- 0:00Hey guys, welcome back to Girls Unplugged.
- 0:02Today we are talking about all things fictional men because as
- 0:07romance and romance to see girls, there's a lot of red
- 0:10flags, there's a lot of green flags that we notice and feel
- 0:13like it's only fair. We dissect how they affect our
- 0:16standards in real life. Yeah, as a married woman and a
- 0:19very single woman. Yeah, we have definitely two
- 0:23different life experiences for this one. 100%.
- 0:26But let's get into it so first. Question for you, who was your
- 0:30first fictional crush that you like vividly remember?
- 0:34Are we talking books? Anything.
- 0:36Anything. I feel like it's not just books
- 0:38because let's face it, like TV characters do this to us as
- 0:42well. Yeah, like.
- 0:43Just anyone. OK, I feel like mine was
- 0:46definitely Max from Hocus Pocus and and then but that was like,
- 0:55that was like a very sweet innocent crush.
- 0:58And then I feel like my first proper one, where it was like
- 1:00posters on the wall, was Edward Cullen.
- 1:04Oh my God, Yeah, fair. I mean, I'm.
- 1:06Still a Robert Pattinson stand now, aren't I?
- 1:10He's like the. Not me so much.
- 1:13Yeah, no. So yeah.
- 1:15But I feel like Max from Hocus Pocus very much sets up a
- 1:19precedent for the rest of my dating life as well actually.
- 1:22Because he's like very grumpy, very brooding, very like woe is
- 1:28me. So true, Too cool for school.
- 1:31I've even had an ex call with Max so I think mine has like
- 1:37manifested its way into my life. Oh my God, yeah, that's so true.
- 1:41What about I don't even do you know what I genuinely don't
- 1:45like? Remember.
- 1:46I don't remember a lot from childhood.
- 1:48I just don't have that type of memory.
- 1:50I feel like the first character I remember being like like book
- 1:56wise it actually was Edward because I like read those books
- 2:00obviously like fairly young when they came out and he was my
- 2:03first like I need this man to be my boyfriend in real life.
- 2:06First time I remember it from a book.
- 2:09Actually. That's a lie.
- 2:10Definitely Vampire Academy came before that.
- 2:12So it would have been Dmitri Belikov would have been my first
- 2:15like book. I can't remember.
- 2:19What would have come first? Yeah, I was just.
- 2:20About to say I can't remember if it was House of Night, Vampire
- 2:23Academy, or Twilight first. I definitely read House of
- 2:26Knight after those books. It would have been like Edward
- 2:29or Dimitri. But I remember being absolutely
- 2:33obsessed with the Twilight books, obviously when they came
- 2:36out. Yeah, TV wise, Damon Salvatore.
- 2:40Yeah, Like, I was like, in my late teens when I started
- 2:43watching that show, early 20s even.
- 2:46But that's the first, like, fictional man I remember seeing
- 2:48on TV and being like, I am so unbelievably obsessed with this
- 2:52man. It's unreal.
- 2:54And then Klaus came in. And then Klaus never got another
- 2:56look. No.
- 2:57I mean, he got some looks, but Klaus and Caroline, that
- 2:59storyline just. Yeah, see, I'm an Enzo girly, as
- 3:03you know. And he's a lovely man.
- 3:06He's a lovely man. He's a very lovely man.
- 3:09But yeah, that makes sense. I honestly don't know which of
- 3:11those books I read first, but if because I I definitely always
- 3:16often refer to James Stark from House of Night as like my first
- 3:20proper book boyfriend because I was obsessed with him, but I
- 3:25can't. I equally can't remember which
- 3:26one came first, but as you know, I'm not a Dimitri girl in
- 3:29Vampire Academy. Anyway, I'm an Adrian girl.
- 3:31You are an Adrian. Girl I.
- 3:33Love him. I mean there was fictional men
- 3:35before that. Like, even when I think that's a
- 3:36like Buffy, Charmed, like I loved.
- 3:39Yeah, I love. Angel.
- 3:42But I don't remember having that same, like, infatuation of I
- 3:48literally want my boyfriend to be like this, like I did when I
- 3:51first started watching Damon on TV.
- 3:53I need a man like this in my life.
- 3:55Yeah, because I just felt like as a teenager, you don't have
- 3:58that same sense of relationships.
- 4:01Yeah, 100%. But but Damon is such a walking
- 4:04talking like red flag it's unreal.
- 4:07Oh yeah, I'm Edward. I mean, he literally watches her
- 4:10sleep and stalks her. Yeah, he's so fucking creepy.
- 4:15He's a Gemini. I'm just saying.
- 4:16Is he actually? Yeah, but I can't make fun
- 4:19because they always say he's also an INFJ personality type
- 4:22too, and that's mine. So he's basically a mixture of
- 4:25me and you. I mean, what a good place to be.
- 4:29That's our first red flag. We're like.
- 4:31Edward Cullen. I mean, if you're a Gemini, I
- 4:33feel like you're a walking, talking red flag anyway.
- 4:35Like, yeah. True, you're my only Gemini
- 4:37friend. Actually.
- 4:39Wow. Yeah, I feel so honest.
- 4:41I don't typically get along with them.
- 4:45OK, so the next thing I want to ask you is what's the number one
- 4:50thing that you expected from real men, real relationships
- 4:54that you got from books that's actually different, I feel like.
- 4:57From like my teen reading that like typical like YA like grown
- 5:02up. The marked, the vampire Academy
- 5:06was for them to be vampires. Yeah.
- 5:09But no, I just think like I always expected all hopes, I
- 5:17guess that might not. I feel like I expected like all
- 5:21men to be like protective, obsessed with you.
- 5:24Like once you kind of like found someone that you felt like there
- 5:26was a genuine chemistry in connection with.
- 5:29And then like going into my late teens, early 20s, realising that
- 5:34actually 99% of the male population are dogs when it
- 5:38comes to relationships at that age because they just can't and
- 5:42don't commit. And even if like when I think
- 5:44back on some of my ex boyfriends, like the chemistry
- 5:47was 100% there between us but they're just fucking straight.
- 5:52Do you? Know what I mean?
- 5:53And I feel like I did not expect that going into the proper, like
- 6:00dating, well, once I kind of finished school, you know?
- 6:03What I mean, Yeah, I definitely know what you mean.
- 6:04I feel like that too. But I think even more so for me
- 6:08was like, I expected men to communicate more like they do in
- 6:12books, as in like, like at any age, whether you read Yana,
- 6:17adult men in books tell people more.
- 6:22Men written by women. Men written by women communicate
- 6:25their feelings more and they do words of affirmation more.
- 6:29That bothers me now as a 33 year old married woman.
- 6:32I'm like, why doesn't Kyle do this thing?
- 6:33Yeah, like just just say what the problem is.
- 6:36Just say how you feel. Just tell me the truth, even if
- 6:40I want to hear it. But like in real life?
- 6:43A lot. Of men, not all, but a lot like
- 6:46to play games. Maybe men shouldn't be watching
- 6:48this episode. Content warning at the
- 6:50beginning. Do you think we have any male
- 6:52watchers anyway? It's literally called girls.
- 6:56But yeah, like I feel like men don't really like to say how
- 6:59they feel, don't really want to tell you what their intentions
- 7:02are if they get. If they're in bad.
- 7:04Intentions and then not very, like, confident with expressing
- 7:08how they feel compared to, like, women.
- 7:10Yeah. So that is something I think I
- 7:14definitely expected to be different in real life.
- 7:18I also just felt like I was going to meet one person and
- 7:21that would be it. Like, you know, but that doesn't
- 7:23happen. I definitely didn't feel like
- 7:25that. I feel like Sex and the City
- 7:26gave me the right expectations of war.
- 7:29I didn't watch that until. It was going to be like, yeah.
- 7:33I should have watched that younger.
- 7:34I didn't watch it until it was like uni, but yeah, I think the
- 7:38communication thing is the is the most realistic and biggest
- 7:41thing, yeah. This is why we want all men to
- 7:43read books written by women, yeah, So that they understand
- 7:46what we actually want. Yeah, Yeah.
- 7:49It's like a manual at this point.
- 7:51It's really easy. You just.
- 7:53Communication either guys. No, definitely not.
- 7:57Definitely not. If you.
- 7:59Feel like you're lacking? In the sexual department, read a
- 8:01few books written by women. If you need Rex, hit us up.
- 8:05I was just that made me. The sex isn't quite like how it
- 8:09is in books either. Sometimes depends who you're
- 8:11with, sometimes it's great. I feel like that though can be
- 8:15like the length of time in a relationship as well sometimes.
- 8:18Sometimes they're just icky. Yeah, yeah, 100%.
- 8:22Sometimes they are just icky, but I feel like sometimes like
- 8:26it's very rare that you like meet someone, have a one night
- 8:29stand and have like the most mind blowing of your life.
- 8:32Like that comes of getting to know each other and feeling
- 8:35comfortable and confident with each other, I think.
- 8:37Yeah, but I don't even do that anyway, so I'm only talking
- 8:40about relationships. Yeah, not there's anything wrong
- 8:42with it doing that. You know, I don't judge, but I
- 8:45have only slept with people I either been dating or in a
- 8:47relationship with. And even then sometimes you, you
- 8:51like, you can have been with someone like 2 months before you
- 8:54sleep for him and you think this is going to be great.
- 8:56I fancy him so much. And then you're like.
- 9:00I can't say that wait two months to sleep.
- 9:05OK, but. But I know what you mean.
- 9:08There's a build up like you'd be seeing each other for a little
- 9:10while and then you finally do it and then you're like, Oh no.
- 9:13Yeah. Whereas in all books it's
- 9:17always. Mind blowing, yeah.
- 9:19And you're like. And and that's not true, it's my
- 9:22phone when they've been travelling for weeks and they're
- 9:25dirty and they've not. Showered and.
- 9:27They're in a tent. No way I absolutely that is they
- 9:33were in reefs in alcohol where it literally says drown out the
- 9:38sounds of the dying. Oh my God, that's so true.
- 9:44That's like, no, that can't be good.
- 9:47I refuse to believe it. Yeah, true.
- 9:49Fair. Yeah.
- 9:50I mean, who knows? Yeah.
- 9:52I mean, it's recent, so. OK, so let's talk.
- 9:54About actual. Red flags and books that we
- 9:57love. Yeah.
- 9:58But if it was real life, it would be an absolute no no.
- 10:01OK OK so stalking red flag cannot express real life red
- 10:09flag. Like books?
- 10:11It's a green. Flag.
- 10:12It's not even a green flag in books for me.
- 10:14Like I can't. Again, not judging but can't say
- 10:17I enjoy a stalker romance. Listen, being so obsessed with
- 10:21her, you have to follow her. I'm like, yeah, I love this
- 10:25shit. I have to be in the mood for it.
- 10:28I'd like to say like, I'm not a ride or die dark romance girly
- 10:33like my soul mate Amy, like sheep with some fucking dark
- 10:37shit and loves it constantly. But yeah, I mean, haunted man, I
- 10:43was. I was all about that guy for a
- 10:44little while. Yeah, see, that was just like,
- 10:46not for me, not my vibe. I do, however, occasionally dip
- 10:50into mafia romance. But.
- 10:52If you were, if you messaged me, say you were single and you
- 10:56messaged me in real life and said, wow, I've started seeing
- 10:59this guy. He keeps leaving me presents on
- 11:01my doorstep. He keeps turning up to where I
- 11:04work. I would be like talk, get a
- 11:06fucking restraining. Order someone that talks to me.
- 11:09Yeah, he gifted his hands. No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 11:13I would honestly lock you in my flat.
- 11:17Like could be like well now thinking.
- 11:21Sorry girl, I didn't swing that way.
- 11:23But yeah, no, no, absolutely worst red flag there could be.
- 11:27I mean, I would never in real life, like I would be totally
- 11:31obviously freaked out. But in books, yes, sometimes I
- 11:35just feel like it brings a different vibe to a romance.
- 11:37Fair enough. Do you know what one thing I
- 11:41fucking hate in books and real life?
- 11:44So it's a red flag on paper, It's a red flag in real life.
- 11:48Love bombing. Oh, Oh yes.
- 11:51Too much too fast mate, You are, you are.
- 11:56Gone if. You're a love bummer.
- 11:58Like first date and you're texting me a million times a
- 12:01day. No, there's no way.
- 12:04Yeah, and I've only experienced this once or it like ended up
- 12:09being the biggest red flag out of anyone I've ever dated.
- 12:12So I definitely agree. But I don't think I've read many
- 12:15books. I guess like maybe books, it
- 12:18kind of translates to insta love in a little bit, which I hate.
- 12:21That's like my least favorite romance trope.
- 12:24I don't even mind, I don't like insta love, it's not too bad,
- 12:28but it's when it's like weirdly obsessive really quickly, not
- 12:32even really quickly like real life experience, remember?
- 12:37This. Situation shit didn't work out.
- 12:40Pop that off. I went to Australia and then all
- 12:44of a sudden while I was gone, he was texting me like we were
- 12:47together and this was some months after we've been together
- 12:50and he was like bombarding me and I was like, sorry, what even
- 12:56is this? Like we are not together.
- 12:57We haven't slept together in months.
- 13:00Why? Why are you all?
- 13:02Of a sudden becoming so obsessive.
- 13:04Yeah, What was he even trying to gain from that?
- 13:06You're on a different continent. Literally it's.
- 13:08So strange, Yeah. But again, like, I would call
- 13:11that love bombing. And it is the least attractive
- 13:15thing ever. It's like, I feel like there's a
- 13:17fine line with possessiveness, green flag versus red flag.
- 13:22But sometimes it. Carl's been a bit obsessed from.
- 13:25Oh, OK, Sir, do you know what I mean?
- 13:28That's fine. Like we're married.
- 13:29Like if he was really weirdly possessive, like, no, no, no,
- 13:32no, no. But you know, like.
- 13:34There's a difference between. Very protective and like I'm not
- 13:37it's so. Attractive.
- 13:38Yeah, there's a difference between protective and
- 13:40possessive and controlling I. Think that's 100%?
- 13:43It translates into a. Great way to explain.
- 13:46It because if he was telling you like what you kind of can't
- 13:48wear. Oh no.
- 13:50It wouldn't fly. I mean, you know me.
- 13:52There's absolutely no way. No way.
- 13:54Joke's on him if you try. But like, yeah, that I think is
- 13:58where like someone who is a little bit protective of you and
- 14:03is really looking out for you. Yeah.
- 14:06You can tell that comes from a place of love and nurture and
- 14:08care, a person that is restricting who you're talking
- 14:12to, restricting what you wear, telling.
- 14:14You about a narcissist. Exactly.
- 14:17Yeah, exactly. So there is a fine line for
- 14:20sure. And I definitely agree with you.
- 14:22Possessiveness or protectiveness, however we want
- 14:25to phrase it and can be attractive.
- 14:28But love bombing? No, No.
- 14:32And it is one of the biggest signs of an artist actually,
- 14:35isn't it? Yeah.
- 14:35Because they're using, like, materialistic gifts and, like,
- 14:38luxuries and like, making themselves look really caring
- 14:42and good. I saw that recently.
- 14:44So what about you? Fictional versus real?
- 14:48Red flags? Green flags?
- 14:50Things you love, Hate. Well, like, yeah, like in books,
- 14:55I really love a grumpy man who, like, doesn't really say how he
- 14:59feels. And I have in the past, dated
- 15:02that, too. But what I've learned as I've
- 15:03got older is actually, that's not very attractive because you
- 15:07want someone you can laugh with. You want someone who tells you
- 15:09how they feel and can communicate openly.
- 15:12But like, those types of men usually tend to be the ones that
- 15:15are, like, closed off or they've had some trauma that they
- 15:19haven't dealt with. So I think grumpy men in real
- 15:22life is a bit of a red flag, but I eat it.
- 15:27All so Kyle. Yeah, but even then, he's not
- 15:29grumpy in the sense that like when he comes home and I'm here
- 15:32with you, he's like. Hi, he's.
- 15:33So approached, you know what I mean?
- 15:34Like there's different types. I mean someone who is like
- 15:37outwardly unsociable asshole, yeah, is what you mean.
- 15:40Someone who's a damn right fucking prick.
- 15:42Exactly. Yeah, like some of the things
- 15:44that these grumpy men in books do to the women at the start.
- 15:47Yeah. Even like Teddy and Gus in Lost
- 15:49and Lassoed, he's kind of rude to her.
- 15:51He's so rude to her and he's like, for what?
- 15:55But you know you're fucking. Eating it up, yeah.
- 15:57This is so good. Yeah, but if it was in a book, I
- 16:01mean, if it was in real life, yeah.
- 16:03No, no A. 100% I agree. I do agree with that.
- 16:06OK, so we're going to play a game of Smash or Pass.
- 16:08OK. So we'll say some fictional
- 16:10men's names, and both say whether we would smash or pass.
- 16:14Yeah. OK.
- 16:15Yeah, First one obvious one. Resend.
- 16:19Smash, smash. Smash smash.
- 16:23Listen, he is the OG romantic book boyfriend.
- 16:28He is. He's not for me, but I know what
- 16:31you mean. In, like, adult life, yeah.
- 16:34Yeah, yeah, like agreed. Yeah, he's just the blueprint.
- 16:39He is the blueprint. That's the right thing.
- 16:41He's not the OG. Yeah, he is the blueprint for
- 16:44like 1 of the perfect, like, fictional men.
- 16:48Yeah, characters. He's morally grey, but like he.
- 16:53So swoon worthy as well. Yeah, he cares about favorite
- 16:56so. Much and his friends.
- 16:58That's one of his most likable things about him.
- 17:00Yep, he's charismatic, he's witty, like the banter between
- 17:05them, especially in Akamai. But spoiler not too spoiler with
- 17:12the thing that he keeps from fair in a court.
- 17:14Silver flames. Massive red flag in fictional
- 17:17life and in real life. It is, but I also don't think
- 17:19it's as bad as people make out. Like when I read it, I was kind
- 17:22of like, this is clearly a man who is like terrified.
- 17:26It's like his worst nightmare given what happened to obviously
- 17:28his sister and his mom as well. I want you to say that when
- 17:31you've had a baby, OK, That when you had a baby.
- 17:37We revisit this conversation in 10 years.
- 17:42But no. But like I, I guess it's not
- 17:45that. I don't think it's red flag.
- 17:46I understand. Yes, I know I do.
- 17:49Get what? You're saying so?
- 17:50I still love that, man. Me too.
- 17:53OK, who else have we got? Damon Salvatore.
- 17:57Pass. I knew you were going to pull
- 17:59that face. He's a pass for me.
- 18:02He is such a smash, but only when his hair's not.
- 18:05Too long. Yeah, OK.
- 18:07I find the icky the long hair thing.
- 18:09No offense members, long hair but.
- 18:12It's just not for you. The physical vibe, it's when his
- 18:15hair is shorter, like specific seasons.
- 18:18I'm like. Yes, yeah.
- 18:20No, he's a past for me. OK.
- 18:23I've never really understood the Damon hype.
- 18:26I don't know why I like him as a character.
- 18:28Like, I love him and Bonnie as friends.
- 18:30Like, I'm about to have a heart. I think.
- 18:33Like, he just annoys me quite a lot.
- 18:37And like, even looks wise, he's a little bit too pretty for me.
- 18:41He kind of reminds me of a wolf. I don't know how to explain that
- 18:44in any other way other than like, he's got super blue eyes
- 18:47and a really strong jawline and he kind of looks always like
- 18:50he's going to eat you, which fits his character.
- 18:53But yeah, he just doesn't. He just doesn't do it for me,
- 18:57OK? Yeah, OK.
- 18:58Well, we'll live with him. We'll.
- 19:00Live with you. Lancer, Ryan Smash.
- 19:06Literally my favorite book boyfriend of all time.
- 19:10Of all time. I think me too, yeah.
- 19:13I feel like I have like a tie of like 5.
- 19:16I think that really stand out for me.
- 19:18But he is right out there with my top fictional men of all
- 19:22time. Yeah, especially in the romantic
- 19:23space. And he's grumpy.
- 19:26But not with Darcy. Really.
- 19:29Yeah. Especially not in the latest
- 19:30book. Yes, he's so intelligent.
- 19:34He's kind of emo. Is he?
- 19:37Yeah, because I don't take emo from him at all.
- 19:39No, not like emo aesthetic, like emo.
- 19:42Like he's very grumpy. Yeah, he's very well with me.
- 19:45Yeah. Yeah.
- 19:46He's an intellectual. Like.
- 19:49Yeah, he's a professor. And he has a library.
- 19:52Weird thing with we have a weird thing you and I with this like
- 19:55student, teacher. Thing I just wonder.
- 19:57Where it comes from that's a red flag.
- 19:59Like honestly if I see student teacher I'm.
- 20:01I'm going to buy it. I'm going to read it.
- 20:03Yeah, and actually I was talking about this with Mosey Reads on
- 20:06Book Talk yesterday and she was telling me to read Noctocadia,
- 20:10which a few people have recommended to me now.
- 20:13And it's it's teacher student and I was realizing I haven't
- 20:17read one in a long time. So I got a bump out of the TBR.
- 20:19Interesting. OK, fine, Noctocadia.
- 20:22On the list, yeah. But yeah, Lance Smash all day,
- 20:26any position, over and over again.
- 20:30OK, Carter Beckett. Pass pass pass pass pass.
- 20:35Why? I love him, yeah, but he would
- 20:38drive me mad. Yeah.
- 20:41And he is a bit of an ick sometimes.
- 20:45He's a bit crazy. Oh.
- 20:46My God, he is. Yeah.
- 20:48I can only see him as a friend or like a brother.
- 20:52See, I feel like if we were playing like Marry, Kill, you'd
- 21:00do it because. Who he was against?
- 21:04You'd have to, but I do get what you mean.
- 21:08He would drive me round the twist.
- 21:12I would. You're right, it probably would
- 21:14be a pass. I just feel bad saying that
- 21:17because I love his character so much.
- 21:20But in a sense of dating, you're right, I think it would be a
- 21:22pass. I personally couldn't date.
- 21:24Someone like that, No. I love him as a character as
- 21:27well, but if we were talking about to date to marry he would
- 21:30be bottom of the playing for keeps list for me.
- 21:33Actually, out of all of their guys, fair.
- 21:36Yeah, I feel like we need to do an episode on sports romance.
- 21:40Yeah, or just an episode of Ranking for Boyfriends as well.
- 21:44How do you feel about that, guys?
- 21:45Let us know. Boyfriends, yes.
- 21:47Comment below. Let's do that.
- 21:49But yeah. Okay, fair Gus, what's his face
- 21:53from Beechreed? Gus.
- 21:55Everett, Gus Everett. That's.
- 21:57It smash. See.
- 21:58I'd pass. Really.
- 22:00Yeah, he's a bit sweet for you. He's a bit too sweet for me.
- 22:03Yeah, for me, he is perfect. Yeah, he is literally like,
- 22:09yeah, I want a real life Gus Everett.
- 22:10He is so. We need to find you a Gus a
- 22:13Dusty. Yeah, we do a dusty, please,
- 22:16because he's got a nose ring. But no.
- 22:20But like, I just love everything about him.
- 22:25So sweet. I love that you love.
- 22:27Sweetening. It's pretty.
- 22:28Adorable. Apparently not in real life
- 22:30though. Apparently it doesn't translate
- 22:34with but no Gus is like. I actually think that Gus is the
- 22:38perfect balance of sweet, but not too sweet actually because
- 22:41there is some bits where he's kind of grumpy and like they
- 22:44hate each other and start. They do, don't they?
- 22:48Actually, yeah, I forget about that.
- 22:49It's a real tension. Not hate, but it's.
- 22:52Not enemies to. Love us, but it's.
- 22:54Disliked. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 22:56OK, last one. Edward Cullen I.
- 22:59Mean, I know he's not actually 17, but I can only see him as
- 23:0417. Maybe if I was to if you were
- 23:0717. If I was 17 it would be a smash.
- 23:10Adult me would pass because he's a walking red flag.
- 23:16Yeah, I feel the same. Like if I if I was answering
- 23:19this as a 19 year old girl reading the books originally, it
- 23:23would be yes, me. Now I don't like the books and I
- 23:28don't, I hate to say this, don't like the actor that plays him in
- 23:32the film. So I have no attraction to the
- 23:37character and I still love watching the films.
- 23:40I hit the reread of the book, yeah.
- 23:43So no, no part of me is attracted to that character any
- 23:46longer. Yeah, although you've actually
- 23:48just reminded me. If it's like DILF Breaking Dawn,
- 23:51Edward smash. Especially if it's DILF Breaking
- 23:56Dawn movie Edward and it's Robert Panson in a hoodie when
- 24:01he's like, you've given me no choice.
- 24:02I love that. But yeah, I'd smash him.
- 24:09Sure. OK, well that was a lot of fun,
- 24:13and I feel like even though we've maybe got some unrealistic
- 24:17standards from bookish men, it's helping us not settle for less
- 24:22in real life. Yeah, I mean, even still
- 24:24married, I still expect more and more from the books I read.
- 24:27As you should, but that was so much fun.
- 24:31Don't forget to drop us a comment below actually, and tell
- 24:34us what your biggest bookish red flag is in Men.
- 24:38And also let us know if you would like us to do an episode.
- 24:41So on ranking book boyfriends or sports romance as a genre, we
- 24:47could definitely do a whole episode about that.
- 24:48We are big sports romance. 100% yeah huge and don't forget to

- 24:55Drop us a comments, spread the love and we will see you in a
