Latest / Millennial Mustard Seed / * Basil & Rod* - From Zero to Podcast Hero: A Spiritual and Technical Guide - Podcast Bootcamp Class #1
Transcript
- 0:00Welcome, everybody, Rod Smith here and obviously Basil.
- 0:04And this is our hello, greeting and welcome video for the
- 0:08podcast Boot Camp. Baz, what do you got for us?
- 0:12You made it, everybody. Can you even believe you made it
- 0:16to a strange land called the School app?
- 0:19We hope you find your accommodations here acceptable.
- 0:24But look, here's the thing, folks.
- 0:28We're doing it. Are we like 3 or 4 months late
- 0:31to doing it? Yes.
- 0:33Was that three or four months required to cocoon the idea to
- 0:39let God guide it and develop it in the direction that it
- 0:43ultimately and eternally must go?
- 0:46Yes, I think, I hope. And that's at least what we're
- 0:50telling ourselves. But we're very excited.
- 0:53And here's the thing, some of you may have actually spent some
- 0:57time on the school app before, you know, some various Canary
- 1:01Cry groups have run through this.
- 1:04But if you haven't, we're sorry, OK?
- 1:08We're not trying to give you another app to check or another
- 1:12social media or something. But I do want you to think of
- 1:16this place as a little bit different because here's the
- 1:19thing, if you made it this far, if you've if you're watching
- 1:23this video now, it means that you have made it past the
- 1:27obstacle course that it takes to get in the group.
- 1:31A sending an e-mail. B waiting four months.
- 1:35C Hopefully my invitation e-mail made it into your inbox and it
- 1:43probably didn't to about half of you and maybe you had to go into
- 1:48your spam folder or your junk folder and you go, what is this?
- 1:52What is this precious jewel of an e-mail?
- 1:54It's an invite to my destiny and future as a podcast.
- 2:00You're saying it's taking us so long to get this started because
- 2:04we actually feel very strongly about it and we actually are,
- 2:09you know, in in as much as a man with googly eyes on his face can
- 2:16take something seriously. We're taking this seriously
- 2:20because why you wonder why this? Well, because this is taking
- 2:26extra time and energy from our lives to do this.
- 2:31And because we are committing not just our time and energy,
- 2:35but our experience. We've really, I think it might
- 2:41be a little surprising to me. And it you tell me if it's
- 2:43surprising to you, Rob, that as we go through and develop and
- 2:48pray about how this whole thing is going to go, we find a sort
- 2:55of swelling light of dawn filling us up and giving us sort
- 3:04of a view on the horizon that's perhaps we've been kind of
- 3:10looking around for. But we just couldn't see because
- 3:13we're moving into an era where there's a number of people who
- 3:18have been called and it's time for them to wake up and get
- 3:21going. OK.
- 3:23So if you're here, that's you. This is a very small group.
- 3:28OK? There's there's gonna there's,
- 3:30you know, as of recording this video, there's eight people who
- 3:35have accepted the call. That's probably including you
- 3:38and I, Rod. So that's six.
- 3:41And the invitation only went out to a little over a dozen.
- 3:46OK. Because we're very serious.
- 3:50If you're here, this is your disclaimer.
- 3:53If you are here, you are here to take this very seriously.
- 3:58You are here to birth something into the world, whatever that is
- 4:03to you. OK, We're going to be talking
- 4:05about things in the context of podcasting, but maybe it's not a
- 4:10podcast, maybe it's something else, maybe it's like a YouTube
- 4:12channel or whatever. So just, you know, just apply
- 4:16everything to whatever that is to you.
- 4:18And so this is your opportunity, this is your last opportunity to
- 4:25leave if it starts to sound too scary, if it starts to sound too
- 4:31serious. And that's OK.
- 4:32If maybe you're thinking like, oh, you know, OK.
- 4:35I mean, it was, I wasn't that like amped up about it.
- 4:39I just kind of wanted to hang out with people or I just kind
- 4:44of wanted to talk to my buddies or something.
- 4:46That's OK. That's totally OK.
- 4:49But you're going to have homework before we get in to
- 4:53what the class actually looks like.
- 4:55Rod, did you have anything to add on top of my very?
- 5:01Paternal the the horizon that we've been seeing is what what
- 5:06I'm labeling as an echoing out from heaven.
- 5:10Now's the time. Go do it.
- 5:12And if you felt stirred up and just as Basil said to do
- 5:17something for the Lord and you mistook and thought it was a
- 5:20podcast, but God already answered that for you and he has
- 5:22you doing something else and you want to back out.
- 5:24No hard feelings. We're not going to like put your
- 5:27name in a hat. But if you're committed and
- 5:29you're here for the right reason, there is a message going
- 5:33out from the Hashemi Eames and it's to go for.
- 5:36And it's the same message it's always been.
- 5:38Preach the gospel, plant seeds, water seeds, speak the truth, go
- 5:42against this, you know, Nazi pharmaceutical, kamikaze,
- 5:46compartmentalized governmental system of control, whatever that
- 5:50may be. It could simply just be
- 5:52encouraging another believer because I was getting seeds
- 5:57planted by basil, I don't know, nine years ago and here I am.
- 6:01So why can't you repeat that if you're here for the right
- 6:04reason? We, we have expectations.
- 6:07There's A to do list today. There's A to do list.
- 6:10Our welcome video is going to cover Ground Zero and step one
- 6:15and Basil, I'll pass it back to you with the idea of what is
- 6:18step one that you did leave a a nice welcome chat.
- 6:25Drop the message in the school app here.
- 6:27And we expect, by the way, each one of you to welcome yourselves
- 6:30in that message in the school app.
- 6:33Just, you know, post who you are.
- 6:35Hi, welcome. Things like that.
- 6:37But when you read through what Basil asked us to do, there was
- 6:40a requirement. Baz, what was that?
- 6:43Yeah, before I jump into the 1st and 2nd requirement, I do want
- 6:48to, well, no, let me take that back.
- 6:51Let me jump in 1st to the 1st requirement.
- 6:53Assignment one, Assignment one. No, I take that back.
- 6:58Back it up. Reverse assignment 0. 0. 0 is a
- 7:03strange thing. It's not technically a number.
- 7:06It's a value between positive and negative numbers.
- 7:09We the romance, you know, caused a lot of chaos with the #0 but
- 7:15that's for another time number Assignment 0 is to get
- 7:21comfortable, to get familiar with the school app and more
- 7:24than anything, introduce yourself, reach out, start
- 7:28talking, ask questions of your fellow members.
- 7:32Because you will notice that the things that we ask of you are
- 7:38going to be extremely, perhaps sort of intimidatingly simple.
- 7:45You might be wondering what's, you know, do I actually have to
- 7:49do this? Is this an actual important part
- 7:52of the thing? I'm telling you?
- 7:54If there's anything I promised, it is my, I guess, holy
- 8:02obligation to not ask anybody to do anything that isn't of the
- 8:08utmost importance. OK, That is the promise that I
- 8:12make to you. I will not request anything of
- 8:15you unless it is absolutely essential.
- 8:18And so therefore it is essential.
- 8:20So you must do it. But number one is start
- 8:23interacting on the app. Introduce yourself, say hi, ask
- 8:29questions, start building a rapport with your fellow
- 8:32students because here's the thing, we are going to be giving
- 8:36you, yes, the technical skills, the technical know how how to
- 8:42make a podcast. OK, You will be sufficient and
- 8:46proficient at the technical abilities to make a podcast.
- 8:51Those abilities are they are the least important part of making a
- 8:57podcast and that is coming from a couple of guys with a combined
- 9:02experience over 20 years of podcasting.
- 9:05And not just any podcasting, but like in the trenches, blue
- 9:09collar podcasting. OK.
- 9:12And when it comes to really making it work in the trenches,
- 9:17blue collar podcasting not being, you know, sort of pushed
- 9:22along by algorithms or advertisers or money or
- 9:26whatever, because things are easy to do when you got it easy.
- 9:30But before that, it takes friends, it takes a network, it
- 9:38takes the people around you. Again, we talked about the
- 9:42spiritual warfare going on in the world and the benefit and
- 9:46the call for believers to stand shoulder to shoulder with one
- 9:50another, to fellowship one another.
- 9:51When two or more are gathered, there he is also.
- 9:56It might be the most important thing in podcasting is to have
- 10:01your little group. I had a little group.
- 10:03We, Gonz and I had a little group back in 2012.
- 10:07That little group, whether as podcasters, researchers,
- 10:11authors, you know, whatever it was, if it weren't for building
- 10:16those relationships, you're not going to make it very far.
- 10:20And same with Rod had his own experience with that as well.
- 10:23People in this group with you, they're going to be essentially,
- 10:29you're going to be working together.
- 10:30You're going to be presenting to one another.
- 10:33You're going to be hearing each other's voices.
- 10:36You're going to be hearing these people hear your voices, which
- 10:41will be a big obstacle, I guarantee you.
- 10:44So make sure to start introducing yourself now this,
- 10:49let's jump to the app real quick because while this is a great
- 10:54platform for putting together, you know, sort of classroom
- 10:58courses and managing live streams and everything, we're
- 11:02going to need to make you into podcasters, folks.
- 11:06It's also a little bit like a social media, OK, So you can
- 11:09send DMS, you can follow people, make sure to follow everybody
- 11:13else in the group. If you look at the top of the
- 11:15school app, you'll see tabs. The community tab is where, of
- 11:20course, a lot of the socializing will take place.
- 11:22A lot of the assignments will be posted there, A lot of
- 11:25announcements, of course, get in there, leave comments, hit
- 11:29thumbs up, do the thing. The classroom, the school app
- 11:34tracks and rewards interaction. OK, you might poke around.
- 11:39You'll go to your profile or you'll see this tab called
- 11:42Leaderboard, and the app will actually be keeping track of
- 11:47every way you interact with the app.
- 11:49Now, it's not a contest. It's not you're not competing
- 11:53for my love, everybody. But I will say school does keep
- 11:58track and put everybody in a rank of the amount that they
- 12:04interact. OK, that's the I didn't tell it
- 12:07to do that. I can't even turn off but it
- 12:10will. Be a parent feature.
- 12:11It will be a parent who is and who isn't following assignment
- 12:15zero. You'll also notice in the tabs,
- 12:18there's the classroom tab. That is where video lessons and
- 12:21things will be available. Soon you'll see the calendar tab
- 12:25where when we do live streams or different events that you're
- 12:28invited to jump on, they will be put there.
- 12:32Member tab, You'll see the members map.
- 12:35I don't even know what the map is.
- 12:36OK, apparently it's just a map. I don't know if I like the map.
- 12:39I might turn it off the map. When you click on the map, it
- 12:42actually shows everybody within like a 20 mile of proximity of
- 12:47their location. So we got three people on the
- 12:49east. Coast.
- 12:50And three people on the West Coast.
- 12:53Let's see here. Pins are off by 10 plus miles
- 12:56for privacy. OK well I might fudge with the
- 12:59map a little bit. OK I don't know if I like the
- 13:01map but then you'll see the leaderboard and the about so get
- 13:05used to the thing. For those who need it.
- 13:09There is a mobile application. You can put it on your phone so
- 13:13you have easy access. I would recommend getting the
- 13:16mobile app because of assignment one and the assignments that
- 13:23follow as well. Of course, you're going to be
- 13:27doing a lot of thinking. So is there anything you'd like
- 13:30to follow up with that Rod with assignment 0I?
- 13:33Mean it's yeah, it's get get the mobile app like what I've done
- 13:37and you can see who's active, right?
- 13:39So I've checked it in the morning, I check it once in the
- 13:41afternoon and once in the evening just to see a very
- 13:45simple thing that we're asking. Get to know the app, like the
- 13:48statuses comment, leave a description.
- 13:51If you're missing that step because you're too excited or
- 13:54too wound up about this process, just take a deep breath.
- 13:58Don't forget to breathe. Reread what Basil wrote.
- 14:02Obviously, you're listening to this introduction video and get
- 14:06familiar with the app. At the very bottom of the app,
- 14:08there's also a like private chat.
- 14:11You can start a chat with one of your future buddies that's here
- 14:15on this Boot Camp podcasting assignment group.
- 14:21And yeah, get familiar with the app and, you know, just follow
- 14:24the steps, you guys, even if you're a veteran podcast.
- 14:28It's mostly to, you know, to to be able to efficiently interact
- 14:35a with your fellow podcasters and B assignment 1 is a good
- 14:40reflection of what many of the assignments are going to be.
- 14:43OK. Yes, we're checking willingness.
- 14:47Also we're we're watching for the willing.
- 14:49Like are you guys willing to do something super simple like
- 14:52interact? So here's the thing, there's
- 14:55going to be a lot of things that you're going to be learning and
- 15:00I we, we are both very passionate as people who have
- 15:04gone through the process. One thing you're going to get
- 15:08from this class is this is not a monetized class.
- 15:14We do not need to make a bunch of content to justify, you know,
- 15:20charging people for a podcasting class.
- 15:22It's not a class. This is a boot camp
- 15:25discipleship, you know, is this is very difficult to actually
- 15:30try to describe what we're doing here, but you're going to be
- 15:34overcoming very early the real obstacles.
- 15:38OK, you can Google like you saw in my e-mail, you can Google how
- 15:42to make a podcast and get a bajillion lists and walkthroughs
- 15:46of how to make podcast that information of is everywhere.
- 15:49OK, you're here because there is the deep, dark secrets of what
- 15:55to expect, and my hope is to usher you in to podcasting in a
- 16:05way that exercises the muscles to help you get over the
- 16:13obstacles that stop 99% of podcasters somewhere along the
- 16:20line. Most podcasters don't get to
- 16:25episode 10. Even fewer get to episode 50.
- 16:30Many cases I have been both of those people.
- 16:34So this is really going to be coming from the experience of
- 16:38people who made it work, who did the suffering for the many
- 16:41years, who had to learn the lessons early and #1 is hearing
- 16:47your own voice and #2 is actually pressing record, as
- 16:54everybody here knows. You can think, you can pray, you
- 16:57can wonder, you can plan, you can fantasize, you can think
- 17:01about forever how wonderful it would be when you get your
- 17:04podcast or your project off the ground.
- 17:06It'll be perfect. You know, it'll be wonderful.
- 17:11And I'm telling you, that's not how it goes.
- 17:13So assignment one will be sort of the baby version of most of
- 17:20the assignments as they unfold and it is strictly done by
- 17:26recording yourself. OK, pressing record is the
- 17:30number one thing. It's very simple.
- 17:32Many of you probably already have an idea of the podcast you
- 17:34want to start. Many of you could probably sit
- 17:37here and pitch it to us and that's good.
- 17:40But before we start, this is before, OK?
- 17:46This class is not about coming up with an idea.
- 17:51It is not about learning how to format and refine your idea,
- 17:57although all those things will be happening.
- 18:00It's all about execution. By the end of this class, you
- 18:03will have executed, you will be live, you will have at least one
- 18:07episode, maybe more, and you will have a community of other
- 18:10podcasters to work with to get your journey started and you'll
- 18:15probably have a bit of an audience right off the bat.
- 18:19OK, that's part of the, but it all starts with actually doing
- 18:23it. Doing it, doing it.
- 18:25So assignment 1, you have your idea.
- 18:28You have a name, you can describe it.
- 18:30You have a phone, and on that phone is a voice recording
- 18:35application. All you're going to do is press
- 18:38record and tell us, introduce your show, tell us the name,
- 18:46give us about one paragraph. Now here's the thing.
- 18:49As you can see in the instructions, if you're looking
- 18:52at them, it must be between 25 seconds and 30 seconds, OK,
- 18:59We've already had some people try to do this.
- 19:02And you know, it's very hard to make it short.
- 19:06It's very hard to make it long. Everybody's going to have
- 19:09problems, but the number one problem is if you can't describe
- 19:16your show in 30 seconds, you need to find a way to do it.
- 19:20If you can't fill 25 seconds, you got to find a way to do it.
- 19:25And you got to be prepared to hear your own voice and have
- 19:28others hear your own voice. Now don't panic, you're not
- 19:31being graded on the quality of your idea, OK?
- 19:34Whether it's a good name, a bad name, or the quality.
- 19:37Of the recording. If it's you're recording on your
- 19:39cell phone, don't worry if it's fuzzy, if there's noise in the
- 19:42background, we're not looking for that kind of perfection at
- 19:45all. Right.
- 19:47And so there's a few things we want to know and a few things
- 19:51that we want you to think about and talk about.
- 19:56Of course the name. And then when you describe your
- 19:59podcast, remember you're pitching it, OK?
- 20:01It's like you're pitching, let's say this is playing on the radio
- 20:06and you wanna get people to listen to your podcast.
- 20:10You've got a 30 second commercial spot.
- 20:13This is the time you're trying to fill.
- 20:15So of course, the name of the show, short description of the
- 20:18show things. That I would recommend adding
- 20:20like the format of the show. Is it an interview show?
- 20:24Is it a research scripted show? Is it off the cuff?
- 20:27Is it out in the field? Is it in the, you know,
- 20:30something like that. Also the purpose of the show.
- 20:33Why? What is the purpose of the show?
- 20:35You know, for instance, you know, Canary Cry, it was to
- 20:40introduce the Christian Church going community into this sort
- 20:45of fringy biblical stuff that they might not have been hearing
- 20:48in church. That was, you know, the original
- 20:50description. You're going to want to talk
- 20:53about your target audience. Are they Christians?
- 20:58Are they non Christians? Is it humorous?
- 21:01Are they are you trying to podcast the dogs?
- 21:03You know, this kind of stuff, very simple, and then you have
- 21:06an opportunity to kind of list out a couple of the topics or
- 21:10subject matter or episodes they kind of have in mind.
- 21:13And this will give people, you know, an idea if they want to
- 21:16pop in. For instance, hey, this is
- 21:19Canary Cry Radio. We're making a show to educate
- 21:23and entertain Christians in the church community who might not
- 21:27hear about the Nephilim or secret societies or UFO programs
- 21:34or whatever, that kind of thing. It's easy as that.
- 21:37OK, if you're getting too descriptive and you're going
- 21:40over 30 seconds, time to cut it down.
- 21:44Now, this might be the most important way to go about this
- 21:52as far as recording, and you know you're not going to be.
- 21:56Do not submit written answers. I will not read them.
- 22:00You're not posting your answers. You are not emailing your
- 22:04answers. You're not doing any of it.
- 22:07Lord willing, in the Creek don't rise.
- 22:09Every single assignment that you're given will be in audio.
- 22:14You should be doing everything in audio.
- 22:17And. By the time that you're done
- 22:20with the class, not only will you, you know, have a full
- 22:24episode that you will be posting and making live, but you will
- 22:28have had ample opportunities to get used to recording yourself,
- 22:32hearing yourself, and sharing your voice to others.
- 22:36Which, yeah, is often something that I forget that I am even
- 22:42comfortable with. Rod, do you agree?
- 22:45Absolutely. I mean, the the secret recipe to
- 22:50consistently podcasting is to continue to hit record through
- 22:54all seasons of life. Yeah, keep going.
- 22:58And for you guys, this is the valuable lesson right from the
- 23:02gate, right from the RIP. That is going to be what you can
- 23:06lean into and you're doing it with the community.
- 23:09You guys are starting right off the RIP with the community.
- 23:12Not only that, but 20 years of experience to help nudge along
- 23:15the way. And you've answered the call
- 23:17because God has put it in your heart.
- 23:20And you said yes. And you said send me.
- 23:23And so this is a big deal. We congratulate you.
- 23:26We're honoring you for stepping forward to the torch Bearer and
- 23:30to enter into the ring this arena of life and to capture
- 23:35your own growth journey and how dangerous it can feel at times
- 23:39to ask questions, not even always knowing the right answer,
- 23:44to make yourself that vulnerable.
- 23:46That takes courage and to do it publicly takes a lot of courage.
- 23:50So you're in the right place, you guys.
- 23:54The steps are laid out for you. We have smiles on our face.
- 23:58We're excited for this endeavor. What God is going to do here and
- 24:03you have a support team that has angels surrounding us who could
- 24:08be against you. If you've heard the call and
- 24:12you're doing this for the right reason, you should be pretty
- 24:15stoked about what's coming down the pipe.
- 24:18That's what it's good to remind people that they should be
- 24:21stoked. You're wondering how you should
- 24:23feel right now. You should feel stoked.
- 24:25And so this video is already significantly longer than we
- 24:28expected, but I think it's important because let's look at
- 24:35the big picture and big picture what we're hoping you come out
- 24:41of this experience with A, the technical proficiency and the
- 24:47ability to put out a podcast, of course, but B, the experience of
- 24:59doing the podcast, doing it consistently, building up those
- 25:04skills, the many not just technical skills, but sort of X
- 25:08Factor skills, the emotional skills, the spiritual skills,
- 25:12the grit, the, the, the, what's the word look?
- 25:21Building that still small voice for yourself.
- 25:24That too, the Constitution. There we go.
- 25:27Constitution of it, yes. And on top of that, but you
- 25:33know, and that comes from what we're really excited about in
- 25:37bringing not just the step by step, but the you know, you
- 25:42might find sometimes that it sounds like perhaps at least
- 25:46myself are using this opportunity to pass on the sort
- 25:52of deep, deep, dark struggle of many years of podcasting on
- 25:59beforehand before. Because you know, this will also
- 26:03be an, an excellent opportunity for myself and Rod to put into
- 26:08words the, the real journey, the real journey making it work even
- 26:15in seasons of life that it seems like the least possible, the you
- 26:21know, the least convenient, the, the least, whatever you know,
- 26:25that's going to be very important.
- 26:28Of course you're going to come out of this with actual product.
- 26:32You will have made podcasting products that will have input
- 26:39and development built into it. But more than anything, you're
- 26:43going to be in a cohort of a new generation of podcasters, OK?
- 26:53This is why it's kind of boot camp, right?
- 26:56You're not going to be come out the other side of this with the
- 27:00podcast and then just chug through 1/2 the chug through it.
- 27:04Or maybe not, maybe give up or whatever, but one of the gifts
- 27:10of this program is that you're gonna start with a resource that
- 27:17it take. It took me a long, long time to
- 27:21build and that is a group of fellow people who are.
- 27:25Called the missions. Who are, who can provide
- 27:30support, who could supply advice, who could supply
- 27:35content? Who can be your guests, Who can
- 27:39You can collaborate? You can build not just
- 27:45relationships, build audience, build content with one another.
- 27:51And the fun part is, Rod and I, we'll also have a new cohort of
- 27:58podcast buddies who we will be available for and they will be
- 28:04available to us. You know, it really is trying to
- 28:07raise up a new generation of podcasters in whatever genre
- 28:12that you choose to be in. And that is going to be a real
- 28:17treasure. I know it will be for me and I
- 28:20hope it will be for you, but. Yeah, it's going to be a
- 28:23treasure. It's sort of the number one
- 28:26thing that will differentiate between the podcasts that don't
- 28:35make it to episode 2 and the podcast that make it to episode
- 28:39100 is going to be those sort of relationships.
- 28:42So, so take that seriously. You will all be coming in
- 28:47contact with each other's work. You will be asked to comments on
- 28:54each other's work, You will, but you're not grading anybody.
- 28:57But the the the act of having other people around you hear the
- 29:04work that you create is again one of the most difficult skills
- 29:09to build up, but also one of the most rewarding in all sorts of
- 29:14different ways. And that's it.
- 29:18This is our introductory video. We've invested 30 minutes into
- 29:23this introductory video. You better get a 32nd recording,
- 29:28no more than 30 second recording.
- 29:30That's a fair trade off. We can't wait to meet you guys
- 29:34to take this journey with you. And as everything that Basil
- 29:37said, you should be stoked. So we'll see you as the courses
- 29:43unfold. We want to see the comments and
- 29:45the sections. We want to see you guys
- 29:46introducing each other and pray. Listen, if you're watching this
- 29:50and there's only eight people, nine people in the group.
- 29:53If there's one more person who didn't sign up yet and get the
- 29:57school app and they're they're maybe they're sitting there
- 29:59thinking, should I do it? Should I not do it?
- 30:01I'm getting cold feet. Pray, pray for the group.
- 30:03Regardless, every person who said yes, because that's just
- 30:07the right thing to do. Yes, you guys, in all the future
- 30:12expeditions yet to be done. The next important date, we will
- 30:20officially be beginning the class in the first week of May.
- 30:27And this will you know, it'll take many forms.
- 30:29We'll give you the information and exactly when the first class
- 30:33will be. But as far as assignment one,
- 30:37the recording 32nd recording of your starting idea, remember it
- 30:42will evolve, it will change, and it will develop over the course
- 30:46of this. The idea that you present an
- 30:49assignment one might not even be the idea that you work on the
- 30:53whole time. OK, it's gonna change, believe
- 30:56me. We will give you we'll give you
- 30:59direction and where to upload that 30 second piece of audio.
- 31:03It will probably be here on the school app, but keep an eye out
- 31:07for future dates. But the recording must be
- 31:10provided before May 1st. OK.
- 31:14And. Not to be too intense for those
- 31:17who read my e-mail, I wrote the e-mail, went back and read it
- 31:21and said, wait, am I being too intense here?
- 31:24Do I feel intense about this? I think I do feel intense about
- 31:28this. And I asked Rod and he said, no,
- 31:30it's great, it's fine. And I thought to myself, wow, if
- 31:34I don't put more than 5 exclamation points in an e-mail,
- 31:37I feel like I'm being like a, a, a boot camp.
- 31:41You know what? What do they call it?
- 31:43The. Is your boot camp buddy Basil?
- 31:46Yes, Sir. Boot camp buddy Basil?
- 31:48Yeah. Drill Sergeant.
- 31:52So there you go. Oh Oh yes.
- 31:55The point is, and this is lovingly from your best buddy
- 31:59Basil, if you do not make the recording and have it available
- 32:06by May 1st, the first class is not for you.
- 32:12OK, I say this all in love. If your assignment 1 is not done
- 32:19and provided by May 1st, that is you telling us, and hear me
- 32:26right, all the love, but I'm giving you the reality of the
- 32:33situation. If you do not do assignment one
- 32:37by May 1st, that is you telling us that you graciously have
- 32:43changed your mind and the class is not for you and that's OK.
- 32:49That's what matters. All right, everybody go and do
- 32:53it. We will stay in contact, you
- 32:57will hear more from us in various ways, whether it is
- 33:02posts on this app or emails that go out or perhaps even both.
- 33:08But we are praying for you. We are impressed by you and we
- 33:13are stoked. So you should be stoked and God
- 33:17bless you. And you're off and your
- 33:19offerings to him as you respond to the call that he has put on
- 33:24your heart. OK, everybody, the world needs
- 33:27you. The world is ready for you.
- 33:29It's your turn. OK?
- 33:31God bless. Go.
