Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the Brain's Body Podcast, hosted by Dr.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Christopher K.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: Slayton.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: Today's conversation is about human system science as the study of how humans live, learn, think, and respond through the crisis of self as sense and receive path disruption.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: The brain is the body because the received path is a neural response system.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: The body is the living transformation of brain activity, shaping how we think and respond through the way the brain talks back.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: This podcast is a space to learn how to move through the crisis of self through brain talk and toward brain thinking.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: Let's begin with the crisis of self not being able to think through states of mind.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: The hardest reality for many people to come to terms with is that they must live inside a body while the brain must work through the body to reflect on the experience of self.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: First, the solution, the brain's body.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: The brain's body is the ultimate experience of self because the brain and body communicate through the senses.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Through this communication, self-awareness is not simply observed from the outside but gathered through the living interaction of brain, body, and sense experience.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: Now the problem, the body's mind.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: The body's mind is the physical sense of self being constantly shaped by environmental experience.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: It reflects states of mind that are often read through externally driven feedback.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: When this process remains fixed in resistance, the person stays in static states of response rather than developing the flexibility to think through and reflect on what is being experienced.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: So what is the answer?
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: The brain must learn the body, and the body must live with the brain through the senses.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: A person must learn how to distinguish the way the brain reads states of mind as externally driven feedback.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: But understanding self on the outside is not the same as becoming more aware of self on the inside.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: The brain responds by gathering from states of resistance where response becomes static, and through stages of acceptance, where flexibility to respond becomes possible.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Through the synthesis of external and internal interaction, the person can begin to sense feel how memory, emotion, thought, and reflection move together in the experience of self.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: In this way, the brain does not simply observe the body.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: It learns how the body is living while the body comes to live with the brain in the ongoing formation of self-awareness.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: This is human system science moving through the crisis of self toward brain thinking by learning how to work with self-talk and reflection as forms of brain learning, learning how the brain responds through brain talk.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: At this point, brain and body communicate through higher stages of sense and receive path function, generating forward and backward feedback loops.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: This is the work of learning how the brain talks back.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: The Brain's Body Podcast is a learning space for listeners, learners, and students who want to better understand how humans live, learn, think, and respond through the crisis of self.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Follow and subscribe to participate in an ongoing process of brain talk, brain thinking, and sense and receive path learning, where information, reflection, and feedback work together over time to deepen awareness of how the brain talks back.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: The Brain's Body Podcast introduces human system science through conversations about how humans live, learn, think, and respond in the crisis of self.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Each episode explores brain talk, brain thinking, and sense and receive path disruption to help listeners, learners, and students better understand how the brain and body communicate through the experience of self.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: Follow and subscribe to join a growing learning space built for reflection, information processing, and ongoing participation.
