2: stuff glued like a fucking class project, like in front
- 37:05Speaker 2: of these investors to get money. It's crazy.
- 37:08Speaker 1: But they agreed, don't they didn't you tell me, like
- 37:10Speaker 1: they agreed to give them an investment, not what they wanted,
- 37:13Speaker 1: but grudgingly yeah, okay, and then it never actually was funded,
- 37:16Speaker 1: right exactly. They just did that for the camera. I
- 37:19Speaker 1: cannot wait, and I bet Robin's gonna feel like, oh
- 37:22Speaker 1: my god, we did it.
- 37:24Speaker 2: We're going to be successful. Yep. See I was right, mom.
- 37:29Speaker 2: It's crazy, like this is a whole like narc business
- 37:33Speaker 2: on display. Like Robin is so invested in this. I
- 37:36Speaker 2: feel like her identity is my sister wives closet because
- 37:38Speaker 2: she thinks it's going to be successful, so therefore it is.
- 37:41Speaker 2: And you know that meant that mindset can be beneficial
- 37:45Speaker 2: if you're like a good person, and you have hope
- 37:48Speaker 2: for like a business or whatever.
- 37:50Speaker 1: But and you're willing to like learn exactly, and you
- 37:53Speaker 1: have some curiosity like how to run a business? Right,
- 37:56Speaker 1: just accept the fact that you've never run a business
- 37:58Speaker 1: before and maybe take some horses, read some books, get
- 38:01Speaker 1: a game plan, have a business plan. Be allowed to
- 38:04Speaker 1: be mentored, like listen to other people and what they
- 38:07Speaker 1: have to say in terms of advice. But she won't
- 38:09Speaker 1: do that, not at all. Yeah, this is great. It's
- 38:12Speaker 1: everything about this is fantastic.
- 38:14Speaker 2: I love it. We're starting off season six with a
- 38:16Speaker 2: fucking bang.
- 38:17Speaker 1: I love it.
- 38:18Speaker 2: But while they're at the expo, have King Solomon's birthday.
- 38:21Speaker 1: And I'm a snory.
- 38:24Speaker 2: It's the first birthday of King Solomon. All of her
- 38:27Speaker 2: kids are there at the expo, but all the other
- 38:29Speaker 2: kids are back in Vegas.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Well because those kids exactly, it's about Robin and her
- 38:33Speaker 1: kids and her weird uncle daddy. Oh yeah, is Paul. Yeah,
- 38:37Speaker 1: comes trotten in. But I have bad vibes from Paul's
- 38:41Speaker 1: very strange about Paul, I must say either.
- 38:44Speaker 2: But then when we get back to Vegas, we have
- 38:46Speaker 2: King Solomon's birthday and we have Mary and Robin talking about.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Like, are we really still talking about this? I feel
- 38:56Speaker 1: like we've been talking about this since season one when
- 38:58Speaker 1: you just marry out for your anniversary dinner and or
- 39:01Speaker 1: Mexico or whatever, and y'all were talking about it. It
- 39:05Speaker 1: is now, see isn't sick? Yep, and Mary still has
- 39:08Speaker 1: not made up her forty two year old mind as
- 39:10Speaker 1: to whether she wants to start again and have children.
- 39:13Speaker 1: But this is just a storyline to platform Robin and
- 39:18Speaker 1: her altruistic impulse to allow Mary to have a choice. Yeah,
- 39:23Speaker 1: because Mary, you gave me the choice to marry Cody Brown,
- 39:27Speaker 1: and so I want to give you the choice to
- 39:30Speaker 1: have a baby since you're infertile and not a real woman.
- 39:34Speaker 1: I know you can't help the fact that you're not
- 39:36Speaker 1: a real woman, and I am and I got all
- 39:39Speaker 1: this bear Brown, but I want to give you that choice.
- 39:43Speaker 1: No one you're gonna say no.
- 39:44Speaker 2: Yeah, more than you. Also does a dig to Janelle
- 39:47Speaker 2: and Christine because she's like, I've always wanted to raise
- 39:51Speaker 2: kids with a sister wife. I've always wanted to have
- 39:53Speaker 2: babies with a sister wife. And I know Christine and
- 39:56Speaker 2: Janelle are old and are done with having kids, but
- 39:59Speaker 2: you know, I want to give you the option, and
- 40:01Speaker 2: I really want to have a kid with you. That's
- 40:04Speaker 2: what she says. Yeah, fucking weird. And Mary's like, I'm
- 40:08Speaker 2: forty two, I don't know if I want to start over.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Leon's going to fucking college next year.
- 40:13Speaker 1: Yeah, they're almost out of the house. Yeah, then Mary,
- 40:15Speaker 1: you're gonna be an empty nester in a bathtub with
- 40:18Speaker 1: a banana talking to a woman pretending to be a
- 40:21Speaker 1: math So you don't want to bring a baby into
- 40:24Speaker 1: Addie and that. But like, I just feel it's insidious
- 40:27Speaker 1: on the part of Robin because I don't necessarily feel
- 40:31Speaker 1: that she's being genuine here. I just feel like she
- 40:34Speaker 1: wants to be seen as somebody who's making the offer,
- 40:38Speaker 1: knowing that Mary at this time is very conflicted about
- 40:41Speaker 1: her actual relationship. Because let us not forget right season one,
- 40:45Speaker 1: he melts down the ring, right, and he melts down
- 40:49Speaker 1: the ring. Cody Brown melts down Mary's wedding ring and says,
- 40:53Speaker 1: this way, you can't have any control over me anymore,
- 40:56Speaker 1: or something to that effect. So Robin is one hundred
- 40:59Speaker 1: percent privy to the fact that this situation, this relationship
- 41:03Speaker 1: between Mary and Cody is very troubled. Yeah, there are
- 41:06Speaker 1: some problems here, so she knows this is not a
- 41:09Speaker 1: genuine offer to Mary.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and so why are you doing it? It's so crazy.
- 41:14Speaker 2: It's just for her image.
- 41:16Speaker 1: She's a n arc.
- 41:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it's totally for that. And then we have a
- 41:19Speaker 2: comment from Christine about Mary and Robin's closeness. She said
- 41:23Speaker 2: they have a really tight bond. Yes, and I would
- 41:26Speaker 2: really like to have a tight bond with a sister wife,
- 41:28Speaker 2: but it's too much work.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Yeah, But the way she said it was interesting. It
- 41:35Speaker 1: felt like what she was saying was in order for
- 41:38Speaker 1: me to have a close relationship like Mary has with Robin,
- 41:42Speaker 1: I have to do a lot of fan service. Yeah,
- 41:44Speaker 1: I have to do a lot of maintenance and management
- 41:46Speaker 1: of a relationship to make somebody else happy so that
- 41:49Speaker 1: they'll be my friend. That's actually what I felt her saying.
- 41:52Speaker 1: And it's used to being super petty. Yeah, she's like, yeah,
- 41:54Speaker 1: because they don't necessarily inherently want to be in a
- 41:57Speaker 1: friendship with me. It's like, why am I gonna have
- 41:59Speaker 1: to work so hard just to make a connection that
- 42:02Speaker 1: you don't want to make?
- 42:02Speaker 2: Right? And she shouldn't have to make so much effort
- 42:05Speaker 2: to make a connection with these people, especially Mary when
- 42:08Speaker 2: she's been with Mary for fucking twenty years of this.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Yeah, and if that was gonna happen, it would have happened.
- 42:13Speaker 1: But Mary's constantly wala walda and Christine's always wanting to
- 42:16Speaker 1: break down walls and scream all the time. They just
- 42:19Speaker 1: they don't mesh together. Sorry, you don't mesh together like that.
- 42:25Speaker 2: They should, I know Mary would probably like that. Yeah,
- 42:28Speaker 2: with Sam yikes. And then we have King Solomon's birthday,
- 42:31Speaker 2: and everybody makes wishes for him.
- 42:32Speaker 1: Okay, and I don't care, live long and prosper mister Solomon.
- 42:36Speaker 2: He is a cute baby, though.
- 42:37Speaker 1: He's a very cute baby right now.
- 42:39Speaker 2: Yeah, so sorry, but you're.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Not wrong right now. He's so cute, very cherubic.
- 42:49Speaker 2: He doesn't look like a vampire.
- 42:50Speaker 1: Yet, not yet, but it's coming lestats brown anyways. So
- 42:56Speaker 1: they release the balloons into the air and everybody's like
- 43:02Speaker 1: ooh ah. And then they go over back to the
- 43:05Speaker 1: cul de sacs. They can remind all these kids, look,
- 43:08Speaker 1: we're going to be moving in here by Christmas, and
- 43:11Speaker 1: this is where they do the gift exchange.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and all of the older kids are like, I
- 43:15Speaker 2: don't care about gifts this year. I just want to
- 43:17Speaker 2: be in a home like this sucks. I hate these rentals.
- 43:21Speaker 2: They don't feel like home, Like my parents are fucking dumb.
- 43:24Speaker 2: I just want my own place, right, That's basically what
- 43:27Speaker 2: they said.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Yes, so why didn't hear that specifically? But I did
- 43:31Speaker 1: feel that energetically. Yeah, But I just I thought to myself,
- 43:35Speaker 1: this is so portentous and interesting foreshadowing because what kind
- 43:41Speaker 1: of splits all these kids apart ten years from now
- 43:44Speaker 1: is the Christmas gift exchange Because Robin inserts herself and
- 43:48Speaker 1: did that bullshit on behalf of her kids, and the
- 43:51Speaker 1: rest of the kids are like, we're done with you,
- 43:53Speaker 1: We're done with them, We're done with this.
- 43:56Speaker 2: Yeah, which is very crazy, but that's how we end
- 43:58Speaker 2: the episode. It's kind of interesting.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Season six is off with a bank.
- 44:03Speaker 1: We like it.
- 44:04Speaker 2: I love it. I hope we get to have the
- 44:06Speaker 2: wet bar conversation in this season.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Well, I feel like we already had that.
- 44:10Speaker 2: I think more because the house isn't built yet.
- 44:13Speaker 1: No it's not. But I felt like we established that
- 44:17Speaker 1: each wife got an equal portion, and anything above and
- 44:22Speaker 1: beyond that, Mary funded herself well, Mary tells us that
- 44:25Speaker 1: this year, she's told us that in Lives you don't
- 44:28Speaker 1: think so?
- 44:29Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I mean I think she did.
- 44:30Speaker 1: But Okay, So I would love if they continue to
- 44:34Speaker 1: have this conversation, and I hope that we can learn
- 44:38Speaker 1: a little bit more about the loan process prequall to
- 44:42Speaker 1: full quall and what those loans look like, because I've
- 44:47Speaker 1: heard from credible well who's credible and the Sister Wives Zeitgeist.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, but I mean I've heard from some credible
- 44:53Speaker 1: sources that these wives, maybe not all of them, but
- 44:56Speaker 1: these wives had something like a balloon loan where they
- 45:00Speaker 1: paid interest only, And I think didn't Janelle talk last
- 45:03Speaker 1: season when they're talking about the loans that they had
- 45:06Speaker 1: to do it a little creatively. Yeah, I thought that
- 45:09Speaker 1: they did, so that they were paying interest only on
- 45:12Speaker 1: these homes and then those loans were to come do
- 45:15Speaker 1: after a certain amount of time, which of course by
- 45:18Speaker 1: then they moved to flag Staff, so they don't have
- 45:20Speaker 1: to pay off the rest of those loans, and they
- 45:22Speaker 1: come to flag Staff and they do much the same
- 45:24Speaker 1: type of a loan with the owner of Coyote Pass. Yeah, So, like,
- 45:28Speaker 1: I want to hear more about that me too.
- 45:32Speaker 2: God, I just want to get into all their financial stuff. Yes,
- 45:35Speaker 2: there's this YouTube channel. I know this is a sidebar,
- 45:38Speaker 2: but there's this YouTube channel I'm obsessed with right now
- 45:39Speaker 2: called Financial Audit where this.
- 45:41Speaker 1: Oh Caleb, yeah, yeah, Oh my god, I.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Fucking love this show. I don't know why because it's
- 45:47Speaker 2: just so great, but like he just goes in on
- 45:49Speaker 2: some of these people that make the dumbest fucking financial
- 45:52Speaker 2: decisions truly, And it would be so awesome if he
- 45:56Speaker 2: can have Cody and Robin on there and they can
- 45:58Speaker 2: be like they have a stack of paper, like all
- 46:00Speaker 2: the shit that they've spent money on and all the
- 46:02Speaker 2: loans and all the fucking credit cards that they have
- 46:04Speaker 2: because they've probably got a lot of credit cards.
- 46:06Speaker 1: Listen, My vibe is that is this is a house
- 46:08Speaker 1: of cards, like that their scheme, their financial scheme, their
- 46:13Speaker 1: new mansion, like all of their assets, like it's all revolving.
- 46:18Speaker 1: They're paying one thing off in order to pay for
- 46:20Speaker 1: something else, like all of these cars, all the insurance,
- 46:24Speaker 1: like all the money that is going out in this
- 46:27Speaker 1: family is wild, and I just feel like it's going
- 46:30Speaker 1: to take one thing and it could be our girl
- 46:32Speaker 1: Christine with this lawsuit with like finding out what the
- 46:36Speaker 1: financials are requiring Cody to pay a big amount in
- 46:41Speaker 1: I don't know, arears child support in future child support.
- 46:45Speaker 1: I don't know if she's asking for anything else, like
- 46:47Speaker 1: the lawsuits with Janelle and Mary as well. If there's
- 46:51Speaker 1: going to be lawsuits like I feel like when we
- 46:53Speaker 1: get there, that might shake the house of cards and
- 46:56Speaker 1: make it all fall down, Oh.
- 46:58Speaker 2: For sure, Oh my god. And if it's not that,
- 47:01Speaker 2: then it's gonna be the cancelation of Sister Wives. Oh yeah,
- 47:03Speaker 2: And then they have no fucking income besides their cameos
- 47:06Speaker 2: and stuff. And then how are you gonna pay for
- 47:08Speaker 2: that two point one million dollar? Man?
- 47:10Speaker 1: I have to sail those dollshood Oh my American girl dolls.
- 47:15Speaker 1: They gotta go, Holly, my doll home, they gotta go.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Oh my god, are amethyst crystal wings?
- 47:22Speaker 2: Oh my god? The ugly art and all of this
- 47:26Speaker 2: my Sister Wives closet stock.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Oh god. I can't wait. I mean, I don't want
- 47:30Speaker 1: to again. I don't want to hope for somebody's downfall.
- 47:33Speaker 1: But when you're dealing with people who I think are
- 47:35Speaker 1: actually wicked, awful people, I'm like this is just the
- 47:39Speaker 1: way that it happens. Karma always gets her revel.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Karma's a bitch.
