- 0:37my front page. Today, we're going to talk about
- 0:40a game called star field. Old.
- 0:42We're going to see some of the people that are involved in
- 0:46designing that as well as gameplay video and we're going
- 0:51to also discuss our personal views and ideas on this game and
- 0:56also on a more philosophical level.
- 1:01The universe scares the living hell out of me, ladies and
- 1:04gentlemen, that does. I don't know how anybody can
- 1:08look up into the heavens especially at night and see all
- 1:11those stars and the vast emptiness of space and not be in
- 1:16complete and utter all A lot of people we keep our heads down to
- 1:22the ground and we look straight forward or some of us live in
- 1:25the past and we're either looking backwards of frontwards,
- 1:28but not all around us at the same time.
- 1:32And from what I know about the universe, one of the most
- 1:35terrifying aspects is the universe is so big.
- 1:40It wouldn't be wrong to imply, that it goes on for, at least by
- 1:45appearance for all eternity. There's so many things that are
- 1:50going out there. So many things happening in the
- 1:54universe. That it's just frightening,
- 1:59there's dangers that are unknown.
- 2:03And there are also according to NASA, observation, literally
- 2:08over 10,000 meteorites, and asteroids that could possibly
- 2:14hit our Earth that we're able to observe at all times, but that's
- 2:18Only like one percent of what we're able to see, we don't have
- 2:24the technology or the ability on our little blue ball that is
- 2:27racing billions of miles per hour through space.
- 2:33The unbelievable amount of things that could kill us and
- 2:38destroy us and wipe us out when we really fathom, how big the
- 2:42universe is and all the things that are going on in it, it
- 2:46causes us to Be humble and realize that according to the
- 2:52radar of the universe. It's almost as if we're not
- 2:55exist at that, were not even here.
- 2:58That's how small we are. We're just like a tiny fraction
- 3:03and time and anomaly some would say a miracle, some would say by
- 3:11a millionth and 100 Powers. We were not inevitable.
- 3:19We were never meant to be. For sure or necessary.
- 3:24Unless one of coursework to believe in a God or higher power
- 3:29of some sort. Well, Bethesda offers this game
- 3:34called star field and it's supposed to be one of the most
- 3:37extraordinary games that have ever come to exist.
- 3:41Since it's what you call a game changer for the last decade.
- 3:45A lot of games have pretty much copied each other tried to do
- 3:49better than each other, but none of them tried to be absolutely
- 3:55original or unique and and go somewhere that other games.
- 4:00Haven't this game though although it does have a lot of
- 4:04the common things in it, such as exploring and shooting enemies
- 4:09and going on missions and Quest. Like we routinely know the game
- 4:14allows us to travel through space travel to other planets.
- 4:21Explore other worlds. It's a kind of like being able
- 4:29to hit power on a console, or your computer and finding
- 4:34yourself and like the Star Trek universe.
- 4:38But I would say that if you were to compare two Star Trek, you'd
- 4:41probably have to go with something like Deep Space, Nine
- 4:44or Star Trek Enterprise, where it was all.
- 4:50Just starting out the concept is is it doesn't want to go too far
- 4:55into the fantasy and wants to give this realistic appearance
- 4:59or approach for its players. I can see already whenever
- 5:07watching this. That they put a lot of time into
- 5:12it and according to the website, they spent over 25 years
- 5:15designing this. It's their baby.
- 5:20It sir, top creation, they claim to have done a lot of research
- 5:25from NASA what would actually happen in the event of this
- 5:30happening or this scenario or this scenario.
- 5:35They really, really put a lot of thought, a lot of time and of
- 5:38course there was a great deal of art Direction.
- 5:41But one thing that I discovered while watching and listening to
- 5:46the gameplay video, it's over 45 minutes long.
- 5:51That none of this universe. None of this sandbox.
- 5:55World could exist. Unless there was an entire team
- 6:00of designers and organizers and creators.
- 6:03That's right. Ladies and gentlemen.
- 6:06There are people out there who actually believe that it's
- 6:08possible that he Universe can come into existence without the
- 6:12assistance of a designer or programmer, but Bethesda proves
- 6:17that in order to create such a world with all of its lighting
- 6:21with all of its structure with all of its goals, purpose,
- 6:26meaning and mind it requires a lot of logic, a lot of
- 6:30rationality and let's not forget even with Bethesda games.
- 6:35There comes a A lot of bugs. A lot of Bethesda games whenever
- 6:39you play them, they have all kinds of issues even though they
- 6:45know damn near everything about it and what they're doing they
- 6:50kind of also learn as I go. To me watching something like
- 6:56this coming to existence, it validates, even more and more.
- 7:01That there is a God that there is a designer.
- 7:05And I am not trying to imply that we might live in a
- 7:09simulation. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm not
- 7:12trying to put that forth but I think I can see why one would
- 7:17believe that we do live in some kind of program the world.
- 7:23Regenerated content, everything that we see some of it.
- 7:29Of course, predetermined It's interesting because when the
- 7:35designers talk, they say, we wanted to program and create a
- 7:40world where you would be able to explore and be able to make
- 7:43choices. It's all about you and all
- 7:45about, you making choices all about your free.
- 7:49Will you build your own story in this universe that they created
- 7:54Todd? Howard emphasize that Yet, at
- 7:58the same time, when you're designing a universe and you're
- 8:00designing an entire existence, some things have to be
- 8:05predetermined, some things have to be predestined.
- 8:10Things have to have a start and an ending, or your options, have
- 8:16to lead the consequences, if there is no consequences or
- 8:21there is no reward, then what's the point of even existing at
- 8:25all what's the point of life? And whenever it comes to the
- 8:30game of star field or comes to your own real life?
- 8:35What is the reward and what is the consequences of you ever
- 8:39made decisions in your life that brought consequences for you.
- 8:44Now, when you're playing the game obviously there's going to
- 8:48be some people out there where you're not quite as skilled or
- 8:52maybe you are skilled but something.
- 8:54Totally unexpected happens to you and you find yourself dying
- 8:58on some kind of dead Moon. Perhaps, you have fought some
- 9:03kind of creature that you did not realize that was standing
- 9:06behind a tree. Perhaps, you decided to go down
- 9:11into a deep dark tunnel and you are attacked by a bunch of very
- 9:16strange. Unusual meat-eating creatures
- 9:18that have tore a hole in your oxygen suit.
- 9:22What will you do? When this happens will you
- 9:25become angry? Will you yell at the designers?
- 9:30Will you raise your fist and throw down your controller and
- 9:33say, damn, you designers. Damn, you programmers, you put
- 9:37me in this world. You told me that it was
- 9:40extremely dangerous, you told me that it was tough.
- 9:43You told me I need to watch where I'm going and watch what
- 9:46I'm doing and I always keep my gun loaded but here I am, I'm
- 9:51covered in Alien shit. And I'm not exactly sure what to
- 9:56do with myself anymore. Oh goodness.
- 10:02Space scares the hell out of me. Ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:04It terrifies me. I've been in big gamer for a
- 10:11long time and in order to be a gamer like specially a
- 10:15role-playing game or such as myself, he likes to immerse
- 10:19himself in, to the world's that he finds himself plopped into I
- 10:25really, really get very creative I get imaginative.
- 10:28That's what video games demand of you, especially sandbox game.
- 10:33Sometimes you have to think of creative ways in order to be
- 10:37able to solve puddle. Puzzles yet to solve ways to be
- 10:41able to get through an event or scenario in order to not only
- 10:45get the reward or meet the gold that you want.
- 10:48But simply to survive, And that's what really it's things
- 10:55like this. It's what you see on the screen
- 11:00that proves to me that the Universe I truly do live in
- 11:04requires a designer or programmer.
- 11:08Could you imagine talking to a skeptic or critic and asking
- 11:12them? Is it possible for something
- 11:14like this to exist this world to exist without there being a
- 11:19designer? What idiot are dumbfounded
- 11:23person would ever claim that something like Starfield are
- 11:28Fallout or Elder Scrolls could exist without an entire team of
- 11:36designers. What kind of fool would ever
- 11:41argue that you're irrational and illogical are stupid for
- 11:45imagining that there's more to the universe than than just what
- 11:50you see moving forward or backwards.
- 11:55And obviously, you know that while you're traveling through
- 11:58the space of star field and traveling to the universe, you
- 12:02know, that the developers and the designers do not actually
- 12:05exist in the world. They exist outside the monitor
- 12:09watching in which in a way kind of argues that they live outside
- 12:15of the space and time and matter of the very universe that they
- 12:19designed and created for them time will seemed very, very
- 12:25different than the time that you're spending within their
- 12:29universe that they programmed and designed At any time at the
- 12:37push of a button, they can make that entire universe disappear,
- 12:42no matter how heroic you've become, no matter how evil you
- 12:46become in the world that they created.
- 12:48They could stop at any time. In fact, they have the power to
- 12:53stop the sun. They have the power to flood an
- 12:57entire planet, they have the power to suddenly make it appear
- 13:01as though things are coming into existence, the I spontaneous
- 13:06generation if they so choose at any time, they want to do this,
- 13:11they can how can anybody criticize someone who believes
- 13:20that there are programmers and designers with thought, process
- 13:24and logic and rationality behind the whole thing, the kind of
- 13:29math, the kind of information, the kind of scripting required
- 13:34to create something that somewhat even kind of relates or
- 13:42appear, similar to real life. It can't be done without a
- 13:48designer or programmer. Well, that's my philosophical
- 13:58views on it, ladies and gentlemen, although I'm
- 14:02terrified to space. One thing about Brad Keen is I
- 14:08take on my fears any phobias, I might have any fears or concerns
- 14:13or things I'm worried about, I try to face them head-on Because
- 14:20I feel like the experience is worth it.
- 14:23No matter what happens. No, what?
- 14:27No matter what happens on my adventure, whether I die,
- 14:31whether I suffer. The reward is worth it and it
- 14:36gives meaning and purpose to existence.
- 14:40And to me, if you're not reversing space, if you're not
- 14:46Socializing or communicating or feeling this desire to learn
- 14:51about the things around you then what is life?
- 14:58Life is? Meaning, and purpose, existence.
- 15:04I'm looking so forward to the adventure that is being set out
- 15:07for me. I sometimes wonder When God
- 15:15created us, was there a time? Before we became biological
- 15:23organisms before we became the humans that we are today.
- 15:28I wonder if we all assembled before God, the spirits and
- 15:33souls. And God said, I have created a
- 15:37physical universe. And any of you out there who may
- 15:41be interested, you get to be a part of it, but there's one
- 15:45single catch and of course all of Of us be in the explorers
- 15:51that we are. We ask, what is the catch God?
- 15:54What is the catch my dear designer?
- 15:57And God says, in order for you to fully appreciate this
- 16:01universe that I've created, you have to start over, you have to
- 16:06take baby steps, you'll come into the world with no memory of
- 16:12this conversation and you will learn as you go along.
- 16:19Unlike this existence, you won't have the knowledge of
- 16:22everything. You won't know everything.
- 16:25You won't be able to understand everything that's happening.
- 16:28You'll learn. As you go, you'll live as you go
- 16:30and you'll die as you go. But whenever you die.
- 16:35Providing that during that life, that you existed, you make the
- 16:40choice that you want to come back to the designer that choice
- 16:44will always be available to you. However if you don't then one
- 16:49day the game will end and you will remain in the game as its
- 16:55pixels are falling to pieces and you will find yourself in the
- 17:00darkness of oblivia. And that will be the end of your
- 17:05avatar. And your consciousness.
- 17:11Everything that makes you alive. I've often wondered if that's
- 17:19the way life is that we were given a choice a long time ago
- 17:24and for some of us because we can't remember our pre-existence
- 17:28when bad things happen, are we make bad choices?
- 17:32We blame the designers, not realizing that the entire time.
- 17:37This is what we chose. We were given the terms of
- 17:41service. We were given the guidelines and
- 17:44we were told You're going to be here, but you always.
- 17:50It's not as if you'll be completely blind in the game.
- 17:54I'll leave a manual inside. Inside the Kosmos of this game,
- 17:59there will be a manual and you can learn as much about the
- 18:03designers you want. And if you want to return to me,
- 18:07you can if you don't. Well, then that's your decision.
- 18:16When the designers created, this world of star field, they didn't
- 18:20create it with the intention of pissing you off.
- 18:23They didn't design the world because they wanted to upset
- 18:26you. They designed it so you'd be
- 18:29able to have meaning and purpose in an experience.
- 18:33The use your creativity in your imagination, to use the very
- 18:37mind that you have in order to enjoy what life has to offer.
- 18:46And I believe that's exactly the way our real world is.
- 18:50I am looking so forward to being able to exploring this and my
- 18:54real life, Humanity hasn't come to the point where we have the
- 18:58technology to travel thousands of light-years to A worlds and
- 19:04planets not yet. I believe that if Humanity
- 19:08survives whatever, meteorites and asteroids out there, if we
- 19:12survived all the natural disasters and destruction that
- 19:16humans do to each other. That one day, it's possible you
- 19:22and I Could be doing a Smugglers, Run Through the
- 19:26Universe. Exploring New Life, other
- 19:31worlds. All this.
- 19:35But unfortunately, according to the manual it says that many of
- 19:41us are so evil and so corrupt. And I have such black hearts
- 19:48That we end up becoming Our Own Worst Enemy and in the end, we
- 19:54will trifle all of our potential.
- 20:00And we may not make it as far as what we could of due to the
- 20:04greed and the nastiness of our own hearts and imaginations.
- 20:18There's a ship. It's Landing.
- 20:24What do you guys think? I recently upgraded my system, I
- 20:33was barely able to travel or Traverse to a city in a game
- 20:38like Fallout because my frame rate would drop.
- 20:44I love exploring Boston but says, it has offered me world
- 20:49such as Boston. They offered me Fallout 76,
- 20:53which I got to be honest with you, I didn't really enjoy that
- 20:57much and they gave me the Elder Scrolls series.
- 21:02I can't tell you how many years I spent on Skyrim and Fallout 4
- 21:06and Vegas and Fallout 3. But those were just land areas.
- 21:13Now I get to discover the universe.
- 21:18Wow, I'm so excited. Are you excited?
- 21:25I'm looking forward to building my own ships.
- 21:29I'm looking forward to meeting new people.
- 21:33Well, a guy people in PCS, it's pretty clear.
- 21:39Ladies and gentlemen that artificial intelligence is going
- 21:42to be incorporated in many video games moving forward.
- 21:46It already has been right now, you can go to steam and you can
- 21:50actually look at some of their games in there.
- 21:54Adding AI into a game. Imagine yourself able to walk up
- 21:59to an NPC and it doesn't just have a couple lines like we need
- 22:03you to go. Do this Quest that you can
- 22:06actually have a full-on conversation all day with any
- 22:09one of the NPC's and each one of them have their own personality
- 22:13and their own thought process, but they'll be locked in.
- 22:20To talk about, they'll have access to information that you
- 22:23would expect from their specific.
- 22:26Consciousness or personality because you don't want to be
- 22:31talking to an NPC and that suddenly starts talking about a
- 22:34bunch of stuff that it seemed trending on Twitter, right?
- 22:37So it makes sense that they walk the information that it will
- 22:41use, it will have its own memory storage Bank.
- 22:45Aren't what it can pull from an extract from just like human
- 22:48beings. If you are human being has a
- 22:51certain skill set, then you should expect that.
- 22:54It will only be able to have conversations about Things that
- 22:57it knows about. Although it is true.
- 23:00There are a lot of humans out there who like to pretend as
- 23:02though they have more skills than what they actually have.
- 23:06And they like to talk about shit that they don't actually know.
- 23:11I see a lot of that on YouTube, I've observed that for over 20
- 23:14years I'm so excited. I like the idea of being able to
- 23:24have my own ship and bring people along with me that will
- 23:28help me further my adventures and and all that.
- 23:33But that has always offered the ability to kind of create
- 23:38relationships because the characters have personality you
- 23:42learned actually care about them.
- 23:44I can honestly say after playing Skyrim I really enjoyed the
- 23:50story of Lydia and some of the followers and I had that would
- 23:54come with me and they would help me win and fight.
- 23:57Help me survive and fall out. I really, really got I really
- 24:06felt as though there was kind of a friendship there, even though
- 24:09I know it was artificial between Piper Kate and some of the other
- 24:16followers that you got to take along with you and even some of
- 24:19the new ones that were created by Ma deuce out there.
- 24:22Such as Heather, kassadin, and Ivy, the amazing things that
- 24:31people are going to be doing with these mods.
- 24:35The amazing things, that's one of the cool things about the
- 24:38designers of Bethesda like God, they have given people the
- 24:44ability to be able to create, they offer creation kits, where
- 24:48people like me can actually download software and be able to
- 24:52incorporate new content and our own creative and imaginative
- 24:57ideas into their world. Or universe.
- 25:01This game is probably going to be the game that I live and die,
- 25:04aren't I? Games have gotten to a point
- 25:08where it costs almost $100 to be able to afford one of these
- 25:12things and you have to have high-powered computers.
- 25:16I had to go through an entire upgrade recently costed me.
- 25:20Hundreds of dollars to be able to upgrade my system.
- 25:23So I'll be able to handle the next generation of content and
- 25:27material. But I am now 46 years old and I
- 25:34know that I spent many years in Skyrim as well as fall out and
- 25:38that was just a map that was just an area.
- 25:43Now, I'm going to be doing the universe I've told my son and
- 25:46daughter that whenever I get into this game as well as my
- 25:50wife is so probably most likely be the last game that I require.
- 25:55Why play anything else? Whenever I'm going to have an
- 25:58entire universe and I'll always have goals and rewards and
- 26:02things that I can do. This will be my virtual
- 26:06existence I live and die on. So I got the upgrade, I've got
- 26:12the system. I've got the requirements more
- 26:14than enough. And I'm going to be traversing
- 26:21space, very excited about it. What do you guys all think?
- 26:34How do you feel about it? This kind of gives me a stall
- 26:40Wars star track feel. A little bit of cyberpunk and
- 26:47because of the western stuff that's in that I love the
- 26:49Western as well. That's one of the reasons I
- 26:52always like to fall out because it was kind of this Western
- 26:55aspect, it was gritty. Some of the worlds were tore up.
- 27:00So are some of the areas that we stand the game but even the
- 27:05Thursday has this remarkable way of taking an ugly area that's
- 27:10meant to be ugly or apocalyptic. Are you going?
- 27:13Medieval. And make it look beautiful.
- 27:17How you could travel through a sewer inside the one of their
- 27:21games, and it still looks mystical and magical and I just
- 27:27don't know how they do it. And the entire thing about Todd
- 27:34Howard, and the developers of this game, that's their true
- 27:39desires. I want you to have the most
- 27:41phenomenal experience that you're ever going to have.
- 27:45They spent 25 years creating this.
- 27:54To be honest with you, ladies and gentlemen, once this games
- 27:57created, as I'm sitting here watching and screen and talk to
- 28:01you about it, I don't know if I'll even want to bother talking
- 28:04on YouTube anymore. I don't know if I want to bother
- 28:09even now. Doing videos.
- 28:15I mean, why why bother anymore? I watch somebody recently by the
- 28:23name of Candace Owens who's a really sweet young lady,
- 28:27beautiful smart, and because she has some views and ideas that
- 28:33don't agree with what's being said out there.
- 28:38She lost your channel for a little bit there and some others
- 28:41have been demonetized that have over millions of Subs.
- 28:45Could you imagine that get millions of subscribers and
- 28:49because you say, some things that you don't agree with about
- 28:52what's going on in the world? A company like YouTube can take
- 28:56everything from you. It doesn't matter how big you
- 28:59are, how popular you are. Yeah.
- 29:07Honestly, I would rather be running around in the universe.
- 29:12Eating cheese sandwiches and blowing up, asteroids, and
- 29:16waking up and finding out that just because I said something
- 29:20that might have hurt somebody's feelings or they didn't agree
- 29:23with. Gives these people the idea that
- 29:28it's okay to just silence me so I never existed.
- 29:35And this universe, the sky is not the limit.
- 29:41The universe is not the limit. It's a single-player game folks.
- 29:51Maybe one day someone will create a mod where you can
- 29:55invite like a friend or something to ride on the ship
- 29:58with you and explore space with you, but all your friends will
- 30:03be pixels. All your friends will be NPCs
- 30:11Everyone. You will meet will probably be
- 30:13more interesting than some of the real people you've met in
- 30:15your life yet. None of them will have a soul.
- 30:21Unless of course the designer decides to make it that way.
- 30:28Well, that's that. Ladies and gentlemen.
- 30:32I hope you enjoyed the video. God bless.
