- 0:26Speaker 1: It is time to believe your worries outside and laugh with
- 0:31Speaker 1: us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with Trade
- 0:35Speaker 1: Trenholme and Raj Sharma. Today is Thursday, January thirtieth, twenty
- 0:43Speaker 1: twenty five. I think it's safe to say that in
- 0:51Speaker 1: most situations, hitting a high score is a hell of
- 0:56Speaker 1: an achievement. It's something to be proud of, right m M.
- 1:03Speaker 1: There's one situation where breaking the high score is not
- 1:13Speaker 1: trying to think of all the different words that are
- 1:15Speaker 1: coming to mind, but there is one situation where breaking
- 1:21Speaker 1: the top score is not something to be applauded, and
- 1:25Speaker 1: that is breathalyze your tests.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Well, it depends on your goal.
- 1:33Speaker 1: I guess it does depend on your goal. If your
- 1:36Speaker 1: goal is to be arrested and going to jail and
- 1:40Speaker 1: endanger the lives of countless others around you, then okay, sure.
- 1:46Speaker 1: But me breaking the high score on Cruising USA at
- 1:52Speaker 1: the Aladdin Arcade at the Mall when I was a
- 1:55Speaker 1: child man, that was a great feeling. But if you
- 1:59Speaker 1: break a breathalyzer because you're so drunk, that's not something
- 2:03Speaker 1: that should be applauded. But you will make the news
- 2:12Speaker 1: a drunk driver in Wisconsin was so hammered on Friday
- 2:19Speaker 1: he maxed out the breathalyzer, something I didn't even know
- 2:23Speaker 1: was possible.
- 2:26Speaker 2: What is the number that maxes out? I guess you're
- 2:29Speaker 2: might tell us.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I'm glad you asked I I'm going to tell you
- 2:36Speaker 1: because we've all been drunk, but I don't think I've
- 2:40Speaker 1: ever been. I don't think I've ever been break the
- 2:43Speaker 1: high score on the breathalyzer drunk. Fifty two year old
- 2:50Speaker 1: Randell via Real is a middle school gym teacher in Wakeshaw, Wisconsin.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Police got a call last Friday about a hit and
- 2:57Speaker 1: run crash around seven point thirty in the morning. Keep
- 3:02Speaker 1: that in mind. Everything I'm going to tell you about
- 3:04Speaker 1: this story happened in the morning. Turned out old Randall
- 3:09Speaker 1: had dropped his kid off at a different school, then
- 3:11Speaker 1: he drove off to go to his school where he
- 3:14Speaker 1: was a teacher. On his way to his job, he
- 3:17Speaker 1: rear ended someone and left the scene. He did tell
- 3:21Speaker 1: the person before he left the scene of the accident
- 3:24Speaker 1: that he had to go because he's a teacher and
- 3:27Speaker 1: he had to get to school. The person he hit
- 3:33Speaker 1: got a shot of his license plate and police found
- 3:36Speaker 1: his smashed up vehicle in the school parking lot. They
- 3:41Speaker 1: gave him not one, not two, not three, but four
- 3:48Speaker 1: field sobriety tests. Four field sobriety tests is what they
- 3:54Speaker 1: gave this man. He blew a point four, which is
- 4:03Speaker 1: also five times the legal limit. It might have been higher,
- 4:08Speaker 1: but that's where the breathalyzer max is out point four.
- 4:16Speaker 2: I thought, I believe I've read a breathalyzer's in the
- 4:21Speaker 2: point five.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I don't know if I've heard of a story where
- 4:25Speaker 1: there was one and a point five. I've heard of
- 4:28Speaker 1: other stories where blood alcohol content was over point four,
- 4:32Speaker 1: but I don't know, but I don't like, yeah, but
- 4:36Speaker 1: I don't know if that was on a breathalyzer or
- 4:38Speaker 1: from a blood draw. This particular breathalyzer maxes out at
- 4:43Speaker 1: point four, which, if you think about it, if you're
- 4:46Speaker 1: the manufacturer, do you really need a number any higher
- 4:50Speaker 1: than that? I mean, if they hit that, I mean
- 4:52Speaker 1: clearly they're above the legal limit. Anything higher than that
- 4:55Speaker 1: really is just you know, running up the score. In
- 5:03Speaker 1: court on Monday, the judge told him he's lucky to
- 5:08Speaker 1: be alive. He couldn't even believe someone could be that drunk.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Especially before eight a m. Now, let's go back over
- 5:16Speaker 1: the chain of events here things we know happened. This
- 5:21Speaker 1: teacher got in his car with his child, drove his
- 5:25Speaker 1: child to school, got the child there safely, left that
- 5:29Speaker 1: school to go to his teaching job. On the way
- 5:33Speaker 1: he hit somebody left that accident scene, telling the person
- 5:39Speaker 1: he hit sorry, I'm a teacher. I gotta go to work.
- 5:42Speaker 1: And then he goes to work. And then when he's
- 5:44Speaker 1: at work, I don't even know if he made it
- 5:47Speaker 1: into first period. He's a gym teacher. I've been, and
- 5:53Speaker 1: I remember the fun days in school when it was
- 5:57Speaker 1: substitute teacher day or our our regular teacher wasn't feeling well.
- 6:02Speaker 1: And what did they do? Trey put a movie on.
- 6:07Speaker 1: That's right, they wheeled in the TV. The holy grail
- 6:10Speaker 1: of school to gen X was when the door opened
- 6:16Speaker 1: and in came the TV on the cart and everyone rejoiced.
- 6:22Speaker 1: It's a beautiful thing. And I don't think there's an
- 6:25Speaker 1: adult equivalent that I can think of.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Now.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I know when. Now, I know when that TV came
- 6:31Speaker 1: rolling into school. When then when that TV came rolling
- 6:34Speaker 1: into the classroom, that teacher hungover?
- 6:39Speaker 2: Well, it also it makes you guess if he's a
- 6:43Speaker 2: gym teacher, that's a dodgeball day.
- 6:49Speaker 1: It's a dodgeball day, and you probably just keep drinking
- 6:52Speaker 1: and just enjoy the show.
- 6:54Speaker 2: It makes me questioned a lot of things in my childhood.
- 6:58Speaker 1: It really does, doesn't it. You go back, I can
- 7:00Speaker 1: start thinking about all the different things from school and
- 7:03Speaker 1: recess gym class? Is that the reason why the gym
- 7:07Speaker 1: teachers thought it was so funny to make you climb
- 7:09Speaker 1: that rope? And it wasn't just a normal rope, right,
- 7:12Speaker 1: It was the rope that went how high all the
- 7:14Speaker 1: way to the ceiling of a gymnasium that's like forty
- 7:18Speaker 1: to fifty feet that is hairlously dangerous, and the only
- 7:22Speaker 1: thing protecting you if you fell was either a other
- 7:26Speaker 1: kids or b a gymnastics mat that's about, I don't know,
- 7:31Speaker 1: two inches thick and at the center of it was concrete.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Yeah, but also it makes you wonder. It's like, because
- 7:38Speaker 2: your Fridays and they always what's the end of the week?
- 7:41Speaker 2: Were Friday's the fun day because all the teachers had
- 7:43Speaker 2: gone out on Thursday night?
- 7:46Speaker 1: Yeah, because it was ladies night and most teachers that
- 7:50Speaker 1: we grew up with were female.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Or or the gym coaches were single males. Absolutely, and
- 7:56Speaker 2: they're tight polyestra shorts.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I'm to think of it. I think you're right, Trey.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Some of the games that we played in gym and
- 8:03Speaker 1: in recess don't sound like games that a sober person
- 8:07Speaker 1: would come up with, dodgeball being one of them. But
- 8:10Speaker 1: there was one game that actually I think is even
- 8:13Speaker 1: more sadistic than dodgeball, and that's wallball. Wallball is the
- 8:18Speaker 1: one where it's a it's basically a firing squad with
- 8:21Speaker 1: a red playground ball. That's definitely a game that a
- 8:25Speaker 1: inebraated person came up with. Let's put a bunch of
- 8:28Speaker 1: kids up against a wall and have them throw red
- 8:30Speaker 1: playground balls at each other. Bonus points that they get
- 8:32Speaker 1: hit in the face.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I don't think I ever played wall ball. Was that
- 8:37Speaker 2: something that they did in the Orphanage?
- 8:41Speaker 1: I guess that was part of the orphans game Here,
- 8:45Speaker 1: I was thinking it was.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Normalouse on air, Duncow.
- 9:01Speaker 1: And recess that Foster Care was way different. Let's get
- 9:08Speaker 1: Daniel Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration into the
- 9:12Speaker 1: Treehouse for your free roof inspection to make sure your
- 9:15Speaker 1: home and all its contents are safe. Eight three three
- 9:18Speaker 1: Cook DFW website, cookdfw dot com. I didn't realize this, Daniel,
- 9:23Speaker 1: But there's all sorts of options now for roof colors.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Do you guys have like a beautiful roof color brochure
- 9:31Speaker 1: that you show people all the options that are out
- 9:33Speaker 1: there now?
- 9:35Speaker 4: Dan, There literally are dozens upon dozens of roof color options,
- 9:40Speaker 4: and here in our area of town sometimes there are
- 9:45Speaker 4: restricted based on your homeowner association. Some of them are
- 9:48Speaker 4: have four or five colors you have to choose from,
- 9:50Speaker 4: but a lot of our clients are out in areas
- 9:52Speaker 4: that don't have to have that kind.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Of restrictions and.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Unique unique homes.
- 9:59Speaker 4: A color called midnight plum, a color called murlow, a
- 10:03Speaker 4: color called bourbon, and all of these have accents of
- 10:06Speaker 4: different color arrangements that accent your home. So if you
- 10:10Speaker 4: have a brick home that's darker, you can offset that
- 10:12Speaker 4: and make a contrast with your roof shingles. If you
- 10:15Speaker 4: have a stucco home, a light color home, you can
- 10:19Speaker 4: have a darker colored shingles to offset that and accent
- 10:22Speaker 4: some of those colors that you may have around your
- 10:24Speaker 4: window trim, your door trim. So it truly is a
- 10:27Speaker 4: way of making a full project of redoing your home,
- 10:32Speaker 4: remodeling your exterior. A lot of people paint their home,
- 10:35Speaker 4: but now you can literally pick a color that compliments
- 10:39Speaker 4: your paint colors and will do such a traumatic difference
- 10:42Speaker 4: on your home.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's great to have options with everything.
- 10:46Speaker 1: And now you've got, as you heard from Daniel, just
- 10:49Speaker 1: now dozens upon dozens of color options for that roof.
- 10:53Speaker 1: No more stuck with just one option. Now you got lots.
- 10:56Speaker 1: So called Daniel at COOKDFB Roofing and Restoration to find
- 10:59Speaker 1: out what good on your house eight three three cook DFW.
- 11:02Speaker 1: That's eight three three cook DFW and again that website
- 11:05Speaker 1: cookdfw dot com.

- 11:42Speaker 1: H Dana Mally here along with Trey Trendholm and Raj
- 11:45Speaker 1: Sharma on Thursday, January thirtieth, twenty twenty five, coming off
- 11:50Speaker 1: of the teacher in Wisconsin that was recently arrested for
- 11:55Speaker 1: maxing out of breathalyzer at point four. Didn't even know
- 12:00Speaker 1: that you could do that, but I guess it makes
- 12:02Speaker 1: sense because if you're any higher than that, there's no
- 12:05Speaker 1: reason for the machine to go higher. All it really
- 12:07Speaker 1: needs to know is that you're over the legal limit.
- 12:11Speaker 1: The judge not only told told the man that you
- 12:17Speaker 1: shouldn't be alive, but basically told him that lesser people
- 12:21Speaker 1: would be dead. That's the kind of number you hit
- 12:24Speaker 1: when you are, in fact an alcoholic. Like this is
- 12:29Speaker 1: a guy who stayed, who not only did not die
- 12:32Speaker 1: while maxing out a breathalyzer, but he managed to take
- 12:37Speaker 1: his kid to school ironically got him there in one piece.
- 12:41Speaker 1: After he dropped the kid off at school, he runs
- 12:43Speaker 1: into somebody in a car accident, leaves a scene, and
- 12:47Speaker 1: then manages to get himself to school to teach that day.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Yeah. That's the amazing thing is that he maintained some
- 12:54Speaker 2: semblance of functionality. Yeah.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I think a lot of that is muscle memory. I
- 12:58Speaker 1: really do. Like, I don't think you're doing your taxes.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Yeah, but most humans would be night night at a
- 13:09Speaker 2: certain point. Yeah.
- 13:10Speaker 1: I think he was close though, because when they administered
- 13:13Speaker 1: the four different field sobriety tests at the school gymnasium,
- 13:18Speaker 1: which a bet was fun. Hopefully they didn't have the
- 13:19Speaker 1: students watching. Prosecutors say he failed all four of them,
- 13:23Speaker 1: including counting and walking, which if you gets out the breathalyzer,
- 13:30Speaker 1: there's really no surprise there.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:35Speaker 1: All right, speaking of being absolutely drunk, let's talk about
- 13:41Speaker 1: the Dallas Cowboys, shall we. So the other day the
- 13:43Speaker 1: Dallas Cowboys.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Announced what, hang on a second, we're talking We've got cowboys.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Yeah, we're gonna talk a little bit about our team,
- 13:50Speaker 1: the Cowboys.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Okay, there we go.
- 13:53Speaker 1: You gotta make sure that on our cameras you change
- 13:56Speaker 1: your background too. Dumpster fire, that's right, that's the that's Tracey, A.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Big flaming dumpster fire. Not just you know, you know,
- 14:07Speaker 2: a single bag in the dumpster. No, no, fully engulfed,
- 14:10Speaker 2: blazed like.
- 14:11Speaker 1: A southern California dumpster.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Yes, gotcha.
- 14:14Speaker 1: So that is how you could describe the Dallas Cowboys franchise,
- 14:19Speaker 1: not from a business side, because they're making tons of money,
- 14:22Speaker 1: but from an actual product side, which is the football
- 14:27Speaker 1: they are not good and have not been for most
- 14:31Speaker 1: of the years of the last thirty years.
- 14:35Speaker 2: And let's be honest of and especially in the last year,
- 14:42Speaker 2: have tied up hundreds of millions of dollars in two
- 14:46Speaker 2: players that were both, even when healthy, below average and
- 14:52Speaker 2: regressed as a franchise dramatically.
- 14:55Speaker 1: The two players you're talking about are Dak Prescott and
- 14:58Speaker 1: Ceedee Lamb.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Yes, interesting, and didn't sign sign those two, didn't sign
- 15:04Speaker 2: probably the most valuable person on the team and left
- 15:07Speaker 2: that somewhat chance now in Michael Parsons gotcha.
- 15:13Speaker 1: So it'll be an interesting offseason. And the off season
- 15:17Speaker 1: hasn't even started yet because he kind of played the
- 15:18Speaker 1: Super Bowl first. But the Cowboys did part ways with
- 15:21Speaker 1: head coach Mike McCarthy and they decided, after a very
- 15:26Speaker 1: shallow search of a head coach replacement, to hire from
- 15:30Speaker 1: within their offensive coordinator, Brian Schottenheimer.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Martin he's never called a play. He's never called a
- 15:38Speaker 2: play in his life.
- 15:40Speaker 1: You know what, though, here's the thing. To be a
- 15:42Speaker 1: head coach. You don't have to call the plays, you
- 15:44Speaker 1: just you just got to be the guy that's in
- 15:45Speaker 1: charge of stuff, or in this case, the guy that's
- 15:50Speaker 1: kind of there to be puppeteered by Jerry. So anyway,
- 15:56Speaker 1: the Cowboys announced Brian Schottenheimer as the new head coach
- 15:58Speaker 1: of the Cowboys, and pretty much all of Cowboys Nation
- 16:03Speaker 1: was displeased, and so they got to answer questions about
- 16:06Speaker 1: that from the media, to which Jerry Jones had one
- 16:10Speaker 1: of his more interesting and colorful replies to fans and
- 16:15Speaker 1: media questioning the hiring of Brian Schottenheimer as the new
- 16:19Speaker 1: head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.
- 16:22Speaker 6: There's a very low percentage of this that is smiles
- 16:27Speaker 6: and glory holes, very low percentage.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I think it's fair that before Jerry and Steven start
- 16:41Speaker 1: talking to the media, they should blow into a breathalyzer.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Nah nah like here. And this is where the Cowboys
- 16:51Speaker 2: franchise just discussed me even more is because after the
- 16:55Speaker 2: first time Jerry used the glory whole thing. Okay, I
- 16:57Speaker 2: get it, that's an old man term first time, and
- 17:00Speaker 2: you caught a bunch of flack. This time. He's doing
- 17:02Speaker 2: it on purpose. That and that is the whole problem
- 17:05Speaker 2: with Jerry. This is all about pr This has nothing
- 17:07Speaker 2: to do with with the product on the fields. All
- 17:10Speaker 2: he wants the publicity.
- 17:12Speaker 1: I'm starting to believe that the Jones family, and especially
- 17:17Speaker 1: Jerry Jones, is the biggest troll of Cowboys fans that
- 17:22Speaker 1: there is, and that includes the Eagles fan base.
- 17:28Speaker 2: I believe, I.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Believe Jerry Jones is a bigger troll to Cowboys fans
- 17:31Speaker 1: than Eagles fans are.
- 17:32Speaker 2: And that's saying something. It's like the it's it is.
- 17:42Speaker 2: It is like the ultimate abusive relationship. He knows, he
- 17:47Speaker 2: knows the fans will come back, and so he will, Yeah,
- 17:52Speaker 2: buy a hat, Yeah, oh you fell down again?
- 17:56Speaker 1: Come to the games party pad? Is there only forty
- 18:01Speaker 1: nine dollars? This year is our year?
- 18:06Speaker 2: Don't make me do it again.
- 18:08Speaker 1: That's not the actual score of the game. In our minds,
- 18:13Speaker 1: the Cowboys won. And I say that because if this
- 18:18Speaker 1: sounds like gaslighting, it is. And here's Stephen Jones doing.
- 18:23Speaker 1: If you've heard the term gaslight and you're not really
- 18:26Speaker 1: sure what it is, I'm going to give you a
- 18:29Speaker 1: very good example of it in the wild from Stephen
- 18:32Speaker 1: Jones of the Dallas Cowboys. This is at a press conference.
- 18:40Speaker 1: This is at the press conference when they were introducing
- 18:42Speaker 1: Brian Schottenheimer as the new head coach of the Dallas Cowboys,
- 18:46Speaker 1: and Stephen Jones was asked about the drought or the
- 18:50Speaker 1: lack of postseason success that the Cowboys have had in
- 18:56Speaker 1: the last thirty years. Probably helps if I unmute the audio. There,
- 19:02Speaker 1: hang on, here we go.
- 19:03Speaker 7: Obviously, we're also evaluating where it didn't go right, you know,
- 19:07Speaker 7: in terms of you know, this drought that people say
- 19:11Speaker 7: we're in, in terms of a championship game or a
- 19:13Speaker 7: Super Bowl.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna play that again just for effect, But when
- 19:16Speaker 1: he says drought is when he uses the fingers to
- 19:19Speaker 1: do the air quotes.
- 19:22Speaker 7: Obviously, we're also evaluating where it didn't go right, you know,
- 19:25Speaker 7: in terms of you know, this drought that people.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Say we're in in terms of a championship game or
- 19:31Speaker 1: a super Bowl. Look, I've seen people misuse air quotes
- 19:35Speaker 1: a lot because they don't know exactly how to do
- 19:38Speaker 1: it properly. And in this case, uh, Stephen Jones either
- 19:43Speaker 1: doesn't know how to do it properly or he is
- 19:46Speaker 1: outright trying to gaslight Cowboys fans, which I think is
- 19:49Speaker 1: the case because Jerry's also said it that, hey, yeah,
- 19:52Speaker 1: we haven't won a Super Bowl, we have not been
- 19:55Speaker 1: to a title game in you know, twenty eight years,
- 19:58Speaker 1: but we've we've we've won a lot the games, so
- 20:01Speaker 1: we've been close.
- 20:03Speaker 2: The the rest, I'm sorry, the Commanders have been the
- 20:11Speaker 2: biggest even they for twenty five years the Cowboys had
- 20:16Speaker 2: safe Harvard because the Commanders were always a bigger dumpster fire.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Daniel Snyder was always a worse a far worse owner
- 20:24Speaker 2: and seemingly far worse human being. One year after the
- 20:31Speaker 2: you know, and their second season under new ownership, with
- 20:37Speaker 2: the Cowboys old defensive coordinator and some some first round picks,
- 20:43Speaker 2: they made it to the NFC Championship, a place the
- 20:46Speaker 2: Cowboys have not gone since what ninety six?
- 20:49Speaker 1: Mm hmm, yeah, one year turnaround, you know.
- 20:54Speaker 2: That's and they say that that the Schottenheimer pick was
- 20:59Speaker 2: Steven and Jerry Junior's pick not not now, And I
- 21:03Speaker 2: don't know if that's them taking heat for for for
- 21:07Speaker 2: Jerry or if because at one point they said Stephen
- 21:13Speaker 2: was was it was the voice of reason in that
- 21:15Speaker 2: in that organization, that he understood the salary cap everything else.
- 21:19Speaker 2: But now has he has has Jerry if you yeah,
- 21:25Speaker 2: it is is Jerry Emperor Palpatine and he's just gonna
- 21:29Speaker 2: and now he's just drawn people to the dark side.
- 21:32Speaker 1: He has absolutely sucked Stephen Jones over to the dark side.
- 21:36Speaker 1: If and you're right trail. At some point there was
- 21:38Speaker 1: hope among Cowboys Nation that Stephen Jones would bring uh,
- 21:43Speaker 1: some new leadership, some common sense, some balance to the force,
- 21:47Speaker 1: some balance to the force. And instead they flipped him
- 21:51Speaker 1: like Anakin. And now we've got now we've got you know,
- 21:55Speaker 1: Emperor and Vader.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Yeah if, no hope, none, not even not even little
- 22:05Speaker 2: little baby Yoda. There's just it's it's and you know,
- 22:12Speaker 2: here's the problem is. And this was proven in the
- 22:14Speaker 2: last seveon, even with Cooper Rush at the Helm and
- 22:17Speaker 2: and when the Cowboys won two games in a row,
- 22:20Speaker 2: people start buying tickets again that the sheep just keep
- 22:23Speaker 2: coming back, like.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Right back to the slaughter.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Go Eagles. Mm hmm.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I'm not going that far. I'm I'm all in on
- 22:35Speaker 1: the Kansas City Swifties.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Go hey, you know what, either way, because the
- 22:42Speaker 2: former team that used to that, that used to be
- 22:44Speaker 2: in Dallas, now Yo has a superior product. Go Commandos,
- 22:52Speaker 2: Go Eagles, go Chiefs, go go anything.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Just anything but the Cowboys, not the Jaguars. I mean,
- 23:01Speaker 1: come on, but well, let I don't think we fit
- 23:03Speaker 1: that rockbottom just yet.

- 24:04Speaker 1: Dan and Trey along with you inside the Treehouse Todate
- 24:07Speaker 1: January thirtieth, twenty twenty five. Tray, do you think Texas
- 24:12Speaker 1: is a good state or a bad state when it
- 24:15Speaker 1: comes to being single? I'm asking you because you live
- 24:18Speaker 1: in Texas and you're single. Is Texas at good bad
- 24:25Speaker 1: state to be single?
- 24:28Speaker 2: I'd say overall, it's probably a good state to be single.
- 24:31Speaker 1: All right, Well, congratulations on the list of worst states
- 24:37Speaker 1: for singles. In a recent study, Texas did not make
- 24:40Speaker 1: the list, so you know, yeah, yes, yay. So which
- 24:47Speaker 1: states did make the list of worst states to be single.
- 24:51Speaker 1: I'm glad you asked. Recent study found Florida is actually
- 24:54Speaker 1: the top state for singles. Okay, but the top states,
- 24:59Speaker 1: I'm sorry. The worst states to be single are West Virginia.
- 25:06Speaker 1: They say in West Virginia, the average marriage stretches an
- 25:09Speaker 1: impressive twenty two point six years. But if you're single,
- 25:11Speaker 1: don't expect it to be easy. One of the oldest
- 25:14Speaker 1: populations in the country and limited opportunities for younger folks.
- 25:18Speaker 1: It's slim pickens in the mountain state. Following what Virginia,
- 25:22Speaker 1: what is it? Trae cousins, I think you're going to
- 25:27Speaker 1: notice a theme among the worst states to be single.
- 25:31Speaker 1: To be single in the United States, Number two, North Dakota.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Just lack of population. No one wants to live.
- 25:41Speaker 1: There, Arkansas cousins, Alaska, no one wants to live there,
- 25:50Speaker 1: lack of options, Kentucky cousins, Wyoming.
- 26:01Speaker 2: People want to live there. But yeah, sparsely populated.
- 26:09Speaker 1: South Dakota.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Just a hair better than North Dakota.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Also lack of population. Hawaii.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that one is sort of the curveball.
- 26:28Speaker 1: You would think single in Hawaii would be decent.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Actually, it's funny because, uh, I have never been to Hawaii,
- 26:36Speaker 2: but everyone, especially any single people i've that I know
- 26:40Speaker 2: that I've ever gone there, said it sucks because Hawaii
- 26:44Speaker 2: is very expensive to live there, and so it's it's
- 26:46Speaker 2: almost all married people. So it's it's a lack of
- 26:49Speaker 2: options deal.
- 26:50Speaker 1: It's so Hawaii is also lack of options like Alaska,
- 26:53Speaker 1: both Dakota's okay. New Mexico is another horrible state to
- 26:59Speaker 1: be single the.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Lack of options.
- 27:06Speaker 1: According to some studies, New Mexico has the highest number
- 27:10Speaker 1: of single adults, but it ranks near the bottom for
- 27:13Speaker 1: online dating opportunities, which begs the question why aren't the
- 27:17Speaker 1: single people dating? Apparently they have bigger problems to worry about.
- 27:20Speaker 1: The third lowest media and household income, the highest crime rate,
- 27:24Speaker 1: Safety and stability come first, So low income, high crime rate.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Add that to the challenge of spotty internet access, it's
- 27:32Speaker 1: one of the worst states for connectivity. So and considering
- 27:38Speaker 1: how finding a new person to date, the most popular
- 27:40Speaker 1: way you do that now is through online situations. That
- 27:43Speaker 1: makes New Mexico a pain in the ass. Another state
- 27:48Speaker 1: that makes the worst states to be single in South Carolina, say.
- 27:54Speaker 2: It, Trey, I mean the Cousins show that that actually
- 27:59Speaker 2: surprises me because you've got beach.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 28:08Speaker 2: I guess there's no really major urban and Charleston's wonderful.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Dating opportunities are slim there. Apparently it's a few single adults,
- 28:20Speaker 1: limited online dating options, and you throw in also a
- 28:23Speaker 1: high crime rate. Dating feels like dodging creeps instead of
- 28:27Speaker 1: Cupid's arrows. According to Yahoo. Also another state on the
- 28:30Speaker 1: worst states to be single in Mississippi, cousins in Mississippi.
- 28:41Speaker 1: The state's not the only thing that's burned. Also Kansas.
- 28:50Speaker 1: So have you noticed the vast majority of the states
- 28:53Speaker 1: where it sucks to be single?
- 28:55Speaker 3: Southern states?
- 28:59Speaker 2: Yeah, southern or cold as bleep.
- 29:05Speaker 1: You would think in colder environments that that might actually
- 29:08Speaker 1: be a good recipe for romance. You need to get
- 29:10Speaker 1: together for some body heat kind of a thing, but
- 29:12Speaker 1: apparently not.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Uh yeah, extremely rural uh Southern, which we really don't
- 29:21Speaker 2: think about it much today, but there are still lots
- 29:23Speaker 2: of places that have spotty, if none no internet access.
- 29:26Speaker 1: So and if that's the way to find love these days,
- 29:29Speaker 1: it makes sense that we saw the story that we
- 29:33Speaker 1: did last week where the the man thought his best
- 29:36Speaker 1: chance at love was with the nostril of a horse.
- 29:42Speaker 1: It's not that he's sick, it's just a lack of option.

- 30:27Speaker 1: Dan and Trey with you inside the Treehouse Show today
- 30:31Speaker 1: January Thursday, January thirty A, twenty twenty five. There we go.
- 30:35Speaker 1: All I gotta do is just you know, remember the day.
- 30:37Speaker 1: That's all I gotta do. It really should be, you know,
- 30:39Speaker 1: something small, but it turns out it could be difficult.
- 30:42Speaker 1: All right, Trey, have you ever tried the carnivore diet?
- 30:48Speaker 2: What's what's the difference between carnivore diet like Atkins diet.
- 30:53Speaker 1: I don't know, Okay, I think I think they're extremely similar.
- 30:58Speaker 1: My understanding of the carnivore diet is very much like Atkins,
- 31:02Speaker 1: where it's all animal based things that you're eating like
- 31:07Speaker 1: it's just high protein, no carbs, all that kind of stuff.
- 31:10Speaker 1: And Atkins diet is high protein, high fat using and
- 31:16Speaker 1: no carbohydrates, therefore using your stored fat as energy to
- 31:21Speaker 1: you know, lose weight. And the carnivore diet is supposed
- 31:24Speaker 1: to be similar.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Go ahead. I tried Atkins back in the show days
- 31:33Speaker 2: when Russ got on it, and at one point most
- 31:37Speaker 2: you know, other people on the show lost a bunch
- 31:42Speaker 2: of weight. I tried it a little bit. I got
- 31:45Speaker 2: really tired of it really quick. And the other problem
- 31:48Speaker 2: with any of those is a lot of times the
- 31:52Speaker 2: many people get off of them, they blow up like
- 31:53Speaker 2: a balloon because then your body is just it gets
- 31:56Speaker 2: carbs and it stores them. Now, in general, I try
- 31:59Speaker 2: to eat a low carb diet. You know, meat and
- 32:06Speaker 2: a vegetable is generally my dinner every night.
- 32:10Speaker 1: But right, well, the carnivor diet kind of depending on
- 32:14Speaker 1: how you do it it. Some people take people take
- 32:18Speaker 1: things to extremes. And one guy did that with a
- 32:21Speaker 1: carnivore diet. He was in his mid forties and his
- 32:25Speaker 1: diet consisted of meat, fat, and dairy only, and he
- 32:30Speaker 1: did this for quite a while. The problem is he
- 32:35Speaker 1: did it too much, because he showed up at a Tampa,
- 32:37Speaker 1: Florida hospital with ooze emanating from yellowish nodes on the
- 32:41Speaker 1: palms of his hands, elbows, and the soles of his feet.
- 32:46Speaker 1: The man told doctors he'd adopted a carnivore diet eight
- 32:49Speaker 1: months ago, explaining that his daily intake was made up
- 32:52Speaker 1: of entire sticks of butter, six to nine pounds of cheese,
- 32:56Speaker 1: and hamburger patties. The carnivore diet, which involves consuming only
- 33:04Speaker 1: animal bride products such as meat, eggs, and dairy, it's
- 33:06Speaker 1: gained popularity in fitness circles. Devotees claim that pure protein,
- 33:10Speaker 1: no vegetable lifestyle has helped them shed weight and improve
- 33:14Speaker 1: their overall health. This guy, though, took it to an
- 33:17Speaker 1: extreme where he was eating and I can't believe this
- 33:21Speaker 1: is real, entire sticks of butter, six to nine pounds
- 33:24Speaker 1: of cheese, and hamburger patties daily.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:31Speaker 1: He claimed he lost weight and saw improvements in his
- 33:33Speaker 1: energy levels and cognitive function. But his skin, that's a
- 33:36Speaker 1: totally different story. The ooze had been affecting him for
- 33:40Speaker 1: nearly a month before he sought treatment. Guys, look, don't
- 33:46Speaker 1: hold out going to the doctor. If something is drastically
- 33:49Speaker 1: different and something is happening to you that is not normal.
- 33:52Speaker 1: If you're oozing something, go to the doctor.
- 33:57Speaker 2: I think that right there, you can isolate that and
- 33:59Speaker 2: just go. If you are oozing, seek medical attention.
- 34:04Speaker 1: M hm.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Regardless of the circumstances. The human body generally does not use.
- 34:12Speaker 1: No unless something's wrong.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Yes.
- 34:15Speaker 6: Uh.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Doctors revealed that the butter man's total cholesterol Hang on, Trey,
- 34:22Speaker 1: do you know what the normal healthy cholesterol level is?
- 34:26Speaker 2: I want to say they keep revising it, but I
- 34:28Speaker 2: want to say this point in time, it's like one
- 34:30Speaker 2: fifty is the the number.
- 34:33Speaker 1: That according to this a healthy cholesterol level is two
- 34:37Speaker 1: hundred milligrams per de leader whatever mg slash deal all right,
- 34:44Speaker 1: high is two forty. This man's total cholesterol exceeded one thousand.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Jeez, what.
- 34:59Speaker 1: That is five times over what's considered healthy, four times
- 35:05Speaker 1: higher than what's considered high. I'm gonna say this again.
- 35:11Speaker 1: If you are oozing something, god to the doctor. And
- 35:21Speaker 1: you know the fine print on health and nutrition things
- 35:24Speaker 1: when it says do things in moderation, this is what
- 35:27Speaker 1: they're talking about. You can have a high protein diet
- 35:29Speaker 1: where you eat neat cheese, eggs and dairy and such,
- 35:32Speaker 1: but not six to nine pounds of cheese per day,
- 35:35Speaker 1: not entire sticks of butter. No, I'm trying to think,
- 35:39Speaker 1: I mean, unless you want to become featured at the
- 35:42Speaker 1: State Fair.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Like I recently. I mean, over the last year, I
- 35:47Speaker 2: started using butter more. I had tried to avoid it,
- 35:50Speaker 2: but then you started reading some of the things its
- 35:52Speaker 2: like butter. Probably maybe I don't want to give out
- 35:56Speaker 2: medical advice, but butter seems to have gotten a bad
- 35:58Speaker 2: rap yep in moderation. But I probably you so a
- 36:03Speaker 2: thing of you know, buy a thing of the butter.
- 36:05Speaker 2: That's four sticks. I probably buy a thing of butter
- 36:09Speaker 2: every four to six weeks.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Okay, So you're so you're not oozing.
- 36:15Speaker 2: I know I'm not not using then you're probably okay,
- 36:19Speaker 2: I think.
- 36:19Speaker 1: So.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Yeah, And what are you gonna do?
- 36:21Speaker 1: Tree?
- 36:21Speaker 2: If you start oozing, I'm going to seek medical attention.
- 36:24Speaker 1: That's a good idea. Not all of our ideas are stupid.
- 36:29Speaker 2: In here, you're in there.

- 37:15Speaker 1: is Thursday January thirty, twenty twenty five. Let's celebrate with
- 37:22Speaker 1: some birthdays, shall we. We'll start out today with Wilmer Valderama.
- 37:28Speaker 1: He is forty five today. Trey, you and I know
- 37:31Speaker 1: him best as Fez on that seventies show, probably, but
- 37:36Speaker 1: his career has had a resurgence as Nick Torres on
- 37:41Speaker 1: n CIS. Yes, Trey, do you watch any of the
- 37:47Speaker 1: NCIS shows or like the Chicago cop shows or any
- 37:50Speaker 1: of that stuff?
- 37:51Speaker 2: So I'm for a while watched NCIS when Mark Harmon
- 37:57Speaker 2: was on there and what's the guy's name, Michael Weatherley?
- 38:04Speaker 2: I think it was the guy's name, and some of
- 38:07Speaker 2: that original cast. But and it's not that it's it's
- 38:12Speaker 2: bad now, it's a good show. But after a while
- 38:15Speaker 2: I just moved on to other things. Uh, for a while,
- 38:18Speaker 2: I watched n c I s l A with ll
- 38:22Speaker 2: cool J, and again just kind of moved on to
- 38:26Speaker 2: other things. Have not gotten into any of the Chicago shows.
- 38:30Speaker 2: I've seen a couple. They're they're good, they're they're good shows,
- 38:33Speaker 2: but I don't I don't have that much viewing time.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Uh, those shows are always on TV. When I'm at
- 38:42Speaker 1: the gym. It's like one of the TV's is usually
- 38:44Speaker 1: on ESPN, and there's another TV that's usually on I
- 38:48Speaker 1: think it's USA or TBS, So it's one of those
- 38:50Speaker 1: rerun shows of cop things, whether it's Lawn Order SVU, which,
- 38:55Speaker 1: let me tell you, that's fun to look up when
- 38:56Speaker 1: you're on the elliptical and look up at the TV
- 38:58Speaker 1: and they're talking about incest on television on SVU. That's
- 39:02Speaker 1: great programming. But I'll occasionally look up and I'll see
- 39:05Speaker 1: Wilmer Valdorama on there because n cis rerun is on.
- 39:08Speaker 1: It's happy birthday to him. He is forty five today.
- 39:12Speaker 1: I'm sure he'll celebrate by introducing a new Hollywood starlet
- 39:15Speaker 1: to his bedroom.
- 39:16Speaker 2: I was about to say, he's a that's we've known
- 39:18Speaker 2: as quite the ladies man too.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean Lindsay, I mean they were they were
- 39:22Speaker 1: like all a lot of the young starlets from the
- 39:25Speaker 1: like the mid two thousands, Their their their paths to
- 39:29Speaker 1: stardom went through his bedroom.
- 39:30Speaker 2: It seemed well and willingly, unlike one of his other
- 39:34Speaker 2: co stars on that seventies show.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, it's important to get consent. Yes, man, We're
- 39:40Speaker 1: just full of great advice today, aren't we.
- 39:42Speaker 2: We are.
- 39:42Speaker 1: If you're oozing, go to the doctor and always get consent.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Other birthdays today, Christian Bale turns fifty one today. Christian
- 39:52Speaker 1: Bale is a phenomenal actor. And I can say this
- 39:55Speaker 1: with the utmost confidence. He is someone that I have
- 39:58Speaker 1: seen from for my ent higher life as an actor.
- 40:03Speaker 1: I'm not as old as he is, but I still
- 40:04Speaker 1: remember him as the kid in Empire of the Sun
- 40:08Speaker 1: way back in the early eighties. He was the kid
- 40:12Speaker 1: an Empire of the Sun, and then he became back.
- 40:15Speaker 3: I know that.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Yeah, in this head tray, in this head of mine
- 40:20Speaker 1: is tons of useless information.
- 40:26Speaker 2: I'm not gonna argue with you on that one.
- 40:28Speaker 1: You can't. It's kind of a retort. It's there's no
- 40:30Speaker 1: way to come back from that statement.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Have we ever discussed this? Who's your favorite Batman?
- 40:40Speaker 1: That's tough because I'm usually and it depends person. When
- 40:45Speaker 1: it comes to most hard questions, I would probably say
- 40:57Speaker 1: I would probably say Christian Bale encompasses some of the
- 41:00Speaker 1: things I like about other guys that played Batman, Like
- 41:04Speaker 1: I really like Michael Keaton as Batman, but the action
- 41:09Speaker 1: of it was not as good as the more updated
- 41:13Speaker 1: Batman franchises, even though he didn't get to do it much.
- 41:17Speaker 1: Ben Affleck' Batman and the action sequences was awesome, like
- 41:22Speaker 1: when he face plants that dude when he's saving Superman's mama.
- 41:26Speaker 1: That's a phenomenal fight scene. And there wasn't enough of
- 41:29Speaker 1: that with him with the DC stuff that he did
- 41:32Speaker 1: with Snyder. So I would actually say Christian Bale because
- 41:35Speaker 1: he's the balance, He's the greatness of all the other
- 41:38Speaker 1: guys that played Batman.
- 41:41Speaker 2: It's funny, and Christian Bale is my number two. But
- 41:47Speaker 2: something about with age and going back, Michael Keaton is
- 41:50Speaker 2: my favorite Batman now wow, because it those movies at
- 41:55Speaker 2: the time we were advanced like and but he also
- 42:03Speaker 2: it's a little more lighthearted than the darkness of the
- 42:06Speaker 2: Christian Bale character.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Despite the fact that those first two Batman movies that
- 42:11Speaker 1: Michael Keaton did were themselves very dark and everything.
- 42:15Speaker 2: But he had, you know, a little bit of a sarcasm,
- 42:18Speaker 2: little bit of levity to it that you know, Christian
- 42:23Speaker 2: Bale is always more serious.
- 42:25Speaker 1: It would have been fun if you could have taken
- 42:28Speaker 1: Michael Keaton's Batman and paired it with some of his
- 42:31Speaker 1: other well known characters that he's played in other movies.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Like I would like to see Michael Keaton's Batman meshed
- 42:37Speaker 1: up with his character in Multiplicity. Oh yeah, there's like
- 42:44Speaker 1: six or seven Batman and there all over the room.
- 42:46Speaker 2: One's drooling, one's trying to eat the.

- 43:46Speaker 1: you before we close up the Treehouse for today, Trey,
- 43:49Speaker 1: did you hear the big news out of North Korea
- 43:50Speaker 1: the other day. Kim Jong un, the Supreme Leader of
- 43:55Speaker 1: North Korea, has mandated that hot dogs and selling hot
- 44:02Speaker 1: dogs or cooking hot dogs will land you in labor
- 44:07Speaker 1: camps in North Korea. No more hot dogs in North Korea.
- 44:13Speaker 1: If they catch you with hot dogs in North Korea,
