- 0:08Speaker 1: Well, I invited you here, thought I made myself perfectly clear.
- 0:17Speaker 2: But you're a guess to my home.
- 0:21Speaker 1: You gotta come to me empty, And I said, no, guess,
- 0:27Speaker 1: your presences presents enough. I already had too much stuff.
- 0:35Speaker 2: So how did you dare to surbey me? Welcome to
- 0:50Speaker 2: I said, no gifts, temperature winegar. We are in the backyard.
- 0:56Speaker 2: You know, we're just doing studio or backyard on a
- 0:59Speaker 2: case by basis. Usually the cases that I want to
- 1:02Speaker 2: be in the backyard. And that's how I felt today.
- 1:07Speaker 2: So we're back here. It's lovely. What else is going on?
- 1:12Speaker 2: Just keep reminding you about the upcoming live show. I
- 1:14Speaker 2: mean it's closing in in a way that we should
- 1:16Speaker 2: all be panicking at this point. If there are tickets left,
- 1:20Speaker 2: you can get one. Otherwise you can get the live stream,
- 1:23Speaker 2: and you know, just a reminder. We have Bow and Yang,
- 1:26Speaker 2: we have Jeff Hiller, we have Sydney Washington and music
- 1:30Speaker 2: from Fen Lily. I mean, if this doesn't do it
- 1:33Speaker 2: for you, unsubscribe, stop subscribing to your cable service or
- 1:38Speaker 2: your internet service. Just leave the grid, because I don't
- 1:41Speaker 2: need you anymore. Now, is there anything else going on?
- 1:45Speaker 2: Thank God? I have that to talk about because there's
- 1:47Speaker 2: simply nothing else happening in my life. I am wearing
- 1:50Speaker 2: a belt, so that's you know, maybe I'm try wearing
- 1:56Speaker 2: a belt a little more often. I'm trying to just
- 1:58Speaker 2: look like a put together person. Okay, let's get into
- 2:02Speaker 2: the podcast. I adore today's guest. It's Genevieve Angelson. Genevieve,
- 2:08Speaker 2: welcome to I said no gifts.
- 2:09Speaker 3: I've already broken. I'm wearing a belt because I identify
- 2:18Speaker 3: so deep.
- 2:18Speaker 2: You've got a belt on. Is this a recent edition?
- 2:21Speaker 3: I'm really glad you noticed. This is actually all of
- 2:24Speaker 3: this is stolen.
- 2:28Speaker 2: From from a retailer or from a friend, a family member.
- 2:33Speaker 3: From the costumes department on a television show called The
- 2:36Speaker 3: Chicken Sister. Oh.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Getting free clothing from a costume department. I mean, that's
- 2:41Speaker 2: the ultimate.
- 2:42Speaker 3: It's so much harder to do than people realize. People
- 2:46Speaker 3: think you get to keep all of your costumes. I've
- 2:48Speaker 3: kept almost none over the years. They never offer this person.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Ariana Priest was just such a homie that I was
- 2:55Speaker 3: able to look her in the eye and say, I'm
- 2:59Speaker 3: not doing this blank.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Twice I'm not going because it kind of wasn't under
- 3:04Speaker 2: the table transaction.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Was It absolutely wasn't under the table transaction. That's right.
- 3:10Speaker 2: What else are they going to do with those clothes though,
- 3:12Speaker 2: it's like they were made or picked out for you
- 3:16Speaker 2: for the actors.
- 3:17Speaker 3: That's right.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Just let them have the clothes.
- 3:20Speaker 3: They're not going to return them to Tzara. That Zara's
- 3:23Speaker 3: moved on.
- 3:24Speaker 2: That's another type of production. That's the sort of thing
- 3:27Speaker 2: I'm making. Save all of the receipts, don't take any
- 3:30Speaker 2: of the tags off. We're taking this back. We don't
- 3:33Speaker 2: have the budget for this.
- 3:34Speaker 3: I like to think. I think ostensibly they keep all
- 3:37Speaker 3: the costumes in case there is some sort of a
- 3:41Speaker 3: either a reshoot or some sort of a plot line
- 3:43Speaker 3: that means that you have a flashback and you need that.
- 3:48Speaker 3: I like to think that they hold on to them
- 3:50Speaker 3: because what they're going to do at Hallmark Plus is
- 3:52Speaker 3: they're going to have a charity auction and that the
- 3:56Speaker 3: show is going to be so successful that just that
- 4:00Speaker 3: costume that I wear and that one montage frame is
- 4:04Speaker 3: going to garner millions.
- 4:08Speaker 2: For thousand, climate change, climate change, animal rescue. It's going
- 4:15Speaker 2: to solve every issue, or it's going to be on
- 4:18Speaker 2: one of those a mannequins at Planet Hollywood when they reopen,
- 4:22Speaker 2: when they relaunch Planet Hollywood as a restaurant.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Just the fact that I've stolen this costume is why
- 4:29Speaker 3: we will all die from climate change. That I am
- 4:32Speaker 3: so so selfish.
- 4:34Speaker 2: But look, listen to this. I already have a storyline
- 4:37Speaker 2: for next season Genevieve's character. I don't know what's the
- 4:40Speaker 2: character's name. May her favorite belt has gone missing. There
- 4:44Speaker 2: you go, she never finds the favorite belt again, because
- 4:46Speaker 2: it's actually at your home.
- 4:47Speaker 3: I'd watch it.
- 4:48Speaker 2: There we go, Hallmark, Hallmark Plus.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Is that what we're tekting right? It's a new stream reach.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Out to me, Hallmark reach out. I've got storylines galore,
- 4:58Speaker 2: most of them to do with belts and excess sprace.
- 5:01Speaker 2: I got a belt I speaking of stolen belt, I
- 5:03Speaker 2: actually did steal one a few months ago from a
- 5:06Speaker 2: thrift store in Utah. Beautiful green belt with kind of
- 5:10Speaker 2: a space age buckle. It's definitely a women's belt, but
- 5:13Speaker 2: it's like, this is for me.
- 5:15Speaker 3: I can't even picture a space age buckle. What did
- 5:18Speaker 3: they wear? Buckles? Do they wear?
- 5:21Speaker 2: It's kind of I would say Jetson's esque. If that
- 5:23Speaker 2: makes any sense. Sure, what's the wife's name on the Jetson's.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Not ready, That's the only one I can.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Think, Samantha no on a lease, Jane, Jane, Jane Jetson
- 5:36Speaker 2: playing Jane.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Jetson, snipering in with the all time?
- 5:40Speaker 2: What's the husband's name? Now? I'm just gonna I was
- 5:42Speaker 2: going to sing, and then I realized I couldn't. George George,
- 5:46Speaker 2: Oh yeah, of course George. I can only think of
- 5:48Speaker 2: the Flintstones theme song. Is it similar to the Jetson's
- 5:52Speaker 2: We're the Jetson?
- 5:54Speaker 3: Oh no, no it it's Do Do.
- 5:58Speaker 2: No.
- 5:58Speaker 3: That's I dream of.
- 6:02Speaker 2: That's my dream of Genie or but Witch. That sounds
- 6:05Speaker 2: like a love boat to me or something. That's what
- 6:12Speaker 2: I hear. We have to be able to just we're
- 6:14Speaker 2: talking over dissecting.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Okay, no, Judson's is Jetson's Meet the Jetson right now?
- 6:20Speaker 4: You're doing You're flint Stones. I met George.
- 6:24Speaker 2: That's it his boy. Al Right, Well, now I know
- 6:29Speaker 2: why we don't remember it. It's that's barely a song
- 6:34Speaker 2: compared to the flint Stones. Oh well, the Jetson's they
- 6:38Speaker 2: need to rethink, maybe go back in with computers and
- 6:41Speaker 2: replace that. All of the old episodes, they're solid on buckles. Buckle,
- 6:47Speaker 2: back to the buckle. We cannot forget this buckle. It's
- 6:49Speaker 2: gorgeous gold. The belt is green. I thought this is
- 6:52Speaker 2: the accessory for me. It was too big, as most
- 6:56Speaker 2: belts i'm learning are outside of Dren's belts.
- 7:00Speaker 3: If you don't know Bridger, he's very spelt.
- 7:03Speaker 2: I'm a tiny little bug.
- 7:05Speaker 3: I would not describe you as tiny.
- 7:07Speaker 2: I just many people have, many people have.
- 7:12Speaker 3: I thought you were going to be more like Conan
- 7:14Speaker 3: in person.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I will say, oh, taller, yes, wow, you're going to
- 7:18Speaker 2: be very tall to be putting out that energy you are.
- 7:21Speaker 2: That's bad for a small person to be putting out
- 7:23Speaker 2: tall energy. That doesn't work, that's bad.
- 7:26Speaker 3: It does not read as you know insecurity.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Oh I'm looking right at the camera. That's bad news.
- 7:34Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 7:35Speaker 2: A small person with a tall personality.
- 7:38Speaker 3: No, here's what I just imagined you as a young
- 7:41Speaker 3: buck in Utah, tall, closeted and thoughtful. And I just thought,
- 7:48Speaker 3: you know, up there in the clouds you were having
- 7:50Speaker 3: really important.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Tall closeted and thoughtful. The Bridger Winders Story hall Mark
- 7:59Speaker 2: reach Out there's the next show.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Did we gloss over that you stole this bat?
- 8:04Speaker 2: Okay, yes, it was stolen from Deseret Industries. Now they're
- 8:07Speaker 2: gonna put my picture up on the wall. That's name
- 8:09Speaker 2: of the thrift store. It's a chain of thrift stores
- 8:11Speaker 2: through Utah, which I just apparently can't stop stealing from.
- 8:14Speaker 2: I've been stealing there since high school. But I stole
- 8:18Speaker 2: the belt. Thought this looks great, but it was too big,
- 8:22Speaker 2: so I ordered a belt whole punch. Have you ever
- 8:25Speaker 2: seen one of these things?
- 8:27Speaker 3: Yes, But I'm I'm really I'm having a hard time
- 8:30Speaker 3: moving on from how competently you're to shop.
- 8:35Speaker 2: But I'm just asking them to take me to court.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Bearing them really.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Ruin me. Deseret Industries, come at me. This could all
- 8:47Speaker 2: be a lie. I'm lying. This is all for show,
- 8:51Speaker 2: for my to make people think I have a tall personality.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Also that no one wanted the green and belt with
- 8:56Speaker 3: the space age bucket.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Oh this, I mean this is it was an absolute
- 9:01Speaker 2: uh what is it called the rough jam? And so
- 9:03Speaker 2: I brought it home. I bought the belt punch, which
- 9:06Speaker 2: I suggest everyone does. It's like nine dollars or something,
- 9:09Speaker 2: such an efficient product. And then I used it to
- 9:12Speaker 2: ruin the belt because I went crazy. I made a
- 9:16Speaker 2: whole bunch of holes in it, and they're all over
- 9:19Speaker 2: the place. And now the belt is unwearable and there's
- 9:23Speaker 2: no there's no turning back, there's no like putting glue
- 9:27Speaker 2: in there or anything. It's now this beautiful thing hanging
- 9:29Speaker 2: in that I just can't use.
- 9:30Speaker 3: This is very challenging because there's no worse podcast fodder
- 9:36Speaker 3: than the sound of me laughing all the time. I
- 9:39Speaker 3: have to keep moving the mic away.
- 9:41Speaker 4: We're going allowed to laugh into the mic. Gennepebo was
- 9:43Speaker 4: gonna tell you can.
- 9:44Speaker 2: We're editing all of your audio out, so it's just
- 9:46Speaker 2: me yelling into the air what I say.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Every time they do someone else's coverage on my show.
- 9:51Speaker 3: I'm never going to use.
- 9:52Speaker 2: It, and Broly should I go. I want to go
- 9:53Speaker 2: get the belt, just to show you how embarrassing this
- 9:56Speaker 2: is for everybody. I'll be right back.
- 10:00Speaker 3: I hear the little jingle jangle of Santa Sleigh, but
- 10:04Speaker 3: in fact, here it comes. It's belt.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Okay, I have the belt and I've rolled it up
- 10:10Speaker 2: because I want to do kind of a reveal. We'll
- 10:12Speaker 2: start with a good part. So look at this belt buckle.
- 10:15Speaker 2: I mean it's.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Beautiful, not at all what I picture.
- 10:18Speaker 2: A little tarnished, but gorgeous.
- 10:20Speaker 3: It's really it's beautiful.
- 10:22Speaker 2: It's very dark green. In this light, it's almost black,
- 10:25Speaker 2: but it is green.
- 10:26Speaker 3: It's my favorite shade of green. In fact, I've been
- 10:28Speaker 3: looking for chairs in that color.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Belt in this color.
- 10:31Speaker 3: I need to take a picture of it.
- 10:32Speaker 2: And now we're going to do the slow reveal of
- 10:34Speaker 2: how many holes have been punched into this? Oh my god, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten,
- 10:45Speaker 2: I think eleven. There's so many.
- 10:48Speaker 3: What was it just so satisfying that you couldn't stop?
- 10:50Speaker 2: No, I was panicing.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Oh maybe you were. I had like a tapeworm or something,
- 10:55Speaker 3: and you were in a process of drastic I'm.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Just doing this in the hospital weight loss. I was
- 11:03Speaker 2: rapidly shrinking while putting it on, getting smaller and smaller.
- 11:06Speaker 2: It had some sort of potion. But that's just simply ruined.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I mean, there's no.
- 11:11Speaker 3: I guess this point is the right one for you.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I don't think any of these I still think none
- 11:17Speaker 2: of them work for me. But now I'm thinking maybe
- 11:20Speaker 2: I just put holes all around.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Sure that was part of the I'm sorry what happened?
- 11:29Speaker 2: It looks like there were initially one, two, three, i'll say,
- 11:33Speaker 2: probably four holes in this now then we started going
- 11:37Speaker 2: crazy and ended up putting at least six to seven
- 11:42Speaker 2: more holes in it.
- 11:43Speaker 3: And it was just that you couldn't get it tight enough,
- 11:46Speaker 3: I guess so or And it wasn't about the satisfaction
- 11:49Speaker 3: of just.
- 11:50Speaker 2: It is very satisfying thing. I will say that. So
- 11:52Speaker 2: that may have played into it a little bit, because
- 11:54Speaker 2: you're like, success, I got another hole in it. But look,
- 11:57Speaker 2: I mean it's just like they're not even in a row.
- 11:59Speaker 2: I mean, this is somebody who was having an absolute meltdown.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't even know how to describe it.
- 12:07Speaker 2: I mean, it's sad.
- 12:09Speaker 3: I don't think all is lost. I think it's really beautiful.
- 12:14Speaker 2: I do.
- 12:14Speaker 3: And it just looks like little ants scurrying off to
- 12:18Speaker 3: their home empty handed.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Might But now what I'm thinking is I wonder if
- 12:24Speaker 2: I can take it somewhere and they just cut it
- 12:27Speaker 2: and then turn, you know, like, what is the belt
- 12:31Speaker 2: equivalent of a cobbler. Maybe a cobbler does that.
- 12:33Speaker 3: I bet you could do it.
- 12:35Speaker 2: They just flip it and seal it or whatever. Yeah,
- 12:38Speaker 2: and then and you know that the cobbler's got his
- 12:40Speaker 2: hands around my waist and he's breathing in.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Take care of that.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Oh great, this is having an affair with this cobbler.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Erotic.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Yes, up a little bit, and he says, I think
- 12:52Speaker 2: we can work with this, and then he fixes my belt.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Otherwise I'm not sure what to do with it. But
- 12:59Speaker 2: that's you know, this is sometimes you just have to
- 13:02Speaker 2: reveal how.
- 13:03Speaker 3: I kind of want you to put it on. I
- 13:05Speaker 3: kind of want to put it on.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Should I put it on?
- 13:06Speaker 3: Put it on? He does have just an incredibly delicate waist,
- 13:13Speaker 3: broad shouldered. This is for the listener of the viewer.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Listener, I've taken my first belt off. I'm slow. I
- 13:20Speaker 2: was on my way to undressing, but now we're immediately
- 13:22Speaker 2: dressing again with this belt that does not fit me
- 13:26Speaker 2: and looks like somebody who's on the verge of doing
- 13:30Speaker 2: something very dangerous. So it is okay. So it is
- 13:34Speaker 2: simply too big. So now we're getting to the final hole.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Uh huh, oh, I do see what the problem is.
- 13:42Speaker 3: What is that disease where people are having a like
- 13:46Speaker 3: an allergic reaction that is terror from looking at too many.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Oh, all right, the or something something like that.
- 13:56Speaker 3: It's people who are devastatingly triggered by iPhones because of
- 14:00Speaker 3: those three right clusters.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Yeah, this could really send some people into a tissy.
- 14:04Speaker 3: That's right.
- 14:06Speaker 2: I thought you were going to say the disease where
- 14:08Speaker 2: people have holes in them. It's like racking my brain
- 14:12Speaker 2: being shot by a machine gun.
- 14:13Speaker 3: I think that's what happens to you when you contract ebola.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Oh interesting, maybe that's just something I made up in
- 14:19Speaker 2: my nightmare. I mean, but ultimately do I'm going to
- 14:25Speaker 2: ask both of you, Analis Genevieve, is this belt worth saving?
- 14:28Speaker 3: Yes? It does need a life veest.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Okay, it does need It's got too many, too many holes.
- 14:35Speaker 2: It's embarrassing. But now that you know, now that I've
- 14:38Speaker 2: revealed it publicly, I feel like it's probably probably time
- 14:42Speaker 2: to go to the cobbler. You know.
- 14:43Speaker 3: I think maybe if you put a grammet in the
- 14:45Speaker 3: holes and made them look really intentional, there could be
- 14:48Speaker 3: a kind of a kind of a S and M
- 14:51Speaker 3: very punk. Yeah. Yeah, and yet Ralph Lauren, because it's
- 14:55Speaker 3: that beautiful shade of green.
- 14:58Speaker 2: And then I was as discussed essence. So it's a
- 15:01Speaker 2: whole stew of things that we'll have people asking what
- 15:04Speaker 2: is he wearing that in public?
- 15:06Speaker 3: For yah, see the Jetsy.
- 15:08Speaker 2: But I do like the color. It does feel like
- 15:10Speaker 2: I'm being taught a lesson for stealing. I think that
- 15:12Speaker 2: that's ultimately but I'm gonna, you know, I'm going to
- 15:16Speaker 2: teach the universe a little something, and I'm gonna have
- 15:19Speaker 2: a beautiful belt from a cobbler. Cobblers reach out. Okay, well,
- 15:26Speaker 2: we've talked about this belt for probably fifteen to twenty
- 15:30Speaker 2: minutes at this point, and that's totally fine. How are you?
- 15:34Speaker 3: I'm well, I'm a little sleepy, a little foggy. There's
- 15:38Speaker 3: a full moon on top of us right now. I
- 15:41Speaker 3: don't know if that's a thing that's that effects sleep.
- 15:45Speaker 3: I would say just about everything affects my sleep, but
- 15:48Speaker 3: the full moon is said that one of the symptoms
- 15:51Speaker 3: can be that it wakes people up, and it did
- 15:53Speaker 3: that for me last night.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Because it's too bright, or just because the gravitational pull.
- 15:59Speaker 3: I think I'm about to practice real armchair astrology right now.
- 16:04Speaker 3: But I think that the idea is that the moon,
- 16:08Speaker 3: it affects your emotions and so particularly a Pisces moon,
- 16:12Speaker 3: which is what this full moon is, which is a
- 16:15Speaker 3: very watery emotional sign. It's going to have a consequences
- 16:19Speaker 3: for how you feel. To say nothing of the fact
- 16:22Speaker 3: that we are also having a lunar eclipse. Oh, the
- 16:25Speaker 3: lunar eclipse right now today?
- 16:28Speaker 2: Is this something I can see? I always miss the eclipses.
- 16:31Speaker 3: I think a lunar eclipse is something you are allowed
- 16:35Speaker 3: to look at. Solar not so much unless you're running for.
- 16:38Speaker 2: President, unless you we're president.
- 16:41Speaker 3: We're a president, have been a president. That's right.
- 16:44Speaker 2: I will say. That's the one thing I'm like, maybe
- 16:47Speaker 2: that is the one thing Donald Trump did for us,
- 16:49Speaker 2: which is say, look, you can look at you can
- 16:51Speaker 2: look directly at an eclipse and not go completely blind.
- 16:54Speaker 2: And so if we're ever tempted, we can say, well,
- 16:57Speaker 2: unless he is blind and he's just not telling us,
- 16:59Speaker 2: which is probably true.
- 17:02Speaker 3: You might go certifiably insane. Your eyesight you can keep.
- 17:07Speaker 2: That was the one piece of leadership that he did, right,
- 17:09Speaker 2: which was stared directly into the sun during an eclipse,
- 17:13Speaker 2: and not MythBusters. Yeah, Donald Trump's MythBusters. Register to vote,
- 17:22Speaker 2: Register to vote, Register to vote.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Today.
- 17:24Speaker 3: I think today is like National Register to Vote day.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Oh you're kidding, Well, not the day that this airs,
- 17:29Speaker 3: but today, the day that we're recording.
- 17:31Speaker 2: And I assume by the time this comes out it's
- 17:34Speaker 2: still okay to register to vote. You can register pretty
- 17:36Speaker 2: late to vote. Listener, look into it for your state.
- 17:40Speaker 2: You know, it's just such a scary time. Okay, So
- 17:43Speaker 2: you've been the moon has been bothering you, So you're tired.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Are you a big astrology person?
- 17:50Speaker 3: I actually am, which gives me no pride to admit,
- 17:54Speaker 3: but I find it to be so compelling. And when
- 17:59Speaker 3: you think about the fact that the moon, for instance,
- 18:02Speaker 3: can control bodies of water as large as oceans, you
- 18:06Speaker 3: have to imagine that similarly, it can have an effect
- 18:09Speaker 3: on a body of water as small as your own body. Interesting,
- 18:12Speaker 3: And so I like to think of astrology in the
- 18:15Speaker 3: following way. It's basically, let me try to find an
- 18:19Speaker 3: articulate way to put this, it's basically a weather forecast.
- 18:24Speaker 3: To think, you know, we are able to say, you know,
- 18:27Speaker 3: it's going to rain on this day and the sun's
- 18:29Speaker 3: going to come out on this day. How you feel
- 18:31Speaker 3: about that is just how you feel about the rain.
- 18:34Speaker 3: But it will be raining, So to follow something like
- 18:37Speaker 3: mercury is in retrograde that is going to affect your
- 18:40Speaker 3: particular astrological chart in whatever way that your chart is
- 18:47Speaker 3: going to be affected by that. I'm doing such a
- 18:49Speaker 3: bad job at being that.
- 18:51Speaker 2: We're very clear for a while, and you kind of
- 18:52Speaker 2: petered off, and that's fine because I think that you've
- 18:55Speaker 2: just expressed exactly what needed to be expressed.
- 18:58Speaker 3: I think the idea is that there is somehow a
- 19:03Speaker 3: correlation between if we were to put this in Western terms,
- 19:07Speaker 3: like magnetism of different planets in space with our planet,
- 19:14Speaker 3: and so we are therefore affected emotionally by the different
- 19:18Speaker 3: polls of these things. I have found it to be
- 19:22Speaker 3: very consistent. And when is your birthday?
- 19:24Speaker 2: October ninth? Okay, Jober ninth coming up? Everyone, don't forget
- 19:30Speaker 2: so you're a Libra. I'm a Libra, but for that
- 19:33Speaker 2: brief period for something else, so.
- 19:35Speaker 3: That what would be consistent about you being a Libra
- 19:38Speaker 3: is that you are the sign that is has this
- 19:41Speaker 3: sort of most beautiful placement for friendship and relationships, and
- 19:45Speaker 3: you have a whole podcast that's about getting to know people.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Oh interesting, you also.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Are a sign that's incredibly devoted to beauty. Oh, I'm
- 19:54Speaker 3: only mentioning this because people sort of connote libras with
- 19:57Speaker 3: being very into justice and very like hardwire for parody. Right,
- 20:01Speaker 3: also true.
- 20:03Speaker 2: For me, I mean the beauty thing, look at this belt. Obviously,
- 20:08Speaker 2: I am absolutely about justice and making sure everything's fair
- 20:15Speaker 2: and oh and the friend thing truly causes me a
- 20:18Speaker 2: lot of stress.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Well, I was gonna say, are you a little codependent?
- 20:21Speaker 2: Not? No, I'm not code. I'm actually very independent. But
- 20:25Speaker 2: where it causes trouble is I tend to like a
- 20:29Speaker 2: large swath of people. I can find something I enjoy
- 20:32Speaker 2: about anybody. There are a few, and when you're on
- 20:35Speaker 2: the opposite end, I'm I'm spreading the word about how
- 20:38Speaker 2: much I hate you. But for the rest of them,
- 20:41Speaker 2: I have all these people in my life that I like,
- 20:44Speaker 2: but especially within like this horrible entertainment business in Los Angeles,
- 20:49Speaker 2: most people don't like each other or jealous of each other,
- 20:52Speaker 2: So I like, I feel like I'm friends with people
- 20:54Speaker 2: who don't like each other frequently, and so there's always
- 20:58Speaker 2: the like, I have to invite this person, but then
- 21:00Speaker 2: I can't.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Invite this person that is codependent. That's codependent. Well, what
- 21:04Speaker 3: you just described is a little bit like that. It's
- 21:07Speaker 3: totally you are living in your own right to be
- 21:09Speaker 3: able to keep in your circle whoever you want, and
- 21:12Speaker 3: it's up to them to be You sort of give
- 21:15Speaker 3: them the respect and dignity of being adults by deciding
- 21:18Speaker 3: that they do or don't want to put themselves in
- 21:20Speaker 3: the container that you invite all of these people to.
- 21:22Speaker 2: But yeah, I guess that's interesting because that makes me
- 21:24Speaker 2: really uncomfortable.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Yeah, as opposed to I dignify all of my relationships
- 21:31Speaker 3: with love and respect, and I, you know, it's up
- 21:33Speaker 3: to those people to work out what they do and
- 21:35Speaker 3: don't want for themselves. But I don't change who I
- 21:38Speaker 3: am to please other people.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Right, Okay, So yeah, that is one element of me
- 21:42Speaker 2: that's unfortunate which I refuse to change.
- 21:48Speaker 3: So Sun Sin astrology is sort of a dangdong thing
- 21:51Speaker 3: to practice, which is to say, it's kind of like
- 21:53Speaker 3: saying a person is irish and so therefore they love
- 21:57Speaker 3: drinking and that's their whole personality. You have racism, that's right.
- 22:02Speaker 3: You have every planet in your chart. So to actually
- 22:07Speaker 3: talk about why you are the way you are, i'd
- 22:09Speaker 3: want to know about your rising sign, your moon sign
- 22:12Speaker 3: where your venus is placed.
- 22:14Speaker 2: All of these things, and see, these things are far
- 22:16Speaker 2: beyond my grasp. I simply know that I'm a Libra,
- 22:20Speaker 2: and I can't tell you anything else about who I am.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Oh I could talk about it's fright, But I do have.
- 22:24Speaker 2: My birth charts somewhere. I've got to find it, find
- 22:27Speaker 2: out more about who I am. Are you Irish?
- 22:30Speaker 3: I am? I'm Irish and Jewish?
- 22:32Speaker 2: Okay? Interesting, I've ever been a victim of Irish hatred?
- 22:38Speaker 2: I feel like we've kind of moved past that as
- 22:39Speaker 2: a society.
- 22:40Speaker 3: But you know, you don't know so many other things.
- 22:45Speaker 2: The Irish really took a beating for a minute.
- 22:47Speaker 3: They did, they did. I think you know, Turn of
- 22:49Speaker 3: the century in New York was a hard time, right.
- 22:52Speaker 3: It's been a minute since then.
- 22:55Speaker 2: I bet, I bet there's a select group out there
- 22:57Speaker 2: that are still like, Oh, the Irish.
- 23:00Speaker 3: People have asked me before if I've been the subject
- 23:02Speaker 3: of ginger. Oh, sure, hatred, hatred? What's the word discrimination?
- 23:08Speaker 2: Right? No, you've never felt any of that. No, not
- 23:11Speaker 2: even as a kid.
- 23:13Speaker 3: No. Wow, I was blonde for a while.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Secret, secret ginger.
- 23:23Speaker 3: To those people not watching who have no idea. Who
- 23:25Speaker 3: I am. Bridger and I are, in fact twins. If
- 23:27Speaker 3: you're wondering what I look like, we are identical.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Don't you lump me in with the Irish? This is Scottish.
- 23:35Speaker 2: I want nothing to do with the Irish.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Really, Oh, that's very exotic, very exotic.
- 23:42Speaker 2: No, I've been reading a lot of Irish literature recently.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Let's see, I've been reading. I've read two Claire Keegan books,
- 23:49Speaker 2: which were both beautiful. I read this book, The Beasting,
- 23:52Speaker 2: which was recommended to me, and then several others. I
- 23:56Speaker 2: don't know why Irish authors just keep coming into my life.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I guess because whatever, there must be some Irish traditionary.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Twin is Irish?
- 24:05Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly?
- 24:06Speaker 3: Is it? Lonely? Being a literate person in Los Angeles?
- 24:10Speaker 4: Is that hard?
- 24:12Speaker 2: It's very alienated?
- 24:13Speaker 3: How do you read? How do I read? You, Kennel,
- 24:16Speaker 3: I only know how to read screenplays?
- 24:18Speaker 2: And then my line, I feel like you could be
- 24:21Speaker 2: a reader. I read. You've got to do you read?
- 24:24Speaker 3: I do read?
- 24:25Speaker 2: How often?
- 24:26Speaker 3: Well?
- 24:26Speaker 2: Now I'm going to just force you to. I'm going
- 24:28Speaker 2: to call you out as a fraud.
- 24:30Speaker 3: I have a I do read. I'm currently reading a book,
- 24:34Speaker 3: but I'm I guess I struggle with the loneliness and
- 24:40Speaker 3: focus on when I'm on my own. Oh so often
- 24:43Speaker 3: when I'm on my own, I prefer to listen to
- 24:46Speaker 3: a podcast because I feel like I'm with a friend,
- 24:48Speaker 3: which is why I am actually and I said, no
- 24:51Speaker 3: gifts complete this, which is a mortifying thing.
- 24:54Speaker 2: We just found you back here, and you're like, I
- 24:56Speaker 2: guess we'll record something. I don't know what else to
- 24:59Speaker 2: do with you. Okay, that's interesting, that's fair, that's fair,
- 25:05Speaker 2: And I have no argument to get you back into reading.
- 25:08Speaker 3: No, I'm into reading. And I've found that there's almost
- 25:11Speaker 3: nothing more heartbreaking than finishing a book, because it's like
- 25:15Speaker 3: stepping away from a friend. You'll oh he has died.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Oh yes, and then the panic of where's my next.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Become a friend and what if this friend who's setting
- 25:24Speaker 3: me up on a date with this other friend is
- 25:26Speaker 3: wrong about what kinds of friends will be?
- 25:27Speaker 2: Oh? And then you're deep into that relationship and your
- 25:31Speaker 2: pages in you're bored. You're thinking, I can't get a divorce. Now.
- 25:36Speaker 2: That's that's a that's a tough feeling. But I mean, look,
- 25:41Speaker 2: speaking of struggling, having difficulty doing things, especially reading. You
- 25:47Speaker 2: obviously got some emails about this podcast. I said, no gifts.
- 25:51Speaker 2: The title was all over it just plastered on these emails,
- 25:54Speaker 2: I assume, and you agreed to be on the podcast,
- 25:59Speaker 2: and I I thought, genevievel come by or I'll find
- 26:03Speaker 2: her in the backyard kind of lurking, and we'll make
- 26:06Speaker 2: the best of it. We'll have a good time, and
- 26:08Speaker 2: then she'll be on her way. So I was floored
- 26:13Speaker 2: when I looked at you and saw that you were
- 26:16Speaker 2: holding a gift bank. Genevieve, is this a gift for me?
- 26:22Speaker 3: It is an Oh, I'm so, I know, I know,
- 26:25Speaker 3: I understand, and I really am embarrassed to trample your boundaries.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 26:31Speaker 3: My mother would be horrified if I showed up at
- 26:33Speaker 3: that hostess gift and host gift. And in the words
- 26:38Speaker 3: of Goldie Hon from my favorite movie, Private Benjamin, I
- 26:42Speaker 3: never show up anywhere empty handed. People of me. So
- 26:44Speaker 3: I'm hoping you'll overlook.
- 26:46Speaker 2: This, Goldie Hon. We love Goldiehan. There were a few
- 26:49Speaker 2: episodes ago and we thought we may have led her
- 26:52Speaker 2: into some danger as far as talking about her dying,
- 26:56Speaker 2: But then she didn't die, and she's still alive, but
- 26:59Speaker 2: now me bringing a back up, I'm just daring the
- 27:02Speaker 2: universe to kill poor Goldiehan, who we all love. She's
- 27:06Speaker 2: kind of.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Why would you do that?
- 27:08Speaker 2: I don't know. Goldie doesn't deserve this, I mean, I think,
- 27:13Speaker 2: I mean what she deserves is people talking about her
- 27:15Speaker 2: constantly because she's kind of a glowing, wonderful just a
- 27:19Speaker 2: fun presence, and so that's why we're talking about her.
- 27:22Speaker 2: But unfortunately that leads to me kind of jinxing her safety.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Why just my talking about her?
- 27:29Speaker 2: Because I say, I hope I think like a beetlejuice
- 27:32Speaker 2: thing some but oppositeian she suddenly appears. That's my dream.
- 27:46Speaker 2: Go in a dark bathroom and stare into a mirror
- 27:48Speaker 2: and say Goldiehan three times and you'll get a great tan.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Or like a really really great long term partner that.
- 27:57Speaker 2: You never will appear behind you. No, Goldiehan, we wish
- 28:05Speaker 2: nothing but health and.
- 28:06Speaker 3: Beauty and more Instagram posts.
- 28:08Speaker 2: More Instagram posts, whenever she wants, just dazzling the world
- 28:12Speaker 2: for decades. We love her. I don't even know where
- 28:16Speaker 2: to go from talking about Goldiehan. You brought a gift.
- 28:18Speaker 2: You're trying to distract me with Goldie Han, that's what
- 28:20Speaker 2: you're doing. Sorry, Should I open it here on the
- 28:22Speaker 2: podcast if you like? Okay, Well, it's in this kind
- 28:30Speaker 2: of gorgeous holographic bag, which I love. This is one
- 28:33Speaker 2: of my favorite types of gift bags. Silver, shimmering, taped,
- 28:38Speaker 2: taped shut, kind of a prank over staple, dangerous cut myself.
- 28:44Speaker 2: I'm reaching in and it's.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Actually two gifts. I'm so sorry.
- 28:47Speaker 2: I the right one first.
- 28:48Speaker 3: You may pull them both at.
- 28:50Speaker 2: The same time, okay, reaching, reaching, reaching, Oh, okay, So
- 28:56Speaker 2: the first one is a a bottle of it's marked.
- 29:01Speaker 2: It lets you know what how many or what type
- 29:03Speaker 2: of pills are in the bottle, whereas the other thing
- 29:07Speaker 2: that I'm looking at, Okay, it does tell you that
- 29:09Speaker 2: what this is, it's a gravel, gravel, gravel.
- 29:14Speaker 3: If I could give the world a gift, it would
- 29:17Speaker 3: be the gift of a good, nice rest, and I
- 29:20Speaker 3: think the world would be a much better place. So
- 29:23Speaker 3: something that the listener might not know about me is
- 29:26Speaker 3: that I am, in fact I hold the title is
- 29:29Speaker 3: the world's greatest insomniac. And oh it really a couple
- 29:33Speaker 3: of years ago almost murdered me my own body, my
- 29:38Speaker 3: inability to sleep, and so this was actually on the
- 29:41Speaker 3: verge of lockdown, and I the most annoying thing on
- 29:46Speaker 3: the planet is when someone finds out you can't sleep,
- 29:48Speaker 3: and they say, have you tried dot dot dot, as
- 29:51Speaker 3: though I haven't literally, motherfucking tried every absolute thing that exists. Wow,
- 29:59Speaker 3: you name it, I've done it. I've heard of it,
- 30:00Speaker 3: except for two things that when they were introduced to me,
- 30:04Speaker 3: really changed my life. Right. So one of them is
- 30:06Speaker 3: this thing gravel. This is a Canadian drug. It's over
- 30:10Speaker 3: the counter. It's Canada's response to drama. Meine okay, and
- 30:15Speaker 3: it's second so it is for motion sickness, but it's
- 30:18Speaker 3: secondary off label uses for sustaining sleep cycles.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Certain for the helicopter, they heard that there were Canadian
- 30:26Speaker 2: drugs back that a.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Good night's sleep was on offer and they were bringing
- 30:30Speaker 3: in the military.
- 30:31Speaker 2: This is the dea.
- 30:34Speaker 3: So the kind of insomnia I have is that I
- 30:36Speaker 3: can fall asleep, but I wake up every ninety minutes
- 30:39Speaker 3: and sometimes I will be able to string together, you know,
- 30:44Speaker 3: four to five of those cycles and I will feel fine.
- 30:46Speaker 3: And that's what's been going on for me for the
- 30:48Speaker 3: last stretch of time. And I'm so grateful for that.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Other times, before I discovered gravel, I would only get
- 30:57Speaker 3: two or three of those, and I started to lose
- 30:59Speaker 3: my mind. Of course, a Canadian person told me that
- 31:03Speaker 3: this is how Canadians prevent hangovers. Oh well, maybe mix
- 31:07Speaker 3: this an alcohol. Maybe that's a good plan, right.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Or helping the Irish stereotype.
- 31:14Speaker 3: I want to say I have recently actually weaned myself
- 31:18Speaker 3: off of gravel.
- 31:19Speaker 2: Oh you're off of it.
- 31:20Speaker 3: I'm off of it, and I'm onto magnesium glaconate, which
- 31:23Speaker 3: is the next.
- 31:24Speaker 2: This is the big bottle that you've given me.
- 31:25Speaker 3: So this is for a fun night if you just
- 31:28Speaker 3: really want a great night. And I say a fun night,
- 31:31Speaker 3: I mean how much and.
- 31:33Speaker 2: How quickly does it act?
- 31:34Speaker 3: You know it won't put you to sleep, It'll just
- 31:37Speaker 3: help you stay there. Interesting, I think. I mean I
- 31:40Speaker 3: always take it before bed, and I would start with
- 31:42Speaker 3: a half.
- 31:43Speaker 2: So I take a full pill and get behind the wheel.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Not no, I mean it is for motion sickness. It's
- 31:48Speaker 3: not supposed to.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Be supposed to how interesting. It's just once you access
- 31:53Speaker 2: the sleep, it's like you're here.
- 31:55Speaker 3: But now let me take you to this little smr.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Oh yeah, please, this is the model of zone.
- 32:03Speaker 3: Do you know part of my insomnia journey was that
- 32:06Speaker 3: I started my own ASMR channel.
- 32:08Speaker 2: You're kidding.
- 32:09Speaker 3: It has since been retired, but by the time this
- 32:12Speaker 3: episode comes out, I think there will be a brand
- 32:15Speaker 3: new video for the first time in years.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Do you do requests? I would love to do a
- 32:19Speaker 2: request searching and searching. I've talked about this before. I
- 32:23Speaker 2: think my ASMR is like when you go to a
- 32:25Speaker 2: national park or a museum and the whoever's in charge,
- 32:30Speaker 2: the ranger or whatever gives you the map pulls out
- 32:33Speaker 2: their highlighter and highlights where you need to go.
- 32:36Speaker 3: No, I don't do requests.
- 32:38Speaker 2: I'm sorry, somebody's got to do this. I love that
- 32:42Speaker 2: there's something said is really good, there's something so's there's.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Plays for every Okay, so the ASMR, there's a whole
- 32:50Speaker 3: other tangent. I don't need to take you down, And
- 32:51Speaker 3: if the listener is ont initiated, just go to YouTube.
- 32:54Speaker 3: But there is a whole community of artists on YouTube
- 32:56Speaker 3: who who are devoted to con during these different triggers
- 33:01Speaker 3: that help people relax. And I'm sure that there is
- 33:03Speaker 3: a right play booked.
- 33:05Speaker 2: I found some that are like adjacent, but they are
- 33:07Speaker 2: not good, And then I actually don't want the role
- 33:09Speaker 2: play some I think the helicopter, they're not leaving until
- 33:13Speaker 2: you're we give up the drugs. What was I going
- 33:17Speaker 2: to say, Oh, I found a role one that was close.
- 33:19Speaker 2: It was, But if somebody literally like dressed up as
- 33:21Speaker 2: a park ranger or something, and I think they were
- 33:23Speaker 2: using a pen, which is not the sound I want.
- 33:26Speaker 3: I want want to highlighter. I would suggest looking up librarian.
- 33:31Speaker 3: I think there's if you look up librarian that you'll
- 33:33Speaker 3: find a lot of paper sounds. Maybe school teacher. Okay,
- 33:36Speaker 3: they like to teach things by pointing things.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Bordering on the erotic. Here we're bordering on sexual fantasy.
- 33:42Speaker 3: The thing is, is it so important to discern the
- 33:46Speaker 3: wheat from the chap? It is not sexual. It's not
- 33:50Speaker 3: that there's anything wrong alas snipering in with something for.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Talking as Mr Long highlighting paper. But I do need
- 33:57Speaker 2: the on Lisa's showing me this thing page turning in highlighting,
- 34:01Speaker 2: but I need them also to.
- 34:02Speaker 3: Be talking explaining.
- 34:03Speaker 2: So it's this weird combination of like and this is
- 34:06Speaker 2: how you get I am my cameo.
- 34:08Speaker 3: I might do that kind of a request, but I'm
- 34:11Speaker 3: not doing it on YouTube.
- 34:12Speaker 2: I need someone to tell me how to get to
- 34:14Speaker 2: Old Faithful with a highlighter. That's essentially somebody is I've
- 34:17Speaker 2: got to be out there do it.
- 34:19Speaker 3: That's him. Christmas is coming.
- 34:23Speaker 2: I'm sorry, but it continue.
- 34:24Speaker 3: Okay. So for years people said to me magnesium magnesium
- 34:29Speaker 3: and I thought, I've taken that calm magnesium powder. I've
- 34:31Speaker 3: shipped my brains out. I understand it's not helping me sleep.
- 34:34Speaker 3: If you don't know that, that's what magnesium powder does.
- 34:37Speaker 3: That is what it does in fact, and I think
- 34:39Speaker 3: it's probably very good for you in certain respects, good
- 34:42Speaker 3: for your muscle repair, et cetera. It didn't move the
- 34:45Speaker 3: needle for me. Magnesium glaconate. I wish someone had said,
- 34:50Speaker 3: it's not magnesium citrate, it's magnesium glacinate. And I'll explain
- 34:55Speaker 3: Magnesium glaconate also not going to put you to sleep, Okay,
- 34:58Speaker 3: But once you're in there, the sleep you're gonna get
- 35:01Speaker 3: is gonna be real and it's gonna be deep interesting.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Okay. See, this is kind of This is appealing to
- 35:06Speaker 2: me because I have dealt with insomnia in the past,
- 35:10Speaker 2: stress based insomnia. There you go and I tried, h.
- 35:14Speaker 3: I have something completely different for you for stress based
- 35:17Speaker 3: in somnia that I didn't bring in. Its theanine.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Oh, theanine.
- 35:21Speaker 3: Okay, So I brought you these two things as though
- 35:23Speaker 3: they're the only things I take to sleep. If you
- 35:25Speaker 3: were to come over to my house, you'd see an
- 35:27Speaker 3: actual buffet. Helsa fianine is the natural compound that's found
- 35:33Speaker 3: in tea green and black. But it's not caffeinated. It's
- 35:37Speaker 3: just the relaxing agent. And so you know, chemists have
- 35:41Speaker 3: been able to, like all supplements, to take out this
- 35:44Speaker 3: one property, right, make it in pill form, and I
- 35:47Speaker 3: take about forty five hundred grams of that night.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Every night, combined with this magnesium.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Glycinate, magnesium glacinate combined with melatonin milk combined with five HTP.
- 36:00Speaker 2: This is a full meal, that's right.
- 36:04Speaker 3: So many snack.
- 36:08Speaker 2: But I understand it, like when you get to that
- 36:11Speaker 2: frustrating place and you're like, I will do whatever it
- 36:13Speaker 2: takes in order to sleep through the night. And so
- 36:16Speaker 2: how many pills total are you taking?
- 36:20Speaker 3: I can, okay, hold on a second, one, two, three?
- 36:23Speaker 3: Wait kinds of pills or number of pills?
- 36:27Speaker 2: Let's hear both actually I'm very curious.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Kinds of pills? One? Wow, this is so revealing.
- 36:33Speaker 2: I'm not was it as many as there are holes
- 36:36Speaker 2: in my belt? I think that's the question.
- 36:40Speaker 3: Bless you? Okay?
- 36:42Speaker 2: Not that?
- 36:42Speaker 3: Okay? One, two, three, four, five? I think six kinds
- 36:49Speaker 3: of pills, six kinds of pills, and the number of
- 36:51Speaker 3: pills I take thine by the handful. So I don't know,
- 36:55Speaker 3: because in the middle of the night, I'll just shake
- 36:57Speaker 3: a couple into my palm. What. Yes, and it's a
- 37:02Speaker 3: and you know what at this point is it? What
- 37:05Speaker 3: is it Munchausen?
- 37:07Speaker 2: No?
- 37:07Speaker 3: What is it?
- 37:09Speaker 2: Placebo? Sure, Munchausen unless you have, like a who is
- 37:14Speaker 2: Michael Jackson's doctor, doctor Conrad Murphy?
- 37:17Speaker 3: Is that his name?
- 37:17Speaker 2: I don't know what was that doctor's name? Propofal's a
- 37:22Speaker 2: scary one. Do not on that?
- 37:24Speaker 3: Are you no.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Doctor Conrad Murray? And is he still alive? I feel
- 37:30Speaker 2: like he may have died. He probably wants to die.
- 37:33Speaker 3: I have to say, of all the things I'm taking,
- 37:35Speaker 3: I do this is a point of pride because I'm obnoxious.
- 37:40Speaker 3: Do whatever you need to do to go to the
- 37:41Speaker 3: fuck to sleep. None of them are actually like drugs.
- 37:45Speaker 2: They're all you know, supplements.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Yeah, and I also I don't take benadryl, which I
- 37:49Speaker 3: think can cause dementia if you take it for long.
- 37:52Speaker 2: I'll tell you what it caused for me, because I
- 37:55Speaker 2: was desperate to fall asleep. Have you ever heard of
- 37:57Speaker 2: a paradoxical effect with pills? No?
- 38:00Speaker 3: Oh, it wakes you up?
- 38:01Speaker 2: It turned Yeah, my body was. I think I was
- 38:04Speaker 2: awake for thirty six hours.
- 38:05Speaker 3: That's what happened to me with trasi don Have you
- 38:07Speaker 3: heard of Trasidon? No, it's what everyone takes except me.
- 38:10Speaker 2: Oh isn't that a scary feeling?
- 38:12Speaker 3: Yes?
- 38:13Speaker 2: And you think, oh, so I'm now permanently broken. Oh sure, Yeah,
- 38:18Speaker 2: that was a very bad time in my life.
- 38:20Speaker 3: So sorry.
- 38:21Speaker 2: But at least I know if I ever do some
- 38:23Speaker 2: like long haul trucking or whatever, I can do that
- 38:25Speaker 2: instead of math. Yeah, not that all long haul truckers
- 38:29Speaker 2: do math. I do believe it's I think there's a
- 38:32Speaker 2: nickname for meth called trucker coffee, called.
- 38:36Speaker 3: Truckerfee.
- 38:37Speaker 4: Are you really struggling? Conrad Murray is still alive?
- 38:40Speaker 2: Oh you're kidding. He's still out there in the shadows.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Is he out there? Or is he on the inside.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Oh. Interesting, he brings up a lot of questions doctor
- 38:49Speaker 2: Conrad Murray. Is he still licensed?
- 38:51Speaker 3: Doesn't have other famous clients?
- 38:54Speaker 2: Oh? I'm sure he did right.
- 38:56Speaker 4: In twenty sixteen, Inside Edition reported that Murray was still
- 38:59Speaker 4: visiting patients, although he claimed that he does not charge
- 39:02Speaker 4: patients anything for his services.
- 39:04Speaker 5: Their life exactly providing a consultation whatever that means.
- 39:08Speaker 3: No, he just does it for the joy of Oh. Sure,
- 39:11Speaker 3: he just loves to give back.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Who is still on board with this guy?
- 39:15Speaker 3: Drug addicts Bridger for people addicted to drugs.
- 39:19Speaker 2: He famously killed someone like a drug dealer. Us. Why wow,
- 39:29Speaker 2: give me the Murray. I guess. Oh that's scary, but okay,
- 39:32Speaker 2: so we do. I'm gonna do like a wellness check
- 39:34Speaker 2: in with you every once in a while, just to
- 39:35Speaker 2: make sure you're not in touch with doctor Conrad Murray.
- 39:38Speaker 3: Oh, I really appreciate that.
- 39:41Speaker 2: You've got to just outlive him.
- 39:42Speaker 3: If the insomnia gets too bad, you know, you'll go
- 39:45Speaker 3: to any lengths, as you now know from I.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Will do anything right now because I feel like I'm
- 39:49Speaker 2: never going to sleep again. Oh how long has this
- 39:52Speaker 2: been going on for you?
- 39:54Speaker 3: Since I was about twenty six maybe, which was just
- 40:00Speaker 3: one or two years ago. Oh gosh, it's been just
- 40:03Speaker 3: this morning. Yeah, just this morning. It's been a decade.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fine. Do you remember anything triggering it? Or
- 40:11Speaker 2: was it just like, oh no, what's happening to me? Yes,
- 40:15Speaker 2: not a good thing.
- 40:15Speaker 3: I don't want it?
- 40:16Speaker 2: Okay, that's fine.
- 40:17Speaker 3: Isn't not as bad as that silence makes it sound.
- 40:22Speaker 2: That's not a fair question.
- 40:23Speaker 3: No, I was just I think that that was a
- 40:25Speaker 3: time where I, I like, just entered into a really
- 40:29Speaker 3: stressful situation, right, And it's not that I haven't healed
- 40:32Speaker 3: that situation. Oh, this just sounds like I'm a really
- 40:35Speaker 3: damaged bird. I'll say this. Everyone in my family struggles
- 40:39Speaker 3: with this. This like is our genetic syntome.
- 40:41Speaker 2: You're just waiting for something to wake it up. Yeah,
- 40:45Speaker 2: I know. I apoze for It's not a pun or
- 40:48Speaker 2: I don't know what that is, but that's a human
- 40:50Speaker 2: Leave it in.
- 40:51Speaker 3: Leave it in.
- 40:52Speaker 2: I didn't mean to. It was just the first word
- 40:54Speaker 2: that came to mind.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Uh No. But so I will say that I come
- 40:58Speaker 3: from a whole family of late sleep. Okay, both of
- 41:01Speaker 3: my parents, one of my sisters, and then there's the
- 41:04Speaker 3: magical child who could sleep for thirty six hours?
- 41:07Speaker 2: Are you jealous of them?
- 41:10Speaker 3: Beyond?
- 41:11Speaker 2: Oh, I jim, My boyfriend will fall asleep like it's
- 41:15Speaker 2: like it truly just puts his head on the pillow
- 41:17Speaker 2: and it's just a sleep, which I don't know. That
- 41:19Speaker 2: seems dangerous too. But I have to lie there for
- 41:22Speaker 2: at least an hour worrying before I'm asleep.
- 41:26Speaker 3: If, as I said, if I could give everyone in
- 41:29Speaker 3: the world one gift, it would be our boyfriend's ability
- 41:32Speaker 3: to fall asleep. I hate them.
- 41:35Speaker 2: I know it's and it's just nothing.
- 41:37Speaker 3: You can learn what happens to you in that hour?
- 41:39Speaker 2: What do you do?
- 41:39Speaker 3: You have like tactics? Maybe you don't want to we
- 41:41Speaker 3: don't want to say, don't betry it and get what.
- 41:44Speaker 2: I actually have just developed a new tactic and anybody
- 41:46Speaker 2: can use this. And yet what I do is I
- 41:51Speaker 2: start counting, but I envision the number in my mind
- 41:55Speaker 2: in a different made of a different material. Each one
- 41:59Speaker 2: has to be a different material, so I'll be like, oh,
- 42:01Speaker 2: my eyes are closed. I'm like one, I'm imagining it's
- 42:03Speaker 2: made out of sand. Two, I'm imagining it's made out
- 42:05Speaker 2: of glass. Three I'm imagining it's made out of corduroy.
- 42:08Speaker 2: And I keep going and it works. It's very sort.
- 42:12Speaker 3: Mind is a miracle.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 42:15Speaker 3: No wonder you can't sleep. It's there's so much complexity there.
- 42:20Speaker 2: I'm a deeply layered person.
- 42:23Speaker 3: It's shocked you're not tall.
- 42:28Speaker 2: This brain is being wasted on a short person. So
- 42:31Speaker 2: stop count dun basketball. No, I really think I'm gonna
- 42:39Speaker 2: I should start selling this. I should sell tapes of feeling.
- 42:42Speaker 2: One of sand, two of glass.
- 42:46Speaker 3: Not no to that. Do you need money?
- 42:51Speaker 2: Yes?
- 42:52Speaker 3: Your house is beautiful, beautiful.
- 42:55Speaker 2: The bank is just prowling. They're ready to take it
- 42:57Speaker 2: away from me.
- 42:58Speaker 3: Oh maybe that was the helicopter.
- 43:00Speaker 2: The bank helicopter. That's the Chase Bank helicopter, ready to
- 43:07Speaker 2: repoe my house at any moment.
- 43:08Speaker 3: The letters flying around up there, go.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Go go, just their keys dangling, ready to take a
- 43:17Speaker 2: giant lock they put on the door. That's a scary feeling. No,
- 43:22Speaker 2: but I do recommend this to anybody. This could be
- 43:24Speaker 2: your museum, Glyconate.
- 43:26Speaker 3: I can't thank you enough.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Now.
- 43:28Speaker 3: Listen, I gave a gift. I received a gift.
- 43:30Speaker 2: That's what this podcast is. It's you know, it's a
- 43:33Speaker 2: mutual everybody walks away just hands full of riches.
- 43:38Speaker 3: He's a Libra.
- 43:43Speaker 2: That's my second Hallmark show. He's a Libra. What does entail?
- 43:47Speaker 2: I'm not entire.
- 43:50Speaker 3: Talked about the after Party.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Of course, well, because it was made during the pandemic,
- 43:55Speaker 2: which is such a bizarre. It just felt like everything
- 43:58Speaker 2: was part of a dream. But yeah, you bring it up.
- 44:01Speaker 2: I wrote on it, and you were.
- 44:03Speaker 3: Actually in the I know, I know, I was like completely, yes,
- 44:08Speaker 3: I had a little fan meltdown.
- 44:10Speaker 2: But it whoa, I mean likewise, but it was like,
- 44:13Speaker 2: I imagine your experience was also so strange. Listener, of course,
- 44:18Speaker 2: there's a good chance you've never even heard of the
- 44:19Speaker 2: after Party, because now with television, there are a billion
- 44:23Speaker 2: television shows and no one knows of anything. But the
- 44:26Speaker 2: after Party was on Apple Murder Mystery. I worked on
- 44:29Speaker 2: season one during the pandemic. Our first two weeks were
- 44:33Speaker 2: right before the pandemic actually, and I can remember driving
- 44:36Speaker 2: home that night and Google Map saying traffic is lighter
- 44:39Speaker 2: than usual or less traffic than usual, And what an
- 44:42Speaker 2: eerie feeling.
- 44:43Speaker 3: I'm shocked that you started working on it before the pandemic,
- 44:46Speaker 3: because to my eye, it was written so specifically, listen,
- 44:52Speaker 3: I need to explain this. This is a show that's
- 44:54Speaker 3: a murder mystery. I'm sure you haven't heard of it,
- 44:58Speaker 3: which also shocks me because it is well Tiffany hattihelon
- 45:01Speaker 3: and Laser, it's actual, like Dave Franco. Genrely, it is
- 45:06Speaker 3: just it's the movie star the movie stars are honest,
- 45:11Speaker 3: it's really great. But it's also written so that it
- 45:14Speaker 3: only features those characters in one location, right, And so
- 45:18Speaker 3: it's like it's like they conceived of it instantly upon
- 45:22Speaker 3: lockdown because they needed to make something this as Lord
- 45:26Speaker 3: and Miller geniuses. And it was for me simultaneously a
- 45:31Speaker 3: dream and a nightmare because in fact, I was working
- 45:35Speaker 3: with like the most incredible comedians of all time, and
- 45:40Speaker 3: I was shooting a show that was set at a
- 45:45Speaker 3: party where there could be really no background artists, and
- 45:49Speaker 3: so I was in the background of everyone's work all
- 45:52Speaker 3: the time. And I would work from five o'clock in
- 45:54Speaker 3: the morning until you know, ten o'clock at night, five
- 45:58Speaker 3: days a week, doing nothing.
- 46:00Speaker 2: And wearing you know, this was so deep pandemic that
- 46:03Speaker 2: like everyone was wearing a shield a mask, you're.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Six feet away. We would not have even been this close.
- 46:08Speaker 2: Yeah. I only was able to go to production one
- 46:11Speaker 2: day because you had to go and get tested, like
- 46:14Speaker 2: a week before you show up. They you know, put
- 46:17Speaker 2: you basically in a suit of armor, and then you
- 46:20Speaker 2: got to kind of interact with people. It was very odd.
- 46:24Speaker 3: It was so surreal. It was so surreal, and I
- 46:28Speaker 3: wasn't sleeping, so there's that. But at the same time,
- 46:32Speaker 3: it was like everyone was potted up somewhere and my
- 46:36Speaker 3: pod was you know, Sam Richardson and Jamie dimitriz.
- 46:39Speaker 2: It's kind of the best version of any of this.
- 46:42Speaker 2: And you did a fantastic job. Everybody did, I mean,
- 46:44Speaker 2: but it was such a I mean, I'm not saying
- 46:48Speaker 2: anything new. The pandemic was strange.
- 46:50Speaker 3: I just can't believe you were there but not there
- 46:52Speaker 3: the whole time.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Yeah, just kind of a ghost and just a peer places.
- 46:58Speaker 3: Then was your episode.
- 47:00Speaker 2: It was Alana's episode Chelsea, which was so fun to write.
- 47:04Speaker 3: Oh my god, genius. It was a thriller.
- 47:07Speaker 2: Yes, it's a thriller. I was so happy to be
- 47:08Speaker 2: able to write that one.
- 47:09Speaker 3: Oh my god. Great.
- 47:11Speaker 2: But yeah, what a weird, weird moment in time. And
- 47:16Speaker 2: going to that to the shoot that day was very
- 47:19Speaker 2: The vibe is very like in Et when the government
- 47:23Speaker 2: shows up this has mat suit with the has mat suits,
- 47:26Speaker 2: and I feel like, there's that weird tunnel there is.
- 47:28Speaker 2: It's so scary.
- 47:29Speaker 3: It's kind of like a like a jimberree for aliens.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Bricks or terrestrials.
- 47:36Speaker 3: Right.
- 47:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it was that vibe. And then everyone had to
- 47:39Speaker 2: be funny, so it was an interesting uh yeah. And
- 47:42Speaker 2: that's actually where I learned a trick on Zoom from Alana.
- 47:46Speaker 2: She said, turn off the selfew. At that point, I
- 47:49Speaker 2: hadn't realized that you could turn off self view. Suddenly
- 47:52Speaker 2: Zoom was a whole new game for me.
- 47:54Speaker 3: And she was pregnant that whole time, and nobody knew.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Oh wow, she was doing it all. He's doing it
- 47:59Speaker 2: doing it all all. Well, okay, I have my new pills.
- 48:05Speaker 2: How many of these magnesium glycinates? Should I take a night.
- 48:08Speaker 3: Fuck around and find out?
- 48:10Speaker 2: What if I have a paradoxical effect? Well, I will
- 48:14Speaker 2: get in the car and drive to you the night
- 48:17Speaker 2: I'll be up. You'll hear a pebble. No, it won't
- 48:20Speaker 2: be a pebble. It will be a large rock hitting
- 48:22Speaker 2: the window, crashing through.
- 48:24Speaker 3: It, says you take one, which.
- 48:27Speaker 2: Is one that seems a little Maybe it's because.
- 48:29Speaker 3: The dose is quite high. Maybe I take two because
- 48:33Speaker 3: I have maybe two hundred milligrams.
- 48:35Speaker 2: Is naturally found in sand food, food.
- 48:41Speaker 3: Naturally food, what foods are high and magnesium. That's probably
- 48:45Speaker 3: how you should get better sleep is by having a
- 48:47Speaker 3: better diet. But I'm sort of seems like asium coke
- 48:51Speaker 3: zero coke. Now that's what my diet actually is comprised of.
- 48:57Speaker 3: I'm gonna say, salmon let me yes, yes, analis, don't tell.
- 49:00Speaker 3: It's always wait, okay, salmon, hold on. It's always like lentil,
- 49:04Speaker 3: sweet potatoes and a leaf direk leafy greens. Right, that
- 49:07Speaker 3: is the.
- 49:07Speaker 5: Answer image dark leafy greens, seaweed, beans and lentils, unrefined grains, bananas, dried.
- 49:14Speaker 3: Figs, BlackBerry.
- 49:15Speaker 4: Also, this is just magnesium.
- 49:17Speaker 5: I haven't found I have quite gotten to the glyconate
- 49:20Speaker 5: of it all.
- 49:20Speaker 3: But it's well, you want to know what I wonder
- 49:24Speaker 3: And this is your own research listener. If in food
- 49:28Speaker 3: and it's like natural compound, if it is all of
- 49:33Speaker 3: the eights together, and it's only when they just chill
- 49:36Speaker 3: it and sell it that it's divided into its citrate form.
- 49:40Speaker 3: It's glisen it form, and I think there's even a
- 49:42Speaker 3: citrate glsen it something else. Anyway, I wonder if that's
- 49:46Speaker 3: the product of processing. Interesting and now the listener really
- 49:51Speaker 3: has gone right to bed.
- 49:53Speaker 2: That's the key of this podcast. Uh, this is like
- 49:57Speaker 2: with supplements and everything. I take a daily multivite and
- 50:01Speaker 2: anytime I look this up there like, don't bother, you
- 50:04Speaker 2: don't need it. It's so annoying to me because they
- 50:06Speaker 2: say you'll get this from your diet, and I just think,
- 50:09Speaker 2: who do you think I am? What do you think
- 50:11Speaker 2: I'm eating?
- 50:11Speaker 3: What do you eat?
- 50:13Speaker 2: I'm getting zero anything from any of the food I'm getting. Really,
- 50:17Speaker 2: are you kidding me? What are we talking about? The
- 50:20Speaker 2: assumption that I'm getting a full like food pyramid every day.
- 50:24Speaker 2: That's a difficult thing to.
- 50:25Speaker 3: Do the metabolism of a nine year old because you're
- 50:29Speaker 3: an actual perfect shape.
- 50:32Speaker 2: I have cut down to one cookie a night, and
- 50:35Speaker 2: so I think that's helpful, like.
- 50:36Speaker 3: A nine year old of like a little cookie.
- 50:39Speaker 2: I have the lifestyle of a nine year old.
- 50:41Speaker 3: Yeah, what kind of cookie?
- 50:43Speaker 2: Currently? I've really gone back to basics. I thought I
- 50:46Speaker 2: haven't made the toll house chocolate chip cookie recipe recently
- 50:49Speaker 2: I made it stands up very well. It's a very
- 50:51Speaker 2: simple recipe. But if anyone's just getting into cookie baking,
- 50:54Speaker 2: I can't recommend enough. It's so easy.
- 50:56Speaker 3: Let me ask you something. Am I doing the Ben
- 50:58Speaker 3: Schwartz where I ask you for five thousand questions and
- 51:01Speaker 3: turned the podcast right on its right on its tails heels.
- 51:06Speaker 2: No, it's a conversation. How often are you baking? Never?
- 51:11Speaker 2: When was the last time you baked?
- 51:13Speaker 3: I like cooking, but I don't. I don't.
- 51:15Speaker 2: There's a real clear line between bakers and.
- 51:17Speaker 3: I know exactly the last time what I did a
- 51:20Speaker 3: band of Marie for a cheesecake, oh that I made
- 51:25Speaker 3: for my loving, wonderful life partner, but when we were
- 51:30Speaker 3: still in our when.
- 51:32Speaker 2: You were still like start taking each other up from
- 51:34Speaker 2: the airports? What is a band of Marie?
- 51:37Speaker 3: A band of Marie is a bath named after Marie
- 51:42Speaker 3: where you put the cheesecake in water, oh like in
- 51:48Speaker 3: its tin and then in a bigger tin full of water,
- 51:51Speaker 3: so that it cooks but not really like crack and
- 51:56Speaker 3: it won't crack.
- 51:56Speaker 4: Right.
- 51:57Speaker 2: I've never heard that before. This woman had her own half.
- 52:00Speaker 2: What was she doing in.
- 52:01Speaker 3: The bath, well cooking.
- 52:06Speaker 2: Well, I think it's time to play a game. Okay,
- 52:09Speaker 2: we haven't played Gift Master in a while, so I
- 52:11Speaker 2: think that's what we'll play. I need a number between
- 52:13Speaker 2: one and ten from you.
- 52:15Speaker 3: Ten always, oh good?
- 52:17Speaker 2: Maxing it out absolutely, Okay. I have to take some
- 52:19Speaker 2: light calculating in order to get our game pieces, so
- 52:21Speaker 2: right now you can recommend promote to do whatever you want.
- 52:24Speaker 3: Joe, what the h e double hockey sticks? He is
- 52:27Speaker 3: doing during this calculating. I am on a wonderful television
- 52:33Speaker 3: show called The Chicken Sisters. It's just started airing. By
- 52:37Speaker 3: the time this episode comes out, I imagine maybe four
- 52:40Speaker 3: episodes will be available palmarplus dot com. It's based on
- 52:45Speaker 3: a New York Times bestseller and a Reese's book Club list,
- 52:48Speaker 3: and I agreed to do it because it's great, but
- 52:52Speaker 3: also because the creatives behind it are so brilliant. It's
- 52:56Speaker 3: from the creators of Shrinking, a Typical Girl, five Eva,
- 53:00Speaker 3: Shits Creek. Don't know if you've ever heard of those shows.
- 53:03Speaker 3: They are my favorites. So I am just so proud
- 53:08Speaker 3: to be a part of a part of it.
- 53:11Speaker 2: Beautiful Everybody seek that out and find Geneviev online the
- 53:16Speaker 2: same way you find everyone else online. Is there anything
- 53:20Speaker 2: I want to recommend? Yes? There is. This is what
- 53:23Speaker 2: I recommend is another podcast. Yes, I'm that generous. I'm
- 53:27Speaker 2: willing to recommend competitors. Well, yes, it's not a competitor.
- 53:31Speaker 2: It's sixteenth minute Jamie Loftus's podcast. It is an unbelievable podcast.
- 53:39Speaker 2: I can't recommend this too. I mean enough, it's just
- 53:41Speaker 2: so good. Everything Jamie Loftis does is just fantastic. This
- 53:45Speaker 2: is wonderful. She talks about like people who were famous
- 53:50Speaker 2: online in the past, which to me sounds like, oh,
- 53:53Speaker 2: that's gonna be exhausting, Not at all. She I mean,
- 53:56Speaker 2: it's so fascinating, it's funny, you learn. I mean, it's
- 54:01Speaker 2: just great. I can't recommend it enough. And then she
- 54:03Speaker 2: recommended on the podcast to read Charlotte's Web, which I did,
- 54:06Speaker 2: had never read it before, lovely book. Have you ever
- 54:10Speaker 2: read Charlotte Webb?
- 54:11Speaker 3: I don't know how on have you read Charlotte's Web?
- 54:14Speaker 5: Oh yeah, it's oh it's break your Heart and all
- 54:19Speaker 5: the good ways.
- 54:20Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it's very good. And you know this is
- 54:22Speaker 2: an adult saying. I had the time of my life.
- 54:25Speaker 2: Reading it, I'd only ever seen the movie, which I love.
- 54:27Speaker 2: We Love Templeton. Oh yeah, of course, but both of
- 54:35Speaker 2: those are great recommendations. I'm giving myself a pat on
- 54:37Speaker 2: the back for that. Anyway, let's play gift master. I'm
- 54:41Speaker 2: gonna name three gifts, three things you can give away,
- 54:44Speaker 2: and then I'm going to name three celebrities, and you're
- 54:46Speaker 2: going to tell me which celebrity you would give which gift,
- 54:49Speaker 2: and then you're going to give me your reasoning. Okay,
- 54:52Speaker 2: the three things you'll be giving away today are number one,
- 54:56Speaker 2: foaming hand soap from Bath and body Works Fall collection
- 55:00Speaker 2: number two, and that sounds nice. I mean, let's just
- 55:02Speaker 2: give it to Bath and body Works. Number two fifteen
- 55:06Speaker 2: wonderful nieces and nephews, So that's a nice Another nice gift.
- 55:10Speaker 2: Number three high cholesterol, which is a you know, it's
- 55:14Speaker 2: a unique gift. These are the people you'll be giving
- 55:16Speaker 2: them to. Number one Wolf Blitzer. I bet he's working
- 55:19Speaker 2: hard right now election cycle. Number two Holly Hunter, Love
- 55:24Speaker 2: Holly Hunter. And number three Janet Jackson, who we just adore.
- 55:30Speaker 3: High cholesterol, fifteen wonderful nephews and nieces, and foaming hands
- 55:35Speaker 3: from Bath and body.
- 55:36Speaker 2: Work, Yes, yes, No.
- 55:38Speaker 3: Is this a game you can win? Are there right answers?
- 55:39Speaker 2: This is no, this is a game that everyone wins everyone.
- 55:43Speaker 3: Card game, yeah, road trip game.
- 55:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like, yes exactly. We actually did have a
- 55:48Speaker 2: card game version of this. It sold out and probably
- 55:51Speaker 2: will never be printed again, so anyone who has it's
- 55:53Speaker 2: very lucky.
- 55:56Speaker 3: I'm not going to give high cholesterol to Janet Jackson
- 55:59Speaker 3: because she's been there, okay, and because I am afraid
- 56:02Speaker 3: that she might turn to the doctor.
- 56:05Speaker 2: Oh my god. Yeah, of course, but an interesting thing
- 56:08Speaker 2: for these siblings to come up on the same pot.
- 56:10Speaker 2: I hope Janet's not listening. Janet, my apologies.
- 56:14Speaker 3: I'm I'm not going to give high cholesterol to Wolf
- 56:17Speaker 3: Blitzer because right now we really need our journalists. I'm
- 56:19Speaker 3: sorry to say I have to give it to Holly
- 56:21Speaker 3: Hunter only by process of elimination. But I do trust
- 56:25Speaker 3: that Holly has those raising Arizona residuals, so she's going
- 56:28Speaker 3: to be in good hands. And also she's probably got,
- 56:31Speaker 3: you know, an awesome diet and gets lots of magnesium.
- 56:36Speaker 2: She seems like someone who could take care of it.
- 56:38Speaker 3: She could take care of it, She would take care
- 56:40Speaker 3: of it.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Okay, doctor, what do I need to do?
- 56:42Speaker 3: She would take them into art, she would use it,
- 56:45Speaker 3: to use it in her performances.
- 56:48Speaker 2: Holly Hunter eat to brazil nuts a day that lowers
- 56:51Speaker 2: your cholesterol.
- 56:52Speaker 3: Brazil Nuts are the other thing that have everything. I
- 56:55Speaker 3: am so in love with broadcast News. I can't believe
- 56:58Speaker 3: I just gave her a high cholesterolley. I think it's
- 57:00Speaker 3: my favorite movie.
- 57:01Speaker 2: It's a very good movie.
- 57:02Speaker 3: She's great, Okay, fifteen wonderful nephews and nieces. I don't
- 57:06Speaker 3: think that Janet Jackson needs anymore. I think she has
- 57:09Speaker 3: a lot.
- 57:10Speaker 2: That family is as.
- 57:11Speaker 3: Pretty big, so process of elimination. Those are gonna go
- 57:14Speaker 3: to Wolf Blitzer because I want him to have balance. Okay,
- 57:19Speaker 3: there's so much in just his his occurring world, right
- 57:24Speaker 3: can't hide from He just he needs something soft and
- 57:28Speaker 3: wonderful to come home to that is simultaneously expensive but
- 57:31Speaker 3: not going to break the bank right and opped in
- 57:33Speaker 3: and knocked out right.
- 57:34Speaker 2: Because nieces and nephews, you really can just do whatever
- 57:37Speaker 2: you want with It's kind of more of a creative
- 57:39Speaker 2: art project rather than children or grandchildren. That's right, niece's nephews.
- 57:45Speaker 3: I'm gonna give to Janet Jackson so she can just
- 57:47Speaker 3: you know, wash her hands of everyone who has ever
- 57:50Speaker 3: wronged her. And if this was a winning game, I
- 57:55Speaker 3: think I would have won.
- 57:57Speaker 2: I think you absolutely won. I think it is constantly touring.
- 58:01Speaker 2: She's touching all sorts of disgusting things. She's probably filthy,
- 58:05Speaker 2: her hands are probably so dirty.
- 58:07Speaker 3: I want nothing more for her than a than a
- 58:09Speaker 3: wonderful autumn soothing.
- 58:14Speaker 2: We're wishing Janet Jackson a wonderful autumn. She's cozy in
- 58:20Speaker 2: a sweater's, her hands are clean as a whistle, and
- 58:24Speaker 2: she's smelling pumpkin spice or harvest apple or is there
- 58:29Speaker 2: a third fall spice, wet.
- 58:31Speaker 3: Leaf, cinnamon, cardivo.
- 58:34Speaker 2: We're bordering holidays. What else do you smell in the fall?
- 58:40Speaker 2: Death a dying.
- 58:43Speaker 3: Plants, burning wood, leaves.
- 58:46Speaker 2: Burning leaves, yes, burning garbage, something to keep us warm,
- 58:54Speaker 2: bath and body works. We just thought of your new
- 58:56Speaker 2: your next collection, burning things beautifully played. This is the
- 59:02Speaker 2: final segment of the podcast. It's called I said no emails.
- 59:06Speaker 2: People write into I said no gifts at gmail dot
- 59:09Speaker 2: com and they're all their lives have all just kind
- 59:13Speaker 2: of come to a standstill because they've got these problems
- 59:15Speaker 2: that they cannot get past until they're answered, So they
- 59:18Speaker 2: write into me and my guests, and then we solve them,
- 59:21Speaker 2: and then they're able to move on and flourish. Will
- 59:23Speaker 2: you hope me answer a question?
- 59:24Speaker 3: I would have loved you?
- 59:25Speaker 2: Okay, this says, this is extremely long. I'm gonna have
- 59:29Speaker 2: to skip through this.
- 59:31Speaker 3: You know something about me. Every time I go on
- 59:33Speaker 3: one of these podcasts, we get a nine minute question. Yeah,
- 59:36Speaker 3: this is well, this is.
- 59:37Speaker 2: Not going to be nine minutes. I'm not reading. I mean,
- 59:39Speaker 2: this is truly an encyclopedia, and I'm not apologizing for
- 59:43Speaker 2: skipping around. Dear Bridger and fabulous yet statistically high likely
- 59:47Speaker 2: to be disrespectful guests. So that's a nice way to
- 59:52Speaker 2: intro you. Some brief background info. I am fifty six
- 59:55Speaker 2: and originally from New Jersey. My husband let's call him Wilbur.
- 59:59Speaker 2: Oh while Charlotte's web Janet Jackson Michael Jackson at all,
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: let's call him Wilbur. It is fifty and an excommunicated
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: Mormon who grew up bilingually in Utah and Norway. I'm
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: hoping you can help me with the situation that I've
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: been experiencing for the past twenty eight years or so.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: While I speak German fluently and some other languages well,
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: my Norwegian is mostly on a comprehension level. Not speaking
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: this becomes relevant. Wilbur has always had a bad thing
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: about walking ahead of me while I'm taller. I'm not
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: sure if he takes more steps in a given time
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: or his strides are longer, but that's how it is.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: If I take longer or more steps to keep up
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: with him, he only accelerates by that much more to
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: restore the distance. Maybe this person's just an annoying I
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: have brought this to Wilbur's attention on several occasions over
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: the years, including on a recent month long trip to
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: Europe where he's currently working. Does he have to get
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: everywhere and experience everything first? Sometimes he will explain that
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: he wants to go up ahead and see if we
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: are going the right way, or if there's a restaurant
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: around the corner, or something like that. He can't not
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: be the first one somewhere. It doesn't help, no matter
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: how many times I tell him that when he's walking
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: in front of me, I have no idea what he's saying.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: Can this marriage be saved? And that's from Jay a man.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: I guess we can't say the full name. Maybe not,
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: but whatever, Jay.
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: I went somewhere in the middle of that. I'm sorry.
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: Is the question we all?
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: I mean, we all took a month long trip to
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: Europe and we have a language that let me just
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: say that never became relevant, never came back. I mean
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: I skimmed, but I didn't see anything about calling out
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: in Norwegian or whatever.
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: I think I felt energetically that the underlying issue is disrespect.
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: This person will not slow down to walk at his
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: husband's pace, nor will he speak in his husband's native
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: tongue of English. Right, so it sounds like there's just
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: a lot of distance going on.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: I mean, can this marriage be saved? If you have
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: to ask? I mean, I don't want to plant any I.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: Think this person was writing in because they wanted permission
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: to not save it.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: Oh, and they want to say they wanted audio recording
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: for divorce court.
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: That's right. They wanted us to be on their side.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: An objective listener to say Wilbur is a problem.
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: Here's how I know, because if it was no, really,
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: do you think this marriage can be saved? It would
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: maybe be a briefer letter, but it sounds as though
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: this person made a case.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: They made a I mean, they poured out their heart here. Yeah,
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: and it seems like it's time to say goodbye, and
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: it seems like Wilbur is already said goodbye. He's probably
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: three blocks ahead of him right now.
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: Do you and your boyfriend walk at the same pace?
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: Is he a tall person or one of these?
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: It's a tall person, but I walk faster than him.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: Okay, you are blowing my mind because I actually do
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: think that the issue of walking pace is a relationship
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: problem that doesn't get enough airtime. It's a huge problem
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: in my relationship.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: Is it really fast walker?
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: My giant? My giant is the fast walker I have not.
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: I'm a very athletic person, but I have a very
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: short gait, and so it's also been mirrored to me.
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: And I'm not proud of this. I also have injuries,
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: not proud of those either. Well by my friends that
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: I'm not the fastest hiker.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: Oh, interesting, and well should be comfortable and leisurely, Well, if.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: You're going to do it with a friend. But some
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: people do think it's exercise, and to them, I say,
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: you're cheap. Get a gym membership. This is for fun.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: I want to experience nature.
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: That's great, and I want to catch up and talk
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: about boys. In any event, I am the slow walker.
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: It has been the cause of many fights to which
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: in which circumstances I turn to my significant other end
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: I say, these are the limits of my body. I'm
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: doing my best and I cannot do better than this.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: And I feel if you were doing your best, you
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: would be exercising your patience. And that is what you
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: do when there's a relationship that you want to succeed.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: You don't write in to non credentialed How does your boyfriend?
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: How does your boyfriend respond to this? Does he slow down?
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: Yeah? Resentfully, but he has to bring it up every time.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: I mean, it's difficult for me to be on his
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: side here because he's, you know, had so many he's
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: been given so many privileges as a tall person. Yeah,
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: so as a small fast walker, I feel like I've
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: really picked myself by my bootstraps and put in the
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: work to be a fast someone who moves quickly. I
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: think it's because my dad is tall, This is my theory,
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: and I think trying to keep up with his walking
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: probably as a kid led to me being a fast walker. Trauma,
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: absolute trauma, and I've had the worst trauma. These scars
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: will never heal. That's why I walk fast.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: We found him, the helicopter was looking. Here's the guy
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: with the monks trauma.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: America's most traumatized. But yeah, Jim walks a little slower
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: than me. And he has no really, no excuse. He's
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: from New Jersey slash New York. He's lived in New
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: York for so many years, so he should just be
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: a fast walker.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: Does he live there now?
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: He's currently living there. He's in a show. Do you
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: know that you're living in New York? Yeah, you should
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: have lunch. I will should reach out.
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: Oh my god, what are you doing in New York?
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: I moved in with the significant other. Oh yeah, but
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: I still have my place here.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: So you're going to learn to walk fast.
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: Otherwise we're going to happen. It would have happened.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: That to me makes I mean, there's no it just
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: doesn't make any sense to me. Does not calculate injuries.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: Oh okay, right, you mentioned the gluten max. Your glue
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: max is absolutely shatter deadlift.
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: Can't walk fast, deadlift?
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: Oh tale as old as time. But yeah, Jim is
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: taller than me. He grew up in a fast paced environment.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: I am blazing ahead of him, and it's hard. I
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: as someone who walks faster. You're like, well, don't you
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: want to get there faster?
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: When's his birthday?
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: I'm gonna guess January. Oh oh, well, okay, go ahead,
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: there's no January fifteenth.
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: Okay, So he's a Capricorn. It's surprising, Oh it is.
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: I'd like to know what the what his rising sign is.
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: Because there's a capricorn, you'd think he'd be much more
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: interested in being productive.
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: Oh interesting, Yeah, this this series of his life, he
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: doesn't care to be productive in any way, and it
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: does occasionally lead to issues. But then I'll slow down
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: a bit, and then the trick is you slow down
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: and then you, you know, slowly turn it to a
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: boil and they don't even realize they're picking up the pace.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: Then they're walking it. You're at the approp speed. The
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: speed I walk at is the right speed.
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: Of course you've hypnotized him.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: But as far as Wilbur and the husband, the marriage,
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: I think we can absolutely say this, it can be notarized.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: It should be divorce, and probably a European divorce. Doesn't
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: that sound romantic?
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: I just can you keep your your European sident? Do
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: you have European citizenship?
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: But oh, go on that thing, hang onto.
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: These say something I can't believe. I'm about to say this.
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: If you'd given me a million dollars, I bet me
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: a million dollars. Before this podcast, I would not have
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: mentioned this, but it does feel like it is worth mentioning.
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: And now that I've done this year to say it.
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: My father is Joe Biden's nominee, uh for ambassador to Norway.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: What I'm not kidding you. I'm not kidding you. And
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: it sounds like the worst name drop of all time,
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: and and I am. It's very weird, but it's so specific.
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: I just couldn't believe when this person said, did they
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: say ozlie? He hasn't gone yet. He's the nominee.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: This happens, Okay, Well, whatever he does with this, he
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: can clinch the nomination by saving this marriage. That's his
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: first order of business is getting Wilburt to just slow
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: down a bit, or getting actually, Wilburt, you keep going
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: your pace. Other guy, you move dad.
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: If you're listening, Get out of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: Stop trying to convince those Republicans. Go doctor Wilbur.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: Convince Wilbur that he's got. They've got to figure out
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: the right walking speed. That's the perfect temp whatever that
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: is as far as speed goes. Well, wow, now we
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: have the government involved, and this is spun out into
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: kind of a global nightmare that none of us could
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: have seen coming. But you know, the the answer has
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: absolutely come through in whatever we've just said. And uh,
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: you know, future divorce A do not write back in wonderful.
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: We've answered it perfectly. Genevieve, I've got my pills. I've
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: got either night hundreds of nights of wonderful sleep or
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: days and days of being awake and freaking out and
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: blaming you. So it's a good thing you're living in
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: New York because otherwise, can I take this on a plane?
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: Will that helps a plane?
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: Yeah? I mean no, probably not a red Eye?
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: I have a red Eye coming up, do it? I
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: would do it, Okay, I'm gonna do it on the
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: Red Eye.
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: That I do the magnesium on the Red.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: Eye, magnesium not the other one.
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: Well, because a red eye isn't that long?
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: And this is about making you sleep for longer.
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: Oh right, we don't need a flight attendant calling an ambulance.
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: No, I don't want that for you. I think the
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: magnesium will just give you, give you the goods while
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: you're on there.
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: Okay, take two two magnesium.
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: I wonder if you're on the same red Eye.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: Oh interesting? What airport are you flying out of?
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: Lax?
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: I will never step foot in lax ag.
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: Well, Burbank is really it's everything and more.
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: My last trip was out of lax and arriving back there.
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: There is not a worse psychic feeling in the world
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: than realizing, Oh, I got off the plane and now
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: there are hours ahead of me. To get into an uber,
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: you'll have to go to that pen. That's like children
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: of men. It's horrible.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: I'll leave you with this. Oh, you're right, but can't
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: fly my airline first class out of Burbank. Sorry.
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: Oh, I'll tell you what's first class the Burbank airport.
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: That's true.
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: I will. I'll take a riverboat out of the Burbank
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: airport before I go to Lax.
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: So right, you and I live in different parts of town.
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: That's true. That's true, but again the uber situation just
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: shatters me every time.
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: And then at JFK, now it's even worse.
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: Is terrible too. Yeah, this is more of a travel
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: tip podcast about to specific you don't go to Lax.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: Lax and JFK are all tricky, they're difficult, whereas LaGuardia gorgeous.
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: Heaven, Newark even not bad.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: Not bad, but you shoot for Newark or shoot for laguardis.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: For Laguardi always.
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: Okay, Well, I've had a wonderful time with you here today.

- 1:11:30Speaker 2: Of course, thank you for being here and listener. The
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: podcast is over. I'm wondering what you'll do with your day.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: I'm putting more thought into your day than mine, and
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: that's part of my I guess kind of problem we've
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: discussed on this podcast. I have to figure out how
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: to live my own life. You go do your own thing.

- 1:12:08Speaker 2: without our guest booker, Patrick Kottner. The theme song, of course,
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: could only come from miracle worker Amy Mann. You must
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: follow the show on Instagram. At I said, no gifts,
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: I don't want to hear any excuses. That's where you

- 1:12:37Speaker 2: But you're a guest to me.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: You gotta come to me empty, And I said, no guests,
