Latest / Podcast - Big 98.7 / Pike Returns After Losing His Dad
Transcript
- 0:00Well, it's been good to be back here this morning so far. Obviously,
- 0:02I've been gone since last week. So Friday was a day off that
- 0:06I had randomly scheduled, just we got to use classification days, right,
- 0:10The timing was weird. But last week my dad was in the hospital at
- 0:14Sanford and it was a long week. There a lot of ups and downs,
- 0:17and we were pretty sure we were going to make it out of there,
- 0:21you know. And then on Thursday night something happened, long story short,
- 0:25took a turn for the worse, and well I lost my dad last
- 0:29Thursday. So yeah, really really hard. Obviously, if you've lost a
- 0:33parent or lost anybody, it's crazy. Like seeing an obituary on your Facebook
- 0:39feed is you know, you see him all the time, but when it's
- 0:41your dad's picture, it's it's tough. So been gone all week. We
- 0:44had the funeral yesterday, and yet again here I thought I could talk about
- 0:49it and I can't. Like yesterday, at the funeral, beautiful service by
- 0:54the way in Glennon. So my dad was a firefighter and more head for
- 0:58you know, his whole career, and so it was a really lovely thing
- 1:00where the firefighters were there and you know, they honored him in that way.
- 1:03He was in the military as well, so just an incredible ceremony.
- 1:07But I walked in and you know, I was gonna do one of the
- 1:11eulogies. My brother, my sister and I were all going to talk and
- 1:14I thought I would be able to do it. But I walked into the
- 1:17church, looked to my left and there was Amanda sobbing weirdby and I'm like,
- 1:25oh God, you know is to roll in. That definitely started the
- 1:32downturn of me being a holding together. But I know, I really appreciate
- 1:34you coming. A lot of coworkers showed up, which was which was nice.
- 1:38And I know you've lost a parent, so I know you know how
- 1:40it feels and it's hard, but we're getting through it. So it is
- 1:42and I, as you know, have gone through this and it's my seventh
- 1:47year without my mom. Like wo these are those conversations. And you had
- 1:52said right last week, you said how long ago was it when you lost
- 1:55your mom? Because I remember on Friday when we got together, you had
- 1:57mentioned how you weren't able to make it to the prayer service and to the
- 2:01funeral and stuff because you were with your dad and you were hunting it.
- 2:05That was a tradition that you had with your family. I remember being really
- 2:07stressed out because it was hunting weekend, and that was one of the things
- 2:10we did with our dad every year. And my brother and I, you
- 2:14know, we could take it or leave it, you know what I mean.
- 2:15We're not we don't love hunting, but we loved at least doing that
- 2:19with him because he enjoyed it. And even then, seven years ago,
- 2:23I wasn't sure how many more I would be able to do. And so
- 2:27anyway, I'm glad I did go hunting. And even in the last you
- 2:30know, when we moved here in May after being in Florida for a few
- 2:34years, the big part of it was, you know, I wanted to
- 2:37work with you, of course, specially that's why you came back, I
- 2:40know, but I knew that it wouldn't be you know, too much longer
- 2:46before he was gone, and so that was a big part of it,
- 2:50you know. And every time he was never really emotional, but for the
- 2:53last like you know, a year or whatever, every time i'd see him,
- 2:58we would hug and he would just you know, you could just tell
- 3:00you just I know, oh, I'm proud of you for talking about this
- 3:06because it is something. The holiday season is here and we've been talking about
- 3:08all the joys of it, and there's a lot of people that go through
- 3:12really hard times. Maybe it's your first holiday that you don't have a loved
- 3:15one. It's it's not easy and we're thinking of you. And I will
- 3:20tell you yesterday actually was a year ago when my grandpa passed away and he
- 3:23was my best buddy. Yeah, and so what really got me is when
- 3:28I showed up yesterday because my grandpa frontlines of the Korean War and they did
- 3:31the honor service as well for the military. So walking to the Glendon Lutheran
- 3:37Church and seeing that big flag standing there, fire truck was the fire trucks
- 3:42playing, and walking in and just seeing all the people who respected your father
- 3:46and they were there to honor him. That that got me in. Of
- 3:49course, every time you have to say goodbye, yeah, it's it's never
- 3:54easy. And I'm just so glad that you're home all that you were able
- 3:59to be there. You know, I'm the emotional one, but I'm glad
- 4:01you took the time off to feel and go through that. And it's it's
- 4:04not easy. I've lost friends and family before, but never really in a
- 4:09position I have to kind of go through the funeral planning process, so,
- 4:12you know, unfortunately got to experience that for the first time. But you
- 4:14know, they do such a good job. They make it really really as
- 4:16easy for the family as possible. But no, it's good to see yesterday.
- 4:19Obviously, always a treat to spend a day at Glendon Lutheran Church.
- 4:24Beautiful, one of the beautiful, beautiful, you know. Speaking of that,
- 4:27I got to go on a lighthearted note as I was going to the
- 4:29bathroom because I had looked like a disaster after bawling the entire time, I
- 4:33went in and on the toilet in the bathroom, they have a little note
- 4:41and it said the church at the church, Yes, in the ladies' stall.
- 4:45It had been a while since I'd been in the facility, but yeah,
- 4:47it said flush it flush it real good. Oh yeah, it was
- 4:53a salt pea. Yeah. So as I'm there, i'm leaving, I'm
- 4:57crying. Then I'm crying lab because I'm like a shit shit real good.
- 5:01That's great. I love that the church has their topical, you know,
- 5:06comical. I love that. I love that about GLC and there's always you
- 5:10know, if you've lost somebody. The few days afterwards you're around family,
- 5:13there's a lot of of course sadness, but you're at least remembering them and
- 5:16looking through photos, and then the services happen and then it's over. And
- 5:20yesterday I had, you know, walking out of there, It's like,
- 5:21man, it's kind of just hits you, like now it's just it's over.
- 5:26It's just now you you continue to live without that person. And that
- 5:29is I think the hardest, weirdest feeling of like life goes on. I
- 5:33mean last night is when it really hit me because I'm like, and I
- 5:36had posted on social media too, it's like today we have to come in
- 5:39here and act as though like, oh hey everybody, it's the holidays season.
- 5:44Yes, eleven days until Christmas and yeah that was so have a hole
- 5:47in your heart and it sucks. Yeah, that's why it was nice to
- 5:50get a few days off, because you know, like you said, it'd
- 5:54be one thing. I I was just waking up to fire some emails off
- 5:56or whatever. But you know, it wasn't quite in the mood to come
- 5:59in in horse around all morning. But now I am I'm ready a horse
- 6:01around and ready for that. Speaking of that, you know what I've missed
- 6:04all week because James filling in, you know he's solid, well, but
- 6:08he did he did not horse around at all with the horse. You haven't
- 6:13heard me. Didn't have a horse sound, we didn't have a horse.
- 6:15So it's back and a couple just to make up for lost time. I
- 6:19am so grateful that we have the friendship we do. And I hate that
- 6:24you're a part of the uh losing a parent club. Welcome about fun,
- 6:28of course, but I love you, and I love that our community and
- 6:31everybody is gonna wrap their arms around you like they do for everything, and
- 6:35well, that's very sweet. I love you too, and I love everybody
- 6:39for reaching out. Obviously, I would love to respond to everybody, you
- 6:42know, because I have so many nice comments and just people who have gone
- 6:45through the same thing, and just people who maybe have never even met saying
- 6:48really sweet things. So thank you all so much for being supportive. And
- 6:51you know, we'll move on. Just a big old group, hot big
- 6:57in the morning, big nutty eight point seven breaking news. And you know,
- 7:01I'm not wanting to give medical advice, but I feel like it's time
- 7:04that I inform you holding in your sneeze is very dangerous. Ooh okay,
- 7:11because something has happened here to a man now they believe it to be the
- 7:14first time in the world's history, but a man has torn his wind pipe.
- 7:18Oh gosh, after attempting to hold in a sneeze. He was driving,
- 7:24felt the urge to sneeze, which I get when you're driving, I
- 7:27mean, and not like you black out, but sometimes you just do that
- 7:29and if you like accidentally start yeah, because you know what they say,
- 7:31you can't actually keep your eyes open while you sneeze. So it is dangerous.
- 7:34And I've had times we're all sneeze thirty times. I know that sounds
- 7:39crazy, but I do one after the other. Well, this dude attempted
- 7:43to hold it in, so we plugged his nose, closed his mouth and
- 7:46the pressure, oh, tore his windpipe something they call surgical mphysema. Who
- 7:50plugs their nose to hold it? Haven't you seen people do this? No,
- 7:54So I'll do like that, like like if it like that girly kind
- 7:59of thing sometime. But what I do now, and Pike, this is
- 8:03gonna be a lot for you to take in right, But since having kids,
- 8:05when I hold in a sneeze like I have to, like I know,
- 8:09hold in and like close, yes, what are you are you seeing?
- 8:16I'm clenching, I'm crossing my legs and just praying that it just I
- 8:20don't pay my pants. Is that right? Yes? It is so bad?
- 8:24Oh god, And that's why. Yeah, I didn't have this problem
- 8:26before because is that right? Okay, sometimes it happens. I've got some
- 8:31work to do. I'm well aware of the prescription needed for that. But
- 8:35yeah, well they have special underwear for that depends. Yeah, sure,
- 8:41rock around, which depends. I mean, I want, I really want
- 8:43you to be able to let those sneezes loose, but you never say it.
- 8:45Like growing up, there was kids in class who for whatever reason just
- 8:48wanted to hold the sneeze, and so they would. It would come on
- 8:50and you'd seen them plug their nose like this dude, and it was like,
- 8:54why, it's one of the better feelings, natural feelings. There's nothing
- 8:58worse some like spraying it. When you get a good s well you just
- 9:01throw your head in your your arm or something. But it's the worst when
- 9:05like a bunch of stuff comes out and there's no good way to hide it.
- 9:07I know people see you and you're like trying to rub it on your
- 9:11side or something, your pant leg. Just let if it's naturally happening,
- 9:13let it happen, except for your passing gas. In that case, you
- 9:16can hold it in. Imagine what you would tear if you held one of
- 9:20those. It's also another thing if you sneeze and like you're comfortable, like
- 9:24sometimes you might fart too. It's like there's just so many things that happen
- 9:28with your body. And don't you feel the older you get. It's just
- 9:31kind of like a wild card. I sound like I am an animal.
- 9:35I don't think I'm quite leaking to the capacity that you are. I do
- 9:41get what you're saying. Take Amanda in the morning. Seven, are you
- 9:46ready? Let's see? It is piping hot today. I know Amanda stills
- 9:52the sea. Let's see, man, they got us good. All this
- 9:56speculation about Taylor Swift and and how Travis Kelsey was going to celebrate her birthday
- 10:03a big dash, maybe in Kansas City, maybe New York City. Didn't
- 10:05even spend the day together, didn't even see each other on her birthday,
- 10:09She ended up hanging out with Blake Lively in New York City looking just fantastic.
- 10:13I mean the pictures at surface of her yesterday, the girl is just
- 10:16really Yeah, she just looks great. What about her? I mean she
- 10:22was showing a lot of leg and she kind of has you know how everybody
- 10:24always hypes carry Underwood's legs. They do. Yeah, that's kind of what
- 10:26she's known for. Taylor Swift got it going on. I mean, it's
- 10:30best on legs. Now that you and I've been paying more attention to her
- 10:33and she's been out in public a lot more, I'm like, wow,
- 10:37and we now know her workout routine. The fact she was like running down
- 10:39the treadmill for four hours singing her songs just so she could know she could
- 10:43get through her performance, Is that right? It's kind of crazy. But
- 10:46yeah, Travis Kelsey had to hang out in Kansas City because he had a
- 10:50commitment this man this mandatory football practice and let it slide yesterday. Oh that's
- 10:56too bad. Well, welcome to the club of being a you know,
- 11:00attracted to Taylor Swift. It's been going on for years, but she feels
- 11:03like she's like really embracing and now she's kind of entered this I'm really sexy
- 11:07era, like comfortable in her own skin. Oh yeah. Just the way
- 11:11she walks, the look on her face. He can tell she's like feeling
- 11:15herself, which is fine. And I like that confidence. What is this
- 11:18her confidence era? I just said it's her sexy Oh, sexy era.
- 11:22And we've had a lot of eras. I like that. Yeah, it's
- 11:24a new era. I'm all about it. You are, he's thinking about
- 11:28it right now. In fact, and Travis Kelcey did kind of talk about
- 11:33Taylor Swift. Do you have that? Yeah? I do? What because
- 11:35as Jersey was the number one selling jersey in the UK in the UK,
- 11:39Yeah, and his brother was resonant a lot of Swift. He's over there
- 11:41in the UK. It's gotta be only only reasonable solution to all this.
- 11:46So and I think my I'm only number two because I think a lot of
- 11:48people in the UK maybe just don't watch football and they're like, oh I
- 11:52heard this Kelsey guy. They share Swift and they just buy my jersey.
- 11:54Action. Isn't that great? I actually kind of love that for him.
- 11:58I've been listening to their podcast more and more and Jason is definitely the funny
- 12:03one of that travels. He's the personality. Travis's huh yeah, all right,
- 12:09brother, kind of a dufist honestly in some of the regards. And
- 12:11you know, I love him, but I know that's why I'm like a
- 12:15little worried cause you know, she I don't know. I just don't know
- 12:18if that's her type. You don't think he has enough like depth? Well,
- 12:22I don't want to assume, you know what I mean, I never
- 12:24because you know, what people are like in public or whatever isn't necessarily I
- 12:28don't know what they talk about when they're lying on the bed together after a
- 12:31hole, you know. Yeah, But I just worry that eventually, you
- 12:35know, once all the fun is over. No, I get it,
- 12:37then what because we've all been in that situation where you're like, oh my
- 12:39gosh, it's this and this, and then you're like, oh boy,
- 12:43yeah, yeah, all right, brother. Okay, Travis, you've said
- 12:48that four times. Now what else you got? Yeah? Oh that's good.
- 12:54Well we'll see if they are they can make it all right now,
- 13:00Oh gosh, it's good, It's good, all right, uh oprah.
- 13:03She confirmed that there's been a lot of speculation all of a sudden she popped
- 13:07up kind of like Kelly Clarkson, and I am proud of these girls.
- 13:09They look great. They look great Kelly Clarkson for me when she did the
- 13:13Rockefeller Center, had no idea. I watched this program for two minutes and
- 13:18all of a sudden, she said, y'all and I went, oh,
- 13:20my gosh, that's Kelly Clarkson, much like Oprah showing up to do some
- 13:24media, and she looks amazing. I hadnt seen OPRAHU till today, but
- 13:28yes, very similar, similarly shocking, Yes to see her. She does
- 13:33admit though, that she has been taking a weight loss drug, maybe similar
- 13:37to ozempic, But she goes on to say, I just want people to
- 13:41know I'm done with the shaming. But she said, there is a medication
- 13:45that has approved and I'm using it. It's helping me stay healthier in my
- 13:48lifetime. I didn't think this would happen, and it's a little relief,
- 13:52like redemption, a gift, something that I can use. I don't want
- 13:54to be ridiculed for it because her weight is always yo yo ing, but
- 13:58she said it is a tool that I used to manage my weight if it
- 14:01exists, and it's healthy. I know a lot of people look at it
- 14:03like it's bad but or the easy way out. It's the easy way on.
- 14:07But whatever. If there was a pill to make you taller, I'd
- 14:09be forty feet all right now, you know what I mean. Like,
- 14:11it's just if it's available and you can afford it and it's not going to
- 14:15kill you. That's all the affordability, because I mean, I'm willing to
- 14:18get a little shot of the oh zempeic weird tells me. I mean,
- 14:22whatever it is, and how often I've got so many questions. You're anybody
- 14:26listening who pedals this drug? Amanda would love working and pink. She's always
- 14:35firing back at fans. It just kind of depends. If she stumbles on
- 14:39one and she's in a mood, she'll be like, Okay, you want
- 14:41to go, let's do this, which annoys me. But yeah, I
- 14:46know, I know this is one of your games. Yes, somebody said
- 14:48that she looks like she got old, and she fired back that it is
- 14:52just a number and she is aging gracefully. She said, yes, although
- 14:54I don't feel old, I still get to wear a leotard to work.
- 14:58Growing older is act. Actually my first, grateful every day. What a
- 15:01blessing to have life, years, to be strong, to be able to
- 15:05still make people. I'll just say that, make people mad, complete strangers
- 15:11just by existing. Bleep. Yeah times forty four. What a thing to
- 15:15respond to. You look like you got old. Well, yeah, that's
- 15:18how time works, you know what I mean. Like yesterday we're at the
- 15:22funeral, you know, and like saw a lot of family who just hadn't
- 15:24seen in years, and we were like not recognizing some people. You know,
- 15:28it's like that awkward like who are you again? And I just said
- 15:31to my brother, I'm like, gosh, it's weird how it seems like
- 15:33everybody in the last ten years has aged ten years, Isn't it weird?
- 15:37How that works? I know? And Amanda in the morning on Sage seven
- 15:43Soliday season, it doesn't feel like it. So here we are right in
- 15:46the middle of the twelve days of Christmas. The countdown is on, and
- 15:50there are things that you can do as a parent that are mistakes during the
- 15:52holidays, and it's easy to do. It's easy to fall into Amanda,
- 15:56your parent, So you've done all of these, Like, I'm sure I
- 15:58make mistakes all the time. Let's see, for example, neglecting the give
- 16:03list. Okay, well, building a wish list is fun for the kids.
- 16:07It's important to have the give list right one hundred percent. And they're
- 16:11not too young for that. We actually had that conversation three and four years
- 16:14old. Are they going to understand it? But they do, I mean
- 16:17understand giving. Yes, I mean as far as like we're let's find a
- 16:19family, let's do this or create make do something? So that is our
- 16:25plan. Yeah, that's adorable. Well, yeah, do a little something,
- 16:26just you know, a little give, a little take. Of course,
- 16:29you know, you don't need to take away the whole idea of getting
- 16:30gifts because kids love it and that's just part of it. But you know,
- 16:33it's about the understanding of it though for sure. Yeah. Also,
- 16:37they weren't even becoming a holiday martyr. You know what that means, Amanda.
- 16:40It's basically like martyr moms is who gets called out here in this particular
- 16:45list. But you know, people who just create this busy lifestyle around the
- 16:48holidays and more or less just like to complain about it, you know what
- 16:52I mean. Yes, we were talking the other day when you were gone
- 16:55about how it's okay to say no to going to holiday parties doing all that.
- 17:00It's not great and it's not good for your family or anybody to just
- 17:03pack on all of this stuff. It's exhausting. Well yeah, and they
- 17:06also you know, talk about that too, about just doing too much,
- 17:08creating unrealistic expectations for the holidays, Like you don't have to do every drive
- 17:14through light show, every Grinch themed whatever. You know, you don't have
- 17:18to go to the cookie baking contest. You can have holiday memories just chilling
- 17:22at home. Yeah, they don't have to have matching pajamis and all that
- 17:25kind of stuff. I mean, not even that seems pretty doable. I'm
- 17:26sure you've already got several. Again, no, I'm a sucker for the
- 17:29matching jammies. But again, that's just one of the things I like to
- 17:32do. Last year was kind of that first year that Christmas was a big
- 17:37thing for our kids, and I remember being so disappointed because Christmas mornings,
- 17:45Santa had already showed up and it was one of those like the excitement for
- 17:48thirty seconds and then they didn't like anything. It was this It was that
- 17:53like put it to the side board and I guess that's that age. But
- 17:56I don't know what I had in my mind, maybe watching too many movies.
- 18:00But I was expecting it to be like this day of oh my gosh,
- 18:03it's all these things and just playing with the gifts all day. While
- 18:07yes, and it was like thirty seconds and then they're onto, grabbing pots
- 18:10and pans and creating like a band. I'm like, I could have just
- 18:14done that. Get yourself a nice set of cook wear and they can play
- 18:18long. Now you're onto something. They say the number one mistake parents are
- 18:21making it in the holidays, So is using Christmas as a bribe. You
- 18:23hear it a lot, and I'm sure you've done it basically saying to your
- 18:27kids, you know, be good or else Santa Claus isn't gonna come,
- 18:30or ah, yeah, guilty. And the worst is you do it and
- 18:36sometimes you don't even realize it. My husband is so against this. He's
- 18:40like, stop saying that, you know, Santa's ohta Santa gonna come or
- 18:45any of that kind of stuff. You know. He's just like he's like,
- 18:48why are you why are you doing that? Like just what I mean,
- 18:51I think it's fair to do the old, good, old are they
- 18:53aware of the coal and the stocking? Not yet? I mean, how
- 18:56many times do you get that threat as a kid? An empty threat?
- 19:00Generally? Did you ever, like, did you ever have a jokester in
- 19:03your family that did the that'll also, if anybody deserved it, it was
- 19:07me. But no, I don't think I ever actually pulled out a lump
- 19:10of coal. I feel like there is a story, but I think one
- 19:11of my family members got a corn cob in there once come again like a
- 19:18or like a hard corn cob. Now it's hard, well you know what
- 19:21I meanmore compared to the typical corn cop Yeah, and Amanda in the morning
- 19:29on sage seven, Well, imagine waking up to find out that you not
- 19:33only have sued a fan of yours, but you've won the lawsuit. That's
- 19:37what happened with Luke Comb's country No Music Stars sings the popular song Fastcard that
- 19:44he wrote and recorded right Everybody loves But Luke Combs apparently is traumatized after he
- 19:49woke up and read a headline about himself. Turns out he had won a
- 19:52lawsuit against a fan of his for two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. So
- 19:57the fan sued somebody he did not his team sued this woman who's a big
- 20:04fan and after going to one of his shows, was inspired to start selling
- 20:10Luke Combe's tumblers on Amazon. So she was making her own tumblers okay and
- 20:17selling them. But also it's the likeness of somebody else, So I get
- 20:21where the team is like, hey, you you don't get to sell merchandise.
- 20:23You don't have so I get that. Yes, so this lady must
- 20:26be totally unaware of copyright and likeness laws. So she started selling these for
- 20:33twenty bucks a pop man. She had worked up a total of three hundred
- 20:37and eighty dollars when the team intervened and said, now, ah, lady,
- 20:41so they froze her Amazon account. She found out they were suing her.
- 20:45They go to court without Luke Comb's knowing this entire time, and end
- 20:48up winning two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Now this lady devastated. She
- 20:52apparently she has a heart issue, so she has medical bills up the wazoo
- 20:56and is just financially now crippled. You could never right, you can never
- 21:00pay that back course a regular joke. Yeah, somebody who's it's not like
- 21:04she made three hundred and eighty thousand dollars off of the Tumblr, and the
- 21:08fact that they even found that, pointed it out and took her to court
- 21:11is crazy to me. You've got a serious PR team on your own.
- 21:15Oh my god, I know. So Luke Combs feels horrible. So what
- 21:18he's done now? He said that he's gonna start selling his own tumblers,
- 21:22using his own likeness, and he's gonna give all the proceeds to her.
- 21:26This this one. Oh that's awesome, but bizarre, all of it.
- 21:30I mean, I get maybe like just washing the the lawsuit out, you
- 21:34just cancel that, But yes, do we need to make her a millionair?
- 21:38That's necessarily Also, now you're going to be making tumblers. I don't
- 21:44know. I don't killing her idea. I don't feel like I need a
- 21:48Luke. What am I missing? Does he have a song about tumblrs?
- 21:52There's some connection. Listen love a good Tumblr. I was gonna say tumblers
- 21:56are kind of that thing like Christmas. Yeah for a Stanley because apparently they're
- 22:03cool. And I can't drink water out of just a cup anymore. No,
- 22:06No, not Cyropu tumbling crazy. And he also he's vowed now to
- 22:10start going after some of the larger counterfeit, you know, merchandise people.
- 22:14So he's gonna make it right and we might all just get ourselves a nice
- 22:17little Lukecombs tumbler out of the deal. A pardon me was like, can
- 22:19I like jump on real quick and create my own tumbler so you can make
- 22:22me a millionaire real quick? Turn it like a minute in the morning on
- 22:29Big Nutty eight points seven trending. Now here's what you need. So now,
- 22:36well, Super Bowl sixty one has a home in twenty twenty seven,
- 22:40it's going to be back in la I feel like they're just kind of cycling
- 22:42through. They missed Minneapolis though, I mean that feels like a once every
- 22:45maybe ten years or so. It was just so cold the last time they
- 22:48did it. Yeah, and the logistics for it to like put up tents
- 22:52and heaters and stuff, and who needs one is the fuck Gow or a
- 22:57lambeau Field. That would be cool. It's just like it's what they're not.
- 23:00They're never gonna do an outdoor one in a cold weather city. Chicago's
- 23:03not gonna get one. Green Bay is not gonna get one. Yeah,
- 23:06you know, I never really thought about that just because of I mean February.
- 23:10That could be could be super super cool. So who's going to do
- 23:12the halftime show? Because last time they did it in LA, which was
- 23:15just two years ago, that was the best Super Bowl halftime show ever Doctor
- 23:18Dre Snoop dogg, Eminem, Kendrick, Mary J. Blige, et cetera.
- 23:22So twenty twenty seven, what would be like a throwback? Is that
- 23:23where you would maybe get in sync Backstreet boys, get like a bunch of
- 23:26boy bands or something that'd be kind of fun. No, it's got to
- 23:30be like sort of tied into the place, right, So Southern California,
- 23:33maybe instead of wrap we go into the rock genre. Who's the biggest Southern
- 23:37California rock and roll band of all time? Blank Win eighty two for a
- 23:41halftime show? You don't think Blank Win eighty two at this point to do
- 23:45a halftime show. I mean it would be hilarious because I'll even admit is
- 23:48the biggest fan of them in the world. You know, if their live
- 23:52performances aren't for everybody, so yeah, to see the anger of you know,
- 23:56everybody would be so mad. What did what did Taylor Swift call them?
- 23:59All the dad brads and chats they would have to say on Facebook would
- 24:03be hilarious. Although I mean Travis Barker just drumming away. I mean that
- 24:07would be just really cool to see it in general, but maybe for like
- 24:11a minute, and then I'd probably be a good Well listen, a man,
- 24:14it's a heck of a show. You sound intrigued. Do you have
- 24:15five minutes? I've love this form you up about the band again? Next
- 24:18up and Low Standards is opening for him. Now. I was gonna say
- 24:22it, but it would be twenty twenty seven a perfect match, all right.
- 24:26The trajectory were on Amanda. That's obviously what's next. So there's a
- 24:30lot of dogs still getting sick in the FM area, and a doctor r
- 24:34at ndsu Vetinary Lab is just letting people know that they still do not know
- 24:38what this new illness is, but just make sure that your dog isn't around
- 24:42multiple dogs because that seems to be where a lot of these dogs are getting
- 24:45this illness. I mean, it's not even an infection disease. It's hard
- 24:48to even describe what it is right now. But she's saying, of course,
- 24:52too. The holiday is maybe if you're boarding your dog, think about
- 24:55getting a pet sitter. She encourages vets by the way, to keep sending
- 24:57any cases of this respiratory illness to them because that way they're getting the data.
- 25:03She says, so far, we've received a lot of stuff that could
- 25:04be helpful. But how cool would be of NDSU and their technology and the
- 25:08you know, the vet people there were able to detect what this was.
- 25:12It would be awesome. It'd be great for the dogs because it sounds like
- 25:15this illness is pretty rough, man, I miss Steal, What do you
- 25:19mean? It sounds it sounds like a difficult illness to go. And every
- 25:27Friday we get new and fun products from Dustin and Happy Harry's bottle shops,
- 25:32and they're coming up with everything. I mean, the sunny d thing was
- 25:34the first where I went, Okay, this is just crazy. This is
- 25:37insane what they're like putting together. It was couldn't quick wrap your mind around
- 25:41it. On No, But I'm like, are you kidding me? Like
- 25:44we're doing all these different things. I love it. This one though,
- 25:47Doritos jumping in the liquor game with eighty four proof liquor it's gonna be a
- 25:52nacho cheese flavor. Don't even flavored drink. Come on now, not cho
- 25:57cheese. Oh whose cheese is? But see, you're just as bad stuff.
- 26:00I know you got me going. But the nacho cheese, bloody Marry,
- 26:04I don't feel like that is the thing. Cheese drinks in general just
- 26:08don't sound too appetizing. But hey, eighty four proof after a couple who
- 26:12cares just want to shot at derita. Now, what's your favorite dorito flavoring?
- 26:18See? I I do like nacho cheese for a taco in a bag.
- 26:22Like that's to up your game? Yes, but cool ranches if I'm
- 26:26gonna just be picking at them, but my teeth like I can taste just
- 26:30the goo leftovers. Yeah, what's another one? Well there's salsage doritos.
- 26:36Oh I've never had that. Oh you got it a man to try that
- 26:37salts and doritash, Your life will change, all right. Gonna be nice
- 26:41today. Sunshine high a forty six. We could actually see some flurries Friday
- 26:45night, cooling down a little bit, then back up for the weekend.
- 26:48Nothing but sunshine and mid thirties, maybe even hitting forty. A game like
- 26:52get Amanda in the morning. Come on, get up on Big Sunshine Hive
- 26:56about forty six, get out and enjoy. Oh yeah, well a little
- 27:02warm for Santa for his like I mean, you might have to strip down
- 27:03to maybe like a red bikini, a little boxers or something. I mean,
- 27:08he goes to other places. I'm sure the weather will turned by Christmas,
- 27:11but eleven days I know at the North Pole. Yeah, nice and
- 27:15crisp, of course, and that's where he's currently getting frantically ready for the
- 27:18big Christmas Day. But you know, we have the hotline setup so you
- 27:22can call Santa Claus. You can tell him what you want for Christmas.
- 27:25He'll get the voicemail, you know, and then he'll bring it to you.
