- 0:02What do y'all what is going on? It is I alone by myself,
- 0:10no cohorts, no ami goes, just me today, Quincy's traveling, Joe
- 0:17is just wrapping up traveling. So it's kind of like a perfect storm of
- 0:23imperfectness. But I am here, have no fear. I sent out the
- 0:29bat signal just in case, by any chance, they're available right now,
- 0:33because sometimes little pockets of time be opening up and they can definitely pop in
- 0:38if they so choose. But let's say this just a full transparency. I'm
- 0:45listening to Maxwell right now. I've been kind of like in a little funk,
- 0:50and I wouldn't even say a funk. I would say I've been kind
- 0:54of wrapped up in a lot of different projects, and you get kind of
- 0:58lost in this shuffle of life. A lot of stuff is going on,
- 1:02but it's a lot of it is unfinished slash, a lot of it is
- 1:07in process, so you're not really achieving anything per se. You're just taking
- 1:12steps and digging away at the projects. And I'm in like that little weird
- 1:17space where like right now I really don't gotten on the show for it with
- 1:21either of the projects. So it's a little weird space to be in.
- 1:26It's like you're working hard, but you're not really feeling the benefits I guess
- 1:32of the work. But that's why we pushed through shout out to the boy
- 1:36freddie Man. I had a conversation with him earlier and we were just kind
- 1:41of going over different things that have been going on SLASH, you know,
- 1:46situations that have been arising SLASH changing, and we were just talking about,
- 1:53like, hey, a lot of that work be the difference sometimes of you
- 1:57know, you being in a situation you're in and somebody that might be in
- 2:01a situation where they're looking at you and they want to be in your shoes.
- 2:07They don't know that all that work got you there and you're still not
- 2:13done, you know what I mean, especially nowadays with social media where for
- 2:16example, with music, you could take a trip to Atlanta and if you
- 2:21got money, you can go to a studio. Even that sometimes it's something
- 2:25that you post. Some people are like damgn man, he's doing big things,
- 2:29X, Y and Z is happening, but you really ain't doing nothing.
- 2:32You just took the trip and you spent some money, you know what
- 2:36I mean. And that was something that we went through as like we were
- 2:42kind of navigating our way through the music, and now, you know,
- 2:46something like five years later in this iteration of the music, it's like people
- 2:52look at you a certain way and they almost think that it's like you might
- 2:59have just discovered something that they don't know yet, and all you need to
- 3:04do is kind of give them that secret. But that's definitely not the case.
- 3:08It's all about the journey. It's all about the work, you know
- 3:12what I mean. Just something that's been coming up a lot, like in
- 3:15my personal life, just with people I've been dealing with, and just people
- 3:20in my life even you know what I mean, where you kind of can
- 3:24see people are aiming for something, but they might not know how to take
- 3:30that first step, or they might be thinking a lot about that first step
- 3:35when there's no right way to take it. And even if you do take
- 3:38it the right way, it's not gonna matter in the long run, you
- 3:42know what I mean. You just gotta take that step and take that leap
- 3:45and go through that ugly stage. You know, something we talk about on
- 3:49this show all the time. You know, you gotta go through that ugly
- 3:53stage. There's just no way around it. You know, somebody that is
- 3:57an Olympic diver. You see them at the top of that platform and hitting
- 4:00this crazy spin and hitting the water and it barely makes the drop. But
- 4:04you ain't seeing the belly flops, you know what I mean. You ain't
- 4:08seen the eight hours in the community pool where they just shriveled up. But
- 4:13they just keep working to keep building that muscle memory and they keep you know,
- 4:17building those muscles period just to be able to perform, you know.
- 4:21And it's something that people find I wouldn't say they find it fascinating, but
- 4:28it's definitely something that people kind of overthink and maybe make it bigger than what
- 4:34it is. But most of the time, the difference between people that do
- 4:39stuff and don't do stuff is the people that do stuff actually do it,
- 4:45you know what I mean. It sounds kind of simple and dumb, but
- 4:48it always goes back to something I always think about and I mentioned on the
- 4:51show before, but it's something that was really impactful once I realized that later
- 4:57on, and I always forget yet things and I don't even remember who told
- 5:00me this, but the actual idea stuck with me so much, you know
- 5:04what I mean. But when I was first, not when I first started
- 5:09making music because I've been making music a long time. I used to rap
- 5:12before. I was actually like in a little rap group. We got signed
- 5:16to a hometown record label. We ended up opening up for three to six
- 5:19Mafia at the House of Blues, and you know, that was a cool
- 5:24little ride and there was a lot of twists and terns with that. We
- 5:26learned a lot of different things about you know, business and kind of seeing
- 5:31those red flags, you know what I mean. Fast forward to now and
- 5:39you know you still kind of deal with that same kind of stuff. But
- 5:43back to what I was saying with the music thing, It's like somebody told
- 5:47me a long time ago when I asked kind of like advice on you know,
- 5:51things you should do to kind of move forward, good habits, things
- 5:56like that, and they told me keep recording, you know, And it
- 6:01was something that at the time seemed very dismissive. It seemed like they was
- 6:05trying to, you know, brush me off and tell me some generic thing.
- 6:11But all this time later I really understood what they really meant, just
- 6:15from the point of view of like, if you're in the lab cooking,
- 6:18creating, and you're consistently doing that, that's how you learn how to break
- 6:24through those ruts. That's how you learn the tricks. That's how you learn.
- 6:28All the stuff you're looking for is in the work, you know what
- 6:30I mean. And that's kind of what the concept of, Hey just record,
- 6:34that's anything else. Anything you're trying to do, you're trying to get
- 6:38better out of. Do it more practice, spend more time in it,
- 6:42let it consume you, you know what I mean. That's another thing too
- 6:45about just learning things and getting better at things and being a type of person
- 6:49that's going to push forward and grow in what they do is actually doing it
- 6:57and taking the time and creating that habit in your self of actually putting the
- 7:01time aside actually being able to have the energy to push through because perfect example,
- 7:11shout out to Unk when me and him first kind of locked in and
- 7:15you know, he saw something and what I was doing where he extended his
- 7:19hand. It was something where it was like, hey, I want to
- 7:24work with you, but I got this time, and the time is like
- 7:29almost overnight, you know what I mean. I got a family, I
- 7:32got a business, you know what I mean. So this is the kind
- 7:34of thing where it's like, dagn I'm gonna have to be doing them kind
- 7:40of hours. But it's like either you do it or it doesn't get done,
- 7:44you know what I mean. The opportunities be popping up, people just
- 7:47don't want to recognize them as opportunities because they're not ideal, you know what
- 7:50I'm saying. And it's like, you got you gotta make those sacrifices.
- 7:57You gotta know that anytime you trying some extra, it's going to be extra
- 8:01work, you know what I mean. Nobody's ever just going to get a
- 8:03job and work nine to five and then come home and chill and do something
- 8:09extraordinary, you know what I mean. It's not the nine to five that
- 8:11will limit you or put you in a box. It's yourself. It's the
- 8:16crazy thing about work to me, is like and one of the reasons why
- 8:20I was never the type of person. I was real big on school.
- 8:24And man, I didn't go to college. I didn't even graduate high school.
- 8:28I got a gd like a couple of years after. And you know,
- 8:33it's not for lack of knowledge, and it's not for lack of seeking
- 8:37knowledge. It's just right or wrong. I just didn't see any value in
- 8:41it, you know what I mean. And the idea and later on in
- 8:43life, I really learned what I didn't see value in was the followers that
- 8:52sometimes associates with that not saying that everybody that goes to school or whatever is
- 8:56a follower, but just because you go to school doesn't mean that your path
- 9:01is already paid for you. You know what I mean. It's a lot
- 9:03of people that go to school, you know, have a plan for their
- 9:07life and they kind of get in this zone or rhythm where they don't think
- 9:13about what they're doing anymore. It's just like this is what I'm think,
- 9:18this is what I think I should do, and it kind of stops there.
- 9:22And that kind of thing is like where it kind of drives me crazy
- 9:26seeing it from the outside looking in with certain people where it's like, Dan,
- 9:30you just work, you consume by work, you come home, you
- 9:35don't get enough energy to do anything with your family, your significant other,
- 9:39boyfriend, girlfriend, kids, whatever it is, whoever you got in your
- 9:43life. The work takes so much away from your actual life where the work
- 9:48becomes your life, you know what I mean. You see it with so
- 9:50many people, and you know a lot of people have that mindset of like,
- 9:54oh, I gotta do it because I gotta provide this is and that,
- 9:56and it's like nobody's saying it donna work. All I'm saying is figure
- 10:03out how to feed yourself in that process and figure out how to make your
- 10:09life, slash your situation, make it work for you, you know what
- 10:13I mean. I'm gonna look this up because I've seen it online and I'm
- 10:18not sure if it's one hundred percent true, but it's something I saw about
- 10:22working that kind of not necessarily opened my eyes. But it's a good example
- 10:33here it is. It's a good example of what I'm talking about and kind
- 10:35of like my concept behind it. So by now, a lot of people
- 10:41have heard about Jamie Fox, you know, prayers up. They said that
- 10:45he went through some serious health problems and there was a lot of different things
- 10:50coming out. He was in the middle of shooting a movie. He had
- 10:54to stop as an emergency, you know, and just really focus on his
- 10:58health because it was something that they say that he almost passed away from,
- 11:01you know, the movie. Just got a stunt double to finish the stuff
- 11:05that he was doing. They're own a schedule, you know, They've got
- 11:09a whole bunch of money riding on that and Jamie Fox, being almost dead
- 11:16doesn't stop the train, you know what I mean. And I say that
- 11:20just to say the idea that, you know, there's so many people that
- 11:24give so much to their jobs and so much to a corporate lifestyle, or
- 11:30they give so much importance to their career advancement that it becomes something that kind
- 11:37of they neglect and put to the side the things that make them human,
- 11:43you know what I mean. You gotta figure out a way to balance that
- 11:46the right where you gotta figure out a way to be in a situation where
- 11:52your work doesn't define you. And when I say work, I mean your
- 11:56literal job, like the things that are trivial in your day that are just
- 12:07things that you have to do because it's part of the whole system that we're
- 12:11all in, you know what I mean. And it's just sad a lot
- 12:16of times to see people kind of just living their lives and they're just kind
- 12:20of letting it, you know, they're just kind of letting the days float.
- 12:24You know what I mean. Time is it's something everybody knows. But
- 12:28obviously time is something that you can't get back. It's time is something you
- 12:31can't create. You know what I mean, no matter what you find valuable,
- 12:35time is always going to be that thing that's going to be the most
- 12:39valuable because even when you're even when you're working, your time is worth more
- 12:46money the more skill you have, which means that the time of somebody that
- 12:50has a very strong and smart mind that can get things done, that can
- 12:58create, that can produce, that can move companies along, the time of
- 13:01that person is worth so much that they're going to pay you more, I
- 13:07mean a crazy amount more than somebody that's going to be doing a lower level
- 13:13job, you know what I mean. And that's something that a lot of
- 13:15people also lament with, like people working hourly jobs. It's like they want
- 13:22to get paid more at certain jobs, but it's like you're doing something that
- 13:26anybody can come in here and do you know what I mean. If you're
- 13:31looking to get paid more, you need to figure out a way to add
- 13:33value to yourself and to be valuable in whatever situation you're in and have an
- 13:39actual skill that you can bring to the situation. And that's the part of
- 13:43the schooling thing that I missed as far as my thinking as a kid,
- 13:48which obviously wasn't one hundred percent the right thinking. But you know, going
- 13:54to school and learning these things and actually using it to your benefits, to
- 14:00add value to you later on, that's what you should be thinking about when
- 14:03it comes to school. When it comes to these jobs. I mean,
- 14:05I've heard of people that got jobs that, you know, you can go
- 14:07to work and get paid to learn how to let's say, you know,
- 14:13fix things around the house. You know, if you're a maintenance man,
- 14:16you can go, you know, go to school to be an electrician and
- 14:20become an electrician and basically you're getting paid to figure out these situations that whenever
- 14:24you need them done for you, you have those skills and you don't have
- 14:28to pay nobody else. And not only are you making money doing something for
- 14:33other people, but you're saving that money doing it for yourself because you're not
- 14:37having to pay it to anybody because you already have that skill. And I
- 14:41just find it super valuable. I've always been the type of person that wants
- 14:46to learn anything I can learn, as far as like doing things with my
- 14:48hands, as far as like building, fixing, anything that has to do
- 14:52with tools, even just having tools. I've always been the type of person
- 14:56that if anybody offers me like, Yo, I got this extra two,
- 15:01I got a new one. Do you want it? I'll take it?
- 15:03You know what I mean? Because the more tools you have, the more
- 15:05options you have to just get things done, you know what I'm saying.
- 15:11I know I'm kind of rambling right now, but this is like one of
- 15:13them shows where I can kind of just ramble on uninterrupted because I'd be interrupting
- 15:20myself even sometimes. Like I was listening to last week's episode and I was
- 15:24trying to cut the clips to put them on my Instagram and the TikTok and
- 15:28everything, and I just couldn't find like a clip where I could just cut
- 15:33like fifteen seconds or something, because every two seconds, I'm like starting to
- 15:37talk about something else or remembering something or cutting to another part of the story.
- 15:43And it was super frustrating even just hearing myself. So I'm gonna try
- 15:46to be better at that, because if it was frustrating for me to listen
- 15:50to, I know I had to be frustrating for people to listen to.
- 15:54But going back to last week, last week we had the episode when we
- 15:56talked about the barbecue that we had for just to get together, and we
- 16:02ended up turning it into Quincy's video shoot for Good Days. He's doing real
- 16:07good well with that song and it's one of his better performance songs, and
- 16:10it's definitely a vibe that we want to hear more of from him because it
- 16:14definitely like just fits them perfectly. And man, that story about the barbecue
- 16:18was just so hilarious and it was something that everybody that was involved just Man,
- 16:23hearing that podcast was just ridiculously funny, and just hearing from the people
- 16:29that was there afterwards was hilarious. And I'm hoping we can do a lot
- 16:33more events just for the podcast and for the people that listen, for the
- 16:37people that have been listening, for new listeners, even just stuff that we
- 16:41can do for people that don't listen but can benefit from, you know,
- 16:45the type of event that we put on, because you know, we want
- 16:51to kind of build like this community type of vibe with the show, and
- 16:55it's something that hasn't really been cultivated yet, but I know we're on the
- 16:59right path because what we're talking about and the way that we've been structuring things
- 17:03in a way that we've been rolling has been how I've hoped that it would
- 17:07go. You know what I mean, so as things un roll and as
- 17:12we start, you know, kind of expanding and figuring out what we really
- 17:17want to do with this, it's going to get a lot doper and there's
- 17:19gonna be a lot more exciting things coming and exciting as far as like just
- 17:26interactive and community type things, you know what I mean. With the podcast,
- 17:32we're coming up on fifty episodes. We've actually already dropped fifty actual audio
- 17:38recordings because some shows we've split in two, so they were technically two different
- 17:44podcasts, but it's really one show. So we're past fifty actual episodes that
- 17:49are out. But as far as like official titles, you know, counting
- 17:56the one, the Part one and two is as one episode, we're episode
- 18:00forty seven, so three episodes away from fifty episodes, and like I said,
- 18:04we've had part ones in two, so we're already past a year.
- 18:08And the fact that we're pasted a year is so dope, just because the
- 18:15idea that we've been so consistent with this and have rolled it out the way
- 18:22we have and it's been growing and then by no means is it at some
- 18:26crazy level, but it's definitely been growing, and get into a dope level
- 18:30there's been a good amount of people that are tapped in and tuned in.
- 18:33We're not just speaking into the void, which is super dope. But more
- 18:37than all that, it's just the fact that this is kind of like the
- 18:41last thing on everybody's plate right now, you know what I mean. Like
- 18:47Quincy's got a lot of stuff going on with his engagement. You know,
- 18:52he's still pretty fresh with his move to Georgia. So even though he's settled
- 18:57in, he's still not one hundred percent settled in, if it makes sense,
- 19:03you know what I mean. He's not so acclimated into the community.
- 19:06He's not you know, one hundred percent set up in his place where how
- 19:10he wants to be. And just the fact that he's juggling that with also
- 19:15a lot of different professional changes that are happening in his life and a lot
- 19:19of goals that he's trying to cross off as far as going up in his
- 19:23job and just you know, becoming a professional with a portfolio and assets and
- 19:37basically like the dynasty that he's trying to build for his future family and family
- 19:45now is super dope. And just the plan he has with that is super
- 19:49dope. And just how he kind of sees his legacy as being kind of
- 19:56like the foundation of the future. His family is really dope, and it's
- 20:02a big task. And I say that to say all that stuff he's doing,
- 20:07he's still making sure that the podcast gets done, you know what I
- 20:11mean. And that's something that like, there's people that all they want to
- 20:15do is start a podcast, you know what I'm saying, and can't find
- 20:18the time to record an episode a week or two episodes a week, you
- 20:22know what I mean. You got people like Joe that's you know, traveling
- 20:29like crazy for either work or just other stuff that he got going on.
- 20:33He's in the Las Vegas time zone, so he's three hours behind us.
- 20:37So just imagine just the time difference how much that effects what's going on.
- 20:41Obviously he has his everyday regular life. He's in the middle of basically working
- 20:48out the logistics of a move back from Las Vegas to Florida that he announced
- 20:56last time that he's coming back. He's in the middle of I don't I
- 21:00can't even say what it is because I don't know what I can say.
- 21:03But the types of projects Joe works on is just like and then the job
- 21:07that he does and everything is like super like advanced kind of stuff and stressful
- 21:12projects that sometimes the last six months, you know what I mean, it's
- 21:18you know, a team of like twenty people working on something every day for
- 21:22six months. I mean the amount of stuff this guy got on his plate
- 21:26and still finding the time to do the podcast. And again there's people that
- 21:30all they want to do is start a podcast and can't find the time to
- 21:33record their podcast episodes. So, you know, I like to associate myself
- 21:38with people like that because I'm the type of person that I just can't stand
- 21:44sitting around and hearing excuses, you know what I mean. I don't like
- 21:48dreaming, I don't like giving excuses anything that doesn't have action attached to it,
- 21:53I don't like being associated with it. I'm the type of person that
- 21:57I'd rather do something wrong because we jumped into it and at least learn how
- 22:03to do it better than next time. Then I'm not the type of I'm
- 22:07more like that than the type of person that's gonna sit and plan forever and
- 22:11either not do it or finally get it done years later, you know what
- 22:14I mean. And at the end of the day, I say that to
- 22:18basically just say which is the overall theme of what I'm talking about today is
- 22:22get up off your ass and do something. At the end of the day,
- 22:27all you got is this life, and the time that you spend is
- 22:33gone. The time that's coming. You don't know how long it is,
- 22:36how much it is, but you have to cherish it and it's all you
- 22:40got. All you got is the time that's coming, and you don't even
- 22:44know how much that is. Think about how profound that is. There's so
- 22:48many people that bank on I'll do it tomorrow, I'll do this, Nah
- 22:52man, you banking on something that you have no clue about. You have
- 22:57to make it happen. There's no excuse. You can wait for the perfect
- 23:03moment. It's never gonna happen. You're just gonna keep waiting. You can
- 23:07wait, you can't wait, you know what I'm saying. I could lay
- 23:10out all the scenarios, but realistically, you just can't wait. You gotta
- 23:14make it happen now. And just be realistic with yourself. If you realize
- 23:18that you're not the type of person that's gonna do X, Y and Z,
- 23:21at least do X you know what I mean, figure out how to
- 23:25at least do a little bit of figure out how to stimulate your mind and
- 23:29give your life more meaning than just the meaningless drivel that has been given to
- 23:36you by society. At the end of the day, this whole go to
- 23:41school, get a job, save up for it, to all that that
- 23:44wasn't even how I mean, that's how we live in right now, and
- 23:47this iteration of life. It's not even how people are living on other continents.
- 23:52It's not even how people are living in other countries. It's not how
- 23:56people were living in other times. This is how we're living right now because
- 24:00that's the construct that was put before us. The idea that you're going to
- 24:04dedicate your life to a lifestyle that might be obsolete in five years is crazy
- 24:12to me. It's just nuts, and I will never understand it. Work
- 24:19is a means to an end, regardless of how much you even, let's
- 24:25say I end up being able to one hundred percent, just just make my
- 24:27money off music and that's it. Right at the end of the day,
- 24:33working in music is a means to an end. What I really want to
- 24:36do is make timeless music that will stick around for centuries to come. And
- 24:44the same thing Quincy's trying to do as far as being that first generation in
- 24:48my family that sets up the dynasty for years to come. Even that and
- 24:55even my musical goals have nothing to do with working as a music aian for
- 25:00a living. What you do for a living is just you working to satisfy
- 25:08what you're really here to do. So remember that, always give that extra
- 25:15effort to think every single day what am I doing? And sometimes and I'm
- 25:22gonna tell you, like this, it's not something that you're gonna ask yourself
- 25:26that one day and it's gonna just reveal itself to you, or you're gonna
- 25:30feel clear minded because of it. Because there's plenty of days where I wake
- 25:34up and I'm like, what am I doing? And I have no answer
- 25:37to it. For whatever reason. That day, I might just be super
- 25:41down on everything that I've been working on. I might hear the last five
- 25:45songs I did and just the weight my ears work that day, they're all
- 25:48trash. I wonder like why am I even trying to sing? Like this
- 25:53is garbage? Like I have those days. Everybody has those days, man,
- 25:59Like, don't don't get caught up in romanticizing things and forget that we
- 26:06all people, We all humans. At the end of the day, it's
- 26:08the same idea of people working in fast food, and we talked about it
- 26:11on the show before. No offense to those people, ain't nothing wrong with
- 26:15it. But at the end of the day, when you get so caught
- 26:18up in your job that you're treating people like shit just because that's the corporate
- 26:26policy, or you know, you're thinking about hitting your target numbers of how
- 26:30many burgers you're supposed to make in an hour, like all that stuff is
- 26:34irrelevant. You're a person first. We all people. First, satisfy the
- 26:40person, and you satisfy your soul. That's so important, and people lose
- 26:45that so much and then they wonder why they feel the way they feel is
- 26:48because you've lost your soul. You're not a person anymore. You're just a
- 26:53unit, you know, running through every day and just being a statistic in
- 26:59the sense of you're just one of the stats in the news. You know
- 27:03what I'm saying. Just as far as you know, eighty or six percent
- 27:07of Americans smell like cod as cheese, you're just one of them people,
- 27:11you know what I'm saying. If you're not spending your time to really build
- 27:15yourself and understand how to satisfy your soul. You're wasting your time. And
- 27:23I strongly believe that. You know what I mean. It's something that has
- 27:29been on the forefront of my mind for a lot of years. It's something
- 27:34that I don't necessarily talk about with a lot of people, and I don't
- 27:38I don't necessarily talk with a lot of people period. I'm just not a
- 27:42people person. It sounds crazy because you know, I make music and I'm
- 27:47posting every day. I promise you, if I didn't make music, I
- 27:49would not have social media because before I started singing, I didn't have social
- 27:53media. I didn't have Facebook, I didn't have Instagram. My wife had
- 27:57it. I was just had be just being off the grid. And I
- 28:00still am happy being off the grid because I'm not big on things that ain't
- 28:07real, you know what I'm saying. And at the end of the day,
- 28:08this phone right here, when I put it upside down on my desk,
- 28:15it has no bearing on my life. If it dies, that's it.
- 28:19It has no bearing on my life. And the crazy thing is when
- 28:23it's not dead and it's fully charged and you know I'm getting notification, it
- 28:30still has no bearing on my life. There's so much more to satisfying and
- 28:41fulfilling your soul then people's acceptance, people's company even I mean, that's a
- 28:52whole another show. But man, I really, I really feel like there's
- 28:56so much value and spending time I'm alone to the point where you're just getting
- 29:02so in tune with that little voice inside your head that you're just kind of
- 29:07operating on a level that people You'll notice people don't understand it, Slash.
- 29:12They won't want to accept it because they don't want to accept that you're at
- 29:17peace, I promise you. And it's not a thing of like people are
- 29:22haters or all this bullshit that you hear, like, oh, they don't
- 29:26want to see you win, Like, no, it got none to do
- 29:27with none of that. It has everything to do with the fact that everybody's
- 29:33living inside their own head. Everybody is their own person, and at the
- 29:37end of the day, they care about themselves and there is nothing wrong with
- 29:41that. It's wrong when their selfishness affects other people in a negative way.
- 29:51But at the same time, if somebody's selfishness is affecting you in a negative
- 29:55way but they're not actually doing anything to you, then it's the problem is
- 30:00with you. You haven't found that piece in yourself to say, Hey,
- 30:03this person don't want to rock with me no more, this person don't got
- 30:07time for me no more. This person in their mind they elevated to another
- 30:12space and they grew out of me. You can't take none of that personal,
- 30:18and you can't feel like that's like a form of disrespect or anything like
- 30:22that. That person is doing whatever's best for them, because at the end
- 30:25of the day, they lay their head down on their pillow and have their
- 30:27thoughts. They're not laying your head down on your pillow and having your thoughts.
- 30:33You know what I'm saying. It's just it's so simple, but it
- 30:37takes so many people. I don't know, man, I know a lot
- 30:40of people that still don't get that. I mean so many people. I
- 30:44mean now, I would say nine out of ten people don't get that.
- 30:47And when you're going through every day and kind of seeing that, what are
- 30:53you supposed to do? I mean, to a certain point, I don't
- 30:57even like to waste my own breath. So you know, a lot of
- 31:00people will find me real quiet. A lot of people find me like kind
- 31:06of like to myself. I have like a certain kind of vibe to me
- 31:11that people might feel like it's like standoffish or like, you know, they
- 31:17might read it the wrong way, And honestly, what it really is is
- 31:21I just have the energy of I'm looking for a specific type of frequency slash
- 31:29vibe from the people I interact with. And if I don't see that,
- 31:33and I know there's certain elements in there that's gonna not be optimal for me
- 31:40to be operating at my best rocking with you, then we're not rocking.
- 31:47And I honestly don't feel like I owe anybody in explanation for that, because
- 31:49at the end of the day, it goes back to what I just said.
- 31:52We live in our lives and we have an obligation to ourselves to feed
- 31:59our soul in the healthiest way possible, and it's not gonna happen if we're
- 32:04worrying about other people and being lazy. And you know, that's pretty much
- 32:08it, man. I just I've been wanting to kind of do like one
- 32:12of these episodes by myself, just to kind of get these thoughts off for
- 32:15a little while, but I didn't want to force it either, you know
- 32:20what I mean. I knew. It's been something that's been on my mind
- 32:22that I've wanted to talk about and today just kind of happened to be that
- 32:24perfect storm of me being able to execute it. And if you made it
- 32:30this far, man, thank you for listening. And I hope people could
- 32:34kind of take away something from what I'm saying, you know, if y'all
- 32:37got any any time, or y'all just want to leave some comments and just
- 32:42kind of talk about it on the next episode, like what you kind of
- 32:45took away from this. Make sure y'all hit us up, man. We're
- 32:46trying to get people to hit us up at Grounded Show Pod on Instagram.

- 33:49playlist, Shout out to Dante. They just threw that on there. Man,
- 33:52I'm super hype because that playlist is so dope and so legit, and
- 33:55it's just it's one of those things where it's like that hard work that I'm
- 34:00talking about, Like, that's the kind of thing that you get to.
- 34:02That kind of shows you like you're doing the right thing and you want a
- 34:07right path, so stay better.
