- 0:00Speaker 1: Now, much more Mark. Mark Simone. Now, 9 till noon weekdays.
- 0:07Speaker 1: On 710WOR. Well, hey, a beautiful sunny day, but only
- 0:13Speaker 1: 72 today. We'll be back in the 80s the rest
- 0:15Speaker 1: of the week, and then summer ends one week from tonight.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I hate to break it to you, but a lot
- 0:23Speaker 1: going on. Stock market is down about 500 points. The
- 0:27Speaker 1: reason for that, the 10-year Treasury yield. Hit the highest
- 0:31Speaker 1: level of investors, actually traders, worried a Fed rate hike
- 0:36Speaker 1: is coming. So that's a little spook in the market. Also,
- 0:39Speaker 1: the price of oil did spike overnight. It's due to
- 0:43Speaker 1: that pipeline. It's up to almost $ 105 a barrel. That's high.
- 0:48Speaker 1: That's going to be, it takes a week or two
- 0:51Speaker 1: of lag time increase at the pumps. Now, it's because
- 0:53Speaker 1: the hooties are back in action, the Iran-sponsored terrorist group.
- 0:58Speaker 1: took out a Saudi pipeline. They're taking over the Red
- 1:02Speaker 1: Sea shipping route. That's screwing up oil. So that's why
- 1:06Speaker 1: the spike. We'll see what the president does about it.
- 1:09Speaker 1: So far, it doesn't look like he's doing anything about it,
- 1:11Speaker 1: but we'll see what he does. And then that could
- 1:15Speaker 1: bring it down. The president met with all the oil
- 1:18Speaker 1: companies not long ago, the heads of the oil companies.
- 1:21Speaker 1: There's actually no reason for the price of oil to
- 1:23Speaker 1: be up in the United States, logically, because we produce
- 1:27Speaker 1: all our own oil. We don't get any oil out
- 1:30Speaker 1: of the Strait of Hormuz. We don't get any oil
- 1:33Speaker 1: out of the Middle East. When the president got in,
- 1:35Speaker 1: he opened up all the drilling and we now produce
- 1:39Speaker 1: more oil than anybody in the world. We not only
- 1:43Speaker 1: have more oil than we could ever use, we got
- 1:45Speaker 1: all the oil we need. We're actually supplying oil to
- 1:48Speaker 1: everybody in the world. So if we have more oil
- 1:52Speaker 1: than we can ever use, why do we need a
- 1:53Speaker 1: price increase? Well, these oil companies, two reasons. They like
- 1:57Speaker 1: to base it on the worldwide price. And the other
- 2:00Speaker 1: reason is, even though we have all this oil, we
- 2:05Speaker 1: don't have enough refineries to refine it. We might have
- 2:08Speaker 1: tons of crude coming out of the ground, but you
- 2:10Speaker 1: need a refinery to turn it into gasoline. And the
- 2:14Speaker 1: problem is, and I hate to blame Democrats for this,
- 2:17Speaker 1: but you are kind of to blame for this. Over
- 2:20Speaker 1: the years, they stopped allowing anybody to build a refinery everywhere.
- 2:25Speaker 1: So we were stuck at a certain amount of refineries.
- 2:27Speaker 1: When we went to more drilling and more oil, we
- 2:30Speaker 1: needed more refineries, and Democrats and blue states wouldn't allow
- 2:34Speaker 1: any refineries. They decided to make it sound like nuclear plants.
- 2:39Speaker 1: We can't have a refinery here. I mean, I imagine
- 2:42Speaker 1: they do smell a lot, a refinery, and I imagine
- 2:45Speaker 1: they do put some sludge in a river, but you
- 2:47Speaker 1: do need them. So we don't have enough refineries to
- 2:51Speaker 1: keep up with all the oil we got, and that's
- 2:53Speaker 1: the problem. Kennedy Center, looking at bankruptcy possibly. You know,
- 3:00Speaker 1: the Kennedy Center was a mess when Donald Trump took office.
- 3:05Speaker 1: An absolute mess. And it's amazing, you know, they yell
- 3:10Speaker 1: and scream that he's messing it up. It's amazing how
- 3:13Speaker 1: previous administrations from Bush to Biden to Obama paid no
- 3:20Speaker 1: attention necessarily It's the federal government that runs the Kennedy Center,
- 3:23Speaker 1: and apparently the whole place was decaying, falling apart. And,
- 3:28Speaker 1: you know, when the president came in, and there's nobody
- 3:30Speaker 1: more expert on this. He went through the inner workings
- 3:34Speaker 1: of the building and said this whole building has to
- 3:36Speaker 1: be redone. And, again, he's a world expert on this
- 3:41Speaker 1: sort of stuff. He said the whole underbelly of the business,
- 3:43Speaker 1: the whole infrastructure of the building needs to be replaced, repaired.
- 3:47Speaker 1: And it turns out he was right. It turns out
- 3:50Speaker 1: a lot of it. is tremendous, what they call water intrusion.
- 3:54Speaker 1: That's more than water and damage. It's water intrusion. In
- 3:57Speaker 1: other words, as they built the building and kept fiddling
- 4:02Speaker 1: with it and adding on, they never got the piping
- 4:05Speaker 1: system right. So many of these pipes were just leaking
- 4:08Speaker 1: water into everything. So the whole building at some point
- 4:12Speaker 1: will just collapse. They had an incident about a week
- 4:14Speaker 1: ago where a big chunk of the ceiling collapsed. Luckily,
- 4:19Speaker 1: it was when the Kennedy Center was closed because this
- 4:21Speaker 1: enormous chunk of the ceiling came crashing down into the lobby,
- 4:26Speaker 1: which is where everybody would be standing before a show. Luckily,
- 4:30Speaker 1: it was closed, so no injuries, but pretty bad, this stuff. Hey,
- 4:34Speaker 1: we're talking about our crazy mayor, Mamdani. You know, he
- 4:37Speaker 1: still hasn't got a federal security clearance. Been in office
- 4:41Speaker 1: nine months. Now, what does that mean? Well, it means
- 4:43Speaker 1: he can't get briefed on classified information involving terrorism, or
- 4:48Speaker 1: other threats to New York City. Not that he would
- 4:50Speaker 1: listen anyway. Now, he argues that this always takes a
- 4:56Speaker 1: year or two to get a security clearance. I don't know.
- 5:00Speaker 1: It took Bill de Blasio a year. It took Eric
- 5:02Speaker 1: Adams a while. But again, I have a feeling it
- 5:05Speaker 1: didn't take Giuliani. I have a feeling it didn't take
- 5:07Speaker 1: Bloomberg a year to get it done. But now, he
- 5:14Speaker 1: also points out There are a number of senior administration
- 5:18Speaker 1: officials who have the security clearance who can get the briefings,
- 5:21Speaker 1: and the NYPD gets the briefings, and they can brief
- 5:25Speaker 1: him if they have to. But you have to get vetted,
- 5:28Speaker 1: and it's handled by the FBI. And one of these
- 5:31Speaker 1: guys might take their time, de Blasio and Mom Donnie,
- 5:35Speaker 1: because they don't want too much investigation into their past. Hey,
- 5:39Speaker 1: that Macklemore with his anti-Israel, anti-Semitic crap, was thrown off
- 5:45Speaker 1: the tour by Ed Sheeran. He was on tour with
- 5:49Speaker 1: Ed Sheeran and apparently some venues were objecting to McLemore
- 5:53Speaker 1: with his anti-Semitic nonsense. And so they threw him off
- 5:57Speaker 1: the tour. They don't want to lose any venues. McLemore
- 6:01Speaker 1: now blaming Bob Kraft. Robert Kraft, he said, made these
- 6:05Speaker 1: phone calls and got him kicked off. They were supposed
- 6:07Speaker 1: to play Gillette Stadium, which is owned by the Kraft Group.
- 6:10Speaker 1: And he said Ed Sheeran told him that Kraft wouldn't
- 6:16Speaker 1: allow him into Gillette Stadium. Well, good for Robert Kraft,
- 6:20Speaker 1: who's been fighting anti-Semitism, running a whole campaign against it.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Good for him. Hey, you know, there's 9-11 files that
- 6:28Speaker 1: have never been declassified. President Trump wants to declassify some
- 6:34Speaker 1: of them. Apparently, there's one that told Bill Clinton that
- 6:38Speaker 1: Al-Qaeda was present in the U.S., that they were looking
- 6:43Speaker 1: to hijack an airplane that and loaded with explosives. So
- 6:48Speaker 1: this is pretty much 9-11 being planned. This declassified file,
- 6:53Speaker 1: there was a warning Clinton received from intelligence agencies saying
- 6:57Speaker 1: that Al-Qaeda members were in the US. They had even
- 7:00Speaker 1: performed a trial run at a New York airport. Trial
- 7:04Speaker 1: run would mean seeing if they could get through security,
- 7:06Speaker 1: get on the plane. And we do know that the
- 7:10Speaker 1: 9-11 hijackers did do that. They did some trial runs
- 7:14Speaker 1: In the weeks before, you remember, it was a few
- 7:16Speaker 1: weeks before 9-11, Mohammed Adda and those terrorists did a
- 7:21Speaker 1: trial run. They managed to get through security and get
- 7:23Speaker 1: on a plane. And you remember the actor James Woods
- 7:27Speaker 1: saw them and thought they were terrorists. And he tried
- 7:30Speaker 1: to warn people. He tried to warn the flight crew
- 7:34Speaker 1: and the police that these guys look like terrorists. They
- 7:37Speaker 1: were up to something. Nobody listened to him, but even
- 7:42Speaker 1: he spotted it. Also, there's a December 4th, 1998 intelligence
- 7:48Speaker 1: briefing to President Clinton saying bin Laden is prepared to
- 7:51Speaker 1: hijack U.S. aircraft. Some members of the bin Laden network
- 7:55Speaker 1: have received hijack training, according to various sources. He's planning
- 8:01Speaker 1: to use aircraft against the United States. Now, this is
- 8:03Speaker 1: not Bush that got these warnings. This is Clinton that
- 8:05Speaker 1: got these warnings. If you look at the Bush intelligence briefings,
- 8:08Speaker 1: they never said this. This is the Clinton intelligence briefing.
- 8:12Speaker 1: So the president releasing these files so that everybody could
- 8:18Speaker 1: see them. There's also a warning that bin Laden was
- 8:21Speaker 1: mulling an attack on a shopping mall in Washington, D.C. So, hey,
- 8:28Speaker 1: James Bond, Pierce Brosnan. He was a pretty good James Bond.
- 8:32Speaker 1: He was the last, you know, dashing, witty James. Then
- 8:37Speaker 1: they went with the Daniel Craig, sour, nasty-looking, rough-looking sort
- 8:41Speaker 1: of a character. Which, if you read the original books
- 8:46Speaker 1: by Ian Fleming, that's the way the character was in
- 8:48Speaker 1: the books. He wasn't Sean Connery or Roger Moore. The
- 8:51Speaker 1: James Bond that was in the original books was Daniel Craig.
- 8:54Speaker 1: You know, rough, somber, not-so-flashy sort of a guy. But
- 9:00Speaker 1: Pierce Brosnan lives in Malibu, $ 100 million Malibu compound in...
- 9:06Speaker 1: big house and bought up lots near it and it
- 9:09Speaker 1: became a whole compound with different houses 100 million he's
- 9:12Speaker 1: got to move he said he has to get out
- 9:14Speaker 1: of there there's earthquakes there's fires the costs are going
- 9:18Speaker 1: through the roof he said living in california is too
- 9:21Speaker 1: expensive now it's too crazy he's living right next to
- 9:25Speaker 1: the pacific ocean he said it's too vulnerable there to
- 9:28Speaker 1: wildfires to earthquakes to sinkholes uh who was the actor
- 9:33Speaker 1: just had a sinkhole Nick Cage, was it Nick Cage?
- 9:35Speaker 1: Sinkhole right at his house. Brosnan's own home has already
- 9:40Speaker 1: had some frightening brushes with flames. There was a fire
- 9:45Speaker 1: that came right near him. It was one that hit
- 9:47Speaker 1: his garage, did a million dollars in damage. He also
- 9:51Speaker 1: said California isn't cheap anymore, too expensive to live there.
- 9:55Speaker 1: And he's getting the hell out of there. More and
- 9:58Speaker 1: more people leave. California. Blue states. The exodus continues. You know,
- 10:05Speaker 1: when they take the census, they never disqualify illegals. If
- 10:11Speaker 1: you're illegal, you're in the census. You get counted as
- 10:14Speaker 1: part of the population. And why do that? Well, because,
- 10:20Speaker 1: I don't know, I guess you got to know how
- 10:21Speaker 1: many people are actually here. But the problem is they
- 10:23Speaker 1: use the census to decide the congressional districts. So that's
- 10:29Speaker 1: why the Democrats would send plane loads of illegals into
- 10:33Speaker 1: certain areas. You remember those secret planes that were flying
- 10:36Speaker 1: in the middle of the night, dropping off illegals in
- 10:37Speaker 1: certain places? That was to fill up the district and
- 10:42Speaker 1: get another congressional seat that way. They'd pick a blue area,
- 10:45Speaker 1: fly them in, or a red area and fly in
- 10:49Speaker 1: all the illegals to change the demographics. But the Trump
- 10:52Speaker 1: administration wants to stop all that so that in the
- 10:56Speaker 1: citizenship questionnaire, they'd find out right away if you're a citizen,
- 11:00Speaker 1: if you're not a true citizen, an illegal alien, an
- 11:03Speaker 1: illegal citizen, that you wouldn't be counted in the census,
- 11:08Speaker 1: which sounds pretty logical. So they're going to propose this.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Democrats are already planning to challenge it. and try to
- 11:15Speaker 1: block it because they certainly don't want that to happen. Hey,
- 11:19Speaker 1: 60 Minutes, we told you they did this great piece
- 11:21Speaker 1: on the pilot that was trapped behind enemy lines in
- 11:25Speaker 1: Iran that had to be rescued. Dramatic piece. Which is
- 11:30Speaker 1: what the old 60 Minutes used to do. You know,
- 11:32Speaker 1: interview these heroes, do a dramatic little, quick little documentary
- 11:37Speaker 1: on them. So there's another one they should do. A
- 11:39Speaker 1: lot of people are saying they should do the U.S.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Navy SEALs who spent four months underwater, Strait of Hormuz.
- 11:47Speaker 1: They're the ones that got the mines out of the water.
- 11:50Speaker 1: You remember, we couldn't go through the strait because all
- 11:51Speaker 1: the mines that were in there would blow up the ships.
- 11:55Speaker 1: So they had to do these dives, mostly in the
- 11:57Speaker 1: middle of the night. Divers had robot boats. They had
- 12:00Speaker 1: special underwater crafts. It was very, very dangerous work. Very dangerous.
- 12:05Speaker 1: But they went in there and they removed thousands of mines.
- 12:08Speaker 1: It would be a great 60 Minutes piece. Fascinating story.
- 12:13Speaker 1: The divers got every last mine out of there. They
- 12:17Speaker 1: cleared the straits. All the mines have been removed. Now,
- 12:21Speaker 1: a lot of them, if they saw a mine, they
- 12:24Speaker 1: would have to send an explosive and blow up the
- 12:26Speaker 1: mine if the mine was impossible to take out. They
- 12:29Speaker 1: would just blow it up down there. But they freed
- 12:33Speaker 1: the Strait of Hormuz for us, so pretty good. A
- 12:37Speaker 1: concert for dogs? Would you take your dog to a concert? No, no,
- 12:40Speaker 1: I don't mean a concert you like. These are concerts
- 12:43Speaker 1: for dogs. I don't know. I don't know. Anybody finds
- 12:47Speaker 1: a way to make money off pets. You know, you
- 12:49Speaker 1: used to have a pet. Didn't cost you that much.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Then they figured out how to make money off pets.
- 12:54Speaker 1: So the veterinarians got on the act. You know, we
- 12:58Speaker 1: could do what the regular medical people do. We'll charge
- 13:00Speaker 1: them for CAT scans. We'll charge them for MRIs. We'll
- 13:04Speaker 1: charge them for all this stuff. And now your pet,
- 13:07Speaker 1: the health care costs as much as a human. It's
- 13:09Speaker 1: crazy the cost of taking care of a pet. So
- 13:12Speaker 1: here's a way to make, they're going to have concerts
- 13:13Speaker 1: just for dogs. You'll bring your dog. Now it has
- 13:17Speaker 1: to be dog music. What is dog music? Well, research
- 13:20Speaker 1: has shown that gentle string-based arrangements appeal to dogs. And
- 13:26Speaker 1: they figured out exactly what beat, what tempo, what pace
- 13:29Speaker 1: it looks like. And I don't know if anybody really
- 13:32Speaker 1: believes this, but it says it'll promote relaxation in your dog.
- 13:36Speaker 1: So you bring your dog to the dog concert and
- 13:38Speaker 1: he's supposed to be in a better mood for the
- 13:41Speaker 1: rest of the week. Hey, that OpenAI, all these AI companies,
- 13:47Speaker 1: I told you, they're loaded up with all those CIA
- 13:50Speaker 1: guys that were involved in the Russia hoax, all these
- 13:53Speaker 1: political dirty tricksters. They're very tangled up with Democrats. Now,
- 13:57Speaker 1: OpenAI just hired Chuck Schumer's daughter. Yeah, that's right. Jessica
- 14:04Speaker 1: Schumer suddenly gets a big job with OpenAI to handle
- 14:09Speaker 1: the company's government outreach. Yeah. Lobby through Chuck Schumer. So
- 14:15Speaker 1: this is what you got to be careful. Be very
- 14:17Speaker 1: weary of these AI companies. As we told you before,
- 14:21Speaker 1: this whole thing about them warning everybody how dangerous it is,
- 14:24Speaker 1: calling for regulation. I know. Whenever you hear tech guys,
- 14:28Speaker 1: tech CEOs trying to sound like saints, trying to sound noble,
- 14:32Speaker 1: be very leery. And what industry calls for a regulation?
- 14:38Speaker 1: It's all a bit of a PSYOP operation. Again, they
- 14:44Speaker 1: got a lot of CIA guys working. The same guys
- 14:46Speaker 1: that were in the Russia hoax. The same guys that
- 14:49Speaker 1: covered up the laptop. They're all working for these AI companies.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Obama has been carefully coordinating this. A couple of reasons. One,
- 14:58Speaker 1: they want to make it the new climate change. The
- 15:01Speaker 1: fear of AI is going to be the new climate change.
- 15:04Speaker 1: to think Republicans will be on the wrong side. Democrats
- 15:07Speaker 1: can use it to win. So that's one reason. The
- 15:10Speaker 1: other reason, the reason these AI companies want to jump in,
- 15:12Speaker 1: they would like government to take over and put in
- 15:15Speaker 1: regulations and red tape because these four or five AI
- 15:18Speaker 1: companies already dominate. They already control AI. So they're not
- 15:23Speaker 1: looking for any newcomers. They're not looking for any new startups,
- 15:26Speaker 1: new company. They don't want anybody new getting in. That's
- 15:28Speaker 1: why they want the government to sort of close the fence,
- 15:30Speaker 1: close the gate. So, These guys can control it. Nobody
- 15:34Speaker 1: else can get in. Hey, we'll take some calls next.
- 15:36Speaker 1: 800-321-0710 is the number. 800-321-0710.
