- 0:04Speaker 1: NFL Game de View is a production of the NFL
- 0:06Speaker 1: in partnership with iHeartRadio.
- 0:08Speaker 2: All Right, welcome to Game Debut Present about Mercedes, Vince Patrick, Claibahn.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Estatic to be here with my dear friends, Greg Rosendalt
- 0:14Speaker 2: and Cynthia Freeland. I say dear friends because last week
- 0:17Speaker 2: did not go well for almost anybody. Congratulations to everybody
- 0:19Speaker 2: who won your Survivor pool. Sorry to everybody who's are
- 0:23Speaker 2: It's all over. We're trying to find something different to
- 0:25Speaker 2: do Greg for the rest of the early season.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I don't want to talk about last week.
- 0:29Speaker 3: We're on to Cincinnati proverbially.
- 0:32Speaker 4: But also some people realistically, if you were the team
- 0:36Speaker 4: that's playing them on Monday night, you know out somebody
- 0:40Speaker 4: is on to Cincinnati.
- 0:41Speaker 2: In a little We will move on, but first because
- 0:44Speaker 2: we're honest, because we value your input and want to
- 0:47Speaker 2: show you sometimes things don't go as planned. Well say
- 0:50Speaker 2: that other than that, Miss Lincoln, how was the play?
- 0:53Speaker 5: I don't know I can think about it. Is that
- 0:54Speaker 5: I'm wearing someone else's pants. I don't know I think
- 0:57Speaker 5: about right now?
- 0:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I got someone else's pants, which pant? Sometimes you
- 1:01Speaker 3: just got to go with the show that you got.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Essentially, what happens is when you get picks wrong, somebody
- 1:08Speaker 2: comes and removes pants from you, and so we're pants.
- 1:11Speaker 2: We're gonna try to earn pants back. All of this,
- 1:14Speaker 2: I get picked up a game. Hey guys, So me
- 1:17Speaker 2: and Cynthia one game behind Greg Rosenthal who still has
- 1:20Speaker 2: the crown. But I will give you a little bit
- 1:23Speaker 2: of advanced notice. We had a lot of similar picks
- 1:25Speaker 2: last week. Yep, that is not the case. Good Icy,
- 1:29Speaker 2: Let's talk some ball. If you knew coming into the
- 1:30Speaker 2: season the Saints would have one of the hottest offenses
- 1:32Speaker 2: in the league after two weeks, I'd be shocked. One
- 1:36Speaker 2: and two, I'd ask for some advice. New Orleans scored
- 1:38Speaker 2: ninety one points in two games, which is tied for
- 1:41Speaker 2: the second most in NFL history, forty five points a game,
- 1:44Speaker 2: ten points higher than the next team. Right now, So
- 1:48Speaker 2: the Saints playing host to the Eagles on Sunday, Philly
- 1:50Speaker 2: one Saquon Barkley one field goal in the first half
- 1:54Speaker 2: away from being two to zero. Who has the edge
- 1:56Speaker 2: in this big matchup?
- 1:57Speaker 6: So I think the Saints do.
- 1:58Speaker 3: It's a classic case where you're talking about do you
- 2:01Speaker 3: trust the first two weeks of the season or the
- 2:03Speaker 3: data from last last year in the history. I trust
- 2:06Speaker 3: Alvin Kamara, one of the best running backs of his generation.
- 2:10Speaker 3: I believe it is going to be a Hall of
- 2:11Speaker 3: Famer someday. My eyes told me the last couple of
- 2:14Speaker 3: years he still had it, but.
- 2:16Speaker 6: The team around him didn't have it.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Now you look at the blocking that is just opening
- 2:20Speaker 3: up huge holes from great cohesion in terms of their
- 2:22Speaker 3: outside zone running scheme, and what if the Eagles struggled
- 2:26Speaker 3: with the last couple of weeks their run defense, They're
- 2:29Speaker 3: just getting pushed around on the edge.
- 2:31Speaker 6: That's where the Saints win.
- 2:33Speaker 3: When they get a lead, they just give it to
- 2:35Speaker 3: a k This Dome is going to be rocking. I
- 2:38Speaker 3: trust the first two weeks. This data matters to me.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Twenty twenty three, twenty twenty two is over.
- 2:43Speaker 2: These are new Saints, Yeah, new Saints, but the old
- 2:46Speaker 2: talented Saints getting involved in a new system. I like
- 2:48Speaker 2: the Saints as well. It's a three point win for me,
- 2:51Speaker 2: New Orleans getting to win twenty three to twenty because
- 2:55Speaker 2: speaking of days of old, I've seen the Eagles pass
- 2:58Speaker 2: rush here in twenty twenty four and it's a rough
- 3:01Speaker 2: situation closing moments of the game. Look at Kirk Cousins,
- 3:04Speaker 2: Nobody at his feet, nobody around them. This is with
- 3:08Speaker 2: under two minutes to go in the game. The Eagles
- 3:11Speaker 2: have every opportunity to get the Kirk Cousins. I think
- 3:13Speaker 2: of that BG rush against Tom Brady and the Super Bowl.
- 3:17Speaker 2: There was the rush that knocked out Rock Party in
- 3:20Speaker 2: the game from Hassan Reddick. In the NFC Championship game,
- 3:23Speaker 2: no pressure on Kirk Cousins all the way till that
- 3:25Speaker 2: last throw. I think, considering how improved things are upfront
- 3:28Speaker 2: for New Orleans, Cynthia, I think the Saints score points.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Well, we're rolling out of the gates here with a
- 3:33Speaker 4: prime number. I have the Philadelphia Eagles by one point
- 3:38Speaker 4: twenty six to twenty five.
- 3:40Speaker 5: Play that noise, Play that noise. It's so great. I'm
- 3:42Speaker 5: looking at something.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Interesting about Derek Carr and I love this stat. It's
- 3:46Speaker 4: interesting when you watch it because it's been eighty percent
- 3:48Speaker 4: of plays have either been a run or using play action.
- 3:51Speaker 5: That's where they've had success. The thing is is we
- 3:54Speaker 5: don't know what happens if they're not playing with the
- 3:56Speaker 5: lead ninety one points you don't need to worry about it,
- 3:59Speaker 5: but they need to worry about it.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Watching Derek Carr here and I love what I'm seeing.
- 4:03Speaker 4: It's very fun. I like the swagger. It's fun to
- 4:05Speaker 4: watch Alvin Kamara. But I'm looking at the football facts
- 4:08Speaker 4: and saying, the Eagles are going to take this one,
- 4:10Speaker 4: look at the data, and they're going to stop their run.
- 4:12Speaker 5: That's the choice they're going to make.
- 4:13Speaker 4: And then what happens when the play action isn't working
- 4:15Speaker 4: as well and the run game isn't working as well?
- 4:17Speaker 4: Are you going to have those past concepts? Is it
- 4:19Speaker 4: going to be the same model? Says one point win
- 4:22Speaker 4: in favor of the Eagles.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Well, I like it. We got different picks, so finally,
- 4:26Speaker 2: finally we enjoy fun. We got more fun in our
- 4:28Speaker 2: next game. A couple of teams they were able to
- 4:30Speaker 2: get it done in the closing moments Monday Night. Yeah again,
- 4:32Speaker 2: Kirk o Chains looked so much better than he did
- 4:35Speaker 2: in Week one, ultimately finding Drake London for that game
- 4:38Speaker 2: winning seven yard touchdown. Well comes next to the defending
- 4:41Speaker 2: Super Bowl champs Sunday Night in Atlanta, also blinking the
- 4:44Speaker 2: physiological requirement, We will blink but can the dirty birds
- 4:48Speaker 2: keep the champs from rolling on undefeated? Grip?
- 4:52Speaker 3: No, the Chiefs are going to get to three and
- 4:53Speaker 3: oh twenty four to seventeen. Sometimes you just got to
- 4:55Speaker 3: go with greatness. Of course, maybe the greatest quarterback of
- 4:58Speaker 3: all time, Patrick Blumbs and one of the greatest tight
- 5:00Speaker 3: ends of all time, Travis Kelsey. Let's just look at
- 5:03Speaker 3: all of his pastic plays. Kelsey such a key part
- 5:07Speaker 3: of the Chiefs offense. But wait, are all these plays
- 5:11Speaker 3: from twenty twenty three? Yes, they are, because we haven't
- 5:13Speaker 3: seen any plays in twenty twenty four.
- 5:15Speaker 6: What is happening?
- 5:15Speaker 3: Travis Kelcey had won cats for like four yards last week,
- 5:19Speaker 3: didn't really do anything in week one when I asked
- 5:22Speaker 3: for a highlight package for this season that there is nothing.
- 5:26Speaker 3: At some point Travis Kelcey has to crank up those
- 5:28Speaker 3: old bones and get it going. I think this is
- 5:30Speaker 3: the week to get it done. The linebackers for the
- 5:33Speaker 3: Falcons are not strong Travis Kelcey.
- 5:35Speaker 6: They hear people talking that he might be a little
- 5:38Speaker 6: past his prime. They're gonna get the all.
- 5:39Speaker 5: Do you crank up old both? I don't know, anyways,
- 5:42Speaker 5: I do.
- 5:42Speaker 4: I'm looking at this when I have the same winner,
- 5:44Speaker 4: the same score for the Chiefs, but I have a
- 5:46Speaker 4: little bit closer game. Twenty four to twenty one is
- 5:48Speaker 4: my final score. Remember last week we were like, if
- 5:51Speaker 4: only Kirk Cousins would manage to use play action. Well
- 5:54Speaker 4: he did, he did eight times, and guess what happened?
- 5:56Speaker 4: Not a lot when five of eight fifty two yards
- 5:59Speaker 4: no touchdowns like okay, and then without play action was
- 6:02Speaker 4: where all of.
- 6:03Speaker 5: The action happened. So we were wrong. I was wrong.
- 6:06Speaker 5: Craig was wrong.
- 6:07Speaker 3: I mean, he didn't really move outside the pocket at all.
- 6:09Speaker 3: I still think it's not a great thing when you're
- 6:12Speaker 3: and you're.
- 6:12Speaker 6: Picking the Chiefs.
- 6:14Speaker 4: I'm picking the Chiefs, and I'm also telling you that
- 6:16Speaker 4: it's a really good week for Kyle Pitt's touchdown just
- 6:19Speaker 4: because of some tendencies for the Chiefs defense. But I'm
- 6:21Speaker 4: saying on the other end of it, the Chiefs end
- 6:23Speaker 4: up victorious in this matchup.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Kyle Pitts was open for a touchdown last week, and
- 6:27Speaker 2: Kirk threw it to Mike Trout in the back of
- 6:29Speaker 2: the zonne For some reason. I like that score so much, Cynthia,
- 6:32Speaker 2: I'm gonna take it as well. I've gotanked twenty four
- 6:35Speaker 2: twenty one Kansas City Chiefs as well. I understand the
- 6:37Speaker 2: Chiefs were dealing with injuries and there's that spot in
- 6:39Speaker 2: the regular season where they historically have a little bit
- 6:42Speaker 2: of a lull occasionally. But here's the Falcons defense. Yes,
- 6:45Speaker 2: the Eagles are a good offensive line, but through two weeks,
- 6:48Speaker 2: the Atlanta Falcons defense are number thirty two in pressure
- 6:51Speaker 2: rate in the NFL. I need you to be better
- 6:54Speaker 2: if you're gonna play against Patrick Mahomes and try to
- 6:56Speaker 2: get a win, preferably with four people. Maybe send somebody
- 7:00Speaker 2: else if you want to. But that's dangerous with Mahomes
- 7:02Speaker 2: that it makes it tough for me to pick the I.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Know something funny, guess who's thirty one?
- 7:06Speaker 2: Who's that the Chiefs? Oh points for everybody, Kirk Patrick, congratulations,
- 7:12Speaker 2: I gotta have some opportunity. Let's check out some player
- 7:14Speaker 2: props on this one, Patrick Mahomes. Looking at that one
- 7:18Speaker 2: and a half passing touchdowns, seventy two and a half
- 7:21Speaker 2: rushing yards for Jon Robinson, and almost seven catches for
- 7:24Speaker 2: Reshoot right, I.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Mean forty eight point five receiving yards? Is that for
- 7:28Speaker 3: Kelsey on the season? So far, he's not even there.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Get him, Greg, go? Greg is all about the old boats. Oh,
- 7:33Speaker 2: Travis Kells, get that carbon rator, crank up those old bones.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Let's get to the Ravens and the Cowboys. Dallas shockingly
- 7:39Speaker 2: boat raced by the Saints last week while the Ravens
- 7:42Speaker 2: just playing a shocked by the Raiders. Which team rebounds
- 7:45Speaker 2: on Sunday?
- 7:46Speaker 4: Since your team does Baltimore winning this one twenty six
- 7:49Speaker 4: to twenty for I like a lot of things about
- 7:52Speaker 4: this game, but specifically Derrick Henry to overcome what will
- 7:56Speaker 4: likely be something that takes a little bit of time.
- 7:58Speaker 4: That's the fact that three of the offensive linemen for
- 8:01Speaker 4: the Ravens are different this season. That's sixty percent. That's
- 8:04Speaker 4: for you right there, Greg. But ultimately, what do you
- 8:07Speaker 4: do when you have pressure? Old coach bek, you run
- 8:09Speaker 4: right at pressure. Raw so run right at Micah Parsons.
- 8:13Speaker 4: With Derrick Henry, I think they did not bring him
- 8:16Speaker 4: on this team not to use him, so we saw
- 8:18Speaker 4: it kind of get going last week against the Raiders.
- 8:20Speaker 4: I think that continues against a Mike Zimmer defense that
- 8:23Speaker 4: I'm still confused as to what we're going to see
- 8:25Speaker 4: you throughout the season.
- 8:26Speaker 5: Yeah, we don't Mike ap Parsons as good.
- 8:28Speaker 6: Though I'm not sure.
- 8:29Speaker 3: I just don't think Mike Zimmer has the players like
- 8:31Speaker 3: the they're bringing in defensive tackles off the free agency wires.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Some are going to injured reserve Lynn Val Joseph is there.
- 8:38Speaker 3: I got the Ravens winning this game for much of
- 8:40Speaker 3: the same reason I like it when Cynthia and I are.
- 8:42Speaker 6: On the same page.
- 8:43Speaker 3: I got him winning by a touchdown, and it's because
- 8:45Speaker 3: of that run defense.
- 8:46Speaker 5: Fisty.
- 8:47Speaker 3: You want to know where they are according to Next
- 8:49Speaker 3: Gen stat against inside runs where bed last in the
- 8:53Speaker 3: entire NFL. You know where they are in red zone
- 8:56Speaker 3: defense against the run.
- 8:57Speaker 6: Dead last, Ben last.
- 8:59Speaker 3: You know who's pretty good running inside, Derrick Henry and
- 9:03Speaker 3: Lamar Jackson, by the way, and it feels like, you
- 9:05Speaker 3: know who's the best red zone weapon I've ever seen
- 9:07Speaker 3: that quarterback Lamar Jackson, who's great in the red zone,
- 9:11Speaker 3: it's Derrick Henry. Like, I just don't think the matchup works.
- 9:14Speaker 3: I don't think they got the players at linebacker or
- 9:16Speaker 3: defensive tackle for Dallas.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Well, I'm so glad that you guys are confident, because
- 9:20Speaker 2: I was not confident in making this pick, although I
- 9:22Speaker 2: will take the Baltimore Ravens by one point twenty one
- 9:26Speaker 2: to twenty because of what Cynthia mentioned, there's real issues
- 9:30Speaker 2: up front and at some point at oh to two,
- 9:32Speaker 2: the Baltimore Ravens are going to need to figure out
- 9:34Speaker 2: the terrier of that offense a lot of specifically on
- 9:37Speaker 2: the right side. But then I'm thinking about what the
- 9:40Speaker 2: defense is dealing with. And Dallas, whether through personnel or
- 9:44Speaker 2: also schematically play calling was feels too, have just punted
- 9:48Speaker 2: on running the ball, making running the ball an afterthought,
- 9:51Speaker 2: making things a little tougher on back in the offense.
- 9:54Speaker 2: For those unfamiliar with Next Gen stats and the expected
- 9:57Speaker 2: yards per carry, They've got years of data on where
- 10:00Speaker 2: players are located on the field. You hand off and
- 10:03Speaker 2: then see where the player has the handoff, and they
- 10:06Speaker 2: give you how many expected yards that you will have
- 10:08Speaker 2: on a particular play. Dallas has negative sixty one yikes.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Negative sex Negative is bad, okay for a defense, negative
- 10:14Speaker 4: is good.
- 10:14Speaker 5: For an offense, negative is bad.
- 10:17Speaker 3: So I've also got next Greg stats and I've been
- 10:20Speaker 3: doing this show a while. We've been watching football a while.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Have you ever seen a John Harbough team go oh
- 10:24Speaker 3: to three. When you see a team as talented as
- 10:27Speaker 3: good as the Ravens, do you think Lamar Jackson's ever
- 10:29Speaker 3: going to be owing three? Sometimes you don't have to
- 10:31Speaker 3: get like too smart about it. They're just not going
- 10:33Speaker 3: to be oh and three. That's not a bad way
- 10:34Speaker 3: to pick games.
- 10:35Speaker 2: I hope we never see that moment of Greg saying
- 10:39Speaker 2: that again. I would not like to have to revisit that,
- 10:42Speaker 2: considering the options that are available. We're just getting started
- 10:45Speaker 2: here on game debut. Coming up, a battle of undefeated
- 10:48Speaker 2: squaring off in Minneapolis. It's Shroud versus Sam Darnold. Two
- 10:53Speaker 2: potential future Hall of Famers are picks for Texans Vikings.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Coming right up after this quick break, it's time for
- 11:00Speaker 2: the Drive to Excellence presented by Mercedes Benz. The Charge
- 11:04Speaker 2: and Steelers in Pittsburgh, both teams sitting at two and O.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Justin Herbert dealing with an ankle injury. Who gets to
- 11:10Speaker 2: three and oh?
- 11:10Speaker 4: Cynthia the Pittsburgh Steelers get to three and oh with
- 11:13Speaker 4: a twenty two to nineteen. When I love a good
- 11:15Speaker 4: twenty two because everyone seems to be so excited about them.
- 11:18Speaker 5: Why because of TJ. Watt, of course TJ.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Watt, who's had three pressures and exactly three pressures in
- 11:24Speaker 4: the past two games. When you're watching what come off
- 11:27Speaker 4: the edge, it's just a nightmare for any quarterback in
- 11:29Speaker 4: this situation. And I know Joe Alt's been Grady's four
- 11:32Speaker 4: pressures allowed in fifty one drop backs, which is wonderful,
- 11:35Speaker 4: but let's be fair, what is a different animal. He's
- 11:38Speaker 4: the hardest to defend for even the most seasoned of veterans.
- 11:42Speaker 4: But lining up across from a rookie, like you know,
- 11:44Speaker 4: they have that like welcome to the NFL moment, that
- 11:46Speaker 4: is this is going to be his welcome to the
- 11:48Speaker 4: NFL moment.
- 11:49Speaker 5: Hey, rookie, wasn't that the show? Whatever?
- 11:52Speaker 2: Yeah, this is gonna be fun.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Thanks are gonna be great.
- 11:56Speaker 2: So you got a three point win. I've got a
- 11:58Speaker 2: two point win for the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's still a win, though,
- 12:01Speaker 2: And I'm thinking back to the early days of picket
- 12:03Speaker 2: to Pickens and it's like, oh, we're having all this fun,
- 12:06Speaker 2: and there's the literation and now it's like, wait a second,
- 12:09Speaker 2: was that just George Pickens? This is what he does
- 12:12Speaker 2: and justin fields and he are leaking up and making
- 12:14Speaker 2: a lot of plays even if they're not showing up
- 12:15Speaker 2: in the stat but sheet. We've had a couple of
- 12:17Speaker 2: long DEPI calls. They were going right at Patrick Swutan
- 12:21Speaker 2: a week ago. Since the start of last season, he
- 12:23Speaker 2: leads the entire NFL in yards where the expected completion
- 12:27Speaker 2: percentage was less than fifty percent.
- 12:29Speaker 6: Wow.
- 12:30Speaker 2: I think this is a game where big plays can
- 12:32Speaker 2: swing it, and our trusts the Pittsburgh Steelers can make
- 12:34Speaker 2: those plays. I don't know if the Chargers are gonna
- 12:36Speaker 2: make big plays in this one.
- 12:37Speaker 6: Great well, they've made big plays in the running game.
- 12:39Speaker 3: I look at these two teams and only one of
- 12:41Speaker 3: them can run the ball.
- 12:43Speaker 6: That's the not the San Diego Chargers, the.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Los Angeles Right, they got two great coaches, but only
- 12:49Speaker 3: one great quarterback in Justin Herbert. As long as he plays,
- 12:52Speaker 3: I like the Chargers to win this game seventeen to fourteen.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Now I go through why the Chargers are better, and
- 12:57Speaker 3: I can hear you all the way from Pittsford, but
- 12:59Speaker 3: the Steelers have the great defense. So to the Chargers,
- 13:02Speaker 3: these are the top two defense in the league right now.
- 13:05Speaker 3: Joey Bosa is having one of those seasons. When you
- 13:08Speaker 3: watch him this year, you realize, oh yeah, when he's healthy,
- 13:12Speaker 3: one of the very best players in the NFL.
- 13:14Speaker 6: Khleio Max still getting it done.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Pass rush from the interior, and in terms of their depth,
- 13:19Speaker 3: it's been fantastic. I like their secondary. So to me,
- 13:22Speaker 3: it's two great defenses. It's two offenses that haven't been
- 13:26Speaker 3: so great through the air, but one team that can
- 13:28Speaker 3: run the ball. That's the Chargers, not the Steelers. Let's
- 13:31Speaker 3: just Greg it up. I just s gregged you a
- 13:33Speaker 3: win Steelers in Week one. Now I'm going against you.
- 13:36Speaker 3: It's a just Greg revenge game.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Greg, giveth and take it away? How does Greg feel
- 13:40Speaker 2: about your team? Find out next week the.
- 13:43Speaker 5: Third person talking against me every time.
- 13:45Speaker 2: We're gonna see if this is a trendy Greg going
- 13:48Speaker 2: back and forth on the Pittsburgh Seels. Another team has
- 13:50Speaker 2: jumped out to a two and zho start, the Vikings
- 13:52Speaker 2: so far, no Kirk Cousins, no problem for Kevin O'Connell's squad. Indeed, Texans,
- 13:59Speaker 2: Vikings both undefeated. It's stroud. It's the Darnald Hove buzzing
- 14:03Speaker 2: in all of our ears. Something's got to give here.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Cynthia who walks away from this game undefeated.
- 14:08Speaker 4: The Houston Texans walk away undefeated twenty four to twenty.
- 14:12Speaker 4: I'm looking at my college friend Brian Flores.
- 14:15Speaker 5: He's just a lot old with me. Just kidding, he's
- 14:17Speaker 5: just a little with me, but he loves the blitz.
- 14:18Speaker 4: Since he entered being their defensive coordinator, no team has
- 14:21Speaker 4: blitzed more than his. When I'm watching this team and
- 14:24Speaker 4: then I watched c J. Stroud, I would recommend to
- 14:27Speaker 4: him because I know he's watching our show.
- 14:29Speaker 5: Maybe don't blitz him so much. Because CJ.
- 14:32Speaker 4: Stroud is very good against the blitz. I understand perhaps
- 14:35Speaker 4: without Joe mixing, things could look a little bit different.
- 14:37Speaker 4: I don't care. This is not an opportunity. His splits
- 14:40Speaker 4: are ridiculous against the blitz, so maybe find another option
- 14:45Speaker 4: in this matchup.
- 14:47Speaker 5: The trend is not your friend in this case.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I've got a four point win by the Houston
- 14:51Speaker 2: Texans as well, twenty three to nineteen. Pressure, of course,
- 14:54Speaker 2: being a key theme in this game. In one place
- 14:57Speaker 2: the CJ. Stroud is able to go when the pressure
- 14:59Speaker 2: amounts is to Nico Collins, who was having a great
- 15:02Speaker 2: start to the season. I'm just a general great start.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Great when CJ is under pressure. He's been targeted five
- 15:09Speaker 2: times this season. He's caught every single one of those
- 15:12Speaker 2: passes for one hundred and thirty five yards and a touchdown,
- 15:16Speaker 2: including one that he finished emphatically in the end zone
- 15:18Speaker 2: against the Chicago Bears, which was one of my favorite
- 15:20Speaker 2: plays from last week, far and away eclipsing the rest
- 15:23Speaker 2: of the roster in that stat They're both very good.
- 15:26Speaker 2: I think they could score more. I've got the Houston
- 15:28Speaker 2: Texans Greg.
- 15:29Speaker 3: I struggled with this pick. I went back and forth
- 15:32Speaker 3: all week because I think st J. Stroud's outstanding. My
- 15:36Speaker 3: son Walker is now a Texans fan somehow.
- 15:38Speaker 5: Wasn't he a Jags fan?
- 15:40Speaker 6: No, he was never a Jackson.
- 15:41Speaker 3: But I'm going Vikings in this game twenty seven to
- 15:44Speaker 3: twenty four. Look, I think the Texans are going to
- 15:46Speaker 3: have a better season, have a better team overall. But
- 15:49Speaker 3: I can see it on Monday morning us asking how
- 15:52Speaker 3: are the Vikings three and know how are they doing it?
- 15:54Speaker 3: With their linebacker play and this defense and Brian Flores
- 15:57Speaker 3: that I just think cooked up a very similar offense
- 16:01Speaker 3: in the forty nine ers and Brock Purty and it's
- 16:03Speaker 3: a challenge that CJ. Stroud and this offense has not
- 16:07Speaker 3: yet seen. And there's just something going on with this
- 16:09Speaker 3: team early. Like I said, I think the Texans have
- 16:11Speaker 3: a better season. But look at the linebacker Blake Cashman
- 16:15Speaker 3: flying all over this field. It's a Blake Cashman revenge game.
- 16:18Speaker 3: He did great for Demiico Ryans last year, and yet
- 16:21Speaker 3: Brian Flores is using him in all sorts of creative
- 16:23Speaker 3: ways as a pass rusher, in coverage, in terms of
- 16:26Speaker 3: his run defense, this defense, to me, has a chance to.
- 16:28Speaker 6: Be really special.
- 16:30Speaker 3: They're really smart, and I just think Texans go about
- 16:33Speaker 3: thirteen and four and this is one of those four
- 16:36Speaker 3: vikings get the win. Let's just scrag it up again
- 16:39Speaker 3: twice in a row.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Not just Cashman. We got Daniel Hunter in a revenge
- 16:44Speaker 2: game as well. Jonathan Grenard a lot of revenge in
- 16:47Speaker 2: the air in this one. So per the early picks
- 16:49Speaker 2: on the show, at the very least, we're not all
- 16:51Speaker 2: gonna have a bad week. At the same time, von
- 16:53Speaker 2: Wiga Football, let's look at some of the highest over
- 16:56Speaker 2: unders coming up in Week three. The Lions and the
- 16:59Speaker 2: Cardinals number at fifty one and a half following up
- 17:02Speaker 2: on the Eagles and Saints and then Raven's and Cowboys
- 17:05Speaker 2: at forty eight. So let's dive right in to that
- 17:08Speaker 2: matchup at the top Vegas expecting plenty of points. Kyler
- 17:11Speaker 2: and company obliterating the Rams last week, did they keep
- 17:14Speaker 2: it rolling against Cynthia's Lions grit?
- 17:16Speaker 3: Not exactly, but I think Kyler Murray keeps it rolling.
- 17:19Speaker 3: I have the Lions winning this game thirty three to
- 17:22Speaker 3: thirty one. So that big number we saw fifty one. Ever,
- 17:25Speaker 3: I feel better about that number getting obliterated than I.
- 17:28Speaker 6: Do either of these teams winning. They're both fantastic.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Kyler Murray is playing quarterback at a level that maybe
- 17:34Speaker 3: no one else is matching right now in the entire league.
- 17:37Speaker 3: He can make the plays inside a structure, he can
- 17:39Speaker 3: make the plays on the move, and he's certainly making
- 17:42Speaker 3: plays outside of structure. One of the most special just
- 17:46Speaker 3: talents in terms of his running and his passing ability.
- 17:48Speaker 3: We've been waiting for a season like this from Kyler Murray.
- 17:51Speaker 3: I think it can last throughout the course of the season.
- 17:54Speaker 3: There's been hot stretches before, but I think the foundation
- 17:56Speaker 3: of this offense and what Drew Petsig is doing can last,
- 17:59Speaker 3: and I think they're gonna be one of the top
- 18:01Speaker 3: five offenses in the league.
- 18:03Speaker 6: But it's not enough to beat your li.
- 18:04Speaker 4: I mean, this is how you know I pick with
- 18:06Speaker 4: a model and not my heart, because as a Lions fan,
- 18:08Speaker 4: I'd be superstitious and be like, they're not gonna win.
- 18:10Speaker 5: I don't even care if I lose whatever.
- 18:11Speaker 4: I have Detroit winning twenty seven to twenty three this week.
- 18:14Speaker 4: And I want to alert you to some people that
- 18:16Speaker 4: maybe you don't know as well, and that is the
- 18:18Speaker 4: linebacker level of the Detroit Lions defense. We know about
- 18:21Speaker 4: Alex Azeloni. He's got some great blonde hair, he's wonderful.
- 18:24Speaker 4: He may or may not be playing. So may I
- 18:26Speaker 4: introduce you to Derek Barnes and to Jack Campbell. Jack
- 18:29Speaker 4: Campbell's the guy who was drafted in the first round,
- 18:32Speaker 4: and I me Cynthia Freelan was like, Oh, they.
- 18:34Speaker 5: Over drafted a linemack.
- 18:36Speaker 4: That's okay, it's working out for them right here. This
- 18:39Speaker 4: is going to be a big deal in this matchup.
- 18:41Speaker 4: You talk about why Kyler Murray is so great and
- 18:43Speaker 4: why this offense could be so great. Well, Number one,
- 18:45Speaker 4: Kyler Murray's always a threat to run the ball. And
- 18:47Speaker 4: number two, they're using thirteen personnel really really trickily, so
- 18:51Speaker 4: three tight end sets. And one of the ways to
- 18:53Speaker 4: counteract that is to have a really good linebacking cord
- 18:55Speaker 4: to say, I see you're thirteen.
- 18:57Speaker 5: You're not gonna get beat by me.
- 18:59Speaker 2: I'm looking over at the offense. It's unanimous. I have
- 19:02Speaker 2: a Detroit win twel oh no to twenty six.
- 19:05Speaker 6: Though thread in the dah.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Well, I thought about I thought about changing this, but
- 19:09Speaker 2: then I thought about what happened last week. The Detroit
- 19:12Speaker 2: Lions out gaining, doubling up the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in
- 19:15Speaker 2: terms of yardage, but still losing the game. And right
- 19:19Speaker 2: at the end of the first half, the kicking teams
- 19:21Speaker 2: coming out on the field, the offense is trying to
- 19:24Speaker 2: get going. They're trying to get the ball spike Dan Campbell.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Immediately as soon as the halftime interview comes up, he says,
- 19:29Speaker 2: that's on me. I messed up. I callst our team.
- 19:33Speaker 2: I'm not taking this from a motivational standpoint. The Lions
- 19:36Speaker 2: have had to play two teams that they just beat
- 19:39Speaker 2: in the playoffs this year.
- 19:42Speaker 5: There's so much familiarity to Cardinals, and.
- 19:44Speaker 2: There's gonna be so much attention to detail. After Dan
- 19:46Speaker 2: Campbell himself acknowledges his mistake, I think the team picks
- 19:50Speaker 2: up and I think they run the ball pretty well. Again.
- 19:52Speaker 6: I'd like to see you try to mimusk Cardinals fans.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Let's go, well, yeah, what it means, somebody switch it.
- 19:58Speaker 5: I don't want that, like nothing against the.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Cardinals, but now if it helps, Cynthia, we're not going
- 20:04Speaker 2: to determine the game. Let's get some quick fix here
- 20:07Speaker 2: on game deview. The Packers and Titans in Nashville. Green
- 20:12Speaker 2: Bay taking care of business last week, No, Jordan Love.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Now they got to go and win on the road, Cynthia.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Do they do that?
- 20:18Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 20:18Speaker 5: They win twenty one to twenty.
- 20:19Speaker 4: I want to point out something that maybe we've forgotten here,
- 20:22Speaker 4: and that's the Green Bay Packers defense leads the league
- 20:24Speaker 4: in interceptions.
- 20:25Speaker 5: And we know one thing for certain, and that's that
- 20:27Speaker 5: Will Levis. He's a high stakes poker player.
- 20:30Speaker 4: He's either going to hit you a home run or
- 20:31Speaker 4: he's striking out. And I think in this case that
- 20:34Speaker 4: doesn't match up well with what we've seen from this
- 20:36Speaker 4: Jeff Halfley defense another area where I was like, I
- 20:38Speaker 4: didn't know what we're going to see.
- 20:39Speaker 5: Turns out we're going to see a lot of smart.
- 20:41Speaker 4: Risks and a lot of the ability to take the
- 20:43Speaker 4: ball away being in the right spot. Interceptions can be fickle,
- 20:47Speaker 4: but placement is a good deal.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Greg Jess work it up, Bi Gregor Dolphin Seahawks in
- 20:52Speaker 2: the Great Northwest. Skyler Thompson's starting for the Fins while
- 20:54Speaker 2: Tua's out. Does he get a dune grin?
- 20:56Speaker 3: I love the Seahawks in this game twenty seven to seventeen.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Gino Smith is playing outstanding football so far this season,
- 21:03Speaker 3: right there with Kyler as one of the best quarterbacks
- 21:06Speaker 3: in the league. And that's the spite get seeing a
- 21:08Speaker 3: lot of quick pressure in his face. That might happen
- 21:10Speaker 3: on Sunday, but both of these offensive lines have been
- 21:12Speaker 3: giving up a lot of quick pressure. The difference is
- 21:14Speaker 3: Skyler Thompson is starting at quarterback for the Dolphins.
- 21:18Speaker 6: It's gotten a little lost in this shuffle.
- 21:20Speaker 3: The Dolphins offense did not look right when tuatungue of
- 21:23Speaker 3: Ilo was out there, and that's only going to get
- 21:25Speaker 3: worse with their backup.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Yeah, we're all in the Seahawks last one Jacks Bills
- 21:29Speaker 2: on Monday Night. I've got the Bills maintaining their win
- 21:31Speaker 2: streak and this one twenty four to twenty two. Jags
- 21:34Speaker 2: have been in every single game this season. I don't
- 21:35Speaker 2: think it's out of the range of expectations for them
- 21:37Speaker 2: to come up and win this game. But early season,
- 21:39Speaker 2: Josh Allen's were taking care of the ball. The Bills
- 21:41Speaker 2: are in top five and turnover differential. Jacks have made
- 21:44Speaker 2: a ton of mistakes. I can in good faith pick
- 21:46Speaker 2: them to go up to Buffalo and get a win,
- 21:48Speaker 2: but I'll do I do think it's closer than some
- 21:50Speaker 2: folks might think. As we look at the forty nine
- 21:53Speaker 2: Ers and the Rams. The first touchdown score odds Jordan
- 21:57Speaker 2: Mason leading the way with Kylin Williams right behind him
- 21:59Speaker 2: Brandon aut Because some folks were playing for the forty
- 22:02Speaker 2: nine Ers, Dwan Jennings and DeMarcus Robinson. That game gonna
- 22:05Speaker 2: take place about eighty seven feet behind Cynthia next door
- 22:10Speaker 2: at so Far Stadium. Sand Friend trying to rebound after
- 22:13Speaker 2: last week's lost to the Vikings while the Rams are
- 22:15Speaker 2: just trying to save their season. Who comes out on top.
- 22:18Speaker 4: Cynthia Niners come out on top twenty four to fifteen.
- 22:21Speaker 4: I'm just gonna give love to Fred Warner here. Why well,
- 22:24Speaker 4: number one he's playing so we can talk about him,
- 22:25Speaker 4: and number two. I don't know if people understand just
- 22:28Speaker 4: how good he is. So if you're looking at wind
- 22:30Speaker 4: share at his position, he is like a full like
- 22:34Speaker 4: probably one of the bigger. It's hard because it's not
- 22:36Speaker 4: a very big number in general, right, like wind share
- 22:38Speaker 4: for quarterbacks only five. So like when you're talking about
- 22:40Speaker 4: the difference between a tenth of a wind share point
- 22:43Speaker 4: that is massive even though it doesn't seem.
- 22:45Speaker 5: Massive, but it is asked by a lot huge.
- 22:48Speaker 4: Difference between the next closest guy in the run versus pass.
- 22:51Speaker 5: Like he's a huge difference maker. We just love Fred
- 22:54Speaker 5: Warner here.
- 22:54Speaker 4: And you know, it stinks that there's so many injuries
- 22:57Speaker 4: in this game, but I love watching Fred Warner.
- 22:59Speaker 3: Doesn't matter, right for all the injuries that the forty
- 23:02Speaker 3: nine ers have, And it sounds like George Kittle also
- 23:04Speaker 3: probably out of this scheme. They still have great players
- 23:07Speaker 3: like Trent Williams and Brandon Nyuk and Brock Purty, but
- 23:10Speaker 3: how about the role players like Juwan Jennings stepping up.
- 23:13Speaker 3: You talk about season the moment. Who grabbed Juwan Jennings
- 23:16Speaker 3: off the waiver wire this week? It was me and
- 23:19Speaker 3: I think he's gonna have the best month of his career.
- 23:21Speaker 3: There's a reason why they gave Juwan Jennings a big
- 23:24Speaker 3: contract this offseason. Yes, he does all the dirty work
- 23:27Speaker 3: in the blocking game, but he's a very talented catcher
- 23:30Speaker 3: of the football over the middle where Brock Purty likes
- 23:33Speaker 3: to throw the ball. They have great chemistry from their
- 23:35Speaker 3: three years together, and I think he's gonna have a
- 23:37Speaker 3: big target Shair. Brandon Nyuk is really not quite himself yet.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Juan Jennings, why Jenniver one, Let's go.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like every third down Brockberty is gonna throw
- 23:48Speaker 2: the ball to Juwan Jennings. I've got to San Francisco
- 23:50Speaker 2: win as well. Twenty three to twenty. My main hope
- 23:53Speaker 2: with this football game is that everyone's okay after this,
- 23:56Speaker 2: because the total feels a little bit high with everybody
- 24:00Speaker 2: going down with injuries. Greg and I were in the news,
- 24:01Speaker 2: were completing with Sean McVay late in the game against
- 24:04Speaker 2: the Cardinals to just take Matthew Stafford out of the game.
- 24:07Speaker 2: He was pressured on thirty seven percent of his dropbacks,
- 24:10Speaker 2: sacked five times. Those Niner injuries are on the offense.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Defense remains mostly intact, including Fred I'm gonna take the Niners.
- 24:17Speaker 3: You'll note, though, Patrick and I both have them covering
- 24:20Speaker 3: this spread here. This is a great rivalry where the
- 24:23Speaker 3: forty nine ers almost always come out on top, and
- 24:25Speaker 3: it's always really competitive, even for some bad Rams teams.
- 24:28Speaker 6: I think they keep it close.
- 24:29Speaker 2: So Ramley meme away. We hope the Rams all come
- 24:32Speaker 2: back healthy. That was seized the season presented by Caesars Sportsbook,
- 24:36Speaker 2: download the Caesars Sportsbook app and official sponsors of the NFL.
- 24:39Speaker 2: New users place your first bet up to one thousand dollars.
- 24:43Speaker 2: If you lose, you'll get it back as a bonus bet.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Use promo code TV one thousand, must be twenty one
- 24:48Speaker 2: or older c Caesars dot Com backslash promos in order
- 24:52Speaker 2: for to get the full terms. The Bengals just one
- 24:55Speaker 2: play away from upsetting the Chiefs in Arrowhead last weekend.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Forty eight seconds left, fourth and sixteenth, Dejon Anthony gets
- 25:02Speaker 2: called for this pass interfere. It's al Rashia Rice giving
- 25:05Speaker 2: Casey a first down. A few plays later, Harrison Bucker
- 25:08Speaker 2: nailed a fifty one yard game winner. So now because
- 25:12Speaker 2: of that, since he sits at zero to two, they
- 25:14Speaker 2: play host to Jaydon Daniels and the Commanders on Monday
- 25:18Speaker 2: Night Football. Do Burrow in company finally get the ship
- 25:21Speaker 2: right at here?
- 25:22Speaker 6: They absolutely do.
- 25:23Speaker 3: Not only do they win, they put a thirty burger
- 25:26Speaker 3: on the board.
- 25:26Speaker 6: Is that a thing?
- 25:27Speaker 3: Thirty three to twenty three? So they get over the
- 25:29Speaker 3: seven points because Joe Burrow is back. It got lost
- 25:33Speaker 3: in the penalty at the end of the game. That hey,
- 25:35Speaker 3: that quarterback of the Bengals we were a little worried
- 25:38Speaker 3: about coming out of week one.
- 25:39Speaker 6: He looked like the old Joe Burrow in week two.
- 25:42Speaker 6: T Higgins might also return in this game.
- 25:44Speaker 3: But the most important thing is that Joe Burrow looked
- 25:47Speaker 3: confident in his wrists, was throwing the ball deep.
- 25:49Speaker 6: Well.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Again, I think this is one of the worst defenses
- 25:52Speaker 3: in the league. If I had to rank who has
- 25:54Speaker 3: the worst cornerback group right now in the league, it
- 25:57Speaker 3: might be Washington. So that is a huge mismatch against
- 26:00Speaker 3: this wide receiver group and Joe Burrow a lot of
- 26:02Speaker 3: points for the Bengal I have.
- 26:05Speaker 4: Twenty nine to twenty in this matchup in favor of Cincinnati.
- 26:08Speaker 4: One way to counteract maybe the passing game on your
- 26:11Speaker 4: defense being not as great is to run the football,
- 26:15Speaker 4: especially between the tackles.
- 26:16Speaker 5: Somewhere. We saw last game Brian Robinson.
- 26:20Speaker 4: He had one hundred nine yards between the tackles on
- 26:22Speaker 4: ten rushes. Can you do the math, it's ten point
- 26:25Speaker 4: nine per rush. Yeah, you got it.
- 26:26Speaker 5: There we go.
- 26:27Speaker 4: But ultimately the point is is between the tackles has
- 26:30Speaker 4: been a source of strength for the run game. So
- 26:32Speaker 4: if there's an area that you would like to target
- 26:35Speaker 4: the Bengals, I sat in these seats and said, I
- 26:37Speaker 4: love that they picked Chris Jenkins to kind of help
- 26:39Speaker 4: the DJ reader whole, But you know what, he hasn't
- 26:41Speaker 4: played yet, so ultimately they're still missing some of that
- 26:44Speaker 4: run stopping defensive power that we're looking for, which means
- 26:47Speaker 4: Brad Robinson Junior is a full send for your fantasy needs.
- 26:50Speaker 2: I like this matchup as well. I think Jane Daniels
- 26:53Speaker 2: in the offense are going to score points. The trouble
- 26:56Speaker 2: is that defense, the Washington Commanders that we're talking about
- 26:58Speaker 2: it's a three point win, I've gotta have having a
- 27:01Speaker 2: mc fearson field goal to make it twenty seven, and
- 27:03Speaker 2: then the command to get some points late. Perhaps you
- 27:06Speaker 2: could consider them garbage time points, but ultimately look at.
- 27:09Speaker 6: Why projecting garbage times?
- 27:11Speaker 2: Yeah, because look at what the first two weeks have
- 27:15Speaker 2: been like. If you're Malik Neighbors or Mike Evans, you're feasting.
- 27:19Speaker 2: How some of the best games receivers has had this
- 27:22Speaker 2: entire season through two weeks, we've only had two weeks
- 27:25Speaker 2: their number thirty two in passing efficiency defense to make
- 27:28Speaker 2: it worse than the number twenty six team in terms
- 27:31Speaker 2: of pressure rate. For those who are concerned about Jamar
- 27:33Speaker 2: Chase early on in twenty twenty four, I think this
- 27:36Speaker 2: is an opportunity for Jamar Chase and Joe Burrow to
- 27:39Speaker 2: get things figured out. So it's a meme fest for
- 27:41Speaker 2: the Bengals. Let's get into some more picks the Bears
- 27:43Speaker 2: and the Colts. Caleb Williams Smith most of his time
- 27:45Speaker 2: last week running for his life against the Texans Indies
- 27:48Speaker 2: still looking for win number one on the year. Do
- 27:51Speaker 2: they get it? Greg?
- 27:52Speaker 6: You know what, they're not looking for a running game
- 27:54Speaker 6: they've had it this whole time.
- 27:55Speaker 3: They're gonna win this game by doing what they've already
- 27:57Speaker 3: done twenty four to twenty.
- 27:58Speaker 6: The Colts are not going zero and three. They're too
- 28:00Speaker 6: talented for it.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Jonathan Taylor and Anthony Richardson have and getting it done
- 28:05Speaker 3: on the ground.
- 28:05Speaker 6: This whole time.
- 28:06Speaker 3: We expected a great offensive line. It's been great. Jonathan Taylor.
- 28:11Speaker 3: After a Week one where I didn't quite see the
- 28:13Speaker 3: explosion that I wanted, I thought ran very well in
- 28:16Speaker 3: Week two.
- 28:17Speaker 6: Let's build the whole plane out of this running game.
- 28:20Speaker 3: I know you don't want to run Anthony Richardson fifteen
- 28:22Speaker 3: times a week every week, but how about this week
- 28:25Speaker 3: against the Bears, who really aren't built to stop the run.
- 28:28Speaker 6: They're not that effective stopping the run.
- 28:30Speaker 3: They're fantastic against the pass, and the Colts are a
- 28:33Speaker 3: little erratic that way.
- 28:34Speaker 2: So this is a game.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Just run the ball, get this win, get to one
- 28:37Speaker 3: and two, and everyone's happy, at least everyone that picked them.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Like me, Well, you've got a four point win. I
- 28:42Speaker 2: agree in the standpoint of the Colts winning the game,
- 28:46Speaker 2: but we're taking completely different routes there because I don't
- 28:48Speaker 2: think it's running the ball. I think it's the big play.
- 28:51Speaker 2: The big play from Anthony Richardson helps them score the points.
- 28:53Speaker 2: And on the other side, the Bears have a real
- 28:56Speaker 2: issue in protecting Caleb Williams. It is significant time after
- 29:00Speaker 2: time again against the Houston Texans, he was getting smashed.
- 29:03Speaker 2: The Bear offensive line surrendered twenty three pressures on forty
- 29:07Speaker 2: eight dropbacks and the math has been done for me.
- 29:10Speaker 2: That's forty seven point nine percent. She was doing it
- 29:13Speaker 2: in her head while I said that. Eleven quickly press
- 29:15Speaker 2: lines as well makes it very, very difficult. I've got
- 29:18Speaker 2: the Colts twenty to seventeen.
- 29:20Speaker 5: So hey, have you guys been reading the injury report? No?
- 29:22Speaker 4: Okay, Well, I have Chicago winning this game twenty two
- 29:26Speaker 4: to twenty one.
- 29:27Speaker 5: Why because when you can't stop the run, it all
- 29:30Speaker 5: becomes much more difficult.
- 29:31Speaker 4: I've seen Forrest Buckner, he's been on okay report and Leatu.
- 29:35Speaker 6: Latu that's an issue.
- 29:37Speaker 5: That's also an issue.
- 29:39Speaker 4: They're also just absolutely let Joe Mixon and Josh Jacob's feast.
- 29:43Speaker 4: DeAndre Swift good pick for fantasy this week. I think
- 29:46Speaker 4: that's going to be a very smart way to get
- 29:48Speaker 4: Caleb Williams out of some of the trouble we've seen,
- 29:50Speaker 4: especially on third down.
- 29:51Speaker 5: Their down's been an issue. Not gonna lie, I'm not
- 29:54Speaker 5: gonna pretend it hasn't. But in this case, I think
- 29:57Speaker 5: we get it. Maybe it's a DJ.
- 29:59Speaker 4: Moore first touchdown through the air for Caleb Williams. I
- 30:03Speaker 4: don't feel strongly about it. It is a one point win,
- 30:05Speaker 4: but I do think that I see the path and
- 30:08Speaker 4: I understand. I understand my own maths.
- 30:10Speaker 2: As it turns out, there is well between the Colts
- 30:13Speaker 2: not stopping anybody on the ground and the Bear's not
- 30:15Speaker 2: getting something going. Something has to give between these two teams.
- 30:19Speaker 2: The Bears actually a third game of the year against
- 30:22Speaker 2: the third AFC South opponent of the year. They'll wrap
- 30:26Speaker 2: that up on October thirteenth when they get the Jags.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Look at some more quick picks here on game debut
- 30:31Speaker 2: quick Fix presented by Zillo. The zero to two Broncos
- 30:34Speaker 2: against the unbeaten Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Baker's been balling. Does
- 30:37Speaker 2: he keep that going? Great?
- 30:38Speaker 3: He does, because his defense got to keep it going
- 30:40Speaker 3: against bow Nicks. It's tough to watch this Broncos offense
- 30:43Speaker 3: right now. The Bucks win this game twenty three to seventeen,
- 30:47Speaker 3: because bow Knicks has no time to throw. Sean Payn's
- 30:51Speaker 3: asking him at the line of scrimmage to make a
- 30:53Speaker 3: lot of the protections and identify free rushers, and.
- 30:57Speaker 6: He's not really doing that well with it. He's a rookie.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Count on your offensive line to do that. Maybe help
- 31:02Speaker 3: him out a little bit, coach, because he doesn't look comfortable.
- 31:05Speaker 3: And when you're not comfortable, the last defensive coordinator, defensive
- 31:09Speaker 3: play caller you want to see is Todd Bowles, who's
- 31:11Speaker 3: just gonna send all sorts of crazy pressures at bow
- 31:14Speaker 3: Nicks and probably cause a.
- 31:15Speaker 6: Lot of turn on.
- 31:16Speaker 4: I mean, they've been having creepers at the highest rate.
- 31:18Speaker 5: They've been doing all these advanced things.
- 31:19Speaker 4: But also know Mike mcglinchy along the O line for
- 31:22Speaker 4: the Broncos, that is a massive problem.
- 31:24Speaker 3: I was being generous giving the Broncos seventeen points here,
- 31:27Speaker 3: so I just.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Wanted to say that, Yeah, Greg is always generous.
- 31:30Speaker 5: That's what we think about.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Greg.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Let's go to our next game, the Giants and Browns
- 31:33Speaker 2: in Cleveland. Hopefully the g Man have found a kicker
- 31:36Speaker 2: that they plan on allowing to kick the football. How
- 31:39Speaker 2: do you see this one playing else.
- 31:40Speaker 4: To think Cleveland wins this one twenty four to seventeen.
- 31:43Speaker 4: I want to talk about a guy that we haven't
- 31:44Speaker 4: gotten a chance to talk much about this year, and
- 31:46Speaker 4: that's Amari Cooper. This is the Amari Cooper turn it around.
- 31:49Speaker 4: Let's see the end zone. Big game for Amari Cooper.
- 31:54Speaker 4: I love the injury report this week that says that
- 31:55Speaker 4: maybe the tackles are going to play, because that has
- 31:57Speaker 4: been the problem for this Cleveland offense.
- 31:59Speaker 5: They've just been under a ton of pressure and just
- 32:02Speaker 5: let my guy, Amari Cooper get the ball.
- 32:04Speaker 4: Well, it's so fun to watch him be good, and
- 32:06Speaker 4: this is a great defense to match him up against
- 32:08Speaker 4: to kind of get back on track again, especially if
- 32:11Speaker 4: the starting tackles are playing.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Okay, so when we picked these games, we picked the winner,
- 32:16Speaker 3: but we also picked the spread, and actually the Giants
- 32:18Speaker 3: plus six and a half is one of my favorite
- 32:20Speaker 3: picks of the week. I wasn't ready to go the
- 32:22Speaker 3: whole way because it's Daniel Jones versus this defense, but
- 32:25Speaker 3: I've watched this Brown Steam enough that they're just not
- 32:27Speaker 3: good enough to be a six and a half point
- 32:29Speaker 3: favorite against anyone. I feel like they're seven point their offense.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Their offense to me is not trustworthy. It just feels
- 32:36Speaker 3: like a low scoring, ugly game. Every Browns game is
- 32:38Speaker 3: going to.
- 32:38Speaker 4: Be like, like, do you think Jerome Ford then is
- 32:40Speaker 4: gonna be like hey, He's gonna call me and be like, hey,
- 32:42Speaker 4: that guy, Greg, he's so not generous with me.
- 32:45Speaker 5: That guy's the least generous person I've ever seen.
- 32:47Speaker 6: He probably will they'll run the ball with.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Passing Jerome despite what he says about the offense, Greg
- 32:52Speaker 2: is generous. This is not maybe debatable. Let's go to
- 32:56Speaker 2: our last quick pick, Andy Dalton and the Panthers going
- 32:59Speaker 2: to Vegas to take all the Raiders, and I like
- 33:02Speaker 2: Las Vegas right here to keep things going, get their
- 33:04Speaker 2: two game win streak twenty three to nine. In fact,
- 33:07Speaker 2: we've gone in using technology and got highly edited video
- 33:13Speaker 2: featuring Andy Dalton starting for the Carolina Panthers, just kidding,
- 33:17Speaker 2: it's real, it's last year and he lit it up.
- 33:20Speaker 2: He had two touchdowns, one listening garbage time. He threw
- 33:23Speaker 2: the ball fifty three times. That's gotta be good for
- 33:26Speaker 2: at least nine points.
- 33:27Speaker 6: Is this being Are you being mean to Andy Dalton?
- 33:30Speaker 5: Just wait, Andy, Dalton.
- 33:31Speaker 4: I will say one thing, you could potentially play these
- 33:34Speaker 4: wide receivers in this matchup because they're gonna have to
- 33:36Speaker 4: throw the ball and Andy Dalton's much better again zone
- 33:38Speaker 4: coverage than the guy who got bench right. Bryce Young
- 33:41Speaker 4: had eight interceptions when facing zone. So I you know,
- 33:44Speaker 4: you could potentially look at some wide receivers if you
- 33:46Speaker 4: think they're gonna score more than nine points.
- 33:48Speaker 5: Yep, you don't, then don't play the receivers.
- 33:50Speaker 2: I lost a whole bunch of games picking the Carolina
- 33:53Speaker 2: Panthers last year. I'm not making that mistake in twenty
- 33:55Speaker 2: twenty four. Folks, get out your pins and your paper.
- 33:58Speaker 2: When we return, it's time for write this down. We
- 34:01Speaker 2: are dishing out bold predictions week three. Stick around like
- 34:05Speaker 2: ctb's gloves. When we come back, you're watching Game DEVIUT
- 34:09Speaker 2: presented by Mercedes Bits. The time for write this down.
- 34:14Speaker 2: As we get to some predictions for week three, start
- 34:17Speaker 2: us off ground.
- 34:18Speaker 3: So I'm going with Brian Robinson Junior going over fifty
- 34:22Speaker 3: rushing yards. And if you've been watching this show closely,
- 34:25Speaker 3: you might say, didn't Cynthia just talk about Brian Robinson.
- 34:29Speaker 6: Yes, kids, One of.
- 34:29Speaker 3: The smartest things you can do in school, find the
- 34:32Speaker 3: smart person and then like copy them because they're gonna
- 34:35Speaker 3: be right. The Bengals have nothing in the interior. They
- 34:38Speaker 3: were bad defending the run last year. Then they lose
- 34:41Speaker 3: DJ Reader, then Sheldon Rankins gets hurt, then BJ Hill
- 34:45Speaker 3: gets hurt. I mean, I like the Washington Commanders to
- 34:48Speaker 3: run all over this Bengals team. Robinson has looked like
- 34:51Speaker 3: a player reborn this season. I'd put him over one
- 34:53Speaker 3: hundred yards in this game. Forget about fifty.
- 34:55Speaker 4: Wow, well just go with fifty, then take that. I
- 34:58Speaker 4: learned something by not taking it. I'm gonna take my
- 35:00Speaker 4: medicine here, I said. Brock Bauers touchdown last week. Well
- 35:03Speaker 4: call me some Martindale here, because I'm going to go
- 35:05Speaker 4: doubling down with the strategy. I think he's not only
- 35:08Speaker 4: going to have his first touchdown this week, but he's
- 35:10Speaker 4: also going to have at least four receptions and at.
- 35:12Speaker 5: Least forty four yards.
- 35:15Speaker 4: Last week, he became just the third tight end in
- 35:17Speaker 4: the past ten seasons to have over nine receptions and
- 35:20Speaker 4: ninety yards in a game. So it is very conceivable
- 35:23Speaker 4: that in this matchup they're going to say, sorry, we
- 35:25Speaker 4: didn't get you that end zone. Look, here's your red
- 35:27Speaker 4: area of medicine.
- 35:28Speaker 5: Please take it. It will see you in the end zone.
- 35:30Speaker 2: It's so funny the tight end coming into the league
- 35:32Speaker 2: and being like, hey, this guy could be one of
- 35:34Speaker 2: the best, and then.
- 35:35Speaker 3: He's already he might be in a mass I'm putting
- 35:38Speaker 3: bracket number one right now.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Why not. Speaking of numbers, I've got a number for you.
- 35:42Speaker 2: It's fifty yards again for Jamiir Gibbs. I think Jamier
- 35:46Speaker 2: Gibbs is going to go over fifty yards and Cynthia's
- 35:49Speaker 2: win saying, but I'd be willing to take David Montgomery
- 35:51Speaker 2: going for over fifty as well. I think the Lions
- 35:54Speaker 2: are going to run the ball against the Arizona Cardinals
- 35:57Speaker 2: in the desert. Cynthia's look of concern and consternation can
- 36:00Speaker 2: be wiped away. The Lions are good. It's just hard
- 36:03Speaker 2: to consistently beat teams that are good, teams that kept
- 36:07Speaker 2: their coaching staff that you just beat in the playoff. Cynthia,
- 36:09Speaker 2: it's difficult.
- 36:10Speaker 5: I'm with you. I'm just it's just very nervous.
- 36:12Speaker 3: You ever you ever watched this backfield though, and think,
- 36:15Speaker 3: what what would it look like? We just gave Jamir
- 36:18Speaker 3: gives the ball a little more.
- 36:19Speaker 5: I mean it seems like so good, but also like
- 36:21Speaker 5: Sam Laporta, like can we milk crate? Like I need him.
- 36:24Speaker 4: He's on a milk cart, and I need him for
- 36:26Speaker 4: my fantasy team too, Like this is the problem when
- 36:28Speaker 4: you have teams you're actually good.
- 36:29Speaker 6: It was better too many good players.
- 36:31Speaker 2: You see to look on a concern on her set face,
- 36:33Speaker 2: Ben Johnson, it's timed under stream.
- 36:35Speaker 5: Just helping the book here. Please, I'm getting wrinkles.
- 36:36Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 36:37Speaker 2: We're gonna help you out. Our picture definitely gonna be
- 36:39Speaker 2: better or last week. Thanks for watching game debut for
- 36:41Speaker 2: Zenda Bar Mercedes Bins, for Cynthia and Greg and Patrick.
- 36:44Speaker 2: We'll see you next week.
