- 0:11Speaker 2: Meghan and Froggy.
- 0:13Speaker 3: It's a good morning. How are you Megan?
- 0:15Speaker 4: Doing good this morning? Glad to be with you two.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Always another muggyish kind of day. The rain did come
- 0:21Speaker 2: yesterday in our neck of the woods, how about you. Yeah,
- 0:23Speaker 2: came out towards the beach as well.
- 0:25Speaker 5: We got some ring My internet was out all day yesterday,
- 0:27Speaker 5: so we had to buy an antenna because I can't
- 0:30Speaker 5: stand not to have that background noise of the TV.
- 0:32Speaker 4: We ring up the TV.
- 0:35Speaker 1: We always have the TV's burning in my house too.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Probably such a waste of electricity, but it's the you know,
- 0:42Speaker 1: it's the comfort window.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Ye white, Yes, exactly, that's wild. We don't have it
- 0:47Speaker 3: on now. I used to.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I grew up that way. Really, he was always on
- 0:50Speaker 2: my nooys. My mom always had a TV on. But
- 0:53Speaker 2: then my wife is not the you know, we turned
- 0:55Speaker 2: the TV on, then we're done, we turn it off.
- 0:57Speaker 2: I remember when were first married. I'm like, what are
- 0:59Speaker 2: you doing? Well, we're done. Watching TV. Yeah, but you
- 1:02Speaker 2: can leave it on. Yeah, she always turns. My wife
- 1:05Speaker 2: turns it off when we leave the house. But I'm like,
- 1:08Speaker 2: leave it on for the dog.
- 1:10Speaker 6: Yep, bark TV.
- 1:12Speaker 5: Yeah, but sometimes I think it makes them sad because
- 1:15Speaker 5: they have no companion there. They just sit and watch
- 1:17Speaker 5: these other dogs live their luxuries.
- 1:20Speaker 3: In silence. That's true.
- 1:23Speaker 5: Mine gets Gilmore Girls, That's what she likes to watch.
- 1:26Speaker 6: Barked Carol King singing the intro.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Let's get three things on. See what else is going
- 1:31Speaker 2: on in the world.
- 1:32Speaker 5: Remember we were talking about lightning yesterday and striking people. Well,
- 1:36Speaker 5: I guess in Palaca, the East Putnam Regional water system
- 1:40Speaker 5: it got hit. So if you do live in Palatka
- 1:43Speaker 5: and your water is coming from that in East Putnam County,
- 1:46Speaker 5: you're in a boil advisory. So put that water on
- 1:48Speaker 5: boil for one minute, or get you some of those
- 1:50Speaker 5: water bottles.
- 1:51Speaker 2: I saw that. I think we manifested that unfortunately. Yeah,
- 1:53Speaker 2: sorry about that guy. We're so Yeah, you got to
- 1:57Speaker 2: brush your teeth with bottled water.
- 1:58Speaker 1: They say don't even brush your teeth with water because
- 2:00Speaker 1: it could contain bacteria.
- 2:03Speaker 5: Not fun to be in. But hopefully they'll get it
- 2:05Speaker 5: taken care of pretty quick. We've got a full circle moment.
- 2:08Speaker 5: Remember I was telling you guys about how our Florida
- 2:14Speaker 5: State Troopers pictures of a car were all submitted for
- 2:18Speaker 5: different oh yeah states, and it was us in Georgia
- 2:21Speaker 5: were like neck and neck and.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Georgia was AI.
- 2:23Speaker 6: It looked like AI.
- 2:24Speaker 5: Yeah, they had this weird horse in the background. It
- 2:26Speaker 5: did not look real. Turns out the judges thought so too.
- 2:29Speaker 5: They got third. We took home number one spot for
- 2:33Speaker 5: best looking cruise of contest.
- 2:35Speaker 3: State of Florida.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Florida State Highway Patrol. Our photo was on a bridge
- 2:39Speaker 1: with the sunset or something like.
- 2:41Speaker 4: That, right, Yeah, can't beat us.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Well, it's hard to beat the Florida sunsets, that's for sure.
- 2:46Speaker 5: And speaking of our law enforcement, operation Southern Slow Down
- 2:50Speaker 5: is in full swing across our state, so you'll see
- 2:54Speaker 5: likely you'll see more law enforcement on the roads. And
- 2:56Speaker 5: just remember they're trying to do their job and cut
- 2:59Speaker 5: down on speeding really accidents this summer year.
- 3:01Speaker 6: So you know, they look good and hopefully they're going
- 3:04Speaker 6: to do some.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Good for us.
- 3:05Speaker 3: You know, we met our new sales girl last week.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Her name is Jen.
- 3:09Speaker 1: She's stopped by the studio and she got a ticket
- 3:11Speaker 1: on the way into work. Yeah, she gave us some
- 3:13Speaker 1: good intel. If you're over ten miles an hour over
- 3:17Speaker 1: the speed limit, I think she was eleven, they'll stop you.
- 3:19Speaker 1: So if you're doing like nine miles an hour over
- 3:21Speaker 1: the speed limit, they're probably gonna let you slide.
- 3:24Speaker 7: There.
- 3:24Speaker 2: It is, and especially now that they are more, they're
- 3:26Speaker 2: telling you the great thing. They used to call us
- 3:28Speaker 2: sometimes and go, hey, our job is to keep you safe.
- 3:32Speaker 2: And I said, our job is to keep our listeners
- 3:34Speaker 2: safe too, So tell us where you are and we'll
- 3:36Speaker 2: make sure that they go.
- 3:37Speaker 3: You know.
- 3:38Speaker 2: He got called up one time. It was a it
- 3:39Speaker 2: was a sergeant said, hey, we're out there. We're camped
- 3:41Speaker 2: out of the base of the Juliant and Greek Bridge.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Go to speed limit please.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Yeah, that was nice. That's all they want to do.
- 3:47Speaker 3: They're not trying to have tickets.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Probably. Yeah, you don't have to get out of your car.
- 3:51Speaker 1: As much as people know.
- 3:52Speaker 5: Exactly, I'm making that three things you need to know today.
- 3:56Speaker 1: You know, it's only the lower nineties, but we'll have
- 3:58Speaker 1: a chance to showers a big show. Country ninety nine
- 4:02Speaker 1: one to wu qik Froggy, we need some good news.
- 4:09Speaker 8: So with's no secret how much we love music here
- 4:12Speaker 8: at Country ninety nine wanted to w a qik. But
- 4:14Speaker 8: over in val Rico, just east of Tampa, two longtime
- 4:18Speaker 8: friends with the Special Olympics Florida. They created a program.
- 4:21Speaker 8: It's called Unified Music and Motion. They can buy an exercise, drumming,
- 4:26Speaker 8: yoga and music into free classes where people of all
- 4:29Speaker 8: abilities could laugh, move and they just connect together. The
- 4:32Speaker 8: founder said the goal wasn't just fitness. It was more
- 4:34Speaker 8: about making sure everyone felt welcome. Sometimes the best workout
- 4:38Speaker 8: it isn't for your body, it's for your mind and
- 4:41Speaker 8: your heart.
- 4:41Speaker 2: You got a feel good story wing, it's the big show.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Great to be with you on your Tuesday. Yes, good
- 4:46Speaker 2: morning day.
- 4:47Speaker 7: Speaking of the speaking issue, if you have the ways out,
- 4:51Speaker 7: every time I see police ahead, I put not there
- 4:54Speaker 7: because I want for God behind me to get caught.
- 4:57Speaker 9: You dirty dog, dirty dog's or if they fly by
- 5:02Speaker 9: me and I'm really am a bad mud then I'll.
- 5:04Speaker 7: Hit police ahead, hidden police, and then I'll put police
- 5:10Speaker 7: all over the road for this. You put hidden police, well,
- 5:15Speaker 7: that means are hitting you can't see it right, So.
- 5:18Speaker 2: You're playing a real world version of battleship or something there,
- 5:21Speaker 2: aren't you.
- 5:23Speaker 7: Ca Yeah, it comes from being retired for a little while.
- 5:27Speaker 6: But this man's a community officer.
- 5:34Speaker 3: You need to sign up.
- 5:37Speaker 7: I can truly say I'm one of the ones who
- 5:39Speaker 7: pull over Robbie Rose many years ago. And he did.
- 5:43Speaker 7: He did. He did offer me a whopper. Let me
- 5:51Speaker 7: ask you this that he didn't try to bribe me.
- 5:54Speaker 7: He said he had to give out so many cubbons
- 5:56Speaker 7: and he had wait too many for the months.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Did you let him off for the warning after that.
- 6:01Speaker 7: No, sir, sure did not.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Did you take the walker that you took the wapper
- 6:06Speaker 3: card though?
- 6:08Speaker 7: That's right? Two warnings and a fry.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Thank you for calling man, We appreciate that.
- 6:14Speaker 2: So, yes, the police are out a little bit more
- 6:17Speaker 2: than usual and they're telling you do the speed limit.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Yeah, they have a name for what are they calling.
- 6:22Speaker 5: It, Oh, it's the Southern Southern Safety, Southern speed Trap Safety.
- 6:28Speaker 10: Something something something like that, Operation Southern Slow Down.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Okay, So if you see police out there, definitely give
- 6:33Speaker 1: us a call. Three eight thirty six ninety nine. Maybe
- 6:36Speaker 1: we'll save some people from getting a ticket this morning.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Although it's payday tomorrow, so you can afford it. In
- 6:43Speaker 1: ninety nine days in summer are fumbily John Meighan and
- 6:46Speaker 1: Froggy Country ninety nine one w q IK And we
- 6:49Speaker 1: always learned something new about each other, and we learned
- 6:51Speaker 1: today that in her little Toyota, Megan just got a
- 6:55Speaker 1: CBE radio.
- 6:57Speaker 5: Yeah I did, and I want to use it, but
- 6:59Speaker 5: I need an antenna, all right.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Yeah, if you have a CB antenna, one of the
- 7:03Speaker 1: big long one big whips, old whips.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you'll see me coming is an overpassing John.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Did you ever use the CB?
- 7:11Speaker 2: Oh a long time ago, I mean way back in
- 7:14Speaker 2: the way back machine. Yeah, yeah, uh l Roho because
- 7:17Speaker 2: I had red hair. My dad had red hair, and
- 7:20Speaker 2: so that was my That was l Roho. I like
- 7:23Speaker 2: that nine years old, il row Ho.
- 7:25Speaker 1: See I was nine in the seventies and we were
- 7:27Speaker 1: military brad so we'd move every year, and we had
- 7:29Speaker 1: a big Grand Torino station wagon that we would move
- 7:32Speaker 1: hoteled at the Green Machine, and that was my CB handles.
- 7:35Speaker 1: When we travel across country. Dad would pass the mic
- 7:38Speaker 1: to me, you know, the big long cord, the little
- 7:40Speaker 1: curly chord. Yeah, choke you brother, I'm just a kid
- 7:43Speaker 1: talking to truckers, you know, and sometimes the language wasn't
- 7:46Speaker 1: a kid appropriate, but it was a lot of fun.
- 7:49Speaker 3: That's what you need, Megan, is a c B name?
- 7:51Speaker 3: Do you have a get your handle?
- 7:53Speaker 11: No?
- 7:54Speaker 9: I don't have one.
- 7:55Speaker 5: I mean, I don't even have a radio fun radio name,
- 7:57Speaker 5: like you're Chumley.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fun, terrible in your good and you use
- 8:01Speaker 2: your I mean first and last name. So we need
- 8:04Speaker 2: something a little more spiffy for the CB world.
- 8:07Speaker 5: I know, I need something that's fun. Ali said, my
- 8:10Speaker 5: middle name is Caroline. He's like, you could be sweet Caroline.
- 8:12Speaker 5: I was like, pretty good, Ali, but is that lame?
- 8:18Speaker 5: We'll put sweet Caroline in the pole position. But if
- 8:21Speaker 5: somebody's got a better name for you, yes, yeah, and
- 8:24Speaker 5: then we'll kind of decide at the end of the day.
- 8:26Speaker 3: It's a good idea. It's the leader in the clubhouse right.
- 8:28Speaker 10: Now, said earlier. Parking lot beer and I want to
- 8:30Speaker 10: throw a can at you. I'm just going on your experiences,
- 8:34Speaker 10: that's all I'm doing. I use the bathroom in the
- 8:37Speaker 10: parking lot. Oh yeah, we need to fill.
- 8:39Speaker 2: You in on that.
- 8:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:41Speaker 5: I don't want people to then know, like I don't
- 8:43Speaker 5: want to hear them talking about me on the CBNE.
- 8:47Speaker 2: This is happening at the end of this month. But
- 8:49Speaker 2: it's a lot of fun that's going to do a
- 8:50Speaker 2: lot of good. It's the Big Show with Country ninety
- 8:52Speaker 2: nine one WQIK.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Yeah, let me paint a picture for you. You're sipping
- 8:56Speaker 1: an amazing craft beer, eating tacos.
- 8:59Speaker 3: From top everybody loves hoak Aloo.
- 9:01Speaker 1: And you're listening to live country music while changing a
- 9:05Speaker 1: child's life. It's called Hops That Help. It's the eleventh year.
- 9:09Speaker 1: It's Wednesday, July twenty ninth at Southern Swells Brewery. It's
- 9:12Speaker 1: right there on Beach Boulevard and Jacks Beach Justy's to
- 9:15Speaker 1: Penman and Beach Plaza there and it's going to be
- 9:18Speaker 1: a great night and we're raising money. One hundred percent
- 9:21Speaker 1: of the proceeds benefit the Tom Coughlin j Fund and
- 9:25Speaker 1: they support families, local families right here in Jacksonville battling
- 9:29Speaker 1: childhood cancer.
- 9:30Speaker 2: All right, you know, can you do that as a
- 9:32Speaker 2: family And it helps every aspect of the life of
- 9:34Speaker 2: the J Fund. They've been doing a lot of great
- 9:36Speaker 2: good for a long long time too, and this is
- 9:39Speaker 2: just a lot of fun. Jordan Fletcher is the singer
- 9:42Speaker 2: who's going to be there. He's written songs for Ella Langley,
- 9:46Speaker 2: for Megan Maroney, Vince Gil, they've written some songs together.
- 9:50Speaker 2: And Jordan is from here and he's going to be performing.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I think he's going to join us later this week. Yeah,
- 9:56Speaker 2: we're Friday to him here later this week. And the
- 9:58Speaker 2: guy's a great musician himself and a great singer.
- 10:01Speaker 1: So it's going to be nice to have him. You'll
- 10:03Speaker 1: be able to watch him at Hops for Help.
- 10:05Speaker 5: He's going to perform a lot, so talented, and I
- 10:08Speaker 5: just love that Jordan's from here and giving back to
- 10:11Speaker 5: a cause that directly affects our community and that we
- 10:14Speaker 5: get to be a part of it.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Seventy five dollars tickets each seventy five dollars ticket includes
- 10:19Speaker 2: two drinks, two meals, right, I mean, that's it's a
- 10:23Speaker 2: bark when you think.
- 10:24Speaker 3: About it, and they're not two drinks.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I drink the karate in the garage at the Southern
- 10:29Speaker 1: Swells Brewery. That's my favorite drink and that's their famous
- 10:32Speaker 1: one there now in the block. You know, if you
- 10:34Speaker 1: have to get into that entertainment destination, it's pretty impressive,
- 10:37Speaker 1: but you can find them there.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Great beer. You can only have to if you have three,
- 10:41Speaker 3: you're getting a cap.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Yeah, they're like eleven percent.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Are they really? They're so tasty? Thanks for the heads up.
- 10:46Speaker 3: It is really good.
- 10:47Speaker 4: I'll say that.
- 10:48Speaker 5: And I'm not typically a fancy, fancy beer kind of girl.
- 10:51Speaker 3: It is so good. Yeah, they really are that good.
- 10:53Speaker 1: So you get two of those two tacos from Tacolu
- 10:57Speaker 1: for two people and you purchase that that.
- 11:00Speaker 11: You I K.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Good morning, it's the Big Show. Yeah, we've got to
- 11:04Speaker 1: uh do the pop quiz. We're giving something awesome away today.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:07Speaker 5: Is this when we're doing our Awkwall Glow Bentley Jerk's Bentley?
- 11:12Speaker 3: How about that?
- 11:12Speaker 6: So if you want to go see him, you got
- 11:14Speaker 6: to play the pop quiz.
- 11:14Speaker 3: And is that simple.
- 11:15Speaker 2: We'll take callers nine and ten right now at nine
- 11:17Speaker 2: oh four, three, eight, eight thirty six ninety nine you
- 11:20Speaker 2: play the pop quiz. Winners going to Dirk's good Luck
- 11:23Speaker 2: from Country ninety nine one w QIK.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Listening on the free iHeartRadio app. I'm one wu QIK.
- 11:28Speaker 1: It's the Big Show and we found out this morning
- 11:31Speaker 1: Meghan has a CBE radio I mean, she still needs antana,
- 11:35Speaker 1: but we've got to come up with a cbe handle.
- 11:37Speaker 3: For her, and we just don't have anything. So we're
- 11:39Speaker 3: looking at you, Michael.
- 11:41Speaker 9: How about we make Meghan the mascotter Scott hater.
- 11:47Speaker 2: I like the idea. And guess who's coming in on
- 11:49Speaker 2: footy Tuesday? Chick fil A? I wonder, No, the Chick
- 11:54Speaker 2: fil A cows coming. Oh my gosh, I hope.
- 11:56Speaker 6: So, Michael, you've got a pin here.
- 11:59Speaker 3: I'm about listen. Listen.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Last night in that email, that group email came out,
- 12:03Speaker 2: I almost suggested it, but then you gave me a
- 12:05Speaker 2: ride home yesterday, so I did not.
- 12:07Speaker 5: I didn't even read that email. I would have been
- 12:09Speaker 5: completely so thrown off.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Oh did you not see what what Cheryl did?
- 12:14Speaker 4: No?
- 12:15Speaker 3: Okay, what did she do?
- 12:17Speaker 2: We'll have to tell you about it. It was Tuesday
- 12:19Speaker 2: rolls around at about seven fifty.
- 12:21Speaker 1: If you're unaware, Megan is afraid of Mascot's just throwing
- 12:24Speaker 1: that out.
- 12:24Speaker 3: And Michael does know that.
- 12:25Speaker 9: So mascot hater, if they show up, Megan will move
- 12:30Speaker 9: quickly away.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Yes she will.
- 12:31Speaker 6: Yeah, I will.
- 12:32Speaker 5: I'm gonna get in the truck, me and my cbe
- 12:34Speaker 5: radio are gone.
- 12:35Speaker 4: My fellows.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Her twenty will be different. Michael, thank you, We appreciate that. Okay,
- 12:43Speaker 2: mascot hater, mascot hater, what over here? We need some
- 12:47Speaker 2: more though, There's gotta be another name. I like mascot hater.
- 12:50Speaker 2: It's not bad, No, it's not bad. But in the
- 12:51Speaker 2: nine oh four, three, eight, eight thirty six ninety nine, cbe
- 12:54Speaker 2: handle for Megan. While you're pondering that idea, let's get
- 12:57Speaker 2: music city minute with Megan going on, see what's going
- 12:59Speaker 2: on World of Nashburg.
- 13:01Speaker 5: It is a good day to be a Luke Brian fan.
- 13:03Speaker 5: I will just put that out there. So Luke Brian
- 13:05Speaker 5: was putting on a show. He saw a fan dancing.
- 13:09Speaker 5: Everyone's always dancing at Luke Brian's show, so it's not
- 13:12Speaker 5: like it's not an abnormal thing. But it was someone
- 13:15Speaker 5: in particular that caught his eye. She was just going
- 13:18Speaker 5: crazy mode. Well he hooked her up with free tickets
- 13:21Speaker 5: for life. What yeah, he's now what the second person
- 13:25Speaker 5: to do this? Jelly Roll offered a fan in the
- 13:28Speaker 5: past free tickets for life.
- 13:29Speaker 2: So now Luke Brian's with Country ninety nine to one WQIK.
- 13:35Speaker 2: It's the big show, we go to Flagler County where
- 13:38Speaker 2: the man here is facing theft charges. Deputy said he
- 13:42Speaker 2: took a stolen credit card. Lady had left it into
- 13:44Speaker 2: a machine and he went ahead and took it started
- 13:47Speaker 2: making some purchases. But it didn't take too long for
- 13:51Speaker 2: them to find out he was making some fraudulent Amazon purchases.
- 13:55Speaker 2: He used the card to buy about seventy nine dollars
- 13:58Speaker 2: worth of items, including door hinges and axe body spray.
- 14:04Speaker 1: What I didn't know people still use X body spray.
- 14:07Speaker 1: That's hilarious. But you can see if you have a
- 14:10Speaker 1: stolen credit card, same day delivery. I mean, that's the
- 14:13Speaker 1: way to roll, except they have your address, you idiot
- 14:16Speaker 1: dot dom.
- 14:17Speaker 5: I am signing him up for Walmart Plus though that
- 14:19Speaker 5: adds up.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Excuse me.
- 14:23Speaker 2: We wish you the best of luck in the pop
- 14:25Speaker 2: quiz on this Tuesday, Tammy and Tommy on a Tuesday.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Alliteration is just this is great, incredible.
- 14:31Speaker 2: I love it. Let's start with you, Tammy and lake Asberry.
- 14:34Speaker 2: He's the lead singer of Rascal Flats. Gary leev Ox
- 14:39Speaker 2: is the name he goes by. How old is Gary
- 14:42Speaker 2: of Rascal Flats?
- 14:43Speaker 3: Now? Tammy Oh, forty nine, Tommy older and younger.
- 14:50Speaker 9: Older.
- 14:51Speaker 2: He is just a little bit fifty six years old.
- 14:53Speaker 2: It's a good guest, Tammy. But Tommy went in the
- 14:54Speaker 2: right direction.
- 14:55Speaker 3: It's all good. Tommy gets that point.
- 14:58Speaker 2: And Tommy, you get this question for what percentage of
- 15:01Speaker 2: people admit they've taken on debt to attend weddings and
