Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going to pick up
• 0:06
where we left off with the Bill Gates testimony to Congress.
• 0:12
Question okay, finally I'll introduce minority exhibit. Oh. Question, could
• 0:17
you please identify the individuals in this photo for me? Answer? Yeah,
• 0:22
So the person on the left is me, The person
• 0:24
in the middle is Eva Dubin. The person on the
• 0:27
right is some friend of Eva Dubin's who I was
• 0:29
introduced to, but I don't remember her name. Question Okay,
• 0:33
I'll represent that that is Carinia Shuliac. That was Epstein's
• 0:37
girlfriend at the time. Was this the occasion that you
• 0:41
mentioned earlier when miss Dubin came to meet you after
• 0:43
a meeting? Answer? Yes, this is, we believe, Gates says
• 0:49
in August of twenty Is that right? August twentieth, twenty eleven,
• 0:52
twenty twelve. Sorry, question this is at the four Seasons?
• 0:56
Is that correct? Gates? Yes, I believe so. Question and
• 1:00
was this gets cut off by Gates after a meeting
• 1:04
that they did not attend? Question? Was the meeting just
• 1:07
doing mister Epstein? Answer? No, I think doctor Nikolaich was there. Question,
• 1:11
was this the only time that you met Miss Dubin? Answer? No,
• 1:14
Miss Dubin. You know she and her husband Glenn are
• 1:17
a member of the Giving Pledge. You know they have
• 1:19
a property in North Salem that's near where my daughter
• 1:22
has a property. I've met Eva Dubin at events several times,
• 1:26
including I already mentioned she came by after the January
• 1:29
thirty first, twenty eleven, the first dinner I had with
• 1:32
mister Epstein. Question were those two occasions that you were
• 1:35
with miss Dubin and mister Epstein together? Answer? That's right.
• 1:39
Question okay, answer and that was the only time that
• 1:42
I saw in his presence? Question okay? And did you
• 1:45
ever meet this other woman, Miss Shuliac Ever? Again, was
• 1:49
this the only time? Answer? I don't believe so. Question Okay,
• 1:52
that's all redacted. We're gonna have some members ask some questions,
• 1:56
but before we do, the members who have just entered
• 1:59
the room for the time, can you please identify yourselves
• 2:02
for the record. James Walkinshaw, Virginia, eleventh District, Maxwell Frost, Florida,
• 2:08
ten Wesley Bell Missouri Walkinshaw, mister Gates, thank you for
• 2:13
being here, and I just want to start by thanking
• 2:15
you for your philanthropic work and your work on global health,
• 2:19
which is saved countless lives. I want to go back.
• 2:22
I know there's been some conversation about Melanie Walker and
• 2:25
earlier I know the exhibit A was introduced the article
• 2:28
published in the Wall Street Journal on June seventh, titled
• 2:31
The Hidden Figure with Close Ties to Bill Gates and
• 2:34
Jeffrey Epstein, and on the bottom of page four of
• 2:38
that article, it reads, Walker has told several people she
• 2:41
met Epstein and Trump at the Plaza Hotel in the
• 2:44
early nineteen ninety nine. Got it okay? Gates? Yeah, Walkinshaw
• 2:49
in the early nineties after graduating with honors from the
• 2:51
University of Texas. In a twenty eighteen email introducing a
• 2:55
neurosurgeon to Epstein, she wrote, I've known Jeffrey twenty eight
• 2:59
years and this isn't a joke. Donald Trump introduced us.
• 3:03
Did Miss Walker ever discuss with you her connection to
• 3:06
Donald Trump? Gates? No, Walkinshaw. Did you ever have any
• 3:10
awareness that Epstein and Miss Walker were introduced to each
• 3:13
other by Donald Trump? Had you ever heard that before
• 3:16
you saw the article? Gates? I have not question, okay.
• 3:20
The article also referenced that miss Walker had her possession
• 3:24
potentially embarrassing blue dress emails. On page nine, it describes
• 3:27
the back and forth between Walker and Epstein, apparently I
• 3:31
think referring to you in September of twenty seventeen, the
• 3:35
article reads again, on page nine, Walker provided an inventory
• 3:39
of her ammunition. Yes, I have a blue dress email
• 3:43
and a few other embarrassing things, and yes, the stories
• 3:45
are so early similar to all in media that he
• 3:49
sounds Weinstein like. I can't be the only one. Mister Gates.
• 3:54
Do you know what the blue dress email that Miss
• 3:55
Walker is referring to? Do you have any sense of
• 3:58
what it is? What they are? Are? Gates? I think
• 4:01
I said earlier the blue dress could be a reference
• 4:04
to Monica Lewinsky, But I don't know what a blue
• 4:06
dress email would be Walkinshaw. Okay, And in your opinion,
• 4:11
why do you think miss Walker would have shared potentially
• 4:14
these emails if they exist with mister Epstein? Gates, you know,
• 4:18
I don't have an explanation for that she was in
• 4:20
touch with them and saying what she said. I had
• 4:24
a cordial, friendly relationship with doctor Walker both before and
• 4:27
after the time of any of these communications, Walkinshaw, Okay,
• 4:31
any sense that it may have been part of the
• 4:32
Epstein effort to generate leverage or potentially blackmail you perhaps, Gates,
• 4:37
it's possible that Epstein encouraged doctor Walker to send these
• 4:40
emails to him as some part of a possible future
• 4:43
either blackmail or attempt to reestablish a relationship with me.
• 4:47
Remember this is over three years after I completely cut
• 4:50
off the relationship, and you know, it would be consistent
• 4:53
with sort of the strange way he was willing to
• 4:55
use some truthful things and some lies to try to
• 4:58
develop pressure. But I was never made aware of these exchanges,
• 5:02
and I was not in contact with Epstein in any way,
• 5:05
and all of my conversations with doctor Walker were friendly
• 5:08
in nature towards each other. You know, she left the foundation,
• 5:11
but I continued to talk to or through twenty twenty. Walkinshaw.
• 5:15
Based on what you know, having maybe reviewed what's in
• 5:19
the files or some of what's in the files and
• 5:21
the reporting around, you know, Epstein's effort perhaps to use
• 5:24
payments he made to gain leverage over you to achieve
• 5:28
the goal perhaps he wanted to achieve. How would you
• 5:31
describe in your opinion was he working towards an attempt
• 5:34
to blackmail you, based on the evidence that we have
• 5:37
and what you know and your own knowledge of them
• 5:40
and how he operated, would you use that term, Gates? No,
• 5:43
he never sent anything that I would call blackmail. As
• 5:46
I've said, he made veiled references to things like we
• 5:49
should all want to be friends. Now that I see
• 5:51
the January release of documents, it appears that in many cases,
• 5:55
at least in emails to himself, was sort of rehearsing
• 5:58
how either he or he coaching someone might choose to
• 6:01
blackmail me. But none of those messages wherever sent to me.
• 6:05
You know, I never paid Jeffrey Epstein anything, and so
• 6:07
it's a bit speculation, but the different things are quite consistent.
• 6:11
That he would encourage others to try to give him
• 6:13
leverage over me, but then that never came to pass. Lockinshaw, okay,
• 6:18
because one of the things that I wrestle with, And
• 6:20
it's not a question for you. But in July of
• 6:22
twenty twenty, the Department of Justice issued an unsigned memo
• 6:26
in which they said that they had no evidence of
• 6:28
Epstein blackmailing anyone, and certainly true based on what we know,
• 6:32
he wasn't able to blackmail you, But I think that
• 6:35
what we have from the files and reporting seems to
• 6:38
suggest he was working towards that or hoping to work
• 6:41
towards that. Gates, he never blackmailed me, but looking at
• 6:45
the emails, it raises the serious possibility and probability that
• 6:49
he was contemplating blackmailing me. Lockinshaw, Yeah, thank you, That's
• 6:53
all I have, mister Frost, Thank you. Mister Gates. Why
• 6:57
did you choose Jeffrey Epstein specific to help with your philanthropy? Gates?
• 7:03
I didn't really choose him. He's the only one who
• 7:05
ever came to me and said that he could raise
• 7:07
billions or tens of billions of dollars for global health.
• 7:10
And that was credible to me because as I approach
• 7:13
people directly about their giving, generally, you know they're not
• 7:16
in the position where they think through retirement, you know
• 7:19
who's going to do giving what they want to give
• 7:21
to their children. And the key time when people think
• 7:24
that through is when they're doing their will. You know
• 7:27
how much goes to the children. And then for people
• 7:29
who are very rich, hopefully they think of a large
• 7:32
sum being available for philanthropy. And it was because of
• 7:37
his purported relationship with billionaires, or he was part of
• 7:39
that tax and Will discussion that it seemed credible to
• 7:44
me that he might be able to raise or be
• 7:46
a referral to help raise billions of dollars for a
• 7:49
global health question. So when you say that he came
• 7:52
to you, did he come to you directly or did
• 7:54
he connect with you through somebody else? Gates, I met
• 7:57
him after doctor Nikolch had met him, and so I
• 8:00
meet him on January thirty first, twenty eleven, and when
• 8:04
I have a series of meetings with them through twenty fourteen. Frost.
• 8:08
Michael Wolf alleges that Jeffrey Epstein advised you on expansion
• 8:12
and restructuring of the Gates Foundation. Did Epstein ever advise
• 8:16
you on the Gates Foundation? Gates never, Frost. There's a
• 8:20
Forbes article published on April eight, twenty twenty six, that
• 8:23
titled quote what we know about Bill Gates connection to
• 8:26
Jeffrey Epstein as billionaire prepares to testify end quote, and
• 8:32
it states quote Wolf alleged that Epstein had been advising
• 8:35
Gates on vast expansion and restructuring of the Gates Foundation,
• 8:39
with Epstein proposing a way to leverage the Gates Foundation
• 8:42
resources to accommodate many other fortunes from other billionaires. So
• 8:47
are you saying that article's false? Gates completely false. Epstein
• 8:51
never mentioned to me the organization of the Gates Foundation.
• 8:54
It's not something he would have had knowledge of, so
• 8:57
it wouldn't have made any sense. Frost. Between twenty thirteen
• 9:01
and twenty nineteen, the Gates Foundation was provided eight million
• 9:05
in grants to the International Peace Institute. Was Epstein involved
• 9:09
in those funds at all? Gates The only connection between
• 9:12
Epstein and that grantee, who did very important work for
• 9:15
us in polio eradication campaign was that I was in
• 9:18
Strausburg and Epstein was there at the same time. On
• 9:21
that day, the chairman of IPI made a presentation to me,
• 9:25
we can pull up what day it is, And it
• 9:27
was subsequent to that day that the Polio team investigated
• 9:30
whether IPI could provide valuable help the as Strausberg March
• 9:34
twenty seventh, twenty thirteen, and the Foundation developed a relationship
• 9:39
working with IPI that extended until I think it's ongoing
• 9:42
as far as I know, and that work has been helpful.
• 9:46
But other than that one time, I wasn't aware of
• 9:48
Epstein having any connection. Now that we see the emails
• 9:51
that have come out, Epstein was exchanging emails with the
• 9:54
chairman of IPI on a number of occasions, but I
• 9:57
wasn't aware of any connection to Epstein other than that
• 9:59
first introduction mister Frost. Vanity Fair reported that IPI staff
• 10:05
included Epstein on updates about his work with the Gates Foundation,
• 10:08
including intelligence about Pakistani Taliban polio outbreaks and the existence
• 10:13
of chemical weapons in Syria. Why was Epstein privy to
• 10:17
that information Gates really doesn't make sense to me. But
• 10:21
the Chairman of IPI, Terry Rod Larson, forwarded a number
• 10:24
of emails to Epstein. I only know that now because
• 10:27
we see that in the January release of emails. And
• 10:30
you know, the doing polio eradication in Pakistan and Afghanistan
• 10:33
is very complex. IPI as some very good people who
• 10:37
helped us there, and Epstein would have had no expertise
• 10:40
in that, so I don't understand why the Chairman of
• 10:42
IPI have forwarded those emails. Mister Frost. Thank you, all right, folks,
• 10:48
We're going to wrap up right here and in the
• 10:49
next episode, dealing with the topic We're going to pick
• 10:51
up where we left off. All the information that goes
• 10:55
