- 0:39Speaker 2: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:43Speaker 2: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with
- 0:47Speaker 2: Trady Trentholm and Ras Sharma. We have just a couple
- 0:54Speaker 2: of days before Christmas and I want to make sure
- 0:56Speaker 2: that we cram in all the Christmas related content that
- 1:00Speaker 2: we can, including a Christmas tradition out of Spain that
- 1:05Speaker 2: I had forgotten about until recently. I would like to
- 1:08Speaker 2: thank my social media algorithm for reminding me about the
- 1:13Speaker 2: Catalan Christmas log or as others know it. Are you
- 1:22Speaker 2: guys aware of the Catalan Christmas pooping log?
- 1:27Speaker 3: I can't say that I am.
- 1:29Speaker 2: This is from Spain, sometimes called CagA Teo or Teo,
- 1:35Speaker 2: the Nda dog.
- 1:39Speaker 4: H interesting.
- 1:44Speaker 1: If someone put googly eyes in a and a smiling
- 1:49Speaker 1: face on a log and a hat and a hat.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Yeah. So this is the Catalan Christmas pooping log, sometimes
- 1:59Speaker 2: called Taga Teo or Teo d Nadal. This is a
- 2:05Speaker 2: Christmas tradition out of areas of Spain that spans a
- 2:09Speaker 2: few centuries. This is its story. A log is given
- 2:15Speaker 2: a face, a red catle and hat as you can
- 2:17Speaker 2: see there, and stick legs on the front. Children then
- 2:23Speaker 2: feed it daily with water, nuts and sweets leading up
- 2:27Speaker 2: to Christmas. Then on Christmas Eve, families gather. They cover
- 2:32Speaker 2: the log with a blanket, sing traditional songs and then
- 2:37Speaker 2: beat dick out of it with sticks. As they sing,
- 2:44Speaker 2: the log poops out small presents like candies and fruits
- 2:48Speaker 2: and little presents and gifts from underneath its blanket. Then,
- 2:54Speaker 2: after the main presence, the log just might drop a
- 2:58Speaker 2: final less desire riable item like a salted herring or
- 3:02Speaker 2: a rotten potato if it's been natty. So keep that
- 3:08Speaker 2: in mind with whatever Christmas tradition you keep alive in
- 3:12Speaker 2: your household, that in other parts of the world they
- 3:14Speaker 2: have their own.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Well, I don't know. My family was from Spain and
- 3:19Speaker 4: I was a log because I got beat the same way.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Had pooped out presents.
- 3:32Speaker 4: That's how it got out of the beating, and a potato, which.
- 3:38Speaker 5: Is odd, uh rotten potato. Yeah, that is so strange. Yeah,
- 3:44Speaker 5: it was a handful of years ago. I first heard
- 3:47Speaker 5: about this, and then, like so many things in my life,
- 3:49Speaker 5: I had completely forgotten about it, and then it just
- 3:52Speaker 5: kind of popped back around.
- 3:53Speaker 2: On my algorithm. I was like, oh, yeah, because when
- 3:56Speaker 2: I saw this photo, I was like, I remember this,
- 4:00Speaker 2: and I was like, oh, that is a weird, weird
- 4:03Speaker 2: Christmas tradition. At the same time, if you think about it,
- 4:07Speaker 2: all Christmas traditions are kind of weird if you really
- 4:09Speaker 2: look at him from a different perspective, because a big
- 4:12Speaker 2: chunk of the Christmas mythology is that Santa delivers toys
- 4:18Speaker 2: to all the boys and girls of the world on
- 4:20Speaker 2: a single night, and he has elves that he keeps
- 4:23Speaker 2: his labor and drain deer that fly. I mean, I
- 4:26Speaker 2: guess making a pooping gift log is not that far
- 4:29Speaker 2: of a stretch.
- 4:35Speaker 3: But I'm speechless.
- 4:36Speaker 6: I would say Nick was real, I mean, like Nicholas whatever,
- 4:40Speaker 6: what what was his actual name? That was a real thing,
- 4:44Speaker 6: and the only reason it was like flying reindeer is
- 4:46Speaker 6: because of the snow. So when they were when he
- 4:49Speaker 6: was delivering presents, it looked like they were flying.
- 4:51Speaker 4: In the air, and that was the thing.
- 4:54Speaker 2: So are you saying that Santa is more believable than
- 4:59Speaker 2: the Christmas pooping or are you saying that perhaps at
- 5:02Speaker 2: one point there was an original pooping log.
- 5:09Speaker 6: Yes, I wanna go. I'm gonna go with as a Hindu,
- 5:20Speaker 6: I'm gonna go with the with Saint Nick.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Yeah. It's interesting though when you think about it, because
- 5:25Speaker 2: there's all these stories that come about around different holidays,
- 5:29Speaker 2: especially Christmas. I mean, you've got things like Rudolph and Frosty,
- 5:35Speaker 2: things that are completely you know, just made up from
- 5:37Speaker 2: someone's you know, creativity, and then it's found its way
- 5:41Speaker 2: into the holidays season up to and including the California
- 5:47Speaker 2: Raisins Christmas Special I remember watching as a kid, which
- 5:50Speaker 2: I thoroughly loved. By the way, these different traditions are
- 5:55Speaker 2: fascinating to me because the stories and the thing that
- 6:00Speaker 2: come around and then and then it becomes a franchise
- 6:04Speaker 2: like we have Elf on a Shelf has taken off
- 6:08Speaker 2: and is wildly popular, but here is a missed opportunity
- 6:12Speaker 2: for some ip for a movie studio, just waiting to
- 6:15Speaker 2: happen with the cattle in Christmas pooping log. It's adorable.
- 6:22Speaker 4: I mean, you can put it on a chain, you
- 6:24Speaker 4: can call it poop on a loop.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Uh sells itself. But yeah, I mean you have all
- 6:35Speaker 2: these stories that that will sell. You know, it sells
- 6:37Speaker 2: toys and merchandise and movies and television shows, all these
- 6:42Speaker 2: things surrounding. And I'm just can't understand why this one
- 6:45Speaker 2: hasn't taken off in the same way as so many others.
- 6:51Speaker 6: You could have it in a glove and called shit
- 6:54Speaker 6: and mint.
- 7:00Speaker 2: And they do think that. I don't you would think
- 7:04Speaker 2: that the thing that gives you Christmas presents, you wouldn't
- 7:06Speaker 2: beat it with a stick. But that's part of the tradition.
- 7:09Speaker 2: In some of the research I did into this, Yes,
- 7:11Speaker 2: I did little research into this. It's reminiscent of a pinata.
- 7:16Speaker 2: So this is kind of like a Christmas pinata type
- 7:18Speaker 2: of a scenario, except in an actual pinata, you beat
- 7:22Speaker 2: it so much it opens up and spills out all
- 7:25Speaker 2: of its gifts and not its enterds. But here it's
- 7:29Speaker 2: just a it's a log and it's got a happy,
- 7:32Speaker 2: smiley face on it, and that it pooped out your presence.
- 7:35Speaker 4: Congratulations, I got beat with a stick. It wasn't a
- 7:41Speaker 4: holiday tradition. It was just a Tuesday. But yeah, I mean.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Although although there were a few times that I got
- 7:50Speaker 2: beat so bad I thought I was gonna shit.
- 7:56Speaker 4: It wasn't. It wasn't a good beating. If you didn't.
- 8:00Speaker 2: That that that's how my mom knew I was done anymore.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Yeah, it'd be a good Christmas story for me if ultimately,
- 8:15Speaker 1: you know, the log got taken away and your heart broken,
- 8:20Speaker 1: and then it comes back as a paddle.
- 8:25Speaker 2: It's your dad just carving up the Christmas log into
- 8:27Speaker 2: a paddle and then changes you around the tree.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Still have the eyes. Yeah, come back, have the eyes
- 8:34Speaker 3: and smiley face. Just time. It's the architect of your destruction.
- 8:42Speaker 6: Which is a little strange because my parents or Hindu,
- 8:46Speaker 6: so I don't even know why we did this.
- 8:53Speaker 4: That's the only time my mother believed in Jesus.
- 8:57Speaker 2: It is is fascinating though, sometimes when you're getting beat
- 9:00Speaker 2: like that as a kid and you're like, why do
- 9:03Speaker 2: you have me? If all you want to do is
- 9:05Speaker 2: hurt me?
- 9:08Speaker 1: Oh, my dad had an answer for that question. It
- 9:10Speaker 1: was like, that's what kids are for, you know, I'll
- 9:13Speaker 1: take out your frustration.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Oh wow, that is horrific.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:23Speaker 6: See, don't you feel a little normal because we have
- 9:25Speaker 6: the same thing.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I don't think. I still don't. I don't feel normal. No, No,
- 9:31Speaker 2: I think, I think. I think. What we've all come
- 9:33Speaker 2: to realize here is that while we have some shared experiences,
- 9:37Speaker 2: that doesn't make them okay.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Child abuse is a universal language.
- 9:41Speaker 2: It really is, and the three of us are fluent.
- 9:48Speaker 6: I knew in mathematically is nine one one.
- 10:01Speaker 2: You're listening to the Treehouse.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Visit us online that treehouse on air dot com.

- 10:24Speaker 2: Has anyone ever answered the door naked for you?
- 10:27Speaker 4: Daniel?
- 10:28Speaker 7: Not naked, but we have had a couple of doors
- 10:32Speaker 7: answering that have been risque. I would say it's a
- 10:37Speaker 7: good term maybe like almost brawl and panties kind of
- 10:44Speaker 7: deal one time and they probably were shorts, but they
- 10:50Speaker 7: definitely weren't shorts. Maybe I think one time a lady.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Answered in a towel.
- 10:59Speaker 7: Okay, so I mean, I guess that happens. One time
- 11:05Speaker 7: a guy answered and all he had on was a
- 11:10Speaker 7: pair and he did not have a very flattering fasique.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Yeah he had what did he have on?
- 11:17Speaker 7: Just like a pair of shorts, like one of those
- 11:19Speaker 7: like shorty shorts, like from the nineteen seventies.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Oh wow, okay, yeah, and not.
- 11:26Speaker 7: Flattering at all. So that was kind of like.
- 11:30Speaker 2: In a moment like that, do you look around to
- 11:33Speaker 2: see it? Am I in the right place for the
- 11:35Speaker 2: service call? And did I interrupt a key party?
- 11:39Speaker 4: No?
- 11:40Speaker 7: It's kind of one of those things, man. I And
- 11:43Speaker 7: this happened like three or four years ago. But honestly,
- 11:45Speaker 7: it was a really nice neighborhood and we got called
- 11:48Speaker 7: out for the inspection, and obviously when he answered the door,
- 11:55Speaker 7: for instinct is look and then you look down at
- 11:57Speaker 7: the ground like, oh, I'm here to do your your
- 12:01Speaker 7: property inspection.
- 12:04Speaker 4: He's and he's just so casualized. Yeah, yeah, I'm inspecting you,
- 12:07Speaker 4: hey man.
- 12:07Speaker 7: Good see man, You know he wants to shake your hand.
- 12:09Speaker 7: I'm like Jesus man, you know, but.
- 12:12Speaker 2: At least he's only wanting you to shake his hand.
- 12:16Speaker 7: Well, like y'all said earlier, for a billion dollars.
- 12:24Speaker 2: I will shake some risky things for a billion dollars. Absolutely.

- 13:16Speaker 2: free property review eight three three cook DFW or the
- 13:20Speaker 2: website cookdfw dot com. ROJ you said you think that
- 13:27Speaker 2: all the beatings we all got is the reason why
- 13:30Speaker 2: we don't have kids.
- 13:33Speaker 4: My mother used to say this.
- 13:35Speaker 6: I don't know if you ever got this, but it
- 13:37Speaker 6: was like, when you have your own kids, you can
- 13:39Speaker 6: do this too. I never got that, and I was
- 13:43Speaker 6: like well, that's why I don't have kids.
- 13:49Speaker 2: That's actually one of the main reasons I don't is
- 13:53Speaker 2: because there's a little bit of a cycle breaking mentality
- 13:56Speaker 2: going on with me where it's like, you know what,
- 13:58Speaker 2: I think it's probably best because I wasn't shown the
- 14:01Speaker 2: best way to parent, I probably wouldn't be the best parent.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Yeah, that's I mean, I'm go ahead.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Well, they say you parent like you were parented, and
- 14:12Speaker 1: I mean my parents were not good parents. You know that,
- 14:16Speaker 1: And the world really doesn't need another bipolar addict.
- 14:20Speaker 4: So you know, well you told that to Los Angeles,
- 14:25Speaker 4: my friend.
- 14:29Speaker 6: I'm really good with kids, like kids love me, and
- 14:33Speaker 6: I love I love children like I I'll buy gifts,
- 14:39Speaker 6: I'll go out of my way to do things. But
- 14:41Speaker 6: I don't want any more of this DNA in the
- 14:44Speaker 6: world at all.
- 14:46Speaker 2: And I'm kind of an enigma because I'm I'm very
- 14:50Speaker 2: much a question mark as far as when it comes
- 14:52Speaker 2: to nature versus nurture because I'm adopted, right, and I
- 14:56Speaker 2: don't know my biological family, so I don't know what
- 14:59Speaker 2: sort of screwed up recessive jeans are in that gene
- 15:02Speaker 2: pool that I have somewhere lurking inside me. All I
- 15:05Speaker 2: know is how I was raised and what was modeled
- 15:09Speaker 2: for me, and how I was raised and what was
- 15:11Speaker 2: modeled for me was not stellar. So I think it's
- 15:14Speaker 2: probably for the best that we just not, you know,
- 15:16Speaker 2: tempt fade on that front, or like Trey said, it's
- 15:19Speaker 2: like the world doesn't need another bipolar addict. And even
- 15:23Speaker 2: on Christmas, most of our Christmases were absolutely fantastic. But
- 15:28Speaker 2: if I saw this teo didn't a doll cattle in
- 15:31Speaker 2: Christmas pooping doll underneath the tree on Christmas morning, I
- 15:35Speaker 2: would be worried that it looks a little too easy,
- 15:38Speaker 2: too wheeled in my mother's hand, like she could pick
- 15:42Speaker 2: that up and chase me around the tree with it.
- 15:45Speaker 6: I would just wake up and be like my dad
- 15:47Speaker 6: had too much Johnny walkmerd and shit under the tree
- 15:51Speaker 6: and then drew.
- 15:51Speaker 2: A face on it and put a hat on it
- 15:56Speaker 2: and covered it up with a red rug so you
- 15:58Speaker 2: wouldn't see it.
- 16:01Speaker 4: I mean the rug would be Persian. But yes, anyway, yeah.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Uh so, Merry Christmas do us And and I'm with you,
- 16:12Speaker 2: Roger Meane. I like kids. I've never had anything against them.
- 16:14Speaker 2: It's just the the older I got the more I
- 16:16Speaker 2: thought about it, and I was like, you know what,
- 16:18Speaker 2: I think, it's probably it's it's best for me and
- 16:21Speaker 2: my life and lifestyle, and probably for the benefit of
- 16:25Speaker 2: the child. That's probably not good.
- 16:29Speaker 6: He's one I always wanted kids. I'm like, even when
- 16:32Speaker 6: when I was married, Like, we didn't not try. Uh
- 16:36Speaker 6: But I guess that was the universe going, hey, just
- 16:39Speaker 6: be a good uncle and and and buy cool stuff.
- 16:43Speaker 6: Uh So I'm okay doing that.
- 16:46Speaker 2: That's a good spot to be in.
- 16:47Speaker 6: Yeah, because I can also not show up the next year.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's fine. Speaking of good spots to be in. Right,
- 17:00Speaker 2: if you are flying over the holidays, keep your eyes
- 17:03Speaker 2: open because you might just see a miracle or two.
- 17:07Speaker 2: According to the International Air Transport Association, airlines have reported
- 17:12Speaker 2: a more than thirty percent surge in wheelchair assistance requests
- 17:17Speaker 2: at airports, with larger airports reporting even higher numbers. Flight
- 17:22Speaker 2: attendants say many are able bodied passengers seeking wheelchairs for
- 17:28Speaker 2: a so called VIP experience, an escorted trip down the
- 17:32Speaker 2: jetway that skips lines and secures early access to overhead
- 17:37Speaker 2: bin space. However, a large number miraculously stand and walk
- 17:43Speaker 2: unaided upon arrival, leading many to credit a divine intervention
- 17:48Speaker 2: known as Jetway Jesus for their sudden return to mobility.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Oh yeah, because they like it because you get to
- 17:58Speaker 3: board first.
- 17:59Speaker 1: But if you need wheelchair assistants and you're last off
- 18:03Speaker 1: the plane and they don't like that. So yeah, amazingly
- 18:06Speaker 1: they can walk. I saw that the last three times
- 18:08Speaker 1: I've flown, Like it's mind boggling.
- 18:13Speaker 2: The same for me. I would see people get pushed
- 18:16Speaker 2: through the terminal by the attendants in their wheelchairs. Then
- 18:20Speaker 2: they get right to the front of the line, doesn't
- 18:22Speaker 2: matter what group number they're supposed to be for whatever
- 18:25Speaker 2: they paid for, because they need the special assistance. They're
- 18:28Speaker 2: in the wheelchair. They get on first, and then you're
- 18:32Speaker 2: right trey. Once once the plane gets to where it's going, boo,
- 18:36Speaker 2: up they are and they're grabbing stuff out of the
- 18:38Speaker 2: overhead bin and they're ready to get off that plane
- 18:40Speaker 2: and go. It's a it's a it's a holy divine intervention,
- 18:45Speaker 2: and it's just lucky that we've been able to witness it.
- 18:48Speaker 4: Oh. My father, I can't even make this up.
- 18:54Speaker 6: He would always ask for a wheelchair and I was like,
- 18:57Speaker 6: what because diabetic? Right, But this was before any of
- 19:03Speaker 6: the congestive heart failure and any of the dimensions stuff.
- 19:07Speaker 6: He would always request because of his age. He's like,
- 19:11Speaker 6: watch this, We're gonna go right through security. And I'm like,
- 19:14Speaker 6: I will take And I did this because I guess morality.
- 19:19Speaker 6: I would go in the other line and he's like, no,
- 19:23Speaker 6: just come with me, just walk to walk with me,
- 19:26Speaker 6: pretend you have my nurse.
- 19:27Speaker 4: I was like, I look like you, what are the odds?
- 19:34Speaker 6: Yeah, and that man I watched him walk off a
- 19:38Speaker 6: plane one time carrying four bottles of Shivis.
- 19:42Speaker 4: The wheelchair was still waiting at the jetway.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:47Speaker 4: Yeah, so that was that was my father, So he
- 19:50Speaker 4: was he was one of those people.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Yeah, and you're right, I have I have witnessed this tray,
- 19:57Speaker 2: and especially when it's someone that's younger and you see
- 20:02Speaker 2: them being pushed by the wheelchair and it's like, really,
- 20:05Speaker 2: are you kind of a thing? Now, I have learned
- 20:08Speaker 2: that if we're talking like a handicap parking spot and
- 20:13Speaker 2: someone parks there and they walk out of the car
- 20:15Speaker 2: and they look completely fine physically, not everyone's handicaps are visible.
- 20:22Speaker 2: So I've learned that over the years. So you can't
- 20:27Speaker 2: just assume that someone is gaming the system if they
- 20:30Speaker 2: park in a handicap spot and they have the thing.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Although keep in mind that was something my family was
- 20:35Speaker 2: really big on. My grandmother had a handicap thing once
- 20:39Speaker 2: after a surgery, and it was supposed to be it
- 20:42Speaker 2: was supposed to expire after a certain amount of time.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Oh no, no, no, no, that thing kept getting renewed
- 20:49Speaker 2: and renewed. I don't know how. And next thing you know,
- 20:52Speaker 2: my aunt had one and my mom has one.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Because once they issue him typically there for life. But
- 21:02Speaker 1: I just can't imagine, I, okay, you're gaming the system.
- 21:07Speaker 1: You get the wheel. I would be so embarrassed. I
- 21:11Speaker 1: would at least have to wait and get wheeled off.
- 21:16Speaker 4: That's it. I would pretend to have polio and that's
- 21:20Speaker 4: not even a thing.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Now, don't worry, it's coming back.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Thanks, Okay, I would. I would pretend that I would
- 21:32Speaker 4: walk up like if I got out of the car.
- 21:33Speaker 6: I would limp, just so everybody looking is like, oh,
- 21:37Speaker 6: well that makes sense.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Well that's the thing that's that's so disgusting about people
- 21:44Speaker 2: these days is they don't even try to hide it
- 21:47Speaker 2: until they absolutely have to. You raj you Trey I
- 21:50Speaker 2: get it. If you're going to fake it, you are
- 21:52Speaker 2: going to fake it in its entirety. You are going
- 21:55Speaker 2: to go with that bit from beginning to end. As
- 21:58Speaker 2: soon as you park at the airport, you got the cart,
- 22:00Speaker 2: you're limping, you're limping into the terminal, you're limping through security,
- 22:04Speaker 2: your butts in the wheelchair, and you carry it all
- 22:09Speaker 2: the way through to the end. And then you wait
- 22:11Speaker 2: for the wheelchair, like you said, trade to take you
- 22:13Speaker 2: off the plane as well. So you've maintained the lie
- 22:18Speaker 2: the entire time. And I applaud that work ethic. So
- 22:22Speaker 2: many people don't have it these days. They only do
- 22:24Speaker 2: it for as much time as they absolutely have to
- 22:27Speaker 2: to get what they want, and then they're gone.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I think I would go as far if I really
- 22:34Speaker 1: were going to do it. I still have a boot
- 22:36Speaker 1: from what I broke my ankle. I would probably slap
- 22:37Speaker 1: that thing on just to give it some authenticity.
- 22:43Speaker 6: Even if it was on your army. Why do you
- 22:51Speaker 6: have a boot on your arm I'm not well.
- 22:55Speaker 2: You know what, This gives me a great idea for
- 22:58Speaker 2: a store at the airport, at the airport outside of security.
- 23:10Speaker 2: But you get your wheelchair right then and there.
- 23:14Speaker 4: What's the there's.
- 23:15Speaker 6: A luggage store that's like right when you go through security,
- 23:19Speaker 6: there's to me.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Is that the name of the uh that sounds right? Yeah?
- 23:23Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean you can have little little medical
- 23:26Speaker 2: you know, appendage detachment. You can have medical accessories. You
- 23:29Speaker 2: can have a little gas tank wheel wheeling around. You
- 23:34Speaker 2: can get slings, you should. You can get knee braces,
- 23:37Speaker 2: ankle braces. You can get one of those halo things
- 23:40Speaker 2: for your head. I'd be great what you want.
- 23:44Speaker 3: You don't even need to pay the rent.
- 23:46Speaker 1: You just need a car, and like it's like the
- 23:49Speaker 1: you know, remember the eighties, Like you people open up
- 23:51Speaker 1: their vests and they have watches and stuff.
- 23:53Speaker 3: You pop the truck.
- 23:54Speaker 1: You've got bootslings, crutches, walkers, the whole nine yards.
- 23:59Speaker 2: And if someone ask you what sort of career you're in,
- 24:02Speaker 2: you're like, I'm in medical sales.
- 24:06Speaker 1: You can have some X rays you get you know doctor,
- 24:08Speaker 1: I say, oh, yeah, this is yours.
- 24:09Speaker 4: Here and I'm Indian. I'll help you with those.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Hot in my mobile MRI van here. All it is
- 24:19Speaker 2: is just a printer just popping out MRI stuff with
- 24:22Speaker 2: circles on a go. Look, herniation or whatever neck braces
- 24:27Speaker 2: two for two for one.
- 24:30Speaker 4: Fuck clear? Uh clear?
- 24:37Speaker 6: I think it's ninety nine dollars a month. I'll so
- 24:40Speaker 6: you a boot for twenty.
- 24:41Speaker 2: That's right, and I'll be sold out by lunch.
- 24:48Speaker 6: On every boot it just says pay it forward, so
- 24:51Speaker 6: when you get done, when you get off your flight,
- 24:53Speaker 6: you just give it to the next person.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Yeah. And also I'll have a separate line of those
- 24:57Speaker 2: medical accessories. Uh, we'll have the one where you can
- 25:01Speaker 2: also hide a flask.
- 25:03Speaker 6: God damn, we're a mix of the Downies and the Kardashians.
- 25:07Speaker 6: I don't know what's happening right now.
- 25:08Speaker 3: I'm sorry, Roger.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I'm disappointed in you. No, you don't pay it forward.
- 25:11Speaker 1: You make those things where they fall apart after one use.
- 25:14Speaker 6: Goddamn right, Hey brother, I'm still I'm still eBay not tu.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean you can have like the uh god,
- 25:30Speaker 2: I'm not trying to get five stars. You're just trying
- 25:34Speaker 2: to give five bucks.
- 25:39Speaker 4: Not the most Indian ship you've ever said online a

- 26:30Speaker 2: slash Treehouse on Air. I'm in a tough spot when
- 26:40Speaker 2: you live on an island like I do on St.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Thomas and the US Virgin Islands. There's like fifty thousand
- 26:48Speaker 2: people here, so I mean it's not a tiny town,
- 26:50Speaker 2: but it is a small area and it's got a
- 26:53Speaker 2: small town field because you see a lot of the
- 26:55Speaker 2: same people you know when you go places, and your
- 26:59Speaker 2: option aren't limited when it comes to a number of industries.
- 27:03Speaker 2: What I'm beating around the Christmas pooping log here is
- 27:07Speaker 2: that I'm afraid I'm going to need a new plumber.
- 27:12Speaker 2: And there aren't many really good plumbers on this island
- 27:16Speaker 2: that I have found yet. And I found one, found
- 27:19Speaker 2: a really good one, and I can understand what he says.
- 27:23Speaker 2: He does really good work. He was a marine and
- 27:28Speaker 2: he's also going through a difficult time with his girlfriend.
- 27:32Speaker 2: And I'm now going to tell you how I know
- 27:35Speaker 2: about this. So yesterday is his name? Probably shouldn't have
- 27:41Speaker 2: said that. Hang on, let me let me just do
- 27:44Speaker 2: this here. I can fix it, all right? Is his name?
- 27:50Speaker 4: Whatever?
- 27:50Speaker 2: Already said anyway, I might need a new plumber because
- 27:54Speaker 2: he's having a difficult time with his girlfriend. Yesterday he
- 27:56Speaker 2: came over to help me switch out some cistern filters okay,
- 28:01Speaker 2: and also sink stuff. Then this morning when I wake up,
- 28:09Speaker 2: he has sent a few texts.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Yes, we've seen these movies. Dan.
- 28:25Speaker 2: This is the reason why I debated even telling you
- 28:27Speaker 2: guys about this, because I knew you were gonna twist
- 28:29Speaker 2: it and turn it into something that it's not.
- 28:33Speaker 4: I just don't know why. I think like Tray sometimes.
- 28:40Speaker 4: But he saw his face and I was like, I'll wait.
- 28:45Speaker 2: So Renee comes over because I needed a couple of
- 28:48Speaker 2: things changed. The plumber comes over. I needed a couple
- 28:53Speaker 2: of things changed, and then the idea was for him
- 28:58Speaker 2: to come back, and then I needed a quote on
- 29:00Speaker 2: some other work okay, and then he was going to
- 29:02Speaker 2: come back today to finish it. Right. The problem is
- 29:07Speaker 2: he sent a couple of texts last night, and I
- 29:10Speaker 2: don't know if I'm ever going to hear from him again,
- 29:12Speaker 2: because he sent texts that were not intended for me.
- 29:16Speaker 2: In fact, they said, mm hmm. Up here, babe, I'm
- 29:22Speaker 2: still the same person you've loved. It was a bad day,
- 29:27Speaker 2: but know that I love you and I miss you.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Let me show you how much I miss you. And
- 29:33Speaker 2: then a photograph. Uh uh. I have now seen way
- 29:39Speaker 2: more of my plumber than anyone ever should.
- 29:43Speaker 4: And take it away.
- 29:47Speaker 2: And it is not lost on me that he was
- 29:49Speaker 2: supposed to come back today to replace my p trap.
- 29:55Speaker 6: Or you're ovalbum like that.
- 30:01Speaker 4: But here's the thing, the greatest thing in the world.
- 30:04Speaker 2: But here's the thing. There aren't that many really good
- 30:06Speaker 2: plumbers on the island. So I found a good one
- 30:11Speaker 2: and I don't want him to be embarrassed. I want,
- 30:14Speaker 2: I need him to come back and do the work.
- 30:17Speaker 4: Also, how many dance does Rene love? So?
- 30:24Speaker 2: I mean, I get it, it's awkward, but bro, I
- 30:27Speaker 2: need some help.
- 30:32Speaker 4: Uh can So he thought he was messaging his girlfriend.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Yeah, or he thought he and I have a way
- 30:41Speaker 2: different relationship than I thought.
- 30:44Speaker 4: God, I hope it's the latter.
- 30:49Speaker 1: At any point, did you uh scream?
- 30:54Speaker 3: Didn't scream? If these pipes are clean?
- 30:56Speaker 2: No, don't you victim blame me. This is not my fault.
- 31:01Speaker 2: I woke up this morning and I saw a couple
- 31:03Speaker 2: of texts from him, expecting them to say something along
- 31:06Speaker 2: the lines of I'll be over at eight am or
- 31:09Speaker 2: stopping to get parts, then I'll be on my way,
- 31:12Speaker 2: And instead it's him telling his girlfriend he loves her
- 31:16Speaker 2: and that he misses her, and he wants to show
- 31:18Speaker 2: her how much he misses her by sending me a
- 31:21Speaker 2: photo of his pipe.
- 31:25Speaker 4: PBC or copper copper. So he's pierced, good to know.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Oh no, he's just he's very tan.
- 31:35Speaker 6: Oh hence renee. Oh wow, Well, I mean, now, how
- 31:41Speaker 6: do you okay? So let's say he comes back, even
- 31:44Speaker 6: if he's the best plumber in the world, he comes
- 31:47Speaker 6: back tomorrow to.
- 31:50Speaker 4: I hate to say, finish the job, because Trey's gonna
- 31:52Speaker 4: laugh before we.
- 31:56Speaker 6: You know, he comes over to right and then you
- 32:01Speaker 6: have to look at him and go, what do I
- 32:05Speaker 6: owe you? He can't charge you after that.
- 32:09Speaker 2: I know. So that's why it's kind of a good
- 32:11Speaker 2: news bad news rock and a hard place type situation
- 32:14Speaker 2: for me, it is we're really going to stop walking into.
- 32:22Speaker 4: Those You have the worst LinkedIn profile.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Or the best that'll stand out on LinkedIn let me
- 32:33Speaker 2: tell you, or porn hub. I don't know which one
- 32:38Speaker 2: you use to get you can copy and paste both profiles.
- 32:46Speaker 4: Now, okay, so do you call him again? Do you
- 32:49Speaker 4: have to.
- 32:51Speaker 6: Go another shot and go, hey, man, I think you
- 32:53Speaker 6: messed up. You got to tell him right as a
- 32:55Speaker 6: as a dude. Okay, man, I think you messed up,
- 32:58Speaker 6: and that was that was me and Stuf you. I
- 33:00Speaker 6: know you're trying to send it to a girl. You're
- 33:02Speaker 6: having a rough day. I get that.
- 33:04Speaker 2: I don't know if I should say anything. If anything,
- 33:06Speaker 2: I want to send something to him that like takes
- 33:10Speaker 2: up the text screen, like a link to a dumb
- 33:13Speaker 2: you know, video or a dumb TikTok or something. So
- 33:16Speaker 2: that way, maybe just maybe in his own mind, he
- 33:19Speaker 2: can think maybe maybe maybe this guy didn't see it
- 33:23Speaker 2: and it's pushed to the top. Or if I send
- 33:25Speaker 2: him something that's a video like a TikTok thing, it'll
- 33:28Speaker 2: push his text above mine, So then that way maybe
- 33:32Speaker 2: he won't then realize that he sent me those texts
- 33:35Speaker 2: although not that I'm saying that it's it's already middle
- 33:38Speaker 2: of the day here. It's far too late. He knows
- 33:39Speaker 2: what he did, and I don't think he's going to
- 33:42Speaker 2: be coming today, and I but.
- 33:43Speaker 4: I I think he is.
- 33:51Speaker 2: I just I don't want to call more attention to
- 33:53Speaker 2: it than than then. I know he knows that it
- 33:56Speaker 2: already has been.
- 34:00Speaker 3: And what kind of videos would you be sending him?
- 34:02Speaker 2: I'm not sending any videos.
- 34:04Speaker 3: You said you wanted to send him a video to you,
- 34:07Speaker 3: that's what you just said.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Yeah, oh god, sorry, yes, yeah, I would do I
- 34:13Speaker 2: would do something like that, like I don't care what
- 34:14Speaker 2: it is. It could be like the dog chasing a squirrel.
- 34:18Speaker 2: I don't There's something completely I don't know, just something
- 34:21Speaker 2: to push the text up to where he might think
- 34:24Speaker 2: that I didn't see it, or he won't know that
- 34:26Speaker 2: he sent it.
- 34:29Speaker 6: So in your community, dog chasing a squirrel, what does
- 34:32Speaker 6: that actual video look like?
- 34:34Speaker 2: Honestly, I don't know, because we don't have squirrels here.
- 34:36Speaker 2: It have to be like a dog chasing on iguana
- 34:38Speaker 2: or a hermit crab or something.
- 34:41Speaker 4: I'm just wondering in the docking or a rooster.
- 34:51Speaker 6: And can you dress up as in a Star Trek
- 34:56Speaker 6: uniform so we can have h spot on a cock.
- 34:59Speaker 4: That would be great. Uh.
- 35:05Speaker 2: I know I'm going to regret this, but I'm going
- 35:07Speaker 2: to tell you anyway that the name of his company
- 35:09Speaker 2: is Rooster Plumbing.
- 35:16Speaker 4: Yeah it is, and we're out now right happy.
- 35:26Speaker 6: Uhcall that from a mile of way.
- 35:34Speaker 2: I think it's because Trey's been here and he's seen
- 35:36Speaker 2: the guy's vand uh, you've seen more than that.
- 35:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Anyway, if anyone knows of any good plumbers on the
- 35:53Speaker 2: island of Saint Thomas, please let me know.
