Transcript
- Shaun: Hello, I'm Sean Tucker. This is The Reset and we are up to episode 84. something that I wish I did years ago was learn how to discern people's information. I've been misled in so many different directions in business. It's quite unfathomable really. And this is the thing, I bet you are too, right? There's probably a lot of people around you where you're taking information, you're taking advice from, and it's overwhelming. It's simply too much. You know, you're getting a little bit here from someone, you're getting a little bit from someone, someone else over here. And the best piece of advice my partner gave me for my business was, You just need to believe in yourself and trust your gut. Those are two of the most powerful things I think anyone can say to anyone. Because what is that actually empowering? For me, that's what that means is it's coming from a place of you already know what you want. Just use your body as a device, as a compass to go and get what you want. That's as simple as it is. Like your body knows whether it should eat something or shouldn't eat something. Your mind on the other hand will trick you. And I love the mind, right? It's just understanding what, depending on where it comes from, what will happen. Like, yeah, you might eat rotten food by accident, but if you were really in tune with your body and you even just like put your hands over the food or looked at the food, it may not have any visible signs of toxicity or mold or any kind of virus, because these are, you know, micro. organisms. But somehow your body will know. This is what people call intuition, I suppose, but really it's just your body's intelligence of communicating to you. And I think so much more value comes from learning how to tap into that, learning how to really connect with it. Because for a very long time, and I'm sure you're exactly the same, I was quite disconnected from it. and I was stuck in my thoughts thinking about what I should do. Is it the perfect strategy? Is it? the perfect plan to get there. And in many cases it is the perfect plan. Right? But a plan is only perfect on paper. When it comes down to execution, a plan is never ever going to go to plan. That's just life. That's just reality. But if you can learn to discern and I guess take away the nutrients that you consume with your food. Take away the information around you, digest it, really grasp it so that your body's like, this is useful, let's use this. We can use this because it has capacity for you to grow. It has the information inside it so you can grow. And I think this is really the difference between someone who's performing and someone who's present. The subtleties are absolutely, if you put someone side by side, someone who's absolutely present versus someone who's great at performing, you wouldn't really see too much difference. But if you asked each person what their experience was, I can guarantee you the person who's more present is way more conscious. is not doing it for selfish reasons is present because they get to be present whereas the person who's performing you know there's an intention there's an intention behind it what can i get from this and i think this is really the difference between someone who performs and someone who just performs well because they're present You don't need to perform well. You can actually let yourself become unfiltered and raw if you just trust yourself, trust in your ability to speak, trust in your ability to be guided in even not knowing what to say. Believe it or not, that's how I've been running every single episode of this podcast. At the very beginning, I'm like, hmm, what should I talk about today? What's something that's still alive for me or for people that I've had conversations with today or this week? And this is definitely one of them. The more present you are, the more... capacity you have. It's as simple as that. Energy comes from your ability to be present. Sometimes it comes from your ability to perform. But when you have that union of the two together, man, that is some powerful stuff. because you are actually probably being re-energized through that process. You're not just being taken for a ride through. You're not just giving energy and reflecting on the last few years in my business. know, following that perfect plan, following that plan that was gonna get me to where I wanted to go. And this is, I think, the problem with that. a lot of the AI tools out there right now, is people are outsourcing their ability to think to these devices, to these pieces of software. But the way that I've been using it in the last few months is to free up my space so that I can think more clearly. Then I'll have it ask me questions so I can see it really clear as to what I'm building. That's the difference between someone who thinks that they know where they're going versus someone who trusts they know which way they're going. Thinking and trusting. Not the same thing. If you really trust your path, you really trust that life has your back, you're on a pathway that is your unique pathway. You've listened deep from within yourself and you've started to believe in your life, your ability, your capacity. The only thing that's left is are you really paying attention? Are you listening to what your body's trying to tell you? There's many different methods to allow this to become your process. This is my process. I use yoga every single day as part of my process. The less I spend time performing, the more time I get being myself. And it's funny because there's more and more space that I get the more deep into the process I go. and that space is new ideas, it's building potential, it's seeing things more clearly. It's really being able to create, not just survive. So, start creating. Use some of these tools so that you can start creating a life that you want to live. start creating how you want to be in that life. That brings us to the end of today's episode. So if you found value in this episode, share it with just one person. That's all I ask. And yeah, thanks for tuning in. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow's episode.
