- 0:00Speaker 1: NBA Draft, I say, I fire you up or was
- 0:02Speaker 1: pretty non eventful.
- 0:04Speaker 2: You knew, to be honest, It's crazy.
- 0:07Speaker 3: I from two thousand and three to about twenty ten
- 0:10Speaker 3: that was kind of like I just had to watch
- 0:13Speaker 3: the draft. Now I'm kind of like, eh, I'm not.
- 0:17Speaker 3: I mean, there's good players in this draft, do not
- 0:19Speaker 3: get me wrong, like there are a lot of time,
- 0:22Speaker 3: but I just don't have the I guess I feel
- 0:24Speaker 3: like the old man where I'm just like, eh, I
- 0:27Speaker 3: just don't really, you know, I don't have the I
- 0:29Speaker 3: have to go sit down and watch every pick and
- 0:31Speaker 3: be like, oh my gosh, I remember watching it. I
- 0:33Speaker 3: don't do that anymore. If anything, I know of these players,
- 0:37Speaker 3: and like I mentioned, a lot of them are really
- 0:39Speaker 3: really good and can make some big changes for a
- 0:41Speaker 3: lot of these organizations.
- 0:42Speaker 2: But no, I didn't sit there and marvel at it.
- 0:46Speaker 3: I understand it's a big moment for a lot of
- 0:48Speaker 3: these young men that are going to the next level.
- 0:50Speaker 3: But yeah, I'm yelling at the clouds. I'm good man,
- 0:53Speaker 3: I'll watch you summer League. Can't wait to see you
- 0:56Speaker 3: hoop and then making your roster and trying to make
- 0:58Speaker 3: your team better.
- 1:00Speaker 4: Could it be that you just don't know college players
- 1:01Speaker 4: anymore because they just come and leave it.
- 1:04Speaker 2: No, I know them. I know them.
- 1:05Speaker 3: I try to keep up as much as I can,
- 1:07Speaker 3: especially the top players. And I'm not gonna sit at
- 1:09Speaker 3: a NEC like I know all thirty that were drafted
- 1:11Speaker 3: last night.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I don't.
- 1:13Speaker 3: But there are you know, at least fifteen twenty that
- 1:16Speaker 3: I am familiar with that I'm like, Okay, yeah, I've
- 1:18Speaker 3: seen their game. Okay, this this should work out or
- 1:21Speaker 3: I don't think I like that big as much. But yeah,
- 1:23Speaker 3: I'm not as big as I was on it back
- 1:26Speaker 3: in the day.
- 1:28Speaker 4: On the show today, we're going to talk about a
- 1:29Speaker 4: little bit about the NBA because Tim Reynolds is the
- 1:32Speaker 4: NBA writer for the Associated Press. He's based in Miami,
- 1:35Speaker 4: where some sizeable happened this week. Gianni's got traded from
- 1:39Speaker 4: the Bucks to the Heat. We'll talk to Tim Reynolds
- 1:41Speaker 4: at eleven o'clock live on the Beacon Plumbing Hotline about that.
- 1:45Speaker 1: At ten twenty five.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Sitting right next to me, Mazvita and Mary Are He's
- 1:49Speaker 4: from Cascadia Sports Net. He's from Fox thirteen Television here
- 1:54Speaker 4: in Seattle. Their World Cup analyst he's going to talk
- 1:56Speaker 4: about the World Cup. We're gonna talk about the reason
- 1:58Speaker 4: Sounders man Christian were well Don should play for the
- 2:02Speaker 4: United States tomorrow night in a third group stage match
- 2:04Speaker 4: against Turkey for the first time this World Cup.
- 2:06Speaker 1: And we're gonna tell you the reason why he may
- 2:08Speaker 1: not play tomorrow night.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Again, more evidence on how wildly popular this World Cup
- 2:13Speaker 4: here is in Seattle. We'll talk about a little bit
- 2:17Speaker 4: about the Seahawks. They again, they're off until July twenty fifth.
- 2:22Speaker 4: I saw a video Leonard Williams posted this morning. Christal
- 2:25Speaker 4: if you saw it, he's deadlifting in bare feet, and
- 2:29Speaker 4: I put a little star next to it, and I'm
- 2:31Speaker 4: gonna ask him about it when we get back to
- 2:32Speaker 4: training camp about deadlifting. It looked like he was a
- 2:35Speaker 4: few LB's on that bar deadlifting in bare feet. I'm
- 2:39Speaker 4: something on the text line may tell me the benefits,
- 2:41Speaker 4: particularly deadlifting, I would think in bare feet as opposed
- 2:45Speaker 4: to shoes of any kind. But that's the sayings of
- 2:47Speaker 4: the season in the year I should say, the NFL
- 2:50Speaker 4: year that the players are in sure they get six
- 2:52Speaker 4: weeks off from the end of mini camp. The only
- 2:55Speaker 4: mandatory mini camp in mid June until the start of
- 2:57Speaker 4: training camp. But they aren't all just out on the
- 3:00Speaker 4: beach and hanging out and doing nothing.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I mentioned this before.
- 3:05Speaker 4: The training, strength and conditioning staff of all NFL teams
- 3:08Speaker 4: give players individual training programs to adhere to in the
- 3:12Speaker 4: six weeks that they're off and gone. Are the days
- 3:15Speaker 4: that dude just show up and they do a couple
- 3:17Speaker 4: mile run for a conditioning test the first couple of
- 3:19Speaker 4: days of training camp and if you don't pass, you
- 3:21Speaker 4: keep having to do it. These guys, all of them,
- 3:25Speaker 4: almost all of them have personal trainers, but the team
- 3:29Speaker 4: is really invested in their time away from the building
- 3:32Speaker 4: because there's so much time in the off season by
- 3:34Speaker 4: CBA now mandating that players are not there, and so
- 3:38Speaker 4: there's so much time that Seahawks don't have their hands
- 3:41Speaker 4: on these players in the off season by CBA rule
- 3:44Speaker 4: that they do prescribe training program for them. And let's
- 3:47Speaker 4: face it, right, Chris, a guy like Leonard Williams is
- 3:50Speaker 4: going to work out on his own anyway.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Yeah, this is a veteran that is excited, got a
- 3:57Speaker 3: super Bowl, looking to move forward with this new team.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Some of the players, coaching staff, and by the way,
- 4:05Speaker 3: in terms of barefoot, I'm not a big fan of it,
- 4:07Speaker 3: but better connection to the ground, so I've been told.
- 4:11Speaker 3: And also I know it has something to do with
- 4:12Speaker 3: the range of motion. Running shoes adds about an inch
- 4:16Speaker 3: or so, and then when you are taking off the shoes,
- 4:18Speaker 3: that means you're the bar has to travel a little
- 4:22Speaker 3: slightly less distance per se, which heavy dead lifts. That
- 4:26Speaker 3: makes it a more efficient lift. So grabbing the floor
- 4:30Speaker 3: with your feet and just having that base building that connection.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I'm sure Leonard can explain it way better than I
- 4:35Speaker 3: just did. But I think those those things are probably
- 4:37Speaker 3: why he's out there doing a barefoot, which you know,
- 4:40Speaker 3: he just his her own. I like having shoes on
- 4:42Speaker 3: my feets, but you know, big cat. You know that's
- 4:44Speaker 3: a big cat for a reason.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Okay, exactly, I think he knows what he's doing. But
- 4:47Speaker 4: four nighte four or five one? Do you live on
- 4:49Speaker 4: the Tacoma Dutch text like, do you lift in bare feet?
- 4:51Speaker 4: He wants the benefit of it if you do. I
- 4:54Speaker 4: flat shoes at least when I lift. Just to cat
- 4:57Speaker 4: knowing me, i'd drop a barbell or a.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Wait on, yeah, that's kind of where I'm like, damn
- 5:02Speaker 3: if I happened to drop this on my shoe. At
- 5:05Speaker 3: least you know there's some cushion. I don't have anything
- 5:08Speaker 3: on my feet. Oh that's going to be a busted
- 5:10Speaker 3: toe or worse. How about Cole Young last How cool
- 5:14Speaker 3: was that?
- 5:15Speaker 4: Could you imagine Chris coming back to a major league
- 5:18Speaker 4: say you were, I'm coming back to play for the Mariners,
- 5:21Speaker 4: and or even saying for the Pirates coming to Seattle
- 5:23Speaker 4: and you getting a home run in Seattle, having gone
- 5:25Speaker 4: to oday high school.
- 5:26Speaker 2: And your notches in the stands, I might cry.
- 5:29Speaker 1: That's what he did.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Last day was his first major League game in his hometown.
- 5:32Speaker 4: He grew up in Pittsburgh, North Allegany. I'm about forty
- 5:36Speaker 4: five minutes. I grew up forty five minutes away from there.
- 5:38Speaker 4: It's not far at all from downtown Pittsburgh. And he
- 5:41Speaker 4: grew up unlike earlier players who grew up watching the
- 5:43Speaker 4: Pirates in Three River Stadium, he grew up in that
- 5:45Speaker 4: PNC Park down by the river. And yeah, that's where
- 5:50Speaker 4: he went to watch ball games when he was becoming
- 5:53Speaker 4: a major league player. And to have his high school
- 5:55Speaker 4: coach there and the dugout and then Brad Adam and
- 5:58Speaker 4: the Mariners TV broadcast talked to him after the game,
- 6:01Speaker 4: and it just a dream come true moment.
- 6:04Speaker 1: It was funny.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Brad Adam ast him, was that the greater eight figure?
- 6:07Speaker 4: And the answer was yes. He said, is that the
- 6:09Speaker 4: greatest moment of your major league career? In Cole you
- 6:13Speaker 4: that's top three. He's only been in major leagues for
- 6:17Speaker 4: a year and a half or so, two years. He's
- 6:20Speaker 4: understating whether it's top three or not. Cole Young and
- 6:23Speaker 4: the Mariners playing Game two of that series in Pittsburgh tonight.
- 6:26Speaker 4: It's crazy, isn't it.
- 6:27Speaker 5: Chris.
- 6:28Speaker 1: All they gotta do is win two games, and they
- 6:29Speaker 1: gained two games in the standings.
- 6:31Speaker 2: You know, we've been biggering about it all seasons.
- 6:35Speaker 3: This AL West League or this aos is just not
- 6:39Speaker 3: that great. The Mariners are, but they haven't hit that stride.
- 6:42Speaker 3: But when they do, I think again they will open
- 6:45Speaker 3: up a nice lead. And back to Cole Young, he is,
- 6:47Speaker 3: I think emerging as a legitimate everyday player. He's twenty
- 6:50Speaker 3: two years old and he's just making clutch plays after
- 6:53Speaker 3: clutch plays, and he's looking really comfortable in those big moments,
- 6:57Speaker 3: and I think this is exactly what but the Mariners
- 7:01Speaker 3: saw when they took him, and he's actually he's proving that.
- 7:04Speaker 3: So it's really cool to see Cole Young go back
- 7:06Speaker 3: to his hometown have a blast doing sowing the first
- 7:09Speaker 3: game and hopefully that can continue.
- 7:11Speaker 4: I mean, he could make a case he's an all
- 7:13Speaker 4: star second basement in the America.
- 7:15Speaker 5: Wait, we.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Chase Jazz Chisholm. I mean, he'll get attention because he's
- 7:21Speaker 4: with the Yankees and he's got the pedigree. But yeah,
- 7:23Speaker 4: for my money, Cole Young is the MVP. He's played
- 7:26Speaker 4: in every game. He's the only Mariner to play in
- 7:28Speaker 4: every game, and his fielding almost flawless at second base.
- 7:33Speaker 4: I think of the play he made on a tag
- 7:35Speaker 4: while grabbing the ball and tagging the runner between first
- 7:38Speaker 4: and second in one motion and then through the first
- 7:39Speaker 4: for a double play.
- 7:41Speaker 1: We could grow up.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Came up as a shortstop as a lot of top
- 7:44Speaker 4: baseball prospects do move to second base to make room
- 7:47Speaker 4: for eventually cold Emerson. And now we saw last night
- 7:50Speaker 4: a couple of double plays with that tandem. That's your
- 7:53Speaker 4: middle of your infield, your second basement shortstop. Are your
- 7:56Speaker 4: dudes of the future. Twenty two and twenty years old. Way,
- 8:00Speaker 4: no one's paying attention to it. But cold Emerson grew
- 8:02Speaker 4: up in Zanesville, Ohio, which is not that far west
- 8:05Speaker 4: of Pittsburgh. James was about an hour on the other
- 8:07Speaker 4: side of where I grew up, and so it's something
- 8:10Speaker 4: of a homecoming for him. I'm sure he had people
- 8:12Speaker 4: in the yard last night for his major first Major
- 8:15Speaker 4: League game in Pittsburgh, pretty close to where he grew
- 8:18Speaker 4: up in Zanesville, Ohio. But homecoming for the young kids
- 8:21Speaker 4: in the middle of the Mariners infield last night. The
- 8:24Speaker 4: World Cup for the US team again tomorrow's match against
- 8:27Speaker 4: Turkey at seven pm. It really doesn't mean anything because
- 8:32Speaker 4: it's standings wise. They're already advanced to their round of
- 8:34Speaker 4: thirty two by virtue of winning their first two matches,
- 8:36Speaker 4: including that two zero win here against Australia on that
- 8:39Speaker 4: wild scene Friday at Lubinfield. But tomorrow they're playing basically
- 8:44Speaker 4: to stay sharp before July first, when they play the
- 8:47Speaker 4: knockout stage around to thirty two against a third place team,
- 8:50Speaker 4: so they will have a favorable seeding. Now, of course,
- 8:53Speaker 4: tomorrow's win if they could be three to zero in
- 8:55Speaker 4: the group, if they would beat Turkey. That would give
- 8:57Speaker 4: them a game against an even weaker third place team
- 9:00Speaker 4: in the standings, as they slot top teams against weaker teams.
- 9:05Speaker 4: If bears repeating, if the United States wins tomorrow, they
- 9:09Speaker 4: will play July six back here in Seattle for a
- 9:12Speaker 4: round of sixteen and a berth in the quarterfinals. How
- 9:15Speaker 4: often does that happen. It's happened once. They have won
- 9:18Speaker 4: a knockout stage match in the modern World Cup. Of course,
- 9:20Speaker 4: they finished third in the very first World Cup in
- 9:23Speaker 4: nineteen thirty where I think there were eight teams in
- 9:24Speaker 4: the tournament. Other than that, they've only won time two
- 9:28Speaker 4: thousand and two gone past the quarterfinal round.
- 9:31Speaker 1: And that's what.
- 9:32Speaker 4: If they win their match July first, down in Santa
- 9:34Speaker 4: Claire in the round of thirty two, the United States
- 9:36Speaker 4: men's team will have a chance at a quarterfinal. They
- 9:40Speaker 4: will be playing for birth in the quarterfinals. On July sixth,
- 9:43Speaker 4: They'll be playing back in Seattle in the round of sixteen,
- 9:47Speaker 4: potentially against Belgium, potentially against some other teams that depending
- 9:51Speaker 4: on how who finishes first in a group Egypt potentially.
- 9:55Speaker 4: The fourth group stage match in Seattle is Friday nights.
- 9:58Speaker 4: The only night of the four state's matches here in
- 10:00Speaker 4: Seattle Lumenfield, and that is essentially an elimination game Egypt
- 10:05Speaker 4: against Iran. The winner will advance, the loser will win
- 10:08Speaker 4: the group, most likely depending on what Belgium does in
- 10:11Speaker 4: its match the same time. But that's potentially an elimination
- 10:16Speaker 4: match of win or go home for Egypt in Iran.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Tickets are more expensive in the secondary market for that
- 10:22Speaker 4: game than for today's Bosnia hers Gavina Katar game. Qatar
- 10:26Speaker 4: is basically out of advancing. I think they are eliminated,
- 10:28Speaker 4: if not close to it, and Bosnia hears A Govina
- 10:31Speaker 4: can advance and move up in the standings with a
- 10:34Speaker 4: win today.
- 10:35Speaker 1: That's what it's taken.
- 10:35Speaker 4: Noon at Lumenfield for the US team, Tyler Adams, the
- 10:40Speaker 4: critical guy in the middle of the field, said he
- 10:41Speaker 4: intends to play Thursday for the Americans against Turkey.
- 10:44Speaker 1: He's on a yellow card.
- 10:45Speaker 4: We talked with Nico Moreno of Sounder Hart and MLS
- 10:49Speaker 4: Espanol and Fox thirteen Seattle a couple days ago on
- 10:52Speaker 4: the show about he says Tyler Adams he wouldn't play him.
- 10:55Speaker 4: Told us that on Monday to avoid the risk of
- 10:59Speaker 4: yellow card to a Q relation to him being suspended
- 11:01Speaker 4: for the round of thirty two match. The guy on
- 11:04Speaker 4: the US roster, Chris, that is most likely and makes
- 11:07Speaker 4: most sense to replace Tyler Adams if you hold him
- 11:10Speaker 4: out for the yellow cards is Christian Roldan. But Christian
- 11:13Speaker 4: Rodan got injured in training last week when the team
- 11:16Speaker 4: got back from Seattle to their training base in Ermine.
- 11:20Speaker 4: He's got a muscle strain. Our man Masvida Marrieire was
- 11:23Speaker 4: probably on the call yesterday. I think he was on
- 11:24Speaker 4: the call yesterday. He had a teleconference with the Seattle
- 11:27Speaker 4: area meeter. Christian Roldan did. Roddan said he's intending the
- 11:31Speaker 4: play are going to attempt to play, but he's not
- 11:33Speaker 4: sure what the injury status is going to be. Probably
- 11:36Speaker 4: not even sure what the US coaches plans for him is.
- 11:38Speaker 4: But if roll Don is healthy, you would figure he
- 11:41Speaker 4: plays for Tyler Adams tomorrow, so Adams doesn't risk not
- 11:45Speaker 4: being able to play at all in the match that
- 11:46Speaker 4: matters the round to thirty two on July first, and
- 11:51Speaker 4: Sound Transit yesterday, speaking of how popular this World Cup
- 11:55Speaker 4: is in Seattle, Sound Transit, Chris said that two hundred
- 11:59Speaker 4: and eighty thousand riders were on Seattle's Link light rail
- 12:02Speaker 4: system on Friday when the US played Australia here downtown,
- 12:07Speaker 4: by far a single day record before I think it
- 12:09Speaker 4: was two thirty six who thirty six thousand previous record.
- 12:12Speaker 4: I told my wife this last night, and she said,
- 12:15Speaker 4: how many of those two hundred and eighty thousand riders paid?
- 12:18Speaker 4: That's some treads. That's a problem with paying without turnstiles.
- 12:22Speaker 4: But more than a quarter a million people were riding
- 12:27Speaker 4: the light rail on Friday, probably around two hundred thousand
- 12:31Speaker 4: or more coming down here to the stadium district to
- 12:33Speaker 4: watch the game. And I know Chris wants to be
- 12:36Speaker 4: nothing near this place and no thanks, but everybody else
- 12:39Speaker 4: quarter million people disagree with you, Chris.
- 12:42Speaker 2: I ain'tnna argue with him.
- 12:43Speaker 3: But those quarter million, how many of them are actually
- 12:45Speaker 3: soccer fans? Maybe half of them.
- 12:49Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe a little more than that, or maybe they're
- 12:51Speaker 4: just here for the scene. That's true, just down here.
- 12:53Speaker 4: For the quarter million people weren't in the yard for
- 12:55Speaker 4: the game on Friday, that would be mess seven thousand, Yeah.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Sixty seven thousand were.
- 13:01Speaker 4: But yeah, there probably there are a lot of people
- 13:04Speaker 4: down here who don't go in and the three matches
- 13:06Speaker 4: I've been to outside the yard, people stay outside once
- 13:09Speaker 4: the game starts and they go to the bars and
- 13:11Speaker 4: the Illegiant that's right across the street, or Victory Hall,
- 13:14Speaker 4: it's across First Avenue. And by the way, I walked
- 13:17Speaker 4: by Victory Hall to get in there to Jimmy's, there
- 13:20Speaker 4: are nearly the people in there that there were when
- 13:22Speaker 4: the Australians.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Let me, can I get my pet peeve off real quick?
- 13:26Speaker 1: Yes? Please do so.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Well, it's not a pet Peeves. I just find it odd.
- 13:30Speaker 3: So I went to a Mariner's game out of college.
- 13:34Speaker 3: My home was like, yeah, let's go to the Mariners game.
- 13:37Speaker 3: And I'm thinking we're gonna watch the game. When I
- 13:39Speaker 3: tell you we just went to the beer garden and
- 13:41Speaker 3: we just chop it up with ladies. I was very confused.
- 13:44Speaker 3: I was like, I paid you know, X amount of
- 13:47Speaker 3: dollars to come in there and talk to people. I
- 13:50Speaker 3: was like, what, I thought we were watching the game, Like, oh, yeah, well,
- 13:53Speaker 3: we won't watch I'm like, it's the seventh inning, guys,
- 13:55Speaker 3: we have we haven't watched anything we've been in the
- 13:57Speaker 3: beer garden.
- 13:58Speaker 2: So that was kind of my like a moment.
- 14:00Speaker 3: If you're gonna go to a Mariner's game with your friends,
- 14:03Speaker 3: you better hope your friends are actually interested in baseball.
- 14:06Speaker 3: And I found out that they were interested in other activities,
- 14:09Speaker 3: which time I'm mad at.
- 14:10Speaker 1: But it depends how old they are, right, I mean
- 14:12Speaker 1: in the mid twenties, that's.
- 14:15Speaker 4: You will watch the game. Yes, time has changed. I've
- 14:19Speaker 4: walked through the bier garden and gun, yep, this isn't
- 14:21Speaker 4: my scene. This isn't nobody wouldn't be in here. All
- 14:24Speaker 4: twenty postgraduates or college kids out there, But that is
- 14:27Speaker 4: a very popular part of Mariner's home games. And go
- 14:30Speaker 4: out to the beer ground if you haven't done it.
- 14:31Speaker 4: It's just beyond the left center field fence and most
- 14:33Speaker 4: of you listening probably know and familiar with it. But yeah,
- 14:36Speaker 4: especially Friday Saturday nights, that is the college domain. I
- 14:40Speaker 4: might as well hang pennants from the wall out there
- 14:42Speaker 4: in left center field. There's so many college kids out
- 14:45Speaker 4: there coming up. I met Jimmy's on first right, across
- 14:48Speaker 4: the street from Womenfield. Why am I here because Bosnia,
- 14:50Speaker 4: hers Gavina and Qatar are playing the third of six
- 14:53Speaker 4: matches here at the World Cup starting at noon today.
- 14:57Speaker 4: The final group stage, third and final groups stay matches
- 15:00Speaker 4: have begun their simultaneous games going on. Switzerland and Canada
- 15:04Speaker 4: are going to be playing in Vancouver. The other two
- 15:06Speaker 4: teams in this group, opposite of Bosni and Qatar, They're
- 15:10Speaker 4: playing at noon in Vancouver at the same time Bosnania
- 15:12Speaker 4: Here's gonna be A and Cutter are going to play
- 15:14Speaker 4: here in Lumenfield. Mas Vita mary Are. He is from
- 15:17Speaker 4: Cascadia sports Net, Fox thirteen, Seattle's television's World Cup analyst.
- 15:22Speaker 4: He joins us next attack all things World Cup, including
- 15:25Speaker 4: what do you learned from Christian Roldan talking to him yesterday?
- 15:27Speaker 4: That's next on ninety three point three KJRFM.
- 15:30Speaker 6: Now back to Greg bell and Christopher Kidd on your
- 15:34Speaker 6: Home for the Huskies, Kracket and the twelfth Man Sports
- 15:37Speaker 6: Radio ninety three point three kjr FM.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Hi, Welcome back, Greg Beller News Tribute Christopher Knd live
- 16:23Speaker 4: with you on.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Ninety three point three KGRFM. As we are every ten
- 16:26Speaker 1: ams at noon every weekday.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Masveta mary Ara, Cascading Sports Net, Fox thirteen, Seattle big
- 16:33Speaker 4: Shot television World Cup analyst is joining us. Next to
- 16:37Speaker 4: me here at Jimmy's on for fewer people than in
- 16:39Speaker 4: the US Australia match.
- 16:41Speaker 1: I think I think that's safe to say. Oz So.
- 16:46Speaker 4: Masvita was talking to me about the importance of this
- 16:48Speaker 4: game and the fact that the United States is likely
- 16:53Speaker 4: to play the winner of Cutter and Bosnia Herzgovina noon
- 16:56Speaker 4: here at Woomenfield.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Is that right mazing?
- 17:04Speaker 4: We'll get him connected here remotely in a second, right.
- 17:10Speaker 5: Now, Yeah, there you go.
- 17:12Speaker 4: Thanks, Masvia tell us about the importance of this match
- 17:16Speaker 4: for the United States.
- 17:17Speaker 7: Well, the say thank you for having me all so
- 17:19Speaker 7: it's a pleasure Chris and everybody else KG appreciated. Uh yeah,
- 17:23Speaker 7: the winner of this game would be the United States
- 17:27Speaker 7: opponent in San Francisco, and so the US has got
- 17:32Speaker 7: you know, I'm sure that they're intentally watching this game
- 17:36Speaker 7: and scouting and things like that. And it's because the
- 17:41Speaker 7: winner of the United States group then what's slated to play,
- 17:45Speaker 7: is slated to play the third place team here.
- 17:48Speaker 4: And a winner of this Bosnia Herzgovina Cutter match, we'll
- 17:51Speaker 4: finish third in Group B. Now, a tie in this
- 17:54Speaker 4: match today another draw which both teams have had to
- 17:57Speaker 4: draw so far in this Tournamentsvine drew with Canada to
- 18:01Speaker 4: begin the tournament one to one. A draw today could
- 18:05Speaker 4: potentially have him play What other teams could the US play?
- 18:08Speaker 7: Yeah, it gets complicated, right because then you start looking
- 18:11Speaker 7: at you know, the Senegal is one of the teams
- 18:14Speaker 7: that play, so it would it gets complicated if this
- 18:16Speaker 7: is a draw here in terms of the US.
- 18:20Speaker 4: You talked to Christian Roaldin yesterday. He talked to the
- 18:22Speaker 4: Sounders media from Irvine in the US training center. First
- 18:26Speaker 4: of all, update the listeners on what his injury status is.
- 18:29Speaker 4: He got hurt training last weekend?
- 18:30Speaker 1: Is that right?
- 18:31Speaker 5: Yeah? How unfortunate.
- 18:33Speaker 7: So second to the last kick practice at the U
- 18:37Speaker 7: dub right.
- 18:38Speaker 4: Oh, is that the before the day before the match exactly,
- 18:41Speaker 4: that's why he didn't get something.
- 18:43Speaker 5: That's exactly why he didn't.
- 18:45Speaker 7: He said he felt some tightness in his leg and
- 18:48Speaker 7: then they just decided to uh, precautionary and wait it out.
- 18:53Speaker 1: I see.
- 18:54Speaker 4: So, And he didn't divulge us in the mix oone
- 18:56Speaker 4: with US after the match because he didn't the team
- 18:59Speaker 4: hadn't or it just divults that. But it was peculiar
- 19:04Speaker 4: that when they made two substitutions very late in the
- 19:06Speaker 4: match about ninety seconds before the final whistle. One of
- 19:08Speaker 4: them wasn't Christian roll Don, who would have gotten a
- 19:10Speaker 4: huge ovation. But now we know why a muscle strain.
- 19:13Speaker 4: We know what it is, hamstring leg.
- 19:16Speaker 7: No, no, he did as far as yesterday was not devolved.
- 19:19Speaker 7: Didn't go exactly whether you write the hamstring, the quad
- 19:22Speaker 7: or anything like that.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Well, this would be the match that Christian roll Don
- 19:25Speaker 4: would play, right because the United States has already advanced.
- 19:28Speaker 4: As we said, Tyler Adams is at some risk of
- 19:32Speaker 4: yellow card accumulation. How the rules work is he's on
- 19:35Speaker 4: a yellow card. He's had a yellow card through two matches.
- 19:38Speaker 4: If you have two yellow cards during the group stage matches,
- 19:41Speaker 4: you are then ineligible to play in the round of
- 19:44Speaker 4: thirty two match. Then a round of thirty two the
- 19:47Speaker 4: yellow cards white clean and you start over. But tomorrow's match,
- 19:51Speaker 4: if Tyler Adams a central figure to their team literally
- 19:54Speaker 4: and figuratively in the midfield, if he gets a yellow
- 19:59Speaker 4: card tomorrow against Turkey, he will not play in the
- 20:01Speaker 4: round of thirty two match. And if a US team
- 20:03Speaker 4: has already advanced, wouldn't you sit Timer Adams and then
- 20:07Speaker 4: Christian Willdon on the roster seems to be the most
- 20:09Speaker 4: logical guy to play for him.
- 20:11Speaker 5: Absolutely. I mean Adams is another one.
- 20:14Speaker 7: I mean he's the reason why they're similar, like for light,
- 20:18Speaker 7: is because their ability to be able to kind of
- 20:20Speaker 7: control the midfield. And as Christian Rodan's talked about this,
- 20:23Speaker 7: he's like an air traffic controller, right, So he's absolutely
- 20:26Speaker 7: marshaling do on offense and then on defense as well.
- 20:30Speaker 7: And that's what makes Adams special. He can see the
- 20:33Speaker 7: play on transition as you're going down, and then he
- 20:37Speaker 7: comes back on defense and is able to push in
- 20:42Speaker 7: your backs you wing back, so he's able to kind
- 20:44Speaker 7: of get Antonio Robinson back, who also has a yellow
- 20:47Speaker 7: and then so Gino desk as well to have him
- 20:49Speaker 7: pinched in as they're coming back on defense. So very
- 20:54Speaker 7: important player in there. And we see Christian Rodan same
- 20:58Speaker 7: role with the Sounder, and that's why he's so valuable
- 21:03Speaker 7: to the Sounders and also to the United States the
- 21:06Speaker 7: national team.
- 21:07Speaker 4: If you were Pochettino, of course you wouldn't be sitting
- 21:10Speaker 4: next to me right now. But if you were Pochettino
- 21:13Speaker 4: the coach of the United States, would you play your
- 21:15Speaker 4: regular guys and keep the momentum that is obviously built
- 21:18Speaker 4: up through the first two matches going or would you
- 21:20Speaker 4: rest guys and use tomorrow as more of a tune
- 21:23Speaker 4: up and get the guys that maybe are nicked up
- 21:26Speaker 4: Polistic for instance, coming off the strain, you don't even
- 21:29Speaker 4: think of playing him? Or do you put him back
- 21:31Speaker 4: in so he has at least got time on the
- 21:33Speaker 4: field before the games the knockout stage begins.
- 21:36Speaker 7: And I asked Christiano Dan that question yesterday and no,
- 21:39Speaker 7: critical is momentum and he said it's important, and so
- 21:44Speaker 7: it's real critical to keep the momentum. And now what
- 21:48Speaker 7: he's got to figure out is which of the players
- 21:50Speaker 7: that you know he can put in there and continent
- 21:55Speaker 7: and be competitive. And also so look, do you do
- 22:01Speaker 7: you sit Bologna who's got a Bologna who's got a
- 22:04Speaker 7: yellow card? Probably not, I just think it depends on
- 22:08Speaker 7: the player. But Adams you would probably say no, let
- 22:11Speaker 7: me sit Adams. And then you've got an Tonio Robinson
- 22:14Speaker 7: as well. So it's important that you give your best
- 22:18Speaker 7: players out there right for you to win, keep the
- 22:21Speaker 7: momentum without it actually hindering your next game thereby getting
- 22:29Speaker 7: a yellow card. So great part of this As a coach, right,
- 22:32Speaker 7: you gotta know your players. You gotta know which of
- 22:35Speaker 7: my players, you know, if they get edged on, would
- 22:39Speaker 7: cross that line. In which of my players are more
- 22:43Speaker 7: likely not going to Are they gonna put both feet
- 22:46Speaker 7: on the ground, both cleats on the ground, if you will,
- 22:49Speaker 7: and not going recklessly.
- 22:51Speaker 4: My soccer guy, resident soccer guy in my house, Eric
- 22:54Speaker 4: Bell college soccer player, told me at the start of
- 22:57Speaker 4: the tournament he thought Turkey was gonna beat the United
- 22:59Speaker 4: States and that would be the one loss for the
- 23:01Speaker 4: US in the group stage. He thinks they are really talented.
- 23:04Speaker 4: Turkey's been one of the most disappointing teams in this
- 23:07Speaker 4: tournament through two matches. How dangerous do you think this
- 23:10Speaker 4: foe is Tomorrow?
- 23:14Speaker 7: They get up and down the field and so they
- 23:18Speaker 7: have nothing to you know, to lose. I think they
- 23:23Speaker 7: will try to attack the United States with the speed
- 23:26Speaker 7: because the US obviously we know they're going to be
- 23:28Speaker 7: pressing and things like that. So how do you beat that?
- 23:32Speaker 7: You're patient and then, as we all know in any sport,
- 23:35Speaker 7: you're going to minimize your self inflicted with the turnovers
- 23:40Speaker 7: if you will, you know, and if you get pressed
- 23:42Speaker 7: in your deep end right next to your goal. Kick
- 23:46Speaker 7: the ball down there, so I give him a fighters
- 23:50Speaker 7: chance on it.
- 23:53Speaker 1: We've talked about in the past.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Mosia Mary Area of Cascadia sports Net, Seattle born race.
- 23:57Speaker 4: He's Seattle guy, Roosevelt high school player, soccer player. He's
- 24:01Speaker 4: still in the sport coaching at the middle school level
- 24:04Speaker 4: here in Seattle. What has this tournament done for the
- 24:07Speaker 4: Pacific Northwest that was already a soccer hotbed, but now
- 24:11Speaker 4: nationally and internationally Seattle is known as the best venue
- 24:15Speaker 4: of all the group stage venues in across Canada, the
- 24:18Speaker 4: United States and Mexico. What does this fervor surprise you?
- 24:23Speaker 4: The reaction in the popularity of this tournament here in
- 24:25Speaker 4: Seattle so far surprise you?
- 24:27Speaker 1: And what has it done for the region?
- 24:30Speaker 5: I'm not surprised.
- 24:32Speaker 7: Remember we had Brian Schmetzer when I was here on
- 24:34Speaker 7: there and you know, a local guy as well, and
- 24:36Speaker 7: he talked about it's well known right internally, everybody knows
- 24:41Speaker 7: about the fabric. You know how strong the fabric is
- 24:46Speaker 7: and the cultural and depth of soccer has been in
- 24:49Speaker 7: different communities.
- 24:51Speaker 5: The credit the.
- 24:52Speaker 7: Local organizing committee in terms of getting it right, and
- 24:56Speaker 7: that is the logistics, the transportation, all those kinds of things.
- 25:00Speaker 5: You add that.
- 25:01Speaker 7: And then the fans that came in from the different countries.
- 25:06Speaker 7: I think this is really why now on a national
- 25:10Speaker 7: international stage, this World Cup, everybody's seeing something that people
- 25:15Speaker 7: already knew, you know, and so but it took all
- 25:19Speaker 7: those pieces, you know, all the stars had to align,
- 25:23Speaker 7: a lot of hard work as at a local organized committee.
- 25:25Speaker 7: I think the city of Seattle in terms of all there,
- 25:28Speaker 7: you know, there's a lot of work that goes into this,
- 25:30Speaker 7: right you and I knew that we can see the
- 25:32Speaker 7: fire truck right over there, but then the fans come in.
- 25:35Speaker 7: The fan experience has just been phenomenal, and we saw that,
- 25:39Speaker 7: you know what, we're seeing that in terms of the
- 25:41Speaker 7: watch parties, whether they're local or whether they down there
- 25:43Speaker 7: on the pier, on the barge. There's even some in
- 25:47Speaker 7: Everett and also renting. So all of that has now
- 25:52Speaker 7: people understanding, wow, this is an international soccer city.
- 25:57Speaker 4: The other thing that makes Seattle unique and bad And
- 26:00Speaker 4: I talked to a soccer writer coming out of the
- 26:02Speaker 4: stadium Friday afternoon from New York City. Seattle's stadium is downtown.
- 26:08Speaker 4: It's not in the metal Lands. It's not in Arlington, Texas.
- 26:11Speaker 4: It's not in the Houston suburbs out by Astrodome and
- 26:14Speaker 4: at Strip Mall. It's not in I mean Vancouver and
- 26:18Speaker 4: Seattle are the two stadiums, including Guadalhara, including Mexico City,
- 26:22Speaker 4: which is on the outskirts of downtown. Seattle and Vancouver
- 26:26Speaker 4: the two that are in the center, downtown core where
- 26:28Speaker 4: you can take light rail and transit and you can
- 26:31Speaker 4: walk to the games and there's watch parties walkable from
- 26:34Speaker 4: the stadiums. No other venue has that. In fact, Moz
- 26:38Speaker 4: the New York writer, I was walking, I always said
- 26:40Speaker 4: the World Cup Finals should have been here and not
- 26:42Speaker 4: the Metal Lands because of the stadium set up. In
- 26:44Speaker 4: the fan interaction, what have you noticed about that, just
- 26:48Speaker 4: the whole setting and venue and how Lumenfield is perfectly
- 26:52Speaker 4: suited for this kind of thing.
- 26:54Speaker 5: Two things, right, Lumenfield interior absolutely.
- 26:57Speaker 7: I think where the United States is going into play
- 27:00Speaker 7: around or thirteen is in San Francisco, right, And you
- 27:03Speaker 7: and I travel when we when the Seahawks, you know,
- 27:06Speaker 7: play the Niners were for the Super Bowl. But given
- 27:10Speaker 7: to what you're saying, right, how hard it's so difficult
- 27:13Speaker 7: to get to Levi Stadium right right in and out.
- 27:17Speaker 1: It's an hour from downtown.
- 27:18Speaker 7: And it's like it's almost an industrial area except for
- 27:22Speaker 7: a couple of hotels that are there. And I'm not
- 27:23Speaker 7: bashing lev Stadium, but but it's the fact. But here,
- 27:28Speaker 7: I mean, Seattle stuck with that. Hey, let's build everything
- 27:32Speaker 7: downtown since the Kingdom didn't move it. I mean to
- 27:34Speaker 7: our left right there, t Mobile Park, and then this
- 27:37Speaker 7: place Jimmy's right. It's all kind of a classic. You
- 27:41Speaker 7: come downtown and there's so many different places for you
- 27:45Speaker 7: to enjoy the experience, whether you're going in the event
- 27:48Speaker 7: or whether they're just around for the event. And that's
- 27:51Speaker 7: I think this event actually not you know, maybe Seattle
- 27:55Speaker 7: now says, hey can we host a super Bowl?
- 27:57Speaker 1: Hey?
- 27:58Speaker 5: One are the big events?
- 27:59Speaker 1: You know?
- 28:00Speaker 5: This is showcasing what Seattle could do.
- 28:02Speaker 4: Yeah, the national international prominence for Seattle, the suitability for
- 28:07Speaker 4: big events just went way up here in the last
- 28:09Speaker 4: couple of weeks.
- 28:10Speaker 1: OZ enjoy the match.
- 28:11Speaker 4: I know you're headed in the cover Bosnie Hears and
- 28:14Speaker 4: Cutter at noon start third of the six matches here
- 28:17Speaker 4: and see how thanks for joining us again.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I appreciate you.
- 28:20Speaker 5: Thanks for having me mas Vita.
- 28:21Speaker 4: Marry Are of Cascadia Sports net Box thirteen, Seattle's World
- 28:25Speaker 4: Cup television analyst talking about the World Cup. Up next,
- 28:29Speaker 4: we're gonna turn our attention to the NBA. We're going
- 28:31Speaker 4: to talk about the Yannis trade to Miami, the fallout.
- 28:34Speaker 4: Are more big trades coming. The draft continues with round
- 28:38Speaker 4: two today at eleven o'clock. Tim Reynolds, the NBA writer
- 28:42Speaker 4: for the Associated Pressers based in Miami, is gonna have
- 28:45Speaker 4: a lot to say to us about the Yanna's trade
- 28:47Speaker 4: of the heat. Pat Riley making the huge mega trade.
- 28:51Speaker 4: NBA Up next, Mariners and Pirates three point fifty three
- 28:54Speaker 4: forty first pitch for the second game of that series
- 28:56Speaker 4: today and Bosn and Hers goal being a cutter. Noon
- 28:59Speaker 4: kickoff Here across the street from Jimmy's on ninety three
- 29:02Speaker 4: point three kJ RFM. Welcome back the jazz portion of
- 29:12Speaker 4: the Greg Bell Show with Christopher Kidd by from Jimmy's
- 29:15Speaker 4: on First across the street from lumen Field.
- 29:17Speaker 1: We're at twelve noon.
- 29:19Speaker 4: Bosnia Hersgovina cutter play in the final group stage match,
- 29:23Speaker 4: Group B match as mas Vita mar Ari our guest
- 29:27Speaker 4: from Cascadia Sports Net and Fox thirteen Seattle just told
- 29:30Speaker 4: us the winner of this match, if there is a
- 29:32Speaker 4: winner and rather than a draw, the winner of Bosnia
- 29:34Speaker 4: versus Cutter will play the United States in the Round
- 29:37Speaker 4: of thirty two July first in Santa Clara. The winner
- 29:41Speaker 4: that will play in lumen Field on July sixth, five
- 29:45Speaker 4: pm in the knockout Stags. There's a Round of thirty
- 29:48Speaker 4: two match here in Seattle on July the first, and
- 29:51Speaker 4: there's a Round of sixteen match at Lumenfield on July
- 29:55Speaker 4: the sixth that if the United States keeps winning, that's
- 29:57Speaker 4: where the US will play. They'll be back prize what
- 30:01Speaker 4: they had to us Friday here downtown when the US
- 30:04Speaker 4: beat Australia in that wild scene. Another hot day to
- 30:07Speaker 4: dam Seattle, supposed to be eighty six degrees by the
- 30:10Speaker 4: end of the match, and another warm day like it
- 30:13Speaker 4: was for the United States and Australia in the first
- 30:14Speaker 4: match in Egypt against Belgium in the very first match
- 30:19Speaker 4: of the Seattle World Cup set the beginning of last week,
- 30:23Speaker 4: I'll swear in sports, the biggest news of the week,
- 30:25Speaker 4: probably in sports, was the trade of two time NBA
- 30:29Speaker 4: Most Valuable Player Finals MVP Giannis ante Tekempo from the
- 30:33Speaker 4: Milwaukee Bucks to the Miami Heat for four players, one
- 30:38Speaker 4: of him is an All Star, three first round draft picks,
- 30:42Speaker 4: one of them being the thirteenth pick in yesterday's draft,
- 30:45Speaker 4: and a second round pick.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Chris.
- 30:47Speaker 4: We talked about this when it happened, But you think
- 30:49Speaker 4: this is a good deal from Miami, and it's pat
- 30:51Speaker 4: Riley just going out and going forward. Instead of having
- 30:54Speaker 4: a middling team that was an eight or nine or
- 30:56Speaker 4: ten seed playing playing games.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Correct, no died.
- 30:59Speaker 3: This is an opportunity for them to have a megastar
- 31:02Speaker 3: that can not carry them, but can propel them to
- 31:05Speaker 3: a conference finals. And you pair them with bam Adebayo,
- 31:08Speaker 3: who is one of the best defensive power forward centers
- 31:11Speaker 3: in the league now with Giannis when he's healthy. We
- 31:14Speaker 3: know he's the former defensive Player of the Year. He
- 31:17Speaker 3: might not be at that level anymore, but damn he
- 31:19Speaker 3: sure is still good enough to go out there and
- 31:21Speaker 3: slow some guys down. So when you pair those two guys,
- 31:24Speaker 3: that could be a really powerful duo defensively and then offensively,
- 31:29Speaker 3: we know what they can do as well. So it's
- 31:31Speaker 3: a move that Riley was like you know what, I'm
- 31:33Speaker 3: tired of being in that middle pack. I want to
- 31:36Speaker 3: get out of not making the playoff or being a
- 31:38Speaker 3: playing team. And this is a move you go ahead
- 31:41Speaker 3: and make. And Giannis is definitely capable when healthy, of
- 31:44Speaker 3: being a top five player in this league. Just remember
- 31:49Speaker 3: he was bawling before he went out with his injury
- 31:52Speaker 3: and he didn't play another game I think until March,
- 31:55Speaker 3: and then he was done for the year after that.
- 31:57Speaker 3: So this is a really good opera tuning for the
- 32:00Speaker 3: Miami Heat to just get back to some playoff basketball
- 32:03Speaker 3: where it matters. Now, Oh yeah, you're in the play
- 32:05Speaker 3: in you gotta win one game and you get a chance.
- 32:07Speaker 3: No no, no, this opportunity for them to make a
- 32:10Speaker 3: run in the East. And you got the Knicks, you
- 32:12Speaker 3: got the Pacers coming back, got the Boston Celtics, you
- 32:15Speaker 3: got some team Detroit Pistons. This is going to be
- 32:17Speaker 3: another competitive Eastern Conference and it'll be cool to see
- 32:21Speaker 3: where Miami Heat shape up.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Four nine four five one on the TACOVIDATCS tech signe.
- 32:27Speaker 1: Does this matter to you?
- 32:29Speaker 4: Are you an NBA fan enough to pay attention to
- 32:31Speaker 4: Yannis going from Milwaukee to Miami. Are you still turned
- 32:35Speaker 4: off by what happened that the Sonics, that you want
- 32:37Speaker 4: nothing to do with the NBA.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Or you starting That's what you're going to see on
- 32:42Speaker 2: the text line.
- 32:42Speaker 4: I know some, but there are people that are warming
- 32:45Speaker 4: up now that the NBA the vote is supposed to happen.
- 32:48Speaker 4: We'll see nobody trusts the NBA and Commissioner Adam Silver,
- 32:52Speaker 4: but the vote is supposed to occur this fall, by
- 32:55Speaker 4: this fall at least, and they'll be perhaps an update
- 32:58Speaker 4: next month when the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas
- 33:01Speaker 4: convenes in Las Vegas this week announcing that the NHL ownership,
- 33:06Speaker 4: including the a West Point graduate of the Golden that
- 33:09Speaker 4: runs the Golden Knights, are interested in buying the NBA team,
- 33:12Speaker 4: which parallel it's a parallel track to here in Seattle,
- 33:15Speaker 4: where Samantha Holloway has recruited Melinda French Gates to be
- 33:21Speaker 4: a part of the investment team for One Roof Sports
- 33:23Speaker 4: and Entertainment, which owned the Crack and are going to
- 33:25Speaker 4: make the bid for the Sonics to play in the
- 33:28Speaker 4: arena that One Sports Roof and Entertainment own. It's a
- 33:31Speaker 4: similar track in Las Vegas, where the NHL team owners
- 33:34Speaker 4: are starting to make overtures to being the bidders on
- 33:38Speaker 4: the new expansion team that's slated, scheduled to be expected
- 33:42Speaker 4: to be approved of come in with Seattle this fall.
- 33:45Speaker 4: So all of that being said, four nine, four to
- 33:47Speaker 4: five one in the coming Dutch TECHSGN, are you more
- 33:50Speaker 4: aware and paying attention to NBA news like a Giannis?
- 33:53Speaker 4: Because let's face it, if the NBA starts back up
- 33:55Speaker 4: here in the say the fall of twenty twenty eight,
- 33:58Speaker 4: Jannis as a Miami Heat player, we'll play in climate
- 34:01Speaker 4: Pledge Arena against the reborn Sonics. So does that make
- 34:05Speaker 4: you more interested in NBA news? Are you still turned
- 34:08Speaker 4: off and believe it when you see it that the
- 34:10Speaker 4: vote comes on getting the Sonics back to Seattle? Are you?
- 34:13Speaker 1: Are you a believer that this is happening? Chris?
- 34:17Speaker 4: I can't believe at this point, if they've gone this
- 34:18Speaker 4: far down the line that they won't have a team.
- 34:21Speaker 4: The vote and when it comes has become excruciating and
- 34:24Speaker 4: a lot of starts and stops.
- 34:25Speaker 2: But I can't imagine, especially with Gates the Gates.
- 34:32Speaker 4: Name and Melinda Gates joining an investment group to make
- 34:35Speaker 4: a bid on the Sonics, the Seattle expansion team, that
- 34:39Speaker 4: this won't happen at this point, I said, jaded and
- 34:43Speaker 4: as doubting as everyone in the Pacific Northwest NBA wise
- 34:46Speaker 4: deserve to be.
- 34:47Speaker 1: I just I can't see it not happening.
- 34:49Speaker 3: Though, I'm waiting to see when it happens, That's all
- 34:51Speaker 3: I'll say. Because they've been dangling this carred in front
- 34:54Speaker 3: of fans of Seattle for a long time.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Time to get it done.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it is time, more than time to get it
- 34:59Speaker 1: done for sure.
- 35:00Speaker 4: Four nine four five one in the comodats Tech signed
- 35:02Speaker 4: to talk about that or anything else you want to
- 35:04Speaker 4: talk about. The World Cup, the Mariners and Cole Young,
- 35:06Speaker 4: my MVP for the mid point of the season, turning
- 35:09Speaker 4: it on again last night with the big home run
- 35:10Speaker 4: to beat the Pirates in Game one of that series.
- 35:13Speaker 4: But up next we're gonna go to Miami. Tim Reynolds
- 35:16Speaker 4: is the NBA writer for the Associated Press, former colleague
- 35:18Speaker 4: of mine when I was writing the Seattle writer for
- 35:20Speaker 4: the Associated Press. He's going to join us talk about
- 35:22Speaker 4: this Gianna strait and the heat, Why pat Riley did it?
